We had a fabulous lunch there on the 11th Dec. I thought 3 courses for £45 was excellent value. I wish I took the name of the waitress we had, she was excellent. Well definitely return

We spend time

Booking no problem, but as its busy you cant just turn up. For food we had the festive menu, of which all dishes looked good. Of what we had, every bit was eaten. The service from Lamgie was perfect, always ensuring we were happy but without over doing it. We would go again without doubt Dietary restrictions: The staff checked beforehand about allergies.

The staff make the experience in this restaurant they are all just lovely .

This place is the best

Really beautiful hotel and the food was really nice. I had the Quinoa salad to start which was tasty, but quite salty then I had the seabass as a main which was lovely. We went on a bottomless lunch experience and chose the Prosecco which I recommend. The staff were really friendly and helpful from the entrance of the hotel to the restaurant. Dietary restrictions: They were accommodating for all allergies and made a point to ask at the beginning of the meal and the chef was able to make adaptations to meals to remove items without a fuss.

This was bought as a birthday treat and what a treat is was! You know a place was good when weeks later you think about the real, the restaurant, the evening and it makes you smile! The terrace was perfect for drinks on a balmy London evening. Thwn into the restaurant for fantastic 3 course dining. Service was attentive but not OTT, food and requests were carried out to the letter. Would go back in a heartbeat.

I liked this place , the service was excellent and they have really lovely garden where you can enjoy the weather. I loved the dessert choices !

It would have been a perfect dining experience if it wasnt for the incorrect bill, it took awhile to resolve, wasted my vacation time.

So disappointed by our meal here. Two of us for bottomless brunch. Firstly brunch is a stretch, its a normal lunch menu with fish & chips, steak etc, the only brunch like option is an avocado toast starter. Secondly the food was so bland and sub-par that I was tempted to contest the bill. Kedgeree that was just yellow coloured rice/overcooked lentils with a piece of salmon (with soggy skin), not a spice to be found. And the waffles were obviously bought in and heated up - very dry and crumbly, couldnt finish it. The thought of what we couldve got for this price elsewhere...!

Booked this a gift for a birthday but to be honest I was quite disappointed. No real atmosphere, service was pretty much non existent and certainly not worth the 12.5% service charge. Started well, we were seated shown the menu and then once we had been given our tea and sandwiches we were left. At first that seemed quite nice, but our tea was cold and not replenished, our sparkling wine was flat. When we asked for a second glass, we waited over half an hour. It wasn t up to the standard I would expect for the price nor for a prestigious hotel competing with others in the area. Needs to work on customer service and attentiveness, if it s to raise its standards.

Staying here at the Royal Horseguard Hotel, we were very well taken care of by Abdul Mohit with our room service order. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations and appetite! Definitely recommend the room service as well as the morning breakfast.

The standards have certainly gone downhill. Starter of prawn and scallop was lukewarm and not very tasty. Prawns from the pan fried salmon were bland. Dessert was awful, it tasted like it was mass produced in a factory. This was not the fine dining experience I had previously had. Service was another story, waiters found it difficult to understand what we were saying. We were having to keep repeating ourselves over an over. Very disappointing

Nice place and incredibly delicious cuisine! The aroma of the dishes is simply gorgeous! I hope you will forgive my photo of the already started dish, the aroma was so attractive that I forgot to take a photo of the serving! We ordered fish fillet with potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly - crispy crust, just the right amount of spices. I highly recommend this place for dinner. The staff is friendly, interested in all the nuances so that you are as satisfied as possible. Beautiful, antique interior. Dietary restrictions: The dishes are not greasy, there are fish and vegetarian dishes.

The food is well prepared and tasty. Maybe a little spicy for me..but thats my fault as I ordered a strong dish... The service is fantastic in a wonderful setting. We were celebrating my wifes birthday but the staff were lovely. A very nice and surprising feature during the meal.

Very pleasant restaurant in the middle of a very well decorated hotel. While food was good, it was a little underwhelming- especially for the price. Ordered the scallops tempura with lentil Dahl and wasnt sure what to expect. As the name suggests, the scallops were battered and deep fried and for me, completely lost the delicacy and freshness of the scallop which is a shame. I also thought the lentil Dahl was bland. Ordered the roast rump of lamp for main and I enjoyed this. Lamb was cooked perfectly and was not too chewy. Ordered the hot chocolate fondant for dessert which was good. While I did enjoy the food overall, I probably wont return.

The service was amazing throughout our meal, in particular the service provided by our waitress Hortense. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect and every course was delicious and portions were just right. Highly recommend. What a find in London.

Dinner for four last week. Great food/drink and equally slow service due to a large party and limited staff. Two of us enjoyed the vegan Gratinated Cauliflower Steak and the guys loved their Slow Roast Rump of Lamb. It s rare that I get to enjoy dairy-free desserts such as their Warm Chocolate Brownie and Vanilla Ice Cream. Gin and tonic is my go-to cocktail. It was fun trying their Beefeater Pink gin garnished with fresh raspberries and a bottle of good tonic water. It was a great way to rest our weary feet after a long day of sightseeing. I am glad that we made reservation s for last Thursday.

I am absolutely disgraced that it is impossible to contact this restaurant. I have been trying to book in however when I call the number that is provided on google, it says number incorrect . I have requested a call back via the hotel and no one has gotten back to me, despite expressing the urgency and leaving several forms of contact options.

Food was really nice but the chairs were worn and shabby and need reupholstering. Also it was very very quiet (which was ok as I was with someone that I had a lot to talk about with). For that I deducted a star.

The restaurant is located in the Horseguard Hotel. I go there for lunch on weekdays. There are only three tables of guests. The food is quite delicious, the service attitude is good, the bread can be refilled for free, and the interior decoration is quite exquisite. Overall, it felt quite comfortable, but maybe it was because we didnt do any special homework beforehand, so we casually ordered some dishes that day, and they werent particularly impressive, which was a pity.

They invited a girl here, naming her a table and what I would be wearing) the waiters and staff surprised me with their serious approach to this task! We visited this restaurant using a woucher code and were not disappointed. Service was excellent. Food was good, hot and tasty. Side dishes are charged as extra. As with any hotel alcohol prices are a bit steep. However, for a special occasion its worth it. The ambiance and atmosphere was good. We went on a Wednesday evening, restaurant was quiet.

Very generous bottomless lunch with two courses £27 per person. We were a group of four and we all enjoyed our experience. The steaks were huge and very tasty as was the fish. Our waitress Ozoda was very attentive and friendly.

My partner and I had a three course Festive meal at the restaurant before Christmas. All three courses where excellent and where washed down with a nice bottle of Prosecco. Beautiful interiors, not too over fussy, very British and love the design around horses and horse guards...We ate at the restaurant as part of a Birthday treat for my best friend. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and professional as well as masked up. We even got a lovely personal message on my Instagram page from the Hotel wishing my best friend a lovely birthday and happy to be a part of it...lovely touch

Subpar food, slow service, and the restaurant itself looked like it hadn t been vacuumed in weeks. The wine and desserts were good, and the staff was friendly if a little confusing at times. For example, they said we had to wait for a table even though most of the restaurant was empty. Overall, not completely awful, but would not necessarily recommend to a friend coming to visit the city.

This restaurant is in the fabulous Royal Horseguards Hotel. Ive been here several times for lunch using Groupon and Wowcher deals. The food is always delicious from salmon and chicken to mouthwatering desserts. Service is always pleasant and efficient. One of my favourite restaurants in London.

Went to the restaurant last night. Due to the District line tube closure, we arrived 30mins late. We were seated immediately. We had the Wowcher 3 course meal with Prosecco. The food & ambience were fantastic & the staff very attentive. We were glad we read previous reviews as when the meal was finished, the waitress explained to us about the Thurs-Sat extra £7.99pp for weekend supplement. They also charged a further optional £7 for service charge. Although enjoyed, we would not return as I was a bit miffed with the £22 extra supplement.

My daughter and I went here last Monday night and had a living social voucher. From the moment we arrived, the staff was so friendly and efficient. Our two servers were Claudia and Ramona. The prosecco was served straight away while we looked at the menu. All three courses were so delicious and we really enjoyed our evening! The surroundings were so nice too. Well be back!

Ive wanted to come here for a long time. I am a native of our state. I began watching mob documentaries as a result of Covid19. This place completely blew my mind. The food was delicious, and the restaurant has a Mafia history. I had a great time. Every penny was well spent.

Terrible service and bland food

Firstly the Welcome was OK, we were seated. The decor was a little outdated and the table cloth had 3 holes not sure how this was laid. The sugar and sweetner was similar to a coffee youd get from a standard coffee shop so this was a let down. The tea had to be sent back as it was luke warm at first but came back hot after the request. The sandwiches were very small and thin. The scones on tne otherhand were large but could have been warm The clotted cream was a little too hard. Overall presentation was standard. The staff were nice and friendly and attentive. Last point this was booked under wowcher and prebooked with details provided. After leaving we returned as the staff didnt realise we were wowcher and presented an £89 bill. After explaing that the wowcer was sent weeks before the staff couldnt understand why we didnt tell her we were wowcher We arrived and I gave my name and the initial booking was under my name for wowcher After several back and forths it was the last nail in the coffin. I would ask the hotel to look at montcalm as a comparison for decor as they are both high stars and for the cost of the afternoon tea look at Cafe concierta This is NOT worth it especially at £89 But neverthelwss it was an experience Kind regards

Delicious lunch at the One Twenty One Two restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and all three courses were very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We were able to sit and chat for as long as we wanted. A really good place to meet and eat with friends.

Food was fine but service was terrible. We were there using a voucher we were bought for Christmas. Seated and given menus and was then a long wait to order, and for food to arrive. Other than to deliver our food we saw no staff. We asked for a drinks menu but then noone came back to take our drinks order, had to flag someone down to take our finished starters after 20+ minutes. Was around an hour and a half from when we arrived to when we finished our mains, at which point we decided to leave rather than wait further for our desserts even though they were pre-paid. Soup and beef were nice, asparagus/Parma ham starter was not great and risotto was mediocre as it seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Main gripe is the service, really made it an unenjoyable experience as we felt actively ignored.

A great venue in the heart of London. A little strange with the social distancing restrictions but I was keen to keep supporting and enjoying fantastic food.

Beautiful restaurant, classic style and luxurious. The staff was impeccable and friendly. The food was good but not of a quality you would expect in such a restaurant. The real let down was the steak which was rubbery and almost inedible. We mentioned it, which we rarely do, at the end of the meal and got offered another main course to make up for it. As we had already three courses we declined politely.

Food made up for the lacklustre interior. Had the set menu through Wowcher and it was a bargain. Food was delicious.

Brilliant food, service and atmosphere

I been to the restaurant before and its usually amazing. But for Valentine s Day having booked 3 weeks in advance. I arrived with my wife to be told that my booking had been cancelled, and that an email was sent that morning. What ever the reason it ruined my plans for what is a very special occasion. The evening could have been salvaged had tgey tried but inestead i was told nothing could be done in a very cold manner. Eedless to say it i was left very disappointed

Lovely looking place, really nice and cozy, lots of places to gather and sit for a relaxing pre-dinner drink. We had a voucher gift of a three course meal with champagne as an Anniversary gift. We loved the whole experience and would certainly recommend. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Take care when ordering water... ask for tap water each time you order more water, if thats what you want, otherwise youll automatically get charged for bottled water. Otherwise all was perfectly good.

My mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Food is exquisite, the front of house team were wonderfully present and knew their menu inside out. Tried a few of chefs recommended dishes and easy to see why - all were delicious.

We visited to celebrate a birthday for lunch. We had high hopes for our experience and were looking forward to our visit. However, things started to go wrong at the point when the waitress opened our first bottle of champagne. She managed to spray a quarter of the contents over my sister! We accepted her apology and ordered our main. Unfortunately, my lamb cutlet was way too pink for me so I couldnt eat it. When the manager opened our second bottle of champagne he managed to hit me in the face with the cork. It was at this point we decided to leave. The decor to us appeared quite tired, especially when compared with other 5 star restaurants we have visited this year. The waiting staff showed little professionalism when serving, constantly stretching a ross our plates to pour, or place items on the table. Will not be visiting again.

Food on the main menu was well prepared and very tasty. Wine menu was fine for London, we had a Gavi di Gavi for £34 and it was very nice. Service was good and tables well spaced.

The food is incredible. Very delicious. But I m afraid the service needs some attention. This would ve been a 4/4.5, if only the service had been better. There was a very large gap between our starters and our mains. I mean a good twenty/twenty five minutes. I had a Negroni to start, which was quite watery and made using terrible wet ice, which watered it down much faster than it should do. The empty Negroni glass and our other glasses were still on the table when we left. After having 3 courses! No empties were cleared during the 3 courses of our meal. We also had to wait 15 minutes to get our bill. Plates having still not been cleared from desert. Not a single member of the floor staff were visible anywhere in the restaurant for that whole time. When they did appear, they all came out at the same time, having obviously been in the back eating. At no point was there an apology. Aside from that, the food is incredible, it s just a huge shame that the service let it down so dramatically.

Breakfast can be a little hectic. Sit outside weather permitting.

This place is terrible!!! I went with my dad and my dog to have a drink and they made us leave because of the dog! I think this is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. It is an outside bar.. In a park!!! And they dont allow dogs!? Are you kidding me. My dog is so well behaved and well kept, its insulted honestly. I cant believe they have the audacity to turn away dogs in a park. Move to another location and let a nice family business with ethical values move in. Not impressed. Its really not a nice way to be treated, to be told to leave an outside space with my dog.

What review does an afternoon tea deserve coming 1h after your reservation time, with dirty cutlery, inattentive & rude staff, dry & tasteless sandwiches, warm scones served at the same time as sandwiches, 2 days cakes filled with sugar and 2£ Prosecco instead of the advertised champagne? Horrible experience ! This isn t a 5 star hotel or restaurant & doesn t deserve the money, even with a discount! Be careful with too positive reviews as they might be paid for by the hotel!
