We were disappointed by the long wait time, both to take our orders and to serve the food. They seem to prioritize takeout orders at the demise of the dining room. The food is subpar; not very authentic and lacking taste. Both the tea and wonton soup were served lukewarm...
The restaurant owner should consider closing the dining room and focusing on online delivery. My boyfriend and I waited over two hours in the dining area for our food to be served, which seemed to be the case for most of the other customers as well. I noticed a lot of DoorDash delivery people picking up orders at the cash register. I felt bad for another group who was told the restaurant had run out of rice—something I’ve never encountered at an Asian restaurant before. The server came to our table to confirm our order, so after an hour of waiting, it was clear the kitchen hadn’t even started preparing our food. On top of that, the server got my order wrong—I asked for Tom Yum soup but was given wonton soup instead. We were also supposed to get sesame balls and tea as part of the degustation combo, but the server asked us to pay before we received them. We were too shy to mention it since it was obvious she was having a rough night. For a restaurant with over 15 tables, there were only two people working: the server, who was also handling the cash, and the cook. Even the hotel receptionist had to step in to help inside the restaurant.
This was very good food. The man that served us was very friendly and gave great service all through the meal. The food was very good and if I ever visit again will make sure to eat it again.
BEST ASIAN FOOD EVER, You got to come here! We had Won Tong soup, General Tao, Dumplings, Beef & brocoli, Tonkinoise soup and everything was awesome! Fresh food, meat is tender, sauces are flavorful, good size plates, good service. Godd everything! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Had the General Tao meal for takeout. An excess of rice but was very fresh and delicious. Garlic, sweet and crispy chicken, perfectly cooked vegetables. Not salty. Probably the best I've had.
Impressive WoW food quality and quantity
*Attention* Order made when the restaurant opens. We did not receive our order after 1h30 of waiting (delivery) it was canceled..for this reason the business is not able to process the order.
2 hrs wait for 2 rolls and a soup, left before the main course. Not the only exasperated ones. The vermicelli handful into a ball in the warm soup. Never again.
ATROCIOUS! CATASTROPHIC! I have never in my life had such a poor experience in service. 20 minute wait. She forgets us, I have to signal her when we enter after a 45 minute wait. I received my plate with the wrong order 2nd plate did not include all the ingredients in my dish. First bite.... a salt shaker so much that the taste was salty I ate the edge of the plate which was less salty. The bill Oh my god price error asked me twice which dish I chose. Never again this place. The positive side: To have met 2 super sympathetic couples because I want to let you know that we were not the only ones to live this atrocious experience.
What a disaster! Waiting 2.5 hours to receive our entry! Plastic forks! Some customers left after eating their starter because it took too long! Bland food. Plus, they ran out of rice!!!! No details from the waitress, nor any apology.... They gave priority to people ordering take-out.... First and last time!!!! Horrible experience all round!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decent food, ordinary service and very small so little atmosphere
During my stay I went to eat in different restaurants and not at the hotel. One morning I had my coffee and croissant at 6:00 am before going to my conference. I had to help myself, because no one (waitress) was there, she came from outside to start her number, I said hello to her, and she asked if I could have a coffee hot, she said nothing, not smiling, she took off her coat, took her pack of cigarettes and left the hotel to go smoke, she came back to make coffee no smile, nothing said at all, coffee dripped the dishwater, sorry for my frankness. I think this person is not suitable for this position. Very disappointed.
It was an excellent meal. Everything was fresh, the food excellent. The general tao, beef soup and broccoli beef were all perfect. Nothing to do with a Chinese buffet.

Quebec-oriental cuisine. Tempura shrimp is not tempura, overcooked breading and no sauce for dipping. The pad Thai is nothing authentic, ultra salty with soy sauce. Very long kitchen too, fortunately the waitress is very friendly. Last time for me.
The restaurant closes at 8:30 p.m. but we were told that the kitchen was closed when we showed up at 8 p.m. Poor service

Very bland wonton soup with no Asian flavor. Not to mention the Chinese noodles with their not very appetizing appearance and hard to the bite. Basically I paid too much for little Asian flavor.

July 3, 2022. Thats three times weve shown up there to eat since this spring. It has already been an excellent restaurant. Now its nonsense. They really dont have the resources to offer quality. The Tao generals are all lukewarm and the place stinks of humidity. Its incredible. Finished for me. When we say that following the pandemic nothing will ever be the same again, this restaurant is a good example. Damage

I gave it 1 star because I had no other options. Order placed IM HUNGRY at 5:00 p.m. and received at 7:15 p.m. $23.00 for General Tao chicken in mini hard meatballs, overcooked and also served with overcooked rice. First and last experience You have just lost a client.

Rotten across the board: waitress who speaks too loudly, the beer I order is missing, the soup arrives, the wrong one, its that of the other customer (the only other) in the restaurant. The rolls are bland, the vegetables tasteless. The ordered soup arrives and tastes nothing except being spicy. My partners dish arrives (general Thao) its red, bad plate, its chicken with pineapple...the plate that the other customer of the restaurant ordered. General Thao arrives...ordinary and the vegetables are not cooked at all and taste nothing. My soup meal is full of noodles and vegetables that are too hard, the broth is spicy but tastes like hot water! Such a waste. Quick, a good Asian restaurant in Magog please!

Ive been there 3 times now with my partner and its always a pleasure! Well, its not the decor that matters but if youre looking for a restaurant where the atmosphere is calm, cozy and warm rather than urban and noisy, this is the perfect place :) The service is fast and friendly. The food is delicious, I LOVE their general tao, their portions are generous and the quality/price ratio is very affordable (table dhôte general tao plate, spring roll, wonton soup, coffee/tea $16.99) . Really a good place to discover!

We had dinner at this establishment during the last week of August 2017, on a weekday evening. The restaurant is located in a small hotel. Food and Price (4/5): Excellent value for money for the food. Generous portion. For example, $16.99 for general tao chicken table dhôte with 2 rolls, soup and coffee/tea. The taste was excellent! Service and atmosphere (2/5): Some renovations would be necessary as well as updating the decoration. There was no music and you could hear the employees in the kitchen and in the office talking. We were treated to a quarrel between two employees, which dampened the atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant but no longer for take out. They advertise a take out service but I havent tried it.

More than disappointed!!! Appears to be reheated cooking. Nothing original, bland taste, continental breakfast hotel atmosphere. There are so many good restaurants in Magog, avoid this one.
