stratford westfield is more than a symbol of east london’s reinvention! the mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, the cafes, the restaurants, the entertainment, the boulevards, the public art – it’s all designed to make the time you spend here richer than your usual shopping trip. so after a hard day of shopping why not meet at wagamama westfield stratford. sit back, relax and tuck into some delicious noodles
Amazing restaurant friendly staff we're very pleased with the service. The food was amazing the pork bun is so tasty the best we had. Highly recommended.
Saturday lunch at wagamama in Stratford mall ! The staff looked tired and lacked enthusiasm from the time we stepped in queue waiting to be seated. All the staff were busy running around but none of them seemed to make eye contact and none had a smile on their face. They looked overworked and stressed. We were led to the booth inside the restaurant and given menus to go through. Once we made up our minds, it took a lot of looking around to find someone who would make eye contact so that they could come to our table to take the order. Finally, Ms Mariamma, saw us waiting and took our orders. She repeated the order to make sure she got it all correct and then proceeded to mark our table mats with the numbers of our main course. The food was cooked well, upto what we would think wagamama standards. But when they got us our drinks, one of the servers had his sleeve dipped into the drink on the table and he then scurried off with that wet sleeve to another table. This was quite a put down. I also noticed that most had the dark green Tshirts; some were half sleeves while some full sleeved. Unfortunately, we were one of those to have our drinks tainted with the sleeves of the person that served us. We then wanted to get the drink replaced, which again took quite sometime to get the attention of many of the staff running around the restaurant. Finally, a gentleman who was speaking to the table in front of us, saw us and o explained the issue. He too seemed shocked, apologized and then proceeded to get us a fresh new drink. This incident did thwart our appetite, but we did finish most of our lunch orders. I would like to ask the management to work with their staff to improve the serving conditions and general service attitude.
DON’T COME HERE. You will end up dissatisfied with the food quality compared to other places of wagamama. Food took over 45mins to arrive, Ramen soups were more bland and the noodles was overcooked and stick together..
I am upset and disgusted My friends ordered me a vegan meal to bring home for me as I am unwell. It states on our receipt VG yasai yaki soba. However as I was eating into a bit of it I noticed a shrimp and that I was infact eating a piece of chicken. As a vegetarian for the past three years I am appalled and think this is incredibly unacceptable. After calling we were told to email with a picture of the food and receipt for a refund, but apart from that there's nothing they can do . Unless I order again on deliveroo, but why would I do that so they give me the completely the wrong thing again. I am expecting more than a refund from this.
I recently visited Wagamama at Westfield Stratford, and while the experience was okay, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The food was decent, but some dishes felt slightly on the dry side, which took away from the usual bold flavors I expect from Wagamama. Customer service was also okay but felt a bit lacking. While the staff were polite, the attentiveness and engagement I usually experience at other locations seemed to be missing, leaving the overall atmosphere feeling somewhat flat. Overall, an okay visit, but there's definitely room for improvement in both the food and service.
Decent restaurant and food was on par with what we expect from the brand. Prices were reasonable and not overly busy during late Saturday night when we visited. Will go back when in area, customer service was very good also, with staff members being patient understanding towards us and our questions we had about the menu.
Pretty average meal. Haven't been to a Wagamamas for many years. I haven't missed it. Price wise was fine, wasn't overly busy considering we were at Westfield. Food didn't have much flavour to it. Won't be coming back in a rush.
This is the go to place for my autistic teen daughter. They always give her priority seat and accommodate her even at rush hours. Food quality is amazing and consistent. Our favourite is fire cracker.
Had to flag down a waiter to order, again to chase up order that never arrived, and unable to split bill using qr code to pay. Wont be returning
Food was good, and of the standard expected of a Wagamamas. However, what ruined this visit was the atrociously poor level of service. I understand that the restaurant is busy, but the waits on clearing tables, taking orders, seeing food left on the side for long periods were all very poor. Seeing desserts melting left on the side leaves both a poorly treated customer, and an incredibly poor impression. Staff walking past, chatting over it, laughing and joking whilst numerous customers waiting for the food that is out for service. Very poor. Would recommend going to any of the other choices available in Westfield.
Its a wagamama. Most of you will be familiar with this chain. Decent Asian (mainly Japanese, Korean and Malaysian) food at 4 star quality. A good one cuisine restaurant will have better food. Having said that, Wagamama ist consistent and really not bad. This particular Wagamama is actually one if the nicest I have visited. The service was great!
Lovely experience, my chosen spot to go to after a long day of shopping! Special thank you to Nicole!
First time eating here. Food is decent and their Katsu curry was a bit different than usual. More gingery I think. I really enjoyed their mocktails and appreciate. My female server was fantastic, she provided info on what things were halal and she was smiley and friendly. Overall, I do think it is too dear though.
Food was extremely underwhelming, small portions, and expensive prices in contrast to the portion size. Service was minimal, also didn t clean the tables and left chilli oil over the table, in which stained my hoodie that I was wearing. Just an overall terrible experience and will never go back. Kokoro is ten times the place this is.
If you like very busy environment, then it for u
Dietary restrictions: Very attentive and knowledgeable when it comes to catering to restrictions Food
We came and got served by Jay. He was very friendly and helped us in explaining how the wagamama app works. For great experience you need got employees as well its not just the food and this guy has it. It was great
Mahima from Stratford was so nice !! So lovely and great service
Very disappointed with the service given by one of the supervisors Gabby, usually Wagamama strives to deliver great service. She was very rude, dismissive and unprofessional.
Very delicious. Not normally a noodles fan but definitely enjoyed it. Special thanks to Sudeep for the help in ordering :)
Had a lovely experience. We had a minor issue with our food which the staff kindly sorted out. Special thanks to Cesise, she was amazing throughout. She helped us pick our meals and provided great service.
The service was excellent! Azmira was attentive and went above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. Its a great place to have dinner after some shopping.
Poor service, bad food and a filthy restaurant.
Sadly not a great experiance, ordered katsu chicken and Miso soup, was led to my table by a miserable looking woman the server was friendly and polite however. Katsu was lukewarm and flavourless and the miso soup didnt arrive until about 5 mins after I finished despite being a New recipie it tasted like it was really watered down. Atmosphere was the standard soulness vibe you expect from a chain and the bench seats are horribly uncomfortable Sadly overall a dissapointment
I had the pleasure of dining at Wagamama Stratford recently, and I wanted to take a moment to commend Mariyama for her exceptional service. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on she suggested dishes that perfectly matched our preferences, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Mariyama s friendly demeanor and genuine care for our dining experience truly made our visit special. Thank you, Mariyama, for going above and beyond. We ll definitely be back, and we hope to see you again!
Really appreciate service of Ion who was really helpful and provided the best advice!
Kept waiting at the entrance to be seated trying to catch the eye of a member of staff none of whom were rushed off their feet. Table service was inattentive and surly, waiting staff mumbled and offered no eye contact. Food was lukewarm and overpriced. Wifes main arrived after Id finished mine. Pad Thai, katsu curry, starter and one drink almost £50. Poor value for money Thankfully I paid by app so we could leave without being asked to tip. Never again.
Only had sides, very nice, we had 5 sides but maybe 4 would have done us.
For the attention of restaurant manager. I would like to applaud Kadir for the amazing service I had received from him. He was kind, polite and very welcoming. Thank you Kadir
Food doesn t taste good
Nicole was attentive, Emma the manager went over my food allergies , Mahima was sweet
Terrible service, half of our order was mixed up and we waited a very long time for our food. I wont eat here again
To begin with we were 2 people and we were sat at a table of 6 where a single person already was making it incredibly awkward. And to add to this our seats had no backing and were just a stool and incredibly uncomfortable. When the polite server took our order we informed them my gf had a peanut allergy so they told us that their head kitchen staff would cook all our food to ensure no peanuts were in our food which we appreciated. Fast forward 40 mins later tables of 8 are being sat down and our backs begin hurting from not leaning back so we ask to move seats and they accommodate this request which was nice. Then another 20 minutes later of waiting for food we see that same table of 8 get their food before ours so thats when we ask and they say that our order has been mixed up with someone else and they will start making ours again and it should be ready soon. When the food finally arrived 1 hour later it was severely mid, the chicken broth had flavour but somehow the noodles, despite being submerged, lacked any sort of flavour. So we waited over an hour for really tasteless ramen and we were severely disappointed. Will not be revisiting.
Excellent, helpful staff and, as ever, wonderfully tasty food.
Stratford Westfield Wagamama is great me the food cooked to perfection also me and my partner was really impressed by the five star service we received from Malik nothing was to much to ask from him really helpful he deserves a pay rise.
Very bad service and too busy
We had the pleasure of being served by Mariama, and her service truly made the dining experience exceptional. She was warm, attentive, and always had a smile, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. In addition to great food options.
We had lovely food and excellent service by Asha. Highly recommended Food
Terrible, the team members there need some improvements in social skills. They never do check backs with their customers and always standing around. It s absolutely disorganised and unwelcoming.
The noodles in my ramen were incredibly overcooked and soggy and it just ruined the overall taste of the ramen. Would not recommend coming here for the food.
Lively and busy. Great service, and there is no need to book a table.
The food was okay. Had to wait for the mains. Service could be better
I would not recommend going to this specific place. The katsu chickens rice is completely sticky, which traditional katsu rice isnt. And,the meat is low quality on the dishes we ordered. If I were you,I would take notes from high quality/traditional japanese/Asian restaurants and try to replicate it as much as possible.Thank you for reading this message.
Never had experience such a bad service from Wagamama Westfield.. We had to find someone to take our orders, then waited 30 minutes to be served only to get the wrong order, waited an another 25 minutes and was the last to eat as everyone had finished eating!!!!! What is happening honestly
A rather mediocre experience, the lychee mocktail being the highlight. Portions were small for the price. However, the pulled duck boa buns were tasty
Love the food, amazing but the reasoning for one star ordered a TA came back and no chopsticks didn t even check when they gave my food, I will return for the food but no cutlery or chopsticks
Elizabeth served us on a bank holiday, She was extremely helpful and attentive. She went out of her way to make ua have a good time.
The food is really nice, however the service has been extremely bad. This is our third time here in westfield Wagamama, and it s get worse each time. The servers are very rude, we waited for over 30 min for coke, beer and water. Called 4 people to take our order because everyone kept on delaying. Asked for water, but a guy just simply refused to help. Won t recommend this branch because of the service.
One of the worst services possible at a restaurant. You can ask the restaurant staff again and again, still not get it.
Dull staff and poor service!! Not at all welcoming.
I came here the other day and had one of the best katsu chickens was so delicious and served with a smile. my server was sean he was fantastic so helpful. will definitely be returning.
The staff are there for a good time and not to actually pay attention to there customers. They wonder about aimlessly when people are trying to get an order in. Food takes forever to come out and steaks are often well don t when specially asked to be medium rare. I don t know who manages this store but they really need to better train and hire individuals who understand customer service.
Painfully slow service. It took over 25 minutes after seating for someone to take our drink order (after we called someone over) Once the food had eventually been ordered it took over 40 minutes to arrive, and I didnt get my main until long after the others in the party received and finished both their mains and starters. Food was delicious when it eventually came out though and the restaurant was clean. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options
The reasoning for my review is because I received outstanding service from Nicole. She was very sweet and constantly checking in on our table. I will say there was a hiccup in the system and our food wasn t put through from another member of staff but Nicole was quick to rectify the situation and we got our food and drinks in minutes. She was very professional about the situation and made me and my brother feel comfortable.
Came in as a table of two with my brother for an early dinner. We were welcomed at the door by Nicole who then continued to look after us during out entire stay. Nicole took the time to ask us about our allergies (which we did not have but was amazing that she checker!!). She than took her time to ask what drinks we would like and gave us a good amount of time to look at the menu to decide on food without being left for to long before ordering. She was attentive and friendly throughout and made an incredible atmosphere for us both. A big thank you from Raine and Jimmy at table 425. The food was incredible (soba steak teriyaki, shiitake koyo bowl).
Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere. Asian fusion; a little expensive (expect £10 for a main dish) but its high quality. The shopping centre around this restaurant is accessible, though the restaurant itself has fixed seating (benches without a backrest or basic booths with backrests) and no easy way to stash mobility aids out of the way while eating. There was no seating available while waiting to be seated, and the wait here can get fairly long during peak times. This restaurant serves alcohol and spicy foods. Menus are marked to show vegetarian and vegan options. Spicy dishes are marked in their descriptions (eg: with chilli flakes). Staff are happy to adjust food to remove or swap ingredients, but with the busy nature of the kitchen its possible something will be missed. Food is brought out as it is ready, so group dining might feel a bit awkward. Payment is preferably done by scanning a QR code with a phone and paying on their website, though they are happy to bring you a card machine. The staff are friendly and charismatic. Vegetarian options: This restaurant has dedicated vegetarian and vegan options, including dishes that are purely vegetarian/vegan, and dishes with meat alternatives. You may also be able to ask for a modification to change or remove meat or eggs from a dish. Dietary restrictions: The menus are descriptive on what a dish will contain. Staff are happy to cater to dish modifications, though cross-contamination or order confusion is likely due to how wagamama kitchens operate. Wheelchair accessibility: Fixed seating with no dedicated wheelchair spaces from what I saw - you will need to transfer to dine in. Not a lot of room to turn around. I dont know if they have accessible bathrooms here.
Seated and waited 25 minutes without anyone taking our order. Had to ask for someone to take our order to then be forgotten about again. Didn t even notice us get up and leave, poor service.
We were sat down straight away and then left alone for 25+ mins. I asked a lady how to order via the QR code because the table number was not recognised. She was really rude back so we just left.
I always like the yaki udon! And ginger no-jito. But felt like something missing in the ufon, compared to my previous experiences. Service was fine up till we received our food on the table. But to pay the bill we had to wait very long to draw the attention of one of the staff. I appreciate the staff was very busy. It was a weekday in the Westfield - Stafford yet it was very busy. Parking: Westfield shopping center parking
The firecracker dish is banging. Sweet, savoury with a fiery kick. Davilah was really friend yet professional and helpful. Food : 5/5
Love steak teriyaki soba and Pad thai sour
Every time I came here when we were seated it took long. After the long waiting hours the servers were taking a long time to get to our table. We waited over 30 minutes to get served. When we finally do get the food usually they miss some things we ordered.
Today, I visited Wagamama, one of my favorite places to eat, but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my experience. Majority of the female staff seemed disengaged, offering little to no eye contact when taking my order. Their attitude came across as unapproachable, almost as if they were inconvenienced by my presence. I hope the management can address this issue, as it impacts the overall dining experience. Wagamama has always been a great place to dine, and I believe improving customer service will help maintain its excellent reputation.
Customer service is non existent. Staff are so miserable. No one greeted us, or checked on us. No one noticed we left or said goodbye! Our waiter looked like he had been slapped by a wet fish. Its a like an assembly line here. Order. Eat. Pay and get out. My mojito was £6...I kid you not, it was budget can of lemonade with a slice of lemon thrown in. No taste what so ever and very bitter. Ordered prawn dish... there was 7 prawns which I counted ( prawn fire cracker). I will not be going here again! Too much hype.
Staff absolutely careless
I placed an order at Wagamama Stratford through Deliveroo and paid for two vegetarian dishes: one of them contained chicken, which I ate without realising. As I have been a vegetarian for over 25 years, I now feel extremely sick. I called the restaurant and was dismissed by staff. I will never eat their food again, and I am likely to spend the night being sick. People with food allergies and intolerances should be really careful with Wagamama. Legend has it Wagamama food is overpriced and comes in small portions. I was prepared for that, not the big chunks of chicken in my vegetarian dish. And the response from staff was simply appalling. I do not write negative reviews, but tonight I am feeling too sick to let this one go.
Overal quite a decent experience. Food came in very good time but we did have to ask repeatedly for stuff like water. Despite this our water was quite polite and although he was a tad forgetful he kindly ensured he got our food orders exactly right. The food was also very nice and I dont really have much to complain about here. The facilities were also plentiful as there were many bathrooms. And i know this doesnt apply to the restaurant but the people eating there were very nice
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION NICOLE, the best, the food was delicious, I felt at home, I will definitely come back.
Thanks Nicole for your service today she was very kind and smiling definitely coming back
I really love Wagamama food but this last two times i am really disappointed from you service one of your employees give me bad argument about the drink cup that the can t give the drink in cocktails cups.. and at the end she didn t answer me as well so rude behaviour of your employee..
always love a good wags. today we had the best waiter ever, she was very accommodating and helped us decide new drinks and food to try. had a cheeky giggle. love them. manifa (sorry if it s spelt wrong) was great thanks for the amazing service!
Can always trust Waga for a great meal
Had a really nice time. Service was very good. Thank you Mariama and Wakery for your service.
I Regret visiting this restaurant staff over there were soo rude i agree we went in closing time we went at 9:20, at 10:30 they close completely but we are eating and the waitress told us to leave the food and leave coz its 10:30 and we requested her that my friend is still eating please give us 5 more minutes and they rudely rejected our request this is sooooooooooo bad im never gona visit this kind of rude restaurants.
My favourite Wagamama the staff are so lovely and helpful not matter how busy they are. I m autistic and suffer from social anxiety and they were so accommodating and didn t make me feel any different. The food was great and a lovely atmosphere. Really really like the staff !
Lack-luster experience. Despite lots of staff and the restaurant being only half full service was inattentive. There were no chopsticks at our table setting, and when cutlery was brought it was unclean. My water glass also had traces of food baked onto it; clearly their dishwasher needs some maintenance. No one came to check on our satisfaction during our meal, which was frustrating as one our sides took half an hour to deliver, arriving when we were done with the meal and asking for the bill. The excuse of things come when they are ready and are cooked fresh is good and all, but if you cant stir-fry some cauliflower within the time it takes one to prepare, cook, serve and eat a main course then perhaps you should reconsider offering it? On top of this the restaurant music was over-loud and the song choice was definitely not to my tastes - just generally a disappointing experience. The food we received was of a reasonable quality, but £19 for stir-fried noodles with maybe 100g of crispy duck on it feels a bit steep, especially with all the other issues.
I dont usually write poor reviews but this was genuinely poor service. We were sat pretty quickly and ordered drinks but still needed time to decide what to eat which was the first mistake as it took around 20 minutes for anyone to come. There were many staff but they were just hanging around chatting to each other at the bar. We did not want to hassle the staff by getting up and going up to them so we tried to get their attention but to no avail. The manager looked around and noticed us waiting and sent someone over. Order was taken and food came pretty quickly and wasnt bad, though one dish was missing the egg. As we dont eat meat and that was the protein in the meal, we asked if we could have the egg added, they asked the kitchen who said it was there, we disagreed as there was genuinely no egg, so they said they were going to double check. After waiting another 10 minutes and realising nothing would happen and there was no point ruining a night over egg we just finished our food. We then waited to order dessert which reached 15 minutes before we decided lets just pay online (thankfully thats an option) and left. Pretty disappointed, hope this was a one off, but we wont be eating here again.
Delicious food, went on a night out with my other half. Top tasting food! Perfect amount of spice and great vegan options too.
Not a great experience. Despite lots of staff and the restaurant being only half full service was near non existent. Had to ask for cutlery once one dish arrived, then had to wait for the other dish. When wanting to pay, there was no table number and tried getting someone over and ended up walking to ask the host. A few staff seemed pleasant whilst walking around but the majority looked like they didnt want to be there and preferred to hide at the back. The food was decent as was the lychee sangria. Probably wont visit again.
If you love Wagamama DON T COME HERE. You will end up dissatisfied with the food quality compared to other places. Food took over 45mins to arrive, Ramen soups were more bland and the drinks were all watered down. No Cuttlery ready, no napkins ready, most of the staff had to constantly be told that we were still waiting for food 20mins in and they still haven t brought the food, even now as I leave the review one of us haven t received our order. Disappointed. This branch needs to fix up.
Food was decent. Main highlight was the service. 5 star service from Sergio, very professional very friendly. Nicole had a nice a smile I wont lie. I have to come back
The food was appalling, very disappointing. The service was as good received from Megan however I cannot express how embarrassing the food was. I will not ever be eating there again.
Thanks for Cerise last night, she provided an amazing service! Food was great as always!
It was very horrible food, staff appeared to be trying their best but it was a collective failure. I just wanted to enjoy a nice Japanese food I had been meaning to get all week. A big waste of money. I ordered a mini yasai cha han with tofu to have with my katsu curry because I like the combo of sweet and savoury, I received one with chicken, the lady who served it dropped it like she was serving her enemy. It tasted different from the ya sai cha han I ve had in the past. Everything tasted horrible I couldn t enjoy my meal.
Awful service. Waited for my food for over an hour. Kept coming up with random excuses. My sister finished her food and i still didnt get my food. Poor service and poor excuses
Was here for lunch today .Food is ok but service is disgusting. Nobody cares you when they pass from you .Asking for myborder from a waitress but took a long time come back . First starter arrive quick but second one i asked other waitor to check still took long time..finally food ts coming but so disappointed, very tiny potion . Never come back
WAGAMAMMA STRATFORD:- This was my first time in Wagamama so I ordered a firecracker but with prawn. This place isn t HMC but does have a vegan option which is a good thing. The firecracker was really spicy and filling. The vegetables was a bit too much however I really enjoyed this meal. From an Asian background , I m quite sick of rice so maybe have opted for something different. . Nevertheless I would give this place 10/10 but if you do go please watch what you order as they do sell pork, etc so be aware and make sure to read what the ingredients are.
Excellent service by the manager on duty.. The service and the food was really good.. Will definitely be back Food : 5/5
Went for dinner and it was a horrible experience. The waitress were not attentive, didnt tell us their name or what table we were on. Food came different time. I ordered the prawn firecracker and it tasted so sweet. We also ordered the noodles with salmon and it was so bland with no flavour. We asked a different waitress what type of rice they had instead she went and got us sticky rice without even asking if we wanted it. Not going their again and definitely not worth the price cost me £55
Just wanted to say thank you to the team. My son is autistic and can t be in noisy places. The manager always allows us to sit outside where he is a lot comfortable and himself.
A very good location. Delicious food, reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. Staff is really kind. I was served by Sugay - very attentive and kind guy. Definitely will come back!
So both my wife and I ordered noodles. My dish was okay, but the Chicken/Prawn Udon she ordered definitely had inadequate portions of chicken/prawn in it. This has never happened before as we regularly order this item and we love it. So upon bringing this matter to the waiter, she said she would bring some more chicken/prawn. Great. Although it took a while for this to arrive, eventually we were happy as she could finally enjoy her dinner. But in the end, we were shocked to find out weve been charged an additional £7 for the few extra pieces of chicken/prawn they served, which we thought were complementary. When I asked about this again, the waiter said theres nothing she could do with the portion sizes since these are apparently standardised for all dishes, so its not possible for that to be any different compared to other branches. So according to her, I must be lying and made this all up because the chefs simply cannot be wrong at any cost. This attitude left me speechless. We have been to a thousand Wagamamas over the last decade, and Im afraid this is the worst service we have received. To all the future customers, please eat elsewhere and save your day!
Dev was really helpful and attentive, I wanted to modify a new dish and he made it happen. And he was very polite
Been since years and is nice place food is served indifffrent time but is fresh made
Wagamama at Westfield Stratford offers a fantastic dining experience, highlighted by their Firecracker Rice and Katsu dishes (I like it very Spicy because I m Nigerian). The Firecracker Rice balances spicy heat with rich flavors, while the Katsu is crispy and juicy, served with a delicious curry sauce. Their cocktails are refreshing and expertly crafted. The service is attentive and friendly, and the modern, lively ambiance makes it perfect for any occasion.
Food was terrible, they served one of us (a couple) food that was already on the pass when we ordered. The lady serving us did not post one of the items we ordered, so obvs it took long. All the food was already cooked, they reheated the food and added garnish to then serve. £60 pounds for a terrible experience
Don t recommend we just ate here today and we ve all been Vomiting since we left the place. I ve never felt so sick in all my life. My two daughters feel very sick too. We couldn t even wait to get home and we all had diarrhoea. If I didn t feel so awful I would have gone back upstairs to make a complaint. As long as I m alive I will never step foot in that place again.
Most tasteless food in whole of europe
Staff do anything they can to avoid serving you. Poor poor service.
I am a great fan of wagamama. Had a really bad experience here both on food and service. Food
Gobsmacked how far wagsmama has fallen in menu authenticity and food quality.
Lovely service from Jessica
Customer service and quality have gone down, but the price has gone up. Shouldnt that be in reverse? Anyways, it wouldnt cost to be polite to the customer. The serving lady was clearly uninterested, and that showed up very obvious in her face. Dear lady, I understand that you may be going through some difficulties, and I really wish you well, but you could have at least smiled at us or tried to do a better job. Honestly, the food is not worth the price they charge, and the environment was strictly average. Hope this gets addressed and the place lives upto the brands standards.
Firstly the new food menu is absolutely mouth watering, Tongue tingling, Loved the food from starters to mains. Fantastic service by a young girl named Mariama. Bright, bubble energy which definitely bought up the atmosphere. Great evening spent at the Stratford branch, Thank you for your service :)
Ordinarily I really enjoy Wagamama s. Unfortunately Stratford Westfield is the worst of the worst Wagamamas. Food arrived cold twice and the service was appalling, which was a surprising given the restaurant was almost empty. I would fully recommend avoiding this branch.
Dined in around 10pm on Sunday, so it was quiet and food was served quickly. Both service and food were as good as they usually are across the Wagamama chain.
Excellent
The food was delicious, always is, and the atmosphere of the place itself was fine- nothing unusual for a Wagamama s. However there were long waits between my food and the people I was with and so they had been waiting for me to get my food so we could eat together and by that time their food was cold. It s not cool to bring food out as it s ready , idk seems a little profit over quality to me It s already very expensive to eat out at ANY restaurant- and I still have to deal with this Fast Food experience whilst paying £70 at least for a meal for two?!
Best service one of the best i ve in london fresh food quick service ION WAS THE ONE THAT SERVE ME TOP BOY !
Came here after a long flight and got the best service ever from Megan who got our order quickly and correct, so thank you very much. Will come back again!!!
The ambience is like any other Wagamama. The Saku Soba noodles with crispy shredded duck was sooo good. Had to cut down 2 stars because of the chicken Katsu curry. It was not at all upto the mark. Chicken Katsu curry was the best at wagamama but at this location it was not at all good. Customer service is okay okay.
The food wasn t good as it normally is. We had chicken katsu curry (to takeaway) and the chicken was overcooked and the sauce was tasteless. Unfortunately it wasn t up to their usual standards as we have eaten there before (and in other branches). We were very disappointed with our meals today. We are hoping that this will encourage some improvement.
I want to thank Elizabeth for her extraordinary hospitality at Wagamama. She greeted us with a warm smile and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She provided impeccable service and made us feel truly special. I highly recommend this location because of her. Food
Elizabeth is brilliant! The food amazing like always, just the music a lit bit louder.
I had a good time, food was good the service was good. Prapti did well for me on service, will be coming back,
Found hair in my ramen, after that was waiting about 30min to get replacement for it.
Excellent.
Overall experience is really good, my favourite Ramen and orange juice!! Tumio food beautiful Atmosphere!! Served by Benny amazing stuff!!
Nicole served me and my boyfriend at this Wagamama - she is so sweet, kind, and cheerful. Made my experience here 100% better, she was super attentive and caring and helpful. Would come back here thanks to Nicole!
Lovely food, when it eventually arrives! All the food was served except my main. When I asked for this the manager eventually apologised and said it was coming soon and they would not charge me for it.
Takeaway portions are so disappointing. 60% of the volume they typically are. We picked up ourselves and 10 mins later got a call to say they d given us the wrong order. Had to go back and only to be disappointed by the lack of portions when we got home.
First waitress did not care but then Meghan came in at 3pm and saved the day. Great service, very friendly and helpful!
Average food. Everything was dirty - the floors, the glasses, table sticky and menu dirty! Not recommended
One of the worst restaurants in terms of taste I have visited so far. I regret for not asking my money back.
The food was amazing and me & my friend got lucky with a great waiter!
After about 100+ chilli chicken ramens. This was definitely up to standards. Food serving time was slightly slow, and wasn t really acknowledged from the waiters for a good 10 minutes. Other than that great.
For sloppy unremarkable noodles it was all rather expensive, really.
Megan who served our table was lovely warm and friendly and outstanding. Great customer service. Food was ok.
Very good food and atmosphere, but what impressed me the most was the host Megan, she was very attentive and always served us with a smile, no request was too much for her, I will definitely return.
Megan Bell served as a great hostess. She offered a great service. She made our group of ten colleagues who met for a lunch feel welcomed. Thank you Megan for great service.
Good as ever
So lovely
The service was very poor and the food was spicy, I would NOT recommend this place at all. If you like everything spicy, good luck with that.
The waitresses attended to us the whole time, they also found out information in the kitchen regarding the preparation of gluten-free meals. The seating is fine, the food is good, just smaller portions. Dietary restrictions: Option of gluten-free meals
The service was great and food was delicious and our server Ion, was really kind!
Our server, Ion was extremely nice and made us feel very comfortable and helped enjoy our experience.
Hi, I have been a fan of Wagamama for years. And have tried their various locations and takeaway deliveries so many times. I never experienced any disappointment in the quality of food untill this Saturday at the Westfield Stratford location. I have visited this location several times and the food and and aervice was good untill this time.We a party of three arrived for lunch and were seated at one of the tables. The food quality has deteriorated over time I suppose. We ordered some starters and mains, among them was salmon teriyaki soba, prawn nori rolls and chicken gyoza ramen which were the worst quality. The gyozas were burnt which gave the broth charcoal flavour, the prawn nori rolls were soggy not what was expected, and the salmon wasn t upto the mark in terms of cooking, freshness and flavour. We couldn t even touch the chicken gyoza ramen, the service was bad as well first the servers got the order wrong and didn t even care if the food was if quality or no. Normally the servers would ask how was your food if anything elae was needed, we were left on our own. We left the chicken gyoza ramen untouched and nobody cared why. Unfortunately I won t be returning to Wagamama again. disappointed!
Overall good experience, for the price of the food, it doesn t taste that good. You can find better in China town or other places.
Took about 45 minutes to take our order. Once they by it round to delivering the food it came cold. Trying to get hold of waiting staff is very difficult. Even during busy times the minimum expectation is that your food arrives hot. Food : 1/5
Manager with jeans forgot one of our dish. While ordering didn t even look at us, pretty rude.
Ask four separate people for water. 39 minutes of waiting, did not arrive. Appalling service. Really not impressed. Avoid during busy periods.
Service, atmosphere and food was lovely. Ion, the FOH staff who served us was excellent.
This is my first time to write a Google review. Really like Lons service. Normally I need to wait a long time until a staff come to serve me. This is the first time that the time for waiting to order after sit down is pretty short. Today I feel like Lon really care about the guests around his table and always keep an eye on so that guests will get a response very quickly. Really appreciate that!!! Really good attitude! Lon has lots potential doing client facing job!
Ion served us. Absolutely fantastic service and the food was great!
I was wanting for 30min 1 beer
Full on out beauty. Best customer service you can find. A waiter named Sami was the best and kindest waiter we have ever had. Our food was ready in around 5-10 minutes maximum. Our drinks came even faster at 2 -5 minutes maximum. To be fair we paid £98.60 but we paid a £100 and let them keep the change. I would give more but I didnt have enough to give more. We ordered around 5-6 dishes. The bowls look small but they are really big. Again, one of the best restaurants you can find ever. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to go into alot of seats so you always have a place to sit at.
Not great service, mixed up orders, got chicken when we requested prawns. Not good as I only eat halal. The food we did receive was very bland, I really used to enjoy eating at Wagamamas but this time I was really disappointed. Food
Food great as always, service was good, would recommend if you are in Westfield
Front of house staff are good; kitchen staff need to remember to cook whats requested and also make sure its hot.
I wanted to write this to thank our lovely waitress Nicola for taking our lunch order so carefully so we got exactly the order we wanted. We messed around it with a lot .. allergies ... no seeds ... not too spicy etc ...
Found some red in my chicken I believe it either wasn t cooked properly or it was dodgy produce, the explanation I got was it must be veins but the veins in chicken should not look like that! I was also told that real chicken is used and it s not processed chicken. The waitress did not offer to take my meal off the bill won t be eating here again, I now feel sick
Service was very slow, one meal had been completely missed so did not receive it until 25 minutes after everyone had finished the me. Poor attitude from some of the waiting staff.
Ive been there yesterday with my friends on the afternoon to eat something, food was delicious but the customer service really poor, manager (black t-shirt) I guess from that place was serving us at first, he was coming back 3 times to confirm our order as he forgot what we ordered, then at the end of our meals the lady came to pick up our glasses after drinks, she move on the table all of the glasses and she left as someone else called her, then we ask for bill, I guess the lady which was serving us, was new and as soon as I know this bill (discounted) should be done by the manager which wasnt interested to finalise our bill, we were waiting around 15 mins to pay for our food, at the end when manager processed the discount, he shout it to us that all one guys and we can pay instead of coming to out table, I was in couple of wagamama branches and this experience was really poor.
Nicely done restaurant! Nice stuff!
Elizabeth was very attentive to us. Polite, friendly rate 1000. Just an observations about two girls who came to serve the table, I believe one of them is a manager or assistant. She must have been having a really bad day. Not nice and she practically threw the plate on the table. Anyway, we all have bad days. Lets focus on Elizabeths good service
Amazing
My friend and I had a great experience. We heartily recommend the fresh up-beet and positive juices, delicious chicken salad and prawn raisukaree. Customer service was excellent. Arigato Kaleb!
Very tasty food and great service!
From Australia and my first time at Wagamama s and it was so delicious, had the tofu hotpot! Danielle and Sammie were our servers and were so kind and attentive
This place is a shadow of what it used to be. The wait staff are so careless that they don t take the right order, and so I ve had to send it back and ask for the dish I wanted twice. The music is BLASTING out loud. The food often arrives lukewarm and without any thought put into it. It s such a shame, because I used to love going to this branch Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, but they often mix up orders, so I ll end up with fish when I ordered tofu.
Ate here myself for dinner. Insanely slow service. Nobody came to take my order for 15 min. I had to walk to the staff to get my order taken. Then it took another 35 minutes to get my food. My gyoza appetizer never even. I ordered ramen for my main and the noodles were all clumped together, not cooked well. The tea that I ordered arrived after my main arrived. The staff did not want to be there. Seems like they have some management issues. Will not be returning.
Terrible service , no chrome service at all. Food is so cold I m sure it s been sitting there. Tasteless . Don t worth it at all
Its lovely , friendly and patient staff who kept on checking on us. Preparation were as always great We had raisikaree, yaki soba, edamame, mixed mushrooms. All yum I had visited again today, loved vegetable gyoza, though didn t like much yasai vegetable gyoza ramen, even katsu curry was not that great today.. it tasted too much of curry powder. Staff was very nice, and kept on checking.
Service was all over the place. Starter came after the mains. Party of 4. I was the last to get food everyone had finished. Before I got mine.
I m a fan of the Wagamama chain, but this was by a long way the worst experience I ve had in one of their restaurants. It seems from other reviews here, I m not the only one who thinks this place is well below par for the course. Our experience got off to a poor start when we arrived and waited patiently to be seated, when the lady who should have been greeting us avoided eye contact with us for an uncomfortably long time. She ignored us as she idly shuffled the menus at her desk and then when she did eventually decide that she wanted to do her job, she didn t even make eye contact or say hello, but just told us to follow her, walked us over to a table and then turned around without saying anything and walked back to where she was. When did customer service get so poor? Not even the bare minimum of greeting customers or even looking at them is being met now? Shameful. When we sat down we noticed the table was very sticky and later noticed that they were not being wiped down at all when diners left. Again, really poor standards. I must say that the food itself was as good as it always is. The hoisin duck bao buns, chilli squid and the gochujang chicken donburi were all delicious so kudos to the chefs. I m happy to report that at least someone does their job in this place. However, we did get through almost the entire meal before our drinks arrived (after a couple of polite reminders). We came here on a Friday night to relax, and enjoy the start of our weekend with some good food. That wish was ruined by the sheer laziness and poor attitude towards work of the staff here. Overall, a really disappointing dining experience.
Was sat down for 12 minutes and still no one came to our table. So walked out & went else where.
Great service from Sagor, he was so nice to my niece that she even said Thank you! (she is usually very shy)
Weve come here multiple times and the food is always amazing! Service is also high class! Sumaia was really attentive making sure all our needs were met!
Our server Elizabeth was the best she could be although it was christmas eve and wagamama was short staffed but she improved our experience to the best of her ability. Food was amazing and any problems were attended to. Would come again.
had a good time and was seated quicooy. we had our little one with the push chair with us so were seated in a place with enough spaace. the service and food was good. would have liked to sit in the area just outside as it had more space but when asked were told its closed and only used later which although understandable was disappointing, as this would have given us a lot more space with the push chair and little one. Vegetarian options: we enjoyed the vegan Kdogs which seem to be new on the menue.
Took half an hour just to order food, which then also took ages to come. People who came in after us were abeo to order and receive their food before we had even ordered ours. I strongly recommend you go to a different restaurant as the service in this one is appalling.
Cerise Very respectful and help out in recommendations and took care of us really well
We dined on New Years Day. The service was slow and we waited over an hour to receive food and drinks from being seating. This is unheard of at Wagamamas, as food comes out as and when ready. We were told piority was being given to online orders. Thus neglecting comsumers in the resturant. Our first server did not place our order, as we later found out this was due to him finishing work and not wanted to work later. We were told a new member of staff on the bar meant slow service on the drinks. Fruit juices were not available due to ingredients running out. Waiting staff were not very attentive, many just walking around. One member of my party witnessed a staff member order, eat and finish thier food before we had received ours and after we had ordered. Multiple staff wore beenie hats, which was not inline with the dresscode. When we questioned the status of our order, the manager was abrupt, quirying why we had an issue. When we mentioned we had seen many delivery orders beening made and collected in the same time we were seated. It was stated priority was given to deliveres. When food did arrive it was cold and ingredients were missing, as one member of my party is a frequent diner at wagamama due to their dietary requirements. A started arrived 25 minuets after we had all eaten. Nearly 1hr30m after we placed our order. A review of service needs to be made at this brance.
Our first time dinning experience with Wagamama in Westfield Stratford, and the lady who served us from start to end was Ellie. She was very sweet and cheerful which made us felt good. Keep up the good job
I have really enjoyed visits to Wagamama over the years because of their friendly staff, quick service and decent food, but this experience at the Stratford branch has completely put me off ever returning. It was the most disappointing and frustrating experience I have had by far. No one came to take our order - we had to get the attention of one of the waiters to do so, which proved difficult despite the Stratford branch having a very large number of staff (none of whom seem to want to do their job). It was another long wait before 1 dish arrived (almost half an hour). Then, it was another long wait with no drink or food coming out. We had to flag down one of the waiters to ask what was going on and if they could check on our order. Eventually, the drinks came and the remainder of the dishes, but when they arrived, they had got the order wrong and given us an extra starter. When we told them the order was wrong, the waitress said we could have it on the house. The food arrived lukewarm. Wagamama staff always talk about how all food is cooked fresh to order and each dish is brought out as soon as it s ready, but it seemed like these dishes had been sitting on the side for a while. The standard of food at this Wagamama is worse than a lot of other branches I ve been to, so I would avoid this one at all costs. When it came to paying the bill, we tried doing it using the QR code system, but the bill was wrong as they had charged us for the extra starter (which was supposed to be on the house). We had to ask a waiter to amend the bill. He went to the computer to make the change and said it had been amended. However when we checked again, there was no change. As we could not get the attention of another waiter, we had to go up to them at the till point to explain the situation again. The staff didn t seem to be interested in serving their customers - it was almost as if customers were a nuisance to them. There was also only 1 girl at the bar making up the drinks orders and doing so very slowly. On top of all of this, this branch seems to do a lot of business through online food delivery apps - there was a constant stream of delivery drivers walking through the restaurant and standing around and hanging out next to the kitchen, scrolling on their phones which really spoils the ambience. The size of the kitchen and the number of chefs is too small to have all these takeaway orders being made as well as serving a full restaurant. The quality of the food and the service suffers terribly. I hope Wagamama management take note of this and work on a solution.
I ordered the spicy miso mackerel and it I tasted really good but for £16.50! I don t think you get your money s worth it comes in a big bowl but you don t get a generous portion. For that price I want it filled to the top! It s supposed to be a main not a starter. I also got the roti which was nice with the raisukatsu sauce and it had lots of flavour.
Please train the Manager on how to deal with diners that have allergies, she came with a clipboard to read me a very robotic script, its quite humiliating. At the end of the day it was a complete waste of time as the restaurant uses same fryer for meat and fish . What really made me laugh was that she was so proud to tell me that my meal would be supervised by a senior member of staff who had washed their hands, I hope all your staff have washed their hands
Very bad service and long wait. Food is mediocre at best
We ordered 2 ramen and a katsu curry along with 3 starters - one of which was mushroom bao buns (7 quid so not cheap for this alone). The mains came well before the starters apart from the mushroom baos which didnt arrive at all. We asked at the end of the meal if this could be taken off the bill as it hadnt arrived and it was over 20minutes since wed finished all the other food on the table and clearly wasnt coming. The waitress spoke to her manager who came over and insisted we had to have the bao buns because they had already been defrosted, and then gave some lame excuse as to why we had to take them. She said we could box them up or have them here but that we had to have them now and we would be charged despite it being clear we didnt want them. When they did arrive they were soggy, oily and amount of mushroom in it was pitiful and so we left them but still had to pay. A waste of food and poor service to steal an extra 7 pounds out of our pockets. Do not go here.
Nice place with healthy foods
Tried this place out for the first time, I ve been meaning to come here for a while as I have seen loads of videos online about how good their food is and was very disappointed. 5 pieces of chicken gyozas for £7.50 with hardly any filling inside is crazy, prawn + chicken pad Thai was bland and mediocre, it s pretty simple and a famous national dish of Thailand so quite annoyed it did it not taste anything like it, I was eating for the sake of eating. With an iced tea, bill came up to £25 which is expensive for something I did not enjoy. Not sure if it s the chef or the menu but maybe I will give Wagamama another chance one day.
The dining experience left much to be desired. Unfortunately, we faced prolonged waits for someone to take our order, disjointed meal as mains arrived at different times, some dishes were disappointingly cold, and the dry texture of both noodles and rice were particularly notable. Despite the friendly service, these issues collectively impacted the overall value for the price, making the dining experience less enjoyable than anticipated.
We waited 10 mins to be seated and a booth was available but were told its for 5 or more people. We waited another 10 mins for another table to be cleaned but then another waitress seated 3 people at the booth. We were told they were going to be joined, however no one turned up. The young waitresses were rude and walked off calling the manager Then we waited another 10 mins for a waitress to take our order. Ruined our Sunday lunch!
Great food. Appalling service
Cerise was very attentive when it came to providing us with great 5 star service!
Delicious meal.
As someone who dines at Wagamama regularly, I was disheartened by the exceptionally poor service and lack of quality in the food served. I will never dine at the Wagamama in Westfield Stratford ever again.
We had to ask for menus after being sat to s table for over 5 minds or more, Really slow service despite the restaurant being not busy. My starter arrived after my main course arrived and after my friends main which she nearly finished by that time. . No staff checked in on us or offered us further drinks. However after all the disappointment the Food tasted great.
Great place to grab a quick bite.
Excellent customer service and food quality.
50 minutes to bring over an asahi bruddaaaaa
Great food and environment
We were greeted by Warda who was the most lovely individual with such great energy! She made the experience so incredible. Especially when she told us she was new, genuinely what a gem! Just a shame food was a bit slow waiting for nearly 40 minutes for a dish. But overall great as usual!
Lovely
Service is amazing like usual, clean and vibrant atmosphere, the food like usual amazing fully recommend shirodashi pork belly.
Really nice food here but service so bad they got not a clue about be a restaurant my starter come after my mains and drinks come after all it s remind me a mc Donald s
