Not nice

Just had a lovely meal here . Simonemeatball spaghetti dish was superb. Full of flavour with a rich thick gravy. The tagliatelle with the fennel sausage and porchiini was equally delicious. Very generous portions. Both house wines were good and suited the meal. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back when next in London.

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, with delicious food and a friendly, attentive staff.

Loved it here - found a table for us quickly, friendly service, delicious pasta and for such a busy area too it was ideal!

Very bad experience today at spaghetti house covent garden We waited and waited Only the starters came All other guests who arrived after us were served before us and they had obviously forgotten our order as the waitress said I was on a break! Our kids were starving and every time we ask the staff shows very little to no response and eventually we re actually rude as we decided to pay and cancel our order all together Never again

For the French, you can find better.

The restaurant is nice and the food is delicious, especially the pasta, but you should be careful to cook the pasta more

Pasta dishes at Its difficult to find them in Italy that are so good

The Capricciosa pizza was delicious! The crispy crust paired perfectly with the fresh tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, and toppings like ham, mushrooms, artichokes, and olives. A great balance of flavors classic and satisfying!

I ve never given a restaurant a bad review but after this less than enjoyable dining experience I felt compelled to. After waiting too long for a server we asked for water for the table and placed our order. The server wandered off and chose to clear tables without bringing the water. After some time it was obvious no water was coming so I flagged down another server who brought water (which was never refilled btw). The food was mediocre at best. When the bill arrived there was a compulsory service charge added which if the service was adequate I would have been happy to pay. This charge is not compulsory and the patrons have to be advised prior that this will be added to the bill. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place!

Great little Italian restaurant.

If you are looking for a dinner your kids are going to like, go to the Spaghetti House. The Pizza and Pasta are really good. There is plenty of room in the basement, but try not to sit in the middle of the room, the AC can be a bit cold. Overall definitely a recommendation.

Bad food and expensive!

Business dinner, super welcome from Francesco (regional Lombard). Everything super! From the carbonara with a live sprinkling of parmesan, to the gourmet humburger, ending with the tiramisu and the typical panettun with cream... if youre in the area its worth a stop.

Hands down my favourite Italian spot in London, highly recommend the arancini and carbonara. Restaurant is small but has a quaint atmosphere that really lends itself to that traditional independent family run feel. Plus a three course meal (shared dessert) and a bottle of Prosecco will only set you back £108 with a 13.5% service charge included!

For us it was a perfect end to a beautiful day in London. The weather was mild and we were able to eat outside. The waiter was funny and a bit crazy but he ironed it out with his charming manner The food and wine were delicious and the prices were great OK

I had to write a review for this lovely team , we were 3 adults and 3 children btw ages 4-11 yrs. it was a trip to London from bristol , and we ended up at the speggetthi house by chance , after the weather started to pour it down . We were sat immediately on the ground floor , our phones were on there last battery life , the team kindly helped us to charge them whilst we were eating , the food was promptly and delicious and we couldn t have had a better end to a tiring day , before we got back on the train to bristol . Would highly recommend this restaurant .

We ate there 6 nights in a row during our stay in London. Trying the different dishes. All of excellent quality. The service is outstanding, young people and eager to improve the diners experience. A special mention to Priyank for his performance and warmth. Highly recommended.

I rarely give a bad review. but wow. first, the food was really good. but we were seated in a sub basement where the curved walls wrapped overhead which at our height required us to lean over a little if seating upright. but hey, we werent alone. but our food took over an hour to arrive. the table next to us ordered right before we did. the got their soup, additional bread, ate their main course, paid, and left before our food arrived. 2 other nearby tables (one was a group of 5) came much later than us and got their food before us. when I recognized this, I went to ask about our food. they were apologetic and said they were aware and it would just be 3 more minutes. after another 15 minutes, I went again. they apologized and said 2 more minutes. it took 10 more. the other 2 tables were now leaving, having finished. when our food came they were very apologetic and said its all on the house. ok, I thought, fair. but when we left we checked to make sure and they only were referring to our sodas apparently. the bill even had a 13.5% service charge even though our server never returned after taking our order and we never got refills on drinks until our food came. we were absolutely forgotten, ignored, and all that meant to them was to offer us 2 free sodas. I find that insulting.

We have been to spaghetti House many times because of the food and service, both fantastic. A good menu as well. If you like pasta this is a great place to eat.

Had the spagetti and meatballs here the other day, and the lemonade. Both delicious the highlight was the lemon and basil sorbet! So light and refreshing. The wait staff were very attentive and welcoming

The food is amazing. Garlic bread with cheese is to die for. I would never order garlic bread from most other places, but this is proper food cooked by professionals. The man who greeted and seated us is lovely. Friendly and smiling. The other staff did a good job but were a bit grumpy... maybe just having a bad day.

Perfect pizza and drinks

I came with my partner and we were served and looked after by the very bubbly and magnetic young gentleman named Ali. He recommended the linguine gamberi which tasted so fresh and delicious! He also suggested the Hugo cocktail which was fab!! Lovely clean place, great service! Will definitely be coming back!

the staff are lovely the food was lovely and its such a cute restaurant, nothing bad to say at all would 100% reccomend to people of all ages. portions are big though but i am not complaining, they were polite respectful and kind, a lady called kiki she was very polite and kind!

Good morning, we spent 4 days in London and by chance we came across this restaurant and what can I say it was a nice surprise, three evenings in a row we ate in this nice restaurant with nice decor, kindness of the staff and excellent food, both from the first and from the appetizers and the pizza. An experience I wouldnt do again... The pizza was normal, but the dough was full of oil and cooking water. We finished it because it cost so much, a non-Italian dish... cooked so... serious.

Myself and my sister were seated outside the spaghetti house. The service was immediately very quick and we had our orders placed and drinks brought to the table, after this we were forgotten about immediately. All staff returned inside and were ot present to ask for salt/pepper/ drinks. My side order had gone cold by the time the staff had reappeared to give someone else their food. No one asked if our food was ok at all. Food tasted nice, but if sitting outside the service is awful.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant, specifically with the waiter named Priyank and the rest of the staff. Despite being open for business hours, they made it very clear that they did not want to serve us because we were Muslim. They were incredibly rude and disrespectful towards us, refusing to even acknowledge our presence and making us feel unwelcome. To make matters worse, as the restaurant was nearing closing time, they were more than willing to serve other guests who were not Muslim. This discriminatory treatment left a sour taste in my mouth and I felt completely marginalized and disrespected. The only saving grace was the waiter named Ado, who treated us with professionalism and courtesy. It was a stark contrast to the behavior of his colleagues and I truly appreciated his efforts to make us feel welcome. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you are a Muslim. The discriminatory and disrespectful attitude of the staff, particularly Priyank, left a lasting negative impression on me. Its a shame that such behavior is tolerated in a place that should be welcoming to all guests.

Food was good and the service was fast, however the waiter implied that there was chicken included in the caesar salad when there wasn t, it was charged on the side so I had a not so nice surprise when the bill came that honestly kinda ruined the meal for me.

Prohibitive prices for quite mediocre quality. The anchovy pizza was super salty and the Caesar salad was pretty poor. A place that neither was nor fa.

We arrived hungry and left without it. Everything was very good and we had a waitress who spoke Spanish, very nice.

I got the Mac and cheese which was really really good, my brother got the lasagna which was also great, my mom got a chicken dish which missed the mark. It lacked seasoning and was very bland. They are very careful with food allergy requests, which is much appreciated. Overall I would definitely go back, just stick to the pasta!

From the onset the experience and service was superb, warm and friendly. Food was reasonably prompt and incredibly delicious. For simple but appetising italian cuisine, you cant go wrong here.

We stopped here for dinner before a play tonight. We wanted to sit outside to eat and the staff were very apologetic that we had to pay when we ordered to do so as they have too many dine-and-dashes otherwise but we did not mind at all. We ordered the double serving of carbonara to share with a bottle of house wine and thoroughly enjoyed it all. The staff were very friendly and charming.

Food at then spaghetti House was great. We had the spaghetti and meatballs and other dishes for lunch. Everything was closely supervised by the owner/chef. We cannot wait to go back. I recommend it highly if you want something delicious food and friendly and cozy atmosphere.

We were very satisfied. The pasta is recommended. It tasted very good and was a decent portion. The service was courteous and nice.

Good pasta, nice staff

We came here without reservation and got seated immediately, although it was busy. The waiter was very friendly to me and my child. We ordered pasta from the kids menu and cacio e pepe. The pasta pomodoro was very fruity and delicious, the cacio e pepe was exactly how it should be. Both pastas were on point! Al dente. Vino was excellent and we were happy enough to order dessert, although we were pretty full. This was also a good decision as it was absolutely tasty.

The food was absolutely amazing. Would 10/10 recommend only if you re doing take out and getting one bill. If you want split checks, they will be completely messed up and overcharged. Also, if you want servers that will give you quality service and remember simple things like to bring you water, don t go here. Also know that there is tap water available and you don t have to pay extra for bottled water because they won t offer tap water to you, you re expected to know that. In total we got scammed $30. Again, food was amazing. Other areas need major work.

Amazing food. Attentive staff even on a busy Saturday evening. Found a table for 6 of us. Sharing pasta bowl is a brilliant idea.

The lady who served us did not say hello , no smile, only three of us got our meals. So I had to wait , she told me that I said I share my wife , well no one else heard me say that on my table. She was very rude and looked like she did not want to be there. With service like that shame she was.

Worst restaurant experience ever. We (2 persons) order one tiny appetizer and two pizzas at 17:00. The appetizer arrives at 17:05, so far so good. At 18:00, we were still waiting for the two pizzas. No apologies, nothing. They even made us pay the little we d consumed. An absolute disgrace, from start to finish. Never go there, ever.

Horrible place

I found this restaurant a bit poor! Came with a group of friends and i ordered a burger but its a bit boring just chips and standard burger. Burger King can do a better job than this! Another thing Always always check your bill before payment as they over charge me and my friends thinking the waitress get away with it if we havent check the bill !!! Think we are a tourists ! Rip-off!!! Will not go back again!!!

Terrible:( I was here this week with my dad because we didn t know where to eat. When we came in we were seated at a place we didn t enjoy so we asked to switch but the waitress said no rudely. While waiting for the food (Carbonara and a burger) the chefs were constantly loudly arguing also we didn t get any positive vibes from the other people working there. Sooner we got the food that looked really poor. The carbonara that wasn t even a real carbonara and the bacon was pretty hard also greasy. and the burger was just dry and poor. No questions about if we enjoyed it or anything like that. So whould not say the extra 13.5% bill is worth it.. Do not recommend!!

I dont want to badmouth a business, I will never go to that business again, but we went for a trip to London with my daughters, it was raining outside, they told me to wait for 5 minutes outside, harshly and we waited for 15 minutes, and finally we entered the restaurant and my daughter was sitting at the table to prepare it and I took my daughter to a table. The employee pushed my daughter with his elbow and put the plate on table. My daughter is 17 years old. I was shocked. They had very rude staff and we asked for spaghetti. Oh my god, it was the worst spaghetti I have ever eaten in my life. Look, I would never lie about this. I have been to many restaurants. This was the first time I experienced something like this and I wanted to write about it. Be careful, they took it from us, they took the service fee except the fee, your business does not deserve anything, know this, rude business and people

Impeccable service, they accommodate special requests flawlessly. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and its conveniently located. And lets not forget the star of the show: the food is absolutely delicious. A must-visit for any Italian cuisine lover! Highly Recommend.

Its not a restaurant but a giant factory. First of all, be patient because the servers are in no rush to seat you. Although several tables were free, we waited a long time (around 25 minutes) in the cold before we were finally told that we could go in. Icy welcome, questionable hygiene and mediocre service. We had two dishes including a plate of spaghetti pomodoro with pasta which was cold and a tomato sauce which was obviously industrial. In addition, we had a chicken Milanese which had no seasoning and the fries were cold, frozen, soft and not a single hint of salt. To summarize, the dishes were bland and flavorless. We still waited around 30 minutes to be served and this is the result After paying, no goodbye from the employees and the atmosphere remains as cold as ever. Very bad experience!

We didn t have a booking but were seated within 5 minutes. I got the bolognese and it was one of the best I ve had. My husband got the carbonara and said it was really tasty. I d recommend you do yourself a favor and visit if you re in the area. It has a very nice atmosphere.

A very small place, but very well located, delicious to eat

I visited this restaurant with my family recently. We received terrible service from one male worker from the second we entered the restaurant. We stood in the open doors of the restaurant at 11.57 and were rudely told by the man that the restaurant did not open until 12. So I responded that it was only in 3 minutes, the inference being that I was prepared to wait. He then let us in and said you can sit at a table for 3 minutes then. At this point I didn t take any issue to his attitude as it was only a small exchange. However, thereafter he refused to acknowledge us when we called for service and was twice asked by his colleagues if he could do something for our table. The first time he said something to a colleague that we did not hear but it was clear that he did not want to serve us. The second time we caught what he said and he outright said to the other colleague that he was not going to serve us. I asked the lady that served us why that was the case and she denied it, whilst trying to cover up a laugh. I haven t received such terrible service at a restaurant in my life and we all left the restaurant (one of our previously favourite chains) extremely disappointed. I then wrote to the customer service about this experience and unsurprisingly didn t receive a response. I won t be spending my money here again.

Beautiful food, thank you

The spaghetti bolognese looked awful barely any mince/ bolognese sauce. Unfortunately, the spaghetti Bolognese I ordered was undercooked and didnt taste like it should. It was a letdown, and to make matters worse, it made me feel sick afterwards. We couldnt even finish our meal. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves their food quality we are very disappointed.

The staff was friendly. The food generally tasted good. Its not a bad choice. Bolognese and Gamberoni pasta were good.

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant! The staff were rude and unhelpful, and the food tasted terrible. I do not recommend visiting or trying this restaurant. We had some fries and a small amount of pasta with ketchup dressing to mask the taste.

It s Italian in name only! We paid almost 40 pounds to receive a plate of tomato mozza and carbonara pasta that was floating in oil and obviously fresh from the microwave. You can find much better elsewhere

If I could have put 0, I would have done so. Cold atmosphere, uninvested server. There was NO STILL WATER. No coke or cold tea. The bill was thrown on the table even though we were not asked if we wanted dessert. We were gently kicked out at 9 p.m. even though the restaurant closed at 10:30 p.m.

Waited over 50 minutes for the starter, then the main course came out luke warm, after complaining they took it away and returned it and it looked all stodgy and dry. Completely inedible.

I visited Spaghetti house for what I thought would be a quick lunch the other day (I thought it would be quick because I was by myself and they didnt appear to be too busy). I was seated immediately. I sat at the bar since I was by myself (not a bar with a bartender, but a long counter against a window). I thought that was perfect, great people watching, and I could read while I waited for my food. However, the manager or someone was an Italian man speaking at an incredibly loud volume. It almost felt like he thought he needed to put on a show for the guests, acting the stereotypical loud, jovial Italian restaurant owner (but I mean . . . this is a chain, its not like its some authentic Italian food . . .). So as this man shouted incessantly in the very small closed-in area where I was seating, I tried to enjoy my book regardless. I had to wait quite a while before anyone came over to take my order. (I had closed my menu in an attempt to indicate I was ready). I wasnt offered water or any drink while I waited. Finally a server came over. I ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella and the lasagna. The garlic bread came out in a timely manner. It was delicious. It was in the form of a personal-size pizza dough. I didnt plan to eat all of it myself. I ate about half while reading, then moved it aside. I waited and waited. And waited. And my main didnt come. If I hadnt had a book to read I would have probably been driven insane with boredom and walked out. I sat reading and waiting. I ended up finishing the rest of the garlic bread because I was hungry (though I would have preferred to save room for my main). I didnt want to have to watch and flag someone down (was trying to enjoy my book), and I figured for sure they couldnt have forgotten about me, Im literally sitting on the way to the kitchen - the see me every time they walk in and out of the kitchen. Eventually the server came over and asked if I was ready for my main. I said yes. I was caught off guard . . . I didnt realize she was waiting for me to tell her I was ready for my main. I didnt know this was the rule. Ive eaten at many restaurants, of all sorts of varieties of cuisine and price points, and Ive managed to get served my food at all of them . . . without ever telling them I was ready for my main. But its certainly something Ive seen other people do. If that was their policy, she should have communicated that instead of assumed I knew. Anyway. So then I was waiting for my lasagne. Which I assumed would be right out. I figured all they need to do is heat it up - they probable make one earlier in the day. But nope. Lots more waiting. When it came, it was so hot I had to wait another 10 minutes for it to cool down, and still ended up burning my tongue several times. The lasagne was okay. Personally I would have liked it with more meat and less cheese, but I know there are so many different preferences on lasagne, so I cant reasonably hold that against them. If I hadnt had to wait so long for water in the beginning and then so long again for my main, it would have been a completely different experience, and this would have been a completely different review. Looking at my phone now, I can see I arrived at 2:30 pm and didnt leave until 3:50 pm. One hour and 20 minutes for one person to eat some garlic bread and a bit of lasagne!!!! I dont feel any need to ever go back. The only reason Id eat here again is if it was my only choice. It wasnt horrendous, but it just wasnt worth it - neither the food or the service or the atmosphere presented any selling points.

Centrally located, this cute Italian restaurant serves decent pasta but a really amazing margherita pizza and arancini! It is really busy with limited space. You have to try the affogato with amaretto, it s an out of this world explosion of flavor in your mouth.

Pizza margherita and arancine you can t go wrong with these here at Spaghetti House! The ambience was okay. The staff helpful enough. The food was delicious. And well done on making pasta al dente .

We were a large group with children, but they treated us wonderfully, without reservation, and at an affordable price. Good food is a safe bet with children

The server was kind, attentive and expedient. They were able to make space for our small party on 1 hours notice. A booking is most assuredly required if you d like to dine here. The food was really disappointing. On par with American fast food. It was strange to go somewhere with such great location, ambiance, and service, but with food that can best be described as edible.

The waitress spoke Spanish and treated us wonderfully. Everything was very good and the service was fast. The place is very cute, especially the downstairs area. I totally recommend it, to be in a super central area it was not expensive at all!

Food: okay at best, good for a pit-stop. Its in a prime location so they can sacrifice quality and increase prices. Calamari was bland and anemic. Pizza was average. Would recommend other pizza establishments 2mins away, cheaper and better quality. Service: poor, but clearly its a new team so I would expect service to better with experience and time. Tip: if busy, communicate to the customers and inform them that youre new, very busy etc that way customer doesnt take it personally. Apologise for any delays and check up on the table to see if everything is okay. Also a smile goes a long way. It was a very busy Saturday with long ques. After 15mins we were seated downstairs, which to my surprise had multiple empty tables waiting to be cleared and set up. Service was poor, twice I asked for my cutlery to be changed due to cleanliness and twice more I had to ask a separate server to bring me my cutlery. Asked for chilli oil, server picked it up and then spoke to their colleague whilst I waited patiently for the oil. Another waiter had to grab it from the others hand and give it to me. No waiter checked up to see if food/service had been okay. Team seemed really understanding when I explained why I wanted service charge removed. I also explained to the team the issues I had with the service. I did offer some advice on how to improve through communication with customers, I hope this advice is taken on board. Good luck.

Not been for awhile, the food was generally ok, initially the service seemed good and the waitress organised a less spicy arribiata sauce for one of the group I ordered a main from the christmas set menu and when i ordered my desert was told the 2 course set menu is only available as a starter and main, not a main and desert which seems bizarre, this seemed to cause some problems and the service felt much less friendly after this was raised by them I noticed once i got home we was charged for an item which we didnt order too Dietary restrictions: Some gluten free options, mainly pasta

Me and my friend, we were looking for a place to have lunch, but all.olaces or were so far away or busy and we found Spaghetti a house. We were lucky to find a place there. Food was delicious, service friendly and helpful. Only toilets need improvement.

Not sure why this place is called Spaghetti house when they can t cook spaghetti properly. Not sure who s definition of al dente this was but this was too hard and very rubbery. Sauce bland and not meaty enough (bolognese). Not very cheap, £2+ for a big bottle of water, should have been offered tap water or a paid bottle. Also didn t like service charge as well as paying that for water. Service and location good.

We had the pane allaglio (garlic bread) to start and the Bolognese and arrabiata as mains. The garlic bread is on pizza dough, was a nice portion size, and was incredible. The Bolognese was the worst thing we had but not horrible. The arrabiata was great as well. A gratuity is added to the bill, I believe it was 13.5%. The restaraunt was busy on a Thursday night and we got put on the lowest floor in a tiny, low ceilings room with 3 tables for 2. Service was slow to start but picked up and was good once we were seen for the first time.

Our table was right in the middle of the passage, against a wall. The waitress was very unpleasant (she notably commented on our level of English, after asking for a water pitcher). Lots of noise. The dishes were not exceptional. When it was time to pay the bill, no one greeted us despite us waiting in front of the station to pay. So we went upstairs to pay, who asked us to go back downstairs. Once settled, we were chased down and told that their machine had not printed the receipt because the paper was empty. Upstairs, the waiters assumed we hadnt paid and were thieves.

Amazing food and really quick service (but never felt rushed) - highly recommend!

Was looking forward to a delicious meal before theatre and the place looked popular. Turned out to be a very big disappointment. The food took 40 minutes to be served - just one pasta and pizza. That is usually fine if the rest was smooth sailing, however the food was stone cold and had very little flavour. The bolognese also did not have enough sauce and the pizza was quite badly cut and with minimal toppings. The service was also slow and had to request for a drink multiple times before they served it. Turned out they kept serving it to the wrong table every time. Would have requested it to be remade or gone to a different place if we didnt have to hurry to theatre after dinner despite allowing a couple hours for dinner.

Big disappointment, not worth the price paid for this dish. The pasta was uncooked, quality of supermarket budget pasta. Had to go fishing for the aubergine, literally 1 cube of aubergine cut into tiny bits. The only thing that was satisfying was the apple juice. Oh and when we asked for the service charge to be taken off as the food was a disappointment the staff member looked at us as if we has said something wrong

My child wanted to eat carbonara, so I searched for a restaurant nearby that would meet his needs. It was opening time, but customers were still coming in one after another. It seemed like there were a lot of families with small children. As for the taste of the pasta, it wasnt authentic, but it was similar to what you would expect from Japanese Capricciosa or Jolly Pasta, and I felt that the finished product was familiar to Japanese people (especially families). Anyway, since the quantity is large, I dont think the cost performance is bad in London. The staff were also used to tourists, and all but one were very smiling (I wondered if that one person was the reason for the low rating). It is not suitable for people who are looking for authentic food, but I think it is suitable for families who want to eat a filling meal without worrying too much. I didnt order any drinks, just ordered two dishes: carbonara and zucchini and shrimp pasta, and it cost me around 40 pounds including service charge (which is basically included). Being able to get tap water without having to ask for it was a small but nice thing.

Walked in the seat hostess was so dismissive and rude we walked out and went to bella italia where there customer service was outstanding 3.8 review says it all
