Lokma Westfield in London

This is a vibrant restaurant; it has a DJ on Friday and Saturday evenings who played alot of R n B and Soul music that certainly has you bopping along. Our group of 3 women did not boom but we were kindly accommodated. Our waiter was exceptional! He paid some real attention to our orders and was prompt on making sure our drink glasses were topped-up! He was polite and courteous and this made our group feel really welcomed. We ordered a platter for around £65.00 and this was a generous serving that we each took a box home. The food is delicious - no complaints here! The music is load, so its a time for those who are in the party mood (not an intimate chat). The Dj is based upstairs and even though there was a small private party around x1 table on that whole floor, other people had to eat downstairs and no room to dance alittle... I suppose it is another example of a restaurant in the Westfield area that has a bizarre grey area between a restaurant and a night club!??? They also had a Belly-dancer performance who came around and engaged really well with the customers, very well-done. Parking: In Westfield car park.

Ive been here today with my mom and we both really enjoyed it! The food was yummy (my mom is very picky but she had no complaints and was very happy the entire time) and the service was very quick despite the busy restaurant. The team really looked after us and was very attentive on picking up cues. Which I found really sweet. We got some delicious complementary warm bread with 2 sauces and spiced olives at the very start after we ordered while we were waiting for the food! Definitely loved that as we were starving haha. The drinks arrived shortly after too. Everything we needed was delivered quickly. The food took around 20 minutes which was perfect as we were just finishing the bread. The meat was lovely and tender, the salads had lots of flavour and my mom said she loved the rice :) Eventually we got desserts after our table was cleaned up nicely. We had baklava and accidentally got künefe instead of the creme brulee. The Manager was brought to us. Lovely gentleman which I didnt get the name of. All I know is hes from Uzbekistan and quite handsome! (whaaaat...) He assured us the künefe would not disappoint even though it was a mistake and after trying it we loved it! Overall the experience was amazing and thank you very much for everybody on the team for looking after us tonight!

Lokma in Westfield Stratford-Went in person to prebook for 5 adults and a toddler.. manager advise its fine without even taking note of it Arrived later for dinner, manager says no place- when i said to him he agreed early, he denies and tried to say that i gave wrong info.. this is not the first time that it happened, only difference that the previous time he manage to find us a space while the food is lovely, its the worst customer service ever..there were more people behind me who advise they prebook as well only to be said that no reservation was made..

The servers and managers were very accommodating, with excellent customer service I was definitely satisfied. Went in on random as had Turkish cuisine before and loved it, so I will definitely be back if not for the food and/or atmosphere then the other things they offer. Had a lovely Turkish white wine so would definitely love to try their tea or coffee next time. And as an added plus they do parties, would love to have mine here this year as that pink tree is stunning.

The music was so loud on a Saturday night that I can barely hear my husband. Not a place for a romantic meal but great for parties. Food was delicious and love the shish kebabs.

First time here with my kids. Ordered kids menus, fish fingers were dark and burnt.. Didnt have time to get them to re do it. Free bread and dips were nice.. Kids wings meal was ok. The bald man that stands to welcome you bin is very unfriendly. No smile nothing. He insisted we sit in one table we wanted the one next to it and he said no. Then eventually key us. Was dead quiet anyway. Modt the Turkish staff are miserable and serious and sarcastic.. The Indian staff was more smiley but think he wanted a bigger top and soon after paying he did not smile at all and didnt say bye.. Unprofessional. The bald guy I said to him I want syrup separate for kunafa as we dont like too sweet. He insisted he cant do that.. I dont see why. He said they will put less and still was very sweet. Totally inflexible and smarmy guy. Would not return due to poor service. Daughters dessert came too late we had to cancel it. When we asked about menu items as we didnt know what it is he looked at us as if we are dumb.. Much better Turkish plaves to go to Avoid

Came from America with my friends from London to the bottomless brunch. Ibrahim was very attentive with making sure we got our drinks and the lamb ribs were absolutely delicious. I would definitely be back and recommend. The atmosphere and DJ were good too loved the music.

The perfect stop! Escape the hubbub of the shopping chaos and take a break in this hidden gem. Vibrant but not overloud! Good family vibe but cool for couples also. The menu is plentiful and the quality is far greater than the price would have you believe. Can t recommend it enough. Try everything! Twice!!!

Incredibly bad service - we arrived only for Shisha, to be condescendingly spoken to. The first time we gave our waiter a pass, even though when we asked for something he said I have two hands and they re full but his attitude continued. When we asked to take service charge off, he grinned at us asking if there was something wrong with the service. If the management happen to see this - our waiter served us for Shisha at approx 9pm on 11th September. We left with such a sour taste in our mouth and won t be returning, nor recommending to friends / family. FYI Shisha is outside unlike the picture which was taken inside.

Firstly they question disabled people for using the disabled toilets and try to send you upstairs. Secondly they added a £35 bottle of Chardonnay to my bill, and when I reviewed the bill and questioned the mystery item, they quickly removed it and pretended like it never happened. My guess, this is something of a regular occurrence. We re non drinkers and found this extremely odd. The waiter didn t even return to take payment, he just left us with the card machine , I m guessing he was too nervous incase of questions. Lucky for us we don t drink alcohol and could identify the error easily, I would suggest you all keep an eye on your bill.

The service ruined our dining experience. They give you no time to look at the menu and then are at your table every few minutes intetupting you constantly. We sat , chose a drink and waiter wanted food order as well. We told her 5 minutes please. 2 minutes later shes back. And thats how it was all night. Starters arrived same time as meal. We are not going back

The food is overall not that. I did enjoyed the Adana however I don t think the rice is nice. The salad didn t have red cabbage and I was surprised because I love Turkish food and salad. I did go later in the evening so perhaps the food is better during day. But overall I wouldn t go back there again. Staff are very nice and friendly.

Located at Westfield Stratford, on the outside where most of the nicer restaurants are. This establishment is always very busy and I can see why. The menu pulls you in, the staff provide delightful service and the food is very tasty and plentiful. Most bar drinks are on offer, so theres something for everybody. If youre there on the right nights you may even enjoy some energised cultural dancing!

Waited a while for our mains as restaurant very busy...but was very worth the wait. Amazing, hot and tasty..waitresses very attentive. Would recommend and we will return to try the many dishes on offer.. they all looked great.. the sharing platters were massive and very popular!!

Dinner for 4 on a Saturday night. I was worried having read some poor food reviews but the food was excellent. The lamb shanks just slid off the bone and the mash was really creamy. Large portions too! Margaritas were excellent. Atmosphere was Ok, nothing unusual about it. Overall we had a great evening and I would go back.

Best Turkish place in East London. Staff were fantastically helpful and polite. Food and drinks were out of this world, the food came in big portions, and cocktails were that good that I wanted to take a jug home of all them . Couldn t recommend this place more.

the food was average however the service was atrocious. You would think a place where the service charge is mandatory, they would atleast put some sort of effort when it comes to their service. We had to wait for our table that we reserved for, and we were first put in a small table of 4 (we were a group of 5). The waiters were rolling their eyes everytime they came to our table to serve us drinks, half of which never came to our table. Our mood was greatly dampened by the poor quality service. I absolutely discourage anyone who is considering to go here for a brunch. The manager and one other older gentleman were nice, I wish I could say the same for everyone else.

We had came into the branch from an awkward side entrance which wasn t displayed no one at the desk to welcome. Waiter didn t seem bothered and had seated us in an awkward place. I was seated in a place which I had asked if it s ok for me to move. I think the waiter had a language barrier as he had answered that they do not provide that service. To add to the frustrating experience. When ordering the waiter had not listened to our order properly which resulted in us having to repeat our order a couple times then to add insult to injury they kept forgetting the number of drinks we had ordered. On to the food we had ordered the mixed mezze and the mixed platter which was a bit of a let down. Firstly the bread was cold. We had then requested fresh bread which took 15 minutes to come however the fresh bread was very nice this did come at a price of an addition £2.75 which usually is free when visiting other Turkish establishments. The let down was the waiter had made us wait for another 30 minutes before getting the main out to us which we had to request as he thought we was finishing off our starters (there was nothing left on the plate). The mixed platter did arrive and that probably did save the night as the food was really good and the most standout item. We had asked for the bill which had a service charge of 12.5% added to this and the waiter had the nerve to ask me for a Tip knowing he had provided me rubbish service. Overall the place was ok but won t be returning here again as the service in my opinion was a very big let down.

All round great experience with lovely food and atmosphere. However when the bill came, we were told that gratuity was included at 12%, however the waiter guilt tripped us into adding a further tip. So a bill that started at £76 ended up being £90. Not impressed

We had an impressive evening at a conference dinner event. The food was delicious, fresh, and generous portion sizes. I have also had dinner there with my daughter at another time. On both occasions, the staff was attentive and helpful, kind. I highly recommend this place if you are after good food in a great restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Plenty to choose from.

Conference dinner for 75 participants: It was awesome. Food was great and the belly dancer and DJ were spectacular. Thanks to the manager, Alex, our evening at Lokma will be remembered with a big smile. The staff were great and they delivered the food on time . This is a brilliant place to organise big group meals. We will go there again, definitely. Highly recommended.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the host, who promptly guided us to our table. The ambiance was inviting, but it was the attentiveness of the staff that truly set the tone for the evening. Our server, Max, was exceptional. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, our drinks and courses arrived promptly, and Max ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

I will never be returning to Lokma after the experience I had on 11th May. We usually book their bottomless brunch on the weekends and on this occasion we were dealt with by a man can only be described as vile , hostile and unprofessional. We were told that they did not accommodate bottomless brunch on weekends where there were football matches at West Ham stadium, that our booking had been cancelled and we should know this if we had read the T&Cs. We explained that if our booking had been cancelled we wouldnt have proceeded to attend and when we showed him our emails to prove this the man was unhelpful and rude. We left as words were exchanged which turned in to a shouting match between this man and us. He proceeded to follow us out of the restaurant and hurl verbal abuse and mentioned that this is why he doesnt like to deal with people like us. He had to be restrained by members of the public and 2 of his colleagues. We requested to speak with the manager multiple times during this incident and was ignored. We have written to Lokma to make a formal complaint but have received no response which is a total shame. I believe this Male is the Manager of the store as I have been there before and its quite shocking that this unacceptable aggression and mistreatment came from him. This matter will be taken further as they have had ample opportunities to respond and failed to do so but as I believe the Male in question is the manager, I am not surprised that our email has been ignored

A bit expensive. Food was good although the Iskender kebab did not have enough bread on the bottom. Very annoyed that the restaurant waiters ask you to tip them on top of the service charge. This Americanization of service is not welcome in the UK. I made the waiter switch the service charge entirely for his tip. But overall, this is just not a pleasant customer experience after a decent meal with family.

Service was great, food came quick and the server was quite attentive. He used his initiative and topped us up with napkins without being asked. The ribs are big and well seasoned, portions sizes were filling. Atmosphere is nice, it s warm, the lighting is dimmed and music is on point however, a little too loud for conversation. Rum punch is a creeper.

We came to eat on Sunday June 16 to celebrate Aid with the family. The restaurant is very beautiful, a lovely atmosphere and superb service. We were served by Maria, a young waitress who was very smiling and very attentive. She was able to advise us and the food was very good. Everything is halal and very good. Maria was there as soon as we needed her without even telling her, the table was clean all the time thanks to her, and despite the trips we made her make, she brought us back everything we had. requested in a timely manner. A big thank you to Maria from my family and a big thank you to the manager who freed us a table even though we had no reservation
