Great service and food with a bit of🌶️ . I ordered the Chicken wok Noodle with home made lemonade! 🍋
We ordered the Hot Chicken Bao, the Beef Brisket Bao, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Dumplings and some Fresh Lemonade. The Bao buns were delicious and quite soft. I especially enjoyed the Hot Chicken Bao. The chicken was crispy and there was a generous amount of sauces on both the buns. The Chicken Fried rice was also delicious and served hot. They serve quite a generous amount of rice, I would say its enough for 2 people to share. The chicken dumplings were tiny but tasted ok, nothing special. The lemonade was too sweet. The customer service was excellent although we had to wait a bit for our food which is to expected in Westfield-Stratford. In general the food was delicious.
The food is absolutely amazing 😍 I love this place because the quality of the food and drinks is incredible and authentic. The portions are large so it’s enough to eat there and leftovers for seconds yay! 😍 If you go you have to try there Wok noodles with beef and there freshly made lemonade because it’s soo nice and the lemonade is so refreshing. The staff are super nice and friendly and the service is fantastic. 10/10 all around 😊 I’ll be back for sure and I strongly recommend to check out Master Bao.
Beef Bao most recommended with nice, juicy and tender. Also their fried chicken very tasty and crispy with that nice yellow mayonnaise sauce. Fresh lemanade tasted great at the end. Evey thing all together cost 17.30 pounds. Not Bad for the price.
Master Bao shop in Westfield Stratford is a great addition to foodcourt. Lovely staff and quick service. The bubble tea was good with flavour. The bao was ok. However the food was disappointing. The chicken side was very very hard, not even hot when being served. the fried rice was very hard. We visited the shop this Monday 15th around 5pm .

Each grain of rice was expertly cooked, neither too soft nor too firm, and was infused with a delightful blend of seasonings. The chicken pieces were tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the fresh vegetables and light soy sauce. The dish was a harmonious mix of textures and tastes, making it a comforting yet exciting choice. What truly elevated the dining experience was the exceptional service provided by the waitress. She was attentive, friendly, and always ready with a warm smile. Her knowledge of the menu and her willingness to offer recommendations made us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout our meal. Overall, Master Bao Stratford stands out not only for its delicious food but also for its outstanding service. The braised beef noodle soup and chicken fried rice are must-tries, and the friendly atmosphere created by the staff makes it a place worth revisiting.
I was at master Bao in Stratford for the first time. I have tasted a lot of baos from other restaurants, so I thought to try them out. The bao were so fluffy, which I loved, but I felt they were a bit smaller. I had two different flavored bao the hot chicken and the prawn bao with a side of chicken dumplings. They were really good. I absolutely loved them and wanted more. I would definitely be going back for more.
I visited here yesterday - the queue was insane so immediately thought it was a good sign. I ordered a meal deal which consisted of 2 bao’s (A Hot Chicken Bao: Fried chicken, hot Sichuan butter, smacked cucumber and red onion relish and a Mr Bao: Slow braised pork, house pickles, roasted peanuts) and a regular side - I chose chips. The food took about 10 minutes to come. Let’s start off with the Bao bun. These were the fluffiest buns I have ever tasted. If I could buy all their buns and take it home to fill with my own fillings I would. AMAZING. 20/10 for the bun itself. Fluffy and moreish. The pork Bao was the better out of the two but not amazing. The peanuts have a wonderful textural element which was the highlight for me. The chicken one was very disappointing. I don’t know what the topping on top of the chicken was but it was INCREDIBLY salty - I couldn’t eat it - I actually thought they gave me the wrong order as I couldn’t see nor taste any relish but I couldn’t be bothered to rectify it. The chicken was crunchy but whatever the black thing was on top ruined it. The bao’s were a 5/10 for me which is a shame because the buns were amazing. The broccoli came out lukewarm and extremely watery. No seasoning nor flavouring whatsoever. I could have literally squeezed the water from it. Very disappointing. The chips were delicious - crunchy and hot, bordering too salty but it was okay. My brother ordered the noodles which were ok but desperately needed salt. I would recommend this place for the buns but not quite the fillings. If they improve they fillings and sides, they’ll definitely be a Bao place to beat.

As a bowl of Taiwanese beef noodles and Taiwanese steamed buns, they taste okay. Of course, I think the price of 5 pounds per bun is too expensive. I don t know if it s because of the addition of sauerkraut, but his soup smells fermented and a bit irritating.

Click and collect is brilliant. Unfortunately the noodles I had were some of the most bland food Ive ever had. No real flavour. Everything very safe . Nothing punchy. I also asked for no chilli and received a lot, so can t even blame the lack of flavour on that. Sadly, not for me. However, the Bao, which I did not have look quite nice.

Dont go for the fried chicken bao - havent had something this off in a very long time and couldnt finish it.. it was that bad. Pork bao was average at best. Would recommend going someplace else to be honest. Service was nice enough.

Excellent service! Loved the Indian cashier guy with long hair. The new beef noodle soup might ve been good, but I didn t taste before I put on the chili sauce. I think the red chili sauce messed up the flavor. Don t use it!

Generous portions, I went for the wok noodles, not bad, very filling but a little bland and very salty.
Came for lunch with my partner, the prawn fried rice was basic, all the prawns on the surface to pretend there were more than really in the dish (none inside the rice pile), flavour okay, just very low average. However sides were great (broccoli) and bubble tea top notch. As a restaurant the main keeps it solidly in average territory.
the worst Taiwanese food in my life. we ordered 2 bao, 1 fried chicken and 1 beef noodle. the bao no texture, and the taste very salty. the beef noodle even worst, very oily and greasy. we couldnt put in our mouth. feeling sick to eat there, waste of money.

I had the Taiwanese braised beef soup and it was the most flavorless soup I ve ever had, the soup tasted like water, and had no salt at all. It was such a disappointment for the price. My partner had the sweet and sour chicken and the rice also came flavorless, it s like they never used seasonings or salt, would not recommend.
The taste of Brown sugar bubble tea is really amazing. It compares favorably with many milk tea shops. I would give it a 10 out of 5 points. But I really can t compliment the fried rice. It feels like it s fried with half-cooked rice. When you eat it, you can clearly feel the hard starchy texture of half-cooked rice. I hope the boss can cook the rice a little before frying it. Five out of five If it were divided, it would probably be 2 points.
This is not authentic Chinese food nor good food on any other scale. We ordered the hot chicken and beef brisket bao with spring rolls. The baos have no taste of its own. It s just like random things thrown together and do not taste good. The spring roll was Tesco ready made. Would not recommend. Food

Surprisingly good! So nice to have good food in Stratfords Westfield. Very affordable and a cut above whats currently on offer. If youre in the mood for asian, the Baos and the noodles are excellent. They do a great meal deal too. Highly recommend

Very good quality and taste
Nice enough food, but awful awful service. Kitchen staff seem to be doing a great job, but the front counter is disorganised and lacking in any customer care. Waited over 20 minutes for a single dish which would have been ready in under 5 from any of the other stands in the world food court area. I actually ordered from a second vendor a few minutes after ordering at Master Bao and the item from there was ready more than ten minutes sooner. I witnessed lots of customers coming back to the vendor to check if their buzzers were working/their order had actually gone in, because theyd been waiting so long. I was offered no apology or explanation for the wait by staff and they seemed to be actively ignoring those returning to the counter to check on their food. I understand Master Bao is new(ish) and this may be teething problems. But basic customer service can be trained before you even open, so my note to the manager(s) would be to please consider whether you have the right staff on the front counter - my experience would suggest you dont.
Living in Taiwan for 30 years, I love the innovative style of Branding here! My first time trying Taiwanese Beef noodle Beef 7.5/10 Broth 7/10 Noodle 5/10 (too soft like udon) But still above average in London for sure. I m gonna try Bao dishes next time!
Lovely little place with tasty baos. Vegetarian options are already vegan or they make it Vegan for you. Juice was really fresh.
That s totally not Taiwanese food pls Terrible The meat is very dry, uneven in size, and smells like flour. Gua Bao is not Gua Bao, it s just bread stuffed with meat. Its really embarrassing to be a Taiwanese. Provide the above dining experience Please avoid lightning, thank you.
Tried the Fried Chicken. It was harder than the Stone Henge boulders. It was INEDIBLE and a complete waste of time and money.
Great food, think the Master Bao lunch deal is quite good. Has veggie options, especially enjoyed the tofu bao. Would come again. Recommendation for vegetarians Somewhat recommend
