Gourmet Burger Kitchen in London

Walked in with my partner to see what its like, got sat down quickly by a man who seemed happy to be there which is nice. They have these nice little tablets that you can order your food on so that comes in handy when you know quickly what you want. The food came after about 5-8 minutes, the thick chips were wonderful and so were the onion rings as theyre not soggy and mushy and coated in panko, the drinks were okay, nothing to really complain about and nothing extraordinarily good, and the homeslaw they have was quite nice as well. Unfortunately when it comes to the smash burgers they were bellow average with the patty not even being properly smashed as it was missing that crunch and crisp, to be fair it was practically a normal burger, in the end the gorgonzola didnt sit well with me but well thats more of a personal issue so if anyone like the cheese then go for it.

Burger bun was dry and stale, onion ring was hard, chips were cold and soggy, was like the food was sat there for ages. Worst part was I was getting a refund and noticed the chef picking at his eye or nose then flicking it on the floor as he stared at me from the kitchen. I mentioned this to the manager who was doing the refund and he says Im doing your refund you dont need to pick holes in the kitchen. More concerned about the 3 other customers hearing than fixing the issue. Rude staff with an attitude and even more rude grumpy manager that doesnt give care about the problems, no wonder so many 1 star reviews lately.

Disappointing Experience with Rude Management I visited GBK stratford with a reservation, expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the manager rudely told me and my friend to wait behind the line, despite having a reservation. It was awkward and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome. The manager s attitude not only soured our experience but likely scared away other customers as well hence why the restaurant was deserted. I won t be returning anytime soon. Save yourself the trouble!

Pretty disappointed- tried the new smash burgers - my burger was delicious but looked like it had been sat on! Not like the picture at all. My wife asked for no gherkins or onions and got both but had no bottom to her bun. No staff clearing the tables so we waited but no show, so we couldnt even raise the issues with them. Also had a birthday treat voucher (from gbk) that had apparently expired on my birthday! Had to argue to get something sorted. Overall, good food (mine), sloppy service and poor customer relations.

We were sat at a table that was occupied by another couple who had gone to the bathroom which led to confusion. We were given other people s drinks. Found a hair in my burger which my partner took back but the kitchen staff was hesitant to throw it away and we received no apology until the manager came out. Even then it wasn t sincere as he said this is the best we can do and left.

Ordered some food and it took a lot of time. Approximately 45 minutes for a burger. really disappointed, never gonna back again.

Worst service ever

I ordered a INCHS cider, it arrived very warm. Then I ordered a loaded fries and they were not loaded with any toppings, only 3 pieces of bacon and a drop of nacho cheese. I was forced to negotiate with the worker and tell him that it was in fact not like the picture, but after a small while he agreed to give me more toppings.

I have never experienced such a diabolical level of customer service which appears to be a standard offering from the GBK in Stratford (Westfield). On Sunday 20th October 2024, my partner ordered a takeaway for us in the evening, and by the early hours of Monday 21st October, we were faced with a crisis. My partner spent 4 hours straight sitting on the toilet seat shaking and vomiting into a bucket whilst having explosive diarrhoea. Inbetween that time, we had to balance my access to the toilet which was an absolute nightmare as I was suffering from intense stomach cramps and diarrhoea. As we ordered our meal via the UBER EATS app, we notified them to escalate our concerns. GBK responded via the app by offering £3 off our next order which was absolutely ridiculous. To make matters worse, we were due to travel to Greece for our holiday on Tuesday 22nd October, however we had no choice but to cancel our plans which resulted in additional costs. We contacted GBK directly and received a email from the General Manager at the Stratford branch. Despite providing details of the incident and requesting for a full refund and updates on our case, we have received no further communication from GBK. Our emails have been ignored and dismissed for the past 4 weeks, therefore we have escalated our case to Newham Councils food hygiene department for further investigation. We have never ever experienced anything like this and would not wish this on our worst enemy. I will never ever order food from GBK as they do not care about the quality of the food they supply to customers or delivering good customer service. Absolutely terrible.

Staff are extremely rude and incompetent. they treat all customers differently as they wish and have no respect for anything. Would highly avoid and hope this store receives some staff training ASAP.

I, and my partner and her friend, had a fantastic evening in the establishment. We ve eaten at GBK before but what made this experience better than all the prior times we ve gone was in major part due to Chris. We asked Chris if there was a table that could accommodate us in a corner, for some peace, as we just came from MCM Comic Con. I myself flew in for it and to be with my partner. With a smile Chris led us to a comfortable table in a corner, informed us how to order our food and left us at it. I m not going to go too much in to detail with the meal beyond that it was delicious, as is always the case. What elevated the experience, beyond the company that surrounded me, was Chris being very accommodating and all smiles to three really tired old nerds.

Food portion sizes gone smaller, less things in the burger. Smaller sauces too. Not much condiment options too. Very disappointed.

Delicious place for Burgers

I often ate here, Thought it was the best Stratford burger, and used to recommend it to my friends. But the burgers I ordered this time were the worst. The patties are thinning and very poor. This was no different from a fast food burger. The staff was unfriendly unlike before. Im so disappointed, so I wont visit again.

I visited on Friday night. Upon entering I asked if they are celiac friendly. A manager was called to talk to me and explained all the options clearly and was knowledgeable about cross contact. Turned away at 8:45 pm cause their closing time is at 9:30pm. There were no other clients and so they were not bothered to work!

I visit this GBK branch once every month as part of a big group. Their closing time is inconsistent so we get turned away if they close early, Theyre quick to serve us, and we usually enjoy it there. Theres something for everyone. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Unfortunately, theyve recently changed their loyalty scheme to only give free smash burgers that arent customisable and not vegan. Vegetarian options: Two vegan burgers. No vegan shake options

The put peanut butter in my burger without letting me know and it did NOT give an option to take it out at all and l asked to replace it and it wouldn t let me!

Food was alright, the wings dont really hold any real flavour, so the sauces do most of the work.

I was there with my friend for a dinner , and we ordered two burgers and a vanilla shake , its takes almost half an hour to get our food and the food was not tasty , the only thing I like there is the vanilla shake

Lots of deals, so hamburgers are pretty cheap with Really good ones and good variations! The food comes quick to your table. The service is excellent most of the times, with lots of smiley faces. Ive been there 4 or 5 time and I really like it. Is not over priced (many chains are) and you get free unlimited peanuts! Update 2024: Came here last night, today all day with stomach aches since the morning. Rations are also smaller. But I saw something not great: in the kitchen I saw someone spraying anti-bacterial cleaning product extremely close to the food toppings. Is impossible that no chemical went into the food. Is this why I had horrible stomach problems for two consecutive days right after eating here?

Asked for Burger with no mayo and got burger with mayo. Chips still hard and wait time of 20 mins. When only 3 groups in restaurant. They did offer to re do my burger and told me it would only take 5 mins this time not 20 so not sure why we had to wait so long the first time. When I refused I was given 2 x £10 voucher but as I wont come back they dont really help.

Fantastic burgers. I was enjoying the food. I still remember that taste of the best burgers in the town. Been there twice and looking forward to try sth again.

Food was terrible, a cold soggy pile of bread and meat. Ordered a smash burger, receieved a regular burger. Didnt reveive my drink, wasnt checked back on so i left and bought my dinner at 5 guys instead. I also witnessed a short white man in a suit, who i assume is the manager, berating and swearing at his staff on the dining floor which was really unpleasant and uncomfortable to experience whilst dining out. The shop floor staff looked miserable and exhausted also.

Drinks took forever to arrive, they need more staff on the floor. One to serve drinks, one to wait around the tables and one to escort to tables, and two to serve food. the burgers were being made quite quickly so people in the kitchen were clearly working fast but the shop floor people were extremly slow. customers next to us were also complaining about drinks and left unhappy. poor service overall. wouldnt come back

Very overpriced - I paid £11.50 for this sad-looking burger (Korean BBQ chicken). It tasted quite nice but disappointed with the lack of fillings. And you had to pay for fries separately - when you get such a poorly filled burger and pay that price, you d expect chips in the price. Won t be returning as there s plenty other better burger places around. No atmosphere either, very quiet. Doesn t meet the title of Gourmet at all!

I visited this place yesterday and must say that atmosphere was horrible, never experiened this in my life before! Manager screaming in front of us at his employees when restaurant is obviously short staffed. Just a quick reminder: should be grateful that you have at least someone working for you!

On the second floor of the Westfield-Stratford ahopping center. You have several different burgers you can choose, including a couple of vegan and vegeterian options! Then you can customize your burger, including how many patties you want, how you like your patty cooked (medium to well-done) and other extra contents. As for the burgers, they were ok... just ok. Not the worst I have had, but defintinitly not the best!

My visit to GBK on Saturday was terrible. The restaurant was packed so understandably, the food took longer than expected. We received our food 50 minutes after we ordered. Halfway during our wait, we ordered an additional side. When our first order arrived, it was cold and half the size the burgers at other GBK branches I ve visited were. We had to wait another 45 minutes for our other order before I went to complain. I waited in the queue behind 3 other people who were complaining about waiting for their food for between 50 mins to 1.5hrs! We decided to leave at that point. In the future, the manager should at least warn customers of the expected wait time rather than just sitting customers down. However, we did have a lovely staff member who apologised for our wait.

I ordered a classic burger medium cokeed, and I could only taste the burned on my bread, bacon, and beef patty. I just wasted £12.50.

Food was pretty good and came out quickly. Washrooms needed to be cleaned and there was no soap on ladies or mens.

Yesterday we visited your establishment, we ordered 5 burgers and one of them was with old spoiled meat, which smelled terribly. The manager assured us that the meat smelled like onions and was not spoiled, although it was clear that this was not true. We didnt eat that burger, but the other burgers that didnt stink did, and it was a big mistake because one member of our group has been in bed all day today with stomach cramps and food poisoning

I visited Stratford GBK, couple of days before with my group. The staff asked us about allergens and suggested us few burger options. They have good halal options with vegan burgers as well. The atmosphere is also good with very fast service. Nice options of bottomless drinks Strawberry elderflower is one of my favourite. I would like to recommend this place.

I came here with a large group of friends. The service was very helpful, polite and efficient.

We received our food quickly, but the drinks were missing and took at least another 10 minutes to arrive and my father had to go get them. The staff wasnt helpful at all. Additionally, my sweet potato fries took so long to arrive that I had already eaten half of my burger by the time they did.

Hadn t been to GBK in some years. I remember it being alright, though. Recently came here on a date night and it exceeded expectations. I doubled up on the Taxi Driver which was delicious and my partner was very satisfied with the cheeseburger also. Fries were simple and importantly, well-seasoned. Good, simple food done right at fair prices. Service was smooth and smiley. Ambience was pleasant too. Would return. Dietary restrictions: They also have a whole gluten-free menu.

Overpriced £11.50 for a small chicken burger. Chicken was hard and lack of flavour.. Its was so plain!! Portion of truffle chips barely has any truffle sauce for £6! First and last time in this place...service was disaster, staff has not clue of what they are doing...I felt robbed by the price and the quality of food..

best burgers in Stratford

The food was really good and the deals that were on were fantastic. Kids eat for £2 with a full paying adult and they had sides for 3 for £10. The customer service was disappointing. Some of the staff just didnt seem too bothered and not even said anything when we asked for refills. I ended up going up to them as they werent taking any notice of us even though we were waving to them from our table. I could understand if it was really busy but it wasnt too bad when we were there. Its our local GBK so we will probably be back but I hope that the customer service in this restaurant improves!

I ordered potatoes, but it took a long, very long time

The food is great. My favourite burger place in London to be honest. I love how they cook it medium-rare. Also the selection of side dishes is amazing. That being said, the waiting time is usually long.

Great burgers from here, was glad to see that they ask you how well done you want your burger and they actually made it well done, a kind member of staff also sorted out a refund when I accidentally ordered an extra burger, so thank you!

I went here for a dinner and the service was quick and the staff friendly. Good Vegan options on the menu.

I ordered the rocketman burger and a bottle of coke on a sunday that wasnt too busy. I was really thirsty and the coke only arrived once the burger arrived. It wasnt even real coke either; it tasted too much like soda water. The burger arrived 25 mins after i ordered and it was not worth the £12 i paid for it by itself. It ultimately was just a beef patty, cheese and rocket with very minimal flavour to note. That was a waste of £15.60.

Sent me a promo voucher for a 50% food discount. T&C didnt tell anything about the locations where I could use it. So we came to the place, but I couldnt redeem the voucher neither on the web nor in the app. Then I was told that the voucher cant be used at this location. Awful experience and customer service. They spam you with the vouchers you cant use. Also, the venue wasnt busy but we waited for our food for about 40 minutes. Update: contacted them directly via email and didnt receive any response.

Permanently lost a customer. I waited 20 minutes which had a queue of 10 people with the restaurant half empty, filled with dirty tables. I then had to queue again to order my food, which took another 20 minutes. The staff messed up my order which was as simple as it gets: just a burger with blue cheese and chips. The burger came overcooked. I had to bring it back to the kitchen myself and ask for a new one. The new one didn t have the cheese on it. I didn t get my drink so I went to the bar and asked for it myself. I got it in the end. The meal was pathetic. For £3 for a side of chips, I got about 10 chips, which have been cooked a looong time ago. I left the meal hungry. So many corners are cut with staffing, quality, the method of ordering and design. No wonder the Nando s is packed and this isn t. I m never coming back. Waste of £11.50 and an hour of my time.

Really disappointed I ve been going to GBK for years and really cannot fault the food but the service in this branch is terrible I had to wait a long time to be seated when the restaurant was empty! I have to order at the till as o have dietary requirements this also took to long considering there was only one person in front of me I then waited far to long for my food and then had to ask for my drinks long after my food had arrived, when I wanted my drink refilled I had to resort to going to the bar myself! Poor service guys you need to do better!!!

Disappointing Experience at GBK Restaurant I recently dined at GBK Restaurant and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. From start to finish, there were several issues that severely impacted my enjoyment of the meal. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow. It took an unacceptably long time for our orders to be taken and even longer for our food to arrive. Additionally, getting drinks was a nightmare as it seemed the staff were more focused on other tasks rather than attending to customers needs promptly. Furthermore, the customer service was lacking. Not once did any staff member inquire about our dining experience or if we needed anything. It felt as though we were invisible to them. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also subpar. Tables were left dirty, and it was evident that they hadnt been properly cleaned between customers. This lack of attention to cleanliness is unacceptable, especially considering the current hygiene concerns. To make matters worse, there was no one available to address our concerns or doubts. It seemed like everyone was in a rush, with no staff members willing to take the time to assist customers or address any issues they may have had. Overall, my experience at GBK Restaurant was extremely disappointing. The slow service, poor customer service, lack of cleanliness, and absence of staff availability made for a frustrating dining experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to others and am unlikely to return in the future.

Food was very tasty and reasonable price. My baby spilt the milkshake and Libin didn t hesitate to give us another milkshake , very good customer service will definitely return.

Worst service ever, do not visit this place. I had the worst experience over here . The food took too long to arrive and the drinks took even longer , it only came after I had finished my food and was about to leave none of the staffs came to check on the food or drinks and they were taking in people to uncleared tables and cleaned them while we were sitting there. Even though it wasn t that busy. The fries were cold and when asked about it they didnt give me any reply. Overall a disaster of an experience.

I recently visited GBK stratford with my family, it was a horrible experience. I m a regular GBK customer for a long time in the stratford, O2 and St.pauls branch and it was a shame to know that this branch is making their milkshakes in a different way and it tastes really different from the milkshakes I had from their other branches recently. Also cola drinks were very less in quantity for 3.40 quids which is from the tap and it tasted flat. The food was okay but the waiting time was so long for drinks and food that we havent received our food even after we where done with our drinks. The guy was just taking people inside without even clearing the tables. It is very dissapointing that GBK is providing this kind of service. The restaurant seemed to be severely understaffed and constant changes in the management is leading to inconsistencies in the quality of standards and services. I hope the GBK management would take some actions for these situations. I would never be coming again to this branch.

Food was terrible and the service is almost nonexistent as you have to ask for everything including simple things like a napkin and cutlery. Burger was under seasoned, burnt and swimming in oil till the point the bun fell apart as soon as i picked it up. Anaemic chicken wings. Dirty water glasses. Sticky tables.

Im giving 3 stars because the person I suppose was the manager and the girl at the till were nice, but everything else was quite disappointing. The portion of the chips for the meal deal was terrible, I could count them on my hands . Things have changed, the burger wasnt that tasty, at least not as I remember. Gbk used to be amazing, but I guess those times have come to an end. You dont get what you pay for in any way. Please tell the host to smile and communicate with people, as a host hes supposed to welcome you and make you feel comfortable, but he seemed lazy, bored and pissed altogether. He didnt even explain me how to order. Bless the girl at the till that was trying to do by herself a job that was meant to be for 3 people minimum. You should be embarrassed to bring to the table such ridiculous portions.

Chefs should learn how to cook meat. I ordered medium and got it well done. It wasn t first time. Burgers taste pretty good but chefs definitely should improve cooking skills.

Im sorry but this is absolutely the worst food ive ever received. One dry overcooked burger with no sauce, not a single slice of lettuce on some dry bread?! The salad I ordered separately was about 3 brown leaves of lettuce in a disgusting sauce. Im honestly speechless.

I used to go here years ago, but since then I have had Uber Eats deliver food from here on a some rare occasions. In the beginning, this place was generally quite good, with an open kind of setting and plenty of tables of various sizes available. I liked the moody and dull lighting, and it was fun to sit down and share a few peanuts or something. It is quite expensive to eat here and in recent years I have not been able to justify the expense, so I don t eat here much now, but I used to enjoy that it wasn t as busy as places like Nando s, and one could just sit and relax with a bunch of friends and not be in a hurry to leave. Of course, it all depends on when you visit because I am sure there are times when it gets busy (such as the weekend), but on an ordinary weekday, this place has plenty of tables available. The place looks clean and well maintained, so one can relax and not worry about the place being filthy. As for the food, there is a good selection of burgers and they are cooked to taste (medium, well done etc), and there are also vegan options. The food is well cooked and pleasant but for the price, one cannot expect any less really. Having said that, I am disappointed that the buffalo burger is no longer available as it is a leaner meat, and somewhat healthier than the beef burgers they serve. That was my favourite burger, and it is disappointing that those seem to be off menu now. They have different types of fries as well, and I used to like their sweet potato ones, which were nice and crispy, and make a great change from the usual fare. Their milkshakes are worth trying because for my money, they beat a lot of similar offerings from other restaurants. While there are other restaurants in the centre, I think this offers a nice break and is tucked away neatly on the top floor, away from the bustle and bustle of other parts of the mall. Since most people probably visit the place occasionally, it is worth the money. I have not been in the actual restaurant for years, but I have ordered food from here on a few occasions using Uber Eats, as an occasional treat, and I must remark, the quality of the food is still high and their milkshakes are truly great. In the end, it is quite expensive for a burger joint and Stratford has no shortage of them. McDonalds is on the lower ground floor and is cheaper. The Burger King is in the old Stratford Mall right outside Westfield. There is also Wendy s, KFC and another McDonalds at the Broadway, and although GBK offer premium burgers, I think the other restaurants beat them on price, so if you don t have the money to spare, I think there are some good alternatives. I am cutting down on burgers and fries so for me, GBK is Ok for an occasional treat, but if you like burgers and fries more often, your wallet will thank you for choosing an alternative outlet for your burger fix. I think the premium Burger King Burgers give GBK a good run for its money because they are cheaper and l most as good, so be mindful of your options. Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian/vegan options for those who don t eat meat. Parking: Since this restaurant is based within the Stratford Westfield mall, you can park in the mall, but there is a charge for the parking. The old Stratford Mall also has a parking lot, and costs less, so if people don t mind walking from there, that might be another suitable alternative. I know some people park at the Morrisons supermarket and though it is a long walk, parking is cheaper there. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is suitable for children, and tables are nice and spacious, allowing parents to park their prams nearby. There are also child seats available, and I think they even provided some colouring pages for the children.

I had a birthday here and I LOVE it, delicious Korean fried chicken burger on special menu thing and even though there were at least 10 people at the party the service was still quick, but the lighting and the arrangement of seating doesnt match the atmosphere.

Came here (Gbl Stratford city) with family. Been to many of these restaurants. This was by far the worst experience. 5pm and out of skinny fries. I asked the waiter as ordering on the app. He went to check with kitchen and then I had to go and find him, and he had forgotten to come and tell me it was out. Table for 6 people had 4 napkins and 3 forks. Food came before the drinks. Music intermittently very loud for no reason. My medium well burger was more than well done, my family were happy with theirs. Just generally poor all round and won t come to this branch again.

Great burgers! Fantastic service!

We have yet to have a bad meal here, even when on one visit our order was messed up it was still an enjoyable meal. The ordering system on the app works well and isnt over complicated, the staff work hard and my only complaint hence 1 star off was that the ladies loo was in less than good condition, probably because the staff are too busy elsewhere so not a complaint against them. We keep returning and hope when we move that theres one near where we are going.

was a good meal out and friendly service. food came quick and warm. the let down was all the salads in the birgers were not available - yet the price was not discounted or the missing items were not subtitued. on top of that adding jelepenos still incurred cost which put a downer on the experience Vegetarian options: few burger selections available -3 set options or make your own Kid-friendliness: has kids activities to keep little one busy. My first visit to Gourmet Burger Kitchen at Westfield,Stratford Good experience. Labeeb served us with great customer focus and very friendly. Fast delivery of food and enjoyed the visit.

Went with my mate but it wad really late so the place was quiet. Great food. Friendly staff and service. Only thing I speak for alot of members of rhe community, your prices are ridiculous, if anyone pays 13 pounds for a burger. Which tastes amazing by the way. It should come with chips atleast.. Would love to return but not for that price.. would love to know if your menu gets adjusted.. please share and like if you agree. Thanks. I love this chain, and would definitely visit GBK elsewhere but never in Stratford Westfield again. The person taking the order at the till was lovely, but one of the servers was so bad at his job its completely put me off visiting again!! I went with a friend and we ordered 2 starters and 2 burgers, and whilst most of the dishes came, I was still waiting on my burger. I noticed there was a burger (which had been placed on the counter at the same time as the other dishes, just left there) and the server was just stood there looking aimlessly, doing nothing, so I asked him if it was possibly mine. He rudely didnt even answer or say anything at all and just walked over to the counter and computer. Logically, I thought he was checking if it was mine, but then he started talking with a friend for a minute, and pointing at me. He then went back to his spot near the order till and continued to stand there doing nothing! At this point, I said to my friend, well I was wrong, its clearly not mine ... but NO, after he had decided I had waited long enough and he could be bothered to carry the plate over, he then brought over the burger from the counter which had just been sat there. The worst thing is, -- there was no actual reason for him to wait around 6/7 mins, after I had also asked and he wasnt busy. And nor did he provide any explanation or even apology. I was so confused! This was hands down one of the worst experiences in a restaurant I have ever had!! If you want good service, after paying over £25 for a burger, fries, soft drink and 3 chicken tenders I might add, then DO NOT come here!!!

GBK Stratford offered a delightful dining experience with excellent food. Service by Tarikul was top-notch - professional and attentive, making our visit memorable. Highly recommend for great food and outstanding service.

Basically what youd expect in another GBK. The food is good value but its amazing. The staff here were incredibly slow and had a poor attitude. Atmosphere is odd as its very open and sparse.

I arrived at GBK with great anticipation, preparing for a pleasant lunch. As a result, I ordered a hamburger and the beef I ordered was well done, but both were grilled steaks. The meat was bitter and difficult to swallow. It was a terrible day

Bought the so called special cajun burger it was rank ....literally a smear od coleslaw Nd about two small diced mango pieces, which consitute salsa. What made it worse the manager was less than effective...avoid if I were you

Came here late on a Sunday when most other restaurants in Westfield were closed. My classic beef burger was quite lovely and the service was prompt.

OMG moorish

Went there a few months ago back in May. I was in a rush on a work lunch, the food was served pretty quickly. They only halal option was the chicken burger, so i opted for it with some steak chips. The chicken was breaded and tasted ordinary, nothing special. The chips however was really good. I had to ask for condiments such as salt and pepper. I also asked for tap water with ice which was served without forcing me to buy a bottle of water like other establishments do. Overall it was a good experience, nice and quiet in the restaurant too. The burger im not so sure i liked it, however it wasnt bad. Chips i thoroughly enjoyed though, overall 3/5.

We always seem to go back here when going to Stratford, its right at the back of the food hall so its not as busy as some others but we love it, the burgers are cooked to order and all the better for it, lovely sweet potato or chunky chips to go with it and the best onion rings around all topped of with a lovely thick shake, recommend

This place is looking and feeling distinctly uncared for, nay rundown. Toilets dirty, tables uncleared, food under cooked. We may have made our last visit.

Food served burnt and cold. Not busy in the restaurant yet we waited 30/40 mins for food. Slow service. When confronted about the burnt food, they were defensive rather than understanding. Seems like new management, explains potentially the service.

Food was good; we had burgers including classic cheese, classic chicken and taxi drivers. Decor is little old now and needs updating. Our table was so wobbly that using knife and fork was a risky business. Coke in a glass bottle though, made us forgot about the table and brought back child hood memories. Staff is ok - not really friendly but not rude at the same time. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps

I m not sure they know the difference between well done and burned burgers

It was disappointing. I assume they were short on staff or the staff they had were incompetent. There was one person (I assume the manager) who was greeting, taking orders and pouring drinks while the rest of the staff just wandered around like zombies. The food came before the drinks - which would never have come had we not reminded the manager. Ordinarily this would have been so/so but unfortunately, some of the patrons kicked off and started swearing quite loudly and accusing the staff of racism which just ruined the atmosphere a bit, it didnt improve much after security turned up - the two ladies should be ashamed of themselves. I felt bad for the staff as they were having to deal with a lot but it just soured the evening for us.

Such a let down, this place was our go to- new management, the service extremely slow. These guys really need to work on customer services. They take way too long to process orders, as well as not being informed that the skinny fries have changed, also still water was sold out on an extremely hot day. Won t be coming back !

No where near as good as when it first opened. Awful. The servers were very polite and efficient, and my burger ok the Korean BBQ Chicken. But lacking in atmosphere, attention to detail and care of hygine. It is a very big restaurant to fill. I didnt get the sense anyone really managed the place. Lacked leadership.

Had to wait 15 waits for drinks, had to walk to counter asking for the drinks after ordering them & paying for them. This was very poor service. Staff are generally nice, Very quiet during a lunch time period. Nothing to how it was a few years ago. Ordered the advertised jerk chicken burger, was very disappointed when it first arrived, looked very burned as could see from picture, however after eating it, was very nice.

Lamentable product and service would not come back or try another GBK ever. Staff offered an opportunity to resolve cold chicken issue but just said sorry! Is it lack of training or greedy owners just milking a captive audience ?

After eating here today I am appalled at the absolute abysmal service and quality of food was appalling.

I ordered medium rare beef burger, but it was rather well done. Burget itself was okay. There was an incident where bar lady dropped one bottle and some small amount was on the customer shirt. Nothing special, but customer overreact and there was 3-4minutes shouting and customer wanted to fight with the lady. I expected that security will come and solve the issue, but security was called in the late phase and when they arrived, customer already left. I admire that bar lady was confident and didnt scare that dude, but problem handling wasnt so fast.

Gourmet? No way! The Stratford branch was an absolute disappointment. The attempt to appease by offering a free drink afterwards was pathetic. 4 burger meals ordered with fries/chunky chips. All fries and chips were barely warm. This is terrible. How can you get that wrong? Do you make them in the morning for the whole day? Californian (Veg) burger was not good. Why did it have a smokey taste? There are no smoked ingredients. The cheese is awful. I would have been happy to replace the Vegan cheese but there was no option. Korean Chicken (naked) was cold. How? This is sacrilege. Might as well sack the chef. The Beyond Burger and Jerk Chicken burgers were acceptable and enjoyed. Still not at their optimal temperatures. GBK - at those Burger prices, i am sure you can afford slightly larger buns for the clients! Service and the ambience was bearable.

Went here on a whim! The food was amazing and all I can say is I miss the shoestring fries they used to do! But other than that love the burger options! Vegetarian options: Lots if choices for veg because you can turn any burger into a veg option!

Most GBK sites are good, but not this one. Food was cold and I had to ask twice to get my fries. With so much competition around them, they need to lift their game.

Quiet on a Tuesday evening, but didnt have any french fries. Didnt have 2 out of 3 of the non meat burgers. Sweet potato fries were over cooked and not crispy, not seasoned. Not my favourite and not at its best.

Went to this place in Stratford. The place only had about 10-12 customers at most and the guy sat us at a table next to the entrance. We asked for a different table and he said there cleaning the tables but everyone else was seated in the middle of the restaurant as they came in. Pathetic customer service

Food was awesome , I tried the mighty burger. Staff was so friendly Suhail , Nabeeb. Best place to hangout with friends and family. Dietary restrictions: Staff asked for allergens. and It s something most other restaurant staff didn t ask especially in shopping malls.

Stopped here for bite to eat in the evening after session in Westfield. Ordering - downloaded app but would only work for ordering in or reserving table (Android). Had to have iphone for ordering app. Went to counter to order and took ages, because staff no speak English (not even the basic words on the menu). Table was too small for 2 plates of food, the decor, condiments, side salad, 2 drinks etc. Had to ask for milk with tea. Tea was cold. Regular burger & chips was ok. Chicken burger - most of chicken was overcooked and cold, as were the sweet potato fries. Waitress got annoyed when called over - but we just wanted salt & pepper (which with other sauces are hidden behind bar/till area!). Manager did offer us replacement for fries, but wed had enough by then. Went to Greggs, got some more edible food & hot tea and sat & ate in general eating area (with large tables!) before making our long train trip home.

Wait time was ridiculous, food took forever to come out and was not hot! The food does not look how it is advertised- Korean fried chicken burger, I may as well have cooked it at home! Waste of money. We also ordered some halloumi which never arrived so had to wait for a refund as it was bought through the app! Would not revisit.

Small burgers with not even some salad on the side and high prices. The staff spot cleaned the tables after customers left, didnt even wipe the whole table off. The burger itself was very mediocre. While we were leaving, I noticed a lady from the staff in the kitchen handling food with bare hands. Had I seen it sooner, we wouldnt have stayed!

GBK used to be great. The extensive burger menu they used to have is now much smaller. The £7 lunch special isnt worth it - the burger is tiny and ours were overcooked. We werent asked how wed like our burgers cooked. The Garlic Mayo is awesome. Half price cocktails until 5pm are decent too - £4 for a cocktail is cheap, especially in London. As for atmosphere - the place was pretty empty; atmosphere was lacking.

They do good burgers. However, it feels like the size of the burgers have decreased whilst the price has only increased, which is a shame.

This place has gone rapidly downhill since Covid. First their blue cheese burger sauce turned rank now their milkshakes that cost £5.75 are more watery than a frijj shake. No one in here. No atmosphere. And slow service. I can t see it lasting more than a year I won t be going again. Which is a shame as I used to love it

Queued to get in. No one came to seat anyone. Eventually guy at front went up to waiter and pointed out the loooong queue. Another water eventually seated them and wandered off. It was only half full inside. Been GBK before and really like the food but the service at this one is appalling.

I always come here when in Westfield but today was a terrible experience. Waited over 20 minutes and had to ask waiter to bring drinks, literally arrived right after a food did. The waiter didn t order an extra portion of fries so had to go back to the counter to get another portion. The food quality is lacking, feels like the ingredients are cheaper and the flavour is lacking. You guys had such a unique touch with the hei hei salt and monkey nuts, shame you got rid of it. Such a shame it s gone downhill.

Burger was luke warm. Chunky chips OK. Sides of: truffle chips OK, wings OK, hallumi too salty. Boston lager was nice but not filled to top of pint glass, always annoying.

Very nice staff but shame about the food. The burger is not fresh and definitely not freshly made. The chips are soggy and feels like stale. I wont go back there.

I was appalled with the service I received here, I am a type 1 diabetic which means I can t have sugary drinks only sugar free, I ordered a Coke Zero and sugar tested it when it arrived and it came back it had sugar in, I didn t mind as mistakes happen and this is why I test my drinks, I politely went to the bar and apologised for being difficult, explained my situation and asking for a new drink to be made. The woman was rude and said that wasn t what I ordered but she will make it for me this time, she then proceeded to make it in the same glass which I politely asked if she could not as this still had leftovers of the sugary drink, she seemed annoyed about this. She then poured me a new drink in a new glass and proceeded to say to me try it, I said I will just have to test it first and she said in an abrupt manner no taste it now and was forced to drink it. I ve been in this situation many times and never had this sort of rude reaction, and I m appalled that I was spoken to in such a manner in regards to a health condition.

Good burger place - service was quite quick. Just note that if you want the student discount, dont use the app (as the menu suggests) it doesnt work. You need to pay at the till and show your student card there.
