Definitely the best curry house in Malvern! Food always superb and a great atmosphere and service.

Consistently great food - a must visit if you re looking for tasty Nepalese or Indian dishes. Great quality ingredients, generous portion sizes, wonderful flavours and friendly service. 10/10!

Fantastic curries, friendly and professional staff. Also, the ice cream desserts (we had the coconut ice cream and matka kulfi) were a perfect way to finish the evening. Quite probably some of the best curries weve ever had.

We got a takeaway from here. Big menu and easy to order online. Lots of Nepalese dishes alongside your classic curries (Bhuna, Dansak etc). Good food and reasonably priced.

I ve not yet eaten here in person, but every time we ve ordered delivery the food and service have been excellent! The momo, vegetable Manchurian, Gurkha Special, and mango curry are all top-notch. Dietary restrictions: Their menu has a very clear and comprehensive allergy guide for each menu item.

We had a large table for a family celebration and had a great evening. The food was fantastic. The best curry Ive had in years. From the poppadom sauces, which were delicious to a tasty lamb samosa and a fabulous curry. Will definitely go back again.

What a wonderful experience me, my family and friends had at this restaurant. Service was on point with very friendly and polite staff. The food was even better and really met the standards of an Indian and Nepalese fine dine. A must go place that will not disappoint.

They are good at noodle and momo ( dumplings) , paneer dishes but forewarned their spice is too hot even for an Indian. Rice dishes not great not recommended. Staff are super friendly gave me lots of yoghurts to cool me. Vegetarian options: Lot of vegetarian dishes

By far beat Indian Ive ever had... The service was exquisite couldnt fault anything, clean and tidy the staff were like a well oiled pit stop.

After a day out shopping in Swindon, we decided to come home and have a meal at Flute , however they were fully booked, so we went next door to Gurkha Chef So glad we did, as the food was excellent and the service impeccable. Gurkha Special with chicken was perfectly spiced. Poppadoms not greasy and the Cucumber Riata cool and refreshing. Couldnt fault anything. Highly recommended.

Wow what a difference two weeks makes. Had a great experience two weeks ago and as such decided to order another take away on line tonight. Ordered at 430pm for a 630pm pick up Arrived at restaurant spot on 630pm - guy on desk seemed confused and couldn t recall our order !! He eventually located it and we received it 15 minutes later than we had ordered - it for disappointing -but not a show stopper as they were Very busy. However once we got it home and started dishing up .. it was: Simply - YUK our £20.25p take away was cold / burnt and VERY bland. Certainly nothing like the reviews we have read. Nor was it anyway on par with our meal two weeks ago. PS / tried several times to ring and voice the above to management . However we were told sorry line is really poor we are very busy can you ring back later ?

Superb food. Fast delivery and the food is always piping hot. We have tried six different meals and every one was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Fabulous food with a variety of special dishes as well as traditional. Flavours were spot on and very well executed. Best Nepalese/ Indian food we have ever tasted. Amazing 1st years anniversary meal . Definitely the best one in Malvern! Best book ahead as it gets really busy.

Food was tasty. If you sat me down blindfolded here (Nepalese) or any other good (Indian/Bangladeshi) curry house my uneducated palate would be hard pressed to tell the difference. Worth a visit despite this, we had a good night. Parking: 3 minutes away up the hill.

Me and my partner visited this restaurant Friday night and ever since he has been violently sick and had severe stomach cramps. The food was very oily and left a horrible film in our mouths. Its safe to say we did not enjoy our meals and left most of mine and we wont be visiting the place again. Staff were lovely and very quick service sadly food let them down.

Wow, our first meal from Gurkha kitchen, and most definitely will return. Couldnt fault anything. Great website is easy to navigate, gives a good estimate for delivery time which was spot on. Food was delivered piping hot, flavours in the food were amazing. Cant wait for the next one.

Great menu, great food

The most amazing and flavourful Indian style (Nepalese) food Ive ever had. Not sure I want to ever go back to a traditional Indian restaurant after this...its that good! We had the most tender lamb Royal Tawa (#32) and the king prawn Jomsom (#42). The mix of spices was perfect, allowing you to enjoy the flavour of the meat/fish and not be overpowered by the spices. Well be back soon.

Busy on a Saturday evening, nearly all tables occupied. Friendly service, ordered the Chicken Lollipop and Lamb Special Tawa, all very good. Be warned, the Tawa is quite spicy.

It was our first visit to Gurkha Chef in Great Malvern and were really pleased with the food quality , restaurant ambience and service of the restaurant staff .Even though we didnt had any reservation but the staff gave us a nice table and served us really well although they were busy on Bank holiday weekend. We had veg momos, veg manchurian, dal makhani, and mango kulfi . The taste was really good and would love to come back .

Delicious food

I would like to thank the staff, and especially the chef for giving us an amazing meal before our trip to the theatre last week. I have now recommended the Gurkha Chef to several of my WhatsApp groups and my family and hope to walk in the Malvern Hills shortly, and then eat there again in the early evening after a walk

Ive had several takeaways from here and tonight we tried the dine in experience and it didnt disappoint. The food is excellent and the service is everything you would expect from this wonderful Nepalese restaurant. I cannot recommend the Special Tawa and Kathmandu rice enough they are my favourites from the menu the chilli chicken starter is also delicious. Cannot wait to come back again. I wish I had more pictures of the food but I was too busy enjoying it and forgot.

This is my favourite restaurant in Malvern. I once took a party of 11 grumpy middle-aged blokes here and they were all delighted with the high quality of cuisine and the happy smiling staff, who were attentive and efficient. The decor could do with a refresh though. It does look a bit bland inside. Notwithstanding this 11 grumpy middle-aged blokes were transformed into 11 happy middle-aged blokes thanks to the Gurkha Chef! I wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend this restaurant for a night out with friends and family.

The service is very good, there is always someone nearby to bring you any extras but with discretion. The staff are so very friendly. Our most favourite dining venue by miles. Very busy Saturday night. Very noisy. Service slow. Sadly, my lamb dupiaza was bland. Didnt look right - Very grey and without expected green Peppers. Rice was wet/oily and its a shame that the mixed kebab starter doesnt come on a sizzler anymore, but on a cold plate with half cooked onions. However, by contrast, my husband enjoyed a lovely special biriani. Full of taste with a good side vegetable curry

Best lamb I have ever had in the Special Tawa and I have travelled extensively in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal (I have managed University courses as well as going on holidays). Its a shame that you cant get the yak meat in the UK. Dietary restrictions: Well documented on the menu.

Went early on a Wednesday night for our first visit. The place was packed and buzzing! We were welcomed warmly and staff were friendly and polite taking our order. The food was really very good. We had a mix of veggie and meaty stuff and it was just great. One of us mentioned we loved their exceptionally good mango sauce and they proudly gave us a couple of pots of it as we left! Will definitely be making regular trips to this little gem.

Best curry in Malvern for us. Our friends also say the same. Having grown up in Brum and the West Mids I ve visited hundreds of Asian eateries over the decades. My top is Indis in Bournemouth, followed by Shenapour in Hagley and Gurkha Chef. My wife really struggles with spicy food, but she encourages me to visit here.Give it a whirl.

Great Nepalese cuisine served (with classic Indian dishes too) by some very friendly staff. We had a great meal with some really interesting dishes (I had the Gurkha Special which was gorgeous, lots of flavours with a good amount of spice). My wife had the mango chicken. A bit sweet for me but to her taste. My son had the Palpali lovely! Could do with a bit more atmosphere but the good food and warm hospitality made up for it!

1st time visit and weve definitely found our new favourite. The best in the area.
