Our restaurant in Stratford is outside Westfield and the perfect place for a bite to eat before visiting the London Stadium (home to West Ham Football Club), ABBA Voyage or a day of shopping at Westfield Stratford. We have a large outdoor area, perfect for alfresco dining and we've got beer on tap, plus a wine, spirits and cocktail list all expertly selected to complement our homemade ramen. We put our heart and soul into every bowl of ramen - making our noodles, broths, katsu curries, gyoza and sides from scratch. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options too so there's something for everyone.
The food was absolutely lovely. Truly warms your soul kind of ramen. Igor was an amazing serviceman. Was very attentive and even joined in our mini geography debate. Was absolutely great to talk to and we were very lucky to have had him with us. The price is good for what you’re getting. Absolutely will come again.
Ramen Broth Is Amazing, Food And The Standard Is Very Very Good. Had The Lunchtime Deal And Opted For A Big Bowel Of Tokyo Ramen and Karragae. There Chilli Oil With Miso To Add To Absaloutly Anything Is Amazing They Sell This In-store Also.
I recently visited here and was blown away by their ramen! The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles perfectly cooked, and the toppings fresh and generous. The prices are fair, offering great value for such high-quality food. On top of that, the service was amazing—friendly, attentive, and quick. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone craving authentic ramen!
Probably our favourite restaurant in the Westfield Stratford City area. It's located on the outskirts of the shopping centre, about a 10 minute walk from the main area, and because it's off the beaten path, you can usually be sure of walking straight in without queuing, even on a Saturday lunchtime, which is when we tend to visit. There are plenty of tables inside, the restaurant is nice and airy and there's a cool vibe. Though never packed, it's busy, which is always reassuring. Service is friendly and efficient. The servers are quick to recommend dishes in a personable and likeable way. We ordered two Tonkotsu ramen bowls. They came with half an egg, but we are greedy and added an extra half each. The ramen is lovely. It doesn't quite reach the giddy heights of Bone Daddies or Kanada Ya, but the broth and pork is very good, generous, and their noodles, made in-house, are epic. We also ordered some kimchi - a milder variety that paired well with the ramen - and some chicken karage, which was cooked perfectly and a wonderful 'bar snack' while we waited for the noodles. The restaurant is quick turnaround, we were in and out within an hour. Our food, plus a beer and tea, came to £sixty for two. Tokotsu is a reliable, tasty, and convenient stop for lunch if you're in the area. If you're reading this while queuing up waiting to get into Wahaca next door, do yourself a favour, run away, and come here instead.
Good ramen options found here. I suggest trying the Tokyo ramen for flavour, we found it much better. The house ramen, tonkotsu, had a strange very creamy texture but bland flavour. We also had gyosas and edamames (extremely filled with salt) as appetizers. They had very speedy service and our waiter was very attentive. It can be busy and there's usually a line to wait.
It's been a while since I've come here, and the food was still of good quality. We ordered the signature Tonkotsu ramen and the Tokyo ramen (shoyu, soy sauce flavour). The ramen broth had a good depth of flavour, with Tonkotsu being more creamy and Tokyo ramen having more flavour. The ramen noodle was good hardness, the meats were tender, and the egg was done just right. As the restaurant is based on the edge of Westfield, it is very spacious and with outside seating, which is nice on a summer's day.
I recently visited the Stratford branch for the first time and was warmly greeted by a very nice gentleman, which set a positive tone for the visit. We were seated next to a lovely father and daughter, which added to the pleasant atmosphere initially. However, our experience soon took a turn for the worse. The person next to us only ordered food for his daughter, and the waitress responded with a very insulting tone, repeatedly questioning the father about ordering more. This felt unnecessary and rude. When it came to our turn to order, I requested regular fried chicken and two small ramen for myself and my friend. Unfortunately, the waitress took the wrong order, and we were served small chickens instead. When I mentioned this mistake, she returned with an angry and rude attitude, insisting that I had pointed at the small portion. Apart from the gentleman who greeted us with a smile, the rest of the waitstaff were unprofessional and unfriendly. They clearly need training in customer service and should work on maintaining a pleasant demeanor. This experience was so disappointing that I felt compelled to write this review. I hope the management will take this feedback seriously and improve their service quality.
Food here is delicious - the ramen broth was banging, and great options for dietary requirements. Service is very very slow; our side dish came 20 minutes before our mains, and no empty dishes or glasses were taken away until we asked for the bill, and the table was super cluttered. Staff are lovely but the speed let them down a little.
Very good food and amazing service. Must try.
We went to eat at 20:45. Everything was good but at 21:20 they pressed the fire alarm to get rid of us and others from the restaurant. In my opinion, that is unprofessional:)
Andrzej provided excellent service during our visit, he was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He made great recommendations and ensured we had a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend!
We arranged with the whole group to write a review for the excellent night we had at Tonkotsu in Stratford. We had the bday of our friend and Laura (Lara) took so good care of us. We had the proper customer service that you dont see nowadays in the UK. I never went to Tonkotsu before but after this night I will be recommending it to people that want to eat ramen especially the branch in Stratford. I hope this first experience I had will be in similar with the other tonkotsu venues around London in the future. Great job with your staff, the hospitality was amazing!
### Customer Review of Tonkotsu Stratford I recently dined at Tonkotsu Stratford, and I must say, the experience was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to Laura, the manager. Her passion for Japanese cuisine is evident in every detail of the restaurant. The Tonkatsu was absolutely divine! The pork cutlet was perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside. It was served with a delicious tonkatsu sauce that complemented the flavors impeccably. What stood out to me was the attentive service. Laura and her team were friendly and knowledgeable, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. They even offered recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Overall, Tonkotsu Stratford is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Japanese food in London. Kudos to Laura for creating such a wonderful dining experience! I can t wait to return!
The food was bland and tasteless . Went with work group and everyone was underwhelmed by flavours . The worst chicken curry katsu I have ever tried in my life
Igor was a brilliant waiter, and he listened and joined into mine and my friends geography debate. Top tier service and we will both defo come back here !
Food is quick and authentic
Very good service from Andre
Went there during the break at swim gala and enjoyed both food and excellent service from the team. Thank you
Had an amazing time here with great food and fantastic service from Andrzej
The ramen here was terrible. We ordered the chilli chicken ramen, the broth was just chilli and salt, absolutely no flavour. I never write reviews but I was so disappointed I had to. However their chicken Kara age was very delicious I would go back just for that. Also the service was very quick which I appreciated. But If you re craving ramen just buy some shin ramen and save ur money honestly x
Delicious food and amazing staff, top service and would definitely recommend!
We were there on Monday for lunch. Andrzej was very nice and friendly and food was great !
As always Amazing Food and Top Service. Had to leave a review for Andrzej. A must visit for any Ramen lover! I have recommended Tonkostu to many friends and family over the years. Me and my family have dined at a few different Tonkostu locations in London. We are regulars and always love the food and have never been let down. Tonight at Stratford was no different. But I had to leave another review because Andrzej our waiter - the Shift Manager - along with his team, went above and beyond to look after us so well. His attentive, caring service and good energy made the night for us. I have always experienced great service at Tonkostu but tonight was especially worth talking about because even though it was his first time meeting us since the staff has recently changed, he treated us so well on our first time as his customers. Great food is made sweeter by the quality of the people serving it and Andrzej definitely did that for us. Well keep coming back. Thanks again Andrzej Kid-friendliness: They were very attentive to my young 8yr old nephew and constantly checked to make sure he was happy and if we needed anything specific for him it was never an issue
The chilli tofu ramen is the best I ve tasted from a chain restaurant, could absolutely eat this everyday Dietary restrictions: Something available for most dietary preferences
Really great food and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
Really good tiger prawn ramen, prawns cooked very very well. I would love it if they had thicker noodles.
Amazing food, Child friendly, and the possibility of asking for smaller platters not to waste food is a great deal. Personnel and service is also very attentive. Recommended!
Great experience! Amazing comforting food. Loved the Tokyo Ramen. The seats were a little unclean. But otherwise, all good. Food : 4/5
Lovely weekday lunch offer!
I do not know what was worse; the chaotic service or the burned katsu curry sauce. The starter of chicken karaage was slimy and fatty The highlight of the meal was leaving. Struggled to find anything Japanese about this place, other than the name. Avoid
Do not order food for takeaway. The amount of food is a joke. I think instant soup is much better. Kimchi I paid 5.50 literally one table spoon in the box. I am really disappointed. Also quality of food very poor.
It s unfair to call this a ramen restaurant when the broth of their ramen is nothing like authentic ramen. Having traveled to Japan and experienced real ramen, it s disappointing that they label themselves as a ramen restaurant. Hope they can improve the taste of their soup on ramen
I couldn t enjoy it because the electricity went out whilst I was there. Very disappointed when they came to the table and offered me only 50% discount.
Ohana service was amazing! Such a lovely girl will come again
This place is a gem! Hearty, homely food, and reasonably priced. Arguably the best wings anywhere and the tonkotsu ramen is a winner every time. The service is incredible and everyone is always friendly, attentive and ready to help.
Went on a date and was very dissapointed. The cauliflower wings were overpriced, did not taste remotely japanese, and were incredibly salty, it was actively revolting. The tonkotsu itself was insipid, the broth lacked depth or flavour. The meat was tough and relatively tasteless, the noodles were unfortunately mediocre with a strange texture that you do not find in more authentic restaurants. The nicest aspect of the dish was the bamboo shoots. I love Tonkotsu and have eaten it in various places in Japan and the UK and this is without a doubt the worst I have had. I visited tonkotsu before it was a large chain and the quality was much higher, it is a shame the standard slipped so much. To top everything off the price is pretty expensive for what you get. They have Kirin on Tap which is nice I guess.
Had a wonderful Friday night dinner date. The Chilli Prawn Ramen was amazing. Thank you to our server Andrzej, brilliant service. Can t wait to visit again.
Really nice dinner and I had a good time. Went with my friend and ordered edamame, king prawns and 2 really tasty ramen with amazing flavoured eggs. Staff so friendly. I never had Ramen before and will go back to try them all!
Love this place! The food here is fab! Especially the chilli chicken ramen. We were served by Andrzej and his service was 10/10! He did a great job. Will be back again
Nice ramen, nice beer, reasonably priced! Waiter Andrzej is lovely.
Very warm service from Andrzej! Food was delicious as always, but I remeber their signature chilli paste used to be more spicy. Otherwise clean space, fast service, fair prices. Our little one loved the complimentary bento box. Thanks again!
We really like ramen. And thats why we like and visit Tonkotsu in Stratford. I recommend.
Was excited to try this for the first time to eat the Tonkotsu Ramen in itself. Service was a little slow, but staff were polite and friendly. We ordered: Gyoza (pork), Tonkotsu Ramen, Chicken Katsu curry bento (child), edamame and Kara-age. The ramen was ok, it had a deep pork broth albeit quite bland I thought. The broth was also lukewarm and not hot so the consistency had quickly changed. The chili provided is also not spicy at all, so may be worth trying to spicy version of the Tonkotsu next time. The best thing was Kara-age, it was moist and crispy without being too oily nor heavy. Would I try again? Yes, but may opt for something more with flavour.
Poor service provided by a short girl light hair colour. Very unprofessional and cant control her attitude, she shouted on me Infront of everyone.
So delicate and delicious, warming and nourishing.
Ordered the summer chilli tofu ramen and king prawn katsu curry which tasted great. Our host Maryan was lovely and super friendly to talk to and who catered to our needs. Will come back again for sure.
Lovely food great atmosphere for everyone, my greatest thanks to the service of sister maryan, flawless service
The gyoza is okay, a bit undercooked. As a Japanese person I d say the ramen was bad. They say new and improved broth but the broth is very sweet and so is the chashu. There was no flavour. Also it is very over priced for what it is. It is not worth the money at all.
Maryan was so friendly and helpful. She always greets us with a smile.
came for a friends birthday. the server decided to add the optionsl service fee which was £8.79 without asking which we had to end up paying. when it came to paying the server was very rude as my friends had some issues paying as we weren t aware they didn t take cash. we had to wait ages anytime we wanted something like water or a refresh of our drinks even though the place only had a fee people. the food was good though, very flavourful and presented amazingly. just unfortunate we had rude servers or it would have been lovely.
Update 5 August 24. I see no point in contacting the restaurant, as theyve asked in their reply. My review was fair and intended to inform the public if the experience I had. The discussion will take place in the public space. 7 June 24. Trying to review this as fairly as possible but I wasnt that impressed. A bit meh really. Staff friendly; no issues there, but its a restaurant so the focus is on food. Had some shitake gy zas. Very good. Good texture and flavour. But it ended there. Had some edamame beans, where sea salt had been sprinkled as if from the other side of the room and missed. Just a few random flakes here and there. All they had to do was the most basic marinade to put flavour into the pods. Then had a chilli chicken ramen. No sign of any chilli flavor at all. The noodles were cheap, way too long to be eaten without a fork - and even then very difficult and devoid of flavour, like the rest of the ramen. A bit of flavour in the broth and noodles that werent cheap and had a pleasant texture would have made all the difference. If youre going to sell people food, put some love and flavour into it.
We had a lovely dinner it was delicious and the staff was friendly We will come back again soon x
Took my daughter to work and as a treat I thought I would check the restaurant out as its near work. The staff were not welcoming and you got the impression they didnt want to be there. Our gyoza and wings were lovely. My daughter ramen was OK but my katsu chicken curry was disappointing. The chicken looked picked. When I ask for the discretionary tip to be taken off the revised bill was thrown on the table. Not sure if its related but once I left the restaurant I threw up and had a terrible tummy. The table and leather sofa/bench was sticky.
Wouldn t recommend - ramen bowl made out of a ramen machine in San Francisco (in Aloft SFO airport there does have one) taste even better than this. I was expecting too much . If you don t believe it, at least try the San Francisco one. And the staff are not friendly . They watch you creepily when you are eating
Decent ramen for a chain. Good choice of vegetarian options, too (the mushroom ramen and soya ramen are tasty). Large portions as well. Really friendly service.
Yesterday, I had a pleasure to eat a lovely ramen. I highly recommend the restaurant, I received a warm welcome in specific from Salvatore. Thanks
This restaurant had really nice food.special mentions to Ahmed for good service
Perfect. No skimping on protein which is hard to find these days
First time having Tonkotsu Ramen and I would say it was really nice and the service was on point.
Waiter not serving my order Food taste not authentic Food
Pleasantly surprised by this ramen joint. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and my boyfriend got the tokyo ramen. The tonkotsu ramen was great! Wonderfully creamy broth yet it didnt leave me feeling parched. Noodles were cooked just right.
Came for a quick bite and catch up but it was the Euro England game so very busy and service a little slow. I loved the vegan options and the mushroom raman was very good. I will be back to try the Katsu. Dietary restrictions: The vegan options were very nice.
The food is absolutely amazing! I had the Summer Ramen Chicken Teriyaki and my son had the Tonkotsu Ramen and the Gyoza. Weve eaten Japanese before, but this was the best meal of all! Very nice service is also added. Absolutely recommended!
I went there looking forward to hangovers, but as soon as I took my first bite, I couldnt believe what it tasted like.. Im sorry to the owner, but Im Asian and it was the worst ramen Ive ever had. It was really salty and I dont know what it tasted like.. It tasted like salty soybean paste ramen.
Dumplings rock !!
Nice noodles! Very Tasty!
IGOR provided some of the best customer service we have experienced. Absolutely spectacular!! Super understanding of our dietary requirements and was extremely helpful throughout the visit. Deserves a pay rise
Igor presented exceptional customer service, he carried the service for the whole restaurant. Very catering to our dietary requirements and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Definitely deserves some recognition by senior management.
Went this on Saturday Lunch, walk in to the door, not friendly staff, after got sit in waiting for so long and no staff willing to come to take the order till the table next to us trying to pay, when I come back from bathroom, a customer tho I am the staff and trying to ask me to take their order. Service definitely need to improve, as I didn t see any services at all. A bowl even drop behind me with hot soup in it , and no staff came and check with us , I doubt their health and safety even up to standard
Incredible food and superb service from the staff. A guilty pleasure of mine and they never miss when I ve visited. This is my local, however, I highly recommend visiting any of their branches across London! You won t be disappointed! Food : 5/5
METAL IN THE FOOD! We re were the first customers in at lunchtime with our kids. 30 minutes after ordering all we got were 3 gyozas. I m sat here now wondering where the rest of the order is. Avoid if you actually want to eat anything. EDIT- My daughter s food turned up with a staple or some kind of metal wire in it which she discovered when she began chewing it. To top it off our entire order never turned up.
My taste buds have never been excited so much from Japanese food in my life, it changed the way I think about life, my marriage with my wife is now restored, Ive gotten custody over my kids and 45 new promotions at my job with a 450% pay increase, all because of this experience.
Loved the food and service! Spacious and modern environment
Always good ramen.
I do you want good authentic ramen don t come here your bette to off getting super noodles. Big waste of money also they add a sneaky service charge on at the end
Lovely place to stop for a bite, away from the chaos of the food court. The food was very nice and they do a wonderful set menu! During the weekdays (until 5pm), you can get a small ramen and starter for £9.95, with options to upgrade to a large ramen and add a drink at a cost. Portions are very well priced. Their summer spritz selection is also amazing recommend both the Hugo Spritz and the Raspberry Aperol Spritz. Great, friendly, and highly professional service from our waitress. She handled my grandfather s requests very well (he often has issues reading menus and can be quite abrasive at times). Find it surprising that some reviews mention poor service as my experience couldn t have been more different! If you are in Westfield and want to have a little break, this is the place.
Went here on a very busy Saturday, just as a walk past after the stadium. Really tasty food. They were very busy and it showed a bit but the food was lovely.
Good little place, service can delay.
My daughter was keen to try this place out as she loves Ramen. It certainly met our expectations. Food was delicious and great portions. Really nice vibe at the restaurant. Slight issue with service which seemed to be down to communication between the staff, but our waiter was apologetic and reassuring. Would definitely recommend and will return.
What an incredible place for food.
We stopped here for a soft dinner, the guy who welcomed us was very friendly. Food is ok, the broth is really taste. Unfortunately one star is for the service that did not match a simple step of service. No checkback, no one asked if food was good or if we needed anything else. The waitress collected dirty plates from a table next to us. ( We finished our meal as well) We have been ignored for more than 10 mins, even the restaurant was empty, when she cleaned our table, she did not ask if we enjoyed. Service has to improve a lot, even because customers pay 12.50% of it , and Service is not just dropping plates. Service is more , more and more.
The seats are dirty and broken. The service is okay but not okay for a 12.50% service tip. The food is bad! It doesnt look just very sad but also was lukewarm and not hot. The flavour was old and thin, and the ingredients were not fresh. Its definitely nothing I can recommend! I do need to mention that after I said the food was bad (not that the waitress asked how our meal was), there was not much coming from her. The manager did, however, watch us and saw that I couldnt bring myself to swallow the food and gave us a refund! Lets hope it will get better! PS: An instant noodle soup is better...
I had a hearty bowl of chilli chicken ramen, slight criticism is that it needed to have a bigger kick, I did add some of the chilli sauce on the table to enhance it. However it was well worth a visit, and the service was top notch, no hanging around to be served.
The service at Tonkotsu Stratford is top-notch! The staff is friendly, attentive, credits to Maryan, she goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Kudos to the entire team and their delicious ramen
Fab food will go back , I had the tonkotsu ramen and it was hitting the spot . I ordered a large was to big, took it home and ate the next day and it tasted even better ! Would recommend.
Best ramen chain in London in terms of price-to-quality. I ordered the lunch set which was only 9.95 for a small ramen + side. I had the tonkotsu ramen and the pork & garlic gyoza. For the price, the ramen is quite sizeable, served generously with two large slices of roasted pork. The gyoza was also crispy and well prepared too. The restaurant was also very comfortable.
Visited for dinner this evening and everything was 10/10 from service to food. Ordered a karage and a Chili Chicken ramen which never disappoint. My waitress Cristina was very lovely and took great care of my table. Totally recommend!
Nice ambience and good good customer service
Very nice ramen chain. The Tonkotsu Ramen with extra noodles was really nice and came eith 1/2 egg and pork. The only downside was the invasively loud bad pop music that was played on the speakers. Why do restaurants think that this enhances the dining atmosphere is beyond me. People either want to talk to each other when they eat with someone or listen to something on their smartphone. STOP THE LOUD MUSIC! I am starting a campaign :)
Lovely staff, very accomodating. Even when full never feels overwhelmingly busy. Dog friendly - inside and on the patio. Always get a take away. Probably the last chain that is still good. Food is consistent
Love the food and atmosphere. It has options for kids in the menu, baby changer, it s accessible with a pram, comfy and very family friendly.
Nice location in Stratford. The service is great and you sit comfortably. But Ive had better ramen. Both in terms of quality and size.
The food at this branch was delicious. They have a set lunch menu that offers a small ramen and a small side for just £9.95. You can even add a soft drink for an additional £2, and I highly recommend trying the yuzu lemonade. Im a big fan of both the Toyko ramen and the Japanese miso mushroom ramen. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service. Vegetarian options: Theres clearly labelled vegan and vegetarian dishes. Theres a section for ramen in vegan broth. Dietary restrictions: The team can accommodate dietary needs and allergies. The team could highlights common allergens on their menus Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly. There are high chairs available, and a kids menu with had bento boxes and drink for £7.45
Marian provided amazing services!
After a frustrating day at the O2 trying to buy some sporty shorts and trying to find somewhere suitable to take my girl out to eat. We took the trip to Stratford and we everything came together beautifully. I managed to get my shorts, the under armour gear but best of all was our choice of restaurant. I personally have been to the majority of Ramen restaurants in London, Tonkotsu is definitely the best. The menu, the service and the sheer quality of the food was exceptional. Regarding the menu most Ramen menus have very little variance. However, there was variety and they have monthly specials too. I have to give a special shout out to Jarek, a knowledgeable gentleman that looked after us and gave great advice and even through in some scotch bonnet to make ramen dish have extra spices and full flavour. In summary it was a truly wonderful experience and we will definately come back. Sooner rather than later ;-) thank you for having us.
Delicious and filling
The chicken karage is good but the ramen is not the best, they are quite salty and lack flavour. But the service was excellent!
food was a tad bit salty but amazing service!
I come here often. I usually get the chilli chicken ramen. I love their half-boiled eggs. Some of the options are fully halal, so it s one of the few restaurants that I can come to that are not North African. Service is relatively quick and the food is fresh and satisfying. My go to. Dietary restrictions: Halal
Great food and service. Very humble staff and good ambience. Chicken karage was exceptional, juicy and tender on the inside, crisp on the outside and mayo was only 75p extra. Value for money.
Very good food and fast service
Was rlly considerate of my allergies :)
The food was good, quite salty. Server was helpful and double checked about a food allergy. Good service all round.
Great experience and the workers were welcoming. Food was good but a bit salty
Showed concern for my allergies
Served by Ahmed who was very helpful and food was very nice
Great food and service. Very good price and nice setting
Delicious food, timely and quality service from Ahmed. Great ambience and locale. Would absolutely recommend
Fabulous ambience with mouth watering authentic Japanese food. Great service by Sufail. Loved the experience, much recommended
Had a great experience at Tonkotsu, the food was splendid and flavourful and the service was 10/10 Sufail was very attentive and great!
Overall experience was good.Food was delicious and Sufail s service was on point.
Love Tonkotsu
A staple regarding ramen. Has never disappointed us and have chosen it for take away several times Food
Lovely food and service, as always!
Great service. Super friendly. I recommend
Great service, great food
Customer service / staff is very good.. The food is tasty.
Went in, stood for 10mins, no one bother come and ask if I reserve a table or just walk in, I stood there for 10mins like an idiot.
Everything was good, except for cauliflower wings which was way too saucy for me.. Their chicken karaage is a must try! Food
My partner and I visited Tonkotsu for an iftar meal. The service was quick and and the food was delicious. Ordered the mushroom miso which was so good! Would definitely revisit for a casual meal again.
If you want to eat authentic ramen, please avoid this restaurant. The soft noodles are soaked in tasteless broth (specially ask for harder noodles). The long wait after ordering ( 35 mins ) is totally not worth it. Very disappointing.
We had the vegan broth, well seasoned, good portion size. Great prawn gy zas! All the staff very warm and helpful. Toilets spotless. Highly recommended if you are at the Olympic park or at the Westfield (Blade Runner) Centre.
Tried their special. Best ramen I have ever had in London.
Service and atmosphere is great, drinks too. I think the food here is hit or miss, there s no in between. But it does hit the spot when ur craving a nice ramen with good atmosphere.
Great experience! Excellent food, drinks, and especially the service (a special shoutout to Maryan she was amazing! Super fun, friendly and helpful)
My boyfriend and I came for dinner but we were told the kitchen was closing in 2 mins. Maryan kindly gave us a table and served us even though the restaurant was closing soon. The food and drinks came quickly. We both enjoyed our food. Would definitely come again. Thanks again to Maryan for giving us excellent customer service even though we were last minute customers
We enjoyed our visit here. The lunch set menu is a good deal and service was great. The ramen and the new pickle side dish were excellent. The pork was divinely delicious. The only minor thing was that the kids salad area in the bento box was a little bare. Other than that everything else was great, we will come again.
Service told us the food is halal but then also the sauce is not halal. I.e the chicken katsu curry - the chicken is halal but the sauce is not. So you have to have dry rice and chicken by itself but have an option of not aging a sauce? The halal sticker advertised outside the window is quite misleading.
The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was lovely and the staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend if youre craving ramen. The pork gyozas were also amazing!
Thank you sangit rai for your wonderfull service and good hospitality manner I will be visiting soon
Halal chicken mixed with alcohol means it s not halal.
Thank you Sangit for giving a good hospitality manner so I had a good experience at tonkotsu
Excellent ambience, very chilled and good quality food. All dishes were served to perfect temperature. Very friendly and attentive staff. Recommend. Update 22/02/24 - food excellent as last time.
Thank you Sangit providing good service and hospitality maner and tonkostu have one of best ramen in London I highly recommend to try ramen at tonkostu stratford.
I had a good experience at tonkotsu good service and good ramen thank you sangit providing good service and entire team of tonkostu.
I visited group of three people and provide a good service in tonkotsu by sangit and entire team of tonkotsu good ramen good service I highly recommend you all go and visit tonkotsu.
I visited the place with my partner and a friend. Mr. Raaj was amazing. He recommended us some ramen and sides which were amazing. Awesome service and great atmosphere. Will definitely visit this place again.
lovely staff
Love tonkotsu - enjoyed a delicious tonkotsu ramen bowl and pork gyoza. Whilst Ive scored 5/5 - defo opportunities to improve, theyd run out of beer on tap and the seats were very close together (felt like I was sitting on the other tables knees!). But the food was delicious - so it made up for it!
Ambiance and service were ok, but the food was a little tasteless, in addition to the meat being very fatty (when you bit into it, you could only feel the fat) and the pasta was heavy. We ended up leaving half the plate.
Ordered delivery, one chicken broth, one pork. Both lack of taste, or the depth of taste. The chicken one tastes basically like soya source and is super salty. The pork one, on the contrary, lack of salt. Further, the pork one tastes like instant broth power + water , which does not give any flavor of pork fat. Did you use plant based power??!! Quite surprisingly, the bamboo roots in the chicken ramen is super salty, while that in the pork one is super sweet. I wonder how that is even possible ? The half boiled egg is also super super super salty, so it turns bitter!! Please respect the egg, and have some sense in adding salt, or do not marinate the egg for too long! The portion is good. The noodle itself is ok, though nothing special compared to the ones that use better flour. We decided to drain the noodle and make source on our own. The delivery speed was quick, but it is unlikely we ll order it again.
Eat at your own risk! Worst restaurant in Stratford! Incompetent staff and ugly food. They had us wait for 30mins only to discover they did not enter our order! The next table also had their orders wrong! And they never ever ever apologized not even once for having these mistakes! Also the music is too upbeat you cant possible eat in peace. Uncomfortable seating as well.
The serving staff were really nice and made an effort to accommodate for our dietary requirements. Dietary restrictions: Eventhough the chicken is halal, most of the sauces contain alcohol. They re happy to remove the sauces, but that can really change the dish.
the food was amazing and fairly priced
Really wonderful food and service.
Ramen broth was great, had a nice atmosphere for dinner.
Really good food, i enjoyed it. Friendly staff and recommend it.
Meal is excellent and good services. Worth to try and experience Food
It was so delicious. Specifically Gyoza. Gyoza was amazing.
I found this restaurant after traveling from Stansted airport. The noodles were delicious, as they import their machines from Japan. They tasted authentic.
Worth the visit!
This is a perfect dinner place with my colleagues after playing tennis at Stratford Park! Definitely feels welcome and the service is commendable especially Sufail. Surely will get back again for more regular Friday night!
Good food, attentive staff. Shout out to Sufail!
Tasty ramen! Convenient location at Stratford
really good food and service!
Much better than another tonkotsu near soho!
good service
I usually visit this restaurant. This is one of the best Japanese Restuarent in stratford.Love their Ramen esp Tonkotsu the signature dish .Good ambience.Must visit .
It was my first time coming to tonkotsu and to be honest it was an amazing experience from the food to the customer service everything was on point. A special thanks to sufail for explaining the menu in detail as it was my first time. Great job team tonkotsu. Will definitely visit again.
What an amazing experience. Kudos to the team for an excellent customer service
Our server Sufial was awesome..
Great service from Sufail and Luca good food as well. Highly recommend the chilly tofu ramen thingy.
Great place and food!
Amazing service and great food
Food was really amazing also the environment and the service good as well I m happy with the food , so I guess I can suggest this place to my colleagues/family/friends for a nice appetite.
The chilli tofu ramen is delicious & the service is always on point - staff are super friendly, couldn t do more for you :) Good selection of vegan options The restaurant always looks v clean and tidy and has a welcoming atmosphere
The Tonkatsu ramen was great, and the service was amazing!
Food was good but service is extremely slow in terms of ramen coming. We did get our starters quickly but waited over 30mins for ramen. I think the server said he done a mistake on the system. We were given an apology very very late and discounted but just realised they still put service charge on the bill! Disappointed.
Great food and service, came with kids and for a birthday and staff were so patient and gave us a complimentary birthday dessert too
Ramen was really good
great beer
Amazing food, really loved the tiger prawn ramen! Good service, nice chill vibe. I highly recommend!
PERFECT!!!
One of the best ramen places in London with excellent favoured pork broth. Would definitely recommend and it is a short walk from Westfield. Food : 4/5
Fantastic authentic food, very impressed with the service and really great staff
Very nice place, good service and great staff. Vegan ramens are very flavourful
Nice place a short walk put of the Stratford. The food didnt bowl us over, but it was tasty. The only issue was the wait; over 45 minutes for first serving. Good choice if you want something different and dont mind waiting a little in a nice environment. The prices were pretty decent, too. Ill probably be back.
Good
Cramped seating, you can literally reach and grab the next tables food. Starters never came with extra plates and no tissues. Noodles were near tasteless. Difficult to get the staffs attention. Just a one time visit.
Ahmed service was good really enjoyed it. The food was a bit meh. Would recommend the king prawn katsu
ahmeds s service was so hospitable nd food was great will recommend
The staff were all really accommodating and friendly, Ahmed was great! The food was amazing, such a good ramen - you will not be disappointed! Food : 5/5
Great food and service!!! Ahmed makes great cocktails!!!!
Excellent venue for lunch in Stratford. My 11yo daughter absolutely loved her ramen lunch box. And I absolutely loved that her meal was free thanks to my selection. Food and service were equally impressive. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: 1x free kids lunch meal (£6.95) with adult meal.
Really enjoyed the meal, great service from Sufail and Maria :)
Amazing food and lovely atmosphere! Sufail was a great host and Mariana makes the best drinks!
Had a really nice Chilli chicken ramen here which I highly recommend. I wanted it spicy and was offered some scotch bonnet mash on the side to elevate it. The service was fast and everyone was just lovely.
Great food, great service, highly recommend:))
Great service considering we arrived near closing time. Food and tea was delicious. Will be coming back!
If youre looking for something cheap, cheerful and youre in the Stratford area come to this restaurant. The staff are lovely and attentive and the food is lovely. I had chicken wings, chicken katsu curry and ice-cream for dessert. Im sure whatever you eat, you will not be disappointed. Food
