Apricity, is a Michelin Green star, low-waste restaurant from chef owner, Chantelle Nicholson and team. Apricity symbolises regeneration, warmth, generosity and light which reflects in both the menu and the space. The restaurant continues Chantelle’s commitment to running a socially conscious endeavour with her team of innovative and like-minded people, who also share her values of a sustainable lifestyle. Menus are created using regenerative produce at the height of season from small-scale farmers, with a low-waste approach to cooking. The restaurant is perfectly located in the heart of Mayfair for shoppers or theatre goers and is situated in a haven just off Oxford Street. Dogs are warmly welcomed.
Everything was amazing. We had the 5-course lunch special and were left full and pleased. The food and service were fantastic. Loved hearing that the restaurant tried to limit waste and make beautiful delicious food from leftover ingredients. Really yummy, with a cosy, pleasant atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
This place is amazing! If you’re interested to try an affordable Green Michelin Star - this is the place. Menu changes often, with great variety, explosion of flavours and tastes
Nice-looking restaurant with attentive staff but the food was a bit average sadly. Most egregiously the £42 duck breast was a measly 5 tiny bites of meat, with a tartlet which was poorly balanced, with a heavy thick base and a crumbly charred filling. The picture tells the story. The butterhead lettuce was well presented, but lacking much flavour, which was also the case with the beautifully prepared sardines. I also had the scallop starter (which were 3 scallop discs, ie they were sliced through once, maybe even twice) and they were tasty but no bread provided to soak up the sauce. We ordered the sourdough, but it was also a bit heavy and doughy. We enjoyed the mac & kim-cheese and the desserts, plus the cocktails were reasonable. We spent a fair bit on the a la carte menu but for the price I can't say that we would be enthusiastic to return.
Absolutely delicious meal tonight at 📍Apricity in Marylebone Using sustainable produce at the height of season from small-scale farmers and locally foraged ingredients. All with a low-waste approach to cooking 🙌🏼 Our favourites were the sweetcorn and scallop dishes. I also loved the crispy mushroom dish 🤤 First class service all night too!
The ambiance and decoration is clean, fresh and simple. We had the incredibly good value lunch-time special 5 course tasting menu. The was beautifully presented and very tasty, with a special shout out to the hoggot. The one negative is there is only one toilet so can lead to queuing for it. But there is a baby changing space in it. Service was friendly, informative and efficient.
Had a wonderful lunch at Apricity. Thank you to the whole team :) PB tasting menu was unreal; accompanied by a lovely bottle of Vinho Verde!!! We will be back for sure!
A warm friendly welcome with fantastic food and service. My son had the kids tasting menu which he gave five stars and has asked to go back. We hope to return again soon. A special thank you to the front of house and kitchen staff that made us feel very special, my son especially enjoyed his kitchen tour. A day to remember!
Gorgeous little restaurant. Genuinely dog friendly. We were all made to feel very welcome and Dave (our dog) was even presented with a special treat on arrival. The staff were amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about sustainability. The attention to detail was fantastic; from the decor to the plating. We had the 7 course tasting menu, choosing mostly vegan with some fish dishes - and absolutely loved every dish. Would highly recommend this restaurant and hope to return again soon🌟
We had a WONDERFUL experience and all our groups needs were carefully considered and catered for. We hugely enjoyed and appreciated the staffs hard work and exquisite food!
Absolutely fabulous! Such an experience to sit at the Chefs table. Food and service outstanding
Overall my review on a certain incident I have been in your restaurant in the past I work in one of the embassies around the area I always come with my clients to your restaurant unfortunately never again as I walked in wearing smart clothing waited for the waiters come and asked me if I want a table or I have a booking Ive got asked if I can use the restroom the answer was only for our customers sorry youre not allowed in our toilet as a professional business open for public you have all the right to accept or refuse entry and at the same time I have all the rights to leave my review thank you very much but never visit you again.
Best in London
Very good options with fresh local products. Removing a star as I had trouble digesting my meal twice which is unusual so there seems to be something wrong. Same for my partner
Staff were amazing and fantastic again. Recommendations and discussions of the food and wine made for such a warm and wonderful experience. Making lunch a joy and a pleasure. The food was exceptional, and wonderful and so interesting. We love that it is all so local and seasonal. Thank you Team Apricity.
I came back a second time a year after but it was truly a disappointment. Tried the tasting menu at £85 and I left the restaurant still hungry.. the portions got so much smaller and some of the food was not even great (the Ox was very dry and the Fish Hake was ok..). Few more things to note for the manager. After spending £200 for two people I am surprised to see you charged for the tap water?? And finally it was very rude to let us go get our jackets and bags from the rack where you left them. We are not coming back..
Beautiful little restaurant, amazing food, lovely staff! Would absolutely come back here. And also fantastic sustainability initiative!
Delicious tasting menu for lunch and went above and beyond to ensure all allergies were catered for and safely managed. Thank you!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Definitely coming back ! Food
We had the tasting menu (5 courses). Although it was tasty, we think that the portions were too small and the price not justified. The staff was very attentive and the wine pairing was excellent. We paid 180 pounds per person for a 5 course menu with wine pairing and a side dish.
Fantastic little restaurant with really fabulous food. We had one vegetarian option and one meat option and both were equally delicious and both felt very seasonal in terms of the ingredients. The starter and main were so delicious we decided to get a dessert as well because we knew it would be great (which it was)! Highly recommended!
Great service, wonderful wine and food pairings. Every dish on the lunch tasting menu was exquisite.
Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and brilliant wine. Highly recommend.
Was very quiet the night I went, staff very nice and considerate. Food was tasty although a bit steeply priced for some items. The tasting menu probably would have been better value in hindsight
Stunning experience at Apricity - thank you so much! Delicious courses with an incredible range of flavours and beautiful wine pairing, and excellent host and sommelier. Will be recommending to friends for a special occasion!
All the food was delicious. The service was relaxed and friendly and also efficient including the information given about each wine. We will definitely be returning to have the 7 course tasting menu and wine flight.
Fantastic food and service, we really enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely return :)
We enjoyed our meal - great food and very attentive service. Highly recommend.
I was having lunch on my own, and was given the table in the corner at the window, which was absolutely perfect. Food was absolutely delicious and staff were friendly and attentive. The only reason that I gave the ambience four stars instead of five was because it was lunchtime and probably not quite so buzzy as evening. I ordered some Davenport wine when I got home to Glasgow, thanks to the sommelier s suggestion of the wine I had with lunch. I look forward to visiting Apricity again when I am next in London.
Simply great
Absolutely incredible meal at Apricity. We were made to feel so welcome, engaged in the story of the food and wine - but given enough room to enjoy quality time with friends around that. Beautiful spot for a special occasion
What a fabulous 7 course tasting menu. Fantastic food, brilliantly balanced, great portion size and great tempo bringing the courses out. Absolutely love the Sustainability focus. Vegetarian options: Wonderful vegetarian tasting menu and non plant based options for every course. A first where there is a choice of course for each tasting.
One of my favourite dining experiences in London to date! The food was incredible - delicious and unique flavours. The service was spot on as well. Everyone was attentive, well informed, and friendly, and made great wine recommendations throughout the evening. It felt like a special occasion meal in a relaxed atmosphere, without being stuffy or over the top. Really looking forward to enjoying another meal here.
My favourite restaurant in London. The food is inventive and delicious and the service is attentive but not intrusive
The whole experience was fantastic! Thank you to Chantelle and the team.
Top notch on every level! The service and team (Robin and Anna) were personable and professional. The food was possibly the best Ive ever eaten. The wine was delicious. The whole story and thought that has gone into Apricity is incredible. Blown away!! Were already telling everyone about you guys - brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Dietary restrictions: We both had the plant based options on the tasting menu - incredible!!
Marg and Robin greeted us with wonderful smiles and were super courteous. Robins wine pairing with the 5 course tasting menu we did was absolutely stunning. He is a real asset to the restaurant. We loved the fact that Millie also popped up to serve the dishes and explain the ingredients to us. We cannot pick a favourite because the ingredients and flavourings were so balanced that its difficult to rate each plate. Bravo and thank you for a wonderful experience.
The food was outstanding. We had the tasting menu, one of our party was vegan and said it was the best restaurant food they d had. The service was very good. We arrived early and we were the first there so it was a little quiet to begin with but the atmosphere improved as more people arrived. We were celebrating our son s graduation. The complementary petit fours were a lovely touch. Thank you team Apricity we will return.
First class restaurant - with excellent food and friendly service. Very quiet on a Saturday afternoon, but I suspect its much buzzier during an evening.
Awesome experience. Loved it. We will be back.
Our waiter Frankie was warm, knowledgeable and great fun, as was the sommelier. Food was incredible with some amazing storytelling behind the menu - thank you for an amazing meal.
I love apricity and highly recommend it
We had dinner on the Chef s table downstairs , delicious and many vegan and plant based options. Great team who looked after us very well
Vegetarian options: Vegan tasting menu Food
First visit. Opted for the 7 course tasting menu. Everything was first class. Friendly and informed service, intimate atmosphere & sensational food both in terms of presetation & taste.
Dietary restrictions: Really great option for high end dining for vegan food in london. Possibly the best, definitely the best I ve tried! Food : 5/5
Fantastic dinner and a wonderful introduction to tasting menus for my niece such a brilliant concept and she is raving about going down to the kitchen to meet Chantelle!
We had the most delicious dinner, with the freshest vegetables I have ever had in London bar those from a friend s allotment. The food is choc full of imagination and surprises. My mackerel was the best I have ever eaten. The waiting staff are friendly and knowledgeable and clearly interested in and passionate about the food and wine. Furthermore, being of a certain age, we were able to hear the conversation at the table! This was a truly lovely experience, to be repeated very soon. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available and the chef will adapt dishes.
Thank you for a delightful lunch last Thursday. We were new to Apricity and didnt know what to expect. We were delighted and will certainly return. We had the tasting menu and, for me, the aubergine, the hogget and the fig leaf panna cotta stood out. Inventive combinations of delicious food beautifully served.
This was my second visit to Apricity! Still fantastic food and lovely service.
Extraordinary! Superb selection, presentation and prepare to awake tastebuds !
The food was absolutely excellent, the wine pairings were on point, and Robin was a delight to have as our server. I couldnt ask for a more knowledgeable or personable sommelier! The dishes were both creative, innovative, and delicious, and I will definitely return when Im back in London next. And til then, Ill recommend Apricity to any and all of my friends! Vegetarian options: In fact, I preferred the vegetarian options to those with meat, even though I am not strictly vegetarian!
Absolutely blown away by the delicious 7 course tasting menu at chefs table. I loved having each course introduced by the knowledgeable chefs. And our sommelier was full of cheeky personality. Each mouthful was amazing. Vegetarian options: I really didn t feel like an after thought as a vegetarian. The food was so good.
Wonderful staff, creative, delicious food, with a deep understanding of flavors and presentation. Loved it!
A really superb lunch, every course was delicious, and very pleased with the plant-based options.
10/10 restaurant - delicious food with a lot of thought behind each dish and the wine pairings, with the sommelier being very knowledgeable about both. we were well cared for and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. would definitely recommend !
Fantastic meal - thank you so much for looking after us all. Food, service, wine, ethos - and so friendly. We will be back.
Beautifully curated tasting menu dishes. Theres a big percentage of vegetarian or plant-based food which were so good you almost forgot about ordering meat or fish All of our servers were wonderful, relaxed and attentive Our sommelier was superb: very knowledgeable My wife and I had a terrific experience. Wed love to come again We also love that other diners were allowed to bring their dogs!
We had an incredible, delicious meal at Apricity. The hospitality was wonderful and we cannot wait to come back!
What a gem! The food is delicious
Disappointing. Extremely greasy, over priced, not worth the trip.
Amazing food and friendly and knowledgable staff. Beautifully restaurant, I highly recommend Apricity!
Love, love, love nothing to add really but that I hope to be back.
Eaten in a few Michelin star restaurants and this was easily as good and better than some. Food fairly priced. Wine expensive. Staff knowledgeable about menu and just the right level of attentiveness. Would recommend and hope to return.
One of the best experience we ve had lately, I can t recommend it more. Great food and extremely professional team. We loved all the wines we tried, the sommelier is amazing. Moreover, it was my birthday and they also brought me a surprise. Best b-day dinner I ve had for a long time! We ll come back for sure!
Sustainability is the theme from recycled coke bottles used to make the chairs to locally sourced raw products. A restaurant with an ethically focus and good food makes for an enjoyable experience. Try I e been back a few time !
Generally a bit disappointing. Some of the food was nice but none of it was good enough for the price. If you charge £10 for 4 slices of bread don t sent it out with frozen butter. Had the 5 course taster (2 desserts) it was fine but some not great bits. Lamb brioche was a thumbs down from whole table and rhubarb dessert wasn t great. Wine started at £40 for a bottle of unpleasant wine and had to spend 88 for something decent. If it was half the price would be fine but for where they are it s not good enough. Personal gripe - I like to put my phone away when dining not use it to access the menu. Lockdowns over guys..
Fabulous creative but not overly complicated food, lovely service and some unusual finds on the wine list which are a pleasure to drink
Everything is super sustainable, incredibly friendly and delicious
Shhh. Don t tell everyone - best food in London!
Absolutely delicious food and flavours. Excellent staff and service. We look forward to a return visit. Thank you. Vegetarian options: Fabulous Sussex tomatoes served with a granita of the pickling juice, simple fresh and utterly delicious
Absolutely delicious food and flavours. Excellent staff and service. The Sommelier was especially pleasant and helpful. We look forward to a return visit. Thank you.
Really loved the food, very tasty. Also liked how the ethos of the restaurant really came through across all areas, i.e. choice of ingredients, crockery, furniture, wines, menus. Very relaxed and friendly service, not too pushy but also attentive. Wine choice was excellent also, will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: Great choice of vegan options
We were delightfully surprised by the inventive and creative cuisine. Excellent wines that paired well with our dishes. The chicken liver pate was excellent. The duck breast was amazing!!! Vegetarian options: The rhubarb dessert had cashew cream with rhubarb granita. Absolutely fabulous.
We had the 5 course taster with wine to celebrate a birthday. Every dish was incredible and the wines along with their introductions were amazing. Special thanks to Robin for making it a fantastic experience.
Wow! What an amazing experience, the food, the pairings, the staff. I will be recommending Apricity to everyone. This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in London in a very long time and the ethos of the whole establishment is impeccable. Dietary restrictions: They will flex the menu for any dietary restrictions and are extremely accommodating..
Completely delicious, fresh vibrant creative. Great depth of flavour and lovely range of textures. Full recommendation
A very special restaurant - enjoyed by all our guests - great food and service
Amazing food and wine but the service from Robin and Zack was even better than that! A lovely venue and vibe too.
Amazing plant based tasting menu. Impeccable service. A must go to restaurant for everyone who a appreciates good food. Food doesnt get any better than this. Vegetarian options: Many P-B options
Amazing and tasty food. Dishes are made with great care and great attention to detail.
Excellent food and very friendly service. We really enjoyed our evening at Apricity. The 5 course tasting menu was great value for such good food and wonderful flavours.
Dining here was an absolute treat - we were particularly impressed with the delicious variety of vegetarian options - great flavour combinations and perfectly presented. Excellent and interesting wine list with plenty of lovely non alcoholic drinks too. Very nice ambience and fantastic friendly knowledgable staff. We travelled from Australia and will definitely visit Apricity next time we come to London. Thoroughly recommended! Vegetarian options: inventive vegetarian dishes with great flavour combinations
Gorgeous food, super wine pairings even with individual preferences taken care of and very helpful and lovely staff. Suitable to dine alone.
Highly recommended!
Great service and food :) really enjoyed the options in the tasting menu
Everything was delicious and inventive, the service was outstanding! I will definitely be back!
Lovely family meal out. Amazing flavours with the two plant based desserts as the stand outs. Lamb dish was also excellent
Great 5 course meal last night on a Thursday. The wine pairings were perfect. The two dishes I wish to try and recreate are the asparagus, smoked tofu puree, black garlic, focaccia crumb; and the beetroot custard, rosemary and virunga chocolate sorbet. A newly created dish, the Cheswell Grange bavette needs to be a bit more tender for my liking. Although expensive, I will certainly return for special occasions.
Exceptional food and service. Truly superb!
This is without doubt the best restaurant I ve ever been to. If you look and food and wine as an adventure, every dish and drink at Apricity tells an amazing story. The staff are unbelievably knowledgeable, incredibly friendly and have curated something really special. Whilst it is not cheap you really are delivered an experience where you get full value for money, something which is very difficult to find in current times. There are absolutely no faults and I will be rushing back. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.
We had a fantastic dinner at the chefs table. Loved hearing about each course from a different chef and being able to see the food being prepared.
Absolutely fabulous! Will be back for more. Love the whole philosophy behind Apricity. Thank you for enabling me to spend my money in line with my values.
Great food, very attentive and kind staff, lovely atmosphere! Had options that everyone enjoyed and easily the best vegan-friendly restaurant Ive been to in London
What a wonderful restaurant with great food and atmosphere.
Pleasant service and nice wine served
Randomly discovered this gem walking around on a sunny Saturday hunting for a terrace and came back on the Tuesday for more. Just one of the best mushroom dish I ve ever had the luxury to try and such a wonderful and thoughtful service too ! And they are sustainable from plate all the way to the loos. Will be back again (and again!) and will recommend profusely. [the price quoted accounts for a delicious 3 course meal] Vegetarian options: Tried all the veggie starters and they were excellent (asparagus and romain were our favourites). I ve had the oyster mushrooms twice and it hits all the right notes: crispy, flavoursome and full of textures!
The food was so so good, I tried all the vegan plates and recommend each one of them.
Great service. Unpretentious. This worked as a dinner with a friend The food though is amazing. I had the butterhead lettuce and the oyster/mushroom. Both were amazing and such new food experiences Food
4 of us dined here last night and it was spectacular. From the wine recommendations, to the starters all the way through desserts it did not miss a beat. You have to get the scallops and lamb if you go! Service was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. As an added bonus, they were very dog friendly and accommodated my larger dog in a back table. I will note that even though the restaurant is dog friendly, we were the only ones there with a dog. So if you re worried about dining with a bunch of dogs, you probably wouldn t even notice they were allowed. With dog friendly restaurants, sometimes you have to make sacrifices in terms of quality of food or ambiance, but Apricity really impressed us. We will be back for sure!
The environment is very good. The food for me is okayish. However my friends enjoyed their dishes very much. I ordered the skate wings and I found it had a very subtle smelly scent, which I did not enjoy. However I do like the starter, the Pollock, very much. The service is good and the waiters are all very friendly. I consider it relatively expensive given one cocktail costs about £18. My order with a starter (sharing with one of my friends), the main, one cocktail and a tea costs a bit less than £80. I would go to a less expensive restaurant and probably have the same experiences.
Apricity This was a fantastic return visit to Apricity where the food and service was once again amazing. Using the finest British ingredients to put together a menu of unique flavours makes this restaurant somewhere I could return to many more times in the future. Situated on Duke Street just a couple of minutes from Bond Street Station is where you ll find Apricity. On entering there will be a friendly welcome waiting for you before being shown to your table. The food style as I said use s amazing british produce and prides itself on being a low waste restaurant. This is what has earned them a Michelin Green Star. The wine list is full of incredible natural wines that you will find hard to beat. On our previous visits we have opted for the tasting menu which at £90 for 7 courses in Mayfair is excellent value for money. On this occasion we decided to go for the A la Carte that on average is £70 for 3 courses and also good value. Starters - Hand Dived Firth of Clyde Scallops and the Venison Croquette Mains - Cornish Brill with broccoli and apple plus the Kori Cured Cornish Sardines we accompanied these dishes with Pink Fir Potatoes and Purple Sprouting Broccoli Cheese Course - We decided to add an extra course and enjoyed the Fen Farm Baron Bigod. Desserts - Poached forced Kentish Rhubarb and the Caramelised Edel Weiss white chocolate baked mousse Wine - Sommelier Zoe recommended to us a fabulous Cami del Drac 2022 Carignan Blanc that was full of fruit , floral flavours with a slight hint of herbs which complemented the food perfectly. I finished with the evening with a Peach Old Fashioned to bring to and end a fantastic evening. The food created by chef / owner Chantelle and her team is incredible , in Zoe and Robin you have two amazing sommeliers who look after you throughout your visit. This really is a restaurant I would highly recommend and looking forward to many more visits in the future. Thank You Chantelle , Zoe , Robin and all the team for a wonderful evening and look forward to seeing you again soon.
We visited for a Culinary Kids lesson and meal with my 8 year old son and his friend. The lesson was fascinating, the kids learnt a lot and had a great time, topped off with them preparing their own doughnuts. Lunch after the lesson was excellent, we each had the lunchtime tasting menu and not a scrap of food was left on the plates. This is a fantastic experience for children where they can learn about sustainability and good food in a relaxed and friendly environment. We couldnt have been made to feel more welcome by the entire team!
Really. Terrible!!!! I have never eaten so bad and so expensive in my life. Dont go... on top of Carlism!!! How awful!!! The only thing is the very friendly staff.
Had such a lovely evening at Apricity! I took my partner for his birthday and we had the 5-course tasting menu. Everything tasted amazing and was presented so beautifully. My partner is very sustainable and always cooks with decent produce, so it was lovely experiencing a restaurant with the same values. Staff were very friendly and explained each dish to us really nicely and also helped us choose a lovely wine for the meal. They also heard it was my partner s birthday and brought out a cute birthday plate with a candle. Very happy with our experience here! :)
Very attentive and thoughtful service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable about the food they serve which added to the experience.
I had an absolutely lovely dining experience at Apricity! The food was both unpretentious and absolutely delicious. I had the butterhead lettuce with miso aioli and crispy peas and as someone who tends to find lettuce-based salads bland (and would never normally choose to eat lettuce) I can wholeheartedly say that lettuce has never tasted so good. All of the dishes I tried captured the ideal balance in each bite and were complimented perfectly by the great selection of wines. The hanging plants and mellow lighting in the restaurant lend a refined simplicity to the atmosphere and the lovely front of house servers make you feel right at home, contributing to an overall sense of cosiness and comfort. Highly recommend for food, atmosphere, and service alike!
Everything was delightful! Service and food was amazing and the location is stunning, cosy and warm
I went here for my 60th birthday with family. We had the Chefs 7 course tasting menu. We really enjoyed the environment, the sustainability aspects and the food. We enjoyed the fact that the whole ethos of the restaurant was explained and each course explained by the different chefs. It was a really affordable and enjoyable meal. I would definitely recommend and definitely go back. Vegetarian options: One member of the group was vegan and she really enjoyed her meal. I regularly eat plant based and would have had her meal in place of mine other than the Chouxnut dessert.
Outstanding
An incredible dining experience. The level of thought that has gone into the food, the space and the experience is next level.
LOVED this restaurant. Great for sustainability lovers & foodies alike.
Had a fantastic meal for my anniversary, made even better by Zac, who was so lovely. He made sure we had an absolutely great meal, and we ll definitely be back.
Thank you so much for a delicious meal and wonderful wine pairing! Everything tasted amazing and the wines complemented the dishes perfectly. The team looked after us so well and made sure we had a fantastic time. We look forward to coming back soon.
Delicious food, flavours and taste, attentive service. Inviting ambience. Highly recommended
Had the most lovely dinner here for my birthday. Completely excellent delicious food, lovely atmosphere, very kind service. Perfect. Highly highly recommend, everything we ate was incredible
recommended by a trusted friend, we visited and left very satisfied from the earthly yet innovative and elegant composition of the menu, the attentive staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant. We tasted the 5 course menu with wine pairing and all were superb. Bravo!
Delicious ! We had a great family evening at Apricity. We enjoyed the tasting menu! Each dish was tasty, precise, a treat! Our 2 and a half year old toddler also enjoyed the childrens menu. And attentive service that makes the evening perfect. We will come back!
This was an amazing experience. Each dish was packed with tons of flavor. I highly recommend it!
My second visit to Apricity and as good as the first time! Just a lovely feel to the restaurant, amazing food and very friendly staff. Thank you so much.
Order: cured seabass, butterhead, pollack, venison, short-rib Verdict: very honestly didnt love the vibes of the restaurant. Very quiet, very empty. But looking back on the food it was quite good. Apps were excellent across the board, venison perfectly cooked. Short-rib was a bit bland though.
We dined at the chefs table, (10 of us) which was my first Chefs table experience! It was a great experience with the table downstairs right outside the kitchen, so we could see the chefs preparing our food. Each dish was explained in terms of where the ingredients came from and why it was put together in terms of taste etc.. We also had the wine pairing which was also explained by the sommelier. All the food was DELICIOUS! I had the vegetarian main and it usual menu for the rest of the courses. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend the experience.
What an awesome place. Is was that good that even Jacinda Arden (former New Zealand Prime Minister) was there sat at the table next to us. Their low waste concept was evident with the food we were served. The waiting staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It was such a wonderful experience and our taste buds were simply delighted.
Wonderful restaurant - we highly recommend Vegetarian options: There is a plant-based tasting menu and a la carte menu. Very creative and flavorful vegetarian and vegan dishes. Food : 5/5 |
We had an absolute perfect evening. Delicious food. Sympathetic staff. Just all around wonderful. (Chef s table)
All the menu is incredible and amazing flavour! Restaurant in very environment friendly atmosphere and well greeting from all the staffs! They explained all the dishes are sustainable from the farm and kitchen! It was very interesting experience. I highly recommend this place to visit for not only nice food and wine but great hospitality as well. Vegetarian options: We had mushrooms, lettuce and celeriac dishes for veggie option! It was super delicious and very well presented with seasonal ingredients!
Extraordinary food. Unbelievable service. Beautiful interior. An evening that was perfect in every way. Dining as art.
Thoroughly enjoyed the chefs table interaction with us all. Hearing about the concept and ethos and provenance of the food made the experience extremely interesting. We will be back. Thank you all Vegetarian options: So many delicious courses Dietary restrictions: We selected fish and veggie but no milk products
The food was amazing, especially for the price point. Their vegetarian options were also done very well. Perfect for an intimate dinner
I had a wonderful meal at Apricity in December. Amazing food, warm welcome, wonderful and attentive staff. Can t recommend enough.
Indelible experience for Valentine s Day
It s rare for me to give five stars all round to a restaurant but Apricity definitely deserves these ratings. A friend and I tried the five-course tasting menu. Food, service and ambience were simply superlative. It was a wonderful experience. Here s a tip, we booked for 1730 and got a special price. Talking of tips, they add only 5% for service because all of us are paid well ! Never heard that before and was impressed. My advice try it!
We loved that they offer a childrens taster menu. Our daughter recently started watching Masterchef professional, so she really enjoyed the experience of tasting new and unusual dishes, prepared by chefs like the ones she watches on the show. Hardly anywhere seems to offer this. The food was delicious and the staff added immensely to the experience, explaining Apricitys minimal waste ethos, and how the dishes were prepared. Very affordable too! Overall a great experience: one wed happily do again.
A brilliant story, an incredible team, exceptionally presented and very tasty food and an imaginative wine selection. Robin the Somm is great. Thanks for everything.
This place exceeded my expectations in every way and were very helpful with my friends allergies - she loved it! Cant wait to go back, these people really know what theyre doing. Loved every dish and we had a lot of them. Take the sommeliers wine recommendations!
We went on a quiet night, and the service was quick and attentive. They have varied and good options of wines by the glass, and the sommelier was super nice and helpful. The food was good, although I would skip the sides that were dripping in oil.
My new favourite restaurant! Stunning food and impeccable service. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.
Food was exceptional, staff gave great advice from the wine list. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Vegetarian options: Great to have this much choice for vegetarians
Amazing service from initial booking to leaving the restaurant. Grateful to the whole team for helping me give my husband a wonderful birthday.
The best restaurant I have been to in London. The food was just outstanding, and the staff were excellent.
Very nice place with kind and professional service. Great food, very tasty and no ordinary
A unique and wonderful culinary a d dining experience. Run, do not walk to Apricity. You will not be disappointed.
We had the 5-course tasting menu which was an absolute joy with each course another wonderful surprise. Great service too and clearly a place that s full of passion for great, sustainable food and enjoyment. We ll be back for more, no doubt.
Incredibly tasty sustainable driven food with an interesting twist - macrobiotic/Japanese/natural - lots of vegetarian options as well as fresh fish and meats - the clever eco friendly interiors too deserve a mention. Lastly - what great service with staff who seem to be enjoying the task of hosting. Well done. Glad I finally made it.
Ingenious and delicious food, friendly and intelligent service, and so many clever ideas to avoid waste.
One of the best meals Ive ever had with amazing service. Also amazing to find a restaurant in central London where you can actually hear what the other person had to say!
The food was excellent, quite pricey but worth it. I ordered the sourdough beforehand, and that hit the spot. It came with a beignet, which was nice. I then ordered the scallops, which were also nice. But the highlight was the venison, which was wonderful. Flavoursome and only very slightly chewy. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice enough. The decor was a bit basic for such prices but I came for the food and thats all that really matters.
Thank you for looking after us so well last night for the 7 course chefs table. Every mouthful was delicious, we all disagreed on our favourite. It was so interesting to hear about the food we were eating and it was clear to see the care that had gone into every dish. You catered for our allergies so well and all the options for both food and non alcohol drinks were great. Thank you for giving us a window into your kitchen, we loved the experience. Dietary restrictions: Lots of substitutions but all delicious and you don t feel short changed.
We had the seasonal tasting menu between Christmas and new year. The chefs table, menu and selected wines were excellent especially as Apricity successfully catered for 1 vegan and 2 pescatarians in our party of 10. The team was remarkably serene and proficient, each menu item allowing the specialist chef to explain and present the course. The meal was fabulous, especially the crispy kale (no need to have this cooked any other way), the delicate Pollock, both show-stealers but trumped by the venison; mouth-wateringly divine! I would have no hesitation in coming back and recommending Apricity to anyone. All of my party were delighted with the food, service and ambience.
The experience was perfect. Food, service and ambience. We thought that offering a tasting of different wines before we made our choice was very thoughtful.
Lovely experience, and ability to go mostly veg/vegan if wanted, even with tasting menus. Reasonably priced and a great wine selection! The space is intimate and comfortable, the timing of the courses unrushed but without any clear gaps. Service very thorough, the team are right there whenever needed without being overbearing! Green Michelin star well earned.
Amazing food. Had the plant based tasting menu. A wonderful experience - we will be returning!
Apricitys commitment to sustainability, local sourcing and zero-waste could make it sound po-faced and worthy, but the foods just too darn playful, well-balanced and just outright delicious for that. Lovely, knowledgeable, fleet-footed service too. Go go go! Vegetarian options: Im vegetarian, and can attest to plants being the star of the menu. Theres real care and thought to the plant-based options on the menu; Ill need to go back multiple times to try them all!
Very good restaurant, food full of taste and fresh. The service is amazing with a warm and comfortable atmosfere. I would repete the experience
Legit Michelin level place with a much more relaxed atmosphere
Visited for the third time now, and the food is still amazing. Perfect combination of flavours and fresh produce all sourced from the UK make for an excellent dining experience in a nice relaxed setting.
Had an event here this evening. The canapés were AMAZING, drinks delicious and staff so attentive. Highly recommend!
Absolutely excellent meal - consistently delicious and very innovative dishes across the tasting menu. Very attentive and extremely friendly service. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again soon.
Google lists this as being open until 11 pm, however, the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm. So dont show up at 10:20 pm (to a mostly empty restaurant) or there will be no food. As a tourist it is hard to anticipate this. Walked a distance to get there too.
For a restaurant to cater so well for Vegans and Meat lovers i was really impressed. Staff were excellent , knowledgable and friendly they really enhanced our whole evening. The Food was outstanding from starters to desert (Wing Rib of Beef and Pear Tarte Tatin especially) Also a really excellent idea was that there is no service charge as they have factored it into the cost of the food already . I wanted to leave a tip for our lovely waitress and she declined saying its all been factored in already so they can be paid a proper wage , alot of Mayfair restaurants could learn from this approach !!! I cannot wax lyrical about this place more . Really looking forward to going back
Outstanding culinary experience. Food was amazing. Service was great very accommodating to our nut allergy
Absolutely wonderful no-waste restaurant. We ate a la carte and would come back for every option on offer (set menu for lunch, tasting menu, etc). Excellent value for the quality of service, product, etc. Staff was wonderful, charming, felt like sunshine. Feels like the kind of place that, once people find out about it, will be terribly difficult to get in so go now and often!! Vegetarian options: Tons. Honestly probably one of the best vegetarian menus in the city. Dietary restrictions: Great with restrictions, all labeled very clearly on the menu, and even offered to modify dishes we ordered for the non-restricted diners such that everyone could eat them, too.
Underwhelming food and wine. Flavours didnt really work. Each of the tasting menu items oscillated between bland to inedible. Wine of the week felt like it had been mixed with water. We were served by at least 5 people. Overly attentive staff meant there were constant interruptions to our conversation. The waiter was unable to recommend any wine and mistook a white for a red. Overall £208 would have been better spent elsewhere. Im afraid I cant recommend it.
Innovation personified - with the planet at the heart of what they do. Chantelle is an inspiration
Apricity earns acclaim because of its sustainability ethos and it excels in those moment when the food focuses on its vegetarian selection. The meat and fish tasting menu is good, but does not shine like the vegetarian menu. Some dishes are superb like the crispy oyster mushroom and the London red butterhead lettuce salad. The desserts are not particularly strong I thought. That s said I would come back especially for the wine selection, delicious plant based food and our server Frankie who was patient and engaging (if not a bit tested by us at times). Vegetarian options: Some excellent vegetarian dishes which go to the heart and ethos of the restaurant.
A place that received a Michelin Green Star. Dishes that make the most of ingredients are good. casual atmosphere
Rarefied and elegant environment. Alternative restaurant with refined dishes mainly based on vegetables and legumes. I preferred the side dish to the main course. Be careful, its certainly not cheap! Vegetarian options: Numerous vegetarian and vegan dishes.
My friend and I went for the weekday lunch with 2 courses and both opted for the plant based options. Delightful surprise donut delicious thing to start, and absolutely loved every dish! Can t wait to go back, especially for the potatoes side dish it s a must have! Good for vegans / plant based. Service on point. Atmosphere lively but could hear each other.
This is a truly first class restaurant serving exceptional food. Everything was unbelievably fresh and full of flavour and exquisitely served. The portions are tiny but that s the point, it s all about the flavours and fresh ingredients-don t go if you want to feel uncomfortably full at the end, you won t, you ll simply leave with a smile on your face and say, that was an exceptional meal. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options but also fabulous meat and fish options
Amazing meal. Particularly good for foodie kids.
Came for lunch for a birthday celebration with a family group. We sat at the chef s table at it was a really special experience, with great food and brilliant service.
Love the ethos, friendliness of staff and great tasting food. And we really appreciated the tasting menu options for our kids. Exposing them to these great tastes and textures is so important to us so thanks for that! Vegetarian options: Loads of delicious vegetarian and meat options. Both incredibly flavourful and locally sourced Kid-friendliness: Kids tasting menu and super helpful and friendly staff! Ours were fully immersed in the experience.
Wonderful lunch at Apricity today with my team. The food was fantastic and great service too. Would definitely recommend
Such a special restaurant.
We had high hopes for Apricity. The normally-faultless Infatuation gave it an impressive 8.4/10. Conde Nast Traveller insisted it was one of the best restaurants in London. At the time of writing, Google reviewers rate the spot nearly five stars on average. Our experience was nothing short of disappointing. By mid-meal, I remarked to my fiancé that the restaurant was whelming. By the time dessert came to our table, my view of the restaurant had deteriorated to the point of causing annoyance. I wanted to leave long before the check -- a stunning £275.00 -- arrived. First, I must remark on the decor: Apricity, named for the feeling of winter sunshine, is decorated like a Los Angeles clothing boutique destined to become a marijuana dispensary. The tables were characteristically small, and the chairs were more uncomfortable than I would have liked for a two-hour affair. The premises reek of contemporary pretention, and the staff delivers. The service was fine, if somewhat lackluster. At no point did I believe the cavalcade of waitresses delivering our wine and small plates cared about the product they sold. Their descriptions of the meal and the accompanying wine were soulless. Like another reviewer mentioned, I felt no human connection between myself, the waitstaff, and the food. The sommelier services consisted of canned, overly-memorized briefs on ultimately average wines. I would say the wine complemented the meal insofar as it provided a reprieve from the sinful monotony of Apricitys tasting menu. That brings us to the food. It has been fewer than ninety minutes since we left Apricity, and I can barely recall most of the dishes we were served. The flavors were -- again -- underwhelming. Little thought seemed to have been expended in concocting the menus progression, which left us wondering, Should a pre-dessert count as a full course? Altogether, the tasting menu lacked perspective. At Apricitys price point, my fiancé and I expected haute cuisine. We received what can best be described as a culinary students pastiche of a better chefs food. I would avoid this restaurant. Your wallet and your stomach will remain fuller this way.
We went to Apricity for our wedding anniversary celebration as we wanted to experience a MICHELIN Green Star restaurant. We booked a table for two. We wanted to try Chantelles new restaurant as we once went to her previous one and loved it. We went for the nine courses tasting menu chosing both the vegetarian and the non vegetarian option. We were very impressed with the vegetarian menu and love the fact that you can have a delicious vegetarian meal locally sourced. In my opinion the service was very attentive but not excessive, just the way we like it. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone that is into delicious low carbon footprint restaurants. Well done Chantelle and team, keep it up.
Amazing waiters who made the experience even more special! Food is absolutely next level
While I appreciate the locally sourced aspect etc., the food was underwhelming. My partner and I thought wed want the tasting menu but the options were uninspiring and chose a la carte. We had shiso tempura and scallops as starters, then the aubergine gnocchi and venison as mains. With two glasses of wine, bread and salami to start with, it came to £165. Price itself wouldnt be an issue, but not a single course was particularly tasty (except the bread and butter). I was told the aubergine was a house favourite, but the gnocchi were so bland and stodgy that I didnt end up eating then. Service and interior were okay, food disappointing and overpriced.
We were very lucky to eat at the Chef s Table , the menu was very lovely and the food absolutely lovely. Thank you and congratulations on the amazing job you are doing and your passion for sustainability.
Amazing place, balanced dishes we went for the 7 Course Tasting Menu and house red. Service was impeccable.
Genuinely one of the best dining experiences - took my partner for his birthday and the food was incredible, not to mention how helpful and knowledgeable the staff were. Perfect for a special evening
What a fabulous experience from start to finish, great service, extremely well thought out food minimising waste (but not in a gimmicky way, in a proper tasty way). Some really great matches on the wines too. Cannot recommend enough
Absolutely charming space that shines with discrete and caring service and exceptional food journeys!
Wonderful meal at Apricity - the service and food was impeccable. The menu is cleverly designed; sustainability without compromising on flavour. Highly recommended.
Amazing food and service! Highly recommend the chefs table was a lovely way to dine!
The food was simply outstanding, with great wine, a lovely cosy atmosphere, no rush at all and superb service. We had the most amazing evening! Thank you Apricity!
Thank you so much for a wonderful evening! The sommelier made our night by taking so much time to explain each wine, as we said we were very interested at the beginning.
This is my 4th time visiting Apricity and it never disappoints me. This time, i had the opportunity to try the Tasting Menu during the week and it was delicious. My favourite: Packington Estate venison, Lancashire parsnip, spent apple ketchup D, Ce. Service is also fantastic and they always have very nice touches. Only took the pic of the chouxnut with burnt honey and pumpkin custard. Highly recommend.
Everything was a delight. Great and unique food, unusual wine, delightful staff and lovely ambiance. Apricity is quite unlike anywhere else and the pear palate cleanser was an absolute winner.
Outstanding food and service. Highly recommend.
I took the 7-course Tasting Menu for £95 (£90 + 5% service charge and £0.5 donation to a humanitarian project) Roasted Foskett Farm carrot, cashew butter, carrot top pesto Crispy oyster & Black Pearl mushrooms, XO sauce, watercress London red butterhead lettuce salad, Kultured miso aioli, shallot Namayasai squash, pea puree, chimichurri, pickled walnut Cashew cheese, pickled blackberry, digestive crumb Comice pear Virunga chocolate & salted caramel tart, cobnuts The Namayasai squash was really delicious with its smoky taste and its super interesting combination of textures and the pear also very original but the other dishes in comparison were really not incredible. Good and healthy of course but a bit basic - especially if you are used to eating Asian and the ingredients such as sechuan pepper, grilled seaweed, soy sauce, etc. are regularly on the menu at your home, Apricitys somewhat timid attempt at fusion does not justify the price of £95 ( 110) in my opinion - but thats just my feeling, not at all neutral at this point :-) Otherwise the service is top notch, the staff are young, smiling, dynamic and friendly, and the atmosphere is very warm in the evening. Vegetarian options: Roasted Foskett Farm carrot, cashew butter, carrot top pesto Crispy oyster & Black Pearl mushrooms, XO sauce, watercress London red butterhead lettuce salad, Kultured miso aioli, shallot Namayasai squash, pea puree, chimichurri, pickled walnut Cashew cheese, pickled blackberry, digestive crumb Comice pear Virunga chocolate & salted caramel tart, cobnuts
Fantastic from start to finish!
We had absolutely THE BEST time! Food, service, atmosphere... everything was just fab. Special thanks to Robin the sommelier who was a total joy. Thanks again for a really special evening.
My brother and I came to Apricity for the 7-course tasting menu with matching wine, and were blown away by the whole experience. Right from the entrance, the unique decor and ambiance made an impression. Frankie warmly greeted us and took us to our seats. Throughout the meal, the service was consistently attentive. Both Ruby and Juliet showed a deep understanding of every dish, and Zoé skilfully introduced each paired wine - all different but equally delicious. Every dish was delectable, showcasing a balance between creativity and intent. The crispy mushrooms with XO sauce, butterhead salad, lamb breast, and the chouxnut were particular highlights. Apricity is a must-visit for those looking to enjoy exceptional food and wine, all rooted in a refreshing philosophy and presented by an enthusiastic and well-informed team.
Stunningly good. The best meal Ive had in ages
Delicious, thoughtful and exciting veg-forward tasting menu. Came in with high expectations celebrating an occasion as a party of two, and left slightly disappointed. Food is great in all aspects but flavour! Often dishes felt lacking in any wow factor, but perhaps I came in expecting too much. An absolute must-see, but I think any meat eaters will have a better experience.
What a lovely lovely spot. Intimate setting, wonderful service, absolutely beautiful food. I ve only just discovered Apricity and will be coming back ASAP. Thanks so much.
We had the 5 course lunch tasting menu, it was one of the best meals I can remember. Every bite was delicious, the venison dish was one of the best things I ve eaten in a while. I loved the wine pairing also. Comfy setting with friendly service. I ll definitely return!
My second time visiting Apricity. I love their zero waste concept, and the restaurant is stunning. Vegan friendly with lots of plant based options, it was hard choosing! I will be coming back / recommending to friends. Thank- you for making my birthday special
This was my first experience at the Chefs table so my judgement might be a bit unreliable. So here are some quick fire notes instead. Highlight: How the chef made a head of lettuce taste as good as she did is something of miracles. This was THE highlight for me. I wouldnt be surprised if she turned water into wine out of my line of sight. Overall, I was very impressed with how much attention Apricity paid to local produce; not even the drinks contained citrus as the juice cannot be obtained regionally. The menu has a wide variety of dishes (red meat, white fish, vegetarian and 2 desserts). Food can be paired with wines as well upon request. Areas of improvement: There are two uni-sex WCs for private diners. Unfortunately, they are not maintained throughout the meal so any sloppy users (confident on the wine) can make them quite unpleasant for others. WCs aside, some of the sauces were over seasoned and took away from the flavour of the protein. However, this is very subjective so cant fault them too much. The butter and bread could have also been warmer so I could spread it like butter rather than chowing it down like cheese; tasted great though. Overall, I would recommend Apricity. Their mission is welcomed. Each course made me more impressed and appreciative of how much thought was put into lowering their carbon footprint.
Everyone at this restaurant seems to really care about the food and the wine, both of which were fantastic. We ate at the Chefs table with the wine pairings and it was real treat - just enough interruption from the staff to tell us about what we were eating and drinking. Enthusiasm abounds in this place. 5* across the board.
I work in hospitality as a chef and think what you guys are doing is fantastic. Food was delicious. Service both warm and professional. Will be back!
Incredible food and dog friendly, we loved it!
Great food and service! Cons: very limited space; it may feel overcrowded.
The food here was outstanding. We had the 7 course tasting menu with paired wine. It was all delicious. Service was friendly and the staff were knowledgable. Would go again!
Everything about lunch was fantastic. Brilliantly inventive menu. Exceptional service.
