We enjoyed our dinner here. Al pastor tacos were better than expected. Poutine as an appetizer was a large portion. Odd to say but fries were on the hard or tough side. Frozen fries which you expect but they were hard to get on the fork. Seems weird to say. Beer was cold and plenty of TV's to watch the Ottawa Senators beat the Montreal Canadians. Made us happy... ;-)
We arrived early and had our choice of tables. The hostess/server was very sweet. We ordered drinks and dinner. 45 minutes later, after we noticed others being served who came in after us, the server came back with a menu and said the kitchen lost our order. We confirmed our choices and waited another 30 minutes! We were not asked if we wanted an appetizer or even another drink. The food was very good and the server was apologetic. They did charge us for our drinks. We understand that things happen but we felt completely ignored.
Very nice experience. Excellent service from Alexandra. The terrasse is very nice and you know the management cares when the bathrooms are really clean.
In short, Monday diner time, the place was overbooked and understaffed. Kitchen wasn't delivering plates fast enough for those who wanted to eat there. Took us two hours (no kidding, 120 minutes+) for the chicken wings appetizer to arrive; and then another 45 mins + after that for the main courses. No one at our table were impressed by the food; burger bun uncook, poutine was like a Costco's poutine (but 10$ more expensive), water refilling never occur, dirty glasses for soda were given and a mistake were made for our orders. The only interesting dish we met was the Poke Nachos which was different but not that elaborate. On the other hand, the place is awesome, setup and terrasse is on top, live band was excellent. In our not-a-great-day experience, those who only drinked that night would probably have a much more positive review than mine I'm pretty sure. With that said, if you are looking for a terrasse to have a drink and listen to a live band, stop searching it's there you have to go. No doubt. If you plan to eat, well, many alternatives exists around in that price category and I'd recommand to be sensitive if the place is crowded, very crowded or just too loaded or not. Nothing's impossible to rescape and level up I'm sure but from our experience, it's not in our plan to go back anytime soon. The place overall felt serious solid and I'm sure that they will fix and adjusts their strings to increase the experience.
Every time I go to Magog, I need to make a stop at this restaurant. They have great service with an amazing terrace where you can also bring your dog! I tried their veggie burger (my first veggie burger) and to my surprise I really enjoyed it. It was full of flavour, and really tasty. If you can, replace the fried to their onions rings , they’re seasoned so well!! I know I’ll be going back there next time I’m in Magog :)

Haven’t been in over a year, last time was great. This time, not so much. The menu has changed radically, we took the Nashville burger and fries with an app of wings. The wings were great burger too but they put it on some paper and other paper broke because the burger ( porc) was juicy which made the paper mushy. The prices are ok 10 wings for 17$ and burger was 25$. Service was ordinary. We did not get asked for desert or anything else once our food was finished.
Great restaurant and bar with a enormous patio overlooking a beautiful marina. The food was delicious and generous - we both had burgers. The beer selection was good but not as large as I would have expected from a place called the Liquor Store. The service was friendly, quick and efficient. I highly recommend this place for a good meal and a cold drink with a bunch of friends. The place looks like would be a booming night club as well, but we were only there during a weekday afternoon.
For the price I paid for the ribs and the pizza I ordered a fries for $9 luckily they were good disappointed with the portions compared to the price

Excellent with a little high price
I came to eat here and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There were free tables in front of us and the waiters didnt seat us until after a 15 minute wait! The food was just mediocre. If I had known the food would be of this level, I would have gone to McDonalds!
Honestly, dont go to this restaurant if you want to eat well, its more of a place to have a drink on the terrace. Passed your turn for dinner at this place. We were all disappointed << selling a poutine with frozen fries and cheap, overly salty cheese for $15 is a steal! Worst poutine ever. >>

The atmosphere is nice but the employees are not nice at all, they keep asking you if you want to have something to drink and they bother you to drink, we are not satisfied at all, dont waste your time by going here.
I paid $33 for 6 lobster ravioli. I dont normally have a big stomach because Im 5 feet tall and lets say Im not very heavy, but I was so hungry afterwards! And it wasnt a starter, but a main course! My friend paid $27 for 6 general tao dumplings. In terms of the bill, we wont come back thats for sure. Much too expensive for the quality. They are very cheap... On the other hand, the music was really nice!
Really disappointing! The poutine served was cold. We asked him to correct the situation, which was done. The calamari and chicken wings were less than ordinary. The waitress was very nice. I dont recommend for the food.

Too many bees!
The terrace is very beautiful but the food is more than disappointing. A fish & chip served with a cup of Heinz tartar sauce and a general tao chicken salad: uncooked broccoli white rice and 3-4 chicken meatballs. A dinner of +/- $130 is rather disappointing.
I visited here exactly one year ago. I came back today to celebrate Canadas National Day. The food was always delicious. The town was lively and very fun. I will come again.
Magnificent terrace, very friendly service, super cool atmosphere. On the other hand, the cuisine is deplorable and very expensive for not an ounce of gastronomy.

Update June 2024 : the Poke Nacho are so creative. Great tuna with fried wong tong and loads f good stuff. It is our go to place in Magog. For good food, drinks and atmosphere, don t forget the great staff too. June 2022 :Good place are always busy. Saturday night when there is a foodie event the place was packed. Great food, great service, very warm and welcoming. Kitchen couldnt keep up we waited but it was announced at ordering time, proactive and honnest.

On the menu it says prime beef for the LS burger . We were very far from it we asked twice if there hadnt been a mistake and they confirmed that no... Ive never laughed so much its literally a frozen dumpling.. the taste and the texture are horrible We didnt eat it. The squid was good. For a bill of $140, we will not come back... more than usual...

This place is beautiful theres so much to look at they have a dance floor inside and outside you dont have to go in to get a drink theres a bar also outside the View is spectacular you get to see the lake and the passing boats right in front of you the staff are wonderful the food is out of this world I wanted to try everything on the menu but dont worry Ill be back every Saturday so I can experience all those flavors I think I might even marry the chef haha I recommend everyone to experience the nightlife as well as the daytime Its best restaurant in Magog by far I had a lot of fun, I give this restaurant 100% delicious

Sublime terrace, excellent atmosphere but on the other hand. Food wise, avoid! 1 hour and 45 minutes of waiting for a cold poutine with fries that could be used as darts, how hard they were. If I ever set foot in the Liquor Store again, I wont come and eat, thats for sure.
The place to go. On the edge of the lake. Great place. The outdoor terrace is very large. Very good dinner with friends.

Great atmosphere. Great service. Good food. It s the best patio downtown to enjoy people watching. Their patio bar is fantastic! Huge umbrellas keep you shaded and dry. Outdoor heaters drive the chill away. I can t wait to return in a live band night.
Came here about 6 years ago and LOVED it, good food selection (even gluten free options for the celiac in our party), ambiance was great and warm work staff. Last night was so different. The food selection is very small, a bit pricey for what you get. If you want really good food, service and decent alcohol prices, give this place a pass and make the journey to the Brouemont.

Friendly place, welcome and good service. We ordered the liquor store burger. The dish was good but surely it was frozen, the fries dont seem homemade either. It s summer, water should be served with ice cubes, we shouldn t ask for them ourselves! For frozen it s a bit expensive .
Dinner before a show at the Vieux Clocher! 2 super good starters (squid and brie), 3 generous main meals (gluten-free pizza, steak/fries and gargantuan fish and chips). A little expensive, but its the Liquor Store!
A must every summer....not the most varied of menus but always good (I dont recommend the steak and fries, not tender meat). But everything else, especially the squid starters and the melting brie with syrup and fruit, is excellent.

Truly excellent. The KGB band (Kevin Groves Band) was on the outdoor terrace. It felt like we were somewhere between Boston and Ogunquit. Generous and very efficient staff!

Its been a while since i came into this place because i didnt really like the food before .But after a hard day of work and not feeling like cooking,we went again after checking the new menu. I have always liked the place,à nice terrace and live band.Their service is very good and friendly.I took the tuna tataki twice as i liked it so much...and a chocolate cake for dessert. I was looking over my shoulder to check on peoples plate and seems like most liked their plates as well.Hubby likes his too ...à good improvement.
Wicked beautiful terrace, The menu is ordinary, a little expensive for the portions but delicious. When the service is rotten, The starters arrived after the main course. A live band with a very good repertoire.

Disgusting hamburger, the first cold, the second lukewarm . Beige meat, tasteless, certainly not beef, frozen too, and frozen fries too. Nothing seems to be done on site, Exorbitant price $23 for a hamburger and fries!!!!!!!! Good place for a drink but not the food. To avoid.

Good atmosphere and great food
We had the pizza and it was a total let down. I was expecting oven baked, but we got a pizza that I would get in a grocery store. No grocery store pizza is better. As for the rest of the menu we didnt try anything else. Nice place just for the competition of restaurants in that area it was a big let down.
Nice view as we were able to be seated near the water. Food was really disappointing considering the price. We ordered 2 liquor store burgers and the meat seems to be frozen. We should have been suspicious as my husband tried to order his burger medium rare. However he was told they were only cooking them well done, as « with burgers we have to be careful » First time ever we were not able to get a medium rare « beef » burger. Not sure either it was fully beef. Looked more like a mix of pork sausage and beef.. Very expensive considering the overall quality.
Overrated place for the quality and service obtained, the singers who were present during our visit, would have done better to just have a DJ play because the sound was absurd, their professionalism leaves something to be desired, in short he did not sing well, the people around of us also said the same thing. Avec notre repas et nos 2 verres, nous avons eu une facture approximative de 70$. Surprise! Notre facture est trop basse nous ne pouvons pas utiliser notre certificat cadeau

It was good but too costly, I couldve had a bigger better poutine across the street for the same price Dietary restrictions: They offer no gluten meals Parking: Sunday has free parking in the city otherwise you have to pay. Its harder to find a street parking close by than in the big parking across the street

Its a place where its easy to get your feet hooked: we had to have a beer and leave after 30 minutes...but with the atmosphere we drank 2 pitchers and supper...everything was excellent and left the place took place 4 hours later... extraordinary evening... thanks to the team.

Great terrasse. Very small selection of beer, nothing of interest. They ran out of Tequila, so had to order something different. The Bloody Ceasar with whiskey was delicious. Real bacon! I assume the food is great but didn t try it.

Beautiful terrace, good food and very good music. On the other hand, if you are allergic to cigarette smoke, mention it so that you are seated in the right place in order to have as little smoke as possible. Otherwise, you will have to leave early.

The band offered a performance of great value, personalized and versatile. I recommend to everyone.
We came with no particular expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the service very adequate. Not like pub food at all! We cant speak to the drinks as we didnt drink, but the food alone was worth it. Only reason for one star less: the terrace was very friendly, the wasps that circled around us throughout the meal, quite a bit less.
