I ordered Pad Kee Mao which is a spicy dish. But this blew my head. I do eat spicy and when I mentioned it s too spicy. They said yes it s meant to be. I ve had this dish hundreds of times and it s never been that spicy. But mums dishes were great. So I dropped stars for that. They also only take cash but allowed us to do bank transfer. My advice is tell them how spicy you want it whether they ask or not.

Amazing food, with an extraordinary attitude of staff. The staff made the basement ready for us in a very short time as we were a bigger crowd. They accepted our BYOB request and The food were awesome and we could not find a single thing to get dissatisfied. Overall- an amazing place and people.. A must recommend from me...

I had great food here: chicken satay and chicken panang. Prices are reasonable and service was relatively quick. I will say their preference seems to be cash and there seems to be a reluctance to accept card. I would come back here.

Enjoyed this restaurant! Masood was the perfect server and was personable and kind. Ordered the pad Thai with chicken and prawns and it was very delicious. Well seasoned and bursting with flavour. Will recommend to my friends and looking forward to visiting again!

Tom yum soup and buffalo wings(chicken wings) with summer hot sauce was insane. We had massaman curry and loved it for mains. We had chocolate fudge pudding and it was great for chocolate lovers.

Fantastic food and service. The Pad thai noodles is highly recommended. The restaurent uses many authentic thai herbs and spices and maintains the standard in every dish. Hidden gem of Stratford area. I have tried the drunken noodles in many london Thai chains. But the value provided here with good portion vs price is unmatched.

I love thai food and this place did not disappoint. It was a quick pick for us after shopping at Westfield. The food was cooked fresh, aromatic and really good in quantity. The buffalo wings and red thai curry was so good. The peanut sauce used on the chicken satay was lip- smacking. Above all, the place serves halal food. So that was a big plus point as well

We visited yesterday to celebrate my sister s 60th birthday and there is not one thing I could criticise. Fantastic staff from start to finish, fully attentive and helpful. Fantastic food - the best Thai food I have ever had. It was fragrant and full of flavour and not shy of any vegetables or meat, it was extremely wholesome. Fantastic relaxed environment but yet full of atmosphere, the perfect combination. Highly recommend. Wish I lived closer so I could go more often!

So this review is a year late, but on our visit from Canada- it was pretty much the best Thai food we had. Portions were big, staff were friendly and we went there twice in a week s stay - loved it!!

The food was great. The downstairs seating is nice. We had a lovely time down there and there was no pressure for us to leave, even after being there for 5hrs+ I had a totally enjoyable experience. My only negative thing about the night was that I would recommend more care is taken when cooking and serving the food, as twice hair was found in separate dishes. Went here early so plenty of seating. CASH ONLY - had to run to nearest cash point at Morris ons before ordering but could have done a bankers draft. Had the satay chicken and pad tai gai for main. Great, tasty food at reasonable price. Would definitely eat here again.

tiny place, was a little noisy when there was a big group also eating there. otherwise atmosphere was average. mocktails were nice, quite surpsingly and they have a good range to choose from. we ordered special flat noodle dish and it was very flavoursome but lacked in amount of meat in the dish. I had maybe 5 small cubes of chicken and about the same number of King prawns. King prawn amount was fine but could have done with more chicken In the noodle dish. really nice flavours though. starters were basic, one thing wr ordered was the wonton which was dry and underwhelming. be warned they only accept cash.

The worst food I have had in a while. I ordered a T-bone steak medium. They sent me a well done steak. It was drier than the Sahar dessert. On top of that the waiters dropped the sauce on my jacket. The staff didn t apologise and didn t not care. Worst management and service. The manager was not interested to help rectify the issue. I rather go steak out in Stratford.

Absolutely amazing food. Service was great. Went in yesterday ordered calamari and prawn tempura for starters. Ordered valentines lamb pie which came with 2 sides of my choice, sweet potato chips and coleslaw. My partner ordered lambchops which came with chips. Everything was cooked to perfection will definitely be going again!!

Disappointed with food and no card payment

Food was surprisingly delicious seeing that they didnt just have Thai on the menu, but other food items like steak, burgers, etc. The Thai food had a bit of a desi touch to it but overall quite delicious and spicy (just the way I like it).

Just had delicious food with best service

Nice place, clean and nicely decorated, fresh food cooked quickly and served hot, reasonably priced for how good quality it was. Spring rolls were delicious, and the pad thai was delicious though spicier than I can handle (my fault I have low tolerance, still delicious) and the waiters were friendly and happy to box up my left overs. I m not from the area so I took a gamble on this place and it paid off, definitely recommend.

They should have stated more clearly that they take CASH ONLY. I had to run to an ATM in the cold to pay. Also, they barely put any chicken in their chicken curry, way too small amount. Besides this, the sparkling water is almost like still water.

My girlfriend got food poisoning from this place. Deliveroo reported the incident to the restaurant and I was told they would be in touch, we never heard anything. If they couldn t be bothered to contact me, imagine what they couldn t be bothered to do when preparing your food. Avoid if you don t want to sit on the toilet with a bucket in your hands for a few days.

Today I went to Thai and pie shop and I ordered thai soup and onthon. The food was not good. Onthon is overcooked and thai soup is not tasty.. I am really disappointed.

Rice was extra for £3.50 when I went to pay - a small bowl of plain jasmine rice that was overly watery and not well cooked for £3.5 Visited London a few times but not sure if this is the norm here? At least be aware if you re a tourist. Also the place is cash only

So looking forward to some highly reviewed Thai food after a transatlantic flight and a 20 minute walk, I sit down and see a sign that says cash only . I left. This is the 21st century guys and unless you ate attempting to avoid tax, this is not in my humble opinion a good business decision. I left. In all fairness I do want to come back and try your food but after 40 years of running my own businesses I unfortunately have a low tolerance for non nonsense business strategies. It wasnt too busy when we went. I dont know if Id call it Thai though- just as the other reviews have hinted. Their menu definitely offers quite a bit. I like that the veg options came with tofu I got a panang veg curry with fried rice. I enjoyed the curry. And dessert was good Vegetarian options: Quite good considering you can get most things with veg

Portion, presentation, and, most importantly, taste are all key considerations. The personnel was really attentive and courteous. I wish their menu had a few more vegetarian options. This is the best Thai restaurant I have ever visited in UK. Their chef is from Thai whose cooking is fantastic. The taste is great and they do not compromise on localising the taste at all. I strongly recommend this restaurant to those who is looking for genuine Thai food.

Simply spectacular. Wow one of the best finds. I m a huge foodie and this restaurant make it right to the top of my favourite Thai restaurants. All the dishes were very authentic and very flavoursome. The only downside I could think of is that they don t accept card payments, cash only. The food is all halal and good portion size too.

Thank you to the kind gentlemen of Thai Pie Stratford. Your hospitality, delicious food, and kindness should be known to the world! I visited Thai Pie after 12hrs of travel and it was almost closing time. I was exhausted, hungry and in tears because my phone wouldnt allow me to make transactions online, I had no cash, and had (stupidly) left my card at my accommodation after a long travel day. The gentlemen were extremely patient with me as I tried every payment method on my phone that just wouldnt work. After keeping them after closing time, they were still so kind and calm in trying to help me. One of the owners told me I could come back to pay the following day when I was more relaxed and rested. I couldnt have more gratitude for their kindness. After leaving the restaurant my partner eventually answered the phone and I was able to use his card to pay online. The food was piping hot, DELICIOUS, and was a great serving size. I didnt dine inside but it had a great ambience and atmosphere. Lots of vegetarian options. I couldnt be more appreciative for the kindness of these gentlemen. I will be sure to dine there again the next time I travel to England. Thanks from Australia

i was there as a delivery driver. They didnt bother my order. They said i have to wait for the order next 5 mins then i said okay . After 10 mins i was asking them wheres my order they said again i have to wait another 5mins after that they taking 30mins as result its not ready yet. i was really upset and i canceled my order.They are very slow service at all. they using the bad language as well.

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for years, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. The chicken wings I ordered were stale and had a disgusting taste. I opted not to consume the red curry or coconut rice after eating the chips. Unfortunately, about half an hour later, my mom vomited, and I experienced severe stomach cramps. This has never happened before with this restaurant. When I raised my concerns with the manager/owner, I was met with unprofessional behavior and a refusal to take responsibility. He claimed to know his product, but it is shocking that he lacked the basic understanding that mistakes can occur. I have never complained about the food here before. Furthermore, in a previous incident a year and a half ago, the restaurant failed to deliver our food on time ( he was 90 min later), when I cancelled the order due to work commitments (meetings etc) he initially offered £10 off the bill for the inconvenience, he later denied the discount and offered only 10%. It was a frustrating experience dealing with his poor customer service. I am deeply disappointed by this recent encounter and the managers attitude. Such unprofessionalism and lack of accountability do not align with good customer service practices. It is evident that this establishment falls short in meeting basic expectations. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to consider their options carefully.

It was lovely. The starters and mains were so good and plentiful that we couldnt fit in dessert. However we had dessert boxed up and took it back to our hotel - delicious. A nod to the staff, they were brilliant. Food arrived promptly, was served with care and everyone was solicitous. The prices were very reasonable, we paid cash as advised cards were not accepted, having been told in advance. We took our own alcohol to add to our mocktales. Wouldnt hesitate to go back. Very nice Thai cooking by Thai chef , the peanut and coconut milkshake was very tasty.only problem the starter turned up after the main and the waiter kept forgetting some of the drinks,but all in all very good quality food served up in a reasonable time..cash only,dont take bank card.

They have good curry selection; red, green, massaman and more. I got the pad med mamuang with chicken and it was so packed with taste and nutrition, I loved it. They offer tom yum (soups), pies, burgers, satay and more. The service was really great; the waiting staff attended to my needs and set up a great dining experience. Thai cuisine sits at the heart of the overall South-East Asian cuisine realm, with some noticeable Indian and Oriental influences. This restaurant really packs-in a lot of flavour, so I think if youre a fan of South-East cuisine but really want some more OOMPH, this place is good for you. Vegetarian options: There are vegetable versions of most of the dishes, however, being that its Thai cuisine, first make sure that theyre vegetarian, not using ingredients like fish oil or shrimp sauce, as is sometimes common in South-East Asian cuisine.

At this restaurant we had very good Thai food; a curry and fish. Delicious. The dessert was insane: sticky toffee pudding. Moreover, the service was very friendly. They dont serve alcoholic drinks, but we were particularly in the mood for good food ... and thats what we got. Close to Maryland station on the Elisabeth Line towards Shenfield. Highly recommended! Dont forget to use an ATM, they only accept cash. Vegetarian options: Almost all dishes were also offered vegetarian.

A little gem hidden away from the busy streets of main Stratford area. Highly recommended for good quality Thai food, filled full of flavour. We decided to try a number of starters, the Satay Gai is a must. Main dishes are also really good from the Pad Thai to the Currys. Whats not to love. Penaang Praen curry, perfect amount of heat, creaminess of the coconut lovely crunch of the veg. Soft fluffy hot rice. Pure pleasure will definitely be back with friends and family. Great value for money as well.

I recently indulged in the chicken and mushroom as well as the chicken and bean pies at this delightful pie restaurant. Both were nothing short of amazing! The crust was perfectly golden, and the fillings were rich and flavorful. The mashed potato accompanying the pies was wonderfully creamy, complementing the savory goodness of the pies. To top it off, the gravy was a burst of flavor that added an extra layer of deliciousness to the entire experience. Highly recommended for pie enthusiasts!

The best Thai food Ive ever had in London

The most miserable Thai restaurant I ve ever been in. Poor welcome. No words. Just pointed to table. No atmosphere. Only 2 tables there but ages to place order. Food ok but certainly not cooked by Thai chef. Uber seemed busy which probably suits the mute non smiling staff. Visit again and recommend? NOPE

Delicious food, fresh and nicely spiced. Service is friendly and mostly efficient. Be aware that credit cards are not accepted and alcohol is not served (but you may bring your own beer or wine).

So I normally order via Uber eats but decided tonight as I was driving by will just go in and order and take home myself. Omg! The food was freshly cooked piping hot when I took home (10 mins away) and delicious. Their food is always top quality but having it so fresh just gave it that extra quality. The food is always tasty, flavoured well, generous portions and above all just worth it.

Both the Indiana pie I had and the Murraman curry my partner had were so so tasty!! Would definitely recommend. BYOB , so it s a great budget meal that you can rely on being top quality food
