We initially dined in the restaurant last year and were so impressed by the quality and beautiful flavours of the food, it tastes as if it's made with love and care. Now despite living in Wales, we collect food to take home every time we visit family in the area, we even get extra Momo's to save for the freezer. The staff are so helpful and sweet, even giving us extra red sauce (and an amazing chili pickle) when we ask. Highly recommend.
I recently dined at Yak n yeti and had a fantastic experience, largely thanks to Arbina, the front of the house staff. She was amazing! As someone who had never tried Nepali food before, I relied on her recommendations, and they did not disappoint. The momo was delicious, and the tawa was a standout dish. Although I'm not usually a fan of sweet things, I found the mango lassi delightful—it struck the perfect balance! Exceptional service. Arbina made the visit even more enjoyable. I felt like I was in good hands throughout my meal. I will definitely be returning—100%!
A perfect little slice of Nepal, nestled at the foot of Malvern’s misty mountains. Divine food and flavours that dance on your tongue. Impeccable service from lovely staff. We were absolutely blown away! Thank you so much.
Very friendly staff, i was welcomed. staff and i had a little chat and that was lovely because i was eating alone so i didnt feel alone. Very pleased with the service, food was delicious, hot and tasty, i love it. Thank you to all the team for your hardwork. I hope to see you soon. From Michelle 💖
Had a lovely authentic meal here , very tasty and at a good price. Definitely recommend
Popped in with Dad and my dog Ziggy. As an Asian food enthusiast with a soft spot for Nepalese culture, I was happy to try this gem. The staff were lovely and allowed Ziggy in as long as he behaved. The food was tasty with authentic flavours, and the traditional music had Ziggy wagging his tail. The staff's friendliness were top-notch, and they adjusted the spice levels perfectly to our taste. If you're into Indian cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Good service, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Absolutely beautiful food and if in doubt you should go. We love Nepalese food at home and have a good Nepalese community where we are. This was 100 times even better. Gorgeous spicing using ginger, garlic and chilli harmoniously on their momo, sauces and curries. We had their specials and they were great. The magic chicken starter was actual herbal and aromatic magic! And then... the byriani!
We came across this place because of its great reviews. The food was delicious. The service was super friendly. We went there on Sunday afternoon during the quieter period. We ordered 1 starter and 2 mains, and it was more than enough. Great portions, too, and we had the Nepalese beer. Highly recommend it.
Great food and lovely atmosphere, would recommend if you re looking for something special
Our first time in Malvern and discovered this restaurant. Served by knowledgeable and interested staff. Delicious food with excellent spicing!
Several visits now and we ll be back. Superb flavours, well presented food. Friendly, attentive staff. Well worth a visit.
Delicious food and lovely service!
I have just met two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, the brother and sister team front of house are delightful and a credit to their country!! The food is also excellent, give this place a try you wont be disappointed Wheelchair accessibility: No steps and on one level.
A nugget!! Just delicious and impeccable service and the staff are just adorable and caring! A real pleasure. I recommend you to
Amazing place. Fabulous food and great service. Highly recommend!
Very helpful staff and friendly
Tip top delicious food and service!
Visited with family and had a wonderful experience of having Nepali food. Chicken momos with the sauce was the highlight. Rest of the food was quite authentic to Nepali taste as well. Highly recommended.
Delicious food, great service from Shriyanka. Will be coming back.
Wonderful Service by Shriyanka!!! From the moment I met Shriyanka, I knew I was in good hands. Her service was delightful, and her recommendations were spot-on, perfectly suited to my needs. Shriyankas warm and friendly attitude made the experience truly enjoyable. Her genuine enthusiasm and commitment to my satisfaction were heartwarming and greatly appreciated!
Working in Malvern and thought I would try Nepalese food for a change and have to say the food was amazing. Staff were lovely and great service. Atmosphere was nice, it was warm and nice to hear the traditional music.
Spent a lovely evening here, and the food was top-notch! Quick and efficient service and nothing not to like except their telephone is very loud and made me jump every time it rang!
Everything is 5 star worthy!!! We recently found this place and have been back 3 times since and absolutely love it, the brother and sister team on front of house are so brilliant and make it a very comfortable experience! Food is amazing and very reasonably priced.
Outstanding! Freshly cooked to order. Never disappointed. Welcoming, friendly service and very good value
Dinned here with my Partner last firday. Couldnt have asked for a better experience, very warm inviting and relaxed atmosphere with incredible food. 10/10 would reccomend!
They drew a little picture and hid it in the napkin. Everything I wanted from a restaurant. Food was good too!
This is a really great place to eat. We tried variety of Nepali and Indian vegetarian dishes and they were really really good, the lassi was amazing too. Deserts were okay, they need to be improved. But overall our meal was amazing, great tasting food and unique taste, pleasant change from Indian food.
Probably the best meal I have ever enjoyed. 5 stars all the way.
Starters were fantastic. Food was very tasty however we had 3 different dishes - 2 Nepalese and 1 Indian. The meats were different but the sauce tasted exactly the same (very nice but disappointing)
It s beautiful and very clean. Best place to have food
A great evening of food during visit to Mavern. Friendly staff and so much great food. Highest recommendations...
A great place to try the Nepalese food along with Indian continentals. Loved the atmosphere and the services by the staff. Don t forgot to try the Momo.
Traditional decor. Tasty food, good value and pleasant service. We had Lamb Biryani and Tawa (lamb) which were very tasty. Glad we chose this restaurant.
Went there on Saturday night the service was excellent and the food was amazing Will definitely return Food
I had authentic Nepalese food after long time which remind of my home country Nepal. I definitely recommend to visit and try different dishes with affordable prices and good service.
Lovely staff, great food, in fact one of the best curries Ive ever had. So good I ordered a 2nd as a take away. Shame I dont live locally.
Great food, excellent service, friendly staff and very clean.Well worth a visit Kid-friendliness: Lovely family restaurant
The Lamb Tawa was delicious! The staff were easily able to adjust the spice level to my preference. There was some of the best mango chutney Ive ever had! The Manchurian pakora are a must have. 10/10 would recommend coming back!
Absolutely fab food and the tamarind chutney was a new one for me. Thoroughly recommend
Nice, traditional Curry. Nothing exceptional.
You must visit the iconic, Victorian Spa town of Great Malvern , nestling in the Malvern hills. While youre there treat yourself to a meal at the Nepalese Indian restaurant, the Yak N Yeti. The food is excellent. The staff are polite, friendly and discreet. The ambiance is calm and relaxing. We have eaten at many Indian restaurants but the Yak N Yeti is definitely one of the best. We thoroughly recommend it. You wont be disappointed.
Undoubtedly the worst sushi I have ever had. I never leave a bad review but the yak and yeti should not be making or serving sushi and have made a mockery of this skilled art. If you are going to market sushi, your current chef needs to be sent on a course or fired. Your quality, and chilled temp control is way off. Using sub standard and incorrect ingredients could seriously harm customers. Take this feedback and get much better very quickly or risk a hefty complaint. The gurkha beer was good , but the sushi has left me feeling sick
Very nice
A really fabulous meal, great service, delicious dishes. Highly recommended. Kid-friendliness: Made 10YO very welcome
I had the vegetable pakora and half were soft and half very hard. Wasnt impressed with the rest of the food either. Best thing was poppadoms and chutney tray, which says it all really.
Having dined here on several occaisions l can thoroughly recommend a visit. Tasty food, generous portions, staff are attentive and discreet. The curries are delicious. Less oil than others you will not be disappointed.
We have dined here on a few occasions since moving to Malvern and would absolutely recommend it. The food is delicious and the service excellent; the waitress is friendly and yet professional. This is definitely our go-to restaurant!!
Enjoyed a fantastic, early, pre-theatre meal this evening. Popadoms and chutneys, starters, mains and a Cobra beer each. All beautiful, fresh, tasty food and excellent, attentive service. We will definitely be making this a regular pre-theatre stop!!
Very nice experience overall!
Amazing family run restaurant. Such friendly staff, amazing food, generous portions and immaculately clean. Our new favourite; will be returning.
Absolutely superb food! We love a Nepalese curry and Yak N Yeti did themselves proud! Great service, we never felt crowded or missed out. The pickles that came with the popadoms were a little different to the usual and nicely tasty, we shared a Vegetable Manchurian starter which was amazing, we had a Gurkha curry and a Lamb Tawa as mains with saag aloo, and loved every mouthful, plus probably the best peshwari naan I ve ever tasted. Good beer too. Can t fault this pace at all and would gladly return if in the area again. We thought good value too, especially these days! Totally recommend! Vegetarian options: Plenty for vegetarians.
Ate there with my husband last weekend. Lovely team, attentive and friendly food was fantastic, tasted fresh and was very flavourful. Will be going again soon!!!!
Fantasitic meal, great location for after a long trek! Thank you!
Delicious Tawa sauce and friendly service
Lovely people and great food reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you
Excellent food and friendly service
Ordered a takeaway which was delicious. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend. Cant really comment on atmosphere as didnt sit in but think it would be a very friendly helpful atmosphere
What a lovely place to eat . Wheelchair accessibility: Down by the bar area. Food : 5/5 |
Had a lovely tasty dish here, Nepalese and Asian mix of food really great flavours and presentation was fantastic , service warm welcoming and authentic thank you SO much
We had a wonderful dinner at Yak N Yeti. The food was delicious and the service friendly and professional. Without question, we will be back.
Me and my girlfriend went here when we stayed in Great Malvern. We decided to go here as we had never had nepalese before, the momo starter was delicious. As was the mains we had a lamb curry and a fish curry, both of which were cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, I would highly recommend and if I am ever back in the area I will be returning.
Although the restaurant was very quiet as it was not long after New Year my partner and I had an brilliant meal here. The staff are so lovely and friendly and the food was delicious. We hadnt tried Nepalese before so it was a nice change from the usual Indian food. My only criticism is the room was a bit cold but despite that I would come again if in the area :)
This is the sizzling meat & king prawn tawa! Epic!
Friendly staff and great food 6 of us ate here January 22 Well worth a visit
I Have been waiting too long for this place to open and finally got my chance to dine here. Garlic tikka chicken to start and the yak n yeti tawa for my main both dishes were really well presented and absolutely delicious! Decent sized portions and very pleasant service will definitely be back again to try more of the menu.
Great meal and service
Never had Nepalese food before so me and my girlfriend went down to try. Food was absolutely amazing, cobra on tap and the staff were friendly and attentive all night. Will be going back 100%
Excellent food and lovely service! Momo dumplings were amazing and Macha (salmon) curry was fantastic - definitely recommend it!
Best service friendly environment. very delicious food.
Friendly, good service and great food at a decent price
First time at this restaurant, we enjoyed the food very much. Good sized portions, food served hot and attractively. Attentive staff.
I haven t had Nepalese for a long time now. Coming from India I didn t want food that smelt, looked and tasted like Indian food today. I was pleasantly surprised to find the dishes I chose were delicious and diff from normal Indian restaurants. The portions were just enough and the meat Tawa had generous portion of meat. The Naan was fresh and had good texture plus thickness. Overall a great experience. The staff were very friendly.
Just received a delivery order. Food was piping hot and the salad was lovely and cold. Speedy delivery too. The food was lovely and I look forward to ordering again. Very flavorful
What a wonderful place to enjoy a meal! Thank you Shriyanka Oli for your service, chat, friendliness and great smile ! It was a pleasure and superb meals. Quiet inside and quick service from entering, ordering and leaving. Neat, clean and fresh utilities. When we left people started to come in. It may become the top eating place in the future. We will absolutely go there again and recommend this Yak n Yeti
Always love coming here. Best meal is the tandoori chicken with some mango lassi! We had beef samosas as well which were great. Love the food here 10/ 10 always. Great and attentive service and always a pleasure to go back!
Highly recommended. Visited a couple of nights ago on first night in Malvern - completely random choice of restaurant. Friendly welcoming staff, superb food, nice decor (looks less chic on outside compared to some places in the town, but very nice inside).
Very friendly service. Great tasting food that was well presented.
Very nice food with decent portion. Recommend the starter platter and also the peshwari nan (sweet with coconut and almond) , the rest are also tasty. The service and hospitality is really good.
Food is very delicious and spicy.
I gave my birthday party here And all the guests are very pleased with the food. Food we Ordered were very teasty and delicious. Enjoy my day Here. THANK YOU Yak N Yeti all staff and The Owner
Food was delicious and staff very polite 10/10
I had to look up awesome in the OED just in case it had been redefined as the Yak n Yeti. The authentic exterior looks incongruous to the untrained Western eye, but it conceals the best Nepalese food Ive tasted outside Nepal. I had the Pokhara dish just because the city contains fond memories for me from trekking the Annapurna Circuit, but I struck lucky as this hot offering was utterly superb. If youre not used to spicy food either take a Class AB fire extinguisher for your tongue or pick one of the zero-chilli rated curries I am reliable informed the non-spicey dishes are equally as delicious. With very reasonable prices, a wide menu, generous portions, and a warm and friendly service, this establishment cannot be beaten. Ive consumed a fair amount of Asian cuisine in my time, and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in its class - you wont be disappointed. 5 stars on all counts.
Surprisingly good food, the garlic naan bread was great and also the tender lamb , good place after hiking.
We ordered 2 Currys and some Momo, the food was delivered promptly and was delicious! Will definitely be ordering from you again, thank you for the wondeful food!
Very lovely restaurant! The staff are super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food was delicious!
My mouth just exploded with taste! Perfectly prepared, presented...just beautiful.
Great food and service! Loved the Himalaya curry, sizzling tawa and the momos were gorgeous. Good sized portions and friendly and helpful staff.
Very tasty food, reasonably priced, large portions (especially biryani), polite and attentive waiters.
Aww this place is lovely, staff so friendly and helpful...food is out quick! Have to be honest, one of the nicest curries iv ever had! Highly reccomend for families or couples.
Lamb Sekuwa was lovely.. very tender and wonderful taste.. Pokhara main also great.. The look from outside does not do it justice. Lovely food..
Excellent food, staff and very reasonable cost
I had a supremely delicious meal of chicken Pokhara and the Aloo baingan. The Pokhara was the star of the show, spicy and super tasty! What a treat! The only bad thing I have to say is that I dont live in the area so wont be able to have it again!
Have been here twice, and ordered different curries both times and found them both too sweet. I only can assume they add sugar to them. Also, first time were given poppadoms and pickle tray free of charge, now they seem to be charging for them!
First visit last night. Lovely tasty food great attentive service. Will definitely return
Good service, excellent food all at a very acceptable price. The tawa was amazing. Highly recommended.
Lovely food and great service really enjoyed our meal here, certainly one to remember for future meals
This was our first experience of Nepalese food and it was delicious. We would highly recommend the Yak n Yeti Tawa - great flavours and nicely spiced. The restaurant is very clean and cared for and the staff were warm, welcoming, attentive and professional. The food is great value for money - not to be missed if you are visiting Great Malvern!
Our food was served after that of several other tables that arrived after we had ordered, and a few dishes were missing. We informed the waiter and the missing dishes were still not delivered before we finished the rest of the meal and requested the bill. Its a little trivial but the waiter handing plates and cutlery to one end of the table to be passed down to the other isnt the service you expect at a restaurant, given that every other Indian restaurant in Malvern has such a high standard. The plates were cold and the food was warm at best. Another trivial complaint but the lights in the toilets are so dim I thought the emergency lights were on and flicked the switch, only to find myself in total darkness. Would not recommend, especially given the proximity to the Anupam.
The waitress was lovely, and the food was excellent. Both myself and my wife loved it. Great food, highly recommended.
I dont eat-out often so when I do, it needs to be special. My wife has spent time in N. India and tasted Nepalese cooking as a vegetarian, so suggested we try the Yak & Yeti as a treat. Well, as a committed omnivore I am now delighted with Nepalese cooking and can recommend both their tender lamb Kathmandu dishes and garlic chicken tikka which was real chicken breast and not that horrible rubbery stuff that some restaurants serve-up. The staff were lovely and could not do enough for us. Altogether, a special evening and VERY reasonably priced. I recommend this restaurant for a wide range of Nepalese and Indian food, from mild to hot. Its there for us here in lovely Malvern and we should support them if we can, as the restaurant trade is entering tough times...
What a little gem..... Had a takeaway from here last night and wasnt expecting too much but was so surprised at the result. The speed of the order being prepared was so quick, the service was great and was so friendly. But the food was lovely on top of that, cooked to perfection, one of the best madras lamb Currys Ive ever had. The spices were just right, the lamb was so soft it just melted in your mouth. So if you want to find your new favourite curry, then give this a go and you wont be disappointed.
