The Restaurant at NoMad London is set inside a soaring three-storey atrium evocative of a lush Edwardian greenhouse. Our menu is eclectic with a focus on local and regional bounty from farm, field and coast, offering dishes to comfort the spirit and moments of decadence and whimsy for nights to remember. An extensive wine list curated by Wine Director Alessia Ferrarello and a drinks programme created by Bar Director Liana Oster and the celebrated NoMad Bar team complement the menu and are a destination unto themselves.
The food tasted good and the atmosphere was lovely. The restaurant’s reception staff seemed slightly unfriendly however the staff for the restaurant were very welcoming and kind. The food was good - slightly overpriced for what it’s worth. The pancakes are very dense and cakey, but the flavour was good. The omelette was good.
Came here with code app with great knowledge about hospitality. The place itself looks very nice. Service started of great but downhill towards closing time. Became a bit more rushy to get us out. Had starters and mains. Starters were ok nothing special. Mains (tomahawk and pheasant). Well I had the tomahawk and it was most likely the worst tomahawk I had. The tomahawk had no flavour, didn’t taste right and was just not it. For the dessert well we were told to make a quick choice if we wanted anything?? Well we decide not too as we felt rushed. When leaving my friend had a cigarette outside and was told to piss off by some rude employee. Definitely do not recommend. Only nice aesthetics for pictures..
Stunning location visually with surprisingly great food. Starters were light and fresh, mains were perfectly cooked - tried both the halibut and seabass as well as the chicken, all great. Delicious crisps and fabulous truffle pasta. Quite expensive, our bill came close to 700£ with alcohol for 4, but then again you’re in a stunning setting at a 5 star hotel. Great to see friends or to take our clients.
Visiting from Manhattan, this was one of the best meals we had on our visit. The food was incredible, portioned appropriately and spaced out in a manner that didn't make us feel rushed. We were able to take our time, order more food and was never asked to leave or presented with the bill before asking. The darker vibes make for a perfect date night and the music gets better as time goes on. The sommelier knew the wine list like he has worked here his entire life, even only being there since February. I will be back every time I visit London.
Went to the NoMad for afternoon high tea. Often high teas are very hit and miss - this one is definitely a hit! Well worth it for the price. Delicious sweet and savoury treats, well presented and in a really gorgeous setting. Staff is very pleasant and welcoming.
Lovely visit to the NoMad restaurant yesterday for a girlie catch up with friend. We couldn't have left happier after friendly, attentive and professional service, delicious food and drinks. Sommelier is extremely knowledgeable and recommended us the type of wine we have never tried before, which we loved! The atmosphere is intimate and romantic, perfect for a date, whether with your partners, or like, your girlfriend. Will definitely be back, maybe for a brunch/lunch next time to see this stunning venue in the day light! Thanks team! Visited for dinner on Fri 27th Sept 2024.
Had an afternoon tea here absolutely stunning! They have a unique selection of sandwiches and sides that I have never tried an afternoon tea. The waiter was so helpful and enthusiastic. We were also given top ups three times. Only minor minus is the selection of teas is not that much but the food overall is excellent.
Stumbled upon this place by chance. It’s a stunning vibe, similar to sitting in a spacious and lush greenhouse. The green interior is beautiful and the natural light brightens everything up. The food was good — ordered the burrata, asparagus, spinach pasta, and potatoes. All came beautifully presented. I also ordered an iced matcha, which was delightful. Our waitress was so personable and willing to answer all of our questions. This place is definitely on the higher end, but to be expected out of an upscale hotel restaurant.
I recently discovered cute spot at The Nomad hotel in London . I am not sure if the bar is part of the restaurant but i just want to say drinks and mulled wine was divine . I love atmosphere so much and I will be back for sure
We came as a group of 9 for a birthday celebration, and the experience was very disappointing!! There was no table for 9 whereas we asked for it on phone few days earlier, so we were split into TWO tables and told we couldn t move them closer because it would ruin the aesthetic. . The portion sizes were incredibly SMALL (only ONE scallop , one truffle potato, with no taste of truffle at all, and a tiny purée). They were out of baked potatoes and offered basic fries or steamed potatoes instead that everybody can cook at home. The food itself was very average, with poorly seasoned dishes and service mistakes throughout the evening.. After we complained, they finally moved the tables together so we could eat the cake, which, by the way, costs £10 per person to serve if you bring your own. Crazy that we have to insist to have a table for a birthday with all the guests?? While the venue is undeniably stunning, it s not worth it for group dinners or special occasions. It s stealing your money
Wonderful restaurant.
The employees way of dealing with me was very bad. I did not like the way he dealt with me.
Went for lunch and not much on the menu and a bit pricey, for what it is
Incredible service and fantastic food! The menu had a great variety, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. A hidden gem!
This place exceeded all my expectations. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a nice dinner out. I had the steak, and it was cooked to perfection. The dessert was the cherry on top literally! I ll definitely be coming back.
We came with 2 girlfriends for dinner this Saturday evening. Enchanted by the charm of the building, we expected to have a very pleasant time! The atmosphere was very good and the waiters pleasant despite the water technique to make us pay more (£9 for bottled water from the tap). Lets talk about the price, £ 76 net with 15% service (£ 13.80) and 20% VAT (£ 15), which increases to £ 105 !!! £30 in the air!! It s theft And then without mentioning the quantity of dishes, £29 for a mini risotto (which is also advertised as the most quantitative dish) Bad experience
Way to expensive for the quality of the food. So very disappointed! The real interest of this place is the ambiance, absolutely gorgeous place and incredible decoration! The ambiance is not really matching the type of cooking though, because the food is mostly Italian, so I was very surprised, in particular when the name of the place is Nomad. I was told by the waitress that the buffala mozzarella for starter was gluten free as I am gluten free. When it came, it was a piece of mozzarella with a huge piece of bread on top (full of gluten) and a tomato sauce on the bread so I clearly could not eat this dish so I had to give it to my friends. Then I ordered the truffle risotto and it was really ridiculous. They served it in a plate and the quantity was so small that I clearly was still hungry at the end. £39 for that, it is really a shame! It was really freezing in the restaurant so we had to ask a couple of times if they could reduce a bit the AC or we asked to be moved to another table. They said they had no space available while there were a couple of available tables but at the end it was ok they did reduce the AC a bit. We ordered cocktails but the waitress was still constantly filling our glasses with tap water. We were really wondering why she was doing that and we understood at the end, they charged £9 for the tap water, which I thought was forbidden in London and explained why she was constantly filling our drinks, it £3 per bottle. But despite that, the service was good. So you clearly do not pay as much for the quality of the food, it is clearly mediocre, but you paid for the room, the ambiance and the restaurant, which was really amazing. But I will never come back! Therere loads of better places in London I think.
The service here was great, our waiter/ host Agosh and Andrea (sorry if I spelt the names wrong) were very attentive and made the experience very enjoyable! I would definitely be back due to the great service. I wanted a mojito as I don t drink alcohol and although not on the drinks menu Agosh went to great lengths to deliver, thank you for that. However one waiters was a bit rude about flash pictures.
Not very impressed with Nomad. Tiny portions, very obtrusive service and no atmosphere. Food was OK, but overall would not recommend this restaurant.
Was visiting from New York and was honestly the best dinner we had our entire trip! Food was incredible and service was great.
Id read some not-so-great reviews about the service here, but in my experience it was really excellent. The food was tasty but the menu is just far too short for lunch and is an odd mix of options. If someone could redo the menu then this place would be awesome!
Lovely place, we spent an amazing time there, we had our breakfast, everything was great, the atmosphere, the people and the service, Special thanks to the waiter Acosh, he was very friendly and helpful. A wonderful and beautiful place for breakfast. The place is very beautiful and comfortable and the staff are very friendly, especially Akush. The food was very delicious and the service was excellent. I strongly recommend it
Beautiful place!
Beautiful atmosphere, friendly and kind staff and nice cocktails. Would definitely recommend!
The food was no taste dose not equal to the value of what you will pay You can find better than this with cheaper prices I could not know the taste of my dish because it tested sour everything is in the dish taste sour Food : 1/5
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...... The service was absolutely appalling which is such a shame given the venue is aseptically so beautiful! Our waitress Andreaa was so rude and passive aggressive from the moment we arrived. I provided extra thank yous and smiles to Andreea in the hopes that she would be nice and polite to us, but this didnt happen. Andreea forgot to serve us the sandwiches so we initially only received the savoury bites and desserts. I asked Andreea if she could please provide the sandwiches but 30mins went by and we didnt receive them. I then asked another waitress who was lovely and arranged the sandwiches for us, who apologised for the wait. My scone was also baked with a hair coming out of it which I showed to Andreea and she advised she would let the chef know. The main disappointment was that I booked this venue to celebrate my friends 50th Birthday which I had booked in advance and noted when making the booking. I watched all the other waitresses during our sitting deliver the complimentary candle and sweets to other guests who were celebrating their birthdays. However it had been 2.5hrs when we had finished our afternoon, sitting there with a cleared table and still had not received the birthday candle. My friend went to the toilet and I then asked Andreea where was my friends birthday candle and sweets like the other guest received. I explained that I wrote this in the notes of the booking and confirmed via a phone call days prior. She tried to tell me they dont provide cake which was not what I asked for. She was trying to make out that I was asking for something extra to avoid that fact that she must have forgot. She told me she would talk to the chef and see what she could do. I advised Im not asking for anything extra, just the complimentary candle and sweets that everyone else received. We eventually received the candle and sweets however I did advise Andreea when finalising the bill that I was disappointed with the service given she forgot the sandwiches, there was a hair sticking out of the scone and she also forgot the birthday candle and sweets which was arranged prior (I didnt mention that fact that she was so rude). In stead of apologising for the mistakes, her response was Im sorry you feel that way. I advised its nothing to do with how I feel, but simply stating the mistakes that were made resulting in poor, below standard service especially for a venue like this. Andrea kept repeating that she is sorry I feel this way taking no accountability for her mistakes. My friend then insisted we speak to the manager who unfortunately also didnt provided great customer service, especially when I informed her that our waitress forgot our sandwiches, the birthday candle, and the scone which had a hair coming out it. The manger simply advised that it is not the level of service they aim to provide however no apology was provided and she seemed annoyed at my friend and I for raising the problems that occurred. Unfortunately I did get the mangers name but she had shoulder length brown curly hair. I didnt pay the £20 service fee given the unpleasant experience. Unfortunately Ive since read the many bad reviews online about the horrible service at this restaurant and completely agree. I should have checked the reviews first before booking. If this venue could hire good management and wait staff it would be a brilliant experience. Given our unfortunate experience I would not recommend having an English afternoon tea at NoMad. There are plenty of lovely hotels in London like the Langham where I have experienced a much better afternoon tea and more importantly, wonderful customer service.
Beware of the Lobster Tail, you will go home hungry if that s all you get. No warning beforehand by the staff. Nice atmosphere, but totally not worth the prices.
Great place for the dinner
The place is beautiful and explained The staff is great The food is normal and the coffee is cold
I recently had the pleasure of dining at NoMad, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The interior of the restaurant is absolutely stunning stylish, inviting, and thoughtfully designed to create a warm atmosphere. Every detail has been carefully considered, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was a true delight, with flavors that were perfectly balanced and portions that were just right. Everything was a solid 10/10. It s rare to find a place where every bite is a joy, but Nomad certainly delivered. What really set this place apart, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. They made us feel truly welcome, attending to our needs with genuine care and ensuring that our experience was nothing short of perfect. It s clear that they take great pride in what they do, and it made all the difference. If you re looking for a restaurant that offers delicious food, a beautiful setting, and top-notch service, I highly recommend NoMad. It s a dining experience that s sure to impress.
Had an lovey relaxing brunch with my best friend on Saturday. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Huge thanks to our lovely waiter!
The place is wonderful, especially during the day. It is very beautiful, and the colors are soothing to the eyes. I tried the coffee and the sweets were delicious, and the waiters were very nice. I will visit again
Really beautiful venue- lots of plants and a glass ceiling in a massive hall. Drinks were amazingly crafted, food was good but some dishes were a tiny bit of a miss, flavour wise. Recommend the tartare and sea bass.
Really enjoyed the experience we had last night, as we dined at the NoMad Restaurant. The friendly, international, staff gave us excellent advice on what food to order and what wines to pair the food with. Best of all, Chef Juan Hernandez asked us to leave the desserts to him and we were most impressed not only the taste but also the way they were presented!
Thank you for the memories. We had great time.
Went for brunch, the interior was gorgeous lush with greenery and the pancakes were delicious. The service has room for improvement regarding the wait time and noticing the patrons, it was like a game trying to flag down a server.
Great in one word!
Lovely breakfast in a beautiful space
Recommended!
Food was very good, I had the beet salad and wow ! Cocktails were amazing and service was stunning !!
Beautiful interiors and atmosphere. Good service. Unluckily the food wasn t great, I had a chai latte and pancakes but they were not good. Maybe it s better for drinks - not sure
Beautiful and well-kept environment. Large and elegant. Good food and adequate service.
So sad to write this review! Friend and I met for lunch here & there was only one vegetarian option which was a £17 cucumber sandwich this is wild for London! (As London is fabulous for vegetarians) Additionally the seating options were odd; either we were sat in the dark library (it s day time so we wanted to be in the atrium) or at the bar where it was cramped & not really where you eat a lunch. The whole thing was a bit rubbish really so we sacked it off and went somewhere else. I ve eaten dinner here before and had been impressed. Seems from my experience that others have felt similarly in recent times. Sad really! So much promise.
Another great place for breakfast. Menu is limited but it tastes good. I am craving the lemon poppyseed pancakes now Food
Beautiful atmosphere and great location. Stunning service, but the food not remarkable. Scallops had a good taste but the sea bass missing flavour, a bit bland. Great cocktails.
Good atmosphere and service but i do not recommend for the breakfast. Tried classic English breakfast (nothing special, fried eggs and black pudding are too much cooked), avocado toast (very sour) and porridge (just ok)
Came here for a quick pre-theater dinner. Very spacious, beautiful restaurant with a high glass ceiling and lots of plants. Food and drinks are good, but not memorable (also quite pricey).
We went Theres for my birthday and I recieved a lovely box of decorated chocolates and a birthday card from them.
The vibe of the place is great, looks great and the ambiance is luxurious but cosy. Unfortunately the food options were very average and lacking in taste, I got the French toast with bacon and the bacon was extremely crispy I would say way too overcooked but it was so hard to get the waiter s attention that I didn t bother sending it back. The pancakes were thick and not very fluffy which made them quite doughy. I tasted my friend s burger which lacked seasoning. The cocktails were nice though and so were the the fries. It s a shame as I had higher expectations. Also, they initially lost my friend s flowers which they had left in the cloakroom and the staff were not particularly apologetic about it, eventually they were found.
Horrendous experience with this place. The venue looks incredible, but is not the only reason I client wants to come in for. Me and a friend came in for breakfast as we were looking around covent garden for a nice place to eat on the 14th of May before going shopping. To our dissapointment, the service was extremely awful, staff lacked of the most basic logical skills. Most of what we ordered was never brought to the table or we were constantly misinformed by other members of staff regarding the availability of dishes in the menu or any beverage. A constant awkward behaviour from the waitress, and the other members of staff looked physically unpresentable (like if they were going through their worst hangover) and completely disoriented of their surroundings. At last, the food ordered(Two Lemon Poppy Pancakes), we thought it would have an amazing flavour and look presentable, and it did until my friend found a white piece of plastic inside the cream placed at the top of her pancakes. Leaving us without appetite, and desperately looking forward to pay at least for our teas and leave.
EDIT: after reaching out to them via email, they refunded us the $18 for the cocktail and apologized. My husband and I came to have afternoon tea since it was well spoken of online. We got there 10 minutes early, sat at the bar and ordered two very amazing cocktails from an amazing bartender (thank you bartender whose name I didn t get!). When it was our reserved time for tea we were guided over to our table where our server came over to greet us. We had two full cocktails since we had just ordered them from the bar, but the server went over what he suggested from the tea cocktail menu anyway which was fine, I m sure it s what he is supposed to do. My husband and I both nodded and said they do sound great and maybe we will order one later after our tea (we had no intention of it because the two cocktails we ordered at the bar were $18 each and we had underestimated how fancy the restaurant was so this was outside our comfort zone). A few minutes later, our server came back over with a cocktail from the list laughing saying he couldn t resist and that we had to try it. We awkwardly accepted the drink thinking maybe he was going to comp it since we definitely didn t order anything or even allude to it. Come to our surprise when we were charged $18 for the cocktail that he ordered for us. He never stopped by our table again, we had to ask a separate server for more hot water and then someone else brought us the bill. We were too embarrassed to ask about the cocktail charge since the hotel seemed much more fancy than we anticipated and didn t want to bring attention to ourselves. Not to mention we sat at our table for 40 minutes before our tea was brought out. We left feeling like we were scammed a bit. I wouldn t recommend going here at all.
I was greeted by a Great host, took my coat and asked if I was going to the opera. I said yes. She made a note to the server I had 1 1/2..I was dinning solo so should be plenty of time. Well started off great, got cocktail, and first course. Then 40 minutes go by after they took my first course away. The table next to me that ordered at the same time for their food and finished. I still hadnt. They hadnt even asked for a new drink for myself. As I had an empty glass. And had to refill my own water. All along was multiple servers avoiding eye contact. I had to leave in 15 minutes to make the show time. I waived over the server to ask whats going on, I think you forgot my order. He said he would check. Then another table that sat after me got their food. (They obviously forgot) I then had to wave down a manager that wasnt apologetic. She just asked what I wanted to do...wait for the course or? They brought it over, I had two bites and had to run to the opera. They only covered the main dinner part. Its awkward and lonely enough to dine by yourself but I booked this months ago and was so excited. The service was terrible. But its very pretty inside.
Visited for pre-theatre as its the perfect location for the Royal Opera House - £45 for two courses. Pricey but the service was fantastic and the dining room is beautiful. (If its still on the menu, get the duck!)
Top notch service, outstanding quality of food and unique atmosphere. Recommended for special occasions
Have to say, one of the most stunning interiors - level of detail is incredible. The service is impeccable, second only to the >2 Michelin star restaurants I ve been to. Waiters/resses were attentive, always smiling and nothing was too much. Food menu is limited but the actual food is fantastic.
Good
Brunch at NoMad: Below average food at above average prices. I ordered medium rare steak & eggs, got something closer to medium well. The sourdough bread it came on had a hard crust that made it quite awkward to eat. Fries were an extra £9. When one of us didnt enjoy their £20 avocado toast and left half of it on the plate, nobody cared to ask us what went wrong. I left feeling very disappointed.
Very over priced, for less than average food. The selection for lunch/ brunch menu was poor and disappointing. Order the avocado on toast, probably the worst avocado on toast, puréed avocado with what tasted like olive oil and half the battle was trying to cut the through the bread. Service just seemed to be an opportunity to upsell side dishes. Very uninspiring.
Overpriced! Not a relax atmosphere. While staff are so nice but the keep hovering around you to service and that is very American style,
Excellent Very good Food
This was a very strange experience. Having afternoon tea with loud chill music doesn t go together for me. My idea of having a nice experience was totally the opposite of what I got here. The sandwiches are awful. Only 4 sandwiches with no option to ask for another one. In the egg salad ones the bread is toasted but cold, the pastrami and cucumber ones are open sandwiches so technically not a sandwich. The savoury scone was ok but cold, could have been heated up a little. Terrible start for my afternoon tea. I was suggested a tea I didn t like and when I asked to change it for Earl Grey I was told I would be charged extra for that, how cheap can that be ?? If you want more tea of the one you are having they just pour some hot water into the pot, no fresh tea leaves are given. Obviously the tea is not good because it has already been brewed and it s lost it s strength. It really was terrible and I didn t want to pay extra for another tea. Some days ago I had my afternoon tea at The Rosewood Hotel and it was changed and they even suggested what tea would pair better with either savoury or sweets. When the sweets arrived there were 4 cakes and 2 very small scones with clotted cream and store bought jam (another time, how cheap can that be?). In this case I was offered more scones if I wanted which seemed fair as they were very small and crumbly. One of the cakes was described as a tropical cake with coconut flavour, when asked what is a tropical cake the answer was simple : coconut flavour with some coconut. This has been a terrible experience for me and a total deception. Having a British Afternoon Tea with loud music, bad service, terrible sandwiches, reheated tea and average sweets was not a good experience at all and I wouldn t recommend it to anybody.
The space is beautiful and the main attraction. Building is an old magistrate court office. However the brunch food is just okay - price did not necessarily match for the quality and taste offered. The burger was way too seasoned and savoury. Service was inconsistent but attentive.
Great afternoon tea and superb service
The NoMad restaurant has a beautiful atrium atmosphere - with good food for its price. In particular the scallops recommended by our waitress, Arianna were phenomenal. Nick, another waiter in training was a pleasant conversationalist and good at articulating the dishes to us. The service as mentioned below was attentive earlier on, but completely inconsistent at the end. From randomly receiving the coffee/dessert menu after finishing our starter, to the end waiting about 27 minutes from dessert. I timed it because it was taking so long, and I had to then get out of my seat and ask someone for our bill post dessert. It felt like service disappeared on us. Overall good food, good service, great atmosphere, that makes it justifiable for its cost. I would highly recommend the braised beef cheek, scallops starter, and the earl grey ice cream was a unique, savory experience. My advice would be to clean up service as you get towards close, to allow your customers time to spend more of the night elsewhere to make sure they felt wanted at the end. At the end I even told management my feedback at pacing and slowness and all I heard was pardon ? Again, at that point I just wanted the bill to leave. 3.75/5 rounded up to 4.
The food is terrible. I am writing this review after already having few rounds in the toilet because of the food poisoning from the oysters. From friends of 3, only 2 of us ate those and both of us got sick. The inside of the restaurant is very beautiful however experience after is not worth it. The service was ok, but a bit long time to wait for everything.
Stunning Absolutely gorgeous Food
Great ambiance, Adam our waiter was amazing and the food was good
Amazing ambiance especially during the daytime cause the restaurant area is so bright! Lovely decoration, comfy seating, excellent service and classy vibe. Will definitely come back!
Beautiful Venue +staff were attentive + food was good but not many choices and portions were small
The quality if the produces is the bests. The style of dishes are a variety of fish, vegetarian and meat. I really enjoyed it. Food
Had a visit to The NoMad Restaurant in London, and the setting was undeniably beautiful. Opted for a burger with a friend it was good, though theres room for improvement. We snagged a seat close to the bar, soaking in the luxurious atmosphere that truly makes you feel fancy. Despite the minor critique on the burger, the overall experience was beautiful and quite memorable.
The restaurant is beyond beautiful, as a designer I love the atmosphere and the interior design of this restaurant which located in Nomad Hotel in Covent Garden. The staff are so kind and welcoming, but the food is not my taste.
Superb dishes and exceptional service. Every dish, and every bite has been superb. Burrata was excellent, and I got the beef sirloin (which they ran out of so I got the rib eye - not complaining). The staff have been very polite and attentive. The atmosphere is both grand and cosy at the same time. Theres a huge space above you, yet it also feels fairly intimate. Loved it.
I chose to have breakfast at the 5 star hotel The NoMad located in Covent Garden in London. I entered heaven. The hotel is stunning in its beauty. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was perfect and indulgent. Kind and pleasant service. Highly recommended.
Easy 5 star review. Service amazing. Food outstanding. She the sommelier was next level. Amazing wine list. Such a great London experience. Vegetarian options: Amazing carrot tartare
Went here for my birthday and had a great experience. Loved the food!
Beautiful setting, great service, decent food but very expensive. Overall great experience for a special occasion but I definitely won t be revisiting soon. We paid almost £130 for a quick brunch for 3 people and the food was very average.
I ordered and wait more than 45 mins to get my breakfast.
We went to the restaurant for my friend birthday early March and it was probably the worse experience I ve had at the restaurant. Food quality isn t as good as you d expect and considering the prices I would not pay for this again. Everything we ordered was bland no flavour or taste to it. Imagine eating truffle risotto and tasting nothing. It s unexpected. Portion size is smaller then a tapas style restaurant for a main course. The only good thing about this restaurant is the ambiance and the decorations which is what you paying that heft price for. I hope the chef take some feedback and change the menus or else you will keep getting this negative feedback for food which is not nice for any restaurant. Also one last thing how can you charge £10 per head for a cake on a birthday that s ridiculous. I understand £10 for a table is okay but how you expect someone to pay £40 to present a cake on a birthday celebration. That s not fair. No one ever mention about cake charges on the phone when I called 100 times to check and confirm this table but when I arrive with a cake the receptionist told us it will be £40 for us to present the cake.
Great vibe and good food
Great food and amazing venue however the service was terrible and we were then rushed off the table for the second service. We tried to speak with the maitre d but he was disinterested. Management has now invited us to return following an email setting out our experience so we will update the review once we have had a chance to return.
Excellent service, great tastes !!!
The food was cooked perfectly.
It was OK, as others have said the prices are extremely high, much higher than similar restaurants. The ambience is nice and the service very good, lovely staff. , I wouldn t go back though due to the cost (£350 for two people for cocktails, wine and a 2 course meal)
The price-quality ratio was way off. The mackerel still had bones in it and the tagliatelle was nothing special but main issue lay with the £40 scallops which I was promised were really big but were in fact small. The potato rosti was amazing. The cocktails were tiny, average and expensive. There was also very few vegan options. I wouldn t come back.
Such a disappointment. We stayed for one night in the Nomad . The room and breakfast was lovely so thought we would have Sunday lunch in the restaurant. Probably the worst roast dinner I have ever eaten. The beef was oily and had a fat ring around it , the potatoes and veg were covered in salt and oil . I bit into the Yorkshire pudding and fat squirted out. Just the most disappointing meal I ve been for in a long time. I told the waiter and he didn t seem to care ! Avoid the roast dinner !
Amazing ambience and great service but unfortunately the food was just ok, nothing to rave about.
Went for a Sunday Roast and it was alright. The beef roast I got was a very thick slice, more akin to a steak but it was very fatty, like 40% of the slice itself was fat, which in my opinion, was not very nice. The cured salmon starter I had was quite good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The coffee at the end was good, but again, nothing amazing about it. I think the attraction to the place is the interior decoration, and staff were very nice and friendly. However, I do not think the price commensurate the food. I dont know if I will purposefully find myself back here anytime soon, if I am honest.
The food was sooooooo salty! And the waitess told my friend to move her stuff. Nice atmosphere but SALTY FOOD + BAD SERVICE. £42 for a salty dish!? Thank you but no next time!
Amazing service - my wife found the white asparagus too salty, to the point of inedible. We said to the waitress and she got another one for us - we had the same issue but at this point it s clearly us rather than the dish. My wife barely touched it, the waitress noticed and took it off the bill.
Avocado toast 8/10 Egg Benedict 8/10 Pain au chocolat 10/10 Food : 5/5
I cannot recommend the restaurant and the staff more highly ., in particular the sommelier, Jerri and our server ,Voy who were both utterly charming and could not have been more helpful . As we live in Asia we expect good service but at this restaurant the service is exceptional. Thank you so much for making our night so wonderful !The food was also delicious . We cannot speak more highly of our experience at Nomad and strongly encourage everyone to try it You won t regret it !
Very disappointing experience. The service was atrocious for a place that charges hefty prices. We had to remind the staff several times about our orders and the bill. The food was unexciting, the side dishes tastier than the mains. I paid less in Michelin starred Restaurants. Highly not recommended!
Nice decoration and atmosphere. However, the food menu is so limited and I will never come back to have dinner there. I might considering to coma to take coffee to enjoy the atmosphere Food
I booked this place to do my engagement. Francesca was very helpful in planning the details and went above and beyond. The food was very tasty and I thoroughly enjoy. As did my fiancé. The decor was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definately visit again. Especially great for a place to go for go for an occasion
Very much overpriced. Poor atmosphere. Doesn t feel special at all. Very average food. Tacky/cheap feel. Plastic plants everywhere. Staff aloof. You get the idea.
Insanely overpriced for below average food. Tiny portions I paid $26 GBP for about 9 pieces of under cooked penne pasta. We were in there for 30 minutes they had us in and out. Avoid.
This was poor. Went for pre theatre menu, choice of three starters and three mains for £45 per head. 2 vegetarian options and one meat option per course for that. Ended up with a below average, stringy, dry burrata to start (was that £15 of the £45?) and a borderline inedible, salty as hell cheese rigotoni main (£30!?). Dining partner had better luck with tempura courgette. Side of potato salad was the best thing on the table. Service (14.5% on top!) was attentive although restaurant was basically empty at 6pm on a Tuesday. Not surprising. So many options around here, you can definitely do better.
I celebrated a birthday meal here with a group of 7 friends, my second visit to the restaurant. The initial visit was impressionable enough so much so that I chose to return with guests, and on my return visit, had my expectations exceed. We were slightly early for our reservation and as such we were offered to visit one of their private bars for drinks. After being escorted to our table once ready, the service was excellent and the food exceptional. I was personally disappointed that the menu had changed between December 2022 and May 2023, however, our waiter, who was extremely knowledgeable, recommended some alternatives that did not disappoint any of our varied pallets. I love food with strong flavours that surprise you with regard to their pairings, but still manage to complement each other. Nomad consistently ticked all my boxes from start to finish (across both visits) and exceeded my expectations. A highly recommended experience - I will most certainly return.
This is the sort of place for a lunchtime catch up with an old girl friend or daughter. The food is light in quantity and healthy as well as artistically presented. The days two course menu was fine for us. The staff were super friendly and attentive and it is a lovely healthy, clean, planty sort of place. Price was £107 for the two of us (starter and main each , expresso, tap water - including 14.5% service so quite expensive but it feels quite exclusive and private). I wouldnt have taken my husband here as he would of complained about portion size and lack of meat!
Booked dinner for our 20th anniversary as seen in Traveller magazines most romantic restaurants and it exceeded expectations. Moody interior upon arrival and a gentleman greeted me, and gave me directions. The view over the atrium from the balcony is stunning. We had a delicious cocktail in the library before dinner and the staff were so helpful and professional. Our Meal was delicious in such an atmospheric space. Service was professional and friendly, Natalie was lovely and chased us down to refund the crudities that werent meant to be charged. We were also given some chocolates to take home as a gift. We felt really looked after and will be returning. Thankyou for a special evening.
Highly recommended, freshly large positions all staffs so polite and good service
Monica is one of the best servers I ve ever had. She treated my father and I incredibly well and provided great service. We came back a second time weeks later and she even remembered our drinks! This is a great place to have dinner and the service is top notch. Great atmosphere as well.
Very classy
Service was extremely slow. Our beef was so raw, we had to send ir back and they brought it 30 minutes later overly cooked.
#AESTHETIC LUNCH Covent Garden, London 4/5 £££ Dining under soaring glass ceilings while enjoying a delicious lunch? Yep... Ive been eager to try the @thenomadhotel restaurant, and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth the wait! Apart from their beautiful dining hall, the dishes couldnt be more aesthetically pleasing and exquisite. Heres a tip: try the WEEKDAY SET LUNCH! The restaurant now offers a 2-course set menu option that is more affordable (£37) and incredibly delicious. My friends ordered the Carrot tartare with sprouts and quails egg as the first course, and the famous #Nomad chicken burger with gruyere and black #truffle I opted for the Salmon, house-cured with smoked sour cream and sea vegetable tempura, and the Celeriac Miso-marinated with potato and truffle... both were also delicious!
An old police station, a hotel and a restaurant with lovely staff. What sounds like the beginning of a novel was my evening in the restaurant of the NoMad hotel. The hotel was opened in 2021, directly in Covent Gardens bow street and a building which has the history of an old police station. Thats a nice history and in consequence a nice interior. But I was more interested in the food. In the end, I had to realize that the NoMad restaurant is more than the food. It is astonishingly beautiful and the benches are so comfortable, you instinctly think about the amount of alcohol you should not exceed if you want to leave the cushions at some point in the future. But the venue has several bars and it shows. The bar menu is extensive but not overwhelming. And theres always a drink you want to try because of its interesting ingredients. And they are delicious, I can tell you that. The food menu also gives various delicious options. I was a little bit disappointed, as I was most interested in the chicken stuffed with foie gras which is a two person dish. Never heard of such a combination, although some people like to strangle me for wanting to try that. And now it is time to shout out to the staff: you are heroes! From the beginning to the very end, I really felt like they are really happy to see me. Always there but never too ambitious and never arrogant. Just a nice experience of sincere hospitality. Excellent! And they even made it possible for me to have half a chicken. Which was simply extraordinary and delicious. Including the salad it was placed upon. Even the bread, which was served to start my appetite, was perfectly made. Slightly warm, fluffy on the inside with a perfect crust. And the dough smelled of herbs, not of yeast or other backing agents. Again: excellent! And I cannot even complain about the prices. Right, it is cheaper to go to a pub and eat there. But thats not a fair comparison and there is the right time for either of these options. For me, my evening was worth every penny. And this restaurant is most definitely a hot tip for a romantic evening. Well done indeed NoMad!
Beautiful space, the library is enchanting with its little rooms, but the staff had no clue about anything on the menu, couldn t even tell us how the burger was cooked or recommend a wine. The burger ended up being very good, but the wine was terrible, we had to taste three different red ones before finding something we could even drink. Such a shame for this wonderful location, please do train your staff and elevate the quality of your wine!
Went for breakfast. 100% would go back for breakfast. Get a pain Au chocolate. Don t think about it.
Lovely spot. They have cafe on ground floor and Restaurant in LG. Very elegant, lovely and friendly staff. Extremely NEAT FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, atmosphere was relaxing and nice to enjoy a conversation with friends, family or companion Strongly recommended
Very nice! Amazing place, great service, and the food is simple yet delicious.
Excellent meal and the servers are very attentive.
Great experience at the NoMad. Food was excellent and the service was really friendly. Lunch menue prices are accesible. Would definitely recommend!
Except for the location, which is truly wonderful, and the service, as far as food and value for money are concerned I have to say that we are not there. Very heavy and greasy cuisine, little choice and prices too high, good wine list but consider that to drink a decent bottle of wine you will have to shell out at least 70 pounds. The service was good and the sommelier was also very kind and professional helping us in choosing the wine. Overall I would say I wouldnt go back, I would probably choose to just go and have a cocktail at their bar.
Went for the Sunday roast and the food was beautiful. I also recommend ordering the Bloody Mary and asking for their own spicy sauce - it 100% hits the spot.
