The only positive point of the place is the beautiful view of the lake. We ordered the onion soup au gratin, which had pork belly. The soup was topped with a Burger bun with yellow-orange shredded cheese that looked like it had been cooked in the microwave. My girlfriend, being vegetarian, was very surprised to find pieces of meat in this soup, even though it was not written on the menu and the waiter did not even know it. Why change such a good and comforting classic of French cuisine?

Overcooked chicken wing beer on tap flattering very slow and even non-existent service, the waitresses dont look at the customers and dont see the service at all; !! Drunk singers sound like bad karaoke I gave it my second chance and not a third!!! In addition, we allowed dogs there and now for health reasons we only allow assistance dogs I dont see the difference in health between two dogs!!! I recommend the burger pub not too far away (Orford) very pleasant, friendly and tasteful service in every way!! And you can bring your little dog there As for service, Im a 14-year-old professional bartender so I would never leave my customers without service, and its not because of the lack of staff they are full!

What a desappointment! The view is magnificent, the staff friendly, but there is no table service, we have to come back and get our meals and drinks at the counter. In addition, we have to manage the dishes and waste after the meal! Call it a cafeteria then! Not a pub. The chicken salad had no vegetables, just raw spinach and chicken. Really ordinary.

Friendly place, the staff members are very nice. The dishes are good, the portions generous and the prices reasonable. Relaxed atmosphere. Vegetarian options: I had nachos, there are other meatless choices. Dietary restrictions: My partner eats gluten-free, there were a few options. Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to get there

Dogs refused on the terrace since this summer... we have already come several times with our animal. Its really sad because its a good place but well go elsewhere from now on.

Very nice place on the waters edge in fact this is the only positive characteristic for this place the food was mediocre the pizza was burnt and the nachos even more ordinary. The owner was humiliating and condescending towards a customer because the group had pushed 2 tables together. Speaking to customers like this in front of everyone at the restaurant is a blatant lack of respect. Everything can be said but without making a mountain of it. Remember: the customer = your money! There will be no next time... Thanks to the nice waitress!

So where to start? Firstly, we had booked 2 weeks in advance and at the last minute we had a table taken away by a guy dressed to go jogging, saying he was out to lose money even though we had already 2 tables assigned to our group initially, so he seated all 10 of us at a round table which I thought was a table of 6, we were all squeezed in. Secondly, I understand its chalet style though , the fact that the cutlery was all placed in a bowl meaning deal with it really disappointed me. Thirdly, the attitude of the usher was mediocre, he thought he was highly superior to us, when he tried to explain to us that there had to be 10 of us at the same table.Fourth, when we ask for a Caesar salad with chicken, the chicken breast is supposed to be cut, but no, the cooks added it to us in the same way in the salad.Fifth, and the point which is the most important in my opinion, once we have changed places the usher comes to see us and makes a rather inappropriate and condescending remark. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant for all these reasons, despite the quality of the food and the fries were good.

Nice place with our golden retriever. The rule for dogs is simple to respect: dogs must be placed next to the railing, kept on a leash on the ground. Choice for my party. Too good! Homemade squid...sick. And soooooo good ribs. And a little surprise for my party. The singer is super good, really nice atmosphere. Everyone liked their plate Dietary restrictions: My gluten-free sister ate very well. They replaced his bread with really good homemade chips. Wheelchair accessibility: Mom was in a wheelchair. No problem. They have a great terrace on the shore of Lake Memphremagog. What a view!!! Owners more than friendly. She at the bar, him on the floor. WELL DONE! I will definitely go back.

Had a perfect beer or tea

Upon our arrival, we were eager to indulge in some poutine. We ordered two with pork inside, totaling $40. Despite the establishment permitting well-behaved dogs, we were instructed to keep our little companion off the metal chair, even though we were distanced from others.. (What s the difference between them being on the floor or a metal chair outside away from everyone) again unnecessary rules. The wait for our order was surprisingly long, exceeding 30 minutes, despite poutine typically being a quick dish. Our buzzer went off, signaling that our order was ready, but we had to retrieve it ourselves, which seemed odd for a beachfront pub. Even though we had tipped in advance, no one brought it out to us. My husband went to pick up our order, only to be told he needed the receipt, despite explaining the order and showing the vibrating buzzer. Adding insult to injury, the server reprimanded him for entering through the wrong door upon his return. The abundance of unnecessary rules and subpar service left us with no desire to return. However, I must acknowledge that the poutine itself was enjoyable.

This was the first time me & my family went to this restaurant. The food was good, but the service...Disastrous. First, the owner welcomes us & seats us at the wrong table, she didnt listen to us at all when we told her the name of the reservation. Subsequently, she asks us 3 times which sangria we want, only to finally bring us the wrong one. Once again she was not listening at all. When we finally received the right one, we were extremely disappointed to see that it was only barely alcoholic orange juice for $30 per pitcher... In addition, there is service for alcohol, but for the water we have to go get it ourselves at the end of the bar? Then, my mother asks for her burger without tomato & we are told that there is an extra $2? Which makes no sense. Me & my boyfriend swap our fries for poutine. He receives a bowl with a good portion of poutine. For my part, I only had half of his portion. Also, it is important to mention that throughout dinner, it was very noisy. Because we were seated directly next to the bar & the light above us kept flashing . The owner even took the time to make a joke, but never resolved the problem. The other owner cleared our table one plate at a time, when he walked past & had a quick 5 seconds. We waited so long to pay that we had to get up and wait by the bar. Obviously me & my boyfriend dont leave a 15% tip, because there was no service & we had a very bad experience. The owner still had the audacity to chase us, threatening us that we would have to pay the 15% tip. Being arrogant, rude & threatening your customers will not solve your restaurants problem. Its in a great location, but thats all it has. Several comments are related to the service, perhaps take them into consideration :)

This restaurant has an incredible view but ruined by Marie-Claude the owner who is rude and arrogant with customers. Very ordinary food and long waits for service. Place (beach) to visit but restaurant to avoid.

This place is absolutely amazing. I went there first in 2020 when it was covid before all those restrictions and fell in love with the place, the food & drinks. Traveling from alberta i went back and brought some friends and its still amazing. Had the chance to meet with the owner, lovely people. I would recommend to everyone who pop by Magog fot a bite,a drink and give it a try.

Very good food and prices that are not exorbitant! However, poor service. The waitress did not offer us quality service. She did not distribute meals to people. On the contrary, she only threw them on the table and we had to sort it out ourselves. Same thing with water. At the end of the meal we tipped 10% and the waitress was unhappy. She let us know that she was paid less than the minimum wage and that leaving a 10% tip is disgusting. However, his service left something to be desired. All in all, the food is delicious! Perhaps it was circumstantial, but the service was excessively long (2 aperitifs finished a long time ago), some plates arrived cold, and we never had my partners 2nd aperitif :( the table chairs on the terrace were very uncomfortable - given the time spent waiting. The pulled pork burger waited so long on the plate that the bread was completely soggy, our waitress was very nice.

Very ordinary place. The view is splendid but you pay the price for it. The food is very ordinary for the price. Paying so much for so little, youre better off eating elsewhere. The staff, however, were very nice.

We really enjoyed our experience. The food was good and there was a nice atmosphere. My brother-in-law Daniel Pelletier was billed twice by mistake and the situation was resolved very quickly by Marie-Claude. She took the situation very seriously. We will definitely go back!!!

This is a place where you have to go to the counter inside to order. There is no table service and some people leave when they have not noticed the sign indicating the information to order inside. Suggestions: 1. you should put the information on each table. 2. Tipping should never be asked since it is the customer who will order and pick up the order when it is ready. Good choice for dinner and seeing the lake. Beautiful terrace.

I have been to Pub le Chalet three times in my life. In these three times, only one experience pleased me. It was the first time and I ordered poutine, it was very good. The second time I ordered this same poutine and it was very bad. The sauce was way too salty. I had the impression that the salt shaker had been there. There is therefore a lack of consistency in the preparation of the kitchen. I went again with colleagues and this time I ordered a Margarita. They once again frankly exaggerated the amount of salt present in the drink. I couldnt finish it. In addition, to eat I took the Beef Burger from the Chalet and the bread was simply burnt. My colleague ordered a poutine and he also noticed the astronomical quantity of salt present in the poutine. Inconsistent cuisine, lower quality food and frankly average service.

I ordered a hamburger for my child and the meat was not cooked well. Since the waiting time was very long and we didnt have time to wait any longer, I requested a refund. I was told that it was not possible to make refunds... Very disappointed with this situation.

We tried this place for the first time and although the view is splendid, everything else is very ordinary. The food was really average like it was old beef. We priced a steak, ribs, lobster roll and we were very disappointed for a bill of almost $300 for 4 people. We were inside and there were lots of flies and wasps after us and a million gnats in the bathrooms!! The service was very good but for the rest we have seen much better elsewhere. We wont be going back there unfortunately.

We try the Chips and Mozzarella stick to report the beach is OK. Nothing more.

Honestly a little disappointed with our stay at the Pub. Im not saying to avoid the place, just lower expectations. The view was great and so was the overall location, and the service was very nice. Its spoiled in terms of food and drinks. It was OK but nothing more: mojitos not minted and flat, thick pizza with dough proportions, topping, cheese a little strange, and steaks that were poorly cooked... The table next door was not very happy either... Probably a bad night, it happens.

Very nice place overlooking the lake, it was great! This is a service where you order inside only; the menu is limited but the dishes were very good (burgers, hot dogs, etc.). With children it is very good because there is a play park right next door.

The view from this restaurant is simply magnificent! This is the big positive point of the restaurant. I liked the food less, I had the hot dog and found the portion disappointing. There was also too much mustard for the size of the hot dog. The concept is good, but we need to review the quality of the menu to match the view!!!

We liked the atmosphere with the singer. The meal was very good and we also liked our server. My wife had the fish and chip, it was very big and good, I had the salmon, I liked it too.

We had a reservation for our group at 18h and ask politely if we could push it to 19h and we were told it would be possible at 19h30. We agree to it. When we came in at 19h15, we were told be the waiter and the owner that they were frustrated about us pushing the reservation and that we will wait a long time to be serve... at the end they refuse to serve us food... worst experience i ever had. I really dont recommend.

Arrogant service. We felt like we were disturbing the staff despite the reservation. If they didnt want to take a reservation of 20 people. They should have refused without making everyone feel guilty for just being there.

I organized a supper with my colleagues, we were 20 people. Reservation was at 6pm and we asked the guy at the door, Eric, to push our reservation. We left him the choice, because we knew that we were a group and that it might creates inconveniences but Eric told us it was ok and he agreed to push at 7:30pm. When we arrived right on time, eric took me aside and told me that he was not happy because he refused customers, because of us. I was surprised because he agreed to it. Then he told me that my colleagues better be patient because we will wait long for the food. We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for the appetizers. I went to speak to Eric because we were kind of hungry and he was super defensive, repeated that because of us he lost tables. He was condescendant, very not pleasant. We decided to eat the appetizers and leave. Suddenly, Eric was not around when we left. Very disappointed. We were not welcomed, service was long and attitude of Eric and the waitress was not right on a Customer service stand point. Food was good. But 20 people will never come back to Pub Le Chalet, never again.

The team showed flexibility for our unannounced arrival with good seating during busy times (Friday evening). The waitress was super good at managing our cacophonous orders (2 children under 10). And she spoke with the staff without hesitation and without prejudice to ensure that she provided me with an allergen-free dish. Courteous, fast and efficient service. When we went there on a Sunday, a sign said Kitchen closed. However, this was not entirely true: it was perfectly possible to order some simpler meals such as cheese sticks or fried pickles (if the latter had not been out of stock). You also have to place your order inside, a bit like in a canteen. No table service is offered. A bit surprising considering the look of the place, the menu and especially the prices. Same thing for water which, even in times of Covid, is self-service. The employees who serve us behind the bar do not wear masks on their faces. Doubtful. Once our cheese sticks are ready, we are called by microphone to come and collect them ourselves, a bit like in a fast food restaurant. Really not a particularly relaxing atmosphere to hear people being called to pick up their order over a loud loudspeaker. Finally, we consumed our rather failed cocktails as quickly as possible to put an end to this festival of confusion. We were actually seated at a shaky table reserved for barely an hour later because no one was taking care of seating the customers (so let me doubt the disinfection of the tables). In short, dont let the upscale and cozy appearance of the place fool you. If you go before 6 p.m., there is no table service and the staff is probably understaffed. It is however POSSIBLE to order certain things to eat, but you will have to deduct from all this because absolutely nothing is clear. For after 6 p.m., it might be something else, but I wont try it.

Owner who did not wear a mask... Unacceptable in my opinion in times of COVID. Good service from our waitress despite the fact that she seemed overwhelmed. To make matters worse, I got food poisoning... (for the record I ate the fried squid and salmon) Very disappointing taco plate for $18, 3 tortillas thinly topped with fish, sauce and a little garnish with none on the side. A small salad or at worst fries would have been nice. Charging an extra $2 for mayo and not notifying us before is also unacceptable in my opinion. Beautiful view, but limited meal choice for a place with such great potential... I unfortunately wont be returning.

A lovely dinner on Friday, September 3, 2021. Excellent service - smiling, friendly and attentive (despite there being only two servers), beautiful decor, superb view of the lake. I dont usually like singers, but the one there was nice to hear. My husband had the steak which was almost cut with a fork, and I had the hot dog. So, a successful evening for us!

What a beautiful place! Warm atmosphere and attentive and warm staff!!!

Great service, great welcome, great food, a big wow for my family and me!! The atmosphere was pleasant and warm and our meals were all tasty! When it got colder in the evening, they had blankets available to warm us up! In short, a magnificent discovery, we will definitely return!!

Very good for an easy beer and food stop! Pogo in puff pastry, thats a change... One of us said that his pulled pork sandwich was the best he had eaten. Limited choice of beers, but correct.

September 10 noon. Warm and fast service, good beer, excellent burger, delicious home fries, even the vinaigrette on the salad was very good! Very nice way to end our vacation. Thank you Pub le Chalet!

I hesitate to advise you to go there out of selfishness! I just found a treasure of a place! The call of the lake has brought me here. I love the sailboats at anchor, the large terrace facing Lake Mampré and the surrounding parks!!! This is the site that attracted me. Then the simple menu: fries, wings, burgers but also fish and other great finds: the taco trios the REAL Mexican recipe! the decor and the friendly welcome from the owner Eric and the singer (Friday and Saturday!) I said wow, it s for me! Great choice of Quebec gin and lots of choice of Quebec micro-breweries! A reminder of Beach club I could have been in Mexico or Costa Rica or Salt Spring in BC. It s clear that the owners (since 2018) are happy and so are their staff! It shows in the service, decor and food! I was alone on my bench but talking all the time! Well yes, run, go ahead, but always save me a place please!

Lovely welcome by the owner Marie and a great warm atmosphere. Their homemade chips are a delight and what can we say about their pulled pork hamburger. Everything was hot and perfect, very generous plate.

Cute pub with a great outdoor patio and great views. The servers were really nice but unfortunately a bit slow (about 60 mins to get our main courses) and the food was so-so.

Charming restaurant/pub! Friendly staff! We eat well there! Good variety of micro beers. And the view! What can I say about the view of the Lake... just wow! A beautiful cocktail of ingredients to have a pleasant time with friends, couples or family! For everyone!

Very cool ambiance.. family friendly,has park and by the beach. Fresh air and good for dine out and chill.

Beautiful place! Good service, sub pub food. Its a shame that there isnt more of a desire to succeed and stand out. Also, the one who appeared to be the manager is not wearing an n95 mask..
