A really lovely evening for our 20th wedding anniversary. Thank you for the gesture at the end of the meal, it just makes these days a little more memorable and special. Superb food and excellent service.

It was very lovely and perfect! The attention to details was amazing. The diner was exquise and they even left a birthday card on the table for our special occasion! Couldn t ask for a better evening. The price is very affordable for such a good quality. I will absolutely come back!

Nice place to take someone special

British food is known as a food desert, with nothing much to offer except blood sausage, boiled beans, potatoes, and fish and chips. During this trip, I was amazed by the dinner at a British restaurant called The Pem recommended by a friend in London. The waiter introduced that the restaurant is named after Pem, a feminist activist who fought for British womens right to vote in the 18th century. Female chefs and female supervisors are also special features of this restaurant. The taste of the dishes is very innovative in traditional British cuisine, and every dish on the menu is marked with calories.

Its just perfect. Especially service and staffs are so kind and helpful.

Personally, I think the restaurant is great. Price / performance = top I have already eaten in many TOP restaurants and can say that the prices for London are very modest for such good cuisine. The service was also very attentive and friendly. I can only recommend it. Especially if you want to eat something like this in London for affordable money. *This recession is my personal view*

We really enjoyed the new, Spring tasting menu. All at such a reasonable price too, given the quality of the food, expertise and location. Service was fabulous, and we were even treated to a visit by the lady herself. Michelin stars are sure to come soon. Excellent.

Great food! I started with the asparagus tart and grilled cod for main. Everything was done beautifully with impeccable presentations. Their sourdough bread was to die for. It was very fluffy with a thin crispy crust. probably one of the best restaurant bread Ive had! Service was mostly great. Everyone was nice and attentive. The somm though... May be it was a quiet night and he got bored, but he was quite a mansplainer. I ordered a bottle of white burgundy and his immediate reaction was to warn me that this wine isnt very oaky. I responded saying that I know, thats why i ordered it. Then he continued to mansplain how wines are made and what made them oaky without prompt. Im not sure what about me that made him assume I liked oaky chardonnays, or why he would assume that I dont know how wine was made. Or may be he was just trying to make conversation and kept me company before my friend arrived. Either way, I appreciated his company. But could do with a bit less mansplaining before dinner.

Had a drink here with my partner as we returned to the Conrad hotel next door. The window seats were pretty for a relaxing evening but according to the staff, it required reservations and were highly sought after. The bar seats and the table just in front of the bar counter should be the next best. As for the drinks, they were solid. Well curated and executed by the bartender. The service was also attentive and overall, I had a good after dinner experience here.

Amazing karaoke

Fantastic food in lovely setting, but somewhat spoiled by the attitude of the sommelier - after politely declining to order champagne we opted to share a bottle of Riesling which seemed to upset him. Further interactions were stilted, he would huff impatiently when clearing away our glasses when one wasn t finished, and didn t come back to take another order. It was a shame as the rest of the staff were really friendly and professional.

Very Good

Went for a mid week lunch and it was very quiet but the food and service were top notch.

Epicurean by nature, from Brussels. I loved all the dishes offered during the New Years menu. Research in flavors, dressing with finesse and elegance. Perfect balance and seasoning. Cozy setting, 5-star service, discreet and efficient, worthy of the setting and the cuisine. Thank you for this sumptuous moment. .

Booked here on a whim wanting fancy British food on our first trip to the UK last October and were impressed by everything. The food tasted very pure and clean and hearty, the service was amazing. The staff was very diverse and warm. First meal on our honeymoon and we couldn t have been happier.

Absolutely incredible experience we had at the pem, we went on with the new years eve special menu and It was 10/10, the service was 11/10 everything was fantastic. It is expensive but I honestly believe It is worth to try atleast once.

Sally Abé is helm at the Pem, who is the Chef to Watch in the National Restaurant Awards 2019. Her foods are full of flavours, not yet Micheline standard, but you can taste her ambitions in the direction. We had Christmas lunch there this year, quite impressed, but there is still space to improve. The service team are friendly, but need to work more on the communications and neat service flow; the wine steward is alright... We are not experts with wines pairing, but we had enough experiences to tell how good wines are paired that impacts with the right dishes which in our experience was not the best example. He selected the most expensive one, but not the best one for our dishes which I understand that is from sale point not always the best to the food that we are eating

We both went for the plant based tasting menu and were given an amazing selection of dishes that were delicious and bursting with flavour. We were looked after incredibly well. Service is impeccable. A comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We will be visiting again soon for sure.

Didnt plan to go there, and I dont regret it. Terribly efficient in a lot of ways. Thank you for that evening

Out of this world

We enjoyed our dinner at The Pem. The service was great throughout. The ambiance was very nice as the restaurant is divided into a lot of smaller spaces so it feels cozy. The mushroom soufflé and langoustine dishes were the highlight. Their house bread was also delicious! The sommelier was very knowledgeable while their wine list was extensive and reasonably priced as well.

Had a really great experience here, the food was beautiful, fresh and delicious. I m used to American wines but the sommelier here recommended an Austrian white wine which was complex and delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff- loved it.

The service was impeccable, and the presentation of the dishes was outstanding. A must-visit for food enthusiasts.

The Pem is an upscale restaurant in a Hilton Hotel. Do dress up in your finest. Its not a jeans/ t-shirt place. Its quintessential elegance. There are at least 6 servers taking care of you, all excellent. All female Chefs. Be prepared for a non-traditional menu with things like Nettle Soup, Lambs heart, Artichoke with truffles, etc. You have to be an adventurous eater at The Pem. Dinner & drinks for 3 cost over $600US. My favorite dish was a Strawberry Cheesecake dessert. Over the moon!

Very nice customer service. A very nice dining restaurant. 5-stars lovely place. Dietary restrictions: Thy make you a different type of food without diary if you were intolerant .. For example the butter is different 1 of 2 is with diary and 2 is without diary.

Had an lovely dinner with my wife, nice comfortable interior with a fresh colour palette (none of the pretentious ornate stuff), the fishes were exquisite, starter or main. The pigeon was cooked perfectly and the mains were prepared carefully, plating perhaps a little more creativity could happen no rush, but OMG!!! the desserts were the best, forget everywhere else with any stars, the desserts are just incredible! Brilliant combination of textures and it closed the palate nicely. I think with a little more focus on atmosphere and a bit more reputation going this place is onto be a real winner. How exciting to see this moving forward. (Update 2023, this place needs a star! )

In a nutshell: Nice decor but punchy prices and small portions! Approx. £70pp , excluding wine/ drinks for 3 courses. An evening of dining in style @thepemrestaurant @littlechefsally @conradlondonsj with our dear friends - an enjoyable evening of great company, Rhône wine, and food including freshly baked wholemeal bread with wild garlic butter, scallops, Dorset crab, sirloin with oysters, pork belly, quail, white chocolate dessert, light chocolate sponge, and cheese selection! ... Chef Sally, you and your team have done an amazing job with the resign and was a perfect time to visit 2 days after reopening. Thanks to MD, Allen, and Valeria for your warm hospitality - and for organising dairy free versions of my choices for me (J) including my fab vegan chocolate sponge with raspberries & blackberry and raspberry sorbet & orange jelly petit four. Living in London as an American for over 25 years Ive cooked at home and also tried many so called American Thanksgiving meals at many fine restaurants. This evening has exceeded all, even my own cooking. Chef Sally Abé and team created an inventive yet traditional meal to enchant and delight. Hard combo! The hotel as wed expect from a Conrad is exceptional and the meal as well. All the staff are experienced and professional but the food is the star! Amazing presenting of gorgeous full flavor on food! Adored the family style service - much like my own family. Chef Sally Abé even popped round to our table so we could appreciate our thanks. Bow! Mention the lovely room as well. Flawless evening, cuisine and service.

We had a wonderful evening dining at The Pem. The food was delicious - the crab starter in particular was sublime and there was a special service of dessert which we really enjoyed. The service was excellent and we look forward to returning soon.

Had a memorable celebratory lunch at The Pem today with my wife. Food was delicious with the dressed crab and veal tartare going down very well as starters. The freshly baked bread was light, fluffy and full of flavour, made all the more delicious with the whipped cream and oil spread. Mains of perfectly cooked venison and Cornish Monkfish were perfectly portioned and accompanied by tasty veg. Desert of poached pear, crumb, cream and a toffee sauce was accompanied by a glass of South African Sticky. Service was outstanding with attentive servers who were totally dialled in with the diners! Only reason it s not straight 5s is that while the furniture is comfortable, the hotel decor feels like it needs to be smartened up a tad to meet the standards of the food! We use The Pem for private dining functions. The food is excellent, the decor is lovely, great location and the team are brilliant. The Pem is now our number 1 go to for business events in Westminster.

I Discovered this place by happenstance and Im so glad. I wanted to try British food that wasnt chips and chips. Great discovery! The ambiance was casual and upscale, the food was exceptional, the service above and beyond.

Exquisite food and wine! . The service is exceptional and we opted for wine pairing to compliment our food. The waitress I assume was also a trained sommelier as her wine knowledge paired my taste well. Each time 2 wines were bought over to try and so you can chose a preference. This was based on the initial description of your taste. Beautiful decor and embiance. It was my birthday and there was a card signed my all the chefs which was a lovely touch as well as a mini dessert.

Second time visiting The Pem Restaurant and the experience gets better and better. We wanted to visit and experience the food that Sally Abe produced on the TV show Great British menu. We was not disappointed. The food and presentation was amazing and the staff were first class. James the sommelier was very knowledgeable and knew what we would like. Very much looking forward to visiting again to taste the new menu and why this restaurant doesn t have a Michelin star is beyond me. Very highly recommend and Sally came out to meet us which was the icing on the cake.

I had high expectations given the chefs, Sally Abes, track record. Nothing terrible, has potential, just not quite as sharp as youd expect. Food was served even though a member of our party (of 3) was absent, but not poured wine, then it was a bit of a chore to get his glass filled up for a toast, which was a little awkward. Too long a wait between starter and main, and again had to chase up. (not a full restaurant) In terms of food, we were very excited about the wild mushroom souffle, however this starter is more akin to a flan (or sformatino) in terms of form. Not offensive by any means, just not an airy puff of earthy goodness; to top it off, it literally gets suffocated by a dollop of something-or-rather cream. The deer and beef were great, unfortunately we had to ration our last drops of wine as we had already consumed most of it during the post-flan intermission. Wine list, would have liked to see more English sparkling options.

The food! The staff! The environment Everything was perfect!

Incredible. Swanky, moody and delicious: not just a dinner but a proper night out. The dishes have the detail and depth of flavour you may find in Michelin-star establishments and found some of the ones we tried to have the potential to become instant classics like the mackerel and lobster, both in the starters, beef in the mains and apricot custard tart in the deserts. Wonderful flavours, surprisingly well balanced: totally loved the way how the primary flavours were enhanced rather than masked by cooking techniques. Difficult to pull off and it was masterfully done, bravo chef! The wine list did what a wine list does best: it intrigued me (Orange wine from Greece? Yes please and fantastic!). Overall what my company and I loved the most was the vibe. We chatted the night away, with the music gently picking up throughout the hours we had been at our table and enjoyed a perfect service from the staff. The service was so good it was unreal: everyone interacted with us, special mention to James, the wonderful sommelier, and managed to never be intrusive. They were knowledgeable but most importantly, attentive. They punctuated our conversation, with humour and care, like in a well orchestrated theatre production: we eagerly took it in. Overall, it was an evening of light-hearted fun, the sort we had been missing for months and Im so ever grateful for that. Well done to The Pem and wish you every success!

Absolutely loved it. Ive had food from Chef Sally Abe before at The Harwood Arms so we were very keen to visit The Pem and try some of her teams fine dining delicassies. The presentation of the food is stunning and the combination of British flavours are superb. The rose veal was by far my favourite starter and the John Dory was phenomenal as a main. Particularly happy with the John Dory as it is quite tricky to not overcook and end with a dry, chewy finish. The wine menu is ideal and theres plenty of perfect, affordable choices for each dish. I was surprised to see some sweet wines from southern Spain that one often doesnt see in London, such as from the hills of Malaga. The quality to price ratio is also really good considering this is food made by one of Britains finest. Service was 10/10 which is surprising considering the restaurant is brand new and one can expect the odd confusion or delays here and there but we had none of that so considering we were a party of 6, that was quite impressive. Looking foreward to coming again. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Beautiful restaurant , the art décor inspired restaurant was stunning. The service was impeccable and there were really nice touches like showing you where to go personally rather than giving directions, true 5 star standard. The food for me and my wife while delicious just didnt quite hit the mark we expected at this price level. The lobster starter was lovely but my wife felt there was too much mousse and not enough lobster. I enjoyed my beef mains dish and the dessert was very good but not spectacular. I still would recommend this restaurant as is its a lovely setting as both me and my wife enjoyed our date night.

Staff were really lovely, professional and helpful throughout the night. Not over-bearing and knew exactly when to approach or help. Really great service.

Visited as part of an American Express evening and couldnt believe the excellent value of the experience. A place run by amazing, inspiring women with fantastic plates from start to finish.

First time at the pem to celebrate an anniversary. Been wanting to try Sally abes new restaurant for a while. Good vibe in the dining room and everything was very slick. Friendly staff and a great sommelier. Menu had good variety and the food was also very nice. Lost a star because its very very expensive. We had a good time here but felt it to be lacking for the price point. Not sure if we will return but worth a trip to see for yourself
