Ordered a Togo order while visiting the area. I love getting the workers' opinions on which rolls are the best or the favorite since I'm only visiting. Was not able to obtain a clear fan's favorite, but I ordered an amazing roll and a Vegas Roll. The Vegas roll was great, and the Amazing Roll was ok. Was definitely a busy location and would go here again if time allotted.
Google reviews aren't always what they seem... especially when most places are 4.2-4.7*. But for my experience Mino truly deserves a 5*. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly, upbeat waiter (Jay) who immediately had our drinks at our table - practically before sitting down. We ordered Edamame and Miso Soup as a starter and the edamame was hot, firm, and just the right amount of salty. An older gentleman (perhaps the owner?) took our order for mains and we were almost immediately met with our Sushi Rolls (Avocado & Cucumber, Spicy Salmon, and Phoenix Rolls). Our sushi was fresh and high quality and stayed together and not at all the type to fall apart when you pick it up! Overall, Mino is a great establishment for great service, great food, AND wasn't too expensive either!
I've been on a sushi kick and have tried several different places in the area and Mino has been the best by far. The sushi is flavorful and the prices + quantity of what you get is better. This will now be my go to lunch spot.
Decent spot especially for lunch specials, solid food and good service. Odd for lunch specials that they limit sushi for the boxes to 3 or 4 choices and won't allow substitution. Much prefer the hibachi lunches to the sushi anyways as the sushi was just alright to me. Have not tried the all you can eat but perhaps will give that a go in the future.
*Indoor dining review* After 1 takeout order we had to stop by and try dine-in experience. The restaurant is clean, their food is good, and price is very reasonable. Restaurant: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Parking: Free parking lot ~Restaurant~ Restaurant itself is nicely decorated, although where we sat felt a bit (not cramp) but close to other dining guests. The plus side is that everything is clean and maintained. ~Service~ Service is pretty good, we were provided with everything we needed for a good dining experience. ~Food~ All the food we ordered were very good for the price. What we ordered: -Clear soup w/ Mushrooms -Sashimi Appetizer -Black Dragon Roll -Spicy Tuna & Vegas Roll NOTE: They also have $40 (approximately per person) all you can eat sushi. It is definitely worth it if you are a sushi lover. We will definitely go with all you can eat next time we visit. In conclusion, very good sushi for a good price. Definitely one of our favorite Sushi spots next time we have cravings.
I had tried this place once a few years ago and remembering it being pretty good for the AYCE so I wanted to try it once again. I have a usual AYCE sushi spot but wanted to give something else a try this time. Food: I am more of a sashimi/nigiri eater so keep that in mind. I thought the quality of the fish was actually good. I did not eat a fish that was not enjoyable. The salmon, yellowtail, and white tuna were nice and "buttery". The snapper and tuna were delicate and mild and the mackerel had a nice vinegared bite to it. I will say that they do cut the pieces rather small, so I ended up eating 2-3 pieces in eat bite as I like a thicker piece. No big deal and to be honest this may be better for most people who may not be as comfortable eating raw fish. I just ended up adjusting my ordering to compensate, which makes the pictures look more impressive anyway :) LOL. I did give a few rolls a try as well. They, too, were very enjoyable. For me, the spicy rolls are too "heavy" as they contain tempura flakes, but I would think they are extremely enjoyable to the majority of customers, so I would definitely recommend. The rolls were filled very nicely as well and had good flavor. Service: I will say that the service is always something that discourages me from going to a new AYCE sushi place. I eat a lot of sashimi, so I never know how the experience will go (end up getting cut off). Most places say they are AYCE, but that is because they are accustomed to most people ordering a few rolls and leaving. I made sure to call ahead 2 times and make absolutely sure they were fine with someone ordering ALOT of sashimi. To which, both times, I was assured there would be no issue. And, to my delight, they gave me no trouble and the servers (who I suspect may also have been the owners) were very friendly and accommodating. Since I know there can sometimes be a language barrier, which can be difficult for both parties, I will say that the servers (owners in my mind) spoke English well, which is always a plus. They were very attentive and I had no issues with needing to "flag" anyone down. The time from placing order to receiving food was less than 20 minutes each time, which is great, but keep in mind it was also not too busy. Ambience: This is where I feel the establishment is lacking. First of all, they had the bar area closed, which I can't remember the reasoning, but I felt like it was COVID (come on). This is where I wanted to sit as I was solo and also like to watch the chefs in action. Anyway, the interior felt like it had potential, but it just wasn't quite there. It was next to a place that was busy, so when I walked in and it was completely empty I was shocked. Mind you this was a dinner service on a Wednesday (only have AYCE Tues - Thurs) so I was expecting it to be at least decently full, but I was very wrong. The whole time there was not more than 5 families in there at once. It may be kind of hard to put my finger on what it needed, but it had a "diner" layout/vibe to it that was off putting to me. If the owners were able to work on this, I feel it would draw in more people, at least in my opinion. Being in the "Philly" area I think it needed to be more modern. Overall: Overall, I would highly suggest checking this place out. Looking around the area there are not too many AYCE places and this one definitely has the quality to back it up. The menu is not too diverse, but has enough options to satisfy the majority of people. The couple next to me did not order AYCE (got 3 specialty rolls) and their rolls looked great too, incase your not in the mood for AYCE. Dinner was $40 (got an Ikura sushi - $2) which sounds fair for quality sushi.
Awesome experience! It's definitely worth it to come here if you live in great area. Their beef teriyaki is always cooked to a medium or medium rare, their chicken wings are incredible, and the gyoza (dumplings) are delicious. Oh, and their fried rice (veg, beef, and chicken) is great too! That's only mentioning their kitchen items. All their sushi/sashimi/making offerings are always fresh, and it's only made better by the amazing waitstaff.
My family usually comes here for their all-you-can-eat dinner. The fish usually tastes good, and their appetizers are fantastic too. The sushi rolls on their lunch menu are good too. It used to be small, but they have expanded! Their service is always fast, and the place is clean. I highly recommend you to give this place a try!

This place is okay they need to renewal there booth seat ..all torn . The food is decent but not crazy good as we have been to one in Glen Mill and Delaware. Price for All you can eat is expensive per person. Adult I dont mind but for a 5 year old and 3 year old is $20 ! How much can a 3 year old eat ! Seriously. So we didnt want to do the all you can eat for our kids . Just ordered them a meal. The server is very rude! She watched us. my little daughter just wanted to try one bite of the egg roll she had to watch us and say that we cant share! Okay , honestly not like I give her a whole plate of the sushi or all the appetizer from the all you can eat . Then I gather all the sushi in one small plate so that I can get rid of the bigger plate for more space. The server came to collect and didnt ask or anything she goes off tell us that we need to eat all the food on the small plate its their policy. She should not have said that. 1 very embarrassed for the customer 2. It is very uncomfortable . At that pointi, felt very uncomfortable being assuming that Im wasting foodl. Then I said can I get two chocolate ice cream she brought out 1 bowl with two scoops. I thought that was two orders. It has one spoon and I need another for my girl . I asked for another spoon . She said okay and still walking around and dont seem to care until I got up to look for a spoon. Then I asked her if this one order or two she said one . I said I asked for two. No wonder she was giving me a fit when I asked for a second spoon. She seen to judge us for sharing ! I may sound off cheap for $19 all you can eat for toddlers! But tonight , I feel we were being picky on with this server ! Tempura sweet potato seem uncooked. The temurpura shrimp the meat was mushy not crunchy . This is our first and will be our last !

ONE HOUR FOR FOOD!! Also messed up our order, sushi falling apart, and not to mention the crazy price of $39 pp for AYCE! Been to so many other places at peak rush, never had to wait one hour for terrible sushi and bad service. BEING BUSY IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR TERRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE! DO NOT COME HERE!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
All I can say is I have never had a more enjoyable and consistently amazing time at a restaurant! From food to service, they are unmatched. Ive been coming here once a month with a group for over 12 years now! We absolutely love it here and hope you have the chance to enjoy it as well!
A great choice for anyone looking for a business meeting or family gathering theyll talk about constantly! They always keep the gluten free soy sauce around for those we know who have the allergy and are very good about pointing out which rolls/foods are fair game! Easily a bi-monthly trip for us. Dietary restrictions: Ask for the gluten free soy sauce they always keep stocked and their GF menu options!

Mino is definitely one of my favorite restaurants and the place is very clean and maintained. I come here very often and met with kind and friendly staff. The service is pretty fast and the food is absolute delicious. I would highly recommend!

Got takeout. Place was packed inside so apparently its popular but I did not enjoy the sushi. Got a yellowtail jalapeno roll, salmon avocado roll, and sweet potato roll. Requested lite rice and it was thick. Fish tasted a little off and left a strange metallic after taste. May give it a 2nd try but...

We like to order party trays for dinner, sometimes, when were in town. Sushi is good, delivery could be better (they should have their own delivery). Delivery usually ends up kind of warm and squished...

Ive been here so many times and I can safely say its one of the best restaurants Ive ever been to. Patrick especially is such a sweet and friendly person, he always makes my day whenever I eat here. The all you can eat is one to behold. The spicy tuna roll in particular is such a savory and delicious option! I wish I could give this place 20 stars

I loved that they had a cooked sushi menu to eat when Im pregnant. Also love the brown rice additions. Salmon and salad were delicious, too, with the homemade sauces. A delight! Well be back soon.
This is one of the greatest sushi places around! The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The food is just too good! You can taste not only the great quality of the food, but the love that goes into it too. Always one of our favorite date night spots!

Best sushi near me. I love Mino and coming back to the area after 10 years in Hawaii ...yea the sushi at Mino is better. Nothing locally comes close. Love early dinners with the kids and no crowds. Love late evening delivery (TIP: book it via their site and not a delivery app to save about 30%) specialty rolls and delicious baked specials.

The best sushi on the Main Line! The friendly service and fresh food is unmatched! Patrick and Kevin are always so welcoming and willing to accommodate any request. The Lava Roll & Rainbow Roll are two of our favorites but honestly everything is delicious. 10/10 recommend! Dietary restrictions: We ve brought friends with a gluten allergy and a shellfish allergy. They are always very accommodating and can cater to any dietary restriction/need.
The best sushi. Our search is over. Beautiful presentation, perfectly fresh, generous portions. A++. The salmon sashimi is always perfect. So far weve only ordered for takeout, but plan to dine in soon.

DONT FALL FOR THE ALL YOU CAN EAT. The gentleman told me it would be 40 for the whole table when the question was presented to him. However, when the bill came, it was 40 per person, and there was no indication on their menu.

Very good sushi, the sashimi was easily the best and most fresh sashimi I ve had in Pennsylvania. But the best part was the attentive and friendly staff. Will be back!

This place has really come a long way in the last decade! The food is excellent, great service, although it is a shame that the all you can eat price has gotten so high. $38 is the most expensive Ive paid for all you can eat sushi dinner. Awesome place. Tucked away in a shopping center in malvern, but dont let that fool you. We went for the all you can eat menu in the afternoon and everything was great. Service is excellent, atmosphere inviting, and the sushi was perfect. The beef teriyaki was a highlight for me.

In addition to a regular a la carte menu, there is a great all-you-can-eat sushi deal for $28 during lunch Tue to Fri. (Same option available at dinner 7 days/week for $39.) High quality rolls and plenty of variety on the menu. Staff and atmosphere were good. Id come back.

got the all you can eat sushi deal for lunch on a friday for $28 each. we ordered the salmon avocado roll, spicy salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll, sunset roll, tempura zucchini and sweet potato, and cheese wontons. everything was good but the sunset roll and and sweet potato were amazing. the staff were also polite and personable! i was a little disappointed that i didnt see any nigiri or sashimi on the ayce menu, but maybe the higher value items are exclusive to the expensive dinner menu. regardless we really enjoyed the meal and are excited to have an all you can eat sushi option in the area!
Best Sushi in the area. Has been here for 20+ years. Cant miss. Katsu dishes are a sleeper hit. Vegetarian options: Tempura sweet potato roll is to die for.

I have eaten there numerous times over the years. It is consistently excellent.
My partner and I have been coming here for 5 years, every single time they knock it out of the park!! The fish is always super fresh, cut and arranged beautifully. Server always have a smile on their face, very timely with the order and just overall wonderful people. Almost all of their speciality rolls are delicious, dragon roll is our favorite, avocado is super creamy and their eel is high quality, super fatty and chewy every time, delicious! Interestingly their chicken wing is the best I ve taste in this area. I d never imagine to find that at a sushi place haha. Kani and sweet egg sashimi is also the best I ve had in this area. If you are a sushi and/or sashimi lover, I highly recommend their dinner all you can eat menu, it s on the pricier side, but lots of other places would serve bad cuts and/or lots of rice if you do all you can eat. Not this place, their all you can eat quality matches exactly like normal ordering. We also really like the fact their sushi rice are on the smaller side, we get much more fish and able to try lot of varieties. Definitely a gem in Malvern area!!
Service was pretty inattentive, but the food was mostly superb, (all you can eat sushi s second round came apart too readily, otherwise was soooo good), and price was ok. Don t get me wrong: this was a good experience.

Everything was great and tasted really fresh. Service was quick and the sushi roll doesnt feel like theres too much filler but well balance. Pork Gyoza was good, and the specialty rolls. The avocado salad is one of my favorite.

The food here was very good. We made a reservation for a large party. It seems they can not handle that. We made sure to optimize our ordering and sheet fill out. Upon waiting for like 30min or more for them to bring out our food, Im pretty sure they either forgot items or just decided not to make them. So we had to make a second order and wait just as long to be just as disappointed. But the food is definitely worth it.
Unfortunately I didn t take pictures. It was okay. We didn t do sushi bar. It was expensive 39 dollars each hmm no thank you!

Cute inexpensive and delicious!
Me and my younger sister walk in to get dinner, we stand for maybe 2 minutes while the hostess found us a table not really saying much. When we get seated we wait for 45 minutes. No exaggeration, 45 minutes with no service, no drinks, nothing. Mind you we had decided on our whole order in less than 10 minutes. We were not acknowledged in that 45 minutes. There were still seats left as well and regardless if you are that busy that should be communicated which the hostess did not do. She walked around aimlessly barely helping. My first time going here and my sister has been there multiple times. We got up and left after waiting for so long. It s sad we will not be going here anymore ridiculous. Akio and their boba with reusable cups saved the night.

Mino has been my Go-to sushi restaurant in the Chester county area for several years now. They seem to be doing more business for take out right now but dine in service is quick and reasonably priced. Their lunch specials are well-priced are HUGE especially their roll specials.
My boyfriend and I have been coming here for almost 4 years, the food is of incredible quality, the service is amazing too. My boyfriend has been coming here for longer than I have, and he has always loved it. I always order fantasy rolle, the chicken wings and hibachi steak. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever!
we loved coming here for the AYCE option, but ever since the pandemic, the place remove that option. the sushi is still good, but easily 5 star they bring AYCE back.

For the guy who answered the phone I placed a DoorDash order and the restaurant forgot one roll. The man on the phone tried to argue with me that it was in the bag and after telling him 5 times that it was not in the bag, he tried blaming the DoorDash driver and said they stole it. This was very unprofessional in my opinion. He said he s the one who packed my order so instead of admitting his error, he blamed someone else. Why would they steal one roll and leave 4 others?

Quick lunch service. Extensive lunch menu plus various specials. Sashimi was fresh and flavorful. Teriyaki was slightly undercooked. They addressed the issue promptly when informed. Friendly staff.

Mino is great! A nice little BYOB spot with a great variety of Japanese food. We had edamame and the tempura sampler, as well as a bunch of sushi. It was all great! I recommend the Spider hand roll, the crab tempura was fantastic. Will definitely be back, maybe for takeout next time! Vegetarian options: Many veggie only sushi rolls as well as hibachi

Did a togo order for the sashimi dinner, 2 special rolls and a hibachi After tip/tax it was $85 Hm... Food quality was good The rolls were a little disappointing but maybe I just chose the wrong ones. But I do recommend trying it.

I come here frequently because my co-worker enjoys it but the sushi is gross. The miso soup is lukewarm. Eat at your own risk!

Went there before the pandemic after a friend recommended the place. Excellent food and the all you can eat Sushi is the main reason I went and I was not disappointed. Unfortunately, they do not have that option any more. I hope they bring it back. 5 stars for the food and atmosphere.

Ive been going to Mino since I was 16 years old and have NEVER had bad food. best sushi Ive ever had. disappointed that they dont have the all you can eat anymore, but understand why.

Tied for the BEST sushi, rolls, hibachi rice, gyoza, and edamame I ve had anywhere in the world! It arrived with the same presentation and same temperature as I would expect when dining-in which I found amazing. Incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned.

Food was absolutely amazing and the prices are reasonable. We enjoyed the Crystal Shrimp Dumpling and Gyoza appetizers and then I had the Malvern roll, tuna sashimi and crabstick sushi. Would definitely go again.

Ive dined in and order to go here. Love the sushi fish options. Beautiful presentation, you even get fresh flowers garnish sushi lunch takeout. Lunch specials are awesome. I do have to say I havent dined here since before covid, so they are not at fully opened. My go to at least once a month.
Love it here since 2013. Quality is always good, prices are reasonable and the staff remembers us and make us feel welcome every time. And BYO. They even heat your sake for you.

Fantastic value and delicious, fresh sushi. Very safe covid-19 procedures in place including taking your temperature as you enter. All staff wearing masks. Treat yourself and go here!
