1A Romford Rd, London E15 4LJ, United Kingdom
Bright, contemporary rooms offering free Wi-Fi, plus a trendy restaurant & a relaxed bar.
Some staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I was given a room key for a room that was already occupied and ended up walking into a couple's private moment. |My tv failed to connect to the Internet and the cleanliness of the room was poor. The policies of the hotel are unfriendly as our group couldn't eat together. Security was non-existent and as a woman left me feeling vulnerable especially when room keys could be handed to the wrong person.
Be very wary when you check in -reception staff very keen to get you to pay again!|Despite paying in full before we went and having an email to show this the reception staff stated we hadn't paid. Then said we had changed the booking the day before - we hadn't we had only checked in online as requested. Still wanted further full payment for the room.|Finally gave us the room key but 40 mins later member of staff came to our room -again stated we hadn't paid!|I showed him again and the payment details -finally agreed that not had been paid.|Very embarrassing situation and un-necessary.|No real apology|Wouldn't use Ibis again if this is how they treat people who have paid up front!
Just had a wonderful stay at Ibis Hotel Stratford . The hotel’s location couldn’t have been more convenient, making it easy to explore the city and get around without any hassle. The rooms were comfortable, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials to make the stay enjoyable.||But what really stood out was the service! The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. Whether it was a quick recommendation for nearby dining or just a warm greeting, the team made me feel welcome every step of the way. The two outstanding players were Mithaly and Mariya. The hotel is connected to Nandos and many more Restaurants where you can walk around. Will definitely come back. ||Would highly recommend this 4-star gem for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located stay with top-notch service. Looking forward to my next visit! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 #HotelReview #Travel #Hospitality #London #UK #Hotels
Small hotel ,welcoming, one person manning the 24 hr reception at any time . ||Breakfast was on till lunchtime over the bank holiday (not sure if that runs as a permanent fixture) and was a good selection of full English, cereals , fruit yogurt and small selection of pastries . We did find it odd that the dining area is basically in the reception area but it doesnt effect you dining because it didn’t appear to get busy. ||Complimentary earplugs are offered as the hotel does face a busy road and sirens and general traffic can be heard thru out the night . ||Room was basic but overall good , shower was decent. However we noticed after being out all day and most of the evening that when the cleaners had been in all|They had appeared to do was make the bed ,give fresh towels (albeit only one) and wipe the sink and floor in bathroom . |No extra tea bags or milk were left (i always take my own) and the dressing table still had a spillage mark from when we arrived. ||Husband also had to put back some slats on the bed that kept coming loose during the night . ||Its was cheap considering bank hols and its a short walk to shops and trains
Totally enjoyed my stay here. Service was great though found the rooms to be a little too small although functional. Love the proximity to the train station. Definitely recommend.
I had a great stay at the Ibis Hotel Stratford in London. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the staff were really friendly. It's super convenient, with easy access to the train station and nearby shopping. Definitely a solid choice for a comfortable and affordable stay in London.
Good stay here in August. The rooms were comfy and the lobby was nice and spacious with the bar being directly connected to the reception desk. Only about an 8 minute walk from Stratford station as well. Staff help and pleasant during the stay.
This was a terrible experience. The air conditioning didn't work properly. I had to put wet towels on my kids so they could sleep. Both of our rooms had horrible air conditioning. Another guest was in the lobby at 2 am because he was also too hot. The service was terrible. I do not recommend this place.
I also have a good breakfast, but the number of dining tables is a bit small Rooms: Very clean and fully equipped Nearby activities: A fairly short distance from the center Safety: The neighborhood has a very diverse population and there were several fights that weekend. Walkability: Fine Food and drinks: Sufficient variety and good quality
Ideal location for the ABBA voyage concert. Plus a Weather Spoons pub just around the corner.
Had a night stay and also with other places in London, Wales and Liverpool, slept like a baby, so comfy the beds excellent and also the view.
Good value
Stayed for work. Rooms smelt of damp, the shower pod occasionally flooded. The rooms were small and pokey and the air conditioning didnt work. The air flue was blocked up anyway with months if not years of fluff. Sometimes quite noisy. There was a metal rail came off in my hand in the bathroom, but l had no idea what it was for so l put it back.
Very basic hotel with no amenities provided. Even no Intercom! But location is very nice and so as the rent.
Very neat, cozy atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and helpful. They also assisted store my luggage for me at no cost . It s very close to Nandos restaurant Rooms: Clean and cozy Walkability: 5 mins walk to Westfield shopping complex and Stratford station Noteworthy details: Close to Westfield shopping complex , Stratford station bus and rail
Nice Personal nice Room nice Breakfast
Rooms pleasant and clean. Breakfast was busy but plenty and hot. Couple of staff members a bit grumpy and unhelpful Rooms : 5/5
Good location for transport. Very courteous morning bar staff. Hot tea instead of a usual tepid infusion. Rooms : 4/5
Great hotel, staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.
Good experience
Clean room, excellent staff checked us in an hour early, 5 minute walk from train station
Basic rooms. The reception area and bar are merged so its a bit odd. The location is ok but a bit sketchy. Breakfast wasnt great and noisy outside of rooms
Air conditioning is fake. 27 in the room and it feels like a tropical rain forest and the windows dont open. Staff is non existent. Rooms: Small and HOT
Checked in midnight: they gave check out till 5pm. Nice funky rooms. Free cocktails: if u have time. We stayed in Moxy closer to stratford Station. Will stick with Ibis Stratford. Walkability: Ten to fifteen minutes walk to Stratford Station. Ambulate through shopping center if rain.
Not the worst, not the best. Room was a tad noisy. Breakfast was standard buffet, not great (but had worse. Staff didn t seem to be around much Walking distance from Stratford station & plenty of places to eat nearby. Rooms: A bit noisy Walkability: Easy walking distance from train station Food and drinks: Loads nearby
Great place to stay. And explore the city. Staffs are very friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed staying in the IBIS Stratford. Rooms : 5/5
Grubby and dirty. Would never stay here again.
If you dont have too high expectations, youre in good hands here. A solid hotel with a good location near Westfield City
Spot on for the evening out planned. A short walk. Parking in Morrisons is fine, only 2 mins away! Clean and a fabulous brekkies, thankyou! Rooms: All the same so you know what to expect! Clean, big enough and a lovely, well lit bathroom for make-up!! Nearby activities: Stratford Shopping Centre Food and drinks: Wonderful breakfast!
Good structure in a bad location. So much traffic noise cant be controlled by staff.
Very far
We stayed here to see Abba, super close to the Abba arena and train station which got us all over London. Rooms: Clean and bright rooms . Wonderful staff .
This hotel has acted as my second home for many years now. It is my go to place when I am working in the area and I stay here most weeks. I feel safe here. I am always made to feel welcome and as a regular left treats in my room which makes me feel unique and expected every time. The whole team are so professional. I must give a particular mention to Aida Walugembe the Front Office Manager who always makes time to chat and catch up, so lovely. The cleaning team are amazing too, so bubbly and always with a smile. I would certainly recommend the hotel to everyone. Rooms: Always clean. Great bedding. Safety: Door security and key access at night. Staff always prompt to respond to any concerns Walkability: Close to so many transport links.
Very gross out of my experience here. I dont know whether check out as soon as possible or what to do. The room has not even a phone to contact anyone. Having meetings the whole day. Rooms: Very dirty badly cleaned. Table very sticky and furniture very dusty Walkability: Corridor packed with cleaning bags and other stuff.
Unfriendly and unaccomadating staff apart from being a little pricey was a nice room Rooms: Good room, mattress a little hard thou
Clean rooms, in a very good part of London next to shopping and central train station, the price is very affordable and fully renovated rooms!! I highly recommend it!!!
Good hotel, very comfortable beds, quiet and very well connected, metro, train bus.... Recommended
Out of the center but close to the metro. Restaurants around the corner. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean rooms. Beds have a firm mattress. Food and drinks: Restaurants nearby.
Closeness to train station and bus routes and malls good. Food services also near by.
Nice
Had a great time The staff was very kind and helpfull Rooms
Great hotel, a bit out of the center. All amenities around the corner.
Simple but excellent hotel. Good beds. Clean and complete room with shower, large TV. Elevator available. Breakfast was next to the reception lobby, buffet with continental breakfast, complete and well cared for.
Great place and helpful staff Rooms: Excellent room, spotlessly clean. Rooms : 5/5 |
When we got there the staff took ages to come out from the office to the front desk they were all on their phones and talking. The food is terrible the scrambled eggs were overdone to the point that it was like powder and tasted like chestnuts. I came down to get a coffee an hour later and the food I d eaten was still on the table probably cos they were too busy on their phones to notice.
Rooms are nice but the smell of the hotel is terrible. There is a restaurant underneath and it seems like the smell of bacon is blown right into your room.
Excellent location near the metro/train/bus station and excellent breakfast
Bathroom was really dirty. Brown stains and random hairs. Would of mentioned this to staff the next morning but nobody there at check out.
Down-to-earth hotel, a good choice for London in terms of price/performance ratio - close to Westfield shopping center and the bus station to Stansted Airport
Very good
Good hôtel not far from City centre.
Very nice and decent. Rooms were clean and sanitary. Reasonable price. However theres no parking so you have to park in a morrisons which you have to pay for.
Nice place
Is a lovely hotel. Is in a very nice area. Clean bathroom. The shower area was clean .the bathroom was clean. Very comfy beds .My room was so clean.
Very poor service and cold rooms, I got allergic with there towels my whole body was in rash
5 minute walk to overground and unground line. Close to shopping complex. Room was spacious and modern. Clean and comfortable.
This hotel is very well designed and beautiful in inside but its too expensive
Very good, recommended accommodation. Its better to book rooms on the side facing away from the street.
Booked in and its close enough to the London Stadium, home of the West Ham massive, to stay. Not slept there yet, or had brekky but will update later. Rooms
So so
Very friendly stuff and a bit small but clean rooms
Efficient and pleasant hotel. More than 2 nights and lack of storage space could get annoying. No phone or fridge in the room. Good breakfast buffet. Rooms
Comfortable, clean, pretty
An affordable hotel to stay the night in a short 6-7 minute walk to the underground and train stations. The Room was great, 2 beds, a small yet comfortable bathroom and a plasma TV to watch some movies on. The service was great, with an English breakfast included. But it couldve been better, or personally not a fan of English breakfasts. Nearby activities: With a whole plethora of Bars, Pubs, Restaurants and a whole lot to explore, a great way to spend some quality time with family Safety: Stratford is made out to be a great wholesome place, but is in fact, much of the opposite, finding myself in the middle of street brawls and getting constantly begged by the homeless for money, or feeling threatened by nearby gangs. Not the best feeling. On the 3rd of 7 days. We even saw a poor sod getting his phone stolen by a man on a bicycle. Yeah not great.
It was a good hotel for the price we paid. I dont recommend using the hotel laundry, it is very expensive (wash, dry and FOLD) and the clothes take 2 days to come.
Location is very centrally located ,service is good and room were comfy , washrooms could have been more spacious but overall a decent good experience Nearby activities: Stratford had a great mall at a walking distance from hotel and lots of food places nearby so u can satisfy ur cravings
For a two-star hotel and London conditions, quite decent. The beds were clean and comfortable, the rooms were functionally furnished. Only the background noise from the backyard, which continues 24/7, is very disturbing. Sleeping with the window open is almost impossible. The smell that develops over time in the corridor between the hotel rooms is also very unpleasant. Maybe you should think about a ventilation option? The breakfast was completely fine. You sit in the voyage of the hotel, but I didnt find that annoying. All in all, for the price, a good hotel for a city trip.
OK for a budget hotel near to westfield and stratford international rooms basic but clean just dont eat at restaurant food appalling just microwaved, I should have guessed when no other guest ate in the restaurant. Rooms: Basic but clean
This was booked by my work for a job. I wouldn t book it through choice. Very basic, but charging £199 a room
Good
Great hotel anstaff well placed
Great place to stay, close to Stratford shopping centre and station
Rooms: Un desastre!!! Pequeñas, olor a moho, el baño olor a orina continuamente. No limpian las habitaciones ( cuando pedí que limpiarán, solo entendieron el edredón. Carísimo y sucio. No volvería ni gratis.
Nice little hotel close to Westfield shopping centre. Rooms were basic but well maintained. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming.
It is where it is, but it offers everything needed for a quick business trip
Good but with few options at the bar when you want to sit, mediocre beers and drinks and a lounge with seats that dont make you want to sit, Greek cafe chairs!!
Room adequate size and clean. Reception staff really helpful. Had 2 twin single beds pushed together as a double but the other mattress kept falling off the bed. Recommendation to ask for bed to be made as a double not individual singles. Good location to the Stratford shopping centres Rooms
Perfect place for a London stay Rooms: Comfy and warm Rooms : 5/5 |
Excellent location, average cleanliness, quiet room, excessive cost, its a hotel for one hundred pounds a night and instead we paid 600 for 3 nights even without breakfast, I understand that costs in the world have risen but here the rise was excessive.
Booked for my cousin on a business trip. I was impressed by one of the staff dedication and customer service. Thats what you need. It helped that she spoke French because my cousins English is basic.
Looks tacky and dated. Rooms very small
Super location, close to Stratford mall, clean rooms, friendly staff, but the beds where quite hard.
The tiny bathroom with a bad smell, no fridge in the room, the window only opens a little bit, the breakfast is the same for 6 days, nothing changed, no clothes closet. I had to keep them in my suitcase for 6 days. I will not go to an Ibis again all my life I was in August 2022
When arriving was told I can only order 2 drinks by the what I what calm strange bar maid. Was made to feel quite uncomfortable. She seemed sarcastic and I hadnt even seen my room yet. Other gentle man behind bar was welcoming but she was patronising and quite frankly rude
Done a great job ,great location and clean rooms ,good staff and a reasonable priced bar
Its a oké hotel to stay. The rooms are very small and dont look like what u see at the pictures. The staff and the breakfast were very good! The neighborhood isnt that great.. but for a cheap(er) hotel and for a citytrip its oke! If you are visiting ABBA the location is great. Just a 15/20 min walk from the arena.
Good customer service
Basic 2-star hotel but had the upgraded bedroom. Good facilities for the grade although we changed the kettle 4-5 times to get one that worked, only to find 24hrs that it was leaking so gave up then. Good basic hot and cold buffet breakfast included for us. Bed was comfy, aircon in the room. Good shower.
Not a special hotel, but clean and tidy. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the subway and then another 20-30 minutes to the city.
Location was great, useful for the new elizabeth line and getting in to Liverpool Street however we had no hot water for showers in our room in the morning and didnt realise this until we were in a rush to get out to a conference in the morning. When we complained on check out and asked for some compensation for not having any hot water and having to take cold showers we were advised this wasnt possible as we should have called reception and given them chance to fix it... Not sure who has time to follow this protocol when getting up and out in the mornung. Personally i think its fine to expect hot water in your room for a shower! Apart from this, the room was adequate and had everything we needed
Great 3-star hotel. Given its price I wouldnt expect it to have deluxe facilities and it did provide everything I need in my 1-week stay. The location is quite great - only ~10min walk to Stratford station which is a transport portal to anywhere in London. Theres a small church with green park and I always take a walk in the evening. The corridor and the room smells a bit moldy but I never saw any mold in the room. The room is moderately soundproof, in the sense that you can hear someone moving their luggage in the corridor but it feels very far away - might be disturbing for light sleepers. I never encountered the trash dumping noise in my sleep: it feels like the trash dumping was moved to about 10pm. The only things to complain are: 1. the network is high-speed but sometimes unstable especially after 9pm: try avoid video conference aouund that time 2. in 1 night the shower water temperature is a bit lower than usual - like 25C at max temperature 3. I cannot keep the lid of toilet fully open - the toilet was installed too close to the wall
Came to visit a friend
Was a beautiful experience. The service was excellent
We can really recommend the hotel. Rooms are not huge but quite new. Breakfast was very good... not just English breakfast. Stratford is pretty dirty in the evenings but there are lots of good bars and pubs nearby. We can recommend the O12 diagonally opposite. But you can also have a nightcap in the hotel in the evening.
Great location Great service Great food.
Good hotel. But for me, it is an Ibis Budget pretending to be an ibis.
Have to come again. The staff are exceptional. Very easy to get to Westfield Stratford. Honestly the best hotel in Newham!!!
I loved the customer care and the break fast
Really nice rooms, break fast and good customer care.
Great experience great staff enjoyed my stay throughout.
Was okay
Such a lovely hotel, great location, cozy rooms and delicious breakfast. Enjoyed the stay throughout.
Very helpful staff , breakfast was lovely ,lobby is very welcoming and modern ,comfortable beds had a good stay .
room are clean, staff very welcoming, very good breakfast, the location is very convenient.
Nice place to stay, staff is very friendly and cooperative
It was a pleasure
FABULOUS HOTEL!!! The ibis london stratford Hotel was stunning! The location and view from the rooftop was breathe taking. I went to relax by the pool; however, I took my laptop to get some wok in just in case. Why did they have a lounge off from the pool? I pull out my laptop and finished editing pictures from a recent wedding. It was an ideal, motivating and inspiring place to work in a place with different scenery in my swim suit. I felt so accomplished. The staff was nice and helpful; my daycation was perfect!
I booked a non-refundable room at ibis Stratford. But unfortunately I had to cancel my trip due to personal reasons. The hotel was kind enough to cancel my booking. That was really very accommodating and friendly. Thank you very much.
Staff very friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. Great room clean and functional and great nights sleep, had room at back at hotel. Breakfast excellent choice of cooked and continental. Bright and modern hotel, and really enjoyed our stay. Went to Abba voyage which was a 15 -20 minutes walk, ideal location plenty of bars and restaurants really recommend. Thanks
Although it was a brief stay due to our traveling arrangements but was a great experience.
Service was great especially the cleanliness of the rooms.l will be coming back soon.
Very pleasant atmosphere.Very clean, comfortable rooms.Hanging plants and potted plants right outside our door...a nice touch.
We came to check in late at midnight but the lady on the reception wasnt welcoming and unhappy to serve us drinks showed us a sulky face and talking to herself in a different language.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.I feel very comfortable, respected and treated equally when I m here. All kinds of people stay here and it s a top notch yet down to earth place.
Terrible experience, we were moved by hotels 3 times, the first time there was a fire and there was no water and electricity, thats understandable so we had no choice but to move. We moved to an excellent location that was located right on the conference venue, only they didnt bother to point out that the move was temporary and we had to vacate the room again, and they moved us to a bad location with a worse hotel than the previous one, a stuffy room with no air conditioning and no possibility to open a window. Im not going back there anymore after the heartbreak they put us through with these unnecessary crossings.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The building is very impressive, breathtaking when you walk in. Every staff member I encountered was very polite and helpful
This location left me wanting! Definitely not worth the cost! Rooms were clearly dated and unclean. Outlets were falling out walls and rooms VERY dimly lit.Highly recommended this!
Decent hotel with fairly good price for the rooms that are available. The staff were friendly and helpful and available for pretty much the whole of our stay. My main complaint about the hotel was the noise and the lack of a mini fridge in the room which somewhat forces you to use the hotels facilities for food and drink. The noise levels really arent great as you can pretty much hear everything from the road outside and from people coming past the your room in the hallway which is a bit irritating. The closeness to the train station and the main shopping centre was pretty handy though. Walkability: Relatively close to Stratford train station and the Westfield shopping centre. Food and drinks: Bit on the pricey side but still good and having food and drink available nearly 24/7 is pretty handy.
The hotel was nice and clean and the people at reception were friendly. It took several times to ask for early check-in, and though it could not be guaranteed, it thankfully worked out.
Lovely, spotless space Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent. All you can eat with a wide selection.
The hotel has a good central location. We were given a stuffy smoking room in which the window could not be opened. But after the complaint they found another room for us. No idea why, guests park their leftover food in front of the door - we found it very unpleasant. Rooms: Small, functional, not very comfortable - no closet - no fridge. Walkability: Everything is easily accessible
Standard Ibis hotel, meets expectations. Rooms were spacious, which was good. The environment is also silent. The price was quite high for a hotel so far from central London and the main tube lines. Rooms: Spacious, good beds and good shower. Walkability: Difficult, its about 10-15 minutes away from the nearest metro station.
An excellent hotel by English standards. Located on a busy road, therefore noisy at night. Rooms are small, beds excellent. Bathroom small but good. There could be some more towels. In the lounge you can have a drink and something to eat, but it is better not to do the latter here. Fries not fried long enough and everything comes out of the freezer. Breakfast is excellent. Very good location for a visit to Abba Voyage and close to the largest Mall in Europe.
I was pleasantly surprised having not stayed at an Ibis since the days of bunkbeds. Staff were very pleasant, the room was a good size and the bed was conformable. Shower was large with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was well presented with good options. Happy to recommend. I will be staying again
Adequate for a night. Decent breakfast options. Friendly staff.
The hotel is nice and vintage.Good price for the location.Staff and extremely friendly and attentive. Rooms are small but overall, fairly clean. Housekeeping is very helpful and will assist you very well
All round experience was excellent
Mattress needs replacing. Shower head leaks and spays water about. Mould showing on ceiling. Not very clean. Very poor quality for nearly £200 a night. Rooms
Professional, friendly customer service and competitive rates. Easy to navigate website.
We had an amazing experience for our anniversary trip. The guides and drivers took great care of us. When there was a protest that stopped traffic, our guides knew of some back roads that prevented us from waiting in traffic for hours.
We stayed 3 nights as a family and it was great The friendliness of the staff, the location of the hotel near the metro, bus and train Cleanliness and breakfast buffet great
Location and quality of service in relation to price
Clean and smart; all you need for a short (business) stay; well-equipped; small Couch plus cozy chair; no daily cleaning as a default option; good breakfast
Everything was wonderful. Friendly welcome, perfect accommodation. Loving details. Would come again anytime
Extremely lovely stuff especially staff on the reception. I was so tired and they gave me a beautiful clean room before the check in time. Apples and coffee were complementary and it was so nice. Breakfast was so good too. I m absolutely happy about my choice and it is really great way to start your travel
The room was very spacious with 1 king and 1 queen. So comfortable for 5 of us. And the view is so beautiful.
Beautiful location, delicious food, clean and fragrant rooms .. peace, silence, wonderful .. The rooms provide intimacy, plenty of space for walks.
Very hard to criticise, does everything it says on the tin. The only notable drawback is the lack of parking, otherwise its a very good hotel for the price
The staff was really good. While checking they asked whether we would like to have room on top or on lower floor and offered accordingly. Our room heater wasnt working, they promptly sent someone to check , they had coffee machine at reception, handy to have whenever you need it most. Hotel was really clean , good hygine maintenance and comfortable stay
The room is very spacious, with a balcony. The room is clean. The staff is very friendly, eager to help. Good cafes on the territory, a nice pool.
