Excellent wood fired pizza

Omg! A+++++ Teos hosted a private function for us today and it was superb! From early communications, coordination, set up, service to pack up, and the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you Sam for your wonderful service and the team at teos making it all comes together!!

They have the best pizza in Melbourne, the dough is light and delicious and the ingredients they use are clearly quality. The pasta is really good and fresh, I tried pasta with pumpkin sauce for the first time and it has clearly become one of my favorite dishes in the world! The waiters are really attentive and very friendly and were 100% right with their recommendations, also mentioning the guy at the bar who made us a really delicious mojito and a limoncello spriz. Without any doubt one of my new favorite restaurants!

Omg!!!! If you are looking for amazing food, great flavours, and excellent service this is a place to go. My fave so far was the lamb parppadelle and desert the pumpkin donuts. Food

We sat outside. Our table was not clean, dusty. The problem is that the waitress did not clean and set the table when we sat down. We had to request. The pizza was disappointing not piping hot out of the oven . Dough was soggy. Sadly I wont be returning and I cannot give a recommendation. Needs a polish up.

Food took a long time to come. The pizza was average. My friends enjoyed their pastas though.

We ve tried Teo s a few times and the food is pretty good, but I can t go past Grazia for pizzas. But it s a popular spot and caters to families and large groups

Extremely disappointing spaghetti marinara. Probably the worst I have been served. Pasta was undercooked and barely luke warm, sauce ordinary, and seafood underwhelming and frugal. My dining companion had the calamari which was 80% batter and chewy. I have had pizzas previously at this restaurant and they were quite good. Disappointing to see how the food quality has dropped. When paying the bill I mentioned to the manager our food issues but he couldnt have been less interested. So many better options in the Malvern/ Armadale area.

Booked a table here for an early dinner for 5 people. When we arrived the place was nearly empty. We had our 90 y0 mum with us. We were told we could only have table with high bar stools which were impossible for her to sit in. We asked for a lower table but we re told no. Appalling service..not recommended.

Ordered via Uber. Food ok quality. But not good enough, or appropriate portions, size, for their expensive price tag. Will not order from them again.

I typically fine good wood fire pizza is lacking in the Malvern/ Glen iris area. However Teo s is hands down the best in the area if you are looking for a wood fire pizza and a spritz or two.

We went to Teo s Malvern. The service was terrible, the food came out cold and tasteless. It was a Saturday night and not even a third full. A real shame as since opening this was always a great place to go. Don t bother !

Pizza was very tasty, not soggy and well cooked in a top grade wood fire oven. Service was respectful but food knowledge could be better. I m not sure I d need to go back but it is one of the better traditional pizza makers in the area so would be worth a visit. No BYO unfortunately.

Great food and nice staff. I just feel a bit off with watching front cashier staff handling cash and then handling meat with pizza without washing hands in between. I ll be back, but I prefer good hand hygiene.

Good vibe at Teos, darkish lighting adds to an intimate atmosphere but plenty of space. Wood panelling and green theme indicate a classic aesthetic that parallels the cuisine, traditional Napolitano pizza made to the exacting standards that has come to dominate the Melbourne scene. The capricciosa whilst heavy with ingredients was surprisingly light, probably due to quality of the dough prep, execution was excellent. Staff are attentive and lovely in equal measure, I will return.

I felt I kind of had to, because to be honest, I had a great time at Teos. My family took my old man there for his 75th birthday and we were blown away...Italy comes to Malvern! The pasta is made in-house, soft, fresh, texturally a wonderland...and then its covered with sauce! Not exactly reinventing the wheel...but certainly reinventing my love of pasta. Classic pizzas too, fluffy dough with a crisp crust and a good cheese to sauce ratio. The drinks, the desserts and the service topped everything off...I felt like Id been topped off and needed to be rolled out. All for a fair price! As they say in Salerno, BellySimo! See you again!

This local pizzeria never fails to impress. Good vibe. Staff are friendly, attentive and responsive. Authentic, reasonably priced food. Definitely going back. Wood fired pizza and pasta are first class.

I ve been reluctant to try pizza after being in Italy not long ago and Teo s did not disappoint. The food was bloody delicious! Reminded me of being in Florence. All three dishes we tried were amazing! Staff were friendly and service was excellent. I recommend the lamb ragu pappardelle Bellissimo

Although I drive past multiple times a day, we only went because of our association with Glen Iris Gladiators. It is now our favourite for special occasions and our regular local. Kid-friendly and friendly in general. Food is delicious, and service is friendly and attentive. It s not perfect but they rectify issues with charm - warm champagne easily replaced and apologetic. Unlike a particular pasta restaurant in Malvern I ve reviewed, I highly recommend Teo s.

We ordered for take-away mushroom, potato pizza and added pork sausage. The base was good, but as a whole absolutely flavourless, not worth the $32 spent.

Overpriced pizza., entree calamari (Very small even for entree) ,very basic mixed lettuce salad with nothing else, a beer, two wines...a sparkling water we didnt order $120.00 includes 10% surcharge for weekend!!! A weekend surcharge?? Food

I have been going to Teos at least once a month for the last year and they always deliver an amazing meal! I was delighted that we could bring our puppy to sit outside because not every restaurant offers this. Selfishly, I didnt want to leave a great review because I love having the availability to book, but the secret is out...Teos is amazing!

Delicious home-made spaghetti cooked al dente just like in Italy, we tried the house special and it was sensational sea food spaghetti with pancetta and vegetables throughout. The pizzas were also delicious with a truly Neapolitan base and generous topping. We had the eggplant parmigiana ( vegetarian bliss) and the white devil ( spicy salami)and both were nice and light and very easy to eat. Sweet and soft zeppole( donuts) to finish up with! Would recommend to try the same!!

Have eaten at the Highett Matteos many times but now I go to the Malvern restaurant as it s closer to my home. Best Italian style pizza I ve had in Melbourne. Highly recommended!

Pizza and drinks on the street great all day/night - such a vibe! The best in this part of town. By miles actually. Such an ACTUALLY GOOD addition to pizza and pasta culture not just the standard pretentious Instagram fakery. The pizzas are high tech and old school at the same time clearly designed and executed by master chefs at their game. I could come back on a weekly basis! Thanks Matteos team!

I always walked past this place, and it looked and smelt amazing. Finally got to trying it out - and it has delivered! Delicious pizzas and pastas, and even some Bodriggy on tap if you eat in. Highly recommend.

Was served regular pizzas instead of gluten free pizzas as ordered. After an ordeal at Emergency, had to make a follow up phone call to speak to the manager (despite being told I would receive a call); only to be asked to go back to the restaurant to speak to the manager about the issue I had. Poor service and management protocols. Definitely not recommended for people with dietary requirements!

On arrival, it was evident that there was a problem with our booked table, and when questioned the manager said to embarrassed wait staff put them in the back room !! It wasn t a great experience, only view was of high chairs & stored items, surplus chairs etc - no ambiance at all! Weren t given the wine we ordered, service pretty ordinary - pizzas were ok, good base & tasty but covered in rocket - overall ok but not great

Advanced warning - wear comfy pants as you will not want to stop eating! So good. The pizzas are amazing however it was the entrees and sides that took it to the next level. Highly recommend. The staff are super friendly too!

I ordered a magherita pizza for takeaway from this place. I thought the pizza was ok but was slightly overpriced. Their customer service is good and staff were friendly.

I thought I was in Naples, when presented with my pasta and Pizza . The pasta was Al dente and Pizza superb. In addition the service was attentive and prompt. They provide a good mix of pasta dishes on the menu, as they do for pizza selection. Plenty of options for drinks also. Prices were extremely reasonable. Ill be back

Attended Teo s for lunch on Father s Day, it was fantastic food! Highly recommend the pizza and salads! They were nice enough to put our large group of people in the back room which made for a great place to celebrate dad and keep the kids in check. Looking forward to returning and trying out the tiramisu when it hopefully goes onto the menu soon!

I have been visiting the original Matteos (Teos) in Highette for a few years very regularly and believe their pizza to be one of the best I have ever had, consistently every time. But for some reason this place is quite far from what I expected. The menu is completely different. The pizza wasnt as tasty. The base was not soft around the edges. And, Teos usually do every pizza for $17 on Tuesday, but this one is only for a select couple. The staff were friendly and the restaurant itself is spacious and nice.

Last night my partner and I got the pumpkin pizza, lasagne and garlic bread for takeaway. It cost around $60 and saw that the lasagne portion was a quarter size of any lasagne I have ever bought. we were so disappointed with the lack of flavour and zero love and care for the food that we werent able to make it one slice past the pizza or half way through the lasagne before we had to throw it out and get something else for dinner. The bread was also not enjoyable, burnt taste yet mushy at the same time. We live less than 5 minutes away so travel time home didnt play a part in the quality of this experience. The only reason we put One star is because the staff were incredibly friendly and polite.

It is such a pity that the beautiful food we enjoyed at Teos was overshadowed by the poor service. We initially afforded them a little slack as most restaurants are short staffed these days, but when we asked for cutlery after our meals had been sitting in front of us for 10 minutes and were met with a sarcastic response and no apology. Our sympathy for the staff then dried up. We also had to wait a considerable amount of time for our drink order to be taken.

Can these guys ever get a take away order right? When we arrived to pick up our4 pizzas, firstly they told us they were coming right up, then they told us no such order not placed, Then it had been placed but one of the pizzas burned so they had to remake them all...And all a lie as they ware all quite cold by the time we got them in the car. Disorganised and dishonest

Attended for a group dinner and had the $45 set menu. Was more than enough to have food left over, with a variety of choice. The service was fantastic, and all our questions and requests responded to immediately. The dessert pizza was nice, a bit of a novelty. Highly recommend giving this place a go.

The staff were good and the ambience pretty chill. The vegan supreme pizza was not what i was expecting though. Usually pizza places just have one or two vegetarian options and you dont expect them to go wrong with it but this was just something which could have been good as another dish but the toppings did not feel pizza friendly. Margharita pizza and other pastas were pretty good!

amazing authentic Italian food

this opened last week and we thought wed check it out - there are some decent pizza in the Malvern area so we werent holding our breath. Wow, flavoursome herbs. Mint that tastes like Mint. Fresh Ingredients. Real woodfired taste and that thin, light crust that reminds us all of Italy. Glad this has opened up just a few blocks from home, its our new fave pizza.

Had this Spaghetti with crab in squid sauce. Absolutely magnificent. Fresh, flavours well balanced and pasta al dente. Also we try the prosciutto Pizza with blue cheese and pear. One of the best pizzas in town. Specially the dough. Friendly staff, fast service and kids friendly environment. Well definitely come back again.

Great family spot with a nice Mediterranean vibe! We tried a variety of pizzas and pasta dishes. The food came out really fast, the desserts were to die for and it was overall, a really great experience.
