What a lovely place! It s a wonderful memorable lunch with my best friends. I can say there is no better place in London to get oysters than Wiltons. I will definitely return.

Not the greatest. You cant really get pizza slices wrong and mine was great but the other food was ordinary at best. But the Panto was sensational and thats what we went for

Fabulous historic British restaurant. I ordered the sole and it was outstanding. The service was impeccable. My dining partner had the oysters, outstanding as well. Next time I visit London will definitely return. Its a wonderful memorable experience.

Went there multiple times with my family. I cannot recommend more the service and I like the fact that they have real identity and dont try to fall into the horror digital system that has engulfed all other restaurants in london, claiming luxury and fine taste when you need to book tables like cheap airplane tickets and terrible like nightclub music

Without a doubt, a visit is a must to enjoy an authentic British flavor. It started as an oyster bar and ended up being todays classic restaurant. Select and elegant atmosphere. Classic British decoration. A menu with seafood and meat. Great variety of oysters and classic dishes. We start with a smoked salmon. They come with different hints of smoke, we asked for the smokiest one, very good advice. We also shared a Stillton cheese suffle. Excellent, a fine blue cheese flavor and the perfect soufflé. The main course is kidneys with bacon, a bit overcooked but good in flavour. A roast pheasant accompanied by wine sauce, applesauce and a very thick type of béchamel. The perfect roast point, crispy skin and meat just right. And a Wilton cake, amazing, pieces of salmon and turbot covered in gratin mashed potatoes. On it a boiled and battered egg. An incredible dish. Something stale but exceptional. For dessert, a raspberry souffle. Also perfect for cooking. Extensive international wine list with some English references. Perfect service. It is certainly a place to enjoy a traditional meal in London.

We went there searching for a light dinner. The Wimbledon Smoked Salmon was quite good: subtle taste that was enhanced by a squeeze of lime. The Wiltons Fish Pie was extraordinary. The soft cooked egg really lifted the dish. Its going to be difficult for me to find another fish pie to match this.

Visited megans last weekend. It was a busy brunch hour, and we still had a lovely experience. We were looked after by Kazi, a lovely lady who seemed to handle the crowd well. Posh lamb doner and halloumi fries are recommended .

I recently visited restaurant for my best friend s bday celebration.The interior of the restaurant is very sophisticated with wonderful artwork.we were served by Barbara who advises us on the menu,presented suggested started ,she was very friendly and professional at the same time Food was delicious we will definitely return. The only thing I may suggest is the option of using a bar prior to arrival The restaurant opening time is 5:30 and when you arrive before that you have to wait at the entrance I believe that allowing the guest to use bar from 5 o clock could potentially improve whole dining experience Thank you

On recommendation of one of my friend, we booked a table with my family. I just want to say that I am visiting London since long and been to every famous restaurant. Top of all, I never saw a welcoming Security like Here. Tall, good looking, hard to un notice man was very nice, I think his name was Ali. He was very nice to everyone. Furthermore, I liked the food and the vibe. For sure will come back again and will recommend to my friends.

One of the best dining experiences I have had the pleasure of having. After a couple of cucumber Martinis, I started with the marinaded smoked salmon that was perfectly matched to the mustard sauce. For main I had fried Plaice with pea puree (which is something not to miss). Finished with the raspberry souffle and an Espresso martini. Service was faultless.

Our first time eating at Wiltons. Lovely place,friendly staff and very good selection of fish dishes. Has a good selection of meat ones too. On the night they had Beef Wellington.

Great food, great service! Very traditional British cuisine. They have gluten free food and very knowledgeable staff. Definitely coeliac safe in my opinion - I had no reaction and they even knew that there is wheat in some mustards.

dining here was an incredibly special experience and i cannot recommend it highly enough. all of the food was excellent fresh ingredients in traditional preparations. the stilton soufflé is absolutely a must-order dish. we had never had anything like it and it was so incredibly delicious. the prawn cocktail and dover sole were also excellent, as were the desserts. the service was perfect and we felt very special to be dining here. the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. strongly suggest booking a table here for any special occasion while in london

I eat at Wilton s regularly because it has the best classic English food and seafood in London and the staff make you feel like it is a home from home. It is a top end restaurant which is expensive but at the same time worth every penny.

Well, yesterday my wife and I flew from Porto to Lisbon to London and thankfully made it in the rain just in time for our 9pm reservation. Everything was as we expected at our favorite London restaurant. I had my favorite smoked eel appetizer, the hake entree, and the pea puree side, that could have been a dessert. My wife had the cerviche appetizer, the plaise entree, and the spinach side. EVERYTHING was delicious, as always. And our female server Barbara was excellent. We eagerly look forward to our next dinners at Wiltons...TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

Prime located classic British old school restaurant. Excellent food and service

Wiltons, tucked in a little street just off Piccadilly, is a restaurant that you need to visit at least once in your lifetime. Its listed as a seafood restaurant but to me its more of a British cuisine. The Beef Wellington was simply amazing, the soufflé was done to perfection and the Louis XIII cognac was superlative. The service, the atmosphere, the attention to details, its formal British hospitality at its finest.

Old school. Club atmosphere. Excellent oysters. One of the best in London for wild game. A favorite for decades. Sit at the banquette.

For me - it is the best seafood in London. But the main thing is atmosphere. It s very old fashioned. Sit down, relax, take Chevalier-Montrachet Domaine Leflaive and in 10 minutes you feel like your Grand Pa still sits in the House of Lords. My recommendations: for Gentlemen- to be in suit, for Ladies- to be rich. In this case it is your place and you will enjoy!

A classic English restaurant. Even if you arrive at 1pm, they will still say good morning as you havent yet had lunch. Impeccable service and good food. The lunchtime carvery trolley is a cheaperway of dining here.

Majestically classic. The best oysters in the whole world, period. Smoke eel was awesome. Mix grill is still my choice again. Same wine even tastes better at Wiltons.

Sheer class cant even begin to describe this place! After a few minutes I was convinced my great grandfather had been a member of Parliament and that I was destined for greatness as well. Even MP isnt out of reach. Outstanding starters: a lovely endive salad with a sharp mustard dressing, silky Stilton, & walnuts and a game terrine with just the right touch of gamey goodness. Our mains were a great turbot and a perfectly cooked Dover sole. Do not skip the pea purée side dish, which although it looks like baby food, is actually the purest, sweetest taste of English peas imaginable. Good wine list with selections across the price points. Why didnt I give it 5 stars overall? There were a few weaknesses. The cocktails were lacking in depth and complexity compared to many other options in London. The portions are generally too large for how rich they are (although many wouldnt complain about that. I just felt bad for leaving food behind, but I simply couldnt eat any more). A nigglilng complaint: in the mens toilet there are charmingly quirky pictures of Mr. Wilton the langoustine enjoying various sports like horse racing and rowing. In the womens toilet there are botanical lithographs of lettuces. Come on, people. Its 2024 women like dapper langoustines too!

The food is very nice, the service is very nice. Unfortunately the website experience is absolutely terrible. I decided to have lunch there with my mother next week and tried to book online. Not only does it now demand a credit card which doesn t seem very Wilton s to me but the booking form keeps getting rejected for petty reasons, and I am now on my third attempt to make a zero credit card payment in order to make the booking! Is this really necessary? To add insult to injury, there isn t even an email address, so a Google review is the only way of giving any feedback.

My wife and daughter went for our anniversary. Food and service was excellent! My and I had Beef Wellington and it was delicious! Wine list was very good with a great selection. The wait staff were very knowledgeable and professional. One of the best evenings out since COVID. Highly recommend it!

Best restaurant in the world IMHO.

Dressed crab, flaky and sweet, comes with a fan of ripe green avocado. Delicately flavoured Lincolnshire eel, rosy pink around the edge and fading to pale cream within, might be at the Silk Cut end of the smokiness spectrum but the accompanying horseradish will blow your head off. Dover sole is sautéed to a platonic ideal of golden brown and the butter melted to the limpid yellow of young Sauternes.

Impeccable quality service and food. Wiltons is a London classic since 1742, an expensive place but definitely worth it. For men, it is a requirement that they attend with closed shoes, pants and long sleeves, for women, although no dress code is specified, it is preferable to be well dressed. From the exquisite and super fresh Oysters, to the fish and dessert, all delicious and part of a great impeccable experience.

Top shelf dining. Delicious meal and extensive and fabulous wine list. Definitely going back. Had the sea bass with steamed vegetables and it was quite likely the best sea bass I have ever had. And I know seafood, especially given my 30+ years enjoying sea bass, salmon and trout. And snapper. And so much more! The service was top notch. I am coming back!

280 year old restaurant with a refined and top end appeal. Mobile phones and photographing food and each other is not the done thing so you will find people actually engaging with each other here! From the moment you walk in to the time you leave its a pleasure to be here. Greeted by the front of house who took our coats we were ushered to our table, a quaint booth for four. We started with a nice bottle of house champers which was cold and crisp and a good palette cleanser. We had a few more of these over the course of the meal. My company went for the seasonal menu which was £40 for two courses, and was very reasonable. They all went for oysters and they looked good and had no complaints. I went for the twice baked Colston Basset Stilton soufflé from the Al la Carte, which was incredible! Full of flavour and the texture of soft velvet. I could have eaten that 3 times over! I followed with a steak, sirloin, med/rare, which was disappointing, tough, but perfectly seasoned and cooked. I believe it was simply a bad cut and when I mentioned this the order was immediately removed from the bill, which was impressive considering one of my friends had endeavoured to eat it anyway. The party ordered the lemon sole, which I tried and it was fresh and light, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Note: this is predominantly a fish restaurant, stupid of me really to go with steak but even so this is worth pointing out. I will 100% order a fish main next time. I finished with Crème Brulé which was also excellent and finished my meal off nicely! Overall, wonderful! Service was impeccable, food was superb despite the steak, and ambiance flawless. I will be back, I will order fish and I will tell people to visit! Thank you for accommodating us!

Went there from Miami for my 70 th Bday . Have read about it for years but this was my first opportunity to visit . I ll be brief . in a League of their own ! Class personified, Old World Charm , Elegant , Delicious , a Wonderful Experience! And When I thanked them for the very nice table , they replied . Margaret Thatcher always liked it too !

A memorable evening.

Traditional English restaurant specialising in seafood. On arrival for a 1pm table I was greeted with a smile and a Good morning! . Good afternoon! I replied. Another smile and I was corrected: At Wiltons it is morning until after you have eaten lunch. The dining room is elegant and cosy without feeling crowded. The service is attentive and friendly and there is a convivial atmosphere. The seasonal menu was very nice and went down well with a bottle of Wiltons 280th anniversary Chablis.

My experience at Wiltons Restaurant was horrible, Atmosphere, services and staff communication, is look slavery place. I do not recommend it, there are many other restaurants with better quality and well-being.

Other than the young woman who was helping to wait on her table the service was not as good as we expected. I hate when a place judges you when you dont order wine my wife and I do not drink much alcohol.

One of the top 10 dinners of my life. Great old school French style atmosphere and service. Reminds me of La Grenouille in New York. Very fresh seafood. The most tender and delicious Dover sole I ve had. It had a nice thin crispy layer on top. I love langoustine and they are hard to find in the US so I was thrilled when they had them as an appetizer and served with homemade mayo. I wanted to eat here again immediately.

we ordered burrata, vegetable risotto, beef cutlets and steak ((medium well)) but it came very dry and overcooked. no variety in carbs sides

We booked dinner at Wilton s for my birthday during a 5 day visit to London. I wanted a quintessential British restaurant with formal service, but not stuffy. We were not disappointed! From our cocktails (cucumber martini for me, pear vodka for my husband) to dessert, everything was delicious. I had lobster bisque that was full of lobster flavor and not too rich, my husband had oysters and then gazpacho. Dover sole for me with spinach, cooked to perfection and a very generous fillet. If you are looking for old school style with outstanding ingredients cooked well, you won t be disappointed.

Incredible dining experience. Almost every dish hit exactly how it was supposed to. The bread and butter is always a good indicator for the rest of the meal and it was on point. The lobster bisque and crab with avocado were sublime. The cheese souffle is truly genius, with a rich depth of flavour that carries from the first bite to the last. The steak was good quality beef, although the lack of attempt at searing did not do the beef justice. Desserts were reasonable. The summer pudding was overloaded on the tart side, and the chocolate fondant was rich and decadent. The two paired together fared nicely although this is probably unintended. The two desserts separately were a bit unbalanced. I would have loved to try the bread and butter pudding. Service was attentive and unintrusive if a little stiff, but it is a bit more of a stiff fine dining type of restaurant so this is somewhat expected. All in all a top tier dining experience. I would love to return when I am next in town as it is a restaurant for those who are truly interested in eating food that is properly tasty and well executed. This is not a place for instagram but for gourmands.

Excellent place to dine, good service and quality of food

I was a tourist, and I went to eat here on a very hot day. Hence, I was wearing a cotton Mickey Mouse t-shirt, legging, and sneakers (with a backpack and ball cap). They told my boyfriend, who was dressed nicer than me, we could stop in to eat lunch. I didn t see their dress code paper in the front area. The staff treated me so well with so much respect, I was very appreciative for their kindness even though I was not dressed appropriately to dine at their restaurant. Even the hostess helped me put on my backpack for me. I am very grateful for the courtesy and hospitality of the British people.

We had a very nice dinner for four here. The menu is not expansive, but what Wiltons do, they do very well. The oyster selection was divine, and a lesson in the subtle difference in type of oyster. The Turbot was superb. The cheesecake, like no other. My partner had grouse, and wasnt happy with the liver pate accompanying it, but apart from that the meal was exceptionally good. The service is excellent, and at times slightly overwhelming, but staff were mostly happy, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is quite formal, but not too austere. Definitely a place for a special and slightly formal occasion. Vegetarian options: Dont expect more than one, or maybe two vegetarian options for starter and main courses

Impeccable service, great menu, excellent food. A place where I can feel totally relaxed. Good to take family or for an upscale romantic tete-a-tete. House champagne is as good as any Ive ever had. I always leave here with a smile on my face and cant wait to go back.

It was so delicious that I had to come to London just to come here, and even for me who cant eat oysters, it was a really delicious oyster that was fresh and full of flavor. When I told them about the wrong drink order, they corrected it right away and everyone was really friendly. It was a really delicious and nice place!

Spectacular seafood restaurant on Jermyn Street. Any restaurant thats served for 275+ years is doing something right. Dover sole, oysters, and game are exquisite. Caviar served with all the accoutrements. Service is fit for the King. Always returning here.

People often ask me which is my favourite restaurant, I find it hard to say, as I go to so many, and like to try new places all the time. However, one invitation I will never refuse, and one restaurant I will never tire of is Wiltons. It is here over 40 years ago I spent almost a weeks wages on a couple of glasses of Chablis and some giant prawns, at the bar. My last supper would have to include Wiltons Lobster Thermidor. I cant wait to return.

Micheal and his team gave us a warm welcome for our first visit in 2022. Beef consommé and smoked eel were both simple and perfectly cooked. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Our main courses of Fillet and Dover sole were perfect and delicious. The whole evening was unrushed, a calm atmosphere left us feeling relaxed and happy.

Posh London places are not exactly my thing... Except Wilton.

Im satisfied. the oysters were so fresh. from Jersey Island. reasonable prices. the freshness of the food was supreme. the size varied. mostly of its fresh were equal to the size of its shell. need not add any vinegar or sauce. oysters are simply delicious by itself. the freshness and the liquid of the oysters brought the wave of seawater slam into your taste buds.

Wiltons is the plaice to be. OMG their fried plaice and pea puree was so delicious. Duty Manager Tommaso, and staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. For me , The best r appetiser & dessert !

Had supper here on Tues evening with my brother and best friend. It was, as always, superb. A black velvet to sharpen the taste buds, oysters to share and then some top quality sides with my lamb cutlets. I love this place and recommend it to anyone who wants a more refined dining experience.

Very enjoyable experience but have to say your lobster is overrated and now had it a few times and crab for me. Expensive but just smells of money. Not for your average Joe Food : 4/5

One of the oldest English restaurant in town

Sadly at 4.15 our coffee hadnt materialised and we felt pressureid to leave, otherwise excellent lunch enjoyed by all.

Simply impeccable

The food was sumptuous and the service was attention to detail and courteous.

There is something special about Wiltons, a great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We had a gorgeous meal and a cute booth for the two of us. Always a memorable evening.
