10-11, St Martin's Ct, London WC2N 4AJ, United Kingdom
A family run restaurant and bar with three decades of experience providing great food and atmosphere. We are passionate about all our food with ingredients delivered fresh daily and aim to always use local suppliers of the highest quality. Our own in-house baker provides the best of homemade breads and our desserts are all freshly produced every day. KOHA is a truly a jewel within London theatre-land and one visit is all it takes to become a devotee!
Tried this place as a pre-show dinner spot which was perfect. First, for the location, it’s tucked away in a little alley. The staff was very friendly and attentive! I ordered the lobster ravioli at the recommendation of the server….it was okay. They give you a few pieces of shrimp To accompany the ravioli but it’s a pretty small meal so definitely would not recommend if you are really hungry. They have a nice spread of specialty cocktails. Even though the food was mediocre, I’d come back for drinks and the vibe of the staff!
What a lovely little place, located just away from the hustle and bustle of Charing Cross Road. Fantastic team serving fantastic food: Dran, Drill, Loai are exemplary; this is how restaurants should be done. Even on busy nights they deliver a phenomenal service with a smile! I highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a delicious meal, with outstanding hospitality and amazing ambience.
Lovely small restaurant. Service was excellent, and the food was tasteful. The only thing is that you need to make reservations for a table at high hours, and it's pretty small, so if there are bigger groups, the noise can be a bit much.
Super nice evening on the lazy Sunday night during our stay in London. The restaurant is exceptionally well positioned in a quiet little nook at the end of a quiet street in the incredibly busy theater district. We were recommended to come here by our flat host where we are staying. We came with two adults and two children ages 10 and 14. Being a lazy Sunday night, we definitely had plenty of attention on us, and we felt very well taken care of. The food was quite tastefully prepared and timely delivered. The presentation was pretty nice. I had the lamb shoulder, which was quite tender, and modestly seasoned. Flavor of the meat came through quite well. My wife had the prawn ravioli, which was quite good. And my daughter had the chicken. She did indicate the chicken was slightly dry. We had the ciabatta as a starter and that was quite good. We ended with the chocolate and hazelnut desert as well as the pomegranate cheesecake. The deserts were exceptional. I had additional old-fashioned, which was pretty heavy on bitters for my taste. And my wife had the Prosecco, which I think she enjoyed quite well. Our son is a picky eater and got fries, but they made him feel welcome anyways :) Regardless, it felt like a less touristy stop, and we definitely had great service and a wonderful time. I highly recommend to stop here if in the area. I imagine it could be a quite a bit more busy any other day of the week so I strongly recommend reservations.
We visited this restaurant based on its high rating on Google. We had OX Cheek and Wild Sea-bass fillet for the main course and Cheesecake for dessert, along with red wine from Chile. Everything was excellent, but not quite enough to make me feel the need to return to this restaurant when I am in London again. What I would criticize is that the fish served could have been warmer, or at least the plate could have been heated. On the other hand, what I would praise is the good value for money.
This was the best food we had during our short business trip in London. We came from Singapore and were looking for a cosy spot serving British/European fare and were sooo lucky to have found Koha. The atmosphere of the place is super cosy and the service staff were impeccable on both occasions we dined there — yes the food was SO good that we had to go back for our last dinner (kudos to the chefs)!! Special shout-out to Shaq and Drill for the amazing service and for making us feel so at home. Thank you for making our trip amazing ❤️
We were walking around trying to find a place open and with actual seats available, when we found this place. What a discovery. The staff is friendly and polite, and the atmosphere is quite cosy and inviting. Food arrived quickly. I ordered the special of the day which was pork belly, and could literally eat a bucket of it. Dessert was nicely presented and very tasty as well. A very nice place, conveniently located steps from a tube station; serving great food.
Happened to stumble upon Cafe Koha on an early Monday afternoon with little to no crowd. We were immediately seated outside and Fidel was a delight to talk to as we ordered and watched the theater crews arrive. The boar sausage is juicy and creamy without being overbearing, with a matching sauce that completely won me over. My partner ordered the duck breast, which was cooked perfectly. And if they have time to recommend the house cheesecake, you better take up their offer. It is light and airy and creamy and wonderfully decorated with a variety of fruits. Everything is made in-house, the wait staff was super attentive and informative. Altogether an absolute joy to find this place. Looking forward to coming again on our next trip to the city!
Top food, great service and legend of a owner that is Fadil! Highly recommend
£23 pounds for a small chicken breast with sauce. No potatoes or vegetables. A joke.
Great experience at Koha, we were greeted nicely and well looked after all through our visit. Scallop and Beef carpachio starters, ox cheek and lamb shoulder mains well presented and very tasty and the pomegranate chedsecake was exceptional. Cocktails and wine all good. Recommended.
This has recently had a refurb and is looking great. Food was delicious; we had a selection of starters, a round of desserts and the French rosé. Just perfect! Excellent service too. Will be back soon.
Excellent food, beautiful presentation, good service. Had dinner for two. Lovely environment. Would recommend.
Great location right next to the theater. We visited the Koha restaurant through an insider recommendation and were not disappointed. You can sit outside and still be quiet. Very nice and courteous staff. Thank you
Unfortunately the menu advertised is not what you get?!!! The Cafe is undergoing major works and the food offered although good is not what you would be expecting! As we were on route to the theatre extremely frustrating as not time to pull out. Should have been forwarded.
We happened upon this wonderful place and were completely overwhelmed by the incredible food and delightful service. This restaurant was the high point of our dining experiences during our week in London-don t miss it!
Honestly how anyone could give this less than 5 stars for the balance of quality and price point I just dont know. Complete hidden gem in the heart of Soho - unassuming looking place for the quality of drinks and food. Portions were not massive, and I found the cheeseboard really disappointing so I wouldnt order that (lots of different versions of cheddar) but for pre theatre dining in tourist trap central I was seriously happy with what we got. Looking at some of the reviews and things people are complaining about it feels like these people dont spend a lot of time in Soho so dont really understand how terrible some of the flashier more touristy places can be. For this price point I havent had a better meal in Soho and made all the better by being a family run place with very helpful and friendly staff. Took great care of my mother who is a coeliac providing gluten free versions of the dishes to accommodate her. Dietary restrictions: Dishes were adapted for a coeliac
The food is very tasty, it is high quality and rich in flavour. The staff is very polite and accommodating and it is very speedy. The atmosphere however was a bit sad and the prices a bit high, but justifiable due the ideal location.
Beautiful meal in Koha tonight with my sister and niece. The food was devine and the service was excellant. Would recommend
However, the food was good and the staff was friendly.
Great service, delicious food and wonderful atmosphere
Great food, service and atmosphere
Have been coming here for years. I have never had a bad meal. Even when we have dashed in at silly oclock before a theatre night, the friendly staff have always come up trumps with freshly cooked dishes in minutes. Always fresh high quality food. Friendly and well balanced service. Food
Excellent as usual and friendly staff
The food isn t good at all, very basic and the chicken risotto was almost non-edible
Really warm welcome, great service and super food!
Great place. Great food. Great service.
Great place, friendly staff and atmosphere too. Fantastic inside and outside areas. I went there for the 1st time with a friend for drinks and we ordered a great cheese platter with focaccia on the side was delicious. I really recommend it to all my friends and family. See you soon!
Great place
Great food at a reasonable price (considering its location, which is next to Leicester Square!) I had the slow cooked lamb and passionfruit cheesecake which were both incredible. In fact its probably the best cheesecake Ive ever eaten!
I went there for the kitchen being open until 1. But it was closed at 12.
Food was Delicious
Great service, the wild boar sausage was superb
Nice food will definitely come back again!!
Cozy place, average service, good meat and good music.
Like some of the other reviewers, I stumbled across it accidentally while other places in nearby St Martin s Lane were too busy. I am glad I did. The staff are friendly and I liked the food very much.
First time at Koha Restaurant but it won t be our last. A wonderful cosy friendly place to bring to a close my partner s birthday. Great food and service and all at a reasonable price.
Brilliant little after theatre spot! Really friendly staff, cosy interior (it was a freezing night when we visited!). They had light food & snacks till late (10:30pm/11) & offered us last drinks just a few mins before closing without any rush to see us out. Really welcoming and a so close to all the theatres. :)
This is by far my favourite restaurant when I am in London. A secret gem nicely hidden away from the crowd. High quality excellent value for money food and nice staff to make you feel great! 5 star place
Had a lovely early evening dinner here before it got too busy. The staff were super friendly and efficient and the food was delicious- I had sea bass and highly recommend it. Prices aren t too bad giving it s central London.
This is a hidden gem, nice classic food at reasonable prices, right in the heart of theatre-land. Recommended for lunch on a weekday, great to find somewhere you can get a seat and have a chat. Fantastic service from Shaq, who was very attentive and friendly!
Beautiful restaurant in the heart of London. We were so pleased to discover this restaurant. Food was delicious, service was very good and also cocktails were superb. We will definitely come to visit again. Recommended dishes Boar Sausage, Pistachio Cheesecake, Seared Scallops
Great place if you need to escape the busy Covent Gardens
Delicious food and great service! Loved this place
Amazing place! Great steak and fab staff!
I was there today I enjoyed the food and I want to tell you all, if you want to taste the best sweets, you will only find them here
impeccable service Drillo and the rest of the team really do set a great atmosphere.
Excellent evening! Drilon is a great server I recommend the gnocchi
Really, really good time, the service is amazing, really kind. A very good time, a very nice restaurant, and adorable waiters I recommend. Drilon is on top!!!!
It was an amazing night. Drilon was very nice and very helpful! You can go there with your eyes closed! I highly recommend
Very good restaurant! Drilon received us very well, I highly recommend it!
The baked octopus and passion fruit sorbet were really tasty. Drilon was a great and phenomenal host would 100% recommend.
Great food and service!
It was a wonderful experience. Drilons service was wonderful, he was professional, sympathetic and took care of all our needs. He solved every problem and offered a new dish on his own initiative when he saw that we had not eaten a certain dish. We really enjoyed our experience thanks to him. Highly recommend, and we will eat there again.
Had wonderful service especially from waiter Diljon(?) ...would definitely go back when in London again....They were all superb from the owner to the waiters
So we booked a table for two on a Sunday evening in April based on the Google reviews. The good news is that the food is good. We shared a starter and then had mains. All of which was well presented and tasty. My only gripe was that the mains were served on cold plates, which cooled the mains too quickly. Service was good, attentive and helpful. So why only 3 stars? Basically the interior lacks atmosphere. This should be a cosy or boutique style restaurant, tucked away as it is in a quiet walk through. But the interior design and decoration needs some attention to achieve this. Dont get me wrong, this is a nice place to eat, but given the standard of the food, it could be a great place.
Good food here and service is good too
Amazing food with the best service by Drilon! Tried the scallop as a starter, sea bass as the main and the passion fruit cheese cake as the dessert. Highly recommend the cheesecake!!
Reliable and efficient service. Good for pretheatre supper and drinks
Best meal we have had in London , a wonderful little find , the food is wonderful and the service very friendly, the waiter drill and waitress anoah (most probably spelt wrong:) were superb .
Lovely little find with good service, thoroughly recommended
Awesome little spot away from all the madness
I only had breakfast at Koha, but everything was fine. I give it a 10 for my experience.
This was the best find while in London. Tucked between two most famous theatres in London. Food was superb, service attentative and atmosphere had a really cozy feeling. Simply superb Vegetarian options: Spinach Gnocchi
An excellent restaurant to go to eat, offers a variety of exquisite meals and highly qualified staff.
We ate amazing food here, much surpassed our expectations. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, the vitello tonnato was beautiful and the lobster ravioli was gorgeous. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Only odd thing, we couldnt leave a tip on card as the waitress said she wouldnt get it. Bearing in mind most people dont now carry much cash, this unfortunately resulted in not being able to leave much tip!
I have been visiting Koha for years - always a joy. Rustic and relaxing, goid food, friendly staff and a pleasant atsmosphere - great for people watching. Food
Dril, our waiter, was excellent - Great service and food exceeded expectations - and truffle fries to die for
Amazing food, fantastic service, the owner was super friendly we will definitely be back
Good food..nice place.
Stumbled across by accident; what an amazing find up a little alley. Food cooked and presented to perfection. Staff friendly and helpful. They offered us things off the lunch menu for my daughter - thank you for that! A bit quiet, which we didnt mind, but they really deserve more customers. Very happy to call in again sometime.
Great place - lovely staff and service, superb food, really warm atmosphere. Plus good value - all in all, very recommendable.
Take care when asking water. I said just water, and got still water for £5. Not too much money, but really ugly!
Amazing place and Dril made a best drink, thanks a lot
Not a bad restaurant near Leicester Square. Food ok though expensive as you as you are paying for the location.
A sweet, hidden find, with an imaginative chef and a great location.
Definitely a place you need to check out ! Service was amazing everyone is so friendly and the food was great! I got the wagyu steak with potatoes and it was the best steak I ve had! 10/10 recommend!
The best food and service we have had in London. Highly recommended
Had a fantastic meal here tonight. I had the Ox Cheek which was great, and my partner had the Rib Eye steak which was the best steak either of us had had before! Would definitely recommend!
Excellent food! Wonderful atmosphere and company! Hidden treasure in St Martin s Court in London. Don t miss the opportunity to visit this place. Definitely I will be back. Well done Café Koha team you deserve the
This restaurant is one of the best in London. The food was exceptional, delicate, super flavorful, presentation was excellent. There are so many tourist traps in destinations like London, Las Vegas, Paris, etc. This is a true restaurant were you can taste the pride of the chef in every dish is served. Starts of the night: Carbonara, Oxtail with mashed potatoes and Lobster Ravioli. The Seared Scallops were also just amazing. Cocktails were well balanced, flavor forward and had great presentation. The service was exceptional, both times we visited we were greeted right away, place was busy (as you d expect) but we were seated very quickly. The staff is professional, and super friendly. Don t leave London without sopping by for dinner.
Food is quite good although I had a Spaghetti Carbonara which was a bit strange. Service is good and the Seating area outside is relaxed, especially good considering its in the center of Leicester Square Food
Location is nice, interior is in process of being renovated Waiter has no knowledge of the menu sadly compensating it with confidence giving false information. My gnocchi dish was supposed to have wild mushrooms which turned out to be champignons. The wagyu beef portion seemed way less than announced and tasted unlike wagyu beef.
What a find! We were looking for a restaurant close to St. Martin in the fields on our way to a concert and Im glad we found this gem. Ordered the ox cheeks and I honestly cant imagine them being any better than the ones at Koha. Highly recommended
Ended here because they were open and we were in the vicinity. If that wasnt the case I would not personally choose this restaurant. Average bar food at most. Helpful good service. Youre at the back of a theatre, so you get to see the actors leave from the back.
Hidden gem close to Leicester Square station. Celebrated a birthday and the food and service were fantastic! Best starters Salmon sashimi and scallops ever! Then the tastiest Steak that was cooked to perfection. Dessert cheesecake with the freshest fruit. Great selection of wine and a complimentary lemon cello to celebrate the birthday girl. Definitely cannot wait to go back. Best start to an evening before the theatre or just for amazing food!
Good food!!
LOVED the roasted duck. Plating was very attractive and the service was very attentive. Had a wonderful experience.
Lobster ravioli is perfect thank you
Really good place to meet up either before or after a theatre performance.
Great pleace, amazing food, friendly staff. Absolutely recommend it!
Found this little gem by chance. 3 adults and a one year old child looking for lunch. The owner very kindly found us a table on what was an extremely busy day. The quality of the food and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. We shall certainly be revisiting this restaurant again.
This is a great restaurant, tucked away behind the theatre. The food was fantastic and the staff were very attentive, making for a great evening.
Polite staff...food was good. Seemed like the Rib eye was the meal to go for. Fish was just fine but nothing special.
Didn t start well, had no crushed ice for a cocktail!! But ice cubes for other drinks!! Food was hot but small dishes.
I love it when you go somewhere and it just puts a smile on your face because of the ambiance, plus the food was lovely. Given where it s situated the prices are very reasonable too. I even enjoyed the Christmas songs (and I normally hate Christmas songs!) because they were old school, Dean Martin etc. First time we d been there, but hopefully not the last. Great
Lovely but pricey esp drinks
We came across this little restaurant bar on the bend of an alley completely by chance. What a joy to relax quietly away from the crowds and in a very friendly setting! The staff are very helpful and pleasant, we didnt have a meal just drinks. But we were able to see the nice plates of our neighbors. If youre in the area, its ideal to take a little break! And very attractive prices for London. We highly recommend it and we will certainly return there on our next trips to London.
Try the burger, you will not be disappointed!! One of the best burgers we have had in a long while. Lovely cocktails to die for. Aperol Spritz was the bomb.
Great place to eat
Pre Theatre meal at Koha, arrived half hour early but staff managed to seat me, all i can say is excellent food served by excellent staff, will be my first port of call next time in London
Fresh and delicious food, excellence customer service and cozy atmosphere!
Pre theatre dinner here was fab: theburger was to die for. Loved the whole meal, great stuff.
A very nice surprise at the bend of a small street. Very good service. We received very good advice and the evening was perfect! Delicate and delicious cuisine with the added bonus of a very good wine to accompany it all. We highly recommend it
Exquisite taste and excellent service. Also there is a collateral chance of running into a celebrity.
An old haunt, excellent food freshly prepared, limited but good wine menu, all at very reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
Delicious food great place to have dinner before a show
Lovely place food wonderful.
Been going there for 15 years, it never disappoint. Highly recommended of you want nice food and a quiet and relaxing evening away from the west end noise.
Food was very poor, I had a burger and I would never order this again in this place.
Food was absolutely delicious, my favourite place in Center of London
Great restaurant, Lovely vibe and really well cooked food at a good price.
Great food,. Wonderful staff, awesome vibe. The staff really know wine, and thier pleasure in feeding folks really shined through. The steaks and duck were great, and the spicy fries had some tasty heat . Tucked away in a corner, but worth finding.
Roast duck and risotto. Pretty good. Acceptable price-quality ratio for London.
Gem of an intimate & unexpected find in the heart of theatre-land. Food was exquisite and incredibly priced for what was fine dining. I had the sea bass which was delicate, followed by butternut squash creme brûlée which was a new and exotic experience I would replicate. Partner had the duck which he was also enamoured with. Would definitely go again and highly recommend - there was no rushing even though we went pre-show time.
So friendly, delicious food and plenty of it.
Went here for the first time and will defo be back. Food was lovely. Service and staff great and very welcoming
Food and service were ok. A little dated inside, but nice and convenient for theatres.
Love, love, love this place!!! Attentive waiting staff and food to die for!!!!
Delicious food and great service
Fabulous food Great Service
Delicious food
Ive been coming here since 1995 and every time I come to London I try and pay a visit.it is the best place .
Best burger in London
very professional and very lovely place ................................................................
very lovely place, enjoing every moment
Gorgeous food with lovely homey survives. Cafe Koha is the first restaurant I ve visited in the UK 2 years ago, and it became one of my favorite and special to-go place. It s a perfect place not only for enjoying seasonal cuisines, but also for casual drinks in a warm atmosphere with the best staffs ever. I highly recommend here when you drop by central London.
Had an excellent pre-theatre meal here on Monday night. Calamari was the best Ive ever had, cooked to perfection. Lovely & friendly service.
Lovely burgers and ice cold beer, a perfect combo. Been visiting for years and always a pleasure.
the food at koha was amazing and definitely lived up to the price. the produce was fresh and the food was extremely tasty. the service was fast and efficient and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hygiene was all around very good when it came to the food aswell as the cleanliness of the place. i would 100% recommend visiting koha and i as well will be returning back.
Great pre-theater or after-theater spot right between the stage doors of two West End theaters. Lovely menu with something for everyone, indoor or outdoor seating, and the manager Albi could not be a lovelier host. He really works to make sure you have a great experience. The outdoor tables have the charm of being between two stage doors; just be advised that theater workers and patrons north like to grab a smoke before the show out here, and there s not much of a breeze, so it can be smoky.
Food was average for what it cost. Service was also not too good. Place itself is a bit dated. Toilets are dirty.
say to us at 22:30 is closed
Quality ingredients expertly cooked and served with a smile. My rib-eye medium rare was perfect. Plus the manager is elephant-friendly. Bonus :-) Great for pre theatre or as a dining experience in its own right.
For a restaurant boasting 4 plus stars it was definitely not my experience. The portions were small. My main course...duck was rubbery and barely warmed up. Not freshly cooked at all! Our waiter tried to hurry our meal in spite of us having booked before requiring a deposit of 60 Pounds! It was not even that busy. Ill never return....a very over rated restaurant.
We had a pre film dinner at Koha and were very pleased with the experience. The service was prompt and friendly, especially the Maitre D. The duck was excellent and one of the best Ive had for a while. Very tender and served with Rosti. My friends had the steak which was also tender and well cooked. Overall good value and we will return again.
Called in on a whim...staff brilliant, food very good . Would visit again when in London
Visited this restaurant, by chance last Friday on way to theatre. No reservation but Albi still found us a table. Gorgeous food. Last night (7/7/22) again, we turned up without a reservation. Albi found us a table and we had an excellent meal. I had salmon, my husband chose ribeye steak. Both superb. However it is important to books as gets very busy. I promised Albi hextvtime I would. Thanks to all staff for their friendliness and professionalism.
We ordered the lobster ravioli featured in the photo below as a main, tasty but it came with just three ravioli, not eight as the in the photos. The prices overall were much more expensive than the previous times we ve visited. Staff are lovely.
I still dream about the baked camembert starter! Beautiful menu and service.
Quite possibly the best food Ive eaten. I had the scallops as a starter, the duck for my main and the pistachio cheesecake for my dessert. I was overjoyed with every mouthful, my only complaint is that it was so perfect that I ate it so quickly. If I had to pick holes in the food, the port sauce that came with the duck was maybe a touch too sweet but Im just being difficult. The staff were incredibly welcoming and whoever cooked our food is an asset to their restaurant, a incredibly talented team all round. I honestly cant wait until I get the opportunity to eat their again, it was a pleasure.
Poor quality of food and wine
Nice chilled place for pre theatre dinner with interesting desserts. Great place for post theatre drinks
We only stopped here for a glass of champagne, which was delicious and perfectly chilled. I left my very expensive sunglasses on the chair and was delighted to find they had found and kept them for me. So impressed with the service and honesty of the staff.
Greàt little restaurant Just behind Liecester square tube station. Good for after show drinks and nibbles. For a maturer clientele.
Very fruendly
Good location for grabbing some food after a show. Staff were efficient and friendly. Food was good, duck was unfortunately slightly overdone, burger was very good. However gents toilets were pretty grim with no working dryer and no towels to dry hands lets the place down.
Not tasty
Worth the bit of wait, delicious food!
Good, short menu - good food Loved the wine Great location for the theatre
What a lovely restaurant. The food was amazing, ( we all had fish and chips) best Ive had ever. The staff were fabulous, we asked about the offer we had seen on the website, they said the website had changed, very sorry. Fair enough, but then offered us free drinks and produced a cheesecake for us to share. They chatted to us and talked about their plans for the restaurant. They should give training in customer service to other places I could mention but wont on this occasion. My friends and I dont get to London often so our experience at Koha made our day so much better. Thank you, we will be back .xxx
Fantastic food and very reasonably priced!
Delicious food and great service. The facilities needed a good clean though.
What a tourist trap in restaurant management they say when the toilet of a restaurant is dirty beware because the restaurants kitchen is likely to be as dirty or worst I ll stop here cause there s no point going into details.
Great food and service, highly recommend checking Koha out!
We had a great evening at Koha. Service excellent, food delicious and lovely buzz. This must have been at least my 10th time there and this place never disappoints.
Great service, great food
Excellent dishes, enjoyed lovely dinner with friends very much
Stumbled upon this place to find the food amazing, staff very friendly and reasonably priced for the quality.
Ilirjan who served us was wicked very kind and amazing food . The chicken risotto was very delicious. Big compliments to the chiefs and staff
Pleasant enough but expensive and slow to get drinks served on arrival. But enjoyed our burgers.
Iliryan An excellent service and further
Great restaurant, great service, great welcome, refined meal, very welcoming and friendly staff. Good value for money.
Very good restaurant, the waiter Ilirjan is super welcoming and excellent food
Very conveniently located right next to exit 1 at Leicester Square tube station. Tucked away in a lane way. Had a nice meal and friendly service. Enjoyed the lamb and duck plus desert.
Ilirjan was lovely waiter and the food was amazing. Lovely traditional quiet spot in west end .
We came across this restaurant just looking for a quick snack and drink and we were very impressed with the staff, the atmosphere and of course the food. If you find yourself in London, give it a shot. You will not be disappointed.
Good portion and great ribeye steak. I was less fond of the fries that didn t seem to be homemade.
We did not have too much time and had no idea what type of food Koda serves. I think we were a bit too lucky! Gnocci and lamb we had was really good. Will go back for sure to taste rest of the menu!:)
Picked Koha via online surfing looking for a place to get a reservation for dinner before the opera. So glad we found it! Food was delicious, with good portion sizes and artful presentation. Cocktails were surprisingly good (and honestly mixed cocktail improvements in London have been the most pleasant surprise since my last visit!). Our server was a bit concerning at first but the place was packed so he was super busy, and as soon as we had his undivided attention his charming personality came out and he took excellent care of us throughout. So the message is be a bit patient and kind - this place is clearly well managed with a great service attitude built into their team. Highly recommend Koha for an overall great experience!
I have been going to the Koha for years, and it has always been good, but it seems to have improved, and our meal on Tuesday evening was superb. Strongly recommended.
Lovely old style restaurant in the heart of the west end. Good food , efficient service and lovely friendly staff.
What a brilliant restaurant and bar with excellent service and food. We we were a large group of ladies that visited KOHA on a Saturday evening for food and drinks and it is very busy but the level of service was never compromised. Everyone got greeted with a smile and everyone working there is so polite and accommodating and the food was delicious. Will defiantly be coming back .
Tucked away in the heart of the West End, Koha has a vibrant atmosphere, with very welcoming and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend the Koha we had pre show drinks and after show dinner and the food was great.
Excellent
Ive eaten here twice in the last year and each time the food has been great, the staff friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect too, tucked away between two sets of stage doors.
Great food and service. Excellent location, just next to Leicester Square Station.
Great food, great service, great place.
We visited Cafe Koha Bar randomly and the reason was it was the only one of the few restaurants with available table on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly and attentive but just kind of slow. Their menu wasnt in a great variety but pretty decent. We got their Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Rib-Eye Steak with port sauce with a hint of truffle. The portion was good enough to share with two of us with reasonable price. The food was overall delicious, especially the steak, it was well-grilled, tender and perfect with the amazing truffle sauce. However, the duck breast could ve been better, it was a little overcooked and tough to chew.
Excellent service and delicious food
Had truffle risotto and juice, the taste is nice.
I cant comment on the food as we never got to eat here. I made an online booking ten days before a theatre trip. Three hours before we were due to arrive got sent an email that it had been cancelled - no explanation. When I called was told they were fully booked and after querying how that could be since Id had a booking for ten days they hung up on me. So now too late to get a seat anywhere in the West End. Time to make some sandwiches.
Food: 5 out of 5 (the duck with potato rosti is incredible, the quality of ingredients and the cooking are simply wonderful) Service: 3 out of 5 Overall: 4 out of 5
