Located just off Regent Street, the iconic Bob Bob Ricard serves classic British & French menu in London’s most glamorous all-booth restaurant. Equipped with a “Press for Champagne” button at every table, it is famous for pouring more champagne than any other restaurant in Britain.
We had a great holiday dinner at Bob Bob Ricard as I’m a sucker whenever beef Wellington is on a menu. Very friendly greeting and loved the all booth dining room. Waiter helped us narrow down our wine choice and the food was outstanding. We had the caviar and tuna tartare followed by beef Wellington and mashed potatoes. Very fun evening.
Wellington in the states is better, straight up. You know it bad when the sides outshine the main food. Meat was just not seasoned at all! Only thing good was the caviar and wine. You can skip this place
Wonderful lunch at Bob Bob Ricard. Excellent friendly service. Really good choice on the menu with vegan/vegetarian options of dishes that aren’t necessarily listed as Vegan. Lots of virgin versions of cocktails which is lovely. Had a very foamy peach and strawberry Bellini.
I visited Bob Bob Ricard to celebrate a friend's birthday and we enjoyed everything we ordered. If your a truffle lover, the fries and mash are a must try! The chicken kyiv was so delicious, crispy on the outside and so succulent on the inside 😍 However, some dishes did lack seasoning. The interior of this restaurant is absolutely gorgeous ✨The all-booth setting creates an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere. We did notice that the service was slow at times and it took a while for our food to arrive. Despite this, the unique 'Press for Champagne' button adds a fun element, making it a memorable spot for special occasions.
We celebrated my birthday here, and it was an amazing and unforgettable night. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff took exceptional care of us throughout the evening. The ambiance was stunning, making the experience even more special. We can’t wait to come back soon!
Heard this restaurant had the best Beef Wellington in town so we had to try it. Made a reservation months in advance for a bar counter top because we dined in on a Saturday night. It was quite busy and someone on the bar counter top wanted to switch to a table but it was fully reserved. We started off with some drinks a glass of wine and coca cola. Right away we ordered the Beef Wellington because we knew it was going to take 40+ minutes. The presentation of it was amazing. A beautiful golden lattice pastry. The server was nice enough to let us take a photo of it before cutting it into 2 pieces and leaving the ends on an extra plate. The best part was the sauce or gravy that it came with. It really enhanced the flavor and made the dish richer. Beef Tenderloin was cooked to perfection and all the flavors meshed well together. Very great meal and money well spent. The bartender servers were great as well, friendly people.
Try once..concept is cool for sure. Caviar was good, the champagne and truffle pie too plain. Fish excellent. Fancy place and nice booths. Go to impress someone and have privacy of chat in the booth table as service is exceptional. Clearly some VIPs in there and don't be shy to press the champagne button! I would definitely go again but perhaps more for canapés, caviar and starters with drinks rather than a dinner. Do dress nicely!!!
The place is stunning. Sparkling clean, is very organised and food came in time. The food is well presented. Despite not booking my dinner at the bar I had the lovely surprise because I made a new friend there. They have a nice menu with a great variety of options. The staff is very polite but could be better trained, you just need to satisfy your client. If the glass is not appropriate just swap to another one and not discuss in front of your client. Small details that could improve. I hope next time I can make clear through their website I want a normal table.
Lovely restaurant in a great location. The food didnt stand up to the standard of the decor, the menu was very simple and a bit unimaginative. Service was average but we enjoyed ourselves. Would return
Consistent great food, service was prompt and well done. Its always a fantastic night at BBR
Very cook spot for a fancy meal. Beautiful decor and quite delicious food. Service is impeccable!
Lovely food but waited 30 past our booking time for our table without even an apology. 20 mins after our booking we were taken to the bar to order a drink but werent served in the 10 mins we sat there waiting.
Wonderfully fun and extravagant. Had a lovely anniversary. Thanks to the staff there too. Enjoyed the chilled vodka too cheers!
Very strong tasting and badly shaped oysters, two chives given with 30g of caviar, bad wine pairing suggestions, over all a tourist trap known for their champagne button in 2014, haven t developed since then. Staff all pretty uninterested
Exceptional restaurant with amazing food and attentive staff
Distinctly average unfortunately. Staff couldnt care less and were far from welcoming on arrival. Waiting staff looked a little grubby with stained uniforms. Oysters incredibly poor quality. The rest was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Far better places to eat. Wouldnt return
A Disappointing Experience at a Luxury Restaurant My experience at Bob Bob Ricard was incredibly disappointing, especially given the restaurant s reputation and premium pricing. Here are the main issues we encountered: 1.Broken glass: I was served a drink in a glass with sharp, broken edges. This is not only unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber but also a safety hazard. 2.Compensation issues: After reporting the broken glass, we were initially offered a single shot of vodka as compensation for a table of six, which felt disrespectful. Only after we specifically requested it, additional shots of vodka were served. 3.Poor hygiene: One of the dishes served contained a strand of hair. The staff attempted to justify this by claiming it came from a brush used in the kitchen. Regardless, from my perspective, this remains an external object that should never be found in a dish. 4.Incorrect charges: We were told that some side dishes were on the house, but these items were later added to the final bill without explanation. 5.Inadequate discount for a significant issue: We ordered a Beef Wellington, which costs £200. Due to finding a hair in the dish, we were unable to eat its outer layer. Despite this, we were given only a £10 discount, which we found entirely insufficient considering the high cost of the dish. This experience was particularly disappointing because I was dining with my family, who came all the way from Italy to visit me. What should have been a special occasion turned into a frustrating and embarrassing evening. What should have been a memorable experience was overshadowed by a series of mishaps, worsened by the lack of proper handling from the staff. I won t be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant.
Very enjoyable. Good food, although limited mains with no sides, surprised they didnt recommend them to us. Value of food in the theatre menu (order before 18:00) was excellent. Food
Nice hip restaurant, just too loud music and bad acoustics. The other Bob Bob Ricard in Level 3, 122 Leadenhall St, London EC3V 4 is much nicer. You should definitely make a reservation, we had a reservation but despite that we had to wait more than half an hour.
Stunning vibe and fabulous team
Lovely afternoon with great food in great surroundings
Arrival was poor - queue at the front desk (I know it was a busy evening) but we were not made to feel appreciated. Initial experience at the table was poor - we had to ask to order drinks and food after a further wait - all of this waiting at the start meant that, by the time we had used up our 2-hour table allocation, we had only just managed to finish eating. Paradoxically, when we did finally get around to eating, the courses were served too close to each other. The whole thing felt rushed - it wasnt a casual evening to enjoy the undoubtedly excellent food and wine - it was a race against the clock. In the event, the head waiter thought he was doing us a big favour by extending our time at the table by 30 minutes - and so we fell back out on the street 2.5 hours after we arrived, £770 lighter and still not really appreciated - all that for £668 and a £100 service charge. I will not be going back. One positive point - Alexandra who served at our table was deserving of praise.
The food was great, athmosphere superb. Cloak room had a misshap with one of the shopping bags in our group but the service regarding the situation was amazing and they handled it great.
Beautiful place! Good food but so sad waiters are pushing to get your starter and main dish in 1 hour. It s a fancy restaurant so you want to make your evening of it and it s not the intention if you take an apero to get your starter directly when you are finished they want to serve your main directly but you asked for waiting for 20 minutes and they ask you each 5 min that it can come. We are foodies, we traveled the world and we know etiquette but here it s far looking for the service. Hope the next customers will have it better
Excellent service and food !
Nice food but service not very good
Good cocktails, friendly service, lovely schnitzel (chicken, natch) and wine. Whats not to like?
Just superb.
Excellent food, service and ambiance, such a great restaurant with a great authentic vibe.Always one of our favourites. Will be back very soon.
Nice atmosphere but prices are high for what you get. Smooth and good service. Food is nothing special.
Very good beef Wellington and fast service
UNFORGETTABLE, FABULOUS, NOTE PERFECT . At all Level!!!!
This restaurant exceeded my high expectations! The food was delicious, the dishes beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable. Everything was perfect.
Had my wedding lunch here in the private dining room. Amazing food service and everything was perfect Thank you Bob Bob and the team
My new favorite place in London! Gorgeous British restaurant situated in the heart of SoHo serving traditional dishes, and some old world/ Russian specialities. Chilled vodka, caviar, eggs. A million other options. Went there especially to try the beef Wellington. It was outstanding! A number of starters also available, including oysters. Food is top notch! Impressive wine list, including a long list of very good champagnes. Cocktails also available. The French 75 was excellent. The interior is a gorgeous and unique art deco setting. You can t help feeling special. Service is excellent. Helpful, charming, attentive. Top marks! Will make this a regular place. Don t miss out!
Would I recommend to a friend or return, unfortunately not. Maybe it was a bad day for them. I m not usually one to write reviews/complaints but this has been bothering me . I had ordered the chateaubriand for one, medium, which was in fact medium-well done, the texture was chewy and tough to cut, I was expecting it to be tender and juicy not dry. It was mostly grey and really not what I was expecting for such an iconic restaurant At £49 i would have expected better :-/ I ate through 50% hoping it may get better towards the centre. I asked the waitress over and she in fact agreed it was cooked medium-well done, and went on to say that the chef usually undercooks not over cooks After asking if I could have another she replied, no it will take too long to make and wasn t an option. I think this is what upset me the most. She took the plate away with the rest of the steak, I ended up eating the chips, which I also found to be basic and almost oven fried, oh and they come in a cheap cardboard box :-| The chateaubriand was taken off the bill, but in all honesty I would rather be asked if I wanted something else instead as I left hungry and not fulfilled with my dinner.
Very special, one-of-a-kind dining experience. Definitely a must-go if you like champagne, but the setting is unique for any special occasion.
Best Beef Wellington ever melting in mymouth! Lobster Mac n Cheese is very tasty.
The front desk staff was very rude. Seeing that we were two foreign girls, she spoke in a very bad tone. If guests were British, she would not treat them like this.
The place and the food, in short, everything is perfect. It was the best, most delicious chicken I have ever eaten in my life.
Fantastic dinner option! Highly recommend, excellent steak and wine. Very chill atmosphere.
Simply fabulous place. While the food was delicious, their drinks menu is very impressive too. Their chilled Vodka is divine. Other notable dishes were, beef Wellington, lobster Mac & Cheese.
So, famous Bob Bob Ricard. Just love this place and the food there Been many times and never disappointed. The service is amazing, the design is beautiful and the food just very tasty. They have very cozy tables, which are located in such a way that you are kind of separated from everyone. Press for champagne always works Would recommend to try their vareniki, with truffle and hake, that is so delicious.
Been at City branch few years ago and came back in Soho this time. Still great restaurant however portions are smaller than before.
This restaurant is why people hate fine dining. If you want a fine dining experience go anywhere else. Im going to start by saying, I always want to love a place. My wife and I were SO excited to visit Bob Bob. We booked weeks in advance for our second wedding anniversary and she flew from New York to join me. The service at the beginning of our meal was so bad we got up, cancelled our order and walked out. So I want to be clear that Im not coming for the kitchen or the chefs this is just a service review. When we entered the host barely looked up to say, good evening you have ten minutes to order. Not hello, not congratulations on your anniversary, nada. Ive been greeted with more warmly at off licenses . Also just logistically, why take our booking at your multi course £££ restaurant if you youre going to give us ten minutes to order? When we sat down our server took another ten minutes to touch the table and when he did arrive he had no functional idea of how to be a waiter. We had to ask if the kitchen was closing, we had to tell him it was our wedding anniversary, we had to explain what an allergy was, then he systematically drained all the joy and life out the experience with this exchange; My wife excitedly Can I press the button for Champagne?! Server flatly yeah....if you want .....cool thanks dude. When we complained to the floor manager he responded by shrugging and muttering ok. Bob Bob, y our Front of House is trash, do better. When people come to spend a weeks pay on one meal you should make them feel special not take the jam out of the donut, lick the sugar off, then throw it lifelessly on a Tiffany plate, and say bon appetite as you walk away. I know no one from your team will read this or respond, but I do hope a possible customer does and presses the like button on this review instead of the champagne button at your bloated heartless cash greedy restaurant.
Love this place! A great choice for a special occasion. I have been here twice; once for a Christmas dinner, and recently for my birthday. Make sure to order a champagne cocktail!
I had an amazing experience at Bob Bob Ricard Soho on 13 November 2024. As a frequent and regular customer, I have always appreciated the excellent food and service, but this visit truly stood out. I accidentally left my wallet behind, and the staff found it and promptly returned it to me with everything intact. Their upmost honesty, integrity and care truly impressed me, and speaks volumes about the quality of service here. I can t thank them enough and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
Great food and the staff were super attentive and had great humour. Highly recommend the beef wellington.
Wonderful, romantic atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Food was exquisite.
Great spot for a date with someone you love.
A fun, stylish evening, with great food, engaging staff and a buzzing atmosphere. Would recommend for any special occasion or a treat evening with friends and loved ones!
Fantastic food and super cool ambiance! Just might be my new go-to London hangout
The food and service were impeccable. We had a great birthday celebration for a friend in the private room. It was lovely!
This restaurant is an absolute gem in the heart of Soho. After hearing so many rave reviews, I had high expectations and I m happy to say it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance exudes French elegance in every detail. It s the perfect spot for those who appreciate sophistication in both atmosphere and dining. The wine selection was superb, and the food was even better. Every dish we tried was exquisite and bursting with flavor. I took a chance on the lobster mac and cheese, and though I was initially skeptical, it completely blew me away. A must-visit for any food lover.
British food with eastern Europe leanings. Cheese souffle was excellent, salmon pie, chateaubriand very good. A strawberry souffle and sticky toffee pudding were very competent Limited menu but execution was very good. Food : 4/5 |
We had an up and down experience here tonight. The initial staff were absolutely first rate. However, our first server was lacking. Failed to introduce himself, recognize the occasion for which we were there, brought out cold bread and hard butter (which isnt complimentary), our side came out on its own, and his was apathetic demeanor was bordering on rude. Fortunately, Robert saved the evening. He ensured everything was exceptional and helped make things right. Cant say enough nice things about him! As mentioned by others diners, the mains were outstanding, with the sides just being ok. The truffle fries we had were nothing special. While the Champagne button is unique, Id suggest installing one to press for better service ha
Bob Bob Ricard, Soho never disappoints and delivers top notch quality across every aspect! Love!
All the dishes were excellent, starting with the various appetizer dumplings, the cheese souffle, continuing with the Beef Wellington, and ending with the strawberry souffle and the perfect Creme Brule. Wonderful experience overall.
Classic restaurant. Came for the press for champagne fun, and did not disappoint. Had oyster for starters, lobster Mac n cheese, and chicken & champagne pie with creme brulee to top it off. Had a really fun date night
The Beef Wellington was delightful. Tender and succulent. Oysters were very fresh and tasty too. The vegetables sides are small single portions if you are sharing.
Beef Wellington was one of the best I ever had. The soufflé balanced the sweet and sour extremely well. Decoration and atmosphere were fantastic. We will come again!
Food was nice but we ve had the worst experience in London so far. We ordered our dessert and have waited for it, but the waiter told us without giving us a heads up that it won t be served as we d need to return the table. They would have served it earlier or just don t take this order if they are not gonna serve it due to the time limit, not to mention the fact that they still charge us for the dessert and luckily we ve noticed it. And when we are paying for the bill, the waitress was rude when we asked for the receipt and rolled her eyes on us when we requested a copy of it, not sure if it s because of our race. No matter how delicious the restaurant is, I will probably not visit the place again because of the service.
Could not recommend this restaurant more! We were running very late and the host was truly amazing and got us in. We had to eat quickly but was so worth it! The beef Wellington was outstanding, the vibes were wonderful, and over all a great night! We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone traveling to London!
If you are looking for a perfect Beef Wellington, this is the place! Highly recommended
Absolutely delicious food - will definitely be back
Very tasty food, a nice atmosphere and courteous and attentive staff.
We were told that we have to leave in 10 minutes half way through dessert. overall overpriced.
This was a rather special place, both for atmosphere, food and wines. You can t help to be amazed by how the restaurant has been laid out and the food and drinks do not disappoint. The Tuna Tartare, with its accompaniment, was incredibly fresh, and some Chablis perfect. The Beef Wellington and its rich sauce were special, along with the Malbec wine. Not an every month visiting place but it s wonderful for special occasions and good food & wine.
Fine dishes and good services. I booked for a 3:30pm table on 19/10/2024 and was late to turn up at the restaurant. The receptionist lady originally could not arrange a table until late at night. However, her boss (photo attached) could manage the booking and took the initiative to help and reserve me a table at 5pm. I would express my appreciation for his kindness publicly.
Very nice restaurant with delicious food and good service. I liked the oysters, truffle mash and lobster mac and cheese which had a decent amount of lobster. The chocolate dessert was beautifully presented. Service charge was quite high compared to other restaurants though
I came across this restaurant because of the superb doorman who was so welcoming and polite, he invited me in to look at the menu and the restaurant! Upon such impressive welcoming, starting at the door, I booked lunch for my mum for her 90th Birthday and it was on a Sunday. I really wanted my mum to experience a fantastic service starting even before she entered the restaurant. When we arrived, there was no doorman, what a let down and disappointment! I felt let down and cheated. The service inside was very good and the young kind waiter who served us was very understanding of a small mix up but he perfectly resolved it. Furthermore, he organised a small but delicious birthday cake as a surprise for my mum, well done to him! The food was very delicious and we all enjoyed the excellent foods, no complaints! The 4 star for service is because there was no doorman to greet us and he was the very reason I chose this restaurant for this special event. Am I right to think that the doorman was not there because they were trying to save cost as it was a Sunday? :(((
I found the whole experience phenomenal! The service is outstanding, you have attention from the stuff in an extremely polity and pleasant way. The food is astonishing- the lobster Mac Cheese is certainly my favourite. Great selection of drinks/wines, and if you re a champagne lover, this place was crafted for you! Absolutely recommend & hope to be back very soon!
Had a fantastic meal, sat at the bar and the the staff very attentive!
Enjoyed an early Saturday lunch. The restaurant was quiet, and we enjoyed the peace before the service got busier at standard lunch times. We enjoyed their most excellent beef Wellington, which really does live up to its reputation. There is attention paid to everything including decor, ambience, service, food, and the drink. Our server/waiter Alexandra was an excellent host, who made us feel very welcome and comfortable, but never in a fussy, or intrusive manner. The sticky toffee pudding is worth a try. Kid-friendliness: I wouldnt think this to be child friendly
Oustanding service and lovely atmosphere all around, we had the beef wellington as our main with other little side dishes, the pastry was spot on and everything worked together, the truffle fries is also worth a shot!
What a way to finish our holiday, thank you! The food and service here were the best of our trip. An amazing experience. Highly recommend. Food : 5/5
This was hands down the BEST meal I have ever had and I am so happy that I chose Bob Bob Ricard for my Birthday dinner. I traveled from the USA and found this restaurant online (I booked one month in advance). I ordered a dirty vodka martini (which was exquisitely made) and enjoyed the Scallop, Lobster & Shrimp Pelmeni as an appetizer which was divine. It only came with 3 dumplings which was slightly disappointing but the taste made up for it. For my main course, I had the Beef Wellington which I cannot recommend enough. It was flaky, the meat was perfectly cooked, and it was an overall a phenomenal meal. The staff was kind enough to bring me a complimentary birthday dessert which was divine. I strongly recommend that you press the Champagne button at least once as it is such a unique experience. Overall, the ambiance, the service, and the food is worth the price point and I would absolutely return to Bob Bob Ricard Soho. If youre in the area and looking for a nice meal that will exceed expectations, I would strongly recommend booking a reservation here.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere, loved the press for champagne button would highly recommend
PRESS FOR CHAMPAGNE button! My wife was fascinated and felt the urge to press more often than naught. Food was tasty and well prepared.
In the heart of London, a hidden gem offers an exquisite blend of French culinary elegance and impeccable British hospitality. The moment one steps into this restaurant, the ambiance exudes a refined charm that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu, crafted with precision, offers a selection of delicacies that are both sumptuous and sophisticated. The caviar and oysters, served with a finesse that highlights the freshness of each bite, are nothing short of spectacular. Yet, it is the accompanying Champagne that truly elevates the meal each glass poured is a testament to the restaurants dedication to excellence, with a selection that would impress even the most discerning connoisseur. However, the crowning jewel of the evening was undoubtedly the service. The staff displayed a level of attentiveness and warmth that is rare even in the most celebrated establishments. Their knowledge of the menu, paired with an intuitive sense of timing, ensured that every need was anticipated and every expectation exceeded. It is clear that the team here takes immense pride in their work, creating an atmosphere where guests are made to feel not just welcome, but genuinely valued. In summary, this restaurant is not just a place to dine, but a destination where culinary artistry meets unparalleled service. For those seeking a truly exceptional evening in London, this is a must-visit.
When I first heard of Bob Bob Ricard my mind first drifted to a good friend also named Bob who is a well known racist. I did not know what to expect but I can comfortably say both my cousin and I were pleasently surprised by the candle lit experience. Its not often we treat ourselves to such fine dining, but when we do it must include indulging together in succulent juicy meats. The Beef Wellington is no exception which is to be expected from a cut that comes fresh off the cattles back from Scotland. We tasted every vertabre of this cows back and enjoyed each tender bite. The Crème Brûlée burned as deep as our cousin love and I would happily return with the rest of my cousins.
Everything was perfect! Another favourite restaurant added to my list!
Our waitress was amazing !
Enjoyed the beef wellington, beef was done nicely and the pastry was good. The dessert was presented beautifully and was a great end to the meal. The interior is lovely and service was good.
This is a lovely restaurant with service that means the press for more champagne button isnt actually needed. We were seated at the bar which was great fun. The food was really good and the cocktails even better! We arrived a little early and they accommodated us straight away. I would happily return.
Loved everything about it. Wonderful food and lovely staff
We found a place by chance, but it would be better if you make a reservation. The atmosphere of the place is very nice. We liked it very much. Beef wellington dish was the reason we went. We were very pleased. It was one of our most enjoyable dinners in London.
Much awaited experience... Ive been waiting for the opportunity to come to this restaurant for 2 years and yet I think Ill be disappointed. Very beautiful restaurant inside and out, very nice 70s era. The table is quite pretty as are the dishes (too bad to have paper placemats ..). As for the prices, £30 for 5 ravioli (not even noted on the menu). As well as truffle fries (Mc Cain fries most certainly) with 0.3g of shavings at £9 we are not far from the excess. And finally the dessert, strawberry soufflé, no taste interest too bad. I preferred to list the negative because I admit to being extremely disappointed... despite the excessive price of the ravioli they were DELICIOUS, as for the lobster mc and cheese which was excellent! And very nice to have brought a small birthday cake for my boyfriend who is celebrating. Very nice and friendly service. I admit to being quite mixed about my experience, so I wont be able to tell you whether I recommend it or not given the prices. I think you have to choose carefully what you take.
This restaurant wont give you a comfortable table if youre injured, even if plenty of tables are free. This evening was my third visit to Bob Bob Ricard and after giving it so many tries, each time has been affected by a rude Maîtresse d. Tonight I further injured my neck because they wouldnt let us sit at a table with food despite plenty of booths being available, including many for two people. First time I tried Bob Bob Ricard, we had a reservation for drinks and despite the restaurant being DEAD midweek - no one else in the building but us - the staff refused to give us a comfortable booth seat and forced us to sit at the bar as a group of three which was impractical (we werent facing eachother). The staff were rude about it when we politely asked. We were only there and hour and only a couple of tabled arrived in that time. They could have easily seated us. We didnt stay for long and ended up elsewhere with better hospitality. Second time, I came in for a two person walk-in for food and again they refused to let us have a comfortable seat despite plenty of being available. We only stayed for one drink then went to a nicer bar. Then tonight was the worst - September 10 2024. This time it really mattered to get a seat as I have a painful neck at the moment and I didnt want to twist my neck and back on the high chairs at the bar while talking to my partner. We came without a reservation at 9, but there were 6 tables free upstairs and some more downstairs. We explained we were there to dine. When seated, I said hey, my neck is injured and there are lots of booths free over there, could I please sit there to the waitress and she said the staff didnt want to pay attention to that area (yet there was a couple dining in that section of four tables plus tables in other sections were free). She then said she would ask if we could get a table and that she would be back to let us know, but she didnt return. Sure enough I ended up straining my neck even worse when dining high up at the bar because I had to twist around to face my partner to my side. I then went to the reception and spoke to the Maîtresse d to let her know that the lack of accommodation made me worsen my injury, and that I noticed a wide array of booths that stayed empty the entire time. She tried to claim that all empty booths were kept for reservations that were very late (yeah, right, wasnt born yesterday; this now 9 PM and there are many many seats available). She then had the audacity to say that we only are a walk in so shouldnt expect a seat. No apology whatsoever but rather glaring at me and speaking to me like Im stupid. So just because we walked in, we arent entitled to sit comfortably and not get injured? Safe to say we ordered far less than we planned and removed the service tip before leaving. We wanted to try some savoury and deserts and cocktails but just had a single cocktail and dessert. Not to mention my creme brûlée was disappointingly soft up top with no brittle crack when breaking the top. Three chances in a row Ive given Bob Bob Ricard and every single time has been ruined by the snooty Maîtresse d team. The waiters and security guards are all lovely however. Why do the hosts interfere and ruin the experience? I dont understand why they wouldnt give a customer something if its plentiful and going to sit empty anyway, especially given the injury. Why not create a positive dining experience and get a good review and further return custom.
I ordered 2 starters, I didnt like both, maybe I didnt get it right. The service was good.
Bob Bob Ricardo is, without a doubt, the pinnacle of my dining experiences. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in an inviting ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The decor seamlessly blends modern elegance with a touch of whimsy, creating an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and comfortable. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. They guided me through the offerings with enthusiasm, ensuring that I felt catered to at every turn. Now, let s talk about the food this was, unquestionably, the best meal I ve ever had the privilege of tasting. Each dish is a work of art, meticulously crafted with a balance of flavors that left me in awe. The starters were a delightful introduction, showcasing unique ingredients that danced on my palate. The main course was where the magic happened. The presentation was stunning, and the first bite confirmed my high expectations. The harmony of textures and flavors was extraordinary; it was as if each ingredient was chosen for its compatibility with the others. I delighted in every morsel, savoring the complexity while still appreciating the simplicity of the dish. Dessert was the grand finale, a sweet experience that perfectly complemented the meal without overwhelming the senses. Each bite was indulgent, leaving me entirely satisfied yet yearning for more. Overall, dining at Bob Bob Ricardo was not just a meal; it was an experience that engaged all my senses. I left with a heart full of joy and an eager anticipation to return. If you re looking for a meal that transcends ordinary dining, Bob Bob Ricardo should be at the top of your list.
Bob Bob Ricard offers an extraordinary dining experience with exquisite dishes, impeccable service, and enchanting ambiance. A place where culinary artistry and hospitality converge, creating lasting memories.
This place is an absolute GEM! We went with a party of 6 and each one of us loved this. The Olive appetizers are the best we ever had, the drinks, the beef Wellington! All of it was beyond amazing. This was our favorite meal in London. We will absolutely be back! I would give 10 stars if I could
Expensive expensive experience in Soho. Elegant decor. Service ok.
Food and service was perfect as always. The Beef Wellington is done perfectly every time. Push the champagne button at will.
The food tastes good, the service is good, and the steak Wellington is authentic!
Top venue. A touch of class.
Cannot fault this place. It is brilliant
A famous fine dining restaurant in London. The interior is characterized by an art deco style. Serving modern British cuisine and cocktails inspired by French cuisine. Many people visit for anniversaries and special occasions due to its upscale atmosphere and special service. For cocktails, we recommend Strawberry & Peach Bellini. The Truffle & Champagne Humble Pie looked and tasted great.
Food is good, but not extraordinary. Expensive restaurant - good for a romantic dinner for 2.
One of my favourite recent food experiences. The food is high quality (love the lobster mac and cheese), the super-chilled vodka is a treat, the service is excellent and the booths provide an intimate dining experience. Highly recommend.
Wonderful atmosphere with roomy and private booths. Service is excellent with a nice wine list. The food is good but just not gourmet. I would favour the top floor if possible. Have been a few times in the last year - always enjoyable!
Had an early Saturday dinner in July and loved it. The food is delicious, service is polite and speedy. Would recommend.
We recently dined at Bob Bob Ricard in SoHo and I have to highlight the outstanding service we received. Our server, Alexandra was attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She made excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Every detail was taken care of, from promptly refilling our drinks to ensuring our meals were cooked to perfection. The ambiance, coupled with such exceptional service, made our visit truly memorable. We will definitely be returning to Bob Bob Ricard and highly recommend it to others!
The dishes were slightly lacking salt, but they remained very good. I am also unsure how house-made the purée is: the texture was off. Despite this, the meal was very enjoyable. Absolutely loved the button press for champagne next to the table. Food
Lovely restaurant and service. On the expensive side but great as a date night or special occasion.
Service was outstanding. Champagne bottom was very fun! Food was great. Wine was slightly overpriced.
We went here in July for an anniversary dinner. The dinner was excellent, to the point where were still talking about it a month later. We ordered two alcoholic drinks, which were exceptional and barely tasted of alcohol, yet were strong. For dinner, we ordered the beef wellington for two. Now, I had specifically searched for the best beef wellington for our anniversary, which is what steered me to Bob Bob Ricard Soho in the first place. Neither of us had had it before, and they definitely did not disappoint. The seasoning was wonderful and the beef was perfectly cooked. We ended the night with the flaming creme brulee, which was also perfectly made and entertaining to watch as it goes out. Staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Seeing people press the champagne button was also fun. Would totally recommend for any important event or desire for an interesting or intimate dinner.
Great experience. 1930s splendour recreated. Food exceptional. Service could not have been better nor more elegant. And we just had to press the button. IFKYK!
This place was much anticipated and it did not let down. I liked the design and the service was excellent. Food was also second to none. The beef Wellington was cooked perfectly. I will return on my next trip to the UK.
Fantastic lunch experience for our anniversary. The food was delicious, the service perfect, we were not hurried and treated with utmost courtesy. The decor is really stylish and so perfectly detailed. We most definitely pressed for champagne! We loved it and cannot wait to go back.
Their Beef Wellington is out of this world!! And thank you Teto for the top-notch attentive service, and for helping us choose the perfect wine for the meal. Food
Stunning food, excellent service & a beautiful venue. Can t fault the food or experience. Will be returning.
Its a pricey experience, but its worth every penny. Fantastic service and its a place that makes you feel truly special. Try the champagne button! And the vodka! The dumplings are also a must as is the Beef Wellington. Desserts are a performance and a beautiful flourish to the end of the meal!
I think Beef Wellington is the most delicious British dish. Please try it. I think Beef Wellington is the best British dish, so you should definitely try it.
For the price, I don t know if I would return. Unfortunately the steak tartare was basically unseasoned, making it the most tasteless and therefore worst steak tartare I ve tried. Generally we found the plates acceptable, not that well balanced with respect to flavours, however the service was extremely fast, perhaps a bit rushed. Overall however, a pleasant visit.
It was lunchtime so it wasnt very busy but the layout and the attention to detail was magnificent. The beef Wellington cut like butter and the sticky toffee pudding was devine. Will definitely be going back.
Not great. Their minimum spend policy is ridiculous considering the restaurant was empty
Great setting but below par service and food - do NOT come hungry - food portions are like mini appetisers - came for a work dinner to impress European colleagues - disappointed to say the least.
Everyone was so incredibly kind, especially the gentleman at the door and the gentleman that served us. Gorgeous venue and setting but the service really makes the experience! I would highly recommend
Incredible food, incredible service. I will be coming back very soon
Fancy vibes, nice food, great champagne selection for pretty good prices! And our waiter was lovely The food is a bit overpriced for what they serve though Food
Good atmosphere, food ok.
Expensive, indulgent old British/French dining. Beef Wellington here is superb.
We ordered the caviar tasting 30g and as it was a tasting we both expected to be told a little about the different caviars but they just placed the plate Ieven though there were only two other people in the restaurant at the time) on the table. When we asked the waiter which we should start with unfortuatly he did not know. So we ended up eating the wrong way around. Though the caviar was nice. The beef wellington was perfectly cooked but the just was overseasoned and had split and was very oily.
This is a tale of two halves! Attended for my birthday and the service was excellent. Sadly I cannot say the same for the food. My friend ordered the cheese soufflé for starter which she enjoyed and I had the dumplings which were just ok. Mains I had the lobster mac and cheese which unfortunately for me felt really dry. I mentioned it to the waiter and without hesitation he mentioned it to the chef and to their credit they took off the bill and agreed. I didn t ask for it to be removed but it was a kind gesture. Overall the food just didn t meet the grandeur of the surroundings.
I usually go there tasty food (especially the beef wellington), delicious deserts and nice cocktails :)
Delicious steak wellington, tender meat, excellent service
Celebrated my birthday here and it was a memorable experience, they had champagne on tap and the dessert was a show in itself!
Food was amazing. Plan to spend money but worth it. Service was excellent.
Great place for a special celebration. The food was excellent, albeit expensive, and the service was great.
Great restaurant, vodka shots were an experience, champagne service bell querky, all good well presented, Beef Wellington done perfect, Mr birthday so they brought a cake!Salmon was great
Perfect evening, everything was so good especially the beef Wellington.
It was a pleasant experience however I wasn t blown away by the food The press for Champagne button was a bit of a gimmick as it just calls the waiter to come to you to take the order. Food : 3/5
Very mediocre food for the price, steak was chewy and tasteless. Service extremely inconsistent and random with training happening right in front of us. Dietary restrictions: Only steak could be as a GF option
We had oysters, cavier and champagne at the bar. The food was delicious. Ambience of the restaurant and the service were excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.
Fabulous meal, wonderful service. Be sure to push the champagne button at least once! Its magical! And have the beef Wellington!!
If you have any type of allergy, do not go to this restaurant. They do not accommodate any Allergy. I did not ask to be born with this Allergy. Dietary restrictions: They do not accommodate any type of allergy.
Waiters were so rude.
Always a great experience and food sheer perfection
The look and feel of the restaurant is nice but I cannot recommend the food. Based on my visit last weekend I d categorise the food as pub grub but triple the price. I came away feeling like I had paid for the novelty champagne button experience.
Came here to celebrate an anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lovely, it s a gorgeous restaurant with a perfect setting for celebrations as a couple or with family/friends. Every item we tried from starter to dessert was of very high quality, but of course the beef wellington was the star - brilliantly prepared with wonderful flavours, tender and cooked to perfection, it is not to be missed. We returned again for a dinner with friends and the wellington and steaks were just as good as the first time, plus they provided a complementary birthday cake!
Caught food poisoning from this place!!! Meat was not cooked right, tasted off waiters never asked how we wanted our steak cooked either which I found strange
It s nice but nothing outstanding for the price of the menu the real experience is the press bottom for champagne on each table.
We came on a Saturday at around 5pm with no reservations and was seated right away. I loved the out time feel inside. Everything felt very classic. We got espresso martini and strawberry peach bellini. The espresso martini was not bad. Very smooth and delicious. The bellini was not too sweet but not fruity enough. The steak tartare and the smoked salmon were a bit disappointing. The steak tartare in general was a bit boring. Nothing stood out about it. The smoked salmon was better than the steak tartare. I liked the contrast of the bread and the texture of the salmon worked We had the beef wellington and lobster Mac and cheese for mains. The beef wellington was pretty good. The beef was tender and the pastry was flaky all around. The gravy/sauce was much needed. The ends that they give you was just too thickly done. It would be better if it was served without it The lobster Mac and cheese was absolutely delicious. Very cheesy and I loved the bits of lobster in it. I wish there was more seafood lobster flavour baked into the pasta itself. It wasnt overly cheesy so that it didnt mask the flavour of the lobster too much. For dessert we shared the BBR chocolate glory and sticky toffee pudding. The chocolate glory visually was beautiful. But flavour wise it tasted EXACTLY like Ferrero rocher. Crunchy hazelnut and chocolatey. It was missing a sour note to it. The sticky toffee pudding was way too sweet for my liking. It was difficult to finish. It needed way more ice cream to off balance the sweetness of the sticky toffee pudding. Overall they do the mains really well here. The lobster Mac and cheese and the beef wellington were really good. But the drinks, desserts and appetizers were mediocre at best. Come here for the mains but unfortunately I would skip the rest
Nice restaurant, beautifully set up. Service was great and food was good enough.
Really beautiful, cozy atmosphere. You are seated in a booth and each booth has a button for you to request champagne which is a nice touch. Service was impeccable. There was a slight error with part of our order, and it was fixed immediately. We had the caviar tasting with the frozen vodka shots. I m not a huge vodka fan, but it was nice and the caviar, blini and creme fraiche were delightful. Next we tried the seafood pelmini which was lovely. We shared a small beef wellington which was perfectly cooked and one of the best wellingtons I have had here in London. Sides were tasty as well. Really enjoyed the truffle mashed potatoes and green beans. Champagne cocktails were great especially the champagne foam on top. We tried the Bellini and one that was more like a mojito. We also had the rose moet which was very nice. We had truffles for dessert because we were so full at that point, but the larger desserts sounded very tempting. The truffles were a perfect sweet ending without being too filling.
This restaurant had great food and decor but the 150 pound/person minimum was ridiculous especially since we did not originally book this package. The whole experience was ruined where at the end of our meal and after having great champagne we were forced to order an over priced bottle of wine to take home in order to meet this minimum. I asked to speak to a manager but no one came despite the restaurant being almost empty.
I ordered an old fashioned and it was served on a glass full of ice cubes, not a single block of ice, as is custom. I then ordered a margarita and asked to substitute the tequila for mezcal--no luck, they dont carry mezcal. For a place that imagines itself fancy, its definitely lacking. Food was good, nothing spectacular.
Was here with my girlfriends. We had a fabulous night with great food.
At Bob Bob Richard s, our dining experience was made truly exceptional by our server, Alex. Not only did Alex deliver impeccable service with precision and professionalism, but they also infused the evening with humor and quick wit that kept us thoroughly entertained. From their charming banter to their lightning-fast service, Alex elevated our dining experience to new heights. If youre seeking outstanding service paired with comedic flair, make sure to ask for Alex at Bob Bob Richard s. They truly embody excellence in hospitality! P.S. make sure to order the crème brûlée and the chocolate truffle!!!
Impressive food selections and service!! Our group had a great impression with this venue and people!
Whilst the service was impeccable and the interior beautiful, the meal itself felt a bit flat. Steak tartare was a little bland and a pie with only a pastry top and no pastry base felt stingy and unforgivable for the price point, especially when the filling was distinctly mediocre.
We were seated in the private dining room, some Steak s came out burnt and cold to the crisp and some of the sides followed 45 minutes after. Also found hair in the food. The service was absolutely shocking and they do not grasp the customers point of view. For example requesting a straw which apparently the boss does not approve of. Would never return again.
The service was good, the food was okay, and the price was way too high. The restaurant had almost no one in it for 7pm, but was very well decorated and inviting. I wouldnt go back.
Really nice food, though our waiter was a tad pretentious- a medium steak requested apparently the greatest social faux pas this restauranteur had ever heard we were also seated next to the loudest possible group in the history of groups/ whilst I would totally blame them (and may have done on our exit), there was a point where I felt the restaurant could ve helped (but I guess quite awkward in practicality). Anyway, the food itself was fab (not steak as I was banished from my Beef Wellington)/ Overall /good value / the deco was great probably just a bad day for one member of staff (and an annoying group) but that s my experience for what it s worth.
Poor food quality, sickness after paying a hefty money for the food, avoid this restaurant at any cost! Vegetarian options: Poor quality and not a triumph for an expensive restaurant like Bob Bob Ricard!
Place where you can be served caviar, oysters, tartares or sirloin Wellington. Elegant and at the same time mysterious room that I recommend 100%
I am forever grateful for the staff of Bob Bob for accommodating my last minute London wish for Beef Welly. We got there about an hour before close and to our dismay, the kitchen was closed. We sat at the bar and regrouped over some wine and were surprised when the staff said they would be able to accommodate us. The vibes are very old money but not as stuffy as The Capital Grille. Best Welly I ever had and the sides were pretty good though the spinach was a touch salty. Also got to try sticky toffee pudding. Yes, it was expensive but well worth the money for a great dining experience.
I thought this was going to be a fake-nice, style over substance restaurant that just wanted to pump through Instagram nerds chomping at the bit to press for champagne. What a treat it was, therefore, to find that this is actually a genuinely nice restaurant with lovely food and exceptional service in a beautiful, pretty lavish restaurant. Its not trendy or cool, its just a seriously good dinner. As long as you mentally prepare for the fact that everything is about 20-25% more expensive than it should be then you can quite happily have a wonderful time. Special occasion sort of stuff, but I would go back.
Fantastic experience
Delicious food, service was outstanding, booths warm and cosy and the best feature was the press for champaign button and instantly the waiter appears for service! They have a downstairs bar areas too. Its not cheap but for a special occasion/date, very worth it! 2nd visit after 7 years and still the same! Food and service was excellent. We had the pie and ofcourse champagne
Top class restaurant & great location. Food is very good quality. Classy place & always a great experience whether there s a lively or relaxed ambience. The service is nothing less than first class Food is delicious although there could be more vegetarian options.
Excellent service, food not so impressive. Nice place
The decor is nice, but let down by the food. Its not bad, but for the price, I expected more.
Love this restaurant, service is nice and the food is lovely.
Bob Bob Ricard Soho is a delightful experience to your eyes... as long as you dont pay attention to details. The reception is friendly and welcoming, and the service changes a bit when followed by the inquisitive and judgemental looks while at the table - hardly a smile or the proper attention to the guests. The beautiful decor sets the place as a cozy and discrete environment. However, the ripped leather in our sits and the cheap cutlery on our tables gave us a warning of what we could find. The contrast between expensive and poor is strange: if you consider the excess of paper used as plate mat, chips box and other details you will feel like in a fast food chain. Taking into consideration that the food is not cheap - unless you are used to visit the exclusive bistros in Mayfair - you also get disappointed when realising that the menu is not creative. The Menu may cause a certain disbelief as the food offers neither a rich nor a flavoursome taste which makes you wonder why such restaurant would include Chicken Kiev, plain chips, and Mac & Cheese in its list of options. Let us not forget the details and inform that the menu is also out of date on the restaurants website. When considering the choices, one may wonder if some dishes are indeed superior to the ones at Five Guys, just around the corner. As we know, the details play a great part in our daily choices, and Bob Bob Ricard is greatly missing this part. Try to go to the male toilet and find a toilet, and you will see only urinals - I am sure there is a hidden one somewhere I could not find. Try to wash your hands and then apply a hand cream (a not necessary item, but often found even in Supermarket toilets nowadays) and you will be wondering if you are indeed in a place worth of its reputation. I would consider Bob Bob Ricard as the Marmite of the London hospitality: some will love, some will hate; however, we know we will never find something extraordinary about it.
Booked a booth thinking it was going to be a lovely blue one on the ground floor. There appeared plenty free, but we were directed to the basement, which has an altogether different vibe. Some might consider it disappointing by comparison. Its subjective. I would not advise any who suffer from epilepsy to accept a table on this level as the brightly coloured dancefloor lighting occasionally sweeps the room with a flashing, multi coloured, blinding ability to disrupt ones train of thought. That said, the seating is comfortable. Service was a mixed bag. Obviously corked wine was served and sent back. Some things took a while to come, others were quick. As to the food, the Wellington was excellent, the Kiev was a touch heavy on the garlic, as was the spinach. The truffle fries were nice enough. The souffle wasnt as visually stunning as I expected it to be, but again, perfectly acceptable and the tuna tartare, the same. I have passed by this restaurant for years and always wanted to try as it looked so much fun. I should have gone when we were both younger and perhaps less jaded. Simple advice, take the Wellington and confirm youre in a blue booth on the ground floor.
Fabulous food. Just love the chicken Kyiv and mashed potato. No starters or desserts this time but have had them in the past and all were great.
This was our second visit to BBR soho (we have also visited BBR city & Bebe Bob) and it was just as enjoyable as the first. From the moment you walk through the door the experience starts- the decor is amazing and sitting in a booth it feels incredibly private but there s still a buzz in the air creating the perfect ambiance. On every BBR we order the trio of caviar to share with our pre dinner drink as it is so delicious and also good value. We then had a starter & main then shared a dessert-All of the food was very enjoyable. We love the menu as it s simple comfort food with a luxurious twist executed perfectly. The service is discreet and champagne is topped up without me even noticing! Can t wait to visit again!
Excellent food, drinks and service. Well worth a repeat visit. The only thing that spoilt the experience was attitude of the front of house staff which were rude by choice.
Superlative service. Lovely decor. Great food.
The overall experience is amazing. The food is simply exquisite. The drinks are great too. The Strawberry and cream soufflé is delicious and sweet. The service is attentive and friendly. You feel welcomed the moment you walk into the restaurant. The place is located between Oxford Circus and Soho. (Walk from Oxford Circus station is less than 10 minutes)
Sublime!!! Everything from food, cocktails, mood etc. Cannot recommend it enough!
A true fine dining experience
Another London Gem
My wife thinks this is the best place for beef wellington. The service is very good. Good ambience We enjoyed the dinner here.
I went on the advice of a colleague who recommended this restaurant to me because of the presence of Russian cuisine. I realized that the restaurant had been repurposed as an Anglo-French one, while Siberian caviar, Kiev cutlet and dumplings remained on the menu. Which would be totally okay. The only dish we liked was mashed potatoes. Chicken Kiev is just dry fillet, with butter on a plate. A separate contra is the service, we waited for the waiter for 15 minutes, the empty plates are not taken away. We were offered pickles as a side for sweet cocktails, and bread and butter for pie! Chicken pie had the same onion pickles which were offered as a Cocktail side. Not worth the money.
Stunning does not so it justice..staff so attentive as well
Well, What an experience, the staff were very professional, they listened to us, making recommendations, the Restaurant was clean and welcoming, we had a booth, very personal, we were not pushed to order, the food was out of this world, and..the cocktails..well..? It was the Best Restaurant we have ever been in, we liked it that much ..we made a booking for our Anniversary..Thank you to all the staff, and the chef.. We wont forget our experience, see you all soon.
