Five Guys Covent Garden serves burgers and fries how they are meant to be. High-quality Scottish and Irish beef, hand cut fries and as many fresh toppings as you wish in any combination you'd like. You can also create your own flavoured shakes with a range of different mix-ins.
First time eating at 5 Guys. Food was decent although I found my beefburger a little dry. We ordered 2 large fries and the amount that arrived could have fed the whole place!! They were really nice but the 4 of us couldn't finish them. The milk shakes were fabulous, the staff pleasant and the place was clean. There was plenty of staff on and we waited no more than a few minutes for our food and it was getting really busy when we left.
incredibly overpriced. £21 for a cheeseburger, chips and a drink?? dry and tasteless burger, rude server who gave me a dirty look while i was ordering. didn't really like five guys to begin with, this has only strengthened my dislike.
Food was amazing. Generous portion of fries. The burger was so juicy! Marek on the till was very positive and you can tell he enjoys his job. Toilets were also clean and big. Enjoyed my meal and visit.
My first burger in this chain, wait was a bit long as there was quite a queue. Lots of seating in the basement area so it’s quiet and fairly relaxing for a meal. Good burger, chips are not as good as other burger chains. Good beef. Overall I think it’s good but still prefer Shake Shack which is better burger and chips. Not cheap either for over £16 for a burger and chips without a drink.
I recently tried the famous Five Guys burger, and it truly lived up to the hype! The burger was cooked to perfection — juicy, flavorful, and customizable with all the fresh toppings you could want. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and the generous portion of fries on the side was a great addition. The service was quick and friendly, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for a top-tier burger that hits the spot, Five Guys is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend for any burger lover!
Five Guys in Covent Garden, London, is a haven for burger enthusiasts seeking a hearty and customizable dining experience. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere mirrors the lively surroundings of Covent Garden. The ordering process is straightforward – choose your preferred toppings from an extensive list, ensuring a personalized touch to your meal. The star of the show is undoubtedly their burgers, made with high-quality beef patties that are juicy and flavorful. The customizable nature of the menu allows for endless combinations, catering to diverse taste preferences. The fries, hand-cut and generously portioned, are a delectable side that perfectly complements the main course. Service is fast and efficient, maintaining the brand's commitment to providing a quick-casual dining experience. The staff's friendly demeanor adds a welcoming touch, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere. However, the prices lean towards the higher end for a fast-food joint, reflecting the quality of ingredients used. The layout of the restaurant can be cramped during peak hours, leading to a bustling and sometimes noisy environment. In summary, Five Guys in Covent Garden delivers on its promise of tasty, customizable burgers and satisfying sides. While it may be a bit pricier than traditional fast food, the quality of ingredients and the lively ambiance make it a worthwhile choice for those craving a premium burger experience in the heart of London.
I'm not sure where to start my review, other than to say you have to be a real aficionado of 5 Guys to want to eat their food and above all pay their high prices. My family and I ordered 3 hamburgers, with 1 regular and 1 small fries, as well as 1 regular Cola and the cost was £44!! I wouldn't have minded if this place was something special but it isn't. Furthermore I don't understand why they feel the need to throw an extra portion of fries into the bag over the burgers?! Seems so odd to me. As for the burger, it tasted ok, but I did find it a bit too greasy for my liking and as for the fries, they were all small, which kind of made it tricky to dip them into the tub of sauce without getting sauce all over your fingers. I realise this is a subjective review and there'll be those who really love this burger establishment, but it's not for me. If I'm paying that kind of money for a burger meal I'm going to expect something a bit special, if not then I'm happy to go elsewhere.
Visited for lunch with a few work colleagues, my first time in a five guys. The place was very clean and the staff friendly and keen to take our order. The food was cooked well and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I would have preferred our food was on trays rather than all piled into a big bag when we were dining in. The portion size of chips was huge, luckily a colleague said to only order two the spicy fries and normal between us all and this was good advice as we didn’t eat them all. The milkshakes were good too. All in all it was ok, nothing to rave about and more expensive than some burger places.
We will come back to this restaurant for sure
Best burgers
Overrated burger bar. Service quite slow as usually very busy. Not really value for money, although still popular with others.
Its not what it used to be
One thing Five guys used to do well was give plenty of Fries. That seems to be not the case. With prices now more than they competitors the five guys is not competing on value or taste.
Always a great option, my suggestion is if you go as a couple, just buy a glass and some regular fries. The soft drink is refil and the potatoes are great. The bathroom is big and clean enough to fit in.
Amazing good and people
Problems with the payment with the card, they told me that the charge was denied so we paid with another card....then we saw that we had paid the bill with 2 cards. After about 20 minutes of arguing and pointing out their mistake they refunded us a payment. The manager of the restaurant is pompous and arrogant, we will never enter their place again!! I also recommend eating burgers in pubs... they are better and less expensive
Sure bet it was good as expected. Very well served with fries (too few perhaps). The service was quick and friendly. Usual decor again and a good number of seats.
Great food, clean place. Love the music and how much space there is. Toilets were clean and overall I am very happy with my visit!
Very tasty and you can choose the ingredients.
Normalillo
Extremely expensive burger, very mid. 2 burges with fries and 2 sodas 44£ no thank you
Thanks Marek for the great service!
Happy to enjoy the full service of this branch and specifically Suraj who is very great with customer service of British people.Mihqi is asounding as a manager and staff member
Even though it is a fast food chain, it has delicious burgers like a boutique burger joint. There really is enough to choose the cheapest and best food around the world. Potatoes are homemade and in large portions, ketchup and mayonnaise are unlimited and of high quality, as well as unlimited Coke alternatives, Dr. A great place with pepper and unlimited peanuts. The only criticism could be the toilets, its normal for such a busy area but they could be kept clean with a little more care. Thanks Five Guys!
Great food and great staff
Great food
Goodbye
Burger looks like they have been beaten with a hammer, but by god do they taste so good, and a large fries is enough for 2 people easy, drink will be needed if you got for the spicy fries
You get more fries than you order so always order a small portion
The place below is good if you want to have quiet seating with friends or family.
I was served quickly, and I received my food after a short wait. My cheeseburger was excellent along with my oreo milkshake.
Mainland Five Guys. I ate a cheeseburger. Great taste of fried potato
Me and my mum were in a toss up between Five Guys and German Doner Kebab. I was ok with either but she originally wanted to go German Doner Kebab but she was put off so we had to go to Five Guys. Vegetarian options: Chips Dietary restrictions: No peanut allergy sufferers allowed Parking: Obviously theres no parking it is in central London Kid-friendliness: They allow kids Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs can get in and theres a disabled toilet on the ground floor
Amazing food
Clean and tidy. The toilets were very clean. Great food. Food
Amazing people, amazing manager
Really amazing food
They are really professional for hamburgers. Peanuts are always perfect
The only reason I gave 2 stars... is... I ordered 2 burgers 1 fries and 2 milkshakes... £39.98... 5 guys is here for the higher end consumer... a 1 off place to take the kids.. imagine a family of 4... that will run into the £100s
WARNING: Exchange rate for foreigners here is extremely high. We felt quite scammed.
Amazing service thanks and food . Thanks Natalia
The best milk shake ever
Falling in love with Five Guys. Everything is just perfect again on this visit. Thanks everyone. Food : 5/5
I loved!
Bit of a wait for the burger but otherwise as expected
Vegetarian options: No vegetarian options available
absolutely worth every penny. super yummy and very filling
Good restaurant, nice behavior every staff, Fries is very good. Food
Good burger, overflowing fries. Peanuts
Loved it except that we found out American bacon is tough, the shop replaced our burger though !
I counted 4
Easy place with plenty of seating and nice restrooms, great burgers and convenient location
Simple fast food without all the mass marketing.
Food is great as always but the prices are going a bit crazy
Customer service is absolutely exceptional. Had a great dinner and great time. All the staff are amazing. Highly recommend!
Very good five guys in central London. Lots of seating and fast service. Milkshakes were fresh and delicious!
Bought a milkshake and it was very good as expected :)
Five guys is great. The quality of the food is good considering that it is fast food, it is a little expensive but the food is good. The smoothies are delicious, and you can also have as many peanuts as you want
This store was very spacious and had multiple restrooms, so it was very comfortable to use. It was my first time eating a hamburger, but it was extremely juicy and delicious! (However, your mouth and hands will be sticky, so wet wipes are a must.) The fries were also delicious, just like Macs crunchy fries. One is large for women, so its a good size if you can share half of it.
Very gut hamburger
Excellent burger, fast service, place was super clean. On the pricey side though, but hey thats London for you.
Fast food chain with soda refills, something rarely seen in Europe, many options, the well-seasoned fries stand out.
This one in London has great snacks like in the USA.
Bad shop. Besides being expensive, the taste of the burgers was unacceptable. The prices they list are without the tax, so in the end calculate + 20%. Also, soft drinks 4.45 pounds! Service completely boring. Generally nothing good. I wouldnt go again.
I didnt eat there but I was shitting myself, I went in and luckily found the bathroom open. I got rid of everything and I thank them. 5 stars
Possibly this chain is the one that puts the best Bacon in its hamburgers.
Really good service and yummyyy hotdog and milkshakes!!
I went to this five guys late last night and we were going downstairs to meet our friends but the extremely rude guard put his leg in the way of the stairs so we couldn t go down, he started aggressively yelling and pointing at us and would not listen to us when we said our friends were down there but for some reason we wasn t allowed to go down. I messaged one of our friends who came to come get us and took us down. When we came up I realised I left my bag downstairs. He then wouldn t let me get my bag, MY PROPERTY. Just because he is misurable he loves to try make other people misurable but he instead gave us something to laugh at because him being misurable at us for no reason was funny despite being disgusting.
I don t understand why Five Guys burgers are so delicious. The clerk who took our order for 2 hamburgers and 2 colas for 50,000 won was unpleasantly unfriendly.
Vegetarian options: horrible choice. gave me the worst bowel movements of my life Food
The best! Which McDonalds, which Burger King, which what. You can make a tower if you want.
The food is amazing! Best burgers in London. Rio was the kindest
Friendly staff good food. Can get busy at times but seating area downstairs is usually empty and loads of seats
We called for a milkshake on a hot day in London. If the milkshake had not been so good the rating here would be poorer. The milkshakes took 25 minutes to be made, this had to be collected from a stand behind the main desk that we discovered by chance, it was disorganised and were initially given the wrong shakes. This was corrected but after a 25 minute wait we werenot very impressed.
If I could I would give it 0 stars
Visited on 30/07/2024. Must say: The server was very helpful! However: Cleaner approached my table, opened up my food bag. Had a poke with dirty gloved hand whilst holding broom and dustpan in other. This was whilst I tried to get cutlery of which there was none available at sauce/drinks area. I was few feet away. Complaints website does not work. After filling in country field it does not work beyond that. So can t complain! Tried contacting via reviews field and had unhelpful replies and denials my food bag was opened and touched. The opening of my food bag etc was denied. This is clearly not the case. Did they really look at CCTV as they said or just not being honest? I asked for this to be escalated to a serious complaint but they refused and said matter is dealt with. As much as I looked forward to having a meal there, I will not be going again to any Five Guys. I am very disappointed by the way Five Guys handled this matter. Disgrace!
Spicy fries were way too salty, everything was very good
Complaining is waste of time if your food is served on time.
Good, old reliable five guys.
Milkshakes are amazing
Hooked on the Peanut Butter shakes! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access Food : 5/5 |
Never been before, so I was unsure what to expect... I ordered a plain hamburg & got a plain hamburg. No lettuce, no tomato, no relish. Just bun & 2 meat patties & all for £9.95 . I doubt Ill be returning again. The server who took my order, never explained anything about the 15 free topping. She looked kinds bored, tbk.
Love it ....
Great food but too expensive
Overpriced food average quality and takes ages to be served in an atmosphere that is disgusting dinner from decades ago - you are going bust in the next few years what are we paying for seriously it s a one time purchase place
Five guys Covent Garden never disappoint me, the food was incredible, the staff member are really friendly and helpful, and Love their dedication to maintain the store clean without forgetting they have the most cleanest toilets of the central London, thanks so much Covent for making my family and myself so happy I highly recommend
This store is the first store outside of North America.
Restaurant prices but McDonalds type service.
The usual
The best hamburgers and hot dogs.
It seems like mad prices for fancy fast food (albeit in the city center) but the burgers are really, really nice and all doubled up. Fries are great, drinks are outrageously expensive but unlimited refills for soft drinks.
Taste of Americana in Englandia... saved us from coming anorexic or starving has the cuisine here is not known to be the best
A bit of chaos today. Otherwise good. Expensive
Nice place Clean Crowded Even have choices of bunless for more calorie saving
Descent Five Guys with two drinks machines, both upstairs and downstairs.
Delicious burgers and chips! Service was basic - cashless! Go there hungry or you wont be able to eat it all. Seating is below and toilets were decent.
Only brought milkshakes but the complimentary roasted monkey nut was a nice touch
Upmarket fast food restaurant. Loved the cheeseburger and homemade fries.free refill drinks as well Definitely not cheap though
Was OK.
Yesterday evening I had a fantastic culinary experience at this establishment. The chips were quite honestly some of the most flavoursome, succulent and perfectly salty chips I ve ever had. The spicy seasoning was perfectly balanced, combining both spice and herbs to add a new dimension to the flavour of the chips. The texture of the chips was also noteworthy, striking a perfect balance between a crisp outer skin and soft inner potato.
Top like every Five guys. Very good, fairly fast service, nice employees, and good atmosphere, no hubbub Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult
Love the food, the service, and the views of the street. 10/10
Just your standard five guys
The Five Guys Covent Garden is an address of a fast food chain. The place is well located and like this type of restaurant, the main advantage is the opening hours and the possibility of eating when traditional restaurants are closed. Nothing to do with known addresses, here the Burgers are prepared to order and can be personalized with 15 different ingredients. There are only ground meat burgers. There are of course fries (minute cooked), various drinks and milkshakes. Everything is prepared in front of you and the Burger is served hot. Have tried it, everyone will have their own opinion!
My cellphone was stolen in here.
Slowest and rudest service I ve ever experienced
The burgers are delicious and good, but the potatoes are cut and fried with their skin on, you can only have them as long as the drinks are finished. You can offer shelled peanuts and eat as much as you want.
Maybe the chain with the best burgers.
Normal
Swift great service, same as always. Nice burgers with the fillings you choose. Winning it!
The atmosphere is like in a FastFood restaurant. So dont expect any atmosphere. The burgers are really very good and much more real than in popular fast food places. And bigger. Fries . Note - do not run Large . You will get a bag of fries . Tasty, but the quantity is really scary
The burgers are good, the fries are outstanding and I love the huge drink selection
One more five guys, yes, this one has peanuts, which not all the ones in London have.
Love the milkshakes here!!
Cant go wrong with Five Guys. I ordered a hamburger and small fries. I like Five Guys because the quality is consistent. The bun is basic bread and not those sugar ones. I get to pick my filling, making it the healthier (for a burger chain) option. No fancy salty and sugar sauces, no burnt bits on my burger, basic and simple and tasty. Place is big with additional seating downstairs and pretty reasonable sizes toilets for this kind of location. Would come here again.
Bad
Busy restaurant but the burger was excellent
Always full of people. Vegetarian burgers are always good. Chips are freshly cooked Food
Very overpriced, had to wait near 5 mins after I got my burger for my shake. Burger was savage though. Food
Amazing service from Donia, such a sweetheart. Will definitely be back. Employee of the month worthy !
The place gets extremely crowded at meal times, with all tables taken and therefore people eating anywhere there s a flat horizontal surface, including on the bins and window ledges etc. Service is relatively fast in the context of those queues. The burgers are okay - better than a McDonalds or Burger King, but no Honest Burgers or artisanal burger. Location is very handy close to Covent Garden, however
My first time trying five guys and definitely worth the hype shop is super clean
Good service, good food.
Five guys never disappoints! love the milkshakes
Had a lovely experience at the shop in covent garden must say the hospitality provided and care by the staff is absolutely great. Thank you for your patience .
