With novel and familiar flavours, an inspired design, and sincere, warm service for a sophisticated and contemporary dining experience, House of Ming is set to offer diners in London an unforgettable experience inspired by Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine.
This has been one of my best restaurant experiences in London, after visiting yearly. Food was absolutely brilliant, definitely recommend the dim sum option. However, the portion sizes are not huge, just enough to feel satisfied. The service was absolutely fenomenal and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
Sub-standard Chinese food and experience. Considering I spent £350 for 3 people, I thought it would be wise for people to be aware what they are paying for. We ordered the most expensive dishes (Chefs Signatures) Wagyu Beef, Fried Lamb, Glazed Pork. All were salty and oily. The Roast Duck was the only nice dish. Chicken noodle and rice were disappointing and bland. Service was a mess. They forgot to take my coat, I had to ask them. They provided 2 menus for 3 people. One of their toilets did not flush properly (The left one if you care to know). At the end there was no one at the door to provide my coat, I had to interrupt two waiters whilst they where talking to each other. Sad to say the decor and environment were no better, stale with no charm. If the restaurant wasn't so overly priced and classed as fine dinning then I would be more tolerant but when it's so expensive you expect the best. Do not waste your money here, Mr. Ming is sleeping on the job!
Lovely evening with the family enjoying a Christmas family outing and dinner at House of ming. It suited the variety of taste buds for my family to vegetarian and some poultry dishes. We had a separate area as we had children with us and gave hen space to play around and not disturb other guests. Dexter our waiter was helpful with menu choices, attentive and went an extra mile for us with helping serve the children food quickly as they were hungry. I would recommend this place to enjoy a variety of Chinese food in London
Visited this gem in london. Is exactly what you expect from a Taj restaurant - excellent service, lovely ambiance and delicious food. Has a large section of vegetarian options. Dimsums are really good.
I had made a reservation to celebrate a friend’s birthday because I had heard great reviews about this restaurant. Upon arriving at the restaurant the staff were very friendly and polite and the restaurant looked very beautiful. The food and drinks menu had great selection. When the food arrived it wasn’t presented that well plus the food tasted and looked average, I had ordered a portion of crispy chilli potato and when I saw i was out of words, it was just chips covered with hot and sweet sauce which was for £16. Highly disappointed with the quality of the food.
A Culinary Journey Through Time: House of Ming at Taj 51 Step into House of Ming at Taj 51 Residence & Suites, and you're transported not just to a world of exquisite Chinese cuisine, but also to a bygone era. The impeccable staff, from the moment you're greeted to the moment you depart, exemplifies warm hospitality. Their friendly demeanour and attentiveness enhance the entire dining experience. The restaurant itself is a visual feast. The opulent decor evokes the Anglo-Chino period, with intricate details that seamlessly blend Eastern and Western influences. This immersive atmosphere sets the stage for a truly unique culinary journey. Now, onto the stars of the show - the dishes themselves! Lotus Stem Honey Chilli: This vegetarian starter is a revelation. The lotus stem, perfectly crisp, is tossed in a sweet and spicy honey chilli sauce that tantalizes the taste buds. It's a delightful explosion of textures and flavours, a must-try for anyone seeking a unique appetizer. Wok Fried Sichuan Lobster: For seafood lovers, the Wok Fried Sichuan Lobster is lovely, but the price is very dear. So, a word of warning. The succulent lobster is cooked to perfection, retaining its delicate sweetness. However, the true star is the Sichuan sauce - a symphony of heat and spice that awakens your senses without overpowering the lobster's natural flavour. Citrus Dessert: No meal is complete without a satisfying dessert, and House of Ming doesn't disappoint. The Citrus Dessert is a refreshing and light way to end your culinary adventure. The bright citrus flavours; Yuzu cleanse the palate perfectly, leaving you with a lingering sense of satisfaction. House of Ming is a decent, high-end hotel restaurant; it's an experience. From the impeccable service to the stunning decor and, of course, the food, it offers a delightful escape into a world of culinary artistry. If you're looking for a truly memorable evening, look no further than House of Ming.
Went there with my husband for his birthday. We had a 10 out of 10 experience. We were greeted with friendly waiters. Loved the decor and ambience. Food was amazing we enjoyed everything we ordered. This place is worth coming back for. Our waiter Dexter was very lovely.
We dined at this restaurant for a special occasion. They didn't have a table for 8pm online so I emailed them, they came back and provided a table for the desired time. Which was fabulous. Food was very tasty, drinks (temperature and taste) was amazing. Service was great, table size was a bit small but the waiter did serve us which was nice (some not like this) but we thought it was a nice touch. Over all if highly recommended this place and I will definitely be going back. They are new so give them a chance to grow and iron out any imperfections.. Lovely place.
Amazing food and great waiters. Dexter took care of us and was the nicest. The slots wäre a little too short though. Would be nice to have more time Anyway- we will come again Food : 5/5
Food is pretty good but the portions are soooo small.
Had lunch today at this place. Totally loved and enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious and the service was exemplary. Special kudos to Dexter and his service great suggestions and every dish suggested was superb. His service is one of reasons we will definitely come back for more. Also Xenyig was great and very sweet. Thanks guys.
Decent place but the food is just alright - nothing special. Service was great and atmosphere was nice and quiet. Food
Came here for my mums birthday and had a fantastic evening. The food was amazing and desserts imaginative, the service was excellent and all the team went above and beyond esp. our main server Dexter. My mum was made to feel very special. Would definitely recommend.
Overpriced for what you get, definately not 5 star, 3 at best. Ive had far better and paid less. Spring Rolls were tiny and hardly any filling. Their table sauces added the flavour which made me finish the main meal. Egg fried rice and Hakka Noodles were glistening with oil. The sauce with the Tofu was a strange gooey consistency. Even the free dessert was poor. We just couldnt fault the impeccable service, but I heard two other tables complain during our time their, about the food. Such a shame. I had high expectations after it was recommended, but the food let it down. I was also cold the entire time sat right opposite the entrance. Decor was luxurious and cosy.
The food was awful. After being a loyal customer of the Taj,we were appalled by the food. The quality of ingredients along with the taste was awful. Vegetarian options: We did not have a pleasant experience at all.Would not really recommend this restaurant to anyone
Wonderful meal experiencing some delicious Chinese cuisine. Shah was an amazing waiter and made our evening very special
A wonderful experience for the family on a special occasion
Great vegetarian and very attentive service. Beautiful decor as well
Amazing food. Highly recommend
Vegetarian options: House of Ming stands out for its superb selection of vegetarian dishes, each bursting with exquisite flavors. The service is impeccable, enhancing the overall dining experience. I enjoyed the best Chinese meal Ive had in a long time, with every dish being exceptionally delicious and memorable. Food
Amazing food and great service. Lot of veggie options.
OMG!!! Wow! Must try this best food and the service top notch by far!! We tried so many dishes, each one fabulous delicious!! Spring rolls, Crispy lamb, Sweet-and-sour pork, Fried prawns, Egg fried rice and garlic jasmine rice,, kung pow chicken!!! Lots of dipping sauces, which we enjoyed experimenting the flavors.. restaurant was decor representative of the mood I was thoroughly pampered as was my husband too. I was skeptic until I came here, trying some dishes. Even my cocktail delicious Paloma martini.. Just had one next-door the hotel, but nothing compares to this wonderful flavor with a floating pansy flower on top as a Delicate touch. If I did not live in the states, I would be here on a regular basis..
Service is underwhelming, initial drinks came stale, replacements were given after request, second round of drinks was forgotten and than whole th EU promised them to be complimentary - they are ere charged anyway. Food was good.
We were really looking forward to our dinner. We had planned to go for the imperial menu. Unfortunately, we couldnt We didnt order this because you get this menu a week in advance Order. It was said on the website. I couldnt do it Find. We were in a kind of lobby of the restaurant Posted. Very unpleasant. Many things also went wrong with the operation. For example, we received the main course on the dirty plate of the dessert. Fortunately the food was fine. Overall a disappointing experience.
I would highly recommend the Executive Lunch. It includes delicious dishes such as prawn dumplings, chilli oyster fish and vegetable noodles. Everything about this restaurant is elegant - the crockery, the decor, the attention to detail and presentation of the dishes. Perfect service from our waiters, Dexter and Palpasha, who were so helpful and welcoming. This truly is a hidden gem in Victoria!
Exelent food and service
I really enjoyed dining at this restaurant with my friend , the food , service from staff and ambience was perfect to have a relaxing lunch . The menu had a lot of option
Went for lunch at House of Ming - absolutely amazing hospitality. Samrit asst F&B was very welcoming. All the staff Dexter, Ivonio, Palpasha and Jibin made sure that we had a great time. The food was great and the hospitality even better . Loved the experience being here . A big thank you to Urmi. Will be back soon.
A special place in central London! A bit like stepping back in time. Dexter our server was very attentive and professional, and the food was delicious. We are looking forward to returning.
Oh the full course meal was absolutely awesome, and the staff was incredibly attentive, kind, and funny. Happily recommend. Dexter, or dedicated server, was quite charming and helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, with tasty dishes like Hot and Sour Soup, Lemon Coriander Soup, and the delicious Peking Duck. The atmosphere was great, and the waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. I must say that House of Ming is probably the best Chinese restaurant Ive ever been to
Wonderful lunch on Saturday. Warm hospitality even though we were close to last order. Great food. Palpasha was a wonderful waitress and helped us with our choices. Thank you to all.
After a lot of research we decided to visit the House of Ming for a special occasion. We received a warm welcome and good service. We opted for the taster menu. The appetisers and starters were very nice. Fresh hot and full of flavour. However when the mains arrived there were cold, the meat was tough and the flavours were lacking. We were so disappointed as the start of the menu was very promising. We reported this to the staff with the chef offering to cook us another main but by this point we were ready for desert at nearly 2.5 hours into the meal. Whilst there was an offer to replace a main meal we were surprised to receive the full bill when the mains and side were all returned. hope this was just a blip. Would we return, I suspect not.
The food was great and our server was courteous. We didnt arrive until 8 p.m. and the service was great. Recommended!
Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff.. and fantastic food. Good portion size. We didnt have a reservation and they worked us in with a time limit, which was absolutely fine, it worked well!
It was absolutly delicious! Definitely recommend
From the movement we walked in the service was exceptional, the food was the best we have eaten whilst in london. Dexter our server was very attentive and provided great meal suggestions. The small table for 2 in a private booth was an extra special touch adding to the ambience the evening. We will most definitely be back when in town again. Thank you team 5* all the way.
What wonderful food and such great service. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Very nice atmosphere and delicious food! Our server Ivonio was attentive and extremely professional.
A fantastic place if you like Chinese food. Elegant, very good food and good service. 100% recommended. We will repeat.
Such a beautiful restaurant! Went for my 1 year anniversary and had such an amazing experience. Shubham was an excellent host. The food was delicious- so many vegetarian options for my partner. The mushroom, cheese and truffle oil dimsum was so moreish!
It is within the Taj London hotel, entrance is from street level, food is out of the world!! Vegetarian options: There is a veggie set menu - GBP 65 per person, you won t be able to finish the lovely food , it is generous for one person.
Very underwhelming. Went for a birthday celebration that I told the restaurant about when I called. It s the first restaurant in my life that didn t give a dessert with happy birthday written next to it! Was one candle too much effort to put? Food was nothing special. After reading the reviews I expected something very tasty /impressive. Our order didnt fit on the table so they put in somewhere behind in the corridor so when we wanted more food, we either had to stand up or ask someone to bring it to us. Obviously it got very cold. Also, it took so much time for the waitress to put our food on our plates, every 10 min our conversation was interrupted. And there s no need to ask if we like the food every 5 min by multiple people. It should be on person and not constantly. Sitting was horrible. Felt like in a market where people walk behind and next to you all the time. Door kept on opening and closing adding noise and wind. Half of restaurant was empty but we were not allowed to sit there. Have been in many restaurants in london but this one has been a great disappointment
Absolutely brilliant. Food is delicious. Staff are very nice. Dexter made sure we are well taken care of. Ambience is great. Highly recommend.
Excellent. Higly recommend the date pancakes and fried Lotus. Food
This feedback is overdue. We went to House of Ming to celebrate a special birthday. We made a booking and decided to drive to the restaurant during what is essentially rush hour - bad idea. We called ahead to move the booking and they were able to accommodate us in another area which had no time limit. The service was excellent and all the staff members we encountered were friendly. They came by frequently to check and see how we found everything. The food was delicious and we found the mains to be large portions enough to be shared among 3-4 of us. We ordered another portion of crispy chicken as it was so delicious. The lobster and both styles of the pork were 10/10. In regards to the drinks we found them to be very strong for our tastes. Overall loved the experience at House of Ming s and we are already planning our next visit.
Some of the best dimsums in London. Excellent food! Vegetarian options: Great selection of vegetarian options. I tried both the vegetarian and the non-veg set lunch and honestly the veg menu tasted better Food : 5/5 |
Probably, the best (or one of the best Chinese food Ive had in London). Enjoyed the dim sum so much we had to order seconds. My friends and I were not an easy bunch but the staff were super patient and helpful.
Overall, everything is good, but I dont know why there is a strange smell.
As a vegetarian there were great options so I didn t feel left out considering all the friends I dined with were meat eaters. The service was excellent; staff patient, knowledgeable and personable. I drank a lychee martini which was average. However, I highly recommend the sleepy rabbit mocktail . The food was fresh, and flavoursome although they played it on the safe side with some of the flavours. That said, the sauces filled any gaps with flavour. I enjoyed the mushroom dim sum but they could have added more garlic. My friends adored the salt and pepper chicken and lobsters! I had the orange sorbet for desert which was superb. Overall and excellent experience and I ve given 4* due to my requirement for more flavour for the dishes I had.
Had amazing Asian food at this restaurant. We had panfried chicken dumplings, veg Hakka noodles, crispy honey chilli lotus stem and sweet corn soup. Everything from the food to the ambience and the service was excellent. Prasad who served our table was very warm and graceful. Overall the experience was worth every penny :)
Just go to panda express.
Loved House of Ming a lot - we came for a family get together and ate to our heart s content! The service was quick and excellent. Dexter was super kind attentive and warm! Well definitely be back again soon :) P.S got to try the dim sums and chilly chicken! Food
Had a gourmet s delight dinner. So beautiful and ethereal that it was much more than I had fathomed. The staff who took care of us Mr Dexter was exemplary. Awesome evening. Keep up the good work. Will surely recommend this amazing place to anyone who wants to celebrate food and experience the Journey of committed hospitality
Delicious
The Spicy Lamb was great. Great service and atmosphere! Wanted a quick dinner and walked in not looking for anything special. So the good experience was a delight!
The restaurants decor is impressive, genuinely immersing you in a Chinese ambiance. While the food is of good quality, the portions are surprisingly small, even when labeled as large on the menu. The service is excellent, but it can be slightly bothersome when staff interruptions occur every 5 minutes to inquire about our satisfaction or additional needs. Regarding the price, Im uncertain if spending around £100 per person for a moderately sized dinner is justified.
I have nothing but excellent things to say about this restaurant. I can easily say that this is the best Chinese food I have had in London. We started off with the Dim sums, where we ordered the: Scallop Golden Garlic, Duck Bao, Chicken Gyoza, and Prawn chao show. All were delicious, especially the duck bao, which I had to repeat order. For the mains, we ordered the Egg fried rice, Singaporean Noodles, Chicken Salt & Pepper, Sichuan Eggplant, Hot & Sour Soup, and BBQ Lamb Cumin & Chili. To finish, we had the chocolate Melting Pot & Asian Signature date pancakes. Both of these melt in your mouth and are to die for! Although this was a lot for 3 people, but we managed to finish just because the food was so excellent! The ambience was fantastic for a celebratory dinner! Im so thankful to Kapil & his service team for their outstanding service! Vegetarian options: Several delicious options available. Dietary restrictions: They are accomodating for various restrictions; you just have to specify them. Kid-friendliness: There were families with children at the restaurant and I have no doubt that the service staff looked after them well. Wheelchair accessibility: Not difficult to enter & Im sure the staff would be more than willing to help.
The restaurant is recently opened and still finding it feet. The decorations are nice. Food is ok but not spectacular. Tables are way too small. Staff are nice and friendly. Wish they didn t try to load up the food on our plates and let us serve ourselves.
Great new restaurant with combination of classical dishes and modern fusion options. Lovely setting.
Stellar experience! The food, the atmosphere and the staff are all 10/10. Cannot say more . You must order the kungpao chicken, pan fried noodles, and the mapo tofu. Do not miss the amazing range of sorbet s and ice cream- my favourite was the rhubarb and rose ice cream. Dietary restrictions: Plenty for all. Kid-friendliness: Not child friendly. Quiet space Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
The food was very average and priced stupidly. They just seem to throw the same prices at any dish and considering the quality of the Chinese food is very average, none of it is justified. Beautiful interior for Instagram but the offering itself needs serious work
Fantastic Chinese food, great Peking duck, Singapore noodles , the date pancake , shui mai dim sum & mapo tofu all are great. I have been to the sister restaurant in New Delhi. Iv been to rhe this restaurant a few times and it s always a great spot. Last order is around 10 pm so that s also fantastic. 5 star Chinese
We got the food fast and it was really well prepared
Went for a Couples night out and absolutely loved all the dishes that my sisters ordered. Highly recommend to go and would go again too.
House of Ming is a culinary haven that whisked us away on a mesmerizing gastronomic journey, leaving us enchanted and craving for more. The moment we stepped into its opulent ambience, we knew we were in for a treat of epic proportions. Our taste adventure commenced with an array of starters that exploded with flavour. The Spicy Soft Shell Crab was a revelation of textures, its crispy exterior embracing succulent crab meat, all enlivened by a tantalizing blend of golden garlic, chilli, and scallions. The Scallop Golden Garlic Dim Sum, a masterpiece of culinary artistry, showcased plump scallops and prawns wrapped in a luscious duvet of fried garlic and Chiniang caviar, creating an explosion of tastes in every mouthful. Tai Chin Kai, a daring concoction of diced chicken bathed in a fiery fusion of garlic and chilli oyster sauce, sent our taste buds on a rollercoaster of delight. The Ginger Coriander Chicken Bun, a delicate treasure of flavours, united fluffy buns with tender chicken, elevating simplicity to sophistication. The mains continued to awe us with their delectable allure. The Peking Duck served in a half portion, was a sight to behold as it arrived, its crispy skin glistening like a golden treasure. With each succulent slice, we were transported to culinary nirvana, savouring the tender duck meat wrapped in thin pancakes, accompanied by an orchestra of flavours from the tangy plum sauce. The Wok Fried Spicy Sliced Lamb seized our palates with its explosive blend of spices, infusing the succulent lamb with an addictive fiery kick. Paired with the Egg Fried Rice, each forkful was a harmonious symphony of taste and texture that left us spellbound. For the sweet finale, the Melting Pot was a decadent masterpiece of chocolate mousse and passion fruit creameux, a perfect union of richness and tanginess that delighted our senses. The Mango Sago Pomelo, with its tropical allure of Alphonso mango syrup and sago pearls, offered a refreshing and blissful conclusion to the meal. The tea selection was nothing short of remarkable, and the Jasmine Pearl, with its delicate fragrance and soothing qualities, emerged as the unrivalled favourite among the choices. Siddhesh and the rest of the staff at House of Ming orchestrated flawless service, ensuring our dining experience was one of pure indulgence. Attentive and warm, they made us feel like honoured guests, adding an extra layer of delight to the evening. In conclusion, the House of Ming is a haven for those seeking an extraordinary dining escapade. With its diverse and exquisite dishes, impeccable service, and opulent setting, it is the perfect destination for a romantic date night or a convivial gathering with friends. Our taste buds were left enchanted, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit to this culinary paradise.
Amazing food and atmosphere. The chef has real passion in his cooking and it shows. Worth a visit in the heart of London.
I had an amazing experience at House of Ming. The staff were incredibly nice, and had great recommendations. My absolute favourite were the year of the rabbit mocktail, the mushroom, cheese, truffle oil dim sum. The lotus stem honey chili is a must have as a starter! To finish the meal brilliantly I recommend the Asian signature for desert. Thanks to our waitress Zetty to make this dinning experience amazing Vegetarian options: They have so many vegan and vegetarian option, and everything is clearly labelled. I loved everything I tried
Thoroughly enjoyed the food here, large variety and was substantial for the group of us. Service was very good, we were treated well. This felt like a smaller restaurant than expected. I could imagine the table becoming cramped with a larger group, though staff accommodated us well. Desserts are incredible here.
Excellent food - House of Ming has long served the best Chinese food in Delhi, and now it s making its mark in London. The service was outstanding as well - Simonas and the team went above and beyond to cater to the needs of a large group. Incredibly grateful to the team - and can t wait to dine here again soon. Vegetarian options: Extensive range of vegetarian and vegan options.
For us was an enjoyable dining experience! Thank you.
Parking: No more words ........ simple superb Food
We celebrated our 10th anniversary at House of Ming. From the moment we arrived, to being served at the table and leaving the restaurant, everything was impeccable. A big thank you to William and Zetty who looked after us so well and made us feel so special on our big day. One of the best fine dining Chinese restaurants London has to offer. 100% recommended.
House of Ming is delightful. The food is amazing. The staff is attentive and the atmosphere is exquisite. Vegetarian options: Many to choose from. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly
We had a great meal. We enjoyed the non vegetarian fixed menu served by Ivonio. Every element of the meal was delicious Food : 5/5
lovely place with beautiful ambience and really good food, highly recommend a visit
This is a far cry from real Chinese food. Having lived in Hong Kong and Singapore for many years this is a spit on the face to Cantonese, Sichuan and Chinese cuisine in general. Hope this Indian Chinese place is sorted out. The New Delhi House of Mimg won t work in London.
Brilliant food. Excellent service from the lovely Mavis. Serving a nice mix of foods from different regions of China and the Chinese diaspora, all executed in a brilliant manner. A good fresh combination of classics I had before very well done, and some dishes new to me that were equally delicious.
Kapil the manager, has set a tone of absolute perfection. The waiting staff are knowledgeable about the food and happy to help whenever they just see you requiring help. The food is a culinary journey through time with modern twists. Certainly my favourite restaurant for Indo/ Chinese food. The ambience, design and eye for detail makes this place a treasure trove in the hustle and bustle of central London. Front of house (Karan) greats you with a pleasant smile and very accommodating to all needs. A must go for the casual lunch or dinner with friends and family.
Really great atmosphere, tasty good, quick and generous service - overall was excellent and had a great time
Brought back a taste of true authentic indo- Chinese. The tasting menu is well curated with dishes that complement each other and showcase the best of the menu as well as the chefs skill! Delicious, creative, incredible! Very hospitable team that served with a smile throughout the evening. We were told that they dont usually pack the food for takeaway so be sure to order accordingly. Vegetarian options: Amazing and plenty
Overpriced for the quality of food to our own opinion. Services was really nice.
We went to this place only because Tripadvisors high score. but to be honest, the overall experience is not so good. Firstly, the taste of food is not Chinese at all and our prawn is so salty. Secondly, the price is not value for money. the last is they took ages to send us our food. we ordered 8 small dishes and it spent them at least 1.5 hours to send them to our table.
This is not Chinese food. Nothing authentic about the flavours or dishes, and wait till you see the prices. Don t waste your time. The only good thing about this place was the service which I cannot fault at all.
Popular restaurant at the Taj in London. Full of Indians only , I guess for the info- Chinese experience. Food was good , thought I feel it s much better in India. It wasn t piping hot like I would have liked. The hot and sour soup was just like the one from home ( India ). Vegetarian options: Eggplant , soups , mixed vegetables etc. lots of options for sure.
Was really impressed by the food and the service. The ambience and the lighting was amazing. We went for the set menu. The menu was very well designed and planned well to cover a large range of flavours. Went here a couple of times and will come back again. Highly recommend it for its Indo Chinese food.
Incredible service, yummy dumplings and peking duck. Atmosphere felt flat for a Friday night..
In addition to lovely hospitality there is Fantastic ambience and delicious food which makes this place comfortable and luxurious. A special mention for mr Karan who made sure the order is well noted and vegetarians are given due care. Delicious fried rice.
The restaurant is beautiful and every member of the staff is wonderful. Sadly, the food was quite a disappointment. Their desserts are great (I truly recommend the citrus ) but that s about it. The starters were bland at best and the noodles were dry. We had to ask for extra sauces to make our own noodle seasoning at the table. We spent over £100 at this restaurant just to end up grabbing a bite somewhere else because we were honestly underwhelmed and still hungry. There are far better options for a fraction of the price.
If you re looking for Chinese or authentic Indian Chinese, House of Ming at the Taj may not suit. Service was good, the decor is decidedly Oriental and on the opulent side. Food was average
A highly recommended place
Frankly speaking, this is NOT a place for foodies. This is a ££££ place to have a chat or sit down for business people or politicians who want a quiet and discreet corner in central London while having polite service and pricey nibbles. In terms of quality of food, compare to proper high end HK style dim sum places in London, the quality of dim sum or Pekin Duck or any other dish here get a 6/10 from me. Its ok but nothing wowy. The location, décor, service and ambiance are good. I guess thats why people pay what they pay.
