Great food, great ambience and exceptional service.

The food was undoubtedly delicious. However, the service was lacking. The waitress initially forgot to bring the lemon we requested for the water but brought it later. We ordered Coke, bread, and extra taramasalata, but neither the Coke, the bread, not the taramasalata were brought to the table. So service is bad.

The food in your restaurant is very delicious. And the service of your waiters is so beautiful that it is absolutely charming. I am surprised to see the service of your waiters. I did not know that service could be so beautiful.

An exceptional experience

An easy 5 out of 5: probably the best restaurant Ive been to. Both flavour and presentation of the food are superb and thought through. The staff are very diverse, attentive and polite. Hide is definitely worth a visit Update: I came here a year after writing the above comment. Still stand by everything I wrote before. Fabulous restaurant!

Ok food, not a fine dining experience. Visited whilst staying in London at Claridges. We were looking forward to the tasting menu as I had seen and read good things online. However, I found the whole experience lacked any finesse and is a restaurant limited to an Instagram and tik tok only experience. Hide below had great cocktails and staff, however things took a turn for the worse when we were seated for our meal. Don t get me wrong the food was good, but the whole meal felt clunky, rushed and was not worth the £500 bill. The food and restaurant takes great images for the insta crowd but If your looking for an evening that makes you as the customer feel special, and food that wows with service to match don t go here, it s simply not worth it.

One Michelin star. I came here just to take pictures of the modern European taste on the spiral staircase. It s a good choice to have a simple meal. I heard that it is very difficult to make a reservation. This restaurant also serves breakfast. In terms of taste, I don t have to come here, but the location of the restaurant is very good Its very close to Fortnum & Mason. Its not bad for eating and shopping.

We normally come to London every so often and are in for good food with discreet ambiance. I booked HIDE the night before and they luckily had 6:00pm dinner available. I checked reviews and was a bit apprehensive about service. I knew the food would be good anyway as even the worst of the reviews depicted the excellence of it, but some said the service was lacking / arrogant. Fear not! The staff is trained meticulously, the sommelier knowledge is extensive and we had good fun chatting to all the of the waiters. The food is an absolute delight starting from caviar to the delish desserts. Their signature dish Nest Egg is an absolute must starting with a sexy smoky smell to a wonderful texture. The wine list is impressively vast across the regions, you could find a good bottle around 100 but also rare finds as well as good bargains. We had a bottle of Nuits St George 1996 for circa 300 pounds which I thought was good for a restaurant. It paired so well with venison, literally melted in my mouth. Thank you HIDE for great experience and we definitely be back again and would recommend to friends and family.

Went to HIDE to try their breakfast, which I ve heard is the best in London. Was it? Not really, but it was good overall. Staff was great, even when they forgot our hot drinks order they were very apologetic. Pastries were absolutely incredible, if this is something you have to try there, it s that. Also, please try them all. Hats off to the pastry chef there. When it comes to savoury food, this is where it gets a bit different. Hollandaise was very vinegary, eggs on the croque madame was overcooked, my buckwheat waffle pancake was lacking flavour, and overall it was all very fat. Will I go back? Not for breakfast for sure.

Exceptional dining and service. We had called ahead and the menu was adjusted to halal options. Very well thought out and impeccable wait staff.

I absolutely hated it at this so called Michelin starred haute cuisine restaurant. Some waiters did their job as if they were forced to do it, it was written on their faces that they didnt like the job. The food was mediocre. Pub-like atmosphere. And the cherry on the cake was the battered plate. You deserve 1 star, not a michelin star, but a 1 star rating.

Second visit here. Despite its reputation, this restaurant was disappointing. Starters were uninspired: cold cut meat on a twig, bland mushroom broth, and slice of gem lettuce on ice with overly garnished dressing for dipping. Which you are all instructed to eat with your hands. This was followed by a strange beetroot dish, beautifully presented but lacked oomph to its taste. The mains took far too long, and my steak was riddled with tendons, making it nearly inedible. While the staff were polite and friendly, the food fell far short of expectations. Saving grace was the bread basket.

My favourite dishes here are actually two starters: pâté and soft-shell crab tempura that s it. They re the only reason I d consider coming back. The service could definitely be better, but the price-to-performance ratio is acceptable.

We had the tasting menu and wine pairing at Hide last night, and were left underwhelmed. Twice I was served something which contained my allergen in it (despite sending this through before the meal and confirming it with the waiter on arrival). The toilets did not have soap in them the two times I used the toilet. One of the desserts was substituted (due to an allergen) with literally just a square of pineapple. Staff were very friendly but clearly rushed off their feet and the wine pairing was great. But sadly not good enough to outweigh the underwhelming food and service, when you are spending this amount of money.

Amazing food and service - not cheap though! 14 quid for a banana croissant, a delicious croissant though! If you go in knowing looking for a treat, you won t be disappointed

If you check my account, I don t give out many low reviews. This was one of the worst tasting menu s I ve had. The wine pairings weren t brought out on time, so it was confusing. The preview menu online doesn t state that the tasting menu involves pork, so we didn t think a literal pork starter would be brought out. They didn t explain which wine pairing was for more than one course. Such a lack of communication, zero attention to detail. Beautiful decor and concept, but failed with customer service in my opinion. This is the first time I feel sad about losing £600+ to an evening like this.

Service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great.. I would highly recommend trying the black Truffle Scrambled Eggs! What an awesome dish.. A very wonderful experience, and if you come before 8:30, they will give you a table without a reservation, if your number is small...other than that, a reservation is required.

Doesnt deserve a star. Waited over 10 minutes just to receive the menu and be asked on water. Downhill from there. Inattentive and ambivalent service throughout. Perhaps one/two dishes that were interesting but the rest uninspiring. Definitely catering to a certain type of person and that person doesnt care about food or service.

Monday night, the restaurant was half empty. We walked in and was greeted by FOUR! ladies on reception all beaming at us waiting to take our coats. We had a couple of starters and a couple of desserts which were delicious and couldn t fault. My issue was with the service. Plenty of staff all hanging around but not really doing anything, they were all more interested in having a chat with one another. I saw one waitress on her phone in the restaurant which is wholly unacceptable at this level. It took too long to take our order, too long for drinks to arrive, too long for the bill to come. It was all quite poor and when you re paying these prices in a Michelin star restaurant in Mayfair, you expect the staff to go above and beyond. I asked the manager to remove service and he apologised but even that felt defensive. The table next to us didn t pay service either so it wasn t just us who felt this way. I feel that service charge is expected to be paid these days as opposed to actually working hard to earn it. For context, I must have eaten here about 5 times over the past few years and it s been nothing short of exceptional so I was really disappointed to have an experience like this.

Incredible experience. Get down in that cellar, pick a bottle of plonk and eat some meat. Woo wee is this the place to do that.

Gorgeous restaurant and amazing service by the waitress. Been waiting for more than 12 months to dine at this restaurant post delivery. It was my first dinner date with my husband after giving birth and it was a birthday treat from my husbands work place as well as from my husband. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning. Thank god my symptoms started at 1pm as I travelled far to come into London for this experience. I informed the restaurant in the morning that this had occurred. They were very good at addressing and looking into it. However, I was told food poisoning could be from any food consumed in the last 2 days and that I should have gone to seen my GP. I was quite disappointed in the reply and left it there with them. I just genuinely wish they saw how much I suffered on my birthday and my children wanting to be on top me (age 1 and 3). I am not sure whom would make their way to the GP after vomiting the whole night. I felt it was such an easy excuse for them to say food poisoning could be from food consumed from 2 days. I just feel sad that I spent my birthday at this restaurant that human kindness is not even their priority. I wished I had just cut a cake with my children instead.

You will never be disappointed

UPDATE: Despite the comment below and emailing the manager as per their request, I have still not heard back from them. Be warned - they do not care. Really sad to say that my visit was a very disappointing experience and tainted a special day for me. My partner had meticulously planned a wonderful proposal which ended at Hide for the tasting menu dinner and wine pairing. He had been in communication with Hide prior to our visit and planned special details for the evening. Upon our arrival we were met with expressionless faces, no smiles and no warmth. There were no congratulatory messages or any excitement which was a very strange feeling after the wonderful experience we had just been through. The service was not attentive throughout the meal. The sommelier was lovely and explained the wines and answered our questions. It was a quiet Thursday evening which was made more evident by the lack of attention from the servers. There was no buzz or vibe. The food was good but not exceptional or stood out compared to other meals weve had at similar level establishments which was a shame as wed been looking forward to a meal here for many years. Considering the reception we received at a similar style restaurant in Paris (where we went the next day to celebrate our engagement), we were welcomed with smiles and celebratory greetings from servers who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. After spending well over £600 that evening, including our family having drinks at the bar downstairs, I expected so much more from a renowned restaurant. I dont see myself giving it a second chance as I would rather spend my money elsewhere where it will provide a good experience and cherished memories. Hide truly tainted what was otherwise the most special day of mine and my fiancés life.

Ideal for a quick dinner in the centre

The atmosphere of the place is really nice, and the service is good, but the food... the food was disappointing. We paid around £120 per person, expecting Michelin-level quality, but it was well below average. The meat was tough, the starter was almost tasteless, and only the bread and wine were decent. I wouldn t recommend this place. London has so many amazing restaurants, so don t waste your time and money on mediocre food, even if the atmosphere is cosy

Amazing food!

This place is amazing.. But I cant help but feel like it is lacking in some areas. Service was not what I would expect it to be and the food quality wasnt worth the price tag.

Got the ribeye steaks. They were good but for the price I have had much better steaks elsewhere. Also found the menu a bit limited. The variety of breads we ordered was great as well as the flatbread, although the flatbread is very small for an appetizer so keep that in mind when sharing.

This was my wife s and my first Michelin star restaurant to the disappoint. The service was impeccable. The staff were so friendly, and the food was delicious.

From the moment we stepped into Hide, the experience felt special, and it certainly lived up to expectations. We began with Giarraffa green olives, marinated in garlic, lemon, and rosemary, which were the perfect complement to our Negronis bright and aromatic, setting the tone for the evening. For starters, we opted for the Chicken Liver Parfait, served with fig and hibiscus chutney on toasted brioche. The parfait was rich, smooth, and balanced beautifully by the sweetness and slight acidity of the chutney. But the real showstopper was the Nest Egg, a signature dish that was so good, we couldn t resist ordering a second one. A delicate combination of mushrooms, silky buttery yolk, and an unexpected depth of flavor it was a highlight of the meal. Moving to mains, the Grilled Octopus was sublime tender and smoky, paired with tarama, confit potato, and fennel shavings for a dish that was both refined and comforting. The Aynhoe Park venison was equally impressive however rather small portion; the meat was cooked to perfection and complemented by the earthiness of celeriac, the tang of pickled walnuts, and the sweetness of blackberries, all brought together by a velvety red wine jus. It was a sophisticated and well-executed dish. The sides were equally noteworthy. The London lettuce, dressed with crème fraiche and quince vinegar, was fresh and light, while the Pink Fir new potatoes, cooked in salted butter, were indulgently rich and delicious. Dessert was the grand finale. The warm acorn cake with smoked caramel and choice of liqueur, I opted for the rum, was an unexpected treat sweet, smoky, and full of depth. The Canelés, cooked in beeswax, were a lovely nod to French pastry tradition, with a perfect balance of crisp exterior and soft, custardy center. While Hide isn t cheap, every dish felt like it was worth the splurge. The impeccable service and knowledgeable staff elevated the experience, making it feel like an occasion. If you re looking for exceptional food and a memorable evening in Mayfair, Hide is a must-visit.

I was looking forward to finally going to Hide as it had been on my list for so long, unfortunately it was not worth the wait. The burrata came with no bread, overall the dish just looked lazy. The duck dish had pork in it so I couldn t eat it. The desert was the only dish that justified its place on the menu. The dishes all had good presentation and the service was great but apart from the location having beautiful architecture, the food simply didn t justify the price. For someone who has eaten at restaurants all over London this was a big disappoint to say the least. Ratings * Taste: 4/10 * Service: 8/10 * Price: ££££ spennt * Presentation: 8/10

Excellent food and service. We went for dinner and will likely try to get back for breakfast before we leave London. Attentive, unpretentious and engaging service coupled with delicious food and drink. A great restaurant experience.

Not impressed. Started with having to wait before anyone came to the table. Once someone did, they said the sommelier would be with us. He never showed. Next, the waitress seemed like she didn t want to be there. Very short with us. Food came on time but the waitress never once came back to ask how we were doing, etc. nothing. We ordered 2 glasses of 30 GBP wine. He filled them about half way (half of a normal glass) What?! The actual meals were mediocre- the special nest egg was not very good. We have been to many Michelin Starred restaurants. its shocking that this got a star. Total cost? About 500 GBP. NOT worth it!! Not even close. If you insist on spending your money there, review the FULL menu to make sure there is something for you!

Was there a few weeks ago to celebrate a friend s birthday, and it was a great dining experience. The service was attentive, friendly, and thoughtful, making the occasion feel extra special. The food was was beautifully presented and crafted. Some of the dishes that I enjoyed were so unique as well like the scallops specifically. The restraunt s elegant yet relaxed ambiance made this a memorable experience.

I came here specifically for the breakfast (scrambled eggs with truffles), it was excellent! Overall the service was very good, they had a nice chat with me when I walked in but I didnt like the service from my particular waiter, I wasnt offered anything after breakfast or asked if I liked the food, the woman was completely emotionless it feels unfriendly.

Simply the best breakfast in London

We went for Sunday breakfast. The dishes are beautifully plated but rather small. Most of the Viennoiserie was sold out and we were told halfway into the meal that breakfast was ending and they would take no further orders. The coffee is single origin and expensive but not filtered - all come with milk (why dilute such a fine coffee?) The hot chocolate stratifies and sinks to the bottom - no spoon provided. The staff was attentive but didn t seem to know the menu and the options. Both men s bathrooms were out of order (fortunately the handicap bathroom was in order). Bottomline - the food is good but not flawless which is what is expected considering the price. Poor value for money. After >GBP100 breakfast I was still hungry.

We went for a dinner and I really enjoyed it to every single detail! I personally judge a restaurant by bread basket and this one was absolutely fantastic - different varieties like dark dough , focaccia, baguette. My octopus was cooked to perfection ! Five stars go to service ! High attention to the guests, very much customer oriented . Will go back again for sure :) Perfect

Wonderful dining experience! Friendly, yet intimate! They have open dining as well as some hidey places for smaller parties. We received a small tour afterward from the friendly steward. Plates were attractive and flavorful. Get here before they earn their second star!!!! Unprecedented wine list!!!

Overrated. Tiny plates of food meant to be ordered like you re creating your own pre-fix. Would say that none of our dishes were delicious. Eat here if you aren t hungry or want to impress somebody pretentious.

Hands down best breakfast place in London. Obsessed with their food. Come here every couple of weeks to check out new pastries on the menu- always innovative! It is pricey, but as expected in Mayfair. Service not always on point (they seem to have a lot of rotation), but that s just a detail and the food is worth it! Nice coffee selection with some interesting choices. Try it!

Quite disappointed in general by the food, which is exorbitantly priced for the quality and the work put into the kitchen. (Not far from 50 for a croque madame with truffle). There are other less expensive options on the menu but I think the value for money is not there. However, the restaurant is sumptuous and the service excellent. A must-see spot in London

Never have I been more disappointed by a Michelin star restaurant. After going on somewhat of a food tour of the best restaurants London has to offer, my partner and I were very excited to try Hide. The design and atmosphere of the place was beautiful which had us excited, but that is where the enjoyment ended unfortunately. Menu was very average - relying on gimmicks to start with no real flavour or creativity to back it up. Dry and chewy pork and wet lettuce to start .. not really good enough at all for what you pay. But it was the service that really left a sour taste. Completely rude staff who turned their nose up and brought a generally negative and judgemental vibe. Especially after not ordering alcohol which in this day and age is in such poor taste. They re lucky we weren t Michelin execs, and should apologize to the poor pig whose life was lost to make a sub bar dish. Sorely unimpressed. I will say the burrata and fig dish was delicious but as this was based upon the freshness and quality of ingredients rather than the technique it unfortunately did not save this review.

Great setting although we did have to ask for a different table rather than be plonked right next to other diners in a fairly empty restaurant. Served bottled water instead of tap as we asked for. The breakfast was somewhere between ok and decent - whilst the eggs were cooked well and the granola was tasty, the bread was dense and sweet with the croque monsieur particularly suffering a result. And the truffle on everything was pointless.

I went there right at opening time. Seeing the taste of unique food I also tasted it. Ill go back when I go to London.

Be careful! Website says you can get any wine from Hedonism, but it does NOT say ...at restaurant price. Eg A bottle of wine in Hedonism is £300, at restaurant it was £650. They are hiding this information. Bathrooms need maintenance. Huge amount of dust, sink tap pipes making strange noises. Pros: Good food. Friendly stuff. Accept cash.

I have visited this place with my dad as our last evening today as a part of the holiday. It was the worst service experience we have ever encountered - I think in Mac Donald s you will get a better service. (Food was simple by the way). At some point when you go to the restaurants like this you pay not only for the food but for the atmosphere as well. They haven t payed attention to us, haven t suggested any water later, haven t talked with us - we waited a long time when they would get rid of the dirty plates. The manager even included a service charge saying that they did everything in their power to accommodate us but it sounded as a joke. You know when you get the feeling that somebody doesn t like you? You can t explain but you have it. Well.. that was it. If you really want to have a good food and a nice service then try Zaika in Kensington, you will save so much patience and time. We have been trying different restaurants for a week and that was the best one. Hide is a big miss (of money as well).

You can feel classy the moment you step inside the place. Its on the pricy side but its within a reasonable range. The food was really delicious and the presentation was awesome. You gotta try it this place.

Best brunch and breakfast spot in London.

Even though we came to the last slot of breakfast timing, waitress were very helpful and giving the best service, food was really and highly enjoyable and recommended experience to have whenever you visit London!

The set menu was wonderful, specially the burrata, followed by the black rice with squid and finishing with the ice cream with grapes. The suggested wines were also very good! Great experience with excellent service and a view to the park!

Superior service. I missed breakfast, which ended at 12pm and did not allow for walk-ins until 12pm, so this review is based on LUNCH at 12pm onwards. There is a set lunch that seemed reasonable at 58 pounds. I opted for a la carte. Appetizers: - egg is extremely creamy and good; could have been hotter - tart was perfectly crispy and the seafood inside was good Main Meal: - got the octopus as a main meal, but realized it was massive and more suitable for an appetizer. I think having it as a main meal felt like a lot of octopus in general Skipped dessert, as the waiter said the Coconut is NOT the best. Wine selection here is excellent. Over 7000+ wines to pick from, which is mindblowing. Many people come here for just the wine. Overall, I thought the main octopus was a bit too much octopus without anything in addition to it except the sauce. Appetizers were good, service was superior, and the wine selection is the most superior. Would be open to come back, but not for lunch.

Very good breakfast

One of the worst dining experiences in my life. 100% the worst dining experience in London. Not worth £160. The second dish, tomato and cucumber, was absolutely rubbish. Couldn t find any trace of cooking in that dish. The exact same dish can be made in any uni flat. Very little protein throughout the course. (Dont get how it can cost 160, when egg, lamb and monkfish are the only protein we got) Very average dessert. Definitely not meeting its reputation. Probably can get the similar dessert from Jamie oliver s italian. All dishes came out really late. Very unprofessional fine dine service. Hide is a 1 michelin star restaurant. So i am giving 1 star in google review.

The service is the star of the show. Beautiful plates but sometimes the structure of the food doesn t stand up or the plate in which the food is plated on. The food was over all good. The stacked potatoes fried on the side of the lamb are a star. The beats were perfectly cooked. The wine is over priced and not worth the quality of the pour. Seriously the service is the star.
