Poutine was good
Not eatible
Grabbed a #1 on the way back to the States. It’s in a nice new rest area with public bathrooms. Posting because the reviews are so negative and everybody deserves a second chance. Now I am not a poutine afficionado and I’m sure there’s better at a sit down restaurant, but this was decent and good if youre headed South, but want to grab some quick poutine to go, or are in a rush. My young kids demolished their hot dogs in the car and we all shared the poutine. Really it’s enough food for a small family of 4. Girls working on Jan 2nd were very friendly, I dont speak French, no problem. Also, it came out fast.
Excellent
Delicious, on par with Lafleur’s and the rest of the casse croûte chains. Good service, larger food court area shared with other restos. Proximity to Couche Tard means slushies with lunch! 👍
I ordered a couple of steamed hotdogs here. A bit expensive, but tasty.
Delicious. HUGE portions. Slight wait.
Breakfast wast fast and good!
Fast service and good food.
Really disappointing, horribly expensive for a regular poutine, $10.34 and with 5 small bites of cheese, I started eating thinking that the rest of the cheese was at the bottom, well NO, ah and the cooking oil fries was due to be replaced!!! So I finally ate all 5 pieces of cheese, I should have gone and bought a bag of cheese curds at the convenience store!!!!! last time I ate here, AetW or Subway are much better,
Undercooked fries, dry burger with dry chicken and no mayo
I frequent this Valentines about once a month, because its near my house. The service there is generally poor, but my visit yesterday was the worst. All the other restaurants had lines except Valentine, where two employees were in deep conversation. I ordered two lunches, but was denied the order because it was 11:04am and lunches end at 11am. Finally, I was in line at Tim Hortons to get my lunch.
Several visits, several disappointments. The last time I arrived at 7:50 p.m. for a hamburger steak poutine, nothing complicated. I pay for my order and tip $1.50. All this to get home before realizing that I have a hamburger steak with no onions, no sprouts and NO SAUCE!!!! Last time for me!
Restaurant Valentine, one of 4 restaurants in the rest area. Kid-friendliness: Tables and games on site.
Extraordinary team!!! :)
After 5-6 bad experiences in 3 months, its over for me. Cold sausage, bad sauce in the poutine, club sandwich with more mayo than chicken that doesnt work because theres too much sauce. My father was a regular and knows Danielle well. Today was the last $25 spent on a poutine club which I put back on the counter and explained why. Didnt even offer a refund or anything. Finished for me.
employees were not trained. I asked for my little poutine at the end because the employee had forgotten and she didnt even know what poutine was. 20 min wait for 2 uncooked cheeseburgers. the franchise does not seem to pay attention to the training of their new employees nor to an on-site manager. extremely disappointing and unpleasant experience.
$18... served by the d team!!!
Very good poutine
You have to be a rare person to stop at this service area, order a small poutine and a soft drink and leave there with a $21 bill. For a couple, its $42 for a dinner at a fast food restaurant. It doesnt make any sense. Is there gold dust in their fries or is it a sauce made from truffles or is the cheese made from milk imported from New Zealand? These prices make no sense. Fortunately the service is quite fast, normal, there are so few people ordering there.
We went to lunch with our grandchildren. We ate eggs bacon potatoes. Bacon so thin that it flaked. All this to say that we are disappointed. We should have kept our first idea and had lunch at Tim Hortons. THANKS.
I had breakfast early in the morning. Nice good reasonable price.
Poutine good portion
Always good and the service is courteous.
Every day has its special during the week. There are plenty of choices though.
The lunch specials are not very expensive.
Undercooked fries in poutine
Merci.
Thats their idea of what poutine is. I swear we didnt eat the cheese before the photo.
Sodium metasulphite? It was lying around on the counter, it looks like their fries arent freshly cut. Ordinary Poutine, well just good for helping out.
Mauvaise bouffe mauvais service tres mauvaise expérience.Ny retournerai jamais.rien de positif a cette place.pas capable de faire des hotdogs comme il se doit. Pourtant pas difficile surtout que c leur spécialité..frite toute noire cuite dans veille huile. Donc a déconseiller. Aucune etoile jai ete obliger d en mettre sinon peuxpas mettre mon commentaire
The food is comparable to other Valentine franchises, however the prices are very high for this type of entry-level fast food. To give you an idea, prices are higher than at the Valentine de la Tour de la Bourse in downtown Montreal. Try the A&W at the same rest stop instead.
The eggs are good and the staff is welcoming.
Kebeqouise poutine
Quick but not cooked potatoes
Very good.
A1
Yum
The place was beautiful, I ate very well
Very expensive and not very good but good service that said
Very ordinary service, poutine not much sauce, we asked for more, phew it was hard to add just a little, cook rolls his eyes, the customer wants more, well, go ahead and have enough so no one asks me for more ...
If I could give 0 stars I would. We stopped at this Valentine on our way to Ange-Gardien for a hockey tournament. The young girl was alone so it is completely normal that the service was long on a Saturday at 6 p.m. We waited 10 minutes before our order was taken. I ordered 8 hot dogs and 1 medium fries. We were waiting in line behind everyone when the young girl gave us a closed bag to bring. I asked, can we put something in our hot dogs? (since normally and like the customer before when its time to add the topping were asked...) young girl to respond to me in a condescending tone: BIN LA.. Yer too late. I should open the bag and unpack everything. I was left speechless. I asked her if at least I could prepare them myself... Without saying a word and with attitude she opened my bag to stuff in 2 large handfuls of ketchup sachets and then left me there and left to take another order . I asked, Would it be possible to have some mayonnaise please? She did so with a sigh... So I sat down at the table next to it, unwrapped my 8 hot dogs to put ketchup in a packet and mayonnaise with a knife before repacking them and leaving by car. I worked and still work in the public as well as the 2 people who accompanied me and I have NEVER seen that. I sincerely hope it was a bad day for her and that its not always like that otherwise hello complaints and goodbye customers. I attached a photo of me garnishing my hot dogs on the corner of a table and some ketchup packets that were left after I finished garnishing my hot dogs... (Usually I put something else in my hot dogs but I didnt dare ask him more)
Yum. Snouts and hooves.
Never seen a smoke meat poutine cost so much with so little cheese and meat. It was more like a big fry with sauce.
Fast and courteous service
A cashier unable to say hello! I dont know how the personnel selection is done! In the summer I never had a problem but today February 5, 2016 at 8:45 am, I leave with a bitter taste!
Really overpriced for trios of two hot dogs. Quick and easy dinner as a couple on Saturday October 7, 2017 with each a trio of two hot dogs with fries and drinks at $7.39 for a grand total of $16.99 with taxes which is really too expensive for the very average quality of the food which remains above all fast food. We share the bill for our Malbouffian feast with you. We have no plans to return. Review written on November 4, 2017 in Salaberry de Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada.
