New concept to me dining with strangers; yes, if needs be, and you sit on a large table. Others may join people at the table. I was pleasantly surprised. As some companies are better than others, anything in a clay pot looks delicious. My friend and I ordered our safe bets. The green Thai curry was filling with a portion of jasmine rice. The hot pot she ordered was a stomach cleanser and delicious 😆 The mother and daughter who sat next to us second time round. Advised us to try their order spicy prawn rice and chicken salad. Which smelled and looked amazing. I will be going back initially worried about small portions review. From my observations, looks can be deceptive. The only negative was that the seating area was freezing 🥶 Hence ordering tea, which was lovely 😍

I mostly compare Padthai in Thai restaurants. Unfortunately the noodles wasn't padthai, though the flavours were okay, the chicken tastes as though it was cooked separatelyto the rest and just added on. Didn't absorb any flavours. Only certain chicken dishes are halal. The calamari was very tasty but expensive as you only get about 4/5 pieces for £10
Small Portions I guess because it's London. Everything is more expensive. That's why the portions were quite small, in order to make the physical prices look reasonable. Didn't have much beef slices in the stir fry dish. The food is quite spicy, though the food we ordered didn't have chilli symbols (that included the prawn crackers!). More spicy than the Cambridge Thai restaurants. Good news if you prefer spicy Thai food. Glad that the guava drink was quite refreshing. Helped to cool down after the spicy food. The staff was very patient to customers, we had quite a lot of questions to ask about the menu. The design of the restaurant looks interesting, too bad it's a bit too dark inside.
Very good Thai food. Keep in mind it's "westernized" but still delicious flavors. We tried the tamarind duck breast dish and it was very tender and delicious. We also had some tea and natural guava juice which was refreshing. Service was very good, our waitress was very nice and attentive. They are fully booked normally and there's a wait line, I suggest you make a reservation. If you're around the area it's worth trying.
The food was amazing- 10/10. To start we got the vegan vegetable spring rolls, the wok brocolli, and the crispy soya yam pak salad (with vegan soya chicken-like pieces). For mains we got the ho fun noodles (amazing), the weeping tiger jay, and the chicken jungle curry. Our favourites were all of the starters and the ho fun noodles. However, the service was slow and it took a while, even just for our drinks order to be taken. I also left a booking note for my mum’s birthday which wasn’t acknowledged at all which was disappointing. Also, the tables are massive square benches which end up being communal with other people if it gets busy which is worth noting.
The food was decent except the prawn crackers. We felt it didn't have the crunch. Maybe it just wasn't fresh. Also, the £8.50 cucumber mocktail is a bit overpriced for what it was. Other than that, we enjoyed the rest of the food. I love their coconut rice. We shared the table with two other lovely ladies, and they did ask before they sat us down if we mind sharing.
I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. When my party of 3 arrived at around 5 pm, we were surprised to find the restaurant empty. However, despite the lack of other diners, we were told that we would have to "share tables". This was quite off-putting, and I was nearly tempted to leave. It seemed unnecessary to share a table when there were plenty of empty ones available. Reluctantly, we took our seats in a far corner, anticipating that we would eventually have to share a table with others. We then waited quite a while for our food to arrive. When we received the bill, we were taken aback by the total of £90 for a party of 3, considering that we had ordered only two mains, one platter, salad, and two drinks. The platter we ordered was missing an item, so the staff substituted it with extra chicken satay. Unfortunately, the chicken satay was unappetising, as the chicken was overcooked and tough. The only enjoyable items were the egg and prawn crackers. This is not authentic Thai food. The salad was drenched with some weird sauce with undercooked beans?? This entire experience was quite disappointing, and it's safe to say that I won't be returning to this restaurant. For the owners: Please don't ask customers to share tables if it's quiet. It's very off-putting, especially when we told you three times we don't want to share. Then your only solution is to sit by the small window corner. The restaurant was empty!!!

Great menu, lots of choice. Its like a tapas bar, all food chosen comes at same time. We didnt book so were at one of the shared tables. These tables are huge so there was no encroachment of personal space, you sat at the corner, it was actually better for having a conversation with the other person. Food was well prepared, exceptionally tasty & lovely & hot! Staff were very helpful & friendly but very busy. Occasionally had to attract their attention when requiring something but that was a small point & didnt detract from our enjoyment of the meal. It was so good we went back the next night too. Definitely recommend!!

Huge thank you to Andrew and the team for an incredible meal. We had 4 cocktails (all tasted amazing), and shared the duck noodles, chilli prawn rice, the steak & squid. Everything was so fresh and tasty, the sauce for the steak was incredible. My fav was definitely either the duck noodles or prawn rice - they were both incredible! Staff were super attentive and really kind.

Great place to enjoy the Thai cousine. We were served by a very kind and welcoming guy who gave us some tips about the best dishes (according to our tastes). We ordered as starters prawn crackers and calamari, then asparagus fried rice and pad thai. We will definitely come back! 5/5

The kind of restaurant where everyones pretending . The customers, that theyre eating somewhere swank. Theyre brassy with each other, a hairs breadth from snapping, since no main is less than £20. So for them to look this bad is costing. The head-of-house is pretending to be sober. Maybe. I havent seen a smile wired into place like that before. The staff do the minimum, flitting past tables, and saving their warmth for the delivery guys on the bikes outside. Enough for the diners to see how low they sit by comparison. Well, the delivery guys need the warmth. Its a cold night, as were reminded when they open the window to hand out packs of the preheated slop Busaba calls food. Who orders this kind of stuff? Eating it here is bad enough. Why would you want to be alone with it in a flat? What did we eat? Who cares? Its getting two-out-of-five, whatever it was. Fish. And meaty bits. With rice. Cooked somewhere else. Pinged back into half-life here. Someone ordered a cocktail. It smelt of Tiger Balm and despair. Everyones just phoning it in. We arent quite at the level of the couple clawing at each other in the dentists chair, 24 hours before the Soviets arrive at the bunker. But it cant be far off.

I came for lunch, Food is always good and if you come between 3 and 4 pm is quiet and very enjoyable. My waitress was Mufeedah, she was very sweet and attentive without been intrusive. Dietary restrictions: They ask you for allergies.

If only I could award zero stars. We attempted to eat at Busaba before a gig at London Stadium but left after an hour having had one drink and no food. It became apparent after 45 minutes that our order had been forgotten, so we begrudgingly paid for our drinks (which took about 25 minutes to arrive) and headed to the stadium where we paid an obscene amount for a hot dog. A truly appalling experience.

Food is really disappointing. The curries don t in any way resemble authentic Thai curries despite claiming they do. Awful, no flavour, full of chillies and artificial colouring to cover up deficiencies and lack of flavours. Plus overpriced. Wouldn t eat here again. The whole place looks a bit tatty, needs a tidy up and seats are filthy.
Food was diabolical. Had to send it back because it turned up cold. Most dishes on the menu were also unavailable. 1st and last time going to this place.

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill since I last visited which mustve been about four years ago. I ordered the calamari, tamarind duck and prawn crackers and out of those three things the prawn crackers were my favourite. My friend and I both ordered cocktails and we both felt like they served us juice in a fancy glass. I wont be returning.

Excellent service from Andrew. The flavours of the dishes were great. A bit pricey for the portion size, but the BLC discount definitely helped. Great value for the kids menu. The Pork riblets(small plate) were my favourite - full of flavour and falls of the bone!

I recently visited Busaba with my friends, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated in a lovely spot. Anil was attentive without being intrusive, and he made sure that everything was perfect throughout the meal. He was quick to offer thoughtful recommendations and provided us with detailed explanations of the menu. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the dishes were evident, making it easier for us to choose the perfect meal.

The VG Pad Thai is very sub-par. £14 for a half portion of the normal size which you would get anywhere else. Also too vinegary. I felt like I was eating a takeaway. I asked for some chilli flakes (which is a standard thing any Thai restaurant would have), they didnt have. Gave me some chilli oil which I didnt want as the pad thai was already very oily. I asked for some chopped fresh chilli and I got that, great! Service was good, prompt and friendly. I ordered a Rose and they gave me a Red, told them so they immediately rectified. Nice decor and vibe. But I wont come back as the pad thai was not even an alright and was overpriced. No photo as didnt want to take any after seeing the small portion. (Now going to find another place to eat and spotted another good one close-by!!! Stupid me didnt google map before coming in!!!)
A disappointing experience, the tables were sticky and not properly cleaned. It was very difficult to get anyones attention, on eof my party ended up having to grab the cleaning bottle and a cloth herself to wipe down the table. Service was slow. Cutlery was asked for multiple times, food was brought out warm as opposed to hot and by the time we got cutlery the food was essentially cold. Another member of my party had to wait another 30 min for her food whilst the rest of us ate- this also had to be asked about multiple times. Starters came out after the mains. For a restaurant that is constantly raved about this was a poor performance/service. It felt like most of the time we were been blown off by the servers, except for a female server at the end. Honestly the worst experience ever Ive had at a restaurant.
The table was very sticky. When asked the table to be cleaned . No one came. After 20min I got up to clean table myself to find out it s water inside their cleaning product. Waiter didn t serve us on time, food was cold to 1:30mins after we ordered. They forgot my friends meal. The service was terrible

This restaurant has great atmosphere and lighting and great for group settings. Alongside Anil, the other servers are also happy to to genuinely help with a smile, which is rarely seen in London nowadays. Definitely gatekeeping.

Went with my sister in law for dinner Friday eve. The food came out in good time and was good . Ordered the ginger beef with rice - was delicious. Didnt have to wait long for food drinks. The service was also good - couldnt fault it. The design of the restaurant- was sharing tables which I didnt mind because the tables were huge so you couldnt hear the other customers

Yesterday we had an office gathering at Busaba for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of flavors that everyone enjoyed. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service provided by Anil, who was attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed. We couldn t be happier with the overall experience and highly recommend Busaba for both the food and the outstanding service.

Had the aubergine curry. Hardly any aubergine in it with filler of raw red onion to bulk it out. Tasty but inadequate in portion size. Its disrespectful to customers to offer so little for the price they charge. Loved this chain for years, but doubt Ill come back. Also waited 30 mins for the bill. Asked 2 different people, and in the end decided to get up and go to the till to pay to avoid waiting any longer.

My partner s dish had large chunks of raw onion in, and our mains came a long time before our drinks and starters. When the waitress asked if everything was okay, we told her about these problems and she dismissively said that maybe next time they could do better. A bit strange.

I went for my partners birthday and am so grateful we happened to come here. Everything was amazing, the flavor and quality of the food, the atmosphere, and most of all the service. Our friendly server Anil made sure we were taken care of and that we had everything we needed from the moment we sat down. Him and another server even sang happy birthday to my partner! Avoid if you like real Thai food!!! Sitting in this restaurant right now and struggling to enjoy the absolute worst Thai food ever. Most unauthentic, uninspired, fake excuse for a Thai experience I ve ever known. Tom Yam without galanga or Kafir lime, or any other Herbs?!? Pad Krapow without any Krapow leaves, garlic or oyster sauce?!?! Nice decor and staff but really bad Thai food :( Such a shame as I thought the Busaba brand was quite renowned for authenticity.

Food well presented does not mean good food or service. Prices are abusive and not reasonable. Around £15 for a small bowl of curry beef and extra £4.5 for a small bowl of boiled white rice just not right. Staff did not ask how the food was or offered more drinks. They just dropped the food on the table (late for a couple of guests). Food is nothing authentic but pretending to be trendy Asian / Thai food. How is it possible that people like this place!?

Id suggest you avoid this restaurant and spend your money elsewhere. From a recent visit, every restaurant metric was disappointing. Lengthy wait for food and they want to charge service charge, which didnt taste very Thai and very expensive for Stratford and my daughters dish had hair in it. Best you go to Soho or elsewhere and have some authentic Thai food, rather than some cowboy Indians attempting to serve up such dishes.
