An incredible atmosphere, so warm! Comfortable and inviting rooms. And a lunch worthy of great restaurants, what more can I say, you have to go there!

This 5 bedroom cottage is absolutely charming! The gourmet and original breakfast is worth the detour, prepared and served with care by the friendly owner Simon who was super warm and attentive to us. This B&B is located in the heart of Magog, just a few minutes walk from the restaurants on the main street and the Le Vieux Clocher performance hall. We stayed two nights in the La Première room which is very quiet because it is located at the back of the house, upstairs, a little away from the other rooms. It is not very big but very well equipped and super comfortable. A magnificent discovery, we will return! Rooms: There is a shared living room upstairs where there is a television, coffee maker, toaster oven and mini fridge. Nearby activities: Mont-Orford National Park is located 15 minutes by car for outdoor activities in all seasons. Safety: Very pleasant and quiet neighborhood. Walkability: The entire center of Magog is easily accessible on foot: restaurants, shops, Le Vieux Clocher de Magog, lakeside, etc. Food and drinks: The included breakfast is gourmet and very original compared to what we usually see. Absolutely delicious!

Everything is perfect at Simons, the welcome, the rooms, the food. It is near the city center, everything is within walking distance. The air-conditioned rooms are pleasant, and the beds very comfortable. Dont expect anything modern, its more antique. For lunches, forget the 2 bacon eggs. These are gourmet lunches, nothing like croissants or muffins. For example, we were entitled to two services, a starter (e.g. apple crumble, see photo), secondly a poached egg, on a mushroom garden with cream, served on a puff pastry, or on the 2nd morning, a soufflé served with homemade ratatouille (see photo), quite succulent. It seems like it s never the same. On the other hand, for restricted mobility, you will need to inform yourself, because to my knowledge there are no ramps, and there are a lot of stairs. Another little corner of paradise to know. Thank you Simon for being there. Rooms: Very nice, not huge, but comfortable, with all possible comforts. We are offered a toothbrush, soap, earplugs, etc. The mattresses are very comfortable. No TV in the rooms, but a living room available for everyone. Nearby activities: It is one street from downtown Magog, so everything is accessible, restaurant, bar, shopping. A few minutes from a beach, etc. Safety: There are smoke detectors, the doors are locked. Everything is safe Walkability: For reduced mobility, you would have to ask. Food and drinks: The lunches are gourmet.

Walkability: The inn is just a block away from the main downtown street of Magog, which on a July day was bustling with people visiting shops, cafes, and restaurants. Also an easy walk to the lake and the expansive park along the shore. Noteworthy details: Simon has decorated the inn with a style that is quirky and full of delightful surprises. He is a charming host, and his breakfasts are next level!

Two stays and two without faults. I recommend. Simon will be your host. He is always very attentive to us. The breakfasts are great. There is always research in what he does. Its good, its beautiful, its healthy. And its very well located, its close to everything in Magog, you can do everything on site on foot. We have made it our preferred establishment when we go to the eastern cantons. Thanks Simon.

The location is more than perfect (3 minutes walk from the city center). What can we say about lunch/brunch, SUCCULENT! The attention to detail is evident in every element! The perfect place (for me and my wife) to celebrate 20 years official together, and host/mastercheff/dj Simon charmed us with his plates, the music and the originality of the cottage. We promised that in 5 years well come again, but I already miss the place after one day.

This is the discovery of the Eastern Townships. A very nice and decent hostel outside in a quiet area opposite. From a school. But the magical side is inside... an Ali Babas cave masterfully managed in the kitchen by SIMON, the host and owner of the place. He prepares meals and breakfast lunches to die for. For that alone, its worth the detour. Not to mention his charming and endearing personality. Our favorite from our 2 big weeks in Quebec, that says it all and we saw some fabulous places. Looking forward to returning there in a few years

The host was kind and welcoming although near the busy and noisy street. A shower (without a wall) added to the room is not a winning idea. The walls were loaded with miscellaneous things, it would benefit from being more refined to highlight the place more. Not worth the asking price because of the location. I read your answer, yes its in the city but there are much less busy streets and its not easy to sleep in traffic. I simply wanted to advise customers who, like all vacationers, seek tranquility.

We went as a group to a friends party this weekend. We feel at home as soon as we arrive. Simon (owner and chef) knows how to welcome people. Just the smell when we come home of the good food that he prepares for us with heart charms us from the start. The rooms are very comfortable and are each equipped with a small bathroom with shower. Magog is a very beautiful city and this B&B is 1 block from the Principale with the shops and restaurants as well as the waterfront. The meals (lunch and dinner) are simply sublime, your taste buds will not be disappointed. I highly recommend and will definitely return.

This is exactly the opposite of soulless hotels, where all the rooms look the same. I travel a lot for work, all over Canada, and I can guarantee you that the experience here is fantastic. I had the impression of arriving at a friends house. The decoration is warm, everything is clean and the service is perfect. I didnt get a chance to try dinner since its low season, but I cant wait to come back for the dining experience. There is a charging station, which seems to be impossible to find in the area, not to mention that it is included with the room, which is far from being the case everywhere. For my next visit, no doubt I will book here.

Visited La Maison de Ville in July with two friends. Simone greeted with a friendly welcome. The breakfast was something I have never experienced in other bed and breakfast before, it was delicious with an artist flair. The rooms we perfect, bed was very comfortable. We also had a dinner at his place. Highly recommend it. If you are in Magog you must stay here.

Sublime place and very well located in Magog. You MUST eat at this place! Absolutely INCREDIBLE 4-course dinner! And the word is not fair, Simon is not only an outstanding host but a perfect chef! Everything is thought about in terms of decoration, amenities; wine glasses and bottle openers in each room, coffee machine in the common air, small terrace on the second floor etc! Very friendly welcome from the owner Simon. The cleanliness of the place is impeccable, decorated in a warm and tasteful way and it is perfectly located in Magog because 3 minutes walk from the main. I have never eaten a lunch (which is also included in the price) also good in a hotel or B&B so really hats off for the cuisine It also offers the possibility of dinner according to the bring your own wine formula for guests who are sleeping but you have to book in advance A couple who were there in. same time as we did and the food looked great! Option to consider for those who want an intimate atmosphere :).

If you want to please your senses and live a culinary experience that will delight your eyes and especially your taste buds, I highly recommend adding it to your wish list Simon, the chef-owner, is a true culinary artist and an outstanding host. No menu available. We let ourselves be surprised by Simons creativity. Dinner is not an obligation when you stay with him, but it would be a mistake to deprive yourself of it! Bring a good bottle and enjoy. Lunch is also a nice surprise and is included in the cost of the night. The rooms are beautiful, warm and comfortable. This was our second visit to his place and we cant wait to go back.

Lovely older home with four en suite guest rooms along with a sitting area with attached porch. The bed was very comfy and the host friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nothing less than a work of art - two courses that were delicious and beautifully prepared and served. And if that wasn t enough it was on a quiet street ONE BLOCK from the main street with shops and restaurants. What a gem!
