Went twice. Food was good in my experience, but if you read other reviews, it's obvious that quality is extremely inconsistent. Cocktails are great. Service is beyond terrible. The first time, the server didn't put in our entrees. She bent over backward to make it right, and we felt like the place was worth making a regular option. The second time, we were seated in a mostly empty restaurant and waited for 20 minutes with staff milling around doing nothing. It was a really weird vibe. We left, and they said nothing even though there were two people at the host station. Won't be back.
A cool spot in Malvern, I really enjoyed my good there. I also loved fries in my burritos 😅, I had amazing time with my coworkers and the place was really big, food options were great. Definitely, I will be back to try something else.
Awesome atmosphere. Awesome food. Awesome bourbon! Awesome staff! I wish it was closer and I would go everyday. You absolutely must stop in if you are in the area!!
This is one of my wife’s favorite restaurants so I planned her 60th birthday party here for 50 people. It was absolutely amazing. Amazing service from Gia and others. Incredible food and atmosphere. Erin was our planner and made it simple by assembling the menu and reserving the perfect area for our party. I would highly recommend that you consider this venue for your next affair or just to have dinner. Thanks to all of the staff for making my wife’s birthday an unforgettable day. Bravo!
We were in the area and hungry for lunch, stopped in and man was it a great choice! Inside is super cool, our server (Bernadette) was awesome and helpful, and food was DELICIOUS. We shared 3 apps. Hummus; classic with olives and roasted red peppers and house made pita 9/10 Buffalo Empanadas; my favorite of the 3, soft/flaky melted in our mouth good, 100/10 Prosciutto Fries; his favorite, smoked gouda fondue, caramelized onion, and cooked prosciutto, very good, 9/10 Beer section 7/10, not too many to choose from but all were great beers. They have rotating selections depending on the season, their website will say what will be next in rotation which is really nice.
I just had an incredible experience at Brick & Brew. It was my first time and I was wowed the second I entered the building. The atmosphere was spectacularly designed from floor to ceiling. My friend and I sat on the upper patio for lunch and the leather bound menus were our before us. We ordered cocktails (the strawberry fields and the Capone), we followed that with the shrimp topped deviled eggs and Tartufo pizza. For dessert they had an anniversary special Brie stuffed pastry with an apple compote. Highly recommend, very attentive staff and high quality food! Will definitely be back!
Brick and Brew has been our favorite restaurant since they first opened in Havertown. Now they've expanded and I'm so happy they did since now we live in Chester County. They've always had some of the best foods I've ever had and one of the best whiskey sours I've ever had in my life! This location has great decor and of course the food is still great. The service hasn't always been the best but it was never bad. It's been a couple of years since we've been and I think we're free for a visit but there's so many other great restaurants popping up and they all have happy hour deals so we always seem to lean towards going to happy hours at other locations. If Brick and Brew were to have happy hour I'm sure we'd be there more regularly.
My now husband and I hosted our ceremony + reception at Brick and Brew. The general manager, Steve George was so much fun to work with, he made miracles happen! It was the best holiday wedding EVER. The food was on point (we are a family of foodies) and the atmosphere completely dreamy. Highly recommend B&B for dinner and events.
Would not recommend. Staff doesnt know how to deal with diverse customers
We hosted a birthday party here and Antonio helped us organize it. Everything went flawlessly from a food and service standpoint even though there was an event going on in Malvern. Antonio, Heather, and the rest of the staff ensured that we were well taken care of throughout the event.
Food was great, service was great. Good spot, good atmosphere.
Great place for food and drink. I came for lunch (they were not busy on a Tuesday). Service was excellent and food was hot and tasty. I will be back.
We had our wedding at Brick & Brew in Malvern, PA on November 2nd. If you want the short version, everything about here is incredible. For details, start with the staff. Heather, the manager, took over as manager after we had already booked the venue. Heather is AMAZING! Kind, helpful, prompt, efficient..she s wonderful. She answered all of our questions, helped us to make our vision a reality, and was so accommodating. We re so grateful for Heather and the person she is. Chef Paul and his team of chefs are equally wonderful. The food at Brick & Brew is fantastic - everything on the menu - you can t go wrong. It s part of the reason we chose it for our venue. Chef Paul spent time with us at our tasting, ensured that we would have the food we wanted, accommodated special requests and dietary restrictions with no problem. He s a great guy and we appreciate him! The rest of the staff is just as wonderful, friendly, and attentive. The bar at Brick & Brew is huge and the drink selection is plentiful. Many beers on tap, tons of cocktails, and whatever you could want they have. The cocktails are not your ordinary bar cocktails - they are carefully crafted and delicious. The vibe and ambience is another reason we fell in love with the place. It s decorated in a very unique way. We had to do very little of our own decorating because it s already set up with such a cool vibe. If you re in Malvern, have a meal at Brick & Brew. I guarantee you ll want to go back. Thank you Brick & Brew team for making our wedding such a special day.
Perfect spot to entertain! Everything was just right. Service is fantastic, and the food was delish!! We will be back. Everyone raved about it. Vegetarian options: Great options for veggie and other dietary needs.
Great location and outstanding place for quick lunch. Their staff are respectable and treat you well. The food is good and I love the location. The balcony area is awesome. Highly recommended.
Good food, fun atmosphere.
We hosted our 155 person wedding at Brick and Brew. Erin our event coordinator did a fabulous job. The staff was absolutely incredible for the entire event. We have been told by many of our guests how great the food was, which was definitely a selling point for choosing the venue. The entire night the servers were incredibly attentive and accommodating. We are so happy we chose Brick and Brew!
Good food, nice beer and bourbon selections
Awesome place with light music that is enough to have a conversation and very good food options along with wide variety of drinks Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options
Very tasty burger cooked exactly as ordered. (Unusual in this day and age) Had wings as an appetizer. Very disappointed. Dry and salty. Had a very overwhelming Louisiana rub. The waitress was very apologetic and made sure our bill reflected our disappointment. I would return if ever in the area.
Great food, friends had burgers and pizza which was all good. Service was pleasant and accommodating. A little loud, but thats somewhat to be expected.
Pulled pork sandwich was decent, fries were good; great portion size for the price. I was a bit surprised that our server didnt know how to handle my request for an Irish coffee. I understand that it isnt on the cocktail menu, but in a place with a full bar... really? The service was prompt and attentive otherwise.
Nice place for a team outing and celebrations
This place was beautiful from the minute you drive or walk up to it. The decor is a mix of rustic and fairly garden. Food was yummy.
We had a party of 12 and there was a lot of confusion when the food came out as people order steak and burgers at different temperatures. We were shuffling plates and even the server and chef were not sure which was which. I know the steak I got was not what I ordered. Shouldn t there be an indicator to show the cooking temperature? This would have prevented the confusion when the food came out.
We were there for brunch, had the wings which were mediocre at best. Brunch menu is not super exciting, but the atmosphere made up for it. Food
Outstanding. I love a grill person who can grill a .medium rare steak, and this place does. Wonderful cocktails. We were traveling on business on very quiet Monday night but I can image the place builds every night. GREAT.
I came in for a late lunch with a friend, the restaurants ambiance is a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. The host greeted us with genuine kindness. This initial interaction set a high standard for the dining experience, and the rest of the staff certainly lived up to it. Our server, Gianna, truly made our dining experience exceptional. Her attentiveness and warm smile were present throughout the entire meal. Giannas knowledge of the menu was impressive, and her recommendations were spot-on. She suggested we try the Ribs and Burrata Special. Giannas impeccable timing, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor enhanced our lunch experience. Brick and Brew exceeded all my expectations. Whether youre celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, this restaurant promises exceptional food and stellar service. I cant wait to return and explore more of their exquisite menu.
A great place. Staff are so friendly and active, even the chefs will come and chat if you need to talk with them. Lovely atmosphere and the outside deck is very pleasant. Food is great, lots of allergy options too. Recommended. Dietary restrictions: It is clear on the menu what is df, gf or has the option to be.
Went here for a few different catered parties. Food is always excellent and service prompt.
Stopped in for lunch @1230 only to find a limited BRUNCH menu (lunch not served until 2pm wth?), flat-out refusal to accommodate. They charge a premium price for averge pub fare and force a 20% gratuity on the bill. Theyre short-changing their servers and alienating their customers who receive mediocrity from their server. Unless they change these policies, I wont be back on my own accord.
Awesome and swanky restaurant, love the way it is laid out and decorated but totally missed it on the food. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken wrap and it was so bland. The chicken had no seasoning whatsoever. The chicken for a Mediterranean dish/sandwich needs plenty of Mediterranean seasoning. I would suggest swapping out the tomatoes for cucumbers (tomatoes were tasteless and hardly red). Make some delicious olive tapenade for the wrap and take care to make sure there is a good amount of hummus and tzatziki sauce on it. I was expecting a flavor explosion. The wrap I had Thursday evening was more than disappointing. I also tried the Hibiscus Lemonade mocktail. Had high hopes, anticipating a refreshing & delicious homemade, natural drink but it was all sugar. Wasn t fresh, natural and fresh squeezed. Passing by, this place looked like it was going to be amazing and it was also very full so I thought it would be great Should have just gone to Playa Bowls for an açaí bowl.
Always a good time here. Brought out the whole family and everyone had a nice time. Kayla, our server, was very sweet and accommodating to our group of ten. The service was fast. Much faster than I expected for group our size. Give it a try if you fund yourself in Malvern.
Poor greeting, poor service, poor behaviors, poor choices, and sub par food will net you one star every time. How about that? What a concept!
Nice breakfast.
Fried pickles mostly contained the thin skin with fried breading. Crab sliders were very good.
Coming from somebody in the industry, I am saying that the service we received last night was absolutely unacceptable. My boyfriend and I sat for over 10 minutes before I asked the hostess to get us a server. Eventually, Gianna comes over and delivers us the most lackluster experience I ve had in a long time. Throughout the entire meal I was waiting for her to redeem herself or to see some improvement however there was none. She repeatedly treated us with an attitude and we felt our presence was annoying her. I understand everyone has their off days but if you can t even attempt to be pleasant to your guests, then the service industry isn t for you.
Our service was excellent, but the food was subpar at best. Cold chicken wrap that is no better than Wawa. Blistered tomato salad with three tomatoes and double the dressing needed.
Great place with amazing drinks. The food is very good, especially the deviled eggs. Definitely a spot for those who need a nice cocktail
I wouldnt know how this place is since we never had a server greet our table for over 20 min before we decided to leave..
No one ever stopped by our table so we just left. Even told the hostess, 5 wait staff walked past us. We waited 20 mins. Menu looked good. Sucks the service is so bad.
2024 Update: I miss the monthly specials, things got boring quick here. One of the best restaurant additions to Malvern! Great selection of cocktails and whiskeys and their menu changes with the season. You never get bored with the selection! I loved their short rib pizza with gorgonzola cheese. The pizza was featured in the summer and I can not wait for it to return! We got it well done, exactly the way we wanted. Regardless, this restaurant is always worth visiting! I highly recommend it.
Have been here twice so far and have such an amazing experience both times. The atmosphere of this gastropub really aesthetically appealing. The bar is beautiful and service is top notch. The cocktails we got (The Johnny and Marilyn Monroe) were unbelievable. Also highly recommend the IPA beers they offer, they have a wide selection. We really enjoyed the deviled eggs and buffalo chicken egg rolls as appetizers. We also really liked the burger and the buttermilk chicken sandwich. Our second visit we tried the pizza and that was also very fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying brick and brew. I also found that it was worth the money for such high quality drinks and food
Come here regularly with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids, but wont be coming back. Service was lousy. Took 15 mins for waitress to show, 10 more mins to just get water. Asked for a high chair for my 2 year old granddaughter that took another 15 mins to arrive. And the real sad part was no one seemed to care. But still gave the waitress a 20% tip since it will be the last time there. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly.
Great food. Outstanding service. If youre in Malvern, definitely come here for lunch or dinner
Made a reservation at least a month ago, we were celebrating my mom s 72nd bday. Specifically booked the private room because it was 12ppl including 5 toddlers/infants. Arrived to find that they messed up our reservation and there was another party currently in the room. No real solution given by manager other than planning to put 3 random high tops together. Come to find out, reservation notes failed to mention the private room request. Manager said a server took this reservation Why are servers taking large party reservations? Huge inconvenience and disappointment. We left and ate somewhere else in town. I ll never come back or recommend.
As good as the Havertown location; bigger and without the wait. Love the food and the decor.
We got the fried pickles, empanadas, mushroom pappardelle, and the fried chicken sandwich - all was delicious! The fried pickles in particular... whole other level. They were phenomenal!! Kayla was an awesome server, very attentive and caring. Our second time here and again a hit - well be back!
Lovely place to have a date. The service food and ambiance is fantastic.
Food is always delicious! Have eaten there many times and enjoy their food. Menu changes some, but never disappoints. Dietary restrictions: Not a problem. Kid-friendliness: Wonderful with kids!
Pre-theater dinner of Rangoon Crab dip, Pork Adobo Dip Sandwich and Fig, Walnut and Arugula pizza hit the spot as we headed out to see a musicall nearby. Parking: Lot is a little confusing to navigate with too many warning signs.
First time there when we went to malvern cute decorative place service was excellent and the antipasto pizza i got was really good highly recommend
I loved it. The place is beautifully designed, we loved the atmosphere and the service was great! I had the salmon bowl and it was so good, loved the seaweed salad bonus. My wife had the beet salad and loved it as well. Definitely will go back.
Parking: Felt lucky I found a spot. Food
Wouldnt go back.
This was my first and last time there. My friend and I arrived on a Friday afternoon around 2:30pm for a late lunch. There were about 5 occupied tables when we arrived and a few people at the bar. We sat by the window and a very nice server, Grady, waited on us. I really like the atmosphere and decor of restaurant. It was all downhill from there. It took 45 minutes for the food to arrive. And there was only one other table occupied along with us by then, along with a couple people at the bar. My friend ordered the Mediterranean wrap without the wrap; she just wanted the contents of the wrap on the plate. I ordered the salmon BLT. When another server brought the food, my friends plate had the wrap. She made a comment and the server offered to bring different bread. Thats not the problem. (It seems no one knew the order.) My friend just took the plate as-in. When she emptied the contents of the wrap on her plate, it looked like a a handful of lettuce with a few other things mixed in. That, along with the luke-warm french fries that had clearly been sitting in the kitchen for a while, didnt look like a $16 meal. My friend thought she could let it go, but it was so pathetic that she got up to search for someone to talk to as no one was coming to check on us to see how it was going or if we needed anything. (Clearly our faces showed our disappointment with everything.) What she found was our server working the bar and the rest of the servers (there were many) just standing around in the back of the restaurant talking. After speaking with someone, Grady brought out a bread plate of greens hoping it would solve the problem. Not. Even. Close. My salmon BLT was good. Thats the only reason I gave the food 2 stars. My french fries were luke-warm like my friends. My meal was $18. Not worth it. While eating our food, not one server came over to refill my friends empty water glass or ask if we needed anything else. I had to get up and get clean silverware from another table along with another napkin. Its as if we werent there. After going a half hour without anything to drink, I finally yelled across the room to a server who was walking towards the hostess and asked for water for my friend. She then told Grady, who was busy behind the bar, and he brought water to my friend. Why couldnt one of the umpteen servers standing around doing nothing bring the water? I wasnt even offered anymore iced tea until Grady brought the check. The check was $16 for my friends meal, $18 for mine and whatever an iced tea cost. We tipped $5.00, too generous in my opinion. $43 in all. Very very disappointing. Sadly, I do not recommend this establishment.
We had to wait. We were seated promptly enough but then... finally the hostess brought us water while we were on our phones scoping out another possible venue to dine. Our food apparently waited before it was brought out to us as the eggs were cool. We were here for a Sunday brunch. Then we waited for the checkand waited until finally asking the busser if he could get us our check...still waiting on that.
Very nice.
Good service and the atmosphere was really cool. I went at lunch so it was kind of quiet, which was nice. We got a seat super quick and food was very good.
Pizza was excellent beer selection was good
It was a beautiful building. We stopped in mid-afternoon for a drink and apps and this place did not disappoint. Waitress was friendly. Drinks and apps all interesting options and delish. Heard the pizza is really good but we didnt have it.
Didnt get to have an experience. My wife had made reservations at this place close to a year in advanced. It was supposed to be a surprise for my birthday this year. She got an email today saying that someone else was basically taking our reservation because they are paying more money and renting more of the venue. Isnt the purpose of making reservations to make sure that it is reserved? Now the other places my wife had in mind do not have any openings. This is very poor way to conduct business. If you decide to make reservations here be careful or give them a ton of money so someone else doesnt steal your spot.
The food is decent and it s a cool vibe. I usually love this place but the last few times the service wasn t great. I went tonight for dinner and it took 15 minutes for the waitress to greet us and she seemed annoyed we were ready to give her our order. The food took forever and the waitress never checked on us but checked on the tables around us. Told her we wanted the check and that took another 10 minutes. I don t think we will be back. There are so many better options in the area with much better service.
Great cocktails and atmosphere. My coworkers and I have had more of their whiskey sours than we should be comfortable disclosing in polite company. Food is also quite good, especially their burgers, but their menu is a little light on, well, light options. Come hungry and thirsty and youll have a great time however.
Nothing else to say, they change the meals seasonally, it s the best place for a bite to eat
A must go to if your in Malvern for a drink and food.
Poor service. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free Food : 5/5 |
Ehhh. Great bar spread when it comes to a preferred drink other restaurants would not have. The food did not compliment the scene at all. Brussels are a one note dish, void of color and unappetizing as it lands the table. Burnt end belly not as wed expect; smoky pieces of belly. Ended bland, effortless, hidden under a sunny egg still hugged by its raw albumin. Wings confit were soggy, not crispy as advertised via pictures. The blue cheese dressing had a viscosity of milk. Milk and blue cheese. With this, did not see a manager on the floor during our dine in.
The atmosphere this place was amazing, one of the best I have ever experienced. Our server was really nice and helpful. However the food was simply subpar. Looking at the pictures that others had post I thought it was going to be much better but unfortunately it was just not very good. It wasnt terrible, but it wasnt great.
Food was great. Bartenders friendly. But wayyyyyy too long to even acknowledge me given the staffing and patron levels.
I am single woman and went to get something to eat. I have heard great things about this place, but wouldnt recommend it to a single woman. I sat at the bar and it took almost 5 minutes before the bartender realized I was there. Even though I waved at him.2xs and he walked right passed me. Once I finally got a bartenders attention, I was served a drink. But again I was passed by for a younger crowd when asking for a 2nd. Menu didnt match on-line menu. Food was Ok. I wont come back. No vegetarian food and no vegan. I guess you must be a couple or under the age of 40 to be noticed. Vegetarian options: There arent any. Parking: Parking sucked. On a Wednesday and I had to wait for a spot.
Just discovered this place in Malvern. Def heading back in for there gastronomic offerings. Whiskey sour is NO JOKE!
Love the layout, clean & professional staff. Downside is closing hours are 1-3 hours earlier than others for facility. But therefore their kitchen closes earlier still. And the website nor automated phone info doesnt speak to when the kitchen closes on a given night. One needs to call & not get VM to verify. They need to list that, particularly given their truncated hours.
Great food and service. Two things; 1- labled handicap entrance consisted of 8-10 steps with handrails. They need a wheelchair ramp for an acceptable handicap entrance. 2- the short rib grilled cheese sandwich comes with French fries. I was told by the waitress I could have a side salad instead. I assumed it was no charge as it was in lieu of the FF- I was charged $2.00. Really?? Wheelchair accessibility: Non existent.
Great atmosphere
It was loud, very poor customer service
5/5 fantastic! Great food, great drinks, awesome bar tender. What more can you ask for? Andrew, you rock! Will be back again!
I really enjoyed my croque madame skillet but my fiancees omelet was a bit less impressive tbh. Bloody Marys looked great but werent as tasty as they looked. Still, overall a great experience and well be coming back. Looking forward to eating out on the deck when it warms up.
Bartender was nice Building was nice Food mediocre. Definitely not worth the price . Wings smelled like they were a few days, Can t believe they gave me the brisket and gave two slices both had lots of fat on it. See picture below. Ribs were not tender at all Meat did not fall off the bone like any other place would. Totally totally disappointment I am working in Malvern tomorrow. Not sure if I m going to stop there for a Friday pizza night I may go back and least try the pizza. Definitely do not recommend board meating dish. The pool pork taste like vinegar, very vinegry. They re famous cinnamon donuts they were over cooked and the dipping sauce. I m not good at all very bitter.
Flavorful salads. Great service and nice atmosphere.
Very noisy & a limited menu. Disappointed.
First time here and I was very impressed by the environment and the food. So many delicious items on the menu it was hard to choose but Ill definitely be back to try more. I was in the mood for a good burger and they delivered! The fries are different and in a good way, I finished all my fries and I rarely finish fries at restaurants. Their is a parking lot with some parking spots but I also some some on the street. Definitely worth checking out!
The location and atmosphere is perfect, especially when seated upstairs on the patio on a warm day. The fried pickles are always so incredible but the burgers were a huge disappointment. Their menu states house blend beef which tasted like a gamey steak burger that neither myself or my fiancé enjoyed. If it wasn t for that everything else would ve been great albeit expensive for the dinner portions. Staff was friendly but didn t help when we expressed our distaste for the burgers we both ordered.
Great wait staff and delicious food and drinks! Love sitting on the deck
Unimpressive overall. Pizza s toppings were uneven and mostly in the center of the dough. After 2 bites it was mostly dough. Burger was average. Fries were definitely under a heat lamp for a long time, it was soft and over cooked. We asked to change the fries but same result. Crab dip was dry, baguette was over toasted and became crackers. Deviled eggs were completely unimpressive, taste exactly like a grocery deli made deviled egg. We asked for a toddler coloring paper 4 times and finally just got up and went to the hostess ourselves.
We decided to come here after reading good reviews online, as we are from out of town. We were surprisingly taken back as the photos and ambience far exceeded the photos online. Furthermore, our server, Madie, was extremely friendly, well versed in the knowledge of Brick and Brew, and attentive. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend to anyone.
Great restaurant with outstanding service! Best pizza in town!
I would like to say that our experience was better but it was just okay. This place really is crazy beautiful with a cool vibe throughout. Drinks are good, and beer selection is good. Prices are slightly high, however. What falls short is the food. The menu is limited, and the dishes seem to be unnecessarily funky. Unfortunately, there arent enough regular dishes to cover this void. Nice place to hang out, though, I guess.
The new server (Liv) was friendly & apologized for the lack of knowledge. She recommended the excellent watermelon margarita. The pineapple one was just ok. The beers are not brewed there, but they Have ones from local as well as Ga, Oregon, etc. Large beautiful restaurant with a large bar & outdoor patio. The Shrimp Poboy came out on sliders and would be better on a hoagie bun, but overall tasted very good. The fries were OK. The burger was delicious. We would come here again if in the area
Its a nice building and they have a relaxing outside deck to enjoy drinks. We got drinks here and enjoyed the time with friends.
Parking: Free parking lot on premise Parking space
This place is amazing. The dramatic entrance is the first (taste...heh) of the class and style of the etablishment. A chunk of my time is always spent just admiring the decor. The food and drinks are excellent. Big roomy interior, spacious balcony type deck overlooking the street. Always a fun and beautiful time.
Awesome place with shabby food. Lame fries and what felt like overcooked mushy Brussels sprouts. Too bad!
Nice place. Decent beer. Decent food
My first time here and enjoyed it very much. The waitress Briar was so nice and personable. Great knowledge of the menu I am glad I went with her reconditioned.
We come here once a month for a community event. The staff is always professional and helpful. I love the atmosphere, drinks, and food.
We waited over 30 minutes to get our first drink order. Our appetizer even arrived before the drinks. While the food was excellent, the time to get a drink was way too long for the price of the food and drinks.
Wheelchair accessibility: On the other side of the building from the parking lot, they have a lift. Its not that easy to navigate once inside. Food
Appeared as thought the dumpster is a little close to the deck
Nice brewery in malvern area, nice views of the area, good beer , good place for a date.
I went for brunch on Fathers Day. This was my second visit to the Brick and Brew. It wasnt very busy either time. Food was just OK. Its not the best, but not the worst either. I personally feel that the service was lacking. I waited for refills and never got condiments that I requested. As I said before, this was my second visit, and it was a reflection of the first visit.
We visited the Malvern location recently. The Food and atmosphere were pretty good but our server was rude, disinterested and unapologetic. He was slow to greet, slow to refill drinks and edidnt write down our order which he inevitably got wrong. The manager made it right on the bill which is appreciated but the server ruined the experience.
Parking: Parking lot next to the building Food
I know it s been a few days since this happened but it hasn t felt right not to share the concern which I have also shared on facebook. My girlfriend and I were at the bar Saturday night. brick and brew has great bartenders and drinks we ve come to favor. we were having a wonderful time Drew was our bartender, no complaints on him at all, absolutely wonderful service every time. We witnessed who I can only assume is a manager or someone with authority at the restaurant throw something at the bartender. As much as I like Brick and brew witnessing something like that soured our experience, and I may just stick to the other locations if that s a common thing the malvern location has issues with. (Thank you for the quick response and I appreciate that it won t happen again but I personally do not believe this was a joke she was yelling at him as this was happening, although I couldn t make out the words it was definitely not a joking manner)
One of the best burgers I ve ever had!
One of the employees who drives their vans kept throwing cigarettes out of his window when I was behind him in traffic.
Love it here! Got the deviled eggs and the beet salad today. I have tried the pizzas before. All the food is great and so are the cocktails and beers. Big place with a bunch of tables or stools and space at the bar, and cute patio so there is no issue with finding somewhere to sit. Food takes no time to arrive. Bathrooms are clean! They also have sport TVs if you like watching but it is not overwhelming like at sport bars! there is parking in the back for free.
Really nice bar in Malvern.
Went for a late lunch yesterday 330pm (Thursday). They werent busy at all and we sat outside. Once we ordered our drinks, our waitress kept disappearing for long periods and each time brutally honest as to why : Sorry went to eat and kinda forgot about you guys Before a big table takes up my time, need anything? A server was going to Boston so they left early so I have to take care of that section too. In the end she did apologize for the lack of service but it did take away from a nice afternoon out.
Where was Steve the manger? I went in there and I normally would see him walking around but didn t. I asked the Bartender and he said he s no longer part of the company. Now I wonder was he fired? Did he quit? Cause I feel he would say something if he quit. I speak for a lot of people and say I love that man, and if they fired him, they really messed up. Also loved seeing him drive the van
Went a few mights ago .seated outside covered area nice .light rain . Ordered street corn delicious . Foot long hot dog was so so . Shrimp slider good .Brussels sprouts tasty but bit soggy . Nice evening staff very pleasant. Go youll be pleased. Vegetarian options: Brussels sprouts .see above .
They are closed until 10/10/23 for renovations.
Dont understand why the place was so empty at lunch. Food was perfect. Service was great. Drinks never ran out. Will be back
Not a bad place. Inside is large, open and has ample space. The food is tasty. I am a vegetarian and had good amount of options for appetizer. However the main course had only one pasta option and few pizzas. Overall a good place if you want to have a large gathering. Scotch was overpriced.
Great service and atmosphere. Kendall our server was so sweet!
The food all tasted very good, and the portion sizes are good for the price. I would be happy to return to eat more food here, and the atmosphere is interesting. I sat in a booth seat, but there was talk from two people in my group and two people at the table next to us about how the normal chairs were uncomfortable. The main downside was feeling rushed the whole time. My group of 4 people decided on this restaurant after not being able to get a reservation during prime dinner hours elsewhere. There was no wait to be seated here at 6pm on a Friday. Even with more than half of the tables unoccupied and an ample amount of servers for the patrons present, our whole group felt rushed from the time we were seated. I had never been here before, yet our server asked if we wanted to order our food right after we sat down before having a chance to read through the menu. When asked again, we requested to wait to order the entrees separate from the appetizers after getting the sense they would come out too early. We gave the order for our entrees when we received the appetizers, and they still arrived about 10 minutes after we got the appetizers that we were actively trying to enjoy. After we got our entrees, we were asked if we wanted the bill a few times before we took it, since we were still eating while conversing. We were there for just around an hour, and rushing our night out to catch up and relax after the work week did not help them gain any additional business for the empty tables. I might still go back sometime, but hopefully they can figure out the timing of good service. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options available Parking: There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant, and it is in a very walkable area
We love Brick and Brew - delicious food and drinks but slow service unless you re at the pizza bar (such fun!) still haven t had a reasonable answer about why we can t have coffee with our dessert at Malvern location - very weird but we make do. Wonder what the brunch prices are? I d like to go with a friend but can t without pricing since she wants to know ahead of time!
Really long wait for our drinks, appetizers and meals. The food is just ok and the mixed drinks were terrible. Skip this one.
Hostess was oblivious trying to sit a party of 5 at a 3 top. After asking for a larger table she tried to fight us on putting us at one. We pointed out that the restaurant only had 3 other tables being used in the entire place. Service was alright, nice waitress but she seemed like she was in a rush for a table that was celebrating a birthday with lots of food and alcohol. The kind of table a server would usually love to have stick around. Most of us at the table work/worked in the bar business. Last two visits have been disappointing, probably won t return. Much better places with better service and better prices.
Excellent Cocktails and waiting staff
This place is great, and I m hard to impress! We came for lunch and I got chowder from the specials and a burger. It was cooked perfectly, cooked evenly medium well all the way through but still so juicy and tender. It s so hard to find a place that can cook a medium well burger perfectly! The chowder from the specials menu was great and the fries with the burger were perfect. Our waitress and host were very friendly and service was fast. Also the decor is beautiful. Would be perfect for a fun brunch or a date. I loved it!
Food and drink were amazing. The flavors and textures in all dishes was unique and delicious. Glad we decided to stop in. Parking: Small lot on side but wasnt busy when we were there on a Tuesday night and plenty of spaces
Still the best old fashioned around.
What a lovely place to eat. Outstanding Irish Mule and grilled cheese.
Wow!!! If I could give 6 stars I would. Worth every since cent!!
Good drinks, food and atmosphere
Great food, attentive service, nice selection of bourbons.
Service and drinks were fantastic. Our server was a beast and memorized our orders and kept everything clean considering we were a party. Best whiskey sour Ive had in a good while. Beer selection was legit. Food was pretty good.
This place was so unique, from the decor to the menu options. The staff is extremely accomodating and helpful without being pushy or overbearing. The chef here is a master at layering sensations and gives each dish a complex flavor profile yet keeping it refreshing. The stuffed pineapple was insanely good. The cold, sweetness of the pineapple balanced the warm, spice to the pulled pork and the guacamole and cheese on top was the perfect savory way to compliment the dish. I would eat 10 of these if I could. The Mojito shrimp was also delicious with the same sweet/spicy layers of blackened shrimp and watermelon. I wish there was more mint and sauce and less blackening seasoning because it drowned out the other flavors. Although they were large shrimp, I dont think this dish is worth $17.50. Im glad I ordered it but I probably wont again. Overall, eating here was a great find. I have Ulcerative Colitis and cant have gluten and my server Michael went above and beyond to make sure I ordered something that I would love and wont negatively bother my stomach. I live 1.5 hours away and would drive back down here just to walk around this town and have the chance to eat here again. There are so many more things on the menu I cant wait to taste! If youre thinking about eat here just do it, you wont be disappointed.
Service was garbage
The food is always good here and the staff are always friendly and nice. The last time I was here, I got the Burrata and 4 cheese pizza and they were the two best things I have ever gotten from here. I love their outdoor area, its so nice for summer.
Short but unbelievably great menu. True gastropub.
We held a welcome baby party yesterday for approximately 50 people. The staff was so accommodating and the service was fantastic. The food was also excellent, as were the drinks. The space is great, particularly on a beautiful day like we had where the doors were open to the outdoor space. I would highly recommend Brick and Brew Malvern for a drink, lunch, dinner or an event.
Delicious cocktails
Came for early dinner to celebrate my Mom s 84th birthday. Our server, Jillian, was super patient and very helpful. Food was great, too! Thanks again.
The mussels were way undercooked and the ramen tasted like plastic $1/pack ramen. Flies were everywhere from the door being open and made for a very unenjoyable atmosphere.
One of my all-time favorite places.
This is one of my favorite places to go! Steve the owner/manager is the nicest guy and always greets us with a smile. The deco is awesome inside. Love the brick and private back room with fireplace. The cold beer and food is excellent! We love the pizza and appetizers! Its great to sit out on the balcony on a nice evening! Great location. Parking easy. Nice staff! Highly recommend!
Awesome place, awesome staff, awesome menu, definitely go here!!
Really enjoyed it. I dont know why its not packed at lunchtime. Service was great. Food was amazing. Loved the atmosphere
Went with a group. Great atmosphere, but very few gluten free options so probably wont be back until they have either gluten free pizza crust or gluten free bread or buns.
Good food, great atmosphere and excellent cocktails. I would expect a better beer selection from a brewery, but it is not bad.
We sat for 30 minutes without service and there was barely anybody in the restaurant
Friendly relaxed service, good food, casual chic atmosphere.
Nice place.
Love this place. Good quality is really good, not just bar food.
We hosted an evening cocktail hour private event here and it was a fantastic experience. They gave us a whole corner of the restaurant and the servers were great to keep drinks in everyones hands. They were flexible about what drinks we wanted to include and were very easy and friendly to work with.
I would have rated it 5 star but the noise level was too high to hear what others are your table were saying.
We hosted our wedding party with Steve and the Brick and Brew Malvern team. The party was incredible. Steve was completely accommodating with anything we wanted, brought special beers in house, and organized the space how we wanted. The staff was fantastic as well. Friendly faces and greetings, going out of the way to take cocktail orders and find us on the dance floor. Food was perfect. Cant say enough good things about Steve and the Brick and Brew team. Plan your wedding here! Thanks for the memories, John and Molly
I just sat at bar
Delicious food, and awesome service. The restaurant is beautiful. Their outside seating area is cute and quiet as well.
Great ambience - almost like a fairy tale world , great food , cocktails and live music This is my go to place to hang out with buddies and they have some amazing cocktails Johnny being my favorite They have a decent selection of appetizers , main course and pizzas
Service was amazing..the drinks were amazing and the short rib grill cheese left me speechless lol
My wife and I recently had our wedding at Brick and Brew. The food and service were fantastic. The venue was beautiful. Steve and his team were helpful throughout the process. Plenty of room for 150ish guests. We had been here a few times leading up to the wedding and the food is always very good and the drink selection is great as well.
Food is okay. Not a very big menu. Drinks are good.
My first tine dining here, and it was fantastic all around! I loved their specials for Halloween week; they all had clever names. I tried the Blair Shrimp Project, which was a small skillet of shrimp, salsa, and crabby potato hash. Perfect for one person! The cheesecake shooters were yummy too, and the donuts were great for sharing.
The food is incredible, do yourself a favor and get the prosciutto fries! The interior os awesome too, love the aesthetic. I only gave service a bit lower of a rating because every time we go, it takes a long while for us to get service to our table.
Tasty food. Very accommodating service.
Good food and Great drinks
The elegant and earthy aesthetic is ubiquitous, making your time here an experience for all ages and group sizes. The food & cocktails are elevated, accessible, and extremely satisfying. Indoor and outdoor seating available. I cant wait to come back with more friends and family! Kid-friendliness: Not a stuffy atmosphere at all! Multiple families with small children there while we were. It was great
