We stayed overnight in our motor home on our first trip away. Extremely welcoming friendly pub with good beer and fantastic food! The chicken shawarma looked good and tasted amazing! Definitely worth a visit
Driving back from Herefordshire to Worcester on a Sunday evening, we were hard pressed to find many places open for food. We popped in to try our chances and although they'd stopped serving their own food, they did have a street food vendor outside (I think it was called Carribbean to the Max?) who was phenomenal! We had a drink and there was also a cheeky little Fleetwood Mac tribute band live outside while we waited for the street food to set up. I can't comment on the pubs own food but the street food vendor was 10/10!
Lovely English pub. Just how they should be. Good selection of beverages and fantastic food. Best pub music I have heard in years. Staff, Landlord and Landlady are great. Overnight space for camper at no extra charge. Dogs welcome with river walks close by. Thank you guys for a fantastic evening.
What a great pub stop-over Red Lion Inn Stiffords Bridge from a lovely warm welcome, great local beers and absolutely stunning home cooked food, we had a real problem choosing from the Greek Mediterranean inspired menu there was such a choice. Thanks again your hospitality was first class. benivanadventures
Great old pub with a cosy fireplace. Great Wyre Valley Beers. The staff and owner are really friendly and helpful. We had the beef and lamb Sunday roast which was plentiful and extremely tasty. It's definitely worth a visit if you are looking for the old country charm style pub.
Cosy pub with friendly dogs. The dogs love to come and say hello. The barman was friendly. There is also a carpark outside and there is a beer garden. There is a food can outside that you can buy food from when the pub has finished serving, you can eat your food in the pub as well. They had live music in the Sunday that I visited. Very clean and welcoming.
We stopped over here in our van after a gig in Bromyard. Wonderful pub. Great local ales. Friendly staff and locals. Very dog friendly. The landlord had a story or three to tell. Finally, best roast ever! We’ll definitely be returning.
Location was perfect with plenty of parking, we stayed overnight with permission from owner in our motorhome. The food was absolutely scrumptious! Best sirloin steak I've ever had! The pub is cosy and full of character inside- with Flo the dog snoozing by the log fire, the atmosphere was just lovely. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.
Lovely food and music
Good food, very nice atmosphere friendly and helpful staff Vegetarian options: Good choice Parking: Large open car park, plenty of spaces
We have just arrived home after two weeks holiday staying near Bosbury. We went in numerous pubs in the area and this was the best by far. Very welcoming landlord and the ladies behind the bar also made you feel really welcome asking about your day and remembered your drink order everytime we went back. We did not eat here but we noticed that the tables were all reserved. We are travelling back down to Bosbury again next year and we will definitely be paying this pub a visit or two!
We just happened to pass this Jewell on our way home today. We had wonderful food, great wine, I hasten to add and the service was excellent. To make our visit all the more memorable, I noticed they had damson trees, full of fruit, I was told to pick as I saw fit. I ve just make 5 jars of jam, happy days. Food
Great family meal at this dog-friendly (and people-friendly) pub! We had some starters, a few of the specials and some delicious desserts which were all excellent. Highly recommended. Parking: Plenty of space to park outside the pub. Kid-friendliness: Our kids were made to feel very welcome - but there was a sign about kids misbehaving and thus not being allowed in certain areas of the pub. A shame but understandable if theyve had bad experiences.
The food was amazing! I had the Lebanese chicken shawarma and it was absolutely fantastic. Portion size was perfect, very generous and well proportioned. My son had the chicken souvlaki and he gobbled the whole lot! The service was excellent as well, Luke and Eve treated us extremely well and we werent left waiting, or wanting, for anything! When Im next in the Malvern hills area I will definitely be paying this charming pub another visit
Avoid. Was rejected to have a table on Saturday 4pm. The pub was empty thought.
Delicious meal and fabulous atmosphere.
What a lovely place we travelled from Wales for the afternoon to watch live music Stevie Mac Tribute band, we also booked in for Sunday lunch which was superb, owner/staff were amazing nothing was to much trouble made us feel Very welcome atmosphere was fabulous
Stopped for a drink and watched some Morris dancing
Fantastic venue and highly recommended
What a find ! This place is a gem! Stumbled across this pub , searching for a nice lunch and it didn t disappoint. Wonderful ambiance, tasty food! We will return very soon!
Stayed 1night in camper van at back of pub, didn t get chance to eat there but menu looks great Steve the Landlord has a sense of humour, but he would do as he supports WBA Hope you enjoyed your gig, ours was great! Plan to go back to see Fleetwood Mac tribute
Absolutely fantastic!!! Really friendly greeting, amazing food, great atmosphere talking to the landlord and bar staff who were all really friendly. Lovely little dog loved a fuss! Absolutely fantastic a proper pub!! We will definitely be back to this little gem! Thank you all x

Cracking country pub with really good quality creative menu. Loves it here and will be back. Also the local doggies were lovely!
Lovely place for a stop off after a long walk in the hills. Had a few drinks and some lovely chips and the owners were kind enough to let us park our camper van up for the evening. Definitely coming back next time were in town.
Lovely pub, very friendly and the food was amazing. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps at entrance Food : 5/5 |
Spent a lovely evening here and the owners Steve and Vicky are super friendly and hospitable. there was some great live music on and I had a lovely few pints. I could spend night in the carpark in my camper... next time I am back around the area I shall pop in. Food is also supposed to be great but I arrived too late for that ... but next time
This place is amazing! A beautiful traditional looking pub, huge hearth, log fire and VERY dog friendly. Motor homes welcome to park overnight for free if you use the pub. Music is best Ive heard in a pub for many years , 70s. Food menu is different, some Greek dishes and some burgers. My meal was stunning! Live music and mic nights and all the staff are incredibly friendly. So wished this was my local, I would live here. Parking: Really big hard standing car park, plus overflow available. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to entrance, toilets near door, nice big doors.
A charming pub with good food, nice beers and a good atmosphere; ideal for an overnight stay with the camper van.
A lovely country Tavern. Friendly and attentive staff. We had a couple of pints of Nightjar, fried haloumy and a lovely Sunday Roast of topside of beef with all the trimming including the most delicious gravy. Vicki and Steve took time to greet us and make sure we were happy. Parking: Ample free parking Kid-friendliness: Plenty of garden space. Dog friendly too with free dog treats available. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps are provided level covered patio
Great food and interesting menu. The Jamaican Beef stew was absolutely delicious.
Beautiful food and beers
Never called in here before stopped after a day out in the Malvern area and it was great great food most of it done with a Greek style flavour and was wonderful lovely staff and especially a young lady called Ella who helped us choose meals and service was excellent will definitely be calling again soon
Wow! Just wow! This was such a little gem of a find. The food was to die for. All freshly, home cooked and piping hot. The portions are humongous! Had we known we probably wouldnt have had starters. The home made chips, Greek salad and moussaka were amazing. The ginger pudding was to die for but definitely a sharer. The portion could have fed 3 people! The service was brilliant. Ella, our waitress, was fabulous. Such a friendly and happy pub and would 100% recommend. Dog friendly and lots of outside seating. Will be coming back!
Fantastic place, very dog friendly, food to die for, great service... literally cannot find a thing to say against it. The owners are wonderful and welcoming. Vegetarian options: Plenty of choice Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp access, all on the level inside.
Lovely pub, welcoming staff and very tasty food ! Dog friendly with dog menu which went down a treat. Two friendly dogs also at the pub. Highly recommend
Food was lovely with good sized portions. Would happily eat here again. Friendly and helpful staff and a nice venue.
Our new local! Great setting with a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Have eaten there a few times now and its been amazing on every occasion. We will definitely be returning! Food : 5/5
Excellent English pub! there were 10 of us. Staff looked after us well. Delicious roasts and starters and puds!! Will go again when in the area again next year. Very welcoming and cosy too. Went in February. Vegetarian options: I had the delicious nut roast, plus all the usual roast potatoes, yorkshire puds, veggies. Very good!
Fabulous Sunday evening with live music abd food by the Beefy Boys.
Absolutely brilliant place fantastic food great atmosphere they certainly keep a good pint we stayed over in our campervan and we were made to feel more than welcome friendly locals if you are passing this place I would certainly recommend popping in five stars from us
Stayed over 7/3/24. Called and spoke to Steve. He booked me a table and we ate Spanish chicken chorizo with bread and potatoes. I had aubergines covered in cheese and mince, moussaka. Beer and a cider. £45 all in. Big car park but muddy with big puddles. Big field at the back as an overflow car park. Parking: On search for sites as a pubstop for motorhomes as long as you eat or drink in the pub.
Lovely places and staff and good food to boot. Will definitely come back if and when back in the area.
Great place for a bite to eat and drink had Sunday lunch even late in the day was great still
Fantastic! Such lovely people and delicious food. The chicken shawarma is amazing. Great pub, warm and welcoming, even has a low % beer on tap. Handy for a campervan stop too. Make sure you go, its an absolute gem.
Very welcoming landlady and landlord, were genuinely interested in their customers had a great chat. Staff team were lovely, great vibes, food looked amazing sadly didnt eat as we already had food prepared. We parked overnight in our camper at no cost other than having a few drinks, will definitely come back and eat there next time. My fussy partner was very pleased with the beer. Our dog was made to feel very welcome, not only by the staff but the resident dogs too.
I love this place, always worth the trip out. Food is consistently amazing and fresh. Menu updated frequently, specials updated regularly too. Something for everyone, vegan, gluten free. They now even have a menu for your four legged friends! This place is super dog friendly, and the owners two dogs love to say hello, before returning to their cozy spot infront of the log burner. Id give it more than 5 stars if I could
Blooming lovely pub. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Very accommodating regarding my coeliac disease. Also stayed overnight in our camper in the car park Food
Great village pub . Cheers
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly Food
Lovely pub. Only stopped for a drink but it has good beer and friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly
Staff excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Good local pub with a great selection of drinks. Food is great. Highly recommend this place. Everyone is so friendly. Although about 6 miles from our house we now class it as our local. Also very dog friendly.
Amazing food, super warm welcome for us and pooch!
Amazing meal so tasty and a lovely warm welcome!
Warm welcome with a good selection of local ales. Food was good value nicely cooked and presented. My wife said it was the best steak she had fir a long time. Will come back.
We absolutely recommend that pub! We had a wonderful meal, a Greek specialty and the red Lion cheeseburger with homemade chunky chips and we ate it all! On top of the nice and very affordable food, the ambiance was nice, the owner and a young fella played guitar and the pubs doggies comes to greet you! A well deserved 5 stars review!
Very nice bar lady, bit expensive for a pint but a nice place
Excellent lunchtime visit. Loved the company of the dogs. The cheese and onion baguette with chips and salad was huge - but gorgeous. Highly recommend this place.
Amazing food! Family of 3 we had a lovely evening. We had 2 chicken souvlaki with chips and Greek salad and the chicken shawarma wrap. Flavoursome, fresh and delicious. Managed to make room for banoffee sundae and Stem ginger cake and custard for pudding - Yum! Would recommend - great service, fantastic food and lovely atmosphere.
Very friendly staff and an amazing burger, the tapas menu was also superb. Highly recommended
Enjoyed food lovely staff very friendly
Went there for lunch a lovely little pub couldnt believe how busy it got. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious we will definitely be going back to try the evening menu.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say approximately 11.
I really can not rate the red lion enough we was made to feel so welcome & the food was just amazing.
Good food, good ale, good people.
The first impression was how busy it was for a Wednesday night, a good first impression. The interior is cosy and well laid out. We did learn a lesson that we should have booked because there were no tables available and it was clear to see why when we saw and smelt the food arriving. Then there are dog friendly pubs and DOG FRIENDLY PUBS, this was just relaxed beyond belief but still under control. It felt like we were amongst friends after one evening, super friendly. We decided to return o eat the following evening as the food just looked too good and it turned out to be the tastiest meal I have had in memory. There are also music weekends with food which look great fun and if we are anywhere nearby then we will be back. Extremely highly recommended.
Best Sunday roast Ive ever had, and like every happy Brit, Ive had a fair few Sunday roasts. There were 4 of us and the food came literally within 5 minutes of ordering, it was huge, and it was good quality. The potatoes were crispy and fluffy, big Yorkshire with a soft squidgy crunch, stuffing mega herby and delicious, nut roast all nutty and roasty, big jug of gravy, loads of veg in a separate bowl, and what really took me by surprise and became the main event of the whole meal, the cauliflower cheese! Loads of it, so so cheesy and loads of it! The cheese even had that golden crunch on the outer layer! Best Sunday Roast Ive ever had.
Nice country pub with lovely interiors and a good outside space
Nice place good pint
What a lovely pub, super staff, and great ales owners are nice and the foods spot on, Sunday roast are great would definitely recommend highly
Friendly service. Good selection of drinks. Dog friendly
Fantastic Pub. Called in on route to Llandeilo over numerous years. Always welcoming, great choice and quality of food. Friendly locals, wonderful outside area. Called in Good Friday lunch time and so a great start to the Easter Break.
Food was outstanding, would have liked chicken however as I dont like Pork and supposed to keep off red meat. I am not impressed that we wasnt able to see bar drink prices though, few issues as drinks appeared really expensive. We did question alot of prices so I would like to see a bar price list
Fantastic staff friendly and very good as we were a large party food was also good and quick and of good quality
We stopped for lunch and received a warm welcome and food and drink were all good nice friendly village pub
Decent little country pub. Cosy. Food decent, but a bit pricey.
Thank you for letting us stay with our campervan in your car park. We had a lovely welcome and our dog Bryn was spoilt with treats. Definitely returning. SOON

Popped in without a booking and they found us a table on a Saturday night. A wonderful warm and friendly welcome made us feel at home and we were so impressed with he Greek inspired menu and delicious food. A real find. Good local Ledbury beer too. Thoroughly recommend this excellent pub.
Called in on our way back from Hereford travelling back to Alcester on Sunday evening. What a gem! Lovely pub with very friendly staff. A really interesting menu of food which our meals were excellent. Wish you were closer to where we live. Thank you
Good food and ales. Friendly staff. Dog friendly.

Lovely dog friendly place to have an excellent meal. All four of us enjoyed our evening and the staff were lovely too.

The pub garden is large and very pretty lovely location and a lovely pub, friendly staff and well worth a return visit
Great food. Nice ales. Excellent service
Fantastic place food brilliant
Good selection of beers, food looked good but didnt eat. Live music on, nice beer garden.
We enjoyed our roast - plenty yummy gravy and delicious side of cauliflower cheese but the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding could have been a bit more crispy. Starter didn t seem to be home made. Friendly relaxed servers with great knowledge of local brews. Thanks Vegetarian options: Veggie roast available and gluten free options
Family had the Sunday roast which looked amazing, but we left with a print from a local artist.
Brilliant service with very friendly staff, very accommodating, good value! Allowed to overnight in the car park!
The food here is delicious, especially the calamari! Dog friendly and great service.
Have just had a lovely meal here. Steve and his staff could not be more friendly or accommodating. Loved that our dog could join us and we all fell in love with Bean and Flo the resident pub dogs. Our meals were all delicious and really enjoyed the Greek inspired dishes. ( Makes a tasty change from the regular pub fare.). Mousaka and Stiffado were LOVELY. Although 3 out of the 6 had non Greek inspired food - steak and burgers which were enjoyed, so something for all tastes. We stayed in our motorhome in carpark and would highly recommend as a motorhome stopover as well as just an excellent pub to visit. There s a lovely beer garden too. Thanks to Steve and staff for a lovely night. Vegetarian options: Lovely colourful vegetarian option. Halloumi and Greek salad was delicious. Parking: Plenty of free parking on level area and an overflow field for parking.
Only popped in on the off chance for a crafty lunchtime pint. Ended up having cheesy chips too. They were delicious. The owner / landlord was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the only friendlier welcomers were his dogs! Will definitely be back Food
Visited here while en route to Cheddar for the weekend, we missed food service however we were both happy with the drinks choice the landlord and landlady were great hosts!
Love this place so much, the guys behind the bar are incredible and make you feel so welcome as well as everyone who works here. Vicky and Steve are also the most amazing people. I ve never met anyone like them. They run an amazing place and still find the time to host music events and come around and talk to everyone! This place is 100% for anyone who loves to sit and relax or find someone to talk to and listen to music. You will always find someone you know or who is willing to talk and make new friends. The atmosphere has made me want to come back so now I come down here almost every weekend. So come down and check it out, I promise you ll have a great experience! :D Wheelchair accessibility: I ve been in a wheelchair for a little while and even though I haven t used it around here I ve seen that it s extremely accessible. There s always someone who will help out if you need it!
Amazing Sunday lunch
Wonderful afternoon spent with good friends enjoying excellent food and a wide selection of drinks. Great live music from mid afternoon to tea time. Fully recommended wish it was my local. Food
Overnight stay in our motorhome was a bonus. Food was excellent as well.
After a short stay in the area, had a nice walk to the pub. Dog friendly, lovely friendly staff. Food was lovely, even the dog enjoyed his burger. Our Doberman and ourselves were well looked after. Will defo visit again if we are back in the area.
Cracking pub. Good food and brilliant staff. Well kept ales. Stop over night is free in the carpark if eating.
Great pub ,friendly staff ,lovely food!
Average food, good freindly service. Not good enough to warrant a return visit.
One of the best in Herefordshire. Found this pub by accident yesterday and I can t speak highly enough. The menu choices are brilliant, the portions are ridiculously generous, the food is top notch and homemade, and the staff are extremely welcoming and professional. Went back for Sunday lunch today and again superb! So nice to finally find somewhere good!
Turned up late in our camper van for a beer after an exhausting day but the pub had unfortunately closed. Tapped the door and asked the landlord if we could still stay in the car park. He said it was absolutely fine. Thank you so much, you saved our sanity, shame we missed a beer or two though.
Friendly welcome and great food
Sunday lunch was super
Lovely pub, lovely people and amazing food
Went for Sunday roast. Nothing special, veggies over cooked. Staff were great. No vegetarian option.
We had a great Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Very friendly service. Food
Lovely food, good beer, friendly staff and a welcome log burner on a cold evening.
Saturday night meal out and stop over in our van, the atmosphere in the pub was lovely, really welcoming and everyone staff and locals made us and our dogs feel so welcome. The food was fantastic. Will definitely add the Red Lion to our list of favourites. A fantastic dog friendly Saturday night out. Vegetarian options: Butter bean gigante was superb
I came here with a friend. I had the Lebanese Chicken which was so tender and beautifully flavoured. Lots of tantalising accompaniments. Just divine. My friend had the Mac and Cheese which was super tasty. I spoke to the chef afterwards and promised her a 5 star review so here it is! Thanks so much. Best food I ve had in a while
Beautiful interior cosy cosy and warm as soon as you walk through the door
Love this place Main host is a friendly guy Great selection of drinks And the food is good, home cooked and very reasonable
Nice pub in a nice village. Had a good lunch. There is also a good choice of beers. Very attentive service
Really nice place to eat and also stay in a campervan! The food was really nice and the staff and other clientele were friendly, interesting and helpful.
So friendly
Very friendly pub with excellent staff and landlord. Good selection of real ales. Excellent food but check for serving times and pub hours.
Great local pub, a very well kept bar and always a friendly welcome
My favourite place to eat! The menu is varied and delicious, the Greek inspired tapas dishes are incredible, the portion sizes are great, the food is good value, the pub is warm and cosy and the staff are all really friendly :). Couldnt fault this place!
Lovely food, dog friendly, nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Would highly recommend.
Great pub and some great food. We stayed in the carpark overnight thanks to landlord. The pub has a very friendly atmosphere if a tad cold. The fire was on but did not seem to get everywhere. Will return.
Great food at a good price. Really accommodating staff. Dog friendly
Average food but very expensive
Very nice place.
Very good pub food and very friendly staff. I had an excellent pint of IPA, dog friendly
Lovely country pub with amazing food and hearty portions!! Emily was the best bar lady ever !!!
Came in here, three weary hikers after a 20 mile walk. The team were so warm and welcoming and extremely helpful. The pub had a great atmosphere, really friendly and we had some great chats. The food looked great, sadly we missed out as we had dinner already made at our AirBnB. Would definitely stop here again!
Excellent food and service, the tall lady is an ace!
Camper pitch on parking lot, cozy pub, hospitable people. We fell head over heels for (butter) cheese because there was a cheese evening, so tasting it was super fun.
Every week my partner and I drive to a random place, find a random pub and see if we like it We stopped off here last night for the first time and we absolutely loved it. The building is gorgeous, with exposed beams, a log burner, a gorgeous beer garden, theyre dog friendly, and theres even the option to go camping in the joining field. The staff were all super welcoming and friendly. For a small pub, the menu was extensive, and had a really good selection for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Were definately coming back soon!
A family meal out we chose the venue by luck.what a lovely pub just outside malvern. great menu and lovely food with excellent friendly staff service, thankyou Emily top rate. Great selection of ales lovely atmosphere. All in all a very lovely evening spent dining here we will come again thats for sure A+++
Staff, food and ambience lovely Definitely recommend the red lion. The landlord was very welcoming and his wife informed us all of the dishes on the menu. The moussaka was very tasty.
Popped in for Greek food pop up on a Sunday afternoon. The food was fine but didnt appreciate the full volume gangster rap music. Appeared the have the same negative effect on other middle aged and mature visitors while lyrics couldnt be described as family-friendly. £11+ for a pint of real ale and medium wine slightly steeper than we expected to boot. We only had one round.
Very warm welcome and excellent food. Beer wasnt bad either!
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Service and food great. Highly recommended
We have visited here a few times now the staff are always very friendly and the food is nice too with decent portion sizes. We especially like the new Gyros event having been to Greece many times and loving a gyro we jumped at the chance to sample them here and it didnt disappoint all washed down with a nice cold cider. See you again soon.
Nice looking pub but food mediocre for price. Went early evening for a family birthday meal with 6 year old. No childs menu very limited choice for kids scaled down version of main menu - kids dont really like a Greek salad or lamb burgers!! Wasnt expecting chicken nuggets but something for the little people would have been nice! Waitress not very helpful when asked if a side portion of garlic bread would be possible with a main meal even though some meals were served with it was told no! quite abruptly. Wont be going back
very good food, great beer, truly outstanding welcome and service! strongly reccomended
Wonderfully spacious pub with genuinely friendly landlord and bar staff. Good range of local beers. We will be back!
The Red Lion is a lovely pub, full of character, serving tasty meals and good beer. The licencees are lovely folk and their staff are outstanding, prepared to offer help and ensure the comfort of their customers. They have visiting caterers on Sundays - Greek gyro kitchen, Beefy Boys from Hereford and others. I wish I lived nearer to it.
Generous hospitality
Stayed here last night in the campervan. Beautiful beer and food. Lovely place. The staff were very helpful and nice. Cannot praise the place enough. Thank you staff....
Very friendly old fashioned pub. Roast Sunday meal.. Old fashioned honest food but very tasty. Super Yorkshire puddings. Great desserts.
Friendly staff decent pub good selection of beers

Great place to stay and eat Proper real ale and well served food was amazing real home cooked food Steve and Vicky couldn t be more welcoming Will be back soon
Lovely pub. We stayed in our camper. They were kind enough to put up a pizza for us as we arrived past the closing of the kitchen. We ll be back for sure. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely meal. Thankyou
Friendly staff, good food and great beer.
We had a family meal and it was just brilliant, start to finish. Superb home made food from a varied menu, excellent staff - and top rate ales. Thanks for a great evening
Its in the middle of nowhere. An unexpected delight after a great hill climb. Would have given it over 5 stars, If that was possible x
Super Sunday roast with friends. Two hours, not hassled, good food, and pleasant service.
This might be the pub that has it all: great food, a variety of lovely beers on tap, wonderful staff and landlords and Guinea fowls just doing their thing. Sunday roast was just amazing. It has the friendliest atmosphere I ve experienced in a long time. Lots of events and themed nights happening. In reasonable weather they allow campervans in the adjacent field (provided that you eat/drink with them) which is absolutely gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and will be returning soon!
Beautiful pub with amazing food and lovely staff!
Lovely pub, good atmosphere and the food is superb.
A lovely pub. We camped on the field at the back, arranged previously with the landlord. Friendly atmosphere. Very dog friendly. The Greek food we chose was excellent and a very good portion size.
Great Pub Awesome food Great Atmosphere *
A great little Riverside pub with lovely staff and owners, a great selection of ales and top scran
Booked a last minute table for a Sunday roast last week. Ordered food and it was delivered within 15 minutes, well presented, well cooked, very pleasant staff and a reasonable price. My only criticism was the room was a little chilly but Im old!!
Stopped ad hoc for lunch and Sunday roast was being served. Friendly staff, lovely pub, Sunday roast ordered and delivered in quick smart time. Food was excellent. Glad I chose it at random.
It was okay not many people in there.
Actually a nice pub, but the food is extremely spicy. Its not for those who dont like spicy food or have allergies. The staff is friendly, but you didnt eat with them. Even though I said no pepper, the food still came with a lot of pepper. Wasnt edible. The menu should say hot or spicy with pepper. At least they didnt charge for the food I gave back. Reply to your presentation: I ask you, how fast is the ambulance if things get serious for you? For allergy sufferers it can happen very quickly and its not a question of taste! If I order a meal without pepper and also mention that I am allergic and still get a pepper rush, that is bodily harm and in certain countries the punishment is very severe. You can be sure that I will never appear at your place again. I wasnt unkind to him, but rather concerned for my well-being.
The Red Lion Cradley serves good food and ales. The staff are friendly and helpful. Ive used this establishment many times and cant fault it. If you happen to pas it on your journey then please pop in see for yourself. Its a traditional country pub.
Great pub, quite busy at 1700. Better inside than it looks on the outside. Food is usually good, we have eaten there many times usually meeting with friends.
My husband and I stopped at Red Lion as we were driving through because we wanted to have dinner and we really liked the outside of this restaurant. Its also very nice inside, an old building, very tastefully decorated with a cozy fireplace. When my husband ordered his meal, we specifically asked whether it contained pepper because he has an allergy, which the waitress in the kitchen kindly clarified. Since there was pepper in it, he ordered something else, but again emphasized no pepper. When the food came we discovered that the sauce was full of peppercorns and he gave the whole thing back. Its really just incomprehensible that his concerns were so ignored. Basically the food was very good, there is nothing to complain about. If you like pepper, its actually excellent. I actually wanted to give 4 stars because the service was otherwise friendly and we didnt have to pay for the food that was returned. The reason I only give it 1 star has to do with the owners response to my husbands review. The fact that he calls him rude and ungrateful just because he makes a justified criticism is completely wrong and we, as non-Europeans who have been in England every year for over 20 years, really dont know such behavior in this country either. It is definitely guaranteed that we wont visit this restaurant again. If an owner doesnt tolerate justified criticism and becomes abusive, he probably doesnt understand what customer orientation and business acumen mean and is doing himself the most harm.
Lovely pub. Great food. Friendly people.
Great to see Greek food on the menu. Delicious!
Dog friendly and very pleasant staff with down to earth and satisfying food and drinks in cosy surroundings. Perfect lunch break for our journey!
Great Sunday lunch! Really lovely pub. Nice welcome by staff and good food.
Called in for a swift pint, friendly staff, and locals and resident dogs. Good choice of ales n ciders
Amazing food and gr8 staff
Very friendly and efficient for very young waitresses. Food was excellent as was the the local ales. We stayed on the field at the back of the pub in our campervan. It rained during the night thankfully sparked on high ground which gave us momentum to get off the field, others where not so lucky.
