We're all about fresh, flavoursome, authentic Japanese food. Sushi is what we're known for. But we also have a mouth-watering range of hot street food available - from traditional classics to innovative fusion dishes. All packed with rich, aromatic flavours and all-natural ingredients.
For the price, the sushi isn’t great. There is no love in the creation of the food. What we saw was simple. Open the fridge, grab the pre-made sushi, put it on a plate and let it go onto the conveyor belt. That’s an easy way to make money with minimal effort. So yeah. The sushi was cold. Don’t expect a taste explosion or freshly made product. It’s your local supermarket sushi on a plate.
The staff are always so helpful here whenever I go, especially with identifying veggie options on the belt (adding a sticker to the lid or plate would be really useful and save them answering these kinds of questions!). However, a special thank you to the kind and quick server who saw that I’d left my handbag behind and put it away for me until I came back. More veggie options on the conveyor belt would be good (you can always order off the menu so not a huge issue) but otherwise no complaints and very grateful for the wonderful team that works here
I found it to be overpriced for the quality offered. While the conveyor belt concept adds a bit of novelty, it doesn’t justify the steep prices. The sushi quality simply doesn’t match what you'd expect from other places in town with similar price points—or even from well-known sushi chains. For the same price, you can get much better, more authentic and fresh sushi elsewhere without the gimmick. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for value or top-notch sushi.
Haven't been to this branch for a while as previous experiences hasn't been so great. But thought I'd pop in to use my birthday voucher and I was really well-looked aftered by the staff, especially this lovely lady - Hima, whom went the extra mile to present this lovely mochi dessert specially made for my birthday! This really cheered me up as I have had a stressful week, so I'm so grateful for their attentive service. Thank you! ❤️
Loved this place. Food is really good and you can tell it it's professionally made. service can be a bit slow if it's really busy, but otherwise, it is fast. There is a conveyor belt system where you take the food you want, and they count up the colours of the plates for you to pay. The food may seem expensive, but it isn't too bad as most sushi is quite pricey
Asma and Farjana were really sweet and kind. They were helpful and able to ensure my food arrived nice and warm and exactly how i wanted it to be. Although, i am a regular customer, they knew what my order was and ive found that to be really special!
My self is deaf, I met Adithya at twice times at Yo Yo restaurant this, he is so nice and he gave me positive and I was not sure to chose cold drink and he advised to me to chose it and I drank as so best taste! He is so good. I can see all staffs nice together with teamwork. My self enjoying to watch and I felt so relax. They seem gave me some time as resting when finish food. I love to attend again this!
Update: 29SEP23 We tried to eat here again as we saw that they put back the sushi/sashimi that you can just get it straight from the conveyer belt and the pricing will depend on the color of the plate. It was a fun experience finally and the food tasted great. Aside from the sushi and sashimi, some of the desserts are jn the conveyer belt as well. It was a bit in the pricy side but I guess the experience is a part of what your paying for. I took a photo of the prices. Went here to experience eating at a revolving sushi restaurant. But it wasn't like the one in Japan though it's understandable. Food tasted good and there were good selection. As always, loved the miso soup as well as the sashimi and shushi. My daughter loves there fries as well.

Quality of sushi is very low for the price!
Terrible service, expensive and not adequate for a someone eating alone due to the portions being too big and expensive, so you don t get to try different dishes as is supposed to happen in a kaitensushi. Also the app says they ll give you a 5£ voucher if you sign up, I did it, and then when I paid they said: you ll have the voucher for next time. Not recommended at all. Bad value for money.
Yo Sushi s food is genuinely really good and decent value for money (if you order certain things), but the quality of service at this branch is horrible - i ve been 5/6 times, and at least 3 of those times they got something wrong with my order. I understand working hospitality is really hard and i m willing to accept mistakes, but it happens way too often to be excusable

Sushi is way to small for the price, almost no salmon in the rolls, nigiris re so small and only 2 pieces for £7? Sashimi not worth the price for how much I receive. Staff is super friendly though, especially abdhi (not sure is the name correct) from all the sushi places Ive tried, this one so far is the worst by size, taste wise is not bad... Spend £30 just for 3 plates and Korean fried chicken which was tasty. Would say this place is overrated and not worth the money.

Yo sushi conveyor belt helps to get something quickly and it s not bad but it doesn t keep up with the other well known sushi places on quality I m sorry to say. If revisiting I d grab something from the takeaway fridge and sit in the main dining area as that is just as quick and better value
today i ordered take away from yo sushi had soup and dragon roll sushi. it was already prepared. when i got back home i puke like there is no tomorrow they sell old sushi please people be careful. i got food poisoning as i dont leave toilet since im back home from there. i dont need anything from them. just want you to be careful what you eat. and they definitely need to be checked by food safety this is insane i paid to get my day ruined i hope you will get punishment you deserve .

Below was my review from a year ago and I returned with my family yesterday - I will say the staff were friendly and attentive this time but the food quality wasnt great and the cost ended up being astronomical even though we had a free kids meal for half term! I gave it another go but still a no from me. 2013 review: Honestly, the staff were all grumpy, the ordering was confusing and the food was ok but expensive for what it was. Dont think we will be back, would rather try an independent sushi place.

My partner and I had come down to spend easter with my family in London, it was good, we like it at YO, it was my second time in any YO restaurant, I love japanese food so naturally I had a good time there. The atmosphere was good considering busy shopping mall.
We came here before lockdown and it was decent, now the portions are smaller, its more expense and the quality of the food is worse than super market sushi. I used to really rate the fries as well, but now they are just french fries with mayo on them. Theyve even removed the water taps from the tables. The service was slow and felt very disorganised.
Get a meal deal at Sainsbury for £5 and you ll have better sushi at a lower price. Charging a service fee is ridiculous too considering the sushi revolver is automatic,,,
My name is Julie I was there on Sunday with my son Charlie for the West Ham game.This was our first time here. The food was excellent so delicious nice and hot and came so promptly as time was a bit tight for us. What set this place apart from the other restaurants was the service everyone was so lovely and friendly. They couldn t do enough for us. A particular mention to Sara who brought us cutlery( sorry) and looked after us throughout the meal she was a joy. We happen to be back Thursday for another game and we will not hesitate to choose your place to eat at. The prices were really good too when comparing around.

The food was amazing. I had the the spicy seafood ramyeon. It was at the right temp and it had the right amount of spice. My server Sara was also very lovely. She kept on checking on us to see everything was alright and kept on a smile. I will definitely come back to this place.

Terrible at all costs. Service needs to be reviewed and urgently you don t seem to know what hospitality and catering even is! Greeting guests is is the 1st step before seating them.( We sat by ourselves) Food is poor and portioning I m not going to even mention. Higiene is very questionable specially if you seat there and then look up and can see the dust falling in the kitchen while your food is being prepared I m referring to the dust from those hanged cups or plates or whatever you wanna call. Also keep your eyes on the head-chef as he and probably is sous chef were the only ones not to wear gloves apart from everyone else. They eat on going while preparing food and gossiping about the guests in their own language and probably thinking that no one understands them (well there are some key expressions that you can only mention it in English and that what lets you get caught) Pay attention to the dirty pans attention to the knifes and boards in case you have allergies. Washing their hands regularly should be an habit specially if you are preparing. fresh food in an open kitchen! Guys seriously where are your standards?!?! The value for money is simply ridiculous. You have supermarkets cooking better at cheaper prices than you practice at the moment! I could be here pointing a whole role of other things. But I guess I ve already wasted a lot of time writing this review and describing my bad experience.with you guys.

I wanted to take my mother, while she was visiting me. We both were very happy of choosing exactly Yo Sushi- food delicious, and the conveyer belt is really attractive, you can look at the food, and choose, for people that do not know that well Asian cuisine is very good. The staff is great, we were served by Sara, she explained everything to us with a big smile and so friendly. Highly recommended!

I was there at 20:22pm today 03/01/2023 with my daughter & was about to place my order when the waiter said they were closed for the day. I checked online & it says closes @ 21:00. Disappointed cod it was her first time of wanting to try sushi.
Its sooo yummy and fulfills hygiene requirements as you see how chefs are working in front of you. It is a great experience when you choose your sushi and salads on the runner :) besides I like that you can eat as much as you want, its all calculated at the end according to the colours of the plates when you finish.

We stop by for lunch most of the time that we visit the shopping center. Very good quality food. Orders arrive quite quickly even during busy time. It does satisfy many different taste and dietary requirements. Also available kids menus which our son really enjoy. Definitely recommend for a full lunch or even a quick bite. Discounted bill when redeem points earned on every much you spend by registering to their page through the table QR code.

I mentioned that my son is autistic and I have the ehcp form to prove, so I was seated by a member of staff, and then, as I went to place my order, another staff member brought in my food. I complained as the quality of the food was horrific. I ve never received it like that before not only that my order was missing seafood. Just for context I ordered the Ramen bowl. I went to put a complaint through. It was evident that I will serve this on purpose. Another lady arrived saying she is the manager when she was actually the team leader. She mention that I walked through into the store without being seated which was incorrect she didn t clarify this with me before assuming this. I mentioned I was not happy with the service immediately, she said do I wanna refund? She didn t even try to rectify the issue. Her name was sam I will never be returning horrible service horrible staff members. She was shouting at me, being disrespectful and lying about several things. Kid-friendliness: No consideration whatsoever, my son was autistic and he was undermined and me as a parent was disrespected

Dont really like the ordering system where you have to order and pay online. Also, you have to decide whether or not to tip before you are served. What? The staff are busy with take-outs and not very attentive. The salmon platter which is supposed to serve two is not enough for even half a meal. The is comically small. And the salmon is not fresh.
The sushi rice is far too soggy and not fresh at all. It is also very overpriced.

Interesting experience. The mini conveyer belt now delivers order and pay for your food from the Yo app. Food quality okay. In a busy restaurant where other customers dont know what they are doing, They took my food off the moving conveyor. Just as well, some human staff are still employed to sort things out. Food is now overpriced for what you get. Vegetarian options: Good selection Wheelchair accessibility: One table at the front of the restaurant accommodates up to two people in wheelchairs. All other seating excludes a wheelchair since they are fixed bar stools or raised booths.
Used to like watching the little dishes go around but conveyor belt is now for delivering the food. Too much ketchup and mayo on the duck fries. Food good and quick.
£19 for the Sushi set, the sashimi I assume was originally one small piece of Tuna/Salmon divided over the whole plate. Hugely disappointing and misleading. You could go to your local supermarket and get a pack of 2 salmon/tuna and still prepare 3-4 of their sushi sets!

Honestly. This is a British style sushi. Doesn t have the authentic sushi taste so if you think u don t like sushi. Remember this is not authentic sushi ! Also sashimi and sushi choice is very limited. It s catered to British style so comes with a lot of bowls and side dish instead. The conveyor was also a bit pointless as it doesn t have plates of food rolling around on it instead u order on ur phone and they bring u food. While some dishes like dumplings would be transported to u on conveyor. But missing the whole point of conveyor belt sushi which is take what u want !!

I visited the Stratford YO! Sushi this afternoon and the food was so extra yummy and scrumptious omg. An added bonus was the friendly customer service delivered by an employee called Hassan. Will defo be visiting again!!
The restaurant look ok whit all this sushi go up and down.. but the taste is horrible the salmon is not fresh at all, aren t the best. Also the want to charge me 7 items when im just eat 2 plates as was very bad the food I couldn t continue eating.. NO recommend don t waster your money.

Decent food with the sushi being delivered by conveyor belt and other dishes either ordered by app or direct to the waiters. The sushi is what Id describe as sushi for westerners. Cost was a bit more than I would typically pay per dish.

My 6 year old is a big Yo! fan so we came here after a movie. As always the food was good but the service this evening was particularly good too. The waitress was pleasant and attentive, and even my kid commented that she was nice. Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly. And kids eat free in school holidays.
It was the worst Japanese restaurant ever. We ordered seafood ramen, chicken ramen, veggie dumpling ramen, and five Sashimi/sushi. The sashimi (salmon) was not fresh. The ramen was not Japanese ramen at all. The soup was merely MSG covered by chilly spicy taste. It is not Japanese. seafood ramen tasted fishy. There were only two/three types of sushi on the conveyer-belt and it is badly made/design. Those sushi was strangely pre-added with non-wasabi chilly spice. What a nice Indian Sushi!

Hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a YO! They recently changed the system, so instead of having the conveyor light up green at your table so you know the food is yours, the staff were just continuously preparing different sushi dishes and you were to choose what you wanted from the conveyor. No dishes were labeled, some dishes had clearly been there for hours and had steamed up/ condensation (sushi, not hot food). The most disturbing thing was us realising that a lot of this sushi contained meat & seafood that had been sitting in room temp for several hours, which sounds dangerous and unhygienic. Sushi was lukewarm and tasted extremely unfresh. I have been feeling slightly sick since a few hours after leaving till now. My Mother ordered a bowl and ice cream and the ice cream was brought out before her main course. She asked it to be put in the freezer, and it was taken away (thankfully) but by the time we had finished, she requested it again and waited 10 minutes and the girl she asked completely ignored her request. Had another member of staff come over to tell us that they were closing soon, so clearly nobody was aware/ had been bothered to think about grabbing her ice cream. The part that annoys me the MOST about their new system is just how much food went to waste. There were time stickers on the sushi plates for when the sushi would be thrown out, and by closing time there was still 40 or 50 dishes on the conveyor. Horrific amount of wasted food just because the staff are too lazy to prepare fresh or even just bring dishes to tables themselves.

Great location in Westfield Stratford. Fun for all the family with the food on rotation. We mainly ordered from the menu tbf. Slightly understaffed and busy when we visited and so service wasnt the most attentive, but good value for money and tasty eats for all the family.
My daughter really wanted to try conveyor belt sushi and she was very happy with the whole experience but honestly I thought the sushi was Gross. And the system for ordering and getting your food didn t really seem to work.

Weve been to a few YO! locations, including this one before, and they always do the trick. The food and service were decent, but it wasnt up to the same standards like some other YO! restaurants. Id rate this location a solid 3.5/5.
I like it. Very buzzy which I think suits the Yo style. Food was good, though the options on the belt were simpler than pre-covid. Much easier to get service than in other branches. Less busy than a lot of other restaurants nearby.
Don t have a take-away section if you don t bother serving customers and leave them waiting.
I sadly havent been in a long time but I find the quality a bit lower than the one it used to be. Still good and an enjoyable experience, the plates you order are better and tastier than the one you can find on the conveyor. The best dished I had was the guncan. Food
Confusing conveyor belt system where bowls of sushi move along in front of the customer for selection, which is ok once you figure out the pricing, based on bowl colour and sushi expiry times printed on each bowl. The staff when busy dont explain the system, so a lot of figuring out is needed. Amazing food though. The fun part of this places atmosphere is selecting your sushi before it whizzes past. If you are accompanied by a fun loving child like mine, then theyll select loads of different bowls leading to near bankruptcy!! Highly recommended however.

The manager decided to let me order after telling me to come back at 11.30 - Awfull start. way over priced - used to like this place, the prices have all gone up as well as the portion that reduced in size, you can t do both ! No more ginger wasabi pot, the ramequins given was yellow - it put me off. I ve also ordered the timing sashimi - I was skeptical to finish eating it as it came at room temperature, not even cold, it should be below 10 degres after defrosting and was definitely not. 28 pounds for 4 dishes and was starving half hour later - for this price better off a Michelin star on set menu or a sushi box from m&s tastier than that . It s now a rip off. Went downhill on all prospect - no longer value for money at all. The waitress was lovely, the only highlight of this experience. Last time ever

Really weird seafood ramen, no kimchi taste and some strange fried noodles or something on top with English radishes?? The noodles were pretty awful tbh and the egg was overcooked and grey yolked. Sushi was meh not worth the price at all
always closing early, staff are rude, they always have an excuse to not do offers, etc. worst yo sushi ever.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We ordered online and waited for our food. We were so patient that we asked the staff how long it would take to get one of our sushi dishes after waiting for about 10 minutes. They didn t apologise at all and asked if we wanted to cancel it. We HAD to cancel as it was nearly the closing time and they had run out of the ingredients. We asked for the refund and left. Bad customer service.
It is very hard for freshman to find. I spent 1 hour to find the reseturant with my friend. The kimchi fried chicken is too salty. The food is not too fresh.
Really disappointed with this location. Opening time clearly states 11:00. We went there just shortly after 11 and the staff told us that they will be opening at 11:30. We didn t mind waiting an extra half an hour but at 11:30 they informed us that the opening time moved to 12:00 . Is that normal ? I ve been to several locations and even worked for a bit for Yo! Sushi and I have never experienced that. Train your staff better to at least inform clients in due time as we were right next to them waiting. Waste of time!
I dined here this afternoon and honestly a lot was going down. The staff were trying to cope with the servers being down and unfortunately were having to deal with some very challenging customers who were being very vocal / impatient and unkind. The worker who really stood out to me was a young waitress (perhaps early twenties?) with dark hair and glasses She was kind, efficient and smiling - no matter how stressed she may have been. We could see how hectic it was and how much pressure she had been put under and yet she continued to be attentive and take care of everyone. I wish I caught her name. Yo Sushi is so lucky to have her - she was the lead staff member making sure customers were happy and being communicated with in the midst of technical chaos and challenging customers. Thank you so much whoever you are - we see you and appreciate you!!!

We loved our expirence with YO! From the moment i stepped inside the vibes where great the energy was great the workers where fantastic and the food was out of this world.I would like to specially congratulate The worker Hassan he helped us alot and made my experience with YO! 10× better.

Good selection on the belt and not too long of a wait for anything we ordered. Was a bit warm in the restaurant and sometimes difficult to get a member of staffs attention

Boring susi at premium prices
I have been here a few times as I work here. Every time I have to ask for things like chopsticks and or ginger. Staff are busy chatting or making food no servers. Yo sushi use to be one of my fav places to go but this quality since the pandemic seem to have decreased.
Great vegan options. We were seated straight away. Food arrived quickly. Difficulty using NHS discount and spliting the bill but quickly rectified. Food

Strange mixed conveyer belt and order system. Never brought the ordered ginger and wasabi so sushi was bland. Took ages to pay. Too expensive for rubbish sushi. Menu given to us was covered in soy sauce.
