1 Ham Yard, London W1D 7DT, United Kingdom
Ham Yard is the modern European restaurant and bar at the renowned Ham Yard Hotel in the West End. An oasis tucked away behind Piccadilly Circus, it also features an expansive leafy courtyard with oak trees and twinkling lights for al fresco drinking and dining, and an Orangery where guests enjoy afternoon tea and morning coffees. The menu features well executed classics like Atlantic prawn and avocado cocktail and Aubrey Allen 10oz ribeye alongside contemporary seasonal plates and specials such as Venison carpaccio with girolles, pickled walnuts and nasturtiums or South Coast line caught sea bass, piperade and saffron velouté . Whenever possible, the chefs use produce from the verdant rooftop garden.
I would highly recommend people visit this restaurant as it has alot to offer. This restaurant boasts a wide open indoor space which makes it very comfortable and welcoming. Food was delicious, multiple upscale dishes that you can choose from to address any dietary requirements. We went for the chicken schnitzel and halibut. Both of them cooked perfectly and arriving on time. The cocktail selection at this place is quite good as well. Management and service was impeccable. When a genuine issue was raised with one of the dishes the staff was very apologetic, the manager quickly rectified it, and the whole situation was sorted without a fuss, 10/10 for service. My only point of improvement would be to have some light music playing in the background which would make the atmosphere even nicer.
The service we received on the day was EXCEPTIONAL. I don’t know if I’ve just gotten so used to bad service but the service, especially by our waitress, at afternoon tea was the best I’ve had in years. Professional yet friendly. So accommodating and kind. Thank you so much to her and to you all for a lovely afternoon.
Fancy. Everything individually priced. We stumbled in from another hotel just wanting coffee, but ended with a delightful English breakfast. Delicious choices of unusual, fresh juices. We were not smartly dressed but the waiters were gracious and kind to accommodate. I can’t say enough about the cheese and mushroom omelette. WOW.
Came here for a late afternoon lunch, and really enjoyed the experience. The decor is elegant , modern and bright, pretty much as you would expect in a hotel restaurant, but the food and service were better. My octopus starter far exceeded my expectations; quality ingredients, beautifully cooked. The seafood sharing platter was also very good, and I loved the Snickers-inspired dessert. A nice bottle of Gavi and friendly, attentive service. Highly recommended.
Great restaurant in a very modern hotel. We ordered the seafood pasta was nice but a little watery and the fish and crab cake which was filling. Service was flawless as well. Definitely recommend Ham Yard restaurant
I received a voucher from friends for an afternoon tea with champagne, and I absolutely loved it. Everything was delicious, and we were seated in a private and cozy area dedicated just for afternoon tea. The service was spectacular, making the entire experience truly memorable. It was a wonderful gift and an even better experience.
I recently visited Ham Yard Hotel for high tea with some friends. We had a lovely time, and everyone we interacted with was so nice. The dinnerware itself was also really cute. The food and tea was delicious and would definitely recommend going here if you’re looking for a nice spot to pop in for tea.
Great interior, friendly service, and delicious yet straightforward food. Came here for breakfast and the French toast was a perfect balance of fruity and sweet. The sausage was a bit off though. Good iced coffee. On the higher end, but it’s what you can expect for a hotel restaurant in Soho.
Service was slow. Have had better afternoon tea here, must have been an off day.
I came here for an impromptu dinner - staff were very nice to give me a table. The price is quite decent for a 5 star hotel in central london - the coffee and food was lovely, the wait time for them was not long at all. The waiter Bishwa was so helpful and attentive, took the time to help walk me through the other menus they have available as I had asked for afternoon teas and set menus, which I hope to be returning soon for.
All the staff at Ham Yard provide truly exceptional service and always make our regular stays there so enjoyable. The food and drinks are lovely and we love the decor of the hotel both in the common areas and in the rooms. We travel extensively and have never found a City centre hotel so warm and welcoming.
Food and drinks were great. The staff brought great energy and made the overall experience amazing. Food
The cocktails were sublime and the ambiance was superb. The service was impeccable too. All absolutely spot on.
Amazing food and service!
Came for the long lunch aka Sunday roast - delicious and the service was great! Loved the bottomless sides - the roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese were really good.
The food was exceptional. One or two items came out of the kitchen that were not up to temperature - likely sat waiting a tad too long before being served - but for such a busy day (Thanksgiving), it was a memorable dinner. Kudos to the kitchen, and to the hard-working and hospitable dining room staff. Well never forget that Thanksgiving dinner!
Superb hotel ,contemporary but comfortable, brilliant customer service
Excellent service and ambience and great menu.
Business Awards event
Only had time for a coffee and a brandy. Very nice ambience, sat outside. Friendly staff. Wheelchair accessibility: Very good. Disabled toilet.
Overall not a bad long Sunday lunch :)
Superb
I was in the bar a few weeks ago ahead of some friends and it took nearly 20 mins before I was served at the bar (it was not busy at all) a bar tender cleaning glasses made eye contact with me and looked away, I presumed he was not serving but then served someone else straight after. A waiter did ask if I was being served. He took my drink order and straight after another bar tender asked for my drink order too. I explained what I ordered but it s now being taken care of, he still does it anyway and causes confusion with all 3 of us when I get 2 drinks at once. Then my friends arrived about half hour after, ordered some drinks we waited another 19 mins and still no drinks. My friend asked how long the drinks will be as it s been almost 20 mins when the bar tender told her it s not been that long, you re exaggerating (I literally had the receipts on my phone) . She came back and told us what he said (still no eta on the drinks either) I went up and asked him to repeat what he said to me and said the exact same thing. I said cool and we left. I can take a busy service, mix ups and any kind of accidents but there no excuse for ever being that unprofessional. Just never going back ever again
Excellent service and good. Outstanding to say the least. Keep it up!
Staff and the food was lovely. We had afternoon tea and it was great value for money. We did have a bit of a wait at the bar for drinks before our table was ready but the place was busy. Lovely decor. Our table did feel a bit cramped but there were 5 of us so I guess that s was expected. Would recommend.,
When you are tired from walking in the city, you can come and have a rest with a pot of hot tea. The space is super nice and there are few people. The environment is quite comfortable and perfect for relaxing and chatting. There are also clean and beautiful restrooms A pot of tea costs around £6-7
Brilliant place to have a good time with friends and family. The bowling alley is intimate and cosy. Staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
God! I love this Restaurant, been there on september 2024 as a birthday suprise
That was a hidden quite place behind Picadilly to have a coffee or beer on a terrace.
The afternoon tea was satisfactory, altough the salty part of it was rather bland. It was overall quite filling. Food
One of the best spots in london for a civilized drink.
Beautiful atmosphere. Ordered afternoon tea and needed to wait a bit but got compensated with a free glass of champagne- super friendly staff! Recommend!
Good pricey food great service!!
Lovely hotel
Lovely place to be in soho
Tartare good, cocktail shrimp (basic dish) and pasta with crab need to have a balance in the taste between garlic and chilli cover all the crab flavour. The pasta was all broken.
Ham Yard is always wonderful and my latest visit was another lovely experience. My favourite server was there with a big smile as ever... We were running late and the kitchen was amazing at getting our food rushed through... all delicious! I cant wait to go again. Thank you Ham Yard!
Pricy but the food was very tasty, the service excellent and the space is just beautiful! Toilets are also clean. Food
Dover sole was perfect.
Delicious food and amazing atmosphere in cosy part of super central London
Excellent lunch and as a coeliac I felt very comfortable dining there thanks to the knowledge and understanding of the waiter, which sadly is still far from the norm. I will be returning!
A great marriage in a very nice restaurant. Thanks to Cosimo: whit him our experience was wanderful. The food was really well done and tasty. Great staff in the kitchen. Bravi!
Thursday evening, trendy crowd in Soho. Sitting outside in the courtyard, we were ignored for a good 10 minutes before we had to call a waiter over. Then there was a further 15 minutes wait for the drinks to arrive. The waiting staff could really do with some training. Service
Incradabel place. What an amazing hotel full of beautiful work of art. Great food and cocktails are to die for.
Had an absolutely fantastic afternoon tea here on Sunday. The food was excellent, the service was great, the area we had the tea was lovely and the music was lovely. Great location in central London but inside you feel like youre tucked away in a little oasis. I cannot recommend enough, I will be going back for another afternoon tea and to try other options as well!
The service was great as was the scenery however the actual food itself was very mid and not worth the money
.
A great fine dining dinner experience as a London tourist! The staff and customer service, in particular Bishwa, created a lovely and comfortable night. Will definitely be back for the afternoon specials.
A nice hotel but Ive never understood why its so expensive as its all pretty average and never wow I want to spend another £18.00 for a cocktail!
The family thoroughly enjoyed our first traditional tea service, with a Wimbledon twist. Vegetarian options: Mainly vegetable/fruit based offerings, with a couple of seafoood/chicken options
Love the hotel and ambience, service was exemplary but food portions were smallish.
Buzzing atmosphere
Try half price oysters after 5pm. Brilliant.
Ok
Great food and service
I do not recommend it to French people, you will be disappointed with the service.
Overall great, but there are stupidly priced items on the menu, like a £5.50 latte, a £4.50 espresso and a £6.50 small water bottle. The service is OK, but compared to the ever falling standards of other places, this is great. Your server will communicate well, will hold a conversation, and understand what youre asking for, so as to not be a distraction to your date/meeting. The settings are excellent and so is the location. The set menus for lunch and dinner are good value for money
Absolutely loved my evening at Ham Yard Bar in Soho! The place has such a lively and chic vibe, perfect for unwinding after a long day or catching up with friends. The decor is trendy yet cozy, making you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the experience even better. Its clear they take pride in what they do and genuinely want you to have a great time. If youre in Soho and looking for a spot with great drinks, a cool atmosphere, and excellent service, Ham Yard Bar is definitely worth a visit.
I usually have something to complain about, but not @ the Ham Yard Hotel restaurant. Food was delicious, service was great, and surroundings were lovely!
Great ambience
Really nice staff. Although my mother and I are clearly not the typical guests of the hotel (we arrived in sneakers and raincoats), we were so welcomed and pampered by the staff. We were treated like we were rich and famous. A waiter took our jackets and bags and later came down to our table with a number to hand in when we left the place - here our jackets and bags were collected for us again. The service was top notch, and when our afternoon tea was served, we were recommended an order to eat the things in. I got the gluten free version of their afternoon tea. The scones and cakes were really good. Not all cakes were the same as my mothers (regular) version, but the gluten-free cakes were certainly not diminished. The bread for the sandwich was rather dry though. As a gluten intolerant person, I am used to that, but there are much better breads. It worked fine though, and luckily the contents of two out of three sandwiches were reasonably juicy. It was the only slightly unfortunate detail about our otherwise fantastic experience at Ham Yard. I would love to come again! Dietary restrictions: Option for gluten-free. Just inform in advance when you book a table.
Had a wonderful afternoon tea here. Great food and excellent service
I forgot how ridiculously expensive cocktails are here. However, they are rather fabulous. Shame no complimentary nuts and nibbles to offset the cost. Nice staff.
Michele was perfect, the food was amazing, sure come again
We visited Ham Yard for a few relaxing drinks and as always, really enjoyed ourselves. The staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming and the atmosphere is chilled with diners, those eating an afternoon tea and people like us, just in to chat over a bottle of wine, all enjoying ourselves. Highly recommended.
Used for a meeting with a customer and the location, service and surroundings are perfect.
Lovely place to go for drinks. Great ambiance, lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink or 2. The Hugo spritz were lovely, slightly expensive, but go treat yourself
A quiet oasis at the centre of the West End. Outstanding drinks, food, service and ambience. Bishwa, our server, deserves special credit for his gracious and attentive manner, judging well how to engage with diners. Thank you.
Nice food , excellent service and atmosphere. Not too expensive.
On a sunny and warm day the outside terrace is a great place where to spend good time in Soho. The interior is not that bad either Service quick and impeccable Food
Dining here was such an excellent experience! We were part of a 10 person party there for a business dinner. Im so glad I chose the venue, the decor outstanding, the service just right, attentive, polite, knowledgeable. The main course and sides were standard but the starters and appetizers were delicious. Wonderful buzz (it was just an average Tuesday night, quite early too) and a great mixture of people...love the courtyard setting...toilets wonderful! Cant praise enough and will definitely book again soon.
Good
The Restaurant and bar is absolutely beautiful and together with all staff its got a great atmosphere. The food is excellent and very good service. Food
Lovely location, beautiful meal and great service. Thank you
An unforgettable experience. We took home doggy bags since we couldnt eat it all. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere so relaxing. Dietary restrictions: Many decaff options in coffees.
we went for tea , SO nice
So long as your expectations are managed as to what youll pay, youll have a good experience here. Its a sure-fire way to impress clients for business drinks and dinners as well as a nice treat for special occasions with family a friends.
My first visit to Ham Yard but not my last. We opted for the pre-theatre fixed price menu and it was excellent. Both of us are GF and the choices and alternatives offered were really good. Ciara our primary server went out of her way to make our experience the very best it could be. Well done Ham Yard
Had some cocktails for a birthday treat with snacks and coffee in this elegant looking bar. Nice buzzing atmosphere. The cocktails were expensive but poor. Snacks like olives and nuts were good. Cappuccinos were warm at best. Polite professional staff. Will give the place another chance in the future.
My thanks to Alex and the team for the most wonderful long lunch. Excellent fare and even better service. A first class experience.
They seem to have lost our reservation for tea. When they did realize their mistake, they barely checked on us, so we didnt get more hot water for the tea or still water for the table. The food with the tea was good for the most part, but I have had better.
We visited Ham Yard for a traditional afternoon tea and had a wonderful experience. The service was elegant, yet quaint. Our server was very nice. The tea and food were all delicious. We enjoyed our time in the sunroom on a very laid back, comfortable couch setting. It was a great time for our group.
Food was really good and not too expensive for how nice it was. The restaurant had a really good atmosphere and wasnt super busy or loud on Saturday night
It was an amazing experience! The food was amazing The service was fabulous And Michele the waitress was so kind and nice person I m gonna back for sure! Thank you Michele !
Amazing! Food was delicious! Michele was UNBELIEVABLE! So friendly, so helpful and made the whole experience even better :)
Great place for afternoon tea. The food was so flavorful, and the presentation was very nice. The desserts were so cute, too (we went to Easter afternoon tea). The amount of food is more than enough for one person and we ended up taking some home. They had a great selection of tea as well. The service was great and the staff very friendly. They took extra care with food allergies as well. Would definitely go back! Dietary restrictions: They handled my food allergy easily.
Michele very nice!!!
Afternoon tea with my daughters
Excellent service, excellent tea!
Quiet bar that came highly recommended from a London resident.
Food was great
The moment you step in the restaurant you know you are in for a good experience. Service with a smile , attention to detail , we had a good welcome and explained the dish of the day . Mocktails on this occasion, presentation and flavour wow. The food was absolutely delicious. Fillet steak bursts of flavours , the peppercorn sauce just made it that much more delicious.Apple tart for dessert perfect finish to our meal. The style and ambience was so delightful and a pleasure to experience in the hospitality industry. It was truly a refreshing experience we also had lots of time to catch up with each other. Thank you for a great evening.
Fantastic afternoon tea. Well looked after by staff with excellent service and the nice touch of a complementary cocktail and a birthday cake! Thank you
Have to say the service was first class. MICHELLE was very knowledge and his recommendations were great. He told us how our food was cooked which was very impressive and showed true passion for the menu which is rare. The citron tarte is amazing .
Nice atmosphere, stylish decor, great food - we were served by an attentive and friendly waiting staff, who helped us to choose the right dishes for each of us. Thank you very much Olga!
Food and ambience as expected. The folks at front desk went extra mile to get a taxi on a rainy day
I went 2 times , once was dinner second was for the restaurant & bar for chilling with friends both was nice i suggest the food was amazing , and drinks are the best , bar is nice but i prefer watching the lights and the atmosphere i love the lights and the interior design as well , if you want a romantic night deffinitely the best option , if you want a good night out with friends best option either , your decision, cheers Dietary restrictions: Theyre asking if you have any allergy or gluten tolerance , so bet they have lots of options to provide you the best opportunity of hospitability
All of your fantastic team looked after us incredibly well. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, they were attentive without hovering and we all agreed they did a marvellous job. Thank you so much for making our reunion such a lovely occasion. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful place to meet colleagues and friends after long day of work, fantastic food!
My daughter and I were lucky enough to fall upon this beautiful hotel last weekend. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked through the door. Your staff were fantastic, particularly Olga who served our table. The food was delicious: the warm fresh sourdough, steak tartare and ragu were amazing. Thank you for a evening, we left having experienced the perfect end to our day! I wish every eating out experience could be as good as this.
Great gluten free afternoon tea. Everything was perfect (food, staff, even the chairs were super confortable).
Very good in every aspect
Great venue, delicious food & lovely staff. We had the liver and fish cake, chicken schnitzel for our main courses. Can highly recommend.
Terrible terrible food. Probably the worst I have had in London. No taste. Not healthy. Asked for small changes (no garlic) which was impossible which also means it was prepared in advance. Completely unworthy of a 5*. Vegetarian options: Very little
Superb Sunday roast Beautiful stylish hotel with lovely modern chic rooms Every single member of staff excellent. Excellent breakfast Can t recommend highly enough
Good location and very stylish. Staffs are helpful. Cozy and Quite just like you are not in the middle of London. Service : 4/5
Lovely atmosphere and great food. Service is rather poor for the price however.
Lovely food, lovely drinks and great service!
Enjoy the Hamyard, but on a personal note - prefer Soho Hotel.
Afternoon tea was divine. Hospitality was A+
Alone
Duong was amazing, provided us with exceptional service. Vibes and food were 10/10, highly recommend this place!
The Ham Yard is one of those few places where the food is worth the price. The staff are incredibly hard working and friendly, providing amazing service that anticipates your needs. Atmosphere is chilled, decor is nice. It was lovely to go somewhere like this where it wasnt snobby. We had an incredible time. Wheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible
Just popped in for a bottle of wine. Service and atmosphere was fantastic Service
Great for groups
set menu christmas dinner, very friendly staff, decorated dining area, food was overall great but some missed dishes considering price.
Luxury with a modern twist. Superb service and felt extremely welcome.
A special place to dine, but the atmosphere is relaxed and the menu isnt too pretentious. If you can book a table in the conservatory I would, its magical at night.
Lovely bar with pretty good drinks.
One of the most disappointing dining experiences I have had in a long time. The service was way below standard. In particular there was, who I am assuming to be, a supervisor or manager (who I will refer to as server 1) who seemed to view us a nothing more than an inconvenience. I had to fight to get her attention and when I asked her if I could give her our order she simply replied that she had to put another order through and walked off. Eventually another lady came to take our order (server 2) and she was more helpful. At this point, all we had was a glass of water, which we finished so we had nothing to eat or drink. Eventually our drinks arrived then our food. The food was nice but not what I would consider to be outstanding. Nobody checked back to see if everything was ok or if we needed more drinks etc. We finished our meals and the empty plates and glasses sat there for some time. Finally managed to get somebodys attention to come clear the table (server 2) she cleared our table and could clearly sense that something was wrong and we explained that we wasnt happy with the service. She was very apologetic and explained that they were very busy. We had intended on staying for dessert and more drinks but we were so unhappy by this stage we just asked for the bill. After some time Server 1 came over, dumped the bill on out table and simply said Ive taken the service charge off and walked off, no apology, no acknowledgement at all of the poor experience we had just had, nothing at all. The restaurant was only half full and the staff failed to achieve even the most basic level of service, this was compounded by the attitude of server 1 who seemed to think that the whole thing was way beneath her and clearly did not care at all about customer service. I live and work mostly abroad in Asia but I am from London, I eat out all the time and this is without a doubt one of the worst experiences that I have had in a long time. I am often asked by friends and colleagues visiting London for recommendations on where to go and to eat etc. The only recommendation I would make about this restaurant would be to avoid at all costs. I would be embarrassed to send any of my friends, colleagues or associates there
Poor selection of gluten and dairy free foods. Disappointed in such a fancy hotel. Food
Great service, atmosphere and drinks
Just enjoyed a special weekend at the Ham Yard Hotel. Every member of Hotel staff we encountered, from Concierge, reception, Waiting Staff, to Restaurant staff were Friendly, polite and very helpful. That is our genuine observation.. it s a lovely place to stay because of them..
As always the service and food is as good as you will get anywhere. Always the top of my list when wanting to celebrate a special occasion. Would give 6 stars if I could.
We booked a table for two at 5pm on a Friday and had the pre theatre set menu. It was hugely reasonable with some lovely choices. Service was perfect in this top London restaurant but tables were spacious and ambiance was wonderful.
Beautiful restaurant with attentive staff and excellent food. Dietary restrictions: Lovely gluten free meal.
I have had a wonderful experience from the beginning to end . Thank you to the staff of the Ham Yard Restaurant and bar .
Great place for drinks and finger food especially at night. The outdoors sitting is an awesome place for chilling out
Lovely restaurant and bar . Xx
Lovely restaurant for afternoon tea
Very relaxed unpretentious vibes, finger sandwiches were ok, the spinach roll and mushroom biscuit were my favorite from the savories. Dessert was good, the cheesecake was a standout. Excellent friendly staff.
Seated in the enclosed garden area, we could enjoy natural daylight with a bit of air con which made us very comfortable in the hot weather. The items in the afternoon tea set were all very delicious and so were the teas. I particularly like the teas as they were special blends/ flavoured which I haven t come across in other restaurants. Excellent service by the team too!
Good cocktail and nicely prize wine. Service was friendly and the outdoor seating were the best as I think the weather was amazing. Overall good and will be back with fiends.
Osm
Only went for drinks - the people working there were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Comfy chairs to sit on - overall very enjoyable experience
Excellent service, the risotto was to die for. Loved the atmosphere and drinks. Saved to my favourite list
Came here for a coffee meeting. Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Good range of drinks and nibbles. Wonderful interior.
It was very quiet located at SOHO. Staff were courteous. We just had drinks outside the patio.
We had an amazing dinner yesterday. I want to specifically shoutout Stephan, he was so amazing and so kind. He figured out one of us were having a special day and did a small gesture at the end of the dinner that left us in awe. It was the epitome of service excellence, and we will for sure remember it! Thank you Stephan!!
Last nights dinner was absolutely fantastic, and I wanted to give a big shoutout to Stephan. He was just awesome and thoughtful, went the extra mile by noticing that one of us was celebrating a special day and, at the end of our dining experience, he surprised us with a thoughtful gesture that left us truly impressed. It was truly exceptional service, and this unforgettable moment will stay with us. Stephan, a heartfelt thank you for making our evening so memorable!
Lovely time with my friends. Staff so friendly and the food was delicious.
Attended a Tagetik conference. It was a lovely venue and great food.
Really fabulous hotel, interesting decor. Wonderful afternoon tea. Dietary restrictions: Really knowledgeable and helpful with my coealic requirements Food : 5/5 |
Excellent service, good food, friendly staff and got complimentary desert for a small glitch in our order, all in all we had a lovely birthday celebration, thank you very much
Fabulous Al fresco dinner on the terrace on an unseasonably warm October evening! Great value set menu with delicious champagne. Pumpkin cheesecake a knockout.
Coffee meeting colleague
Good place for a business breakfast. Very flexible with the mixing menu items. Food
-Drinks should arrive before the food! -Some tables have table cloths and some do not!!!! -white wine should be cold (very cold) -the food is mediocre at best Food : 3/5 |
Great atmosphere, great location, superb service. Had the fish Wellington, a tad disappointing, but still glad u tried it
Lovely place for afternoon tea and chat
Had some lovely cocktails on the terrace outside. Plenty of heaters and attentive service in a very pleasant corner of central London.
Once again Ham Yard delivered. Great service as always.
Simply Awesome
We booked an afternoon tea at the Ham Yard to celebrate a family members 50th Birthday- the service was exceptional, the staff could not be more accommodating, they went out of their way to ensure they cater for all needs and the value for money was truly brilliant. Dietary restrictions: I am pregnant- the staff made sure to check all food items & ingredients to ensure they were safe for me to eat.
I visited ham yard restaurant for the first time last weekend and can honestly say, it is a must for visiting again. The food was absolutely delicious. I fancied a relatively plain starter, so opted for Avocado and king prawn and had slow cooked lamb neck as a main with sides of spinach chilli & garlic and the most incredible, creamy mashed potato.(my mouth is watering as Im writing this)! The service was impeccable, friendly and attentive. Even the reception staff of the hotel, where you enter the restaurant from, enquired, as we left, as to how our evening was. The atmosphere is very buzzy but not too loud, so it was still possible to talk to each other around the table. Highly recommended
Great service, food mostly good although the mashed potato was overcooked and sloppy. Shame to not get the basics right.
Great Thanksgiving dinner!
Warning: Check Your Booking. This restaurant often overbooks and when you arrive will tell you that you ve booked outside (even in November). Spoke to some people behind us and the same for them. The place is a fraud. Check your booking on the day and confirm you have a table inside. The staff were rude and quite cheap compared to when this was a good restaurant. Personally I d avoid it. Classic example of a race to the bottom on standards and service.
I cannot recommend the Ham Yard Restaurant and Bar more highly! Not only did we enjoy lovely food in an exquisitely beautiful space, but the team worked hard to accommodate our group for a truly wonderful experience.
I just love this corner of the world. Visited the bar and restaurant a few times, for brunches, drinks or dinner and each time we re well looked after and treated well. I d venture an hour just for the Ham Yard Tonic to be honest
Vegetarian options: vegetarian options not clearly labelled Food
Very good experience for afternoon tea, and not especially expensive. They have everything adapted for celiacs
Beautiful setting and delicious food!
Excellent lunch
We did the afternoon tea experience. Nobody in our party was very satisfied with it. The server was not very attentive and they messed up two of our tea orders. The food was pretty bland only a couple of the pastries had real flavor. The price was on par for some other places. I guess we know why this had a reservation open the night before. I would book early somewhere else or not waste your money on this experience.
We had the afternoon tea. The staff are personable and knowledgeable about dietary options. One of our party has to have gluten free and really enjoyed the scones, sandwiches and cakes. It s a pleasant atmosphere and the sofas were very comfortable! Dietary restrictions: We were proactively asked whether anyone had any food allergies. As I previously mentioned the GF afternoon tea was enjoyed by the person who ordered it.
