Westfield stratford city, Montfichet Rd, London E15 1AZ, United Kingdom
Stupidly didn’t look at the reviews before I came. Food was really really poor - barely any beef or chicken in any of the dishes. Only received more than one star because the staff were nice
1. Recommended by a friend, the back of the chairs are hitting each other. Had to figure out by ourselves to adjust the chairs, so we don't get unexpected nudges in the back during the dining experience. 2. Slyly add the 12.5% service charge before being actually helped/ served any food. The waitress asked us to prepay without issuing a bill. 3. The food was average. Thanks to the uncooked edges of the roti, we could taste the dough. We were left with a bitter taste in our mouth after this disappointing experience.
Food was nice, the rice was flavourful and very delicious, I also enjoyed the fried chicken but not so much the soup. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I chose another dish so would come back here again to try something new. The daal was delicious. Service is great, staff are super friendly. Great atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping centre. Front staff: Wan Daniel and Navya Chef: Johan
Came here today to try something new - and was not disappointed! The food was flavourful, piping hot and fresh and the staff were wonderful :)) I would definitely recommend to anyone!! My favourite dish was definitely the Murtabak!
I really liked the coconut pancake of rasa. But I moved to west London last year. I tried it by chance but It is really bad. The roll is too thick and the flover of brown sugar is too strong. Could you please try it and do better next time. The unqualified rolls shouldn’t be sold for 4.9 pounds
Went there for dinner. The chicken laksa was very nice and also the teh tarik. Decent portion. Asked for the spicy one and did get spicy, its nice. The waiter was really funny, the laksa was nice as he recommended. However, a friend ordered roti jala for apperizer to share but didn't get it until we finished and actually forgotten that order because we were rushed to go to other store before westfield closed.
Overall, if you're actually already in Westfield then it's worth a visit. The food itself is ok, not really the best flavours I've had as its rather bland. Spice level is good but depth of flavour is a tad lacking. The laksa was average, the roti was a bit better, and the curry puff was quite tasty and I can definitely recommend Rasa a quick bite to eat if you're already in Westfield.
We’ve been ordering from Rasa twice a week for the past 3 years because the food is freshly prepared using fresh ingredients. The hygiene rating is a 5/5 which is very important to us, we don’t order a lot elsewhere as you don’t know what you will get sometimes. At least here we know we get high quality fresh food that always tastes like it’s a homemade meal. It doesn’t matter what you choose from the menu it all is delicious. Try it, you’ll thank me later.
Food was no where near as tasty as other Malaysian restaurants I have been to, staff were lovely, bad taste
the food seriously need some rework. Chicken satay recipe needs work, and the satay sauce has no flavour. The nasi lemak ayam goreng is ok but nothing outstanding.
Really like this place - much better than you have any right to expect from a small food-court restaurant. No idea if it is family run, but it feels family run. Only been there a couple times but the staff were kind and welcoming and smiley. And the food is *really* good.
No good curry so sweet no hot penang lasak no good food
Authentic fried noodles. Fried noodles are good
Awful curry laksa, which was the worst Id ever eaten and didnt manage beyond the first mouthful. The noodles were cooked until they were almost a soft mush, the curry sauce tasted bland, inauthentic and without any depth of flavour, and the dish was inexplicably garnished with peas, carrots and sweetcorn (from a frozen pack?) like a 1970s school dinner. I wish I had taken a photo as proof because I can barely believe it myself. Speaking as a person of Malaysian heritage, if you want authentic Malaysian food I would strongly advise you stay away from this place as it only serves to give our food a bad name. The only positive was how understanding the staff were.
Had Soup and Noodles for my Lunch. This place makes some very good asian meals.
Very delicious food! Good service! We enjoyed our time! Thank you!
The Roti Canai here is totally delicious - I always get it with chicken (and its a bargain, I think at around £7). Navya served me and Chef Danish cooked and they were great!
Sedap new!
the staff are so lovely but the food is such a letdown. chicken tastes spongey and is obviously frozen, everything is brought out at once / mains being brought out before starters etc. wouldn t recommend
Really lovely staff and great food
The beef in the beef dishes is ridiculously hard and far from being tender.
Really polite welcoming staff, the food was delicious. I also liked the fact that it was away from the main eateries at Westfield. The noise levels in those places is excruciating. My partner and I could actually have a relaxed conversation whilst we were eating. Will be my go to place to eat when shopping at Westfield Stratford.
Delicious food and lovely service. Staff were very nice and even gave us dates to break our fast as it s Ramadan. Loved every item we got. Highly recommend
Food is not good. The Assam Laksa I had didnt taste a single bit of fish. Digging through the entire bowl of noodles there wasnt a single piece of sardine, nor could I taste of any. The other dishes the table ordered like plain roti were average at best. There are better places out there serving Malaysian food.
Ordered the chicken nasi goreng and it was delicious, filling and comforting! Just what i needed for dinner. If youre going to Westfid Stratford, stop by this place for a bite. You wont regret it.
A good Malaysian restaurant at Westfield serving a variety of dishes. I would recommend their laksa which is quite filling and hearty. The waiters there are funny as well. Only point of improvement is for patrons to check that all their order is provided. My group had ordered an appetizer but it was not served. We didn t realize until we got out of the restaurant and it was closing time, as we stayed at the restaurant for quite a while.
Dined here and a few times, a year or so apart. Each time, I have high hopes then have the same feeling after the meal. Not really authentic Malaysian (why are there crispy onion, carrots and cauliflower in the mee goreng?), so I d probably only consider if really desperate for Malaysian food (or haven t travelled to those regions). Not sure why service is charged when you order at counter?
When I ordered food I mentioned my food intolerance, yet when the food was served it contained the allergen. Very disappointed.
Interesting and tasty food, really good service, definitely something to explore!
Love Malaysian cafe sitting at the back of Stratford Westfield shopping centre, food was great, big portions, bit price, but totally worth it.
they sat us next to the back door which staff kept using disturbing our meal. To top it off, we were herded out of the restaurant as soon as we finished the meal citing a queue .
Great food ! Special mention to Danish and Arjun for looking after us :)
Authentic Malaysian food
Honestly, Im a bit disappointed. Food was below average; didnt finish it. Bit shocked they charge 12.5% for service when you order from the counter. And was asked to pay extra just for ice.
Rasa restaurant is located at the Ground floor, close to Waitrose Supermarket. I had Roti Canai (Prata) with chicken curry and a cup of Tea Tarik (Malaysian style tea). It was exactly like back in Malaysia. Thank you for chatting Nor. Parking: Westfield Stratford carpark
Delicious
They have changed the recipes and ingredients used, now the dishes are completely different (and look completely different) and the food is terrible
