Wynds Point, Jubilee Dr, Upper Colwall, Malvern WR13 6DW, United Kingdom
Country-style rooms in an upmarket hotel offering a glass-enclosed restaurant & a lounge bar.
Very welcoming to walkers and very dog friendly. Lovely staff, varied menu in the lounge, and cosy surroundings. We had a great meal and would return!
We stayed as part of a group booking but wanted to stay an extra night. Susan was brilliant at rearranging the details of the booking and merging our additional night to ensure we didn't need to change rooms. John was fantastic after we arrived late at night, finding us some hypoallergenic pillows after housekeeping had gone home. Also couldn't recommend the food enough, had a great evening meal here with friends. Will definitely be back.
Popped in after a walk over British camp, found a table and ordered at the bar. The food came out really quick and was great, lasagne was spot on. The beer is also very good. There was a busy restaurant attached, perhaps I will book in for it next time.
61st wedding anniversary treat for my parents. The ambience was warm and welcoming. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and efficient. We could not have had a better experience. Wonderful location too. Friendly clientele with lots of very well behaved dogs (probably hoping for food - the smells must have been so tempting!). Choice of restaurant, bar and outside seating was good too.
The hotel bar and restaurant were all exceptional. Our room was spacious well appointed and very clean. The biggest asset to our stay were the staff. They were all very polite friendly and super helpful. They all seemed to thoroughly enjoy their jobs and that came across to us. They are what hospitality is made of. 10 out of 10. We will definitely be back. |Thanks to you all.
My wife and I were treated to a midweek lunch by son no1 and his wife. The Hotel has easy parking and access. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table. The Bar is comfortable, good seating and carpeted so no echoing racket. The extensive menu offers something for all. I had Pan Fried Cod off the Specials Board. My wife had the Crab Fishcakes, they were huge and good. My son had the Veggie Burger and his wife had a Filled Baguette. All the food was freshly prepared and tasted good. Three desserts followed; Lemon Posset, Eton Mess and Apple Frangipani. All were excellent. Good service, good value and a good, comfortable lunch location. Definitely return to sit in the Restaurant with a fabulous view.
This lovely hotel was a very pleasant surprise and beyond expectations.|Great location for the hills and the walking routes.|Quite amazing staff who are so polite, courteous and charming which in the U.K. is very unusual and rare.|Rooms were clean, bright and the beds were very comfortable (we as a family had two rooms, one twin and one junior suite which was an upgrade). Bathrooms were spacious and clean.|We’ve left off one star for the food. It was average and there’s room for a better menu for the evening diners.
Jackie and I went for a meal on Friday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Sitting in the main restaurant was such a lovely setting and we had a really lovely meal. But what made it so very special was the staff, and in particular Joe and Doug, who were just fantastic. They made us feel very special and it was a delight to witness them making all the other diners evening so very special too. This really is the place to go. Thank you so much. Andrew
Shockingly over priced.
Stopped on the way home and had a lovely meal and a drink great service very friendly staff would definitely go back again.
Over priced bland food for ridiculous prices. My husband had trio of sausages , mash and veg, they forgot the veg and the excuse was the kitchen is busy, offered to bring some out but could take a while!we said dont bother, the sausages were just a little bigger than chipolatas and probably two tables spoons of mash! All for £17.75! My veggie curry was bland and boring , rice dry and tasteless, and the nan bread straight out of a bag and been put in a microwave! For £17.95 ! Also the cleanliness was not good, the ledge behind us in the dinning room was thick with dust ! I was very shocked. Wouldnt recommend this to anyone for food, over priced and food not good at all, had better in weatherspoons! Food and drinks: Terrible
Friendly atmosphere
Perfect location friendly staff and nice atmosphere Rather expensive Service
Lovely looking place, but an average Sunday roast. Nothing special at all 2.5* rounded up to 3 for Google purposes
Used for lunch during trekking. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is dog friendly so you can enjoy your meal slowly.
Stayed nov 2nd room was lovely .when booking in on arrival we were asked what time we would like breakfast,we asked for 9am but were told that time was unavailable,so we said 9-15 fine.we duly sat down at 9-15 but our order wasn t taken till 9-35 . No explanation was offered.when it arrived the bacon had obviously been cooked an hour earlier. Checking in I noticed that the room rate was as quoted.but upon checking out it had gone up?filled in the room review with phone number.still no response. Nov 10 p jones Nearby activities: To walk British Camp. Walkability: British Camp and Malvern
Popped in for breakfast at a random opportunity and it was gorgeous to say the least. Very reasonably priced. All cooked to perfection and the service was top class. Highly recommended
Food was excellent Service warm, friendly and efficient We were a large family party of 15 and the team managed us really well! Thanks for a great lunch! Service : 5/5 |
The restaurant meal was superb quality and excellent service. Best in the area including Malvern. Car park is congested but large public car park opposite the hotel is great
Nice hotel in a great location. Good food and excellent service from friendly staff.
Terrible service and food. Invited to a Thursday steak night to find a chef that couldn t amusingly cook steak rare. After two attempts of recooked steaks, I left without eating. The first overcooked and the second raw/blue. Sides failed to be delivered and what did arrive was terrible. Others at the table also had similar issues sending food back. The service team were great dealing with the kitchen shambles however the same can t be said about management who conveniently disappeared as food started to be sent back and wouldn t come down from the office to rectify things. Shocking!
Rooms: Stayed for one night. I had the room in the front, next to the main road, but its very quiet at night. The room is nice and clean, and the bed is comfortable. Safety: Parking on site, which is good.
Food and drinks: Amazing food and hospitality Service
Lovely food and friendly staff.
Ideally located to visit Malvern Hills, lovely food, friendly staff Nearby activities: Malvern Hills walks Service : 5/5 |
Food and drinks: Excellent food. Menu changed regularly and a choice of areas to eat in. Service
All the staff were friendly and very helpful.
My partner and I have been here many times and it never fails to impress! Matthew and the rest of the team are brilliant as always. A friendly welcoming environment for families out for a great adventure
Great location, friendly efficient staff, ale good, some dishes not good enough to justify price however. 0ne dish sent back and replaced with burnt version. Some digestion issues! Nearby activities: Malvern hills a winning location, good walking area, great selection of paths from hard hike to wheelchair.
Amazing food! Wonderful walk!!
Perfect base for walking the Malvern Hills. Friendly staff and excellent food.
Had a very nice afternoon meal there in the beautiful wood clad dog friendly bar area
We stopped here for a coffee and its a beautiful Hotel
Went for lunchtime and no waiting at around 1.30 and sat to enjoy, busy though but not packed. Food is nice and doesnt take long to arrive, didnt stay as were local. Food and drinks: Nice and tasty and doesnt take long
Walkability: Used this as my base to explore the Malvern hills. Rooms
A hotel for all seasons : I have always enjoyed my visits even if only for a coffee. The menu is varied and unfortunately I always enjoy the fish and chips.
I like the place; expensive but not overly, considering the size of its grounds. Only had a meal there but all was clean and comfortable. Toilets were excellent, clean and cared for. Only gripe if gripe it be, is that the cajan chicken (for my taste anyway) would have been better served with peas instead of the feathered lettuce that irritates my throat. The cajun sauce was a little above my comfort level and a tad liquid but nevertheless interesting. The chips; very nice. Perhaps if Im that way again, I might see if they would be wonderfully accommodating and provide some peas.
Joined friends for an evening meal which was excellent. The location is stunning and the service very good Food and drinks: Food, drink and service was excellent
Walkability: Fabulous Location for walkability Food and drinks: Best veggie baguette I ve ever had, thank you chef!! But unfortunately it was the worst flat white coffee I ve ever had! Top tip to Management - you need a new coffee machine and then teach the staff how to use it!
Good honest food and service every time we have been
Nicely refurbished dining room since our last meal in there. The food was superb. Food and drinks: Delicious ,beautifully cooked food. Good service.
Had 2 lunches whilst visiting the area , food and service were excellent. Great location.
We were there for a meal which was good. Not excellent but very good. The service too was good but could be improved. A little too informal and sloppy. Otherwise a great place to stay or just have lunch. Service
Location lovely for walks from doorstep. Service was friendly and helpful
Ploughmans lunch plenty for non vegetarian
Hidden gem. Fantastic hotel in centre of the Malverns - walk out the front and youre on British Camp walking route heading south - walk out the back and youre on the walking route heading north - amazing views within minutes. Staff were so eager to please, food was actually spectacular and affordable and all made in the premesis. Breakfast was perfect. Cant fault this place. Go and support them - theyre doing a great job.
Went in here for a well deserved drink after walking the malvern hills with friends and family I very done it 2 times now it can be a challenge and you definitely need to be aware of the weather changes but yes I recommend going to the hotel for a drink or more .
We had a nice bar meal. There is a different menu in the bar from the restaurant. Service was great.
Been a few times always excellent however food has gone down hill. Literally within a month the food went from really great to mediocre. Especially the portion size. I had the same dish and in that time it halved. I asked the staff what was going on and I got a ridiculous explanation. Such a shame as everything else would get 4-5 stars.
A perfect spot for the EMFcamp and walking the Malvern hills Ridgeway and British Camp
We recently had our wedding reception here, it was perfect, I cant possibly find the right words to describe how amazing the staff were, nothing was too much, they made us feel like family. All our guests enjoyed and commented on how delicious the food was and how the service was spot on. A big thank you to Dawn for being there during the build up to the day answering all my questions and queries. We were allowed to bring our own decorations and the guys on the day got the tables ready for us and were there on hand to help with whatever was needed, nothing was too much....Perfect Thank you all so much, your all awesome. See you soon Chris and Flick
The food we had on the 6th June lunch time was not very good at all. The cooked Salmon that was served was a tail end piece which was burnt and greasy , the potatoes were also burnt pieces, The small amount source served with the salmon was stuck to the plate , It was a disappointment . We have eaten and stayed here several times , but on this occasion the food quality was very poor.
Excellent service, wonderful food. Recommended Food and drinks: Excellent food
We had been let down by a large hotel chain, so booked this an hour before checking in. When we arrived we were upgraded to a suite, as we were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Receptionist was super friendly. Booked a table for dinner, food and service were excellent, as was the breakfast. Thoroughly recommend.
Always good food and excellent service from John and the bar staff
Gave 3 stars as didnt stay in a room . Plus they are all a bit snobby. Over priced for what you get. And the kids crispy chicken is more like a chicken doughnut
Didnt stay overnight, but met friends for lunch. Would definitely go there again. Food and drinks: Very tasty food but too expensive. Side order prices were outrageous in my view. Most drinks priced high, but wine was way over priced. You definitely pay a premium for the superb location.
Rating only applies to bar meals. Food and drinks: We visited on Wednesday 8th May 2024 and ate meals from the bar menu. The Italien chicken I choose was a huge disappointment, dry and rubbery, infact inedible. Normally a member of staff should check that everything is OK with a meal, especially as it wasnt eaten, no one did. Eventually I pointed out to a waitress how poor it was. No apology, nothing.
A great location for a hotel. Excellent interior. Menu looks very good. Staff very helpful. Will return for a stay.
Currently presenting at the RHS spring show and we come across this pub on the drive from ledbury to the three counties. Really lovely pub, set in a great location. Gets quite busy, dog friendly and the food is so good we came back again on our second night here! Thank you! Rooms
Stopped for refreshments and most impressed. Great beer , views could not be improved as this is right in the middle of the Malvern Hills. We shall be back and I hope it is soon.
Really enjoyed my meal here today, great service and very tasty food.
I must say I visited this location a few years ago and it was lovely however I recently went for a Sunday dinner to which the food was awful, for starters we had the smoked salmon terrine which was very average with poor presentation, as well as the pork belly bites which were all fat and lacked the sauce that accompanied it, served with a awfully presented iceberg lettuce filled salad. for main we decided to have the roast sirloin of beef dinner which came out with 3 pieces of stringy beef which seemed to have been kept in hot water that you could compare to a school dinner Sunday roast along with a very small amount of stewed overcooked vegetables that appeared microwaved to share. we decided to leave the mains and just payed for starters and drink and left, we discussed with staff who appeared uninterested. its a real shame to see such a decline in quality and service. I will not be returning.
Thanks for a great stay and service Alan and Charles cheers Rooms: Very nice room what you need to stay overnight Food and drinks: Nice food and good service
VISITED SEPT 23. Lovely pub and area, however, the food it down. Dry chicken burger and the beef burger was also dry. Not sure how you could get that wrong. Time to change the chef? Fine for drinks on a summers day.
This was our second visit as the location is so handy, right by a car park and the hills. Staff were friendly and helpful both times. The place is also very dog friendly which we loved. Our most recent visit was 7/4/24. Good drink selection, delicious lunch. I had the halloumi hash which was great and something I ve not seen before. My partner really enjoyed his chicken salad. Would be great if the wifi password wasn t only for hotel guests as service in the area is poor and we were trying to plan our route for the day. Prices aren t cheap, quality food though.
Had a meal here which was average, to my knowledge it was suppose to be high dinning so I was disappointed. At the end of the night we struggled to get a taxi, people behind the bar gave us one number which didnt work and didnt try to help us anymore, even when we said we had to walk home. The walk home took us an hour, which wasnt fun at 11pm in the pitch black, just two girls. Wish the staff would have helped us more and the food was of higher quality!
Went for Sunday Lunchtime meal with Family. Good was great and service was excellent Thank You!
The location is ideal for anyone visiting the Malvern Hills or for anyone walking the hills and looking for somewhere to enjoy a break between British Camp and Worcestershire Beacon. Its a popular spot so although the car park is quite extensive it can be very busy. There is , however, a pay and display car park directly over the road. The hotel car park is for use by residents but for those just having a meal then parking is limited to the time that one is dining. Put simply you are not allowed to eat and then leave your car while going for a walk. Tables are available outside and those tables are dog friendly. The service was excellent and the menu is reasonably extensive offering a pleasing selection of pub food. Prices are reasonable. We were a party of four and each of us enjoyed our meals. I think as long as one does not expect haute cuisine a visit to the Malvern Hills Hotel would be rewarding Walkability: An ideal spot for a walk to British Camp or to Worcestershire Beacon. The paths are well maintained. Navigation is very easy if one stays on the main ridge but there are a number of alternative paths and it would be sensible to take a map if one wishes to explore these. The car park opposite the Malvern Hills Hotel is pay and display. Its worth paying for extra time so that you have a margin if you are tempted to extend your walk. The two heights mentioned above can be busy but walking further afield can provide greater opportunities for solitude . In good conditions stout shoes or trainers would be fine in the main paths. Sections of the hills offer little in the way of shelter so it is sensible to check the weather forecast and dress appropriately
Lovely Sunday lunch with rhe family
The Bar / Restaurant staff were very friendly, we didn t book a table but they provided one for us in a busy time of the day. The food was very good and tasty, nice atmosphere, really nice place to have a meal.
Stayed one night for valentines. The Four poster room was comfortable and warm. The bathroom was large and well appointed. The food was good. Service was a bit slow but it was fairly busy. The cooked breakfast was well cooked and the ingredients were good quality.
Awful!! Ordered 2 steak baguettes with chips. The steak was inedible. Cut far to thick and full of fat and gristle. We had to send it back. They did offer to replace, which we did with 2 cheese baguettes but they then arrived with no chips. I know it states on the menu that apart from the steak baguettes the rest dont come with chips but as we had ordered the steak baguettes to start with you would have thought they would replace the chips. For a place that seems to have a good reputation the food is very poor and not cheap. £15.95 for a steak baguette or £10 ish for any other baguettes with an extra £4 for chips.
Food here used to be really good, but as the prices have increased over the last few years the quality has taken a massive dive. The burgers used to be home made on site, now they are cheap fatty cash& carry style. Sunday roasts used to be generous, now its thin beef as if it came out of a birdseye packet. Chips used to be tasty, now they are quantity over quality . Bring back some nice shoestring fries if you have to go frozen and not home made The drinks are always good though. Coffee is nice, good selection of wines. The one thing that still remains outstanding is the selection of wye valley beers and how they are kept. Nicest pint of HPA or Butty in area
Great place great staff and service food was nice had the roast
We went for Mothers Day for lunch which was disappointing Food and drinks: The hotel does food between 12 midday to 9.00pm. Our booking was mid afternoon clearly between lunch and early evening meal. The service was slow even though both the restaurants only had a couple of tables with people at and were seated in the main bar. We ordered for the Mothers Day menu two roast beef and one place. Sadly the meals were not up to scratch roast potatoes had soft skins due to being warmed up, the cauliflower cheese was the dregs left from lunchtime about a dessert spoons worth on each plate and the size of the place very small for what they were charging. For dessert the bread and butter pudding was served fridge cold. So a very poor meal overall.
Great place to stay, eat & drink when visiting the Malvern
First class service and food. Very attentive staff.
Brilliant service with efficient and professional staff. Food has really changed and is fabulous.
Always a great meal here. Lovely welcome, warm and comfortable restaurant. We all enjoyed our lunch. Free car park on site.
Very friendly staff & good food Nearby activities: Good walk up British camp just across the road Service : 5/5 |
Good enough location, but busy bar and bar food is not served in restaurant.
Food and beer is great
The manager is a psychopath. Utterly rude to his own staff and customers. Cant handle a busy bar, in the wrong job.
Food and drinks: Lovely works Christmas Dinner. Staff were great Service
Super Malvern Hills location, great food, decent bar. Top breakfast.
Such a lovely place to stay for a getaway
Super dog-friendly, welcoming staff and the perfect balance between a pleasant dining area without animals and the huge lounge bar next door where they are welcome. Comfy rooms with the most gorgeous walks on the doorstep. Will come again. Walkability: Those of us with good mobility or not chose from a variety of paths, either quite steep but with good steps and surfaces, or more gentle paths.
Lovely surroundings staff and food Warren my dog wont go anywhere else.
Wonderful country hotel in a fabulous location In the Malverns
Had the junior suite was upgraded and was so beautiful best room ever stayed in was immaculate friendly staff beautiful breakfast whole experience was just perfect and had a walk up the British camp took in the sunrise brilliant location
Lovely lunch with the family. Great food as well as service, & in a beautiful location.
Christmas Fayre... fail! We booked a table for a family meal on Christmas Eve to have the Christmas Fayre as we werent having a Christmas dinner at home. So, imagine our disappointment when were we told that we couldnt have the Christmas Fayre as we hadnt booked. However, we had booked back in October but the person talking the booking incorrectly entered the details, so we didnt have the full fayre as wed planned. Although the hotel have acknowledged the error, it didnt take away the fact that the meal wasnt as wed hoped, as we couldnt have all of items we wanted from the Christmas Menu.
Food excellent service excellent restaurant lovely
Great, family run business, always welcoming with good food and a smile. A compulsory stop when walking the hills.
Nicely run independent hotel. Friendly staff and the foods very good. Room I stayed in 302 was slightly cold as the radiator never got much above cool.
Stopped for lunch after a long Hills hike, very busy & I can understand why. I had the burger, my friend the fish & chips & both were superb.
Thank you to Malvern Hills Hotel and Restaurant team for a fantastic family celebration. Perfect location for the Malvern Hills
3rd time we have stayed at this beautiful hotel. Great rooms friendly staff good food with a special mention to Joe in the restaurant such a great and friendly young man so so welcoming and also suesann on reception great welcome and so friendly well done malvern hills hotel
Stayed here for two nights with friends. What a superb location for walks and exploring the area. The staff are so friendly, with a special shout-out to Joe who gave exceptional customer service throughout. Pros: Customer service. Location. Comfortable rooms and beds. The Full English breakfast was perfect being very filling, but also great quality. The sausages were so yummy!! The continental breakfast had a good mix of fruits and cereals. Dinner was also a great mix of delicious dishes and scrumptious desserts. Also a nice mix of drinks on tap. Cons: Nothing really. Wouldn t hesitate to stay here again.
A great place to stay if you are exploring the area. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were just great. Lovely rooms and a very nice restaurant.
Excellent service very friendly staff
Really nice place for a couple drinks and food after a lovely walk round the hills
Very good service, excellent spot for exploring British camp at Malvern.
I took my neighbour for a birthday meal, she was 85 and we both had a really lovely meal , the young lad who served us was wonderful, very friendly and helpful he even put a candle on my friends sweet
Its a lovely pub and always busy. Litetally could not fault the service, great friendly staff. However ordered a baguette for lunch.. and at nearly £9 for a baguette with crisps, i was disappointed. There was minimal meat in my ham and tomatoe sandwich, and my partner was disappointed in his roast beef. Shame really because everything else is great.
Just come back from a lovely weekend away from here, everything was spot on, the staff there are amazing, great attention to detail, very friendly, nothing to much hassle!! Would definitely want to cone back again!! Perfect site to walk up the malvern hills too.
Stopped off here for a Sunday Lunch after climbing Worcester Beacon, very busy but the chap behind the bar was more than helpful in obtaining a table. Accepted dogs too and good Gluten Free options on the menu, would recommend.
We love this place. It is cozy, friendly and clean. The food is always great! The perfect location after a long walk in the hills.
Expensive food for what it is
In one word outstanding excellence (OK, in two words). Room 106 is spacious and airy with a bath you can almost swim in and a shower room to boot. The welcome on arrival is warm welcoming and personal truly professional without seeming to be professional at all, and outstanding. Dinner, taken in the restaurant was served well tasty and continued the theme is professionalism without effort without being intrusive or contrived. I am truly sorry, I dont have a bad word to report. Thank you TMHH&R for making my return to Malvern after exactly 56 years and on my 67th birthday a visit to remember and for all the very best reasons.
This hotel is a gem. Love it. Bedrooms and ensuites are beautifully designed, comfortable, spotlessly clean. Staff are great, helpful and friendly. And the views, walks, stunningly beautiful, a little bit of heaven and magic combined....go, look at their website. Book direct. Rates are competitive including breakfast. Bar or restaurant menus are great. Stayed here now twice, the longest stay 4 nights. Exceptional. Rooms: Designed with care and attentuon to detail. Clean. Modern combined with classic interior design reflecting the heritage and beauty of the spot. Nearby activities: Fab walking. Lots to do and see also in Malvern, Ledbury, Tewkesbury. Even a Budhist Temple in Great Malvern...Bright Earth, or further journey go see Eastnor Castle, if you want to experience something different and learn. Safety: Easy to walk into the hotel and on ground floors. Few steps on landings. Check with hotel for disabilities. Food and drinks: Great cuisine for all, options for gluten free. Although limited, options for gf, staff are very helpful and understanding. Dinner was lovely, even with gf challenges. Only suggestion to chef ( who is great) maybe, more vegan options or pasta..gf option? Noteworthy details: Great parking. Very pleasant surroundings.
Went for dinner, it was ok, a bit overpriced for what it was, and not up to par to the ambiance of the hotel, the steak and ale pie was quite bland, and lasagne a mush in a bowl.
Quite overpriced as expected, food was not the worst but won t give it 10/10. Service was amazing tho.
The food isnt that great as my burger was wet bun was soggy
Food and drinks: Inviting, professional & great ambience & good service. Exent food & drinks. Highly recommend, dog friendly. Rooms
Stopped for drinks at midday. While at the bar a group of walkers came in. One lady had a problem with her shoe and the bar staff were really helpful. Went above and beyond. Weve eaten there before and the food was excellent. Will be going back! Walkability: On the Malvern hills, its a lovely place for long, short or medium walks. Or just park there and enjoy a meal/drink inside or outside
Had a meal here. The food was very nice and the service at our table was excellent thanks to the young gentleman who was allocated to us. A rare occurrence these days. He will go far.
Loved our one night stay. Perfect location at the foot of the British Camp. Updated rooms. Great !
Food and drinks: Breakfast was great. Evening meal was not good. Would not have a Evening meal again. Rooms
Yes busy and great surroundings Room was very clean and tidy with four poster bed, and big modern bathroom, and my dog was allowed to stay, Fantastic Food and drinks: Plenty of options Noteworthy details: Location
Brief but wonderful stay, room was amazing and both the food and service were great
Had a nice walk on the hills and stopped for a pint and some lunch. Food was excellent as was the pint. Very friendly staff with excellent service.
Very disappointed, ploughmans lunch was not anything like a traditional ploughmans, and was not enough food to fill a sandwich, for nearly £13 pounds. small amount of bread, no butter and £4 pound for a pint of coke which had half the glass filled with ice. Rip off, wont be returning
Lovely base for a couple of days tramping the Malvern Hills. Really comfortable rooms, good food and outstanding service from friendly staff. The patio area is perfect for unwinding with a cold beer after coming off the hills. Stayed here several times now.
Ideally placed for post trek refreshments.
Lovely location for lunch in the sunshine. Efficient service.
Great place, nice outdoor seating
Great lunch. Vegetables in particular cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. Great service too!
Located in a fantastic place, it looks nice enough from the outside. But the interior is really superb and surprisingly high class. Absolutely enjoyed being there if only for a short while. Also cool and refreshing in a hot summer afternoon. Nearby activities: Makes an excellent break at Malvern.
Lovely restaurant and food. Didnt stay overnight.
Fantastic location, Perfect for our Wedding Reception. Joe and his staff could not do enough for us and always with a smile
Only ate. Good food, enjoyed the 2 hours we spent there Walkability: Set in Malvern Hills. Beautiful spot, walks from the door Service : 4/5 |
A family favourite of ours. Deliciously cooked food, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. We will always be returning customers :)
Very clean and tidy pub. We only had a drink outside but will return another day for food. Service
Nice location and good food and drink. Worth a visit after walking the hills but can get very busy so ensure you book
Beautiful area
Great place, great food, fantastic staff well looked after . 5 .
Had lunch with family it was excellent. Food was wonderful service excellent and a reasonable price.
I didnt stay at this hotel but attended a wedding reception which was very good. Food was delicious and so was the waiter service.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, good food. Nice room, lots of space. Food and drinks: Great food, good choices. Rooms : 5/5 |
Great location miserable senior staff
5.50 for a lime and soda...absolute robery and no discouragement to drink and drive....why go there?
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be back. Rooms
Terrible food. Ordered the trio of sausages. Mash, lumpy. Veg beyond basic, boiled with no seasoning. Sausages anaemic, and lacked flavour. If I was a betting man ild put money a microwave was involved. Gravy, watery and lacked any depth. Service very good.
Great, friendly staff in a glorious location
Only stopped for coffee here, but the service in the bar was quite exceptional - so friendly, cheerful and efficient.
Very attentive and friendly staff food is good too
Only a brief visit so cant judge properly, but it was not busy, so served straight away, good banter with the bar staff, youll find most patrons speak the queens (or kings) english, the toilets were clean and tidy, free parking for customers, our cousin was staying 3 days and said she was happy with everything at the hotel, its a lovely part of the UK based at the bottom of british camp with walking routes dotted around
I booked a room for trainer at this hotel who was flying in from Belgium for a week. unfortunately due to circumstances beyond anyones control, all flights into and out of the UK were cancelled. When we got in touch with the hotel to request a partial refund, they said NO. Guess we will be using a different hotel for our business travel. Update: after ringing the hotel, they were able to sort something out for us. So i am changing my review to reflect the customer service.
Amazing hotel, amazing staff. Will definitely go back
Clean, pleasant and professional. Food was sound and Hereford Pale Ale quite acceptable! Second visit as good as the first. Thanks for help with Smiths taxi to Malvern. Service : 5/5
Great hotel in a wonderful location staff excellent. Nearby activities: It is perfectly located for walking on the Malvern Hills. Rooms : 5/5 |
Lovely old pub attached to a dining area. Great food and choice of drinks. Walkability: lots of walks near by. on a hill. Service : 5/5 |
Excellent hotel. Lovely staff. Ideally placed for walking and exploring the Malvern Hills. Rooms: Very good but note the hotel does not have a lift but there are some ground floor rooms. Nearby activities: Malvern hill walks. Morgan Car factory tours. Worcester shopping and sightseeing. Croome Court National Trust property. Food and drinks: Excellent. Noteworthy details: Sir Edward Elgar s family graves nearby.
Great weekend The service was fantastic, food was very nice. The room was exceptional very clean. Rooms : 5/5
Visit regularly for lunch and coffee. Always excellent. Staff go out of their way to help I m a difficult customer food-wise! (Garlic allergy!). Very dog friendly. Food served all day. Sunday roasts are fabulous. Relaxed in bar area, smart in restaurant (dogs not allowed in restaurant area, but same menu served in bar anyway).
Frequent visitor, Rudely told wifi is just for residents although spending >£40 on a bar meal. Back to being arrogant to customers who supported them after Covid. Try the cafe opposite instead.
Had a lunch here with friends in the restaurant so had to choose from that menu( as opposed to the bar menu) I had a turkey Christmas lunch and sticky toffee pudding with icecream. Service was very good.
Great hotel , clean rooms and attentive staff ,good food at reasonable prices. Good selection of beers and local ales. Dog friendly and a great base to explore the Malvern hills.
Paxliked it
Food was excellent, pan fried duck with chicory beautifully cooked. Look out for the salted caramel creme brulee if still on the dessert menu - delicious! Great views from the restaurant too - recommend the walk opposite to the camp fort stunning scenery.
Went for Sunday lunch, sadly wasnt impressed. The food was average at best, I certainly wont be returning.
Very busy hotel
Stayed for 2 nights, mid-week. Really enjoyed our stay, the room was fabulous. The breakfast was good, even the coffee was nice, unusual to find good coffee at breakfast . Ate in the bar area on both nights, the pub grub is good.
Excellent service on Sunday at lunch beef could have been more tender probably cooked for too long. Otherwise very memorable time.
Always a fab cup of coffee/tea and cake. Plenty of parking. Roaring fires in winter and gorgeous outdoor area in the summer. Well worth a visit.

Went to the Malvern Hills Hotel to celebrate my parents 60th Anniversary. The food was great, the service was brilliant, the venue was fantastic, many thanks for making it such a great night!! Service
It was my first visit and I would visit again it is a place where the hill walkers meet up ? Only stopped for a drink and a meal I enjoyed it and will visit again
Delicious food, great service, friendly and welcoming staff, and dog-friendly in the bar.
Male member of staff extremely cold when stating that prams are not allowed in. Always find the customer service from the two male members of staff to be extremely poor. They come across as miserable and unwelcoming.
Popped in with young kids for a light lunch. It was a busy day but the service was efficient and polite. Great filled baguettes and cheesy chips and scrumptious desserts.
Great location, friendly, good food, very tidy and clean rooms, comfortable nights, great breakfast, well kept bar and ales, ideal for walkers and naturalists. Large car park for customers and easy access.
Sunday lunch only. Not staying there Food and drinks: Sunday lunch. Sadly poor. 2 of the 4 meals chewy fatty grisly beef. Service forgot Yorkshire puddings, brought stone cold ones when told. Reported the beef issue, no apology, just Ill tell the chef. Betting no such thing said. Service was poor. I wont be rushing back any time soon.
Always a pleasure to stay here Food and drinks: Great dining in all areas. Bar is dog friendly. Christmas here is lovely Rooms : 5/5 |
Nice ambiance good food, location, beer, large car park.
Fantastic weekend break. Second time there. Lovely. Staff brilliant. We will return Thank you
Wonderful vibe, great food and company. Thank you. Service
Had a family Christmas party here with several members staying overnight. The staff were really welcoming, family said the rooms were comfortable and roomy. Restaurant experience was great, the only thing I would mention is condiments should be made available before the food arrives, we were waiting with hot food for several minutes but that was a minor thing. Bar staff were really accommodating, there were quite a number of us and they didnt mind us pulling tables together so we could all enjoy ourselves. Overall an excellent visit. My wife and I are local so well be visiting again for sure :)
