241 Rue Saint-Charles O, Longueuil, QC J4H 1E1, Canada
Hip choice known for its Belgian-style french fries served in a cone, plus burgers & sandwiches.
Can only comment on the food as I had it delivered. I was looking forward to trying Frite Alors for some time now so I finally ordered last Friday. The poutine was pretty good and the merguez sandwich was decent. The fries themselves were quite disappointing, though. I ordered a large along with a few dips I wanted to try. This seems to be their specialty but the fries I got were all tiny little pieces. You couldn’t even dip them because they were so small. It was like I got all the leftover bits which is quite annoying. Wouldn’t order again based off this experience.
Excellent burgers, delicious fries and great service. I have been eating at this restaurant for years mainly due the high quality of the ingredients used to cook various sandwiches, burgers and meals. I highly recommend this restaurant located at the Old Longueuil in Montreal's south shore.
really enjoyed my meal
Best smash burger I had in my life...!!! The bread was amazing and the food was soooo Tasty!!! The General Tao Poutine was delicious as well!! Place was very nice and cute and the atmosphere was nice!!! The waitress was super nice and the chef came and greeted us! Highly recommend and will definitely visit again! Enjoy!
We were seated and our food was brought out quickly. We got the classic poutine and it was exactly what we wanted for our visit to Canada!
What a great place. Food was excellent. Service was great. Must commend the lone server who was bouncing between 15 tables. $85 for 3 seems pretty reasonable with the portion sizes. Decor and atmosphere was well done. Great location with lots of food choices and shops. I'll be back!
Great and friendly service, unfortunately the food is not as good as I expected. The portions are very generous.
Food was very good. Service was meh... The waitress was very cold and she looked angry. We asked for water and it looked like a big task!
Terrible service from the blonde waitress whose name I dont know but who served us today, November 30 at 5:30 p.m. More than 20 minutes of waiting to get the bill, even though the restaurant was far from being overwhelmed and she could see that we were finished. We had to ask the cook for the bill. As we were leaving, she asked us sarcastically did you eat well? Cheap shot!
I love the food and the service is usually very good, but their new guy at the counter doesnt really have a good attitude. Hes been talking stupid to me twice now. I hope this will change Ive been going there for years and Ive never had a problem before
Too dirty
The food is good, the portions are perfect and the service is excellent. I recommend!!! Only one thing I could say is negative is the chairs which are not comfortable at all.
Very interesting
Local located in the pedestrian area of Longueil. We had the opportunity to get there on the opening day of the town festival, where the street was tastefully decorated. The chips that accompanied two local craft beers were delicious. The waitress who served us was nice. Average prices. Kid-friendliness: Which child doesnt like chips?!
The pulled pork poutine with caramelized onions was excellent! Very good service also.
This place is not clean their toilets are dirty I didnt like their kitchen at all They are not welcoming too
Very nice place. I love their poutine so much! Vegetarian options: veggie burger Kid-friendliness:
$28 for poutine? Inflation or not I will choose a better menu elsewhere.
A place that seems more for young people. Average food without being anything spectacular.
Very kind staff. On the other hand, a little disappointed with the quantities for the price. 13 dollars for a ramekin of poutine. We were expecting a little poutine, but here we are on a starter, not a meal. Then value for money it is better to go elsewhere.
A classic, so enjoyable. Nothing more
Very good food, real meat hamburger and fries cut not too large and well cooked. The only downside is that its a bit expensive, but we still go back regularly!
Delicious and great service!
The Angus hamburger is just ground steak, the taste completely eclipsed by an extra sauce that rolls in your mouth, the fries were extra cooked in oil and I was treated to a packet of little pieces that looked like they had a baggy bottom The service on the other hand was good and the terrace outside too
Best poutine I have ever eaten!!! The lighter !!!!
We arrived at the restaurant, the waitress Jasmine asked us if we preferred the terrace or inside. We mention the terrace, instead of directing us to a table on the terrace she gives us the menu and tells us to go and sit down ourselves. She brings us a bottle of water with the glasses without serving us. We chose the Italian smoked meat poutine which was very good. The glass of sangria, tasted just like wine, and even after mentioning it to the waitress Jasmine, she gave us no solution and charged it anyway. Its unfortunate but I dont recommend this place. The toilets no soap inside or anything to wipe your hands. First experience and last experience for us.
Ugh, too much sauce, it was muddy
Too expensive
Forget the coke. Asked for poutine with sauce and received a real jiblote. And I was missing the bacon in my hamburgers
Waitress big zero
Good, adequate and warm services
Tasty smoked meat sandwich with fries and dressing.
The fries were soft, the hamburger was barely warm and we were the first customers and yet the place was poorly maintained
The fries are unbeatable.
I love it
Really good fastfood , but also really expensive .. 28$ for 1 smash burger (8.75$) and the frite alors regular poutine(16$) Both of which were really really good . Seems a little understaff , took over 20mins to get my carryout order (2 behind the counter and 1 waitress during lunch rush on a friday) Wont go often but will definitively go back once or twice in the next year. Parking: Gotta park on the roads nearby where its free or time limited for free otherwise all nearby parking is paid parking
Too expensive and tastes nothing.
Uber order arrived cold. Very bad.
In October, we returned from a 2x week trip to Belgium... 1 month later, my wife and I had a taste for good Belgian fries and their sauces. We had never been to Frites Tandi (Longueuil). So, we believe we are in the right place. Ah misery, what a disappointment. Warning: This has nothing to do with real Belgian fries from Belgium, which are so delicious. Limit: I consider this to be misrepresentation. Besides the paper cone I tell you that has nothing to do with it. I just dont understand why they arent able to reproduce real Belgian fries. In short, we will not return to this place.
Nice cozy little place
Very good fries!
Good fries, poutine sauce I looked a little if it was water and poutine cheese good! Petite classic tastes like fries & cheese.
Good burger, good fries. You cant go wrong with Fries So
For a good burger in St Charles
I am delighted with this restaurant, the fries are delicious, perfectly cooked, the burger is on another level, so juicy. amazing service, I will definitely come back!
The fries are disgusting yum Vegetarian options: I havent read everything but I saw that he had some
Nice place
Great burger and poutine.
General Tao poutine is extraordinary
Calm evening, great service and great poutine! Their fries are soooooo good, its worth the trip. Parking is the only challenge in this neighborhood.
So good, everything is excellent
I would sometimes give 5 stars and sometimes two. The cooking is inconsistent but the quality is always there. Too bad its a surprise every time...this evening everything was overcooked.
I didnt expect the name of this restaurant to clash so much with the fact that I had well-burnt fries who eats hard fries in the same way!!! Plus I had a hamburger with tasteless meat, luckily it had avocado. My boyfriend got him a hot dog and there was just a sausage in it with a lot of mustard, nothing else. He was hungry but didnt even finish it because the taste was so strong! Very disappointed however I had already been to the one on the Mont-Royal plateau several years ago as far as I remember it wasnt that bad. Last time for us! The welcome and service was courteous!
Its great
Good. Already, is there only one waitress in the entire restaurant? I understand its Sunday, but its Mothers Day and warm weather is coming. Saint-Charles will soon be crowded with people...poor thing. And of course, the service is impacted. Uncomfortable chairs and dirty tables that too is pretty average. We had to wait over an hour to get our order, and seriously the quality of the food, the portions and above all... THE POUTINE left everything to be desired. If I had wanted fries, I wouldnt have changed to Poutine. So little sauce and cheese, it looks pretty cheap.
Braving the bad reviews we had read, we went there and everything was ultimately very good. Only negative point: a lot of waiting to be served, which seemed linked to learning new staff. So to do again.
It may have changed ownership.... The recipes have changed and its very expensive. The fries are still good.
Our fries were burnt and portions are small, but the ingredients were nice
Excellent service delicious food (everything everything) comparable prices I adore
Super !
Very, very long before you get your food. The kitchen looks dirty but doesnt have to be. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. The staff is super nice but very shy.
This is a very nice branch. And service was very friendly.
Loved the fries and the mayos. Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu. Food : 5/5 |
Retro atmosphere, super affordable, lots of choice of sauces and drinks we love!
Great general tao poutine !!! Get the big one its 28$ but its worth every penny.
30 minutes after ordering online and we arrived at the time dictated by their site for pickup and it wasnt ready. So no more waiting to end up with 45 minutes of waiting for two poutines which had practically no sauce... first and last time.
I come in and wait for 15-20 minutes while the 3 waitresses count their tips and dont even bother with you! No service.
Fries always special and delicious. On the other hand, changes to the menu are not always in harmony with the image of the initial concept. Very personal opinion.
Really disappointed.. you decide to treat yourself on a Friday night and youre ready to pay the price and its just not good. Ive been there twice lately and Im really disappointed... this evening the fries in my poutine are way overcooked and the poutine is a failure! It comes to almost $30 per poutine with tip and no, it s not edible. Personally, no I dont advise you.
Good poutine with good homemade fries, good service. We go there regularly for poutines. Small downside for the cleanliness of the toilets to improve.
Music a little too loud but otherwise its okay Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available
Classic poutine was spicy for some reason. Bacon (American style) tasted really tangy and weird. Once served food no visit from the server. Not bad but not a must-return.
A1 food.
$54 for two poutines which are good, but nothing more. Overpriced. There are other places with a more reasonable price, but better meal.
We had an absolutely delightful experience at this Quebec restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The portions of their famous fries and poutine were generous, and the prices were more than fair for the delicious food we enjoyed. We particularly loved sitting outside on a warm evening, which added to the charm of our visit. The fact that they stay open late was a real bonus, perfect for a late dinner. Overall, a fantastic place to satisfy your poutine cravings in Quebec. Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Yes Parking: It s on the street, busy street but plenty of room Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and seats Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible rampe
Very good smokmeet ft very good fries
Great service too!
The classic poutine is good, the fries are crispy, the sauce is good and the cheese too, not disappointed!
Nice little place but definitely lacking in staff because the service is long. Good food, but the quantity has decreased a lot. We got our table quickly, but we had to catch a waitress to take our order and pay. We went and got ourselves a straw and the napkins. We never had utensils. We didnt have the right sauce in my husbands order, and the waitress took a long time (my husband almost finished his fries) before coming back to tell us that there was no more sauce that we ordered. had asked. The next table had half their order given to someone else.
Gravy isnt great nor are the curd bits(they are not like regular curds). Just dont if you love poutine, even Belle Provice Is better.
Timeless classic
Eat Saturday morning, November 25 at 12.30 p.m. cost $72 with tips 1 poutine general tao extremely ordinary chicken strip cut tasteless sauce childrens menu 2 strips only with fries merguez sausage sandwich with only sauce received our coffee no spoons did not ask us if we wanted ketchup or mayo with our fries. very ordinary for the price. spend fries which taste nothing at all the meat in the fridge uncovered I was sitting at the counter so I saw all his text and touch food afterwards....in short
$38 for that, no need to say more.
Were going to Frite So for the fries! Hard to beat.
Always as good, impeccable service, always welcoming and warm Good food
Good food and good service! Fast and efficient. The fries are really famous.
It was very good and the service was professional and fast. On the other hand, I have never seen so little meat in a hamburger. There is a lot of competition around and it makes no sense to pay $25 for ciabatta bread and a few fries. At this point, inflation has gone too far. I remember a time when we werent hungry when we left the restaurant.
I ordered a very simple classic Hamburger, the dry meatball which tastes nothing and flat like a pancake with a few toppings for $14. Its very disappointing to have paid this price for this very basic type of Hamburger! And let s talk about the $9 poutine served in a pan. Your portions versus the price paid need to be reviewed! Oh yes, its freezing in the restaurant, its very unpleasant.
BEST. FRIES. EVER. I m not joking or saying this lightly. They are Belgian fries and absolutely delicious. The only downside is that it s a minute away from where I live and it s difficult to rest
Fresh fries. Varied burgers.
I loved it it was SUPER good
We were served charred fries!!! What a disappointment!!!
First and last! Ultra charred fries... Big disappointment
Super nice place, ultra warm, excellent food!!!!!
The best fries in town
Delicious! The Special Fried Hamburger So is good, the fries are excellent and specific to the restaurant. A good atmosphere and the employees are welcoming.
Super efficient staff, very kind, impeccable service.
A clean space respecting health instructions. My burger was cooked to perfection with a good dose of sauce and vegetables, which blend into the meatball for the pleasure of the palate! Succulent fries with an exquisite aioli sauce. In short, a little lunch worthy of great restaurants!
Outstanding service!
Excellent poutines and excellent burgers. Good variety!!!
Good place!!!
Delicious ! :)
Delicious.. extra service
Good food and service.
21.50$ for a large poutine and half way through all you got is soggy fries in bland tasting gravy. Barely any cheese curds. Way overpriced, low quality, avoid.
Dear
I just ordered via uber eats, BRO THE TEXAN IS DON BIN TASTE, plus with the slice of aged cheese it was excellent, 10/10 will order again
Very good hamburger and fries
Very good dish for quality and price
I like this restaurant, especially for its fries accompanied by original sauces. The burgers and hot dogs are also delicious. Simple place and friendly service.
Small, friendly, unpretentious restaurant. Nice decor and window open to the street. Excellent poutine (ground beef, onion and mushrooms). A good choice of poutines and burgers. Several choices of homemade mayonnaise to accompany your fries. I recommend.
Great service! But the food too fatty! We even taste the oil. In any case, in poutine and fries, it flows well. We cant say about the burguers, we didnt taste them. I will come back to see if they are also fatty.
Super good
The fries are just the best!
The boss is super nice
Great food and super friendly staff will definitely go again.
Good services, clean place. But the regular poutine that I ordered phew, not the best Poutine by far (lack of cheese, didnt taste much.) Disappointed
Fast and helpful service. The best fries!!
Best poutine around
We received a bun with two sausages inside 0 like the photo and some stuff inside was missing. Plus, their poutine is ridiculously small. It wasnt worth the $50 we paid.
Alright
Amazing taste! Good flavor and quantity. Staff is really polite and pleasant.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten
We went to eat there. We already had to get up ourselves to get a menu. Then it took a long time to order and finally we waited 30 minutes before being served. They placed lots of take out orders instead of serving their customers in restaurants. Its a lack of respect for the people who show up to eat indoors. And honestly poutine ok but nothing more. We wont go back there again.
Impeccable service! Dinner with my lover, delicious poutine.
Not bad but too expensive. +$6.50 for a large Poutine, or $25 for a large Poutine with taxes
Super good ! A little warm inside
The decor is pretty mediocre, but the food is fabulous. Cuisine: 5 stars.
For the cost, the food quality was amazing. I was hesitant to pay that much for a hotdog, but man was it tasty. The Montreal smoked meat poutine was also very very good, but if something says with pickles then I expect more than one bite worth. Kids portion was quite large but regular portions were on the small side for the cost. Again, flavour was incredible. Kid-friendliness: Crayons available and paper placemats to draw on. Kids menu was good and portion for kids meals was large.
I ordered the fried poutine So, very small portion and practically no cheese
Poutine Ginette. So good #PutinWeek
Good fries and good beers Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu available.
Great experience
Delicious fish and chips as well as fries!
American mayo is my best
Bravo
For me the best poutine on the south shore, homemade double-cooked fries, fresh cheese in the morning, homemade brown gravy.
Nice clean place and friendly staff.
super fast service, super nice people! food and beers are alright. a bit cold though! (the room, not the food)
Vegetarian options: Plant-based burger Delicious
Its the noise thats the problem. The hood fan combined with the loud music is very disturbing. Otherwise the welcome is warm.
I loved the fries and the sandwich...good service, the staff are smiling and very courteous.
Great food, nice ambience, and very good service located in the heart of Longueuil, its a great location
Maudine de bonne Frite. Belle Place is Couzy
Best fries in town, and the rest too including service!
Delicious options for poutine!
Very bob
Share a good hot and crispy fries with a good beer in a good atmosphere, relaxed atmosphere
I loved the vegetable poutine and I will go back for its hamburger
It was really really good! The burger was juicy and very delicious. Their poutine is incredible. And the service was also there. The waiter was very nice and made good jokes as well. We will come back for sure
Well made poutine , would recommend
