Celebration dinner in the room upstairs... Only 1 server, very very long between services from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. without coffee or dessert. Vegetable soup = dish juice, Caesar salad with curly salad leaves, too soft, plate of pasta all very cold, very dry chicken parmigianna with no sauce accompanied by its frette pasta. No coffee, no bread. A nice $150 thrown in the water

My girlfriend and I discovered this restaurant last Friday during Lumifest and it was a great find. The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is good (I found it funny to listen to Latin music videos in an Italian restaurant), the little armchairs are comfortable, the service was absolutely impeccable, the wine was good and the pasta arrabiata were delicious. Although at first I admit to thinking that the portion seemed a little small (I love pasta!), in the end this portion was satisfactory because this spicy sauce was quite a bit spicier than the other arrabiata pastas that Ive been able to eat so far and thats a good thing! I was also happy with the price for 2 people. I definitely intend to go back!

Christmas party 2023. Very bad experience for a Christmas party. Im not saying that the cooking wasnt good, but there is a big lack of honesty! First, we had booked the wine cellar room and we got a small, ugly, undecorated room. In the entrance of the restaurant, it smelled like sewers. At the start of the meal, we were supposed to have an Italian salad with balsamic vinegar and they served us a Caesar salad. We also had lobster ravioli with rosée sauce and white wine on the menu so we were never served. The meal was average compared to what we had chosen, it was not at all what was agreed. No adjustment was made on the invoice for the amount to be paid, it was my boss who paid the invoice and I realized that the amount remained the same despite 3 or 4 changes on their part, never again we will not book at Messina for a party.

Me and my friends went for the first time. And I can say it wont be the last time we go. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The service.. I have never been served so well in a restaurant. We booked for 5 people on the phone with Michel who takes reservations, very professional and very welcoming.. then upon our arrival, impeccable service from our waiter who served us like kings and who was very attentive seriously wow the food is excellent and for the price its really super affordable I highly recommend this restaurant... being the manager of a restaurant myself I loved it and I will come back and recommend this place thanks again to the owner for this beautiful evening.. Dsl that has changed a lot there are 5 tables in the dining room I think they focus more on the large rooms at the top service a little long and the menu choice on a sheet is really not the menu that it indicates on Google the dishes lack taste which is disappointing and the owner who suggests I go to McDonalds if I want taste in my dishes its special I try several restaurants and Messina comes last dsl if the pandemic has affected you a lot but to reduce the dining room with 5 tables and the menu with few choices not tasty think about it a little I am surely not the only one who did not like several other restaurants other than McDonalds works very well with large dining rooms full of even waiting at the dsl entrance for your restaurant No melting brie No veal No burrata Several dishes are missing from the menu

(A year later: The menu has changed a little, too bad.) That said, I was dissatisfied with my dish upon delivery (it happens) and Michael, if Im not mistaken, fixed that for me quickly. stroke of a spoon. It offers excellent customer service. Group menu, disappointed with my beef short rib...the taste was good and the meat was very tender but a lot of fat on my plate and very little meat. My wife was also disappointed with her chicken parmigiana, it almost looked like a frozen burger patty! My friend didnt even eat it all! The rest was ok without more... Personally I will recommend to my group to choose another restaurant next time...

We ordered from Ubereats. The food was inedible, and extremely expensive for the poor quality. We ordered the tortellini with rosé sauce, it had raw garlic cloves, the sauce was liquid and tasted strongly of garlic, it was like garlic soup. I couldnt eat the dish. The poutine was too salty and I found a piece of plastic in the fries, they were black and overcooked. The pizzas were oily and the crust was soft and soggy. I lost way too much money for quality.

We went there for an event and it was disappointing. Slow and inefficient service. Very disorganized. Bad food, the macaroni was so bad that no one liked it. For the price, its not worth it, but we can probably blame a lack of staff, we only had two waitresses for a group of 40 people.

Just WOW. Flawless. We celebrated our wedding last weekend and everything was just perfect. The service, the room (sound system, perfect), the meal (especially the prime rib (it fell apart with a fork and even came apart on its own because it was so juicy and cooked to perfection). The girls who served us upstairs did a meticulous job and were patient and to be honest, I had read some negative comments and I was a little skeptical because its not the Messina I know. So GO, dont hesitate to book for your events. They listen to your needs and everything is perfect. Just a huge thank you. We will come back without hesitation and refer you to our workplaces and friends BIG LOVE.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment chez Messina. Nous avons pu avec seulement 3 jours de pré-avis réserver une salle pour un événement très spécial et ce, malgré le personnel réduit. Lun des propriétaires et lune des employées ont assuré le service pour notre groupe de 40 personnes! Le repas était délicieux et même avec un personnel réduit nous avons reçu un bon service. Super good meal except the Caesar salad, the veal is ground veal too but I find that in times of pandemic the kitchen staff did not wear masks, it shocked us to see that.

Food was decent if pricy

I went with a friend two years ago and I wanted to repeat the experience with my partner yesterday. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. To begin with, it was so dark that I could barely read my menu. I ordered fried squid, I felt like I was eating elastic breadcrumbs, I even whipped my lips with it while trying to bite into it, which was an impossible thing in fact. The pasta was very ordinary. I had, however, taken exactly the same thing as my first experience but it was not at all the same thing on my plate. The reason for my 3 stars is impeccable service and a very attentive waitress who seems to have the well-being of her customers at heart, just the people at the service are worth the 3 stars, for the food I barely give 1 star. I will not repeat the experience at this restaurant

Me and my boyfriend went there this evening. Unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. We had the Château Haut d Alzac wine which was excellent. We both had an escargot starter and unfortunately we didnt like the spice inside because the dish tasted just like that... for the main meal the portion of minion fillet was good but partly burnt black. my boyfriend started having hot flashes and not feeling well after the latter (first time he had a reaction like this) for my part it wasnt very good either. We had to leave before the end of the meal. Very disappointed, especially for the price. The waitress was very welcoming, smiling, understanding and very respectful, nothing to say, she was perfect. As for the food, I definitely wont go back! (I gave two stars and it s for the service)

We booked for 40 people at noon. One waitress for a group of 40! Room on the 2nd floor which is not air-conditioned, windows which do not open, lights in part of the room burned, dirty toilets, very exaggerated price for the food we received. Ex: Braised beef rib, I understand that there is a little fat but when you have more than half of your beef that is fat!!! Chicken parmigiana cutlet that appears to be a piece of flamingo breaded chicken reheated in the microwave and a peppered Mac n Cheese!!! One of my guests even found a hair on her plate. In addition, it was lucky that I had kept the email mentioning that the childrens meals came with unlimited juice, because they wanted to charge us for the 2nd glasses of juice. One of my guests ordered a glass of milk...curdled milk!!! Coke not drinkable! People returned their glasses because they seemed to be running out of gas. Extremely long service! A 4h30 to finally have our dessert! And to top it all off, the only waitress who makes people pay one by one in single file, with 1 interac machine!!!

We went to dinner for her engagement at 12:00 p.m. It cost 2 hours to have salad then an hour for main meal for me I had mac and cheese which was super spicy. And another 2 hours for dessert For the price ask for your services p.s dsl for spelling mistakes

We were a group of 40 people who ordered Pepsi all returned it, we were going for an engagement dinner, received starter at 2:00 p.m., someone ordered 2 glasses of milk. They returned curdled milk, dinner had 3 choices of very peppery macaroni, beef I know it has a little fat but almost all the pieces were not normal, chicken breast they were breast not good at all, no aeration no air air-conditioned in addition for 2 people for what they eat pay $142.00 with tip I am really disappointed with this restaurant, disgusting toilet. If at least I could give good comments I cant even. I have already been to eat downstairs it was very good but when you book for large groups there are surprises. Good luck and dont bother after having this experience to give your feedback maybe upper management will correct this.

Beyond my expectations! We had a dream birthday evening thanks to the collaboration of the Messina team. Everything from booking the room, to the group menu adapted for the dietary restrictions of my guests to the atmosphere of the evening: the employees were extraordinary and incredibly helpful. The meal was excellent, the service efficient and pleasant. Everyone was delighted! I would like to sincerely thank them for being so accommodating and friendly, I have rarely had such good service. I highly recommend this place for a successful evening!

The online ordering link is bogus! After 1 hour of waiting I called and was told it was not their fault. In addition, everything was billed to my card and it is up to me to take the steps for a refund!!! A big nonsense!!!

Very nice office party experience!!

Its been a while since I stopped there to have a bite to eat: although the menu has been considerably reduced due to the circumstances we are experiencing (the pandemic) the food was exquisite (first time I tried their famous carbonara and the soup of the day) the sauce was creamy and tasty, the pasta perfectly cooked; the bacon was generous. (Little B soft on the fact that before we were served hot bread at the starter) The starter soup was tasty and very creamy. I was delighted and very satisfied; although I miss the foccacia messina I was able to enjoy it as much as before. And what can we say about the drinks: refreshing and excellent: a bit small for the price but very well executed and measured! Disappointed to have only taken one photo: when the plates arrived we devoured them! Its worth the detour! Update: I ordered a lasagna this evening with foccacia, being a regular I didnt look at the menu, I was expecting to receive the traditional lasagna (pink sauce and bolognese) instead I received a lasagna mountain man I dont know what (with beef ribs) the whole thing was fatty, but fatty. It was fatty and unpleasant in the mouth, separated: the meat was tender. At $27 plus tax, disappointed children and a tired and exhausted mother. It was the last time I ate lasagna there.
