First time to try this Thai resto in Downtown and It was so terrific! The food is not salty, chicken wings is crispy, fresh rolls is lovely! A Big shout out too to Ishan and princess and the other server guy (forgot his name) who absolutely serve me very well! A must to go resto in Downtown! Food

The food is spectacular, the service goes above and beyond and the atmosphere is intimate but fun. I had a wonderful evening there and can t wait to go back again. Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating - we had several different food allergies and they made it all work beautifully.

We love Thaifoon. The food quality is consistently good, they are really good with accommodating picky kids preferences and the food is delicious.

I ordered stir fry from here and they either forgot to cook my vegetables or they just serve raw veggies in their stir frys. I m so disappointed. No one wants to eat raw onions, peppers, broccoli etc in a warm stir fry. I wouldn t come back.

This restaurant is NOT safe for people with allergies. I told the staff I had a severe peanut allergy, and ate dinner safely. However, when they brought it to the back to put it in a takeout container, it must have been contaminated. I ate it for lunch the next day and had a full anaphylactic reaction and was in the hospital for 8 hours. They either contaminated my food or gave me someone else s food, not sure which one is worse. The staff knew how severe by allergy was and were incompetent, leading me to an extremely severe reaction where I could barely breathe for hours. DO NOT come here if you have an allergy and want to be safe.

Pretty underwhelming food. Their drink menu advertises a Pina Colada that s made with real coconut milk and pineapple but then I see a Pina Colada mix and Del Monte pineapple juice. Got wine instead.

This business leaves a big mess around their garbage bins every week on the street behind heir Dundas location, Carling St. downtown. It is pretty awesome of them to make the whole street stink of rotten food but lucky for them I am nice enough to clean it up when I can so no one else and their dogs have to deal with mess and smell.

The food is good, theres no doubt about that. But the serving size is inconsistent, therefore the overall value for price paid is questionable. The last time I ate there I felt like the portion was decent, and tonight I felt like I got completely ripped off. This was also at Sunfest I should add, so the prices are jacked up as it is (for everyone). I got fooled into buying their special plate, but hardly got any pad thai with it. They certainly ripped us off with portion size. Always better to be generous with the portions, or youll get reviews like this. I see others have said this also. Ill never go back now because of this negative experience.

I don t know what s going on. How does my order get picked up by the wrong driver. It is 8:12pm now, still not here and it should have been dropped off at 7:55pm. Really unfortunate because the downtown location has much better food than the Masonville location.

We went to thaifoon for dinner before seeing a show Friday. The staff were friendly and the food tasted good. We had the peanut pasta and it was noticeably smaller in portion size than the last time I went. I had tofu and my friend had chicken. Overall a yummy meal. Delicious cocktails, food 50/50, Tom Yam is a very small portion, and in general does not correspond to what you posted on the photo on Instagram, from seafood there are only 3 shrimps for which they take extra money, BBQ ribs are very tasty. Went out for a birthday dinner for my hubby and with some friends. We skipped out on the cocktails but from other tables they looked delicious and I really wished we ordered a few. In terms of food, we each ordered different dishes and all of them were delicious. I got the street-style pad thai which was really good especially with the peanuts and my hubby got the green curry which he also really enjoyed. The staff were really nice and gave the table some fried ice cream for dessert to celebrate my hubby s birthday (I thought this was really sweet of them). As a heads up, I will say that the portions sizes were a little small but for their price, it was fair/cheaper than other restaurants. Overall, the service was good but the restaurant was small with few tables so I recommend you make a reservation rather than trying to walk-in.

Service was great but the food was disappointing and overpriced. I ordered fresh shrimp rolls (2) and dynamite shrimp. I drank water - my bill was $40. The dynamite shrimp was so dry and had absolutely no favour - despite having dynamite sauce on it. It taste exactly like the frozen breaded shrimp you d find in the back of your own freezer. The fresh roll was basically a giant cucumber quarter with a small about of spring mix and a tad of shrimp. It was really disappointing - I had order two very basic items.

Insanely good fried rice (requested without peppers and with extra chilli), much more authentic taste than anything Ive ever had in Canada. Iced tea was also very nice.

Very cozy yet modern place. The food was fresh and very tasty. We got the Pad Thai and the Peanut noodles with a fresh spring ro ad an appetizer. Can recommend all of it! The employees were kind, quick yet not invasive. Well definitely come back!

My 20-year-old daughter and I had dinner here before a concert in London Ontario on April 17th. They took a reservation via email changed it when the concert was postponed to a later date, and provided a wonderful dining experience the night we were there. They were very tuned into their guests - the background music for the evening was all Noah Kahan songs! Our cocktails, two appetizers, and an entree that we shared were all delicious.

The food is awesome and the service was great. We also appreciated the cozy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Plenty of good dishes to choose from. Me and my bois went in to celebrate and ordered different dishes and shared. Its in downtown and has outdoor seating in summer which can be a plus point. However, parking is difficult in this alleyway. Still recommend this place and the food.

Best Thai in the city.

We came here for a dinner a few days back, the food was great and the portions were plenty, we have been to the Kitchner location and heard about this place from a friend , the service and cocktails were super ! We will be back soon for sure.

Went on January 29th and had an amazing experience. Service was incredibly efficient and friendly, and the fresh rolls and peanut pasta were incredible. Many vegan/ vegetarian options, server was knowledgeable about menu ingredients as well. Can t wait to come back!

This is my first time at Thai Foon restaurant at CF Masonville Place ever since the former Nando s restaurant closed. The full menu is on the QR Code, and the paper menu the staffs gives you are the main dishes. The Pad Thai is good, so does their skewers. If you go for their Pad Thai; I recommend the Street Pad Thai. I heard the lamb is good for paying $30, but just for a heads up it may not be too filling of its portion but you are paying for good quality vegetables and lamb. The Thai curry is decent, and I prefer the yellow one. The green and the red are the more spicy curry dishes. The Thai iced tea is good, but it is a sweeter drink. The food is a decent size portion not too little or not too big. To get inside Thai Foon, you have to enter their restaurant door not the mall s door close to SportChek and Happiness on the Richmond Street side. The atmosphere looks nice. The chairs and the restroom have a nice design to it. The staffs are friendly and knowledgeable to work in a restaurant industry. I like their food! I will visit again soon.

Thaifoon is great when the food is consistent with their quality standard. We have been ordering for the past 3 years and have found their take out to be hit or miss from both locations. When it s good it s one of the best pad Thai in the city but when it s bad it s bland and lacking flavour.

Incredible food. Red Curry is exceptional, so creamy and flavorful ! foon satay is a MASSIVE SERVING with huge chicken breast pieces, couldnt even finish it all. The shrimp or chicken comes fully loaded too, they didnt skimp at all. Will be back !! Parking: They give you the address for the back entrance when picking up orders, so parking is very accessible.

The food was amazing and the quantity was good too. Both the chilli chicken & red curry tasted nice. Crepe was so so. On the other hand, the customer service was extremely poor. My wife & I entered the restaurant at 6ish and got free at 7:15. We had our meal in 20 min. The waiter took almost 10 min to bring the menu, close to 35 min for the food & 10 minutes to bring the bill. We wanted to order something else from the menu, so we waived at the male waiter at least twice. He nodded and we thought he would come, but on both occasions he didn t. Never apologises for it. No explanation. Even at the end he did not give an explanation as to why he did not come. It would have been better if we had ordered food on one of the food apps. I have never waited so long for a menu & a bill to come. This was insane.

I thought the menu was overpriced and uninspired. Heard good things but was ultimately disappointed. Service was meh, ambience was ok.

Food was excellent, sercice was good. Modern aesthetic. Portions were adequate, in some cases generous. The coconut soup was a mix of creamy coconut and warm spice, capsaicin heat with flavourful smokiness. Hint of cilantro, not tio much. Well balanced and served steamy hot. The satay sauce srrved with the crispy xhicken skewers was delightful, dense and delicious and you can never get enough of it. Tidy amd friendly woth an air of finer dining. I didnt care for the metal chopsticks though the aesthetic is very fine they were awkward to use. Blame my western raised fingers I suppose, but I didnt care for them. It was an afternoon visit for a late lunch and it was nit busy at all. Parking downtown was nightmarish, finding the place awkward ,we walked right past it looking for it specifically the three of us. I dont blame the restaurant for this,just an observation. Once inside its a nice experience and Id eat there again. Probably one of the best Thai food experiences in London, but not THE best. The aesthetic is date night, business lunch. Staff attitude at first impressions (maitreD) was less comfortable friendly and more of that cold old formality of fine dining mindset, that they are doing you a favour by letting you in the door... Young lady server was a friendlier interactive experience and saved the dining experience for us on a whole,.so did the kitchen staff. The food was quite good. The plates arrived HOT and fresh and pleasantly arranged. Formally trained kitchen staff was the immediate impression. Our server knew the menu items intimately and was patient with our fumbling over language barriers. All in all a good eating experience. Would I line up to eat here, perhaps. Would I call ahead for reservations for a larger group, yes. LGBTQ+ friendly, yes that was our perception and experience. Confusingly the washroom is behind the bar by the kitchen door but on the main level, so thats a bonus for accessibility. Though sadly not what Id call wheelchair friendly. We didnt sample the bartenders skills this visit, perhaps next.

I really like thaifoon. I am obsessed with the street style paid Thai and the Tom Yum Soup. I do wish you offered a large Tom Yum Soup size. The restaurant has great food but it is a bit more expensive compared to other Thai restaurants. I wasn t impressed with the portion size of one of the currys or its portion size. I got and would not get it again. I think the noodle dishes are the tastiest and better value. Some of my other favourites include the peanut pasta, drunkard noodle. I recommend making a reservation in the future because last time I was told the wait would be an hour and half (masonville location). We will be back!

Disappointed cause they used to use a bigger lunchbox for UberEats order but they switched to a smaller lunchbox with less portion recently. I am a return customer so I notice this kind of stuff. Unless they get this issue resolved, I will just go somewhere else. The extra star is for their consistent customer service but fix the food portion issue, you will get it right.

Weve been eating Thaifoon food for years, probably spending thousands on their food. The food is good. This review is not about that. It is about how much they (dont) value their customers. Weve eaten in, taken out, and used doordash for delivery. Today, we made a mistake of going to the thaifoon website and ordering from there (apparently through uber eats). We ordered 6 meals, each with something extra, and two soups. Despite ordering meals with meat, every signle one was delivered without any protein (even those asking for extra chicken or beef). I called the restaurant as soon as we received the delivery and their response could be summed up as Too bad, so sad. They tried nothing to resolve the situation or help me do so with uber. I could understand if this were the case with some other service that didnt originate on their own website, but at some point you have to take the responsibility for the content that you provide on your own digital properties. This has been a highly disappointing experience that will ensure that my family and I will no longer patronize Thaifoon. The food can be amazing, but if a restaurant shows no regard for its patrons whatsoever, it does not deserve to be around.

We tried many of the appetizers here and they were all very good. The street style pad thai was easily the best pad thai Ive had. Even though they were completely full our server was friendly and attentive. He was very interested in our opinion of the food which shows they care about their customers.

we tried taifun on Dundas when it first opened-- which is good number of years ago. The experience was so bad on all levels that we didnt bother to go back. As a result we hadnt visited the Masonville location until about 3 weeks ago when a friend asked us to join for a work meeting there. The food was very nice, beautiful presented and the server was friendly and attentive. I went back on a whim after a long work day. I ordered for take out, the same dishes as a week before. well-- the green curry was a completely different dish from the week before: different veggies, mainly coarsely sliced onions...completely different taste as if a completely different chef came in with his own, different green curry (paste). The Stir Fry Thai Basil beef was more or less flavourless, unless you bit on a thai basil leaf... -- a good restaurant in my book is where you are not impressed once but where you can count on consistently. -- I guess Quin Nhi for the win-- they have been superbly consistent for the better part of 15 years that we have been going there. Too bad Taifoon cant be our other to-go-to place.

The food is NOT CONSISTENT! I have had both dine in, and take out experiences at this Dundas location. The first time I order something it is NEVER the same the second time around. Ordered Pad See Ew once, and it was pretty decent, a bit skimpy on the vegetables but there was a good portion of noodles and the sauce was nice. Ordered a second time a couple weeks later and it was totally the opposite. Hardly any noodles, mostly vegetables that were still raw, and the sauce was greasy. Ordered the same salads more than once and they re never the same portion size. Once I complained about the inconsistency and their excuse was that were busy. So this is a restaurant that operates on the basis of NOT being prepared for a busy night. Oh, and that excuse was told to me by their manager.

Their Pad Thai is absolutely amazing. I ve dined in twice and ordered several times on Uber eats and my experience dining in has always been amazing. The best I ve had in North America.

The vibe of the restaurant definitely masked the quality of the food. Golden shrimp appetizer was flavour less and lackluster. Thai green curry had over cooked shrimp that were so hard and rubberized. Curry had no other flavour beside green chillies. The quality of food here was matched by frozen food at the grocery store

Before going to the restaurant, I googled the restaurant. I was very surprised to find the online menu, and the menu at the restaurant had very different prices. I mentioned this to the waiter, and he advised the menu I saw would have been the google menu, and it hadnt been updated. I found it hard to believe that the Google menu had not been updated, but the online restaurant menu was.... frankly, I only saw one website with the menu options. You would think the waiter would have honored the prices that continue to be posted online. The food was flavourful, looked fresh and was served relatively quickly. Convenient place if near the London Courthouse.

Always go here with my family! Amazing food and definitely one of the best restaurants I ve ever been to. They have foods ranging from mild to very spicy if you re into that. (Be careful ordering the really spicy options). The Thai iced tea is very nice as well although a bit pricey. Great options at thaifoon and a must try if you ve never been!

Was my first time ordering from here. 10/10. I had the pad tai, was great. Huge portion, came hot and exactly how I wanted it. Very generous with the ingredients. Was happy to see lots of peanuts on top! But what blew me away was the fresh wrap! Best I ve ever had, Their peanut sauce is out of this world. I can not wait to order again.

Amazing food and good prices. Dining in provides a charming atmosphere in downtow London. Do not order from the apps: something is always wrong since the pandemic. Been dining in before and after the pandemic. The menu and the renovations are a hit! I always take my friends here when they visit London since 2015.

Great Thai food. The server made the experience great, she was super accomodating and helpful regarding ensuring the food choices were gluten free. Dietary restrictions: The menu does not list gluten free options but the server carefully took the time and care to explain that most dishes could be made gluten free.

Chilli chicken was superb, but pad thai was average to me. Overall, it was a good take out experience.

I would recommend to who wants to try new dishes with a lot of flavours then try it with this believe you are not wasting your money.

Ordered take away and there was broken glass in the pad thai. I understand that things can happen like this and they can also be avoided with proper kitchen practices. If they re ok with taking the risk that glass may have landed in a meal what else you ok with taking chances on. Therefore one star rating awarded. Nobody else ate the remainder of their meal as a precaution. Disappointing!

I hosted a dinner for the Western Cyber Society welcome dinner at Thaifoon Downtown and the service was INCREDIBLE. They were able to service a massive crowd and deliver the most delicious food imaginable in a timely manner. Thaifoon delivers fine dining quality food for reasonable prices. Thank you team Thaifoon, we will be back! Vegetarian options: This restaurant has many vegetarian options on the menu and most dishes can accommodate vegetarian options. I ordered the peanut pasta with chicken which can be made with tofu or no additional protein. Wheelchair accessibility: The venue had incredible interactivity, while being on one floor at the same level as the street and with all tables able to accommodate accessible seating.

I was invited to dinner here for the Western Cyber Society and the food, service, and atmosphere were top notch! I got the must-try chilli chicken and it tasted incredible. Thank you Thaifoon Team for servicing the dinner, will definitely be coming back soon :)

Loved the experience. Nice place close to Budweiser Gardens. We ordered the Street Style Pad Thai as well as the Chilly Chicken. Both of them were delicious. We got the Thai Hot variant of the noodles, which was a slight bit too hot for me. But, overall an enjoyable meal.

I had a fabulous lunch out with a friend the other day. The young man serving was terrific and took the time to offer recommendations. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was a little dark in the restaurant but that is the only minor negative thing. Thank you so much. Will be back.

We had an amazing dining experience at Thaifoon Downtown. We had a last-minute plan for our grad celebration and decided to try Thai cuisine. My friends and I love it and think this is one of the best restaurants in London. It has a great ambiance, exceptional food with authentic Thai flavors, and excellent customer service. The food arrived with nothing written on the containers so we had no idea whos was whos. The peanuts they put on where so crushed up it was like a powder and made the pasta very dry and pasty. The pasta was also all cut up like a child was going to eat it. One order was missing the vegetables which are an extra charge, and also one order paid to add shrimp and it was 3 little pieces. Very disappointing, and wont be recommending or ordering from there again.

Dundas street restaurant. Ordered street pad Thai, with chicken and hot. Hubby ordered pad Thai with chicken and med. The Street Pad Thai ended up being regular, with beef and mild. Usually I order from Masonville and never an issue, awesome service, accuracy, they even label the food so we know whose is whose. The person never read back the order when I called it in, I did repeat it to make sure she understood,as I only ever order chicken or veggie. So paid more money and it is not edible.

I typically LOVE thaifoon and Ill go to the restaurant or order out to eat. The vegetarian options are usually wonderful. However, I ordered peanut panko crusted tofu for delivery the other day and when I bit into one of the tofu pieces there was salmon in it! Im not sure how this happens but its really not safe for vegetarians or someone with a seafood allergy that this contamination happens... I hope this was a rare occurrence and not something that often happens. EDIT: The restaurant reached out to resolve the situation promptly and ensures it will not happen again.

Visited this location with my girlfriend. Service was excellent and made this an experience to remember. Had the street style pad thai and will definitely be returning for more!

My husband and I use to love coming here. It was our go to place for Thai food, but as of recent it has been quite disappointing. We understand that since covid all the prices had to go up but at least the food portion should be consistent throughout. We order dinner for two for close to $45-50 bucks and the portion size was so small the plate was literally half the size, the Pai Thai was not as flavourful as before and the portion of rice was missing. We were hungry and decided to get something else to eat on top of that. It was overall very disappointing can t say we will come back again. EDIT: The owners reached out to us and tried to rectify what had happened and as long term customers we really appreciate them reaching out to us to make things right.

I bought the chicken pad thai and there was just so much sweet/sour sauce. I like noodles, but with so much of the same sauce and not enough vegetables or other tastes to break up the sameyness, I just got mouthful after mouthful of saucy noodles. The chicken was surprisingly bland despite its thorough cooking, so in the middle of my saucy noodles I got some dry chicken. The staff was helpful and gave me some pickled spices near the end, but that didnt fundamentally change the experience. There were some cilantro, beansprouts, roasted peanuts and chives mixed into the noodles, but not enough to offer a break from the sauce.

Resteraunt tells delivery drivers to come to the back to pick up food. I came to the back and saw roaches crawling around their kitchen. I informed a staff member and he saw it, killed it and then just continued to work like nothing happened. Beware before coming to buy food!

The best Thai food in town. The whole experience from start to finish was great. Our waitress - Alex was friendly and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent service. Foods are not bad but my suggestion is to try some common acceptable food without wired spice!

Very authentic and rich Thai food.

Disappointed. This makes two disappointing experiences in past year. Last night, made reservations and show up table available but it s reserved (but I guess not for me!). Was Asked to sit at bar - no info re how long to wait, no offer of water etc nothing. Saw others arrive and left standing. Also appeared to be others frustrated with slow food service. Waited 10 minutes and left. The reserved table was still empty when we left. Thaifoon - you re off the list. Wish you all the best with your business and hope my experiences are exceptions.

Not alot to the veg fresh roll..soup came in a small container but then it was only half full...not kidding.. 23.00 next day went to thahn kieu and got a massive soup 4x bigger and fresh rolls much bigger and more ingredients for 22.00.

Great food. Fantastic drinks. Fun staff Vegetarian options: Most items can be made vegetarian or vegan if asked. Kid-friendliness: Staff were great with a baby who was sat across from us. They are sure the baby was very happy.

Not sure if we got a bad batch or rotten meat. We ordered their street style Thai and it tasted like cat food / very off and disgusting. We go to Toronto often and eat at plenty of different Thai. Viet. Chinese and Japanese places in and around GTA and London. Never in my life did I just spit food out and throw up but I did. We want to give this place another chance due to the reviews but have been reluctant to try it again.

When visiting London, we made a mistake and ordered food from a different Thaifoon location. We didn t realise until we went to pick up our order from here. However, the staff were all so nice about it, and offered to make our dish at this location instead. Shoutout to them, sorry I didn t catch their names! The food was good too. :)

I can confidently say this was one of the best Thai restaurants I have been too and that it was an excellent dining experience at this location. Me and a friend came for a birthday lunch and were greeted by Our server Omi. He was fantastic and gave us amazing recommendations. We began with the Fresh rolls which is an amazing vegetarian option with the Tom Yum soup which was very flavourful and hardy. As an entree we were suggested the Drunkard Noodles with Thai ice tea and a mango mojitos. The entire meal was delicious and timely with a total wait time of 10 minutes for the appetizer and 25 for the main course. The staff was also notably worth mentioning as they were professional and welcoming. The ambiance of the restaurant was intimate and classy. It is worth noting that this location had non alcoholic and halal options as well as vegetarian options. Overall 10/10 experience with amazing service and a delicious flavour pallet - would absolutely recommend -L

I ve eaten here and the Masonville location dozens of times and it s a favourite. However, I ordered delivery and got my usual street style pad Thai and it was unbelievably salty and vinegary? Disappointed because it s normally a winner. Something must be off. Called the store and they sent me a new one that was perfect. Best service ever!

Just had food delivered to my house. Revolting and completely inedible. The spring rolls tasted like a foot, the pad Thai tasted like rotten fish, the wonton filling had the consistency of sawdust, and the mixed vegetable Curry consisted of only green beans. Really really disappointing.

Amazing food every time we come here or order from here. This time around, there was an incorrect order delivered through Ubereats. I called the restaurant, explained the mix-up on one of the meal items and they delivered the correct order within a half hour, no questions asked. Exceptional service.
