Dovetale in London

I was here for drinks with a work colleague. There is hardly a better location. The drinks area is comfortable but the service was terrible.

Yesterday we had a girls diner there. It was a great experience thanks to Gianfilippo. He took very good care of us and the service was excellent! Also, he recommended us a few dishes that we absolutely loved! Food

The place is nice. The food is ok. Our waiter was friendly but was inattentive at all but that s due to how busy the place is. I think management should hire more people it s not fair for him to serve all tables we asked for the bill 3 times and never got it until we had to get it up to the front desk. If the service was better the overall experience would ve been worth 4 stars.

The greeting area is a mess: waitresses running, we had to wait 10 minutes to register our reservation and although the table was not ready we were asked to wait literally in a corridor of people coming and going. We were given a table that was right in front of the outside area and the door would keep on being opened and closed with cold air coming in. I asked for sparkling water and my glass was filled with mixed still and sparkling water 3 times. The entres were amazing (oysters, tuna tartare) and the bread too, but the mains ordered were poor (meat with fries, it was 70% fries and 30% meat) and the califlower stake was not good. For the price paid, quality and service, it s a 2 star.

Unbelievably attentive service with a very personable Team. The food was amazing and our special celebration was elevated by the atmosphere and attentiveness the team brought to the evening. Many thanks to Matthew, Jean-Phillipe and their entire team for making our evening the best we have experienced in Mayfair to date. A special mention to Tom Sellers for creating such a fantastic menu and leading such an amazing team. Top Service and I look forward to our next visit.

Met a friend and his wife here on Sunday morning and I was distinctly unimpressed. We were seated outside and never got to the seated indoor area because it was too crowded. You should have told us that there was no chance of sitting inside straight away because if I wanted to feel miserable and cold then I would have opted to sit in the road outside where I think it might have been warmer. There were these very long curtains which achieved absolutely nothing in terms of keeping the very windy and cold weather at bay. I did see a fireplace but that had nothing in it and there were also electric heaters which were not working. Useless for what is supposed to be a Central London prime dining experience. The food that I had was cold suggesting that it had been cooked ages ago and was just waiting somewhere looking and feeling all alone and lost. The coffee that I ordered also took an eternity to arrive and all of the food and drink that I had could easily have been bettered by an eleven year old doing food tech. at school. Would I visit again? Of course not, Im not that sad or desperate.

They charge for bread and tap water and they didn t tell us beforehand that it is not complimentary. Save yourselves some money and go to a different place, there s plenty of good restaurants in the area. The portion was tiny and took forever to arrive.

Service needs improvement

Came here for Sunday roast. Service wasn t great and the roast was underwhelming. For £38 pounds I expected a lot more. The gravy was watery and didn t taste of anything and everything was under seasoned. Please note that you will be charged 15% service along with a cover charge of £5 per person for water and a small bit of bread (sparkling water was dead flat)I had this removed as it s not okay and ridiculous when your prices are high also not very fitting with London as this isn t common and a cheeky opportunity to grab more money. I can t say I will return.

We had a most enjoyable autumn lunch with the menu featuring seasonal ingredients. The dishes use first class produce and are excellently designed and cooked. The beers are very well chosen and the coffees are at the same level. Service is proficient and personable. Overall, this was a very satisfactory and satisfying meal. We will return .

The place looks fantastic. The food is great. But I m sorry, the service is simply appalling. Starters arrived 2 hours after we sat down. Then mains late as well. We were offered free deserts, which were also late, so we ended up declining them! We had an 8.30 booking, and finished at almost midnight. Just spoils the evening.

We are staying at the hotel (for most of a week) and the restaurant is in a lovely setting. The service however is unattentive, cold and not what we were expecting. The only person that smiled was the woman at the check in podium when we left. Although it is convenient for us, we will not return for breakfast and are now not interested in having dinner here.

Great atmosphere. DJ was killing it the whole night. The food was on par to match that atmosphere. And standing above all was the bread!!! I am definitely coming back just for the bread :)

Wife and I had dinner here last night. It was a last minute decision, which we did not regret. The menu covers all bases, and the wine list is extensive. We had some of the duck buns and tuna as a nibble, and the moules-frites and the steak frites which were amazing. We will come back and try more of the menu - it all sounded delicious. The ice-cream menu looks awesome too, next time!

The nicest night I have ever had in London. The staff were so incredibly nice to my family, they gave my son a tour of the kitchen, sang with him and just generally made his evening. The DJ, kitchen staff, waiters and maître d were all so incredibly nice and went out their way to make sure my son (who is only 5) had a brilliant evening. We all had a great time and a brilliant meal. I wouldnt hesitate to go again or to recommend it. Lovely lovely people!

My favorite breakfast place

Came for breakfast and for drinks & apps Ambiance: The space is absolutely gorgeous. Sat inside for breakfast and outside in the evening and both were lovely. Service: Fine. Could ve been better but not awful. Food: Breakfast was not good. I ordered scrambled eggs with a side of spinach (it also came with toast) and the eggs were terrible. They were so wet and undercooked it was like soup and I could ve eaten it with a spoon. Maybe people like this wet, sloppy consistency but I learned today I do not. Next time I will stay far away from the scrambled eggs and order anything else. Evening cocktails and snacks were very tasty. We had the archill oysters, jamón & melón, fried squash blossom, salmon crudo, wagyu beef carpaccio, sweet corn ravioli, fries. Everything was fantastic expect the salmon which did not seem very high quality and the dish had some odd flavor I couldn t recognize (it was the only dish we didn t finish). The ravioli was the group favorite so much so we ordered 2 (1 order only comes with 4 ravioli). The oysters were also delicious. Surprisingly I really enjoyed the wagyu carpaccio and I despise beef carpaccio usually, but with the grated cheese on top and the texture of the beef with the fat chips it was very good. Jamón and squash were both good but not mind blowing. Still a very good round of appetizers.

Good food, decent service but not for the price. There are better options available for the prices they re charging. The Duck was a good dish.

First time to me to see place in london with 5 stars in all ways. The food portions are balanced well, the staff more than amazing they are above 5 stars very friendly kind and respectful they gave you the feeling that you are a prince . A month ago a friend and I visited here to have a catch up dinner. Everything from the food, service and decor was amazing. The steak tartare toasts are so so good, we ordered multiple! We had the carpaccio and scallops for starters, then the sea bream and moule frites for mains. Tara the sommelier was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. Beatriz and Yamina were also lovely and took the time to explain the dishes to us and help us with food choices as I had dietary restrictions. Edgir was also very lovely and accommodating and noted my suggestion to add the Fortaleza reposado tequila to the drinks menu. We cant wait to go back and try other dishes.

I visited this restaurant today with my husband for brunch. We loved the breakfast dishes, ambiance and the service. Will definitely be back. We were served by a waitress called Karen, who was very helpful and extremely lovely! She made the experience special.

This was by far my favorite dinner I ve ever had in London. The food we ordered was oysters (amazing!), caviar 30g (the blinis were warm and fresh!), the amazing blood orange crudo, imperico ham, sea bream (my favorite meal!), the pork chop and crab pasta. Everything was exquisite. The service and ambiance was impeccable too with Francesca as our waiter. Thank you for an amazing time - we will be back next time we are in town. :)

We were very much looking forward to dining at Dovetale having seen it at Christmas when we stayed at the hotel and had a great experience. Sadly we were very disappointed. We sat down and were asked if we would like still or sparkling water. On no less than 3 occasions throughout the night our water glasses had to be replaced after first the sparkling water was not sparkling then a staff member filled up our half full sparkling water with tap water. Our vegetarian food was tasteless and very oily. At no point were we asked if we wanted to order drinks or wanted a drinks menu. We did ask for a drinks menu that we never received. I would have expected far better for a restaurant attached to 1hotel given the room cost. The poor experience and over priced menu has been a trend in my experience for restaurants attached to 1hotel. In the last month I also had a poor experience at Jam in New York.

Fantastic all around. Perfect place for any occasion, whether it be a dinner with friends, corporate outing or celebration. Highly recommended!

Todays brunch in the secret under cover garden was fabulous I m coming back for the passion fruit mojito and crab omelette .. loved the personal hello touch by the doormen and really down to earth friendliness of service from Tony and his staff team .. see you soon again!

I had a lovely brunch here with family and friends over the weekend. This spot is perfect as it s SO centrally located. We sat in the outside garden area which was perfect for a sunny day and enjoyed everything Dovetale had to offer. Our drinks were delicious and generous and the food was delicious including the best salmon and creamy eggs I ve had in a long time. We will be back

Nes was a wealth of information and enhanced our dinner with fun, adventurous, and well matched pairings for each of our pallets. They are both lovely and knowledgeable. Outstanding, layout of restaurant is very airy , well spaced. Staff are very attentive and most importantly the quality of food is 10/10. Excellent oysters , ribeye steak was perfectly cooked and decent portion , my friend had the sea bream , he loved that and not to forget the deboned chicken which was delightful . Definitely my new spot in Mayfair

We had a group dinner there last night... and it was nothing short of exceptional. The food was incredible - the starters - my god they were something else; The mains were fab too, as was the wine selection. I am looking forward to going back to the margarita cart. The décor is fabulous. But really I have to comment on the team working there - they really were wonderful, thoughtful and attentive. What an absolute credit to Dovetail - Suryanshu was exceptional in dealing with us, Matt made sure we were happy and looked after. Thank you and see you are Margaritas soon.

We celebrated my partners birthday at Dovetale and it was truly a memorable experience. The classy interior set the perfect ambiance for the evening, complemented by impeccable service. The food was exceptional, and the dessert was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. My partner was delighted and thoroughly pleased with the entire dining experience. Was very much looking forward to this being one of our nicest meals in London - turned out to be very disappointing. Service was terrible. Had to wave the servers down to get a cocktail menu. Once they did come rushed to get our orders quickly and all at one time. Never came by to check on us or offer additional drinks. Food was fine. Service took so long we passed on the ice cream Sunday bar - which I was really looking forward to. Charged for bread even though we never ordered that. Also, please note there is a 15% service charge added to all bills.

My husband & I had a delightful Sunday roast. From the moment you step inside, youre greeted by a beautiful interior and perfect atmosphere for a relaxed meal. The waiters are not only lovely but incredibly accommodating, especially with our baby as we had a pram. The food portions are generous but also absolutely delicious. The beef roast and sticky toffee pudding was amazing! Ill definitely be back to try more dishes from their lunch and dinner menus. And on a hot day, check out their lovely terrace.

Everything was excellent. Only two things was we paid in cash and the change was not bought back to me and we were asked whose birthday it was told them and that was it nothing at all.

The food was delicious, the staff super knowledgeable and helpful, and the interior design of the restaurant and bar are stunning. My favourite dishes were the wagyu beef carpaccio, and the sea bass crudo - both were 10/10.

The perfect girls night out & amazing food

We visited London today with the intention of finding somewhere to celebrate my friend s new job and we came across Dovetale which is a hidden gem within the One Hotel, 5 min from the Green Park station. We were pleasantly greeted and were seated at the most beautiful table, where we were served by two incredible ladies, Alexandria and American lady, who put our minds at ease with their incredible recommendations and unforgettable cocktail expertise. Our dinner was overall amazing and definitely made our experience comfortable and enjoyable. We will 100% be returning and hopefully will come across the kind faces we saw today

Dovetale is excellent. Service was friendly and helpful. The whole meal was fantastic. We had oysters and wagyu carpaccio to start. Between 4 we share two pork chops and the whole chicken as our mains. Both were fantastic and it was plenty for four people. The ice cream sundae desserts are a lovey touch to finish the meal, like being a kid again!

Service was a let down during this lunch visit. When you read about Dovetail the word Michelin always seems to be included. We went for the set lunch menu with an extra side to share. The food was good. The salmon belly starter was delicious. The fish pie was good, the variety of fish within was excellent. It came out in its individual bowl on top of a napkin. So if you re trying to eat your fish pie and want to bring your side food to the plate there is a messy napkin in the middle of it. We played a game of placing the spinach on the side of our plate trying to avoid the napkin. We bought a bottle of wine and after the first pour we said To The sommelier that we would like to pour it ourselves. She was not happy with this and begrudgingly brought us an ice bucket. At no point during our main meal did anyone check on us or ask if everything was okay. At that point e may have asked for a water top up. We had be brought a glass of water each. No bottle of filtered water. No topping up during our meal. Our empty plates were left on the table for an extended period of time. The waiter who gave the table a clean down just brushed the crumbs onto the floor. We were asked if we wanted desert, we said please give us a few minutes. He never came back to follow up. The sommelier never returned to us to check if we wanted anything more to drink. You never know, we might have done. . When we asked for the bill the waiter didn t say anything and walked passed us. We asked him again, he didn t say a word and gave us a look that said, what do you think I m doing. We were shocked. On bringing us the card machines, he did not engage, ask us how our meal was, nothing. For such an establishment, service should be top notch. I had brought a friend there, with high hopes. We both came away disappointed and feeling a little let down.

Really beautiful décor and ambiance. We dined for breakfast on March 8th and were very disappointed with the service. The manager wasnt very friendly, never checked in to ask how our food was. We had to flag her down to fill our water. Once we were finished, our empty plates sat for ages so we asked someone to please bring the bill and remove the service. For another 7 minutes or so we waited for the bill and our plates to be removed. No one asked why we werent happy with the service and the manager never acknowledge this, despite it being brought to her attention. She carried on working as did the waitress we requested the bill from, serving and waiting other tables. Eventually we paid for our meal while standing up with our jackets on. There was no coordination amongst the staff which is unacceptable for a fine dining restaurant.

We spent a week dining at Dovetale for breakfast when staying at the 1 Hotel. Service is top notch with all the employees going above and beyond to make our stay special. A special thank you to Sylvia and Luis! They checked on us often to make sure we were enjoying the food and asking about our time in London. There s a plethora of breakfast options but some of our favorites were the yogurt bowls, fresh juices, burrata omelette, and croissant with smashed avocado and smoked salmon. The breakfast was our favorite part of staying at the 1 Hotel.

It s a whole experience and started from the front door, a very nice gentleman open the door following the hostess looking after ones belongings! The food was 5* !!! Service as well ! This place is just wow! My friends and I booked a table for 6 on Saturday night and are already planning a trip back. Menu is phenomenal, we had oysters steak and fish to share. My favourite starter was the beef carpaccio and the steak was definitely the best steak I have had in London. Service was great too and our waitress Alexandra was part of our crew by the end of the evening, she was so great! We shared some sundaes from their Knickerbocker Glory ice cream truck so unique and delicious.. Highly recommended. The venue itself is also beautiful. See you again on Saturday!

Food was brilliant - one of the best meals had in London recently.

A really enjoyable group meal for nine. We had a set menu at £92pp and it seemed limited at first with only three serving options per course. ie. 3 types of starter, 3 types of main etc. but in fact it was superb. I asked for red and White House wine and aside from a luke warm first bottle of white they were delicious. I m happy to give the benefit of the doubt here as the rest made up for it. Special mention to the sirloin as it was memorably good. Also nice prompt attentive service, and a good vibe of a relaxed but high quality venue. Well done.

Well what a great new place. Small concise menu, but very well selected as everything is to an amazing standard and taste. The knickerbocker Sundaes are a really nice touch. Great vibe and very helpful and friendly staff. A very welcome addition to the London food scene. Also a great bar next door with a very cool vinyl DJ. Overall a great night out. As a new update. Went for the Sunday roast and I must say that its the nicest roast beef that I have ever had. I don t know how the chefs can cook it so perfectly. Well worth a try on a Sunday. Another update: I went back again mid week and I have to say that I think that the food standard has got even better. The tastes were on point!

Came for a Sunday roast for my partners birthday as a treat - WOW what an incredible roast!! We did two courses for £45 each, which is well worth the money but I think our eyes were bigger than our bellies! There was a £5 cover charge per person for bread and water, but the bread was absolutely delicious so well worth doing. Starters were delicious, we had french onion soup & the burrata. For the roast I had the chicken and my partner had the beef. Incredible roast, healthy portion of sides & the roasties were to die for! We couldn t finish all the sides as we were stuffed, those roast potatoes really stole the show! Would really recommend - service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Decor of the restaurant was lovely also, felt cozy yet sleek.

It is a very elegant restaurant. The interiors are very luxurious. Nikolett, the Manager was so warm and welcoming and made us feel extremely comfortable . She greeted us with a huge smile and guided us to the bar. She got us a place at the last moment and was very kind. My friend and I went for drinks and I must say the bartenders are extremely skilled at making drinks. George was amazing and made us the best drinks one of which I would now say is my favourite cocktail. He observed and made my friend and I drinks that we enjoyed so much. Overall, impeccable service, great drinks and vibes. I would definitely visit again. Totally worth the visit, would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing experience here at Dovetale. The service was impeccable and the food was first rate. The flavours and textures really were fantastic. In particular, Tara, Alexandrina and Luis made us very welcome and were particularly warm and helpful. The vibe is high end and special and also very genuine and heartfelt. A beautiful meal and memory, highly recommended.

A culinary oasis in the heart of Mayfair, just a hop away from Green Park tube station. Led by the Two Michelin-starred Chef Tom Sellers, promises an unforgettable dining adventure. We had shared starters and a side dishes. But hold your fork! However, the main course stole the show: the English wagyu beef a surprising find, as we often associate wagyu with Japan. Cooked to perfection, the meat so tender it melted in my mouth, leaving a harmonious and flavorful impression. And dessert? Brace yourself for the Knickerbocker Glory a tower of sweetness that defies gravity. There s no wrong way to attack it; just dive in and enjoy the visual spectacle. Don t miss the restaurant s outdoor terrace, where you can soak in the ambiance. The location, attentive staff, and delectable food create an experience that s worth every penny. Vegetarian options: There are no vegetarian dish on the menu, however , there are food listed on the menu that doesnt have any meat in it. Best way is to call them. Dietary restrictions: I would recommend to call them in advance to arrange it. Parking: I believe there are only street parking here . Kid-friendliness: Yes I would think so as this is part of the hotel Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the street level and the layout is on one floor.

Superb meal in a lovely restaurant.

Just realised it s opened by the chef who was in charge of one of my fav RESTAURANT STORY!! Opens at 1pm and need to check on their website for what s serving on the day - varies on weekdays and Sundays. What surprised me is the champagne made in UK - it has a very good smooth texture and definitely goes well with the occasion ( or any other day really) Need to take the beef carpaccio - not sure if it was veel / just simply wagyu but definitely lovely As a British cuisine - the duck comes in 2 ways of playing - sausage way and the standard breast low temp cooking way. I had the sausage after and it was definitely tasting more special than the standard way of cooking from what I felt Good decor with nice distance, good location and will recommend to friends :) !

Well put together restaurant with good ambience and created high expectations for the evening, however I cannot recommend. Our night was unfortunately cut short midway through our main course as another patron decided to have a facetime conversation on loudspeaker. When we mentioned this to the staff we were asked to move before any attempt was made to discuss the issue with the solo gentleman. After pressing that this wasnt acceptable or correct etiquette to be on your phone at the table and it was ruining our experience/meal, we were told by the restaurant staff that this behaviour is the modern dining experience and this low level of etiquette and entitlement was allowed by restaurant guests. Perhaps if we were hotel guests it would have been different? Very disappointing as it ruined an evening we were thoroughly looking forward to start the new year having booked some weeks ago and the situation could have been dealt with in a much more tactful and effective manner by the number of staff members involved. To then be given a full bill with service charge included given our horrible experience and the fact that my partner only ate half her meal was really insulting.

I visited Dovetale for lunch on the 31st December 2023. I am extremely startled by the bill which smacks us with a cover charge of £5 per person. When we enquired about the charge, the waiter said this is a charge for water and bread. I think there are a few things to point out: 1. I am not aware that a cover charge exists in your restaurant. It should be disclosed in your menu or displayed in a very visible sign. 2. We did not order bread and no one said to us bread is included in the cover charge; so instead of being asked I think guests should be offered without asking? 3. According to the licensing law, restaurants that serve alcohol have to provide FREE drinking water; so why should this be charged? The food and venue is absolutely lovely but with an undisclosed price tag; I think everyone should give this a miss! It is absolutely horrible that a restaurant should try to charge customers unethically!

Exceptional Service from a Kind and Patient Waiter My wife and I today dined at this restaurant and had the pleasure of being served by an outstanding waiter Giles . His kindness, patience, and helpful demeanor truly stood out. We witnessed him assisting a customer who faced language barriers with professionalism. It was evident that he went above and beyond to make the dining experience enjoyable for everyone. Many thanks to Giles for his exceptional service he truly deserves recognition for making our visit memorable

Considering the talent behind this place I was completely underwhelmed, a near empty restaurant and yet everything took ages. Service was friendly but slow. The food however was overall a huge disappointment, the wagyu starter was good as for everything else just mediocre. The prices are Mayfair hotel appropriate, sadly the standard of our meal really didnt justify the cost. Finally a special mention for the knickerbocker glory, which was nothing more than a tall glass of sugar. To be clear the chef Tom Anglesea was turning out some of the best food in London while at the Laughing heart.

We were very excited to try the new 1 Hotel. The ambiance mirrors its sister hotels, and the vibe is nice. The restaurant feels very open, which makes it accommodating for larger groups, and perhaps less intimate for a smaller date. The oysters and Harrys Bar steak tartare were delicious, while the crab salad was OK. We ordered the chicken for 2, and I was a bit let down, chicken is difficult to amaze at a restaurant. It lacked flavor, and the salad on the side was just OK. Next time, I will try the dessert. Service was 100%! Thank you.

I had the pleasure of dining here last Friday with a friend of mine. The place came with a lovely atmosphere and well decorated interior which complimented it very well. There is a lot of attention to detail which is paid to the whole set-up and it adds to the character for this fine eatery. I had the pleasure to be served by the Waitress Cristina and breakfast manager Sylwia. They took care of our every need throughout our short stay and provided a homely vibe. Something which isnt always on the card when having breakfast, but highly welcome. We had the pastry selection and flat white to pair with. The pastries itself (especially the Danish Apricot pastry) was a delight; it wasnt too sweet and delicate. I would not mind coming here again for the baked goods.

We love the 1 hotel brand so were excited to come here. Unfortunately it missed expectations. Positives the food and some of the staff are good. Negatives: - they charge £5 for bread and tap water per person, whilst the receipt also shows £0 for bread. When questioning this charge the staff and manager got argumentative and then the manager sold his team under the bus and blamed them. When he was worse at taking feedback than our waitress - waitress didnt know the dishes to recommend or give any tips/insights on how many to order. Forced us to order all at once - drinks could take 20mins or more - restaurant was near empty so no atmosphere - some more early opening issues which I wouldnt expect having been open for nearly a month (such as didnt even get offered the wine list) For a place that charges £19 + service charge for an espresso martini, Careys the brand of 1 Hotel and is fighting to be the cool kids in the city they really missed the mark. Sadly wouldnt go back

Absolutely exquisite dining experience and one of the best meals I ve had in London since moving from NYC. Everything on the menu sounded delicious which made it hard to choose what to order. Each dish was perfectly presented and curated with the freshest ingredients - you can t go wrong! The beef carpaccio is to die for, served with beef fat chips to wrap it around. And the thinly sliced ham and melon, shaped into a flower?! Unreal. The ambiance is so warm and inviting and there is so much detail in every inch of the restaurant. you can sit and eat and drink for hours. A must hit in London and one I will be frequenting often!

Firstly - for anybody looking for an incredible atmosphere (it was really buzzing vibe especially considering it was a Monday evening), wonderful and caring staff (who we also heard love working there) and beautiful and delicious food by a celebrated chef, this is THE place to be. I took my sister there for her pre-birthday celebration and everything from the welcome to the finish was of the highest quality and care. Special thank you to Leonardo (Leo) who was brilliant and made us feel so welcome. I had the wagyu carpaccio which was different, fresh and surprising. I really enjoyed it. We also had a chance to taste their gnocchi which was honestly the best gnocchi of my life and really enjoyed it. The best and most wonderful surprise was the grand marnier soufflé that just melted in the mouth and was literally like eating a cloud! Neither my sister or I had never eaten anything like this. The cocktails were superb also. Atmosphere was 10/10 and my sister also got the cutest surprise with a candle. Very thankful and highly recommend it to anybody looking for a special restaurant. I am sure a Michelin star is not far away

Vibe was quiet for a Thursday night in London and the food was average, especially for the prices you re paying. I wouldn t eat here again. The actual hotel is beautiful though and they have a great bar.

Vibe is awesome. Food is very good/better than other places with trendy vibe. Service friendly but slow. It s new so giving benefit of doubt some kinks to work out but overall, really lose the vibe. Wagyu Carpaccio is amazing.

Food is great, service not so much. Waited 60 minutes to get the bill (no exaggeration) during dinner service. Was here for breakfast as well and had the exact same issue. For a restaurant of this category that aspires to be top tier, this needs to be sorted ASAP. Ambience is top notch - cozy and inviting (same interior designer as Chiltern Firehouse). Be ready to fork out your wallets though! However, this is no different than for any other restaurant in Mayfair / surrounding area . I recommend the mushroom tart and the ribeye - these were the standouts.

Came for a Sunday roast and was pleasantly surprised by the pricing for a Mayfair venue. Roast beef itself was cooked perfect medium rare and the trimmings were all delicious (just wish there was a bit more gravy!). Good value at £45 for two courses, extensive wine list and overall very attentive service.

Excellent food and atmosphere

We ended up spontaneously at the Restaurant Bar and had a fantastic evening! Our main courses were outstanding (we just had main courses, Im sure the rest of the menu is as good as the mains) and the service was excellent! What impressed me the most is despite not having a reservation on a Saturday night in December (!!! - they were completely booked) they still made us feel absolutely welcome and gave us full attention. Thanks a lot, as well for the cute gesture giving us free dessert, my husband loved it! We will be back soon!

Had a work do , fantastic Ambience and location. Unfortunately not for vegetarians , however chef was kind enough to churn up some of his magic and create a lovely Veggie pasta for me . Which I appreciate. Definitely an extra star for the effort made.Kudos to Leonardo

Not many restaurants in London make it past two visits and this one sadly is no different. Had a nice time when it first opened , suggested to my friends from out of town we go there this week. Service was friendly but extremely slow, we were having a good time and not in any rush luckily. (It wasn t busy so this was odd) the Bellinis with the caviar were absolutely horrendous, wet doughy and squished to mush in our hands, sent back and came back out burnt on the outside still uncooked in the middle no money was taken off for this even though we didn t eat them and were clearly upset. Upon checking my bill this morning I see they not only charge 15% service (slightly raised past the usual 12.5 but whatever) they also add on VAT after AND a cover charge so we were charged and extra £15 for existing. Seems like a pointless money grabbing extra expense and could explain the empty seats during the busy festive season. The olive dry cocktail was something I ve craved since my first visit but this time it was already pre made and nothing like the first time. Kinda disappointing. Probably won t be back, the search for someone to beat the two visit curse continues! Kid-friendliness: Lots of babies there
