Context Staying at the Gantry. Breakfast included in Hilton Honors membership as a Diamond member. Positives Good selection of English and continental breakfast. Eggs made to order - friendly lady who manages the egg station made fantastic poached eggs. Actual restaurant staff were very attentive and make sure everything is ok during your meal and whether you require anything extra you could not find. Sadek was especially helpful in this regard. Calm quiet space. Plenty of lighting and a range of different seating options (as long as you make it clear and choose them yourself). Areas for Improvement Initially seated by bar staff who first had to confirm my stay at the hotel. Was not offered an option of where to sit until I asked not to be placed on the furthest table away. Chose another table before being told it was “reserved” despite no one sitting at the table even by the end of service. Eventually seated at the next available table along.
probably one of the best homemade flatbread in London! other dishes were also alright, but when I was there on weekday lunchtime not many choices. anyways enjoyed very calm moments with my friend.
Very nice place for brunch near Stratford International. It's just a shame they don't serve pancakes or some other brunch food, but the Eggs Benedict and pasta were very good.
Popped in for a drink while waiting for my friend. Ended up having a light dinner. The place was nice, clean, not crowded. (If I could write a review on customers I’d do that, but unfortunately it’s not possible…). Even though I wasn’t greeted by anyone for a few moments I’m happy with the service (which could have been just a little bit faster but I get it, it was late night). The food was delicious. The service is good. The atmosphere is okay(wasn’t great because of a few customers but what can you do). Id recommend to visit this place.
We stopped for an early dinner at Union Social in The Gantry London Curio by Hilton. We were off to see a show at the London O2 Arena, so we thought we would eat at the hotel rather than settle for an expensive hot dog! The restaurant has a nice ambience, and although we were the first people there, it soon got busier. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and were attentive throughout the meal. The food we had was fabulous, and we really enjoyed the Daube of Beef and our Chocolate Cheesecake to finish. As far as prices go, I would say it’s very fairly priced for the quality, and I would certainly come back again – both to the hotel and the restaurant.
REASON FOR 2 STARS: I’m staying at the hotel it’s located in and I’ve spent over £300 here. I asked them to heat some food I bought elsewhere and I was told they can’t do it. UPDATE: went for breakfast and it’s good UPDATE: went back again for lunch and this time the Gantry Burgster was even better. This mint mojito taste like a virgin but it does creep up on you. The day staff is a little more on point than the night staff. For that reason I’m changing my three stars to four. I mean my drink was significantly better today and I can taste the alcohol versus my first time here. It’s inside of a hotel. Cute little place & nice. DRINKS were totally watered down, I had the pomegranate vodka, I could barely taste the vodka. FOOD and desert were both tasty and well done. I had the Gantry Burgster and the macadamia semifreddo. STAFF, male staff was inattentive women staff are on point. VERY CLEAN Would I be back; only if I’m hungry and in the hotel.
Nice restaurant in new hotel The Gantry. With panoramic views and a beautiful terrace that includes a fireplace for chilly evenings. The restaurant is conveniently opposite a sparkling wine bar. It's also a suitable space for working during the day. Across the road from Westfield shopping center and welcomes day visitors as well as hotel guests. I enjoyed food from the new menu. Delicious starters. My main, which was just ok. Delicious dessert and tasty cocktails. With excellent service throughout our stay. All dishes and drinks beautifully presented. I'd definitely go back.
The food was delicious especially the paneer. The service was a bid off, like we sat and nobody brought us the menu. It looks like nobody knew what they were doing apart from the person who looked like the manager. I know the place is new but maybe a bit of training for the staff would be nice.

Been there for breakfast on a rainy day , the environment was nice , the selection of buffet was limited though , with limited choice for Halal and Vegan options. The overall service was good.
First of all, Id like to say the service at this place is quite bad when I got in I sat down and waited to order or for somebody to at least bring me a menu, unfortunately, the person who was serving me that they sat I believe it might be his first day Im not sure bus too busy talking to the person at the bar eventually we ordered a couple of burgers I was not asked how I would like those burgers cooked it came to me medium which is a little bit under for me however I eat it anyway later on self came back and ask how was the food unfortunately had food in my mouth Anderson answer he didnt wait for an answer and just walked off.

Work stay, but a very convenient location and well looked after by the staff .... particularly SADEK in the breakfast room
The service is great and the people working there are truly wonderful and pay close attention to you. However, the music is rather loud to have a decent conversation and it is super expensive - even with the area considered. It would be good if the bar had some very on draught but I guess its an upmarket place. The toilets and facilities are clean and well maintained
I had a really nice brunch at a window table overlooking the terrace. Perfectly cooked Eggs Royale, good coffee and lovely service. It hasnt been crowded or noisy when Ive visited, so Id say it would be a good spot for a meeting or after work drink. Also theres an Italian deli downstairs - handy!

Lovely interior design, fancy looking. Fantastic food, drinks and service. Nothing to complain about, will be back often, especially as it s on my front door Update: had to drop to 3 stars as the service has deteriorated since they ve opened. The drinks take forever to turn up and ordering more drinks takes just as long (as the staff don t seem very proactive at all). Felt like they didn t want my money
Excellent service and food selection from The Union Social. We went for our breakfast and were very welcomed by Frederica, the team made us feel supercomfortable, food was fresh and delicious. 100% youll want to come back.
First time staying in the hotel and visiting the breakfast facilities. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Food was delicious, great selection of hot food, pastries, fruit and dessert. Space was very clean and beautifully decorated. Would definitely come back!

Really nice venue. We came here for some birthday drinks with a few friends. We sat outside on the great terrace and they lit the firepit for us - theres even a swing seat! Food and drink really good and reasonably priced, staff couldnt have done enough for us. Definitely will be back here again soon. They even brought us a birthday cake as we were celebrating! Had a very pleasant evening meal here with my wife. Food was good just above average price for East London location but not a surprise given it was part of the Gantry Hotel. Really cool atmosphere and lovely balcony setting overseeing the Olympic Village. Service was great and wed definitely go back. Highly recommended!
Came here for New Year s Eve (also my wife s birthday) and had a great experience! Everything was top notch - the food, service, restaurant interior and outdoor balcony were all very impressive. Highly recommend!
Small but varied and tasty menu, really nice decor and excellent service. We had a really good experience! The terrace looks great too, was a bit cold when we were there but will be fantastic in the summer
It s the second time we have lunch at Union Social and we couldn t recommend it more. The food is tasty, the cocktails are excellent and there s a good selection of wine. The staff is the most helpful and friendly at all times.
We went twice for lunch and the meal were perfect for both of us each time. We can see the chiefs working from our table. Beef, vegetables, all was cooked the way we like in France. I don t understand the complain on ingredients. Or is it because other reviews are used to the English ways? The room is confortable and sunny, Staff was caring for us and never left us wait. They even recognised us the next time. I can t wait to be on the terrasse in spring. It s ideally oriented for the sun and protected from the wind. We ordered Cocktails the first time and wine the second time. Both a nice surprise and well above the average experience we had in London so far. Definitely a good addition to the area for a relaxing healthy meal.

Very disappointed with our evening meal. Curry seemed to be out of a tin and service poor. Waiter was trying scrape the serving serviette from the bowl with his finger! Tried to order dessert but only two available at 8pm on a Saturday night.

The food was really delicious and well presented. Nice atmosphere as well, it was only let down by the slow service. Hopefully it will improve with more visitors to the restaurant.

Great spot to do work, eat or have drinks. Was unable to revisit and show friends & family as no parking available nearby until after 9pm.
Booked this place for a pre Abba show. Mistakenly booked a table of 4 instead 5 but staff dealt with it well( luckily two thirds empty at 5pm) unfortunately was down hill from there. Seated away from the rest of the tables so felt like we were ignored all night, underneath cold aircon(in Dec?) which we were informed couldnt be turned off so half of us sat with coats for the duration. Took cocktail orders first(these were great) ordered main courses only, 6 choices on the menu. 5 of us ordered burgers, waitress returned sorry, no burgers. Would have been nice to know that when we sat down, not hard when there are only 6 mains on the menu. Odd as it was only 5pm but no further explanation was offered. Changed our orders, sat for 15 mins with empy drinks, manager then took over as it was clear when we has to get up to the bar to order drinks that we had been forgotten about. Food was very good, rosemary and salt chips on the side were just just chips but forgetting that is forgivable I suppose. Asked for the bill, they certainly werent slow offering that and taking payment (would have loved that service from the beginning). All in all disappointing visit with uninterested and blunt staff which for a mainly empty restaurant was bizarre.
A seductively slick restaurant and bar located on the first floor of The Gantry hotel. It has a cosy outdoor terrace. The food is good and the customer service excellent.
