Our server Denisse was lovely. All staff polite and friendly from when we entered to when we left. It was busy but food and drink served promptly. Thank you!

My partner is Celiac. When we let them know, they provided a GF menu and the manager came over to take our order. She let us know that they couldn t guarantee a lack of cross contamination. We asked about their practices (changing gloves, washing hands, using new kitchen utensils, etc) which typically is plenty to ensure a safe meal for us. By the time we were home it was obvious she had been glutened. In our perspective, they could not have followed the practices we discussed to ensure the safety of the food and still have an issue. We got nachos and corn tacos. Food and atmosphere was great but would not recommend for anyone with gluten intolerance. Dietary restrictions: Many options for dietary by choice individuals. Not safe for gluten free and celiac individuals.

Have always enjoyed Wahaca the servers are always polite & knowledgeable with Denisse P greeting us with a smile & being attentive without over doing it..the turnaround from ordering and getting the food has always been pretty quick but for some reason our selection of tacos took way longer than expected after the initial starter of nachos with chorizo was on the table quick as a flash! That was our only gripe. Overall food always on point and a decently priced..highly recommend

Greeting and table service very friendly. Reasonable noisy environment i.e. generally hubbub of people eating and chatting, so sometimes difficult to hear some of the quieter members of staff. Given the abundant choice of places to eat I wouldn t normally choose Mexican, based on a preconceived idea that all Mexican food contains fresh tomato (I don t like tomatoes). Wahaca was an eye opener for me regarding the freshness and lightness (not overtly rich). We had 5 small plates between 2 of us. More than enough depending on your appetite. The thing that stood out were the flavours. I don t know how to express how good everything was, so I ll stop writing now. Wheelchair accessibility: I m not a wheelchair user, but noticed that access to the wheelchair accessible cubicle was via a heavy glass door which was push in both directions.

The food, restaurant, and service were great. Giving 3 stars because we felt scammed. For most dishes you can see the price to order one of them. The festive feast option is £35 pp. There were two of us, but we believed that we selected one festive feast meal, only to find out at the end that they automatically charge you for two people and the actual cost is £70. Had we known that we would not have ordered it. Please make it clear on the menu.

Make sure you re keeping an eye that you get the food you order Ordered the veggie festive menu at £35pp (not bad considering the amount of food we got). Initially asked the waiter to give us 5 mins - 15 mins later after getting his attention again he took our order (think he forgot). Then the first dish that came was the fried plantain. Good job I m a meat eater (my friend wasn t hence why we ordered veggie), as they gave us the plantain with chorizo oops! Then twice we got brought dishes that weren t meant for our table/only noticed as we pointed out they were meat dishes again Then the waiter seemed to forget we d ordered from the set festive menu and brought us over the whole desert menu (even though we reminded him it). Food was tasty but the service was so slow and hectic - if we weren t paying attention, my veggie mate would certainly no longer be veggie and other tables wouldn t have got their food as it would ve been eaten by us! A really disappointing experience on the service front.

I recently had dinner at Wahaca in Stratford and had the pleasure of being served by Paul M. The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor, but what truly stood out was Pauls exceptional service. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant not only for the tasty food but also for the amazing service provided by Paul.

The thing about Wahaca is that not only is the food superb, youre also guaranteed excellent service. The friendly Federica saw me to my seat and I was served by Ivan - both get a name-check because both were brilliant. Quick service, excellent food - obviously Ill be coming back.

We ve just had a lovely anniversary dinner at #wahaca Mexican restaurant. OMG! If you haven t eaten at a Wahaca, you must give it a go. The staff were exceptional and very attentive. The food was so flavourful, the spice levels delivered exactly as we d enquired about. The atmosphere was so warm, friendly and very, Day of the Dead. We chatted to a lovely lady outside the restaurant, she was eagerly eyeing up the menu, and then we spoke about Thomasina Myers, the first Masterchef winner who started and owns Wahaca. We went in to eat, shortly afterwards, the lady we talked to outside came in for a table for one, my wife and I asked her if she wanted to join us, but she thanked us and declined as she needed to go to work after eating. Later on she said cheerio when she left and said enjoy your evening. When we had finished and asked Huni, our waiter, for the bill, he told us that our bottle of wine had been paid for by the lady we d been talking to. She told him not to tell us until we were leaving, and told him it s because we were so kind to her. Flabbergasted and very appreciative. It costs nothing to be kind, we didn t think we were being kind, we thought we were being us. This is the only opportunity we will get to try and say thank you to that wonderful lady who paid for our wine.

Review: I recently dined at Wahca Stratford, and it was hands-down one of the best Mexican dining experiences I ve had for a long time. From the authentic flavors to the vibrant ambiance, every detail was exceptional. Our server, Julio N., was a true standout. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Julio made fantastic recommendations and was attentive throughout our meal. Wahca is a must-visit. With servers like Julio and food this good, I can t recommend it highly enough! Visited here today with my son. Was asked if anyone had an allergy and told them my son has an egg allergy. To start with we thought the meal would go well as the waiter said we would be seen by the manager to discuss the allergy. Told them again my son had an egg allergy we were advised that the meal would come with allergen labels. Once the food started to arrive everything had an allergen label even the tender-stem broccoli, although this did have nuts in it very obviously had no egg. We were then left to decide which of the dishes were safe for my son to eat because they obviously just labelled everything that could be classed as an allergen and not highlighted which dishes had egg. I understand it may be a bit of a pain but if the time was taken for a second person to check what we were ordering then how difficult is it for the kitchen to advise which dishes contain a certain ingredient. While the food was enjoyable and the staff were polite it makes you wonder how much is cooked on the premises and how well the staff know what they are actually serving. If I had attended this restaurant with others the review would be completely different as this kind of lack of insight would not be noticed.

I visited Wahaca Stratford with high expectations. The food was tasty, though the portion sizes felt a little on the small side for what you pay. There was a bit of a delay with our main courses, but our waitress, Gopika Prakash, made the experience much better with her attentive and friendly service. She kept us informed and made sure we were comfortable throughout. While the wait was a bit longer than we d hoped, her excellent service made up for it. Overall, a decent meal with great service!
