A group of six of us visited last night, food was very average, and very expensive for the size of the portions, considering this is meant to be an American style restaurant. Not one of us could say their meal was delicious, it was just ok. Meat was dry, steak overcooked, the meat platters had ni bbq sauce. Service was average, After our initial drinks & food order was taken, we then had to ask for everything, cutlery, hand wipes for the people that had ribs & lobster, more drinks, also had ordered a portion of chunky chips , had to ask for them twice before they finally arrived and have noticed on the receipt this morning we ve been charged for 2 portions. Cocktails were good. Drink prices were very reasonable , but food is very overpriced for what it is. Very disappointing , summing up it is just a a very expensive overpriced restaurant.

We booked a work team meal for 18. I had difficulty booking from the A La Carte Menu for 18 on one table, so had to book with 2 separate tables. I called many times and spoke to Ana and requested if we could be seated near each other and preferably upstairs as i knew it would be very noisy downstairs with the live band. My response was always we cannot guarantee that. When we arrived it most definitely was not guaranteed as we had 1 table seated downstairs and 1 upstairs!! However after speaking with the helpful Manager and the lovely attentive waitress, her name was Alina I think. We was moved to 2 tables upstairs, near each other as requested. We had a lovely time, with nice food and drinks in the end. I have deleted 1 star after calling many times and our request being ignored and I have given an extra star to Alina for her attentive, lovely Customer Service we received.

I visited Big Easy with some friends for my sons 8th birthday celebration. There was a slight wait to be seated which wasnt ideal as we had some very hungry kids with us but I could appreciate it was a Saturday and very busy! Our waitress Louisa was so lovely and very accomdating. She helped to put some candkes in my sons birthday cake, bring out as a surprise and sang Happy Birthday to him. Everyone in my group had a really good time. One negative was that the ladies toilets were not up to par unfortunately. There were 2 stalls that did not toilet paper and the stalls were not very clean. Big Easy should look at changing this ASAP as it also adds to the overall experience.

Quite an extensive menu which was good to see. Food quality is a mix bag on this occasion. Wife enjoyed her steak and others enjoyed the wings and grand platter. I had ordered the briskett and one other person ordered mac and cheese and it was tasteless and didnt taste like it was cooked fresh. I felt quite grim after eating it and still feeling the affects a day later. Just to clarify i wouldnt go as far to say food poisoning but maybe the richness of the food or somthing has made me feel not so great. Service in general was good (apart from slow service to get the kids deserts) and the live music was decent. I probably would be willing to give it one more go but order different dishes.

Upon entry a very unwelcoming approach by the assumed Manager (only one wearing a light chequered shirt, European accent), no smile, no greeting, just a short have you booked? He then proceeded to act as though a walk-in was a foreign and hugely unacceptable concept. Labouring the point, to the point of embarrassment, in front of other customers. The sarcasm and condescending approach (for example would have been nice, wouldnt it? and other silly comments) and immediately confirming no space (when UPON CHECKING, realising that there was in fact lots of space) was not appreciated. Simply turning us away politely wouldve been fine, as there are plenty of other restaurants around! Unsure if it was small man syndrome, a baseless superiority complex, or a very very weird sense of humour, but it was a terribly unprofessional approach. The waiting staff were lovely though, so thanks to them for their warmth and hospitality.

This was our first visit (celebrated my brothers birthday) and we re truly looked after! Everything was perfect! The staff always attentive (special thanks to Angela who went above and beyond). Went on a heaving pre- Christmas Saturday a s a foursome. Didnt book but were welcomed in to wait at the bar, being told a table wouldnt be long. that was 50 minutes before the table was available, not sure why we didnt leave as we were also ignored by the staff at the bar when trying to get drinks. Apparently you can only purchase cola by the pint too, as it is out of the pump!! Not sure why a smaller glass cant be given as im sure you dont have a pint of coke in your rum... By this time it was about 9.15pm. The starters and main course were nice, but you have to be careful that what you orders actually comes with what is advertised. I took the Texan steak (I think it was), but had to send back for the coleslaw and beans. There are substitutions allowed, but I dont like chunky chips and was a bit peeved I could have had skinny chips, but not given the option. Live music was good and not too loud that you couldnt have a conversation.

Madu was very attentive, super cool, we ordered surf n turf lobster and steak, amazing and the starters were phenomenal. We also ordered the crab shack with mixture of seafood, only cortiscism was the snow crab legs had 0 meat in them, cracked them whilst showing the team and literally nada, hopefully just a one off as it s a crab shack but the lobster was sublime.

Everything was amazing. Starters, service the lobster and the steak. But there was no meat in the snow crab legs and the little meat there was was very dry and salty.

Stake was OK. Ive been told the steaks are fantastic here but must have had a miss night. Had 18 ounce rib eye and it looked fantastic just tatsed a little bland. Music was great, service great and buy one get one free on all drinks was pretty good

That said, the space, food & drink, and all else, are only as captivating as the people who run the show, and Madu was the perfect complement to the evening. Big pig gig: the ribs were good, pulled pork ok but the chicken was very dry. Overall ok. For the surf and turf: the lobster was pretty good but the steak was very tough. It was difficult to cut it on the serving tray, so worth taking the hot plate onto the table. Food was average but the service and atmosphere was quite good. Olivia and Ebin provided good service!

We booked a table for eight to celebrate my daughter s birthday today Sunday 2/12. I d eaten there once previously during the week for my birthday in October and food was great. On this occasion we couldn t have been more disappointed! Some food was cold and one person s went back twice & still wasn t warm on second occasion. She opted just to eat the chips. There was confusion over what drinks could replace the declined Prosecco so we ended up paying for these! To be fair we didn t mind where we d intended to order cocktails but this was not always the case! Two orders of lobster rolls definitely didn t look like what was online and I d happily post the comparative photos but doesn t appear to be option to do so! Manager s response was they didn t have any of those! Although he did speak to us, he seemed uninterested and when told some people s food was cold responded this is an American vibe & they don t serve cold food, when we d we clearly showed him that they did. There were 7 adults and the original bill was £300+ with service charge. They said they d remove that and didn t do so fully. Food the manager agreed to deduct wasn t. The starters were nothing to write home about either in portion size taste or standard. My share of bill was over £100! I don t mind paying if the food is great but this was extortionate for a very poor standard and what was worse not only spoiled a birthday celebration but it felt as though staff thought we were simply trying to avoid paying the bill! It was so disappointing that none of us will return and I felt the manager didn t empathise enough or acknowledge their poor standard. I had to apologise to the whole party as I d told them how great the food was. Never again! I had the half lobster with garlic, it was overcooked and chewy and that was the same for 3 of us who had that, at £28.50 each definitely overpriced! I couldn t in good conscience recommend this place! Over priced and over rated! Was really a shame!

The restaurant was nice but very cold so had to eat with our coats on. But the service was excellent despite the cold. The food was enjoyable and affordable. The management was kind to take the service charge off our bill because of the cold. Thank you. Overall, a good experience. Vegetarian options: Not much to choose from.
