Casual dining in the heart of Malvern. We create a casual, dog-friendly dining space where both locals and visitors to Malvern and surrounding areas can come.
Lovely food. Naan could however be made in house but seemed to be from superstore. Otherwise banging food.
We ordered on Uber eats and the food we received looked nothing like what we received. It was all watery and the meat was pink and like rubber. No taste and not edible. We spent £65 and it was honestly the worst Thai food I’ve ever seen. Also. The satay sauce was sour and was so watery. Still waiting on a refund. Terrible!
Lovely find for Sunday lunch. The Beef Penang was superb and I am definitely having the lamb when I return. The view from the terrace is your classic Malvern view and can't be beaten. Service great and for a nice bottle of wine, 2 starters 2 mains and sides it was £90 with a tip. Staff lovely too
Had lunch here today with friends. The weather was lovely so we sat on the terrace. The restaurant is immaculate, the service is polite and swift and the food was great and very reasonably priced. We had two sharing platters of tapas and two Indian fish finger sandwiches. Most items were made from scratch and really delicious for lunch. We will definitely return. You can park there too and put your registration into the system at the bar.
A great find although slightly off the beaten path. We had a selection of tapas dishes which were really tasty. The crispy broccoli was especially good. Very reasonable for 2 of us; I would definitely recommend.
Beautiful spot looking out over The Abbey. We ate outside on the new raised deck areas. Chicken Tika sandwich with fries only £8 and well worth it! Highly recommend
Lovely spot for a drink and some food on the terrace, especially after a walk over the hills. Fantastic views, friendly staff and a tasty menu. Will definitely be back.
Fab experience! Staff were so lovely and friendly! Food was delicious, we had some Indian tapas to share and a curry and rice each and all of the dishes were amazing! Lovely views outside! Lovely decor inside! Would 100% recommend!
Serendipity drew us to this hidden gem. What a great find. Wonderful food, plenty of choice, healthy options too. Great service.
Their website says free parking but beware you don t get fined. They don t tell you to register your car reg at reception. Very sneaky and dishonest. It would be the right thing to do if they asked you at the Lantern reception about your parking arrangements when you got there. It seems many people have been fined. There are signs in car park but when web site says free parking you don t think to check. Change your website and inform people
We only stopped for tea and coffee. The staff were very lovely and we enjoyed our drinks on the perfect sun terrace overlooking Malvern below.
The food was superb . The service was impeccable. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. The next time we visit Malvern, we will definitely be returning to The Lantern.
Lovely quiet little restaurant very nice staff food was very tasty
Food was exceptional, lovely spot with views over the countryside. You might miss it if you walked past on the street so make sure you pop in!
I never write reviews, but this takeaway was awful, no taste, and the meat inendiable . Was so looking forward to a good Pad Thai, and what I got is something I could cook at home and I would do a better job.
Had a fantastic meal with friends at the lantern.. great choice of foods and drinks. Everything served fresh and cooked to perfection! Platters are amazing and great value. Staff were also amazing!! Highly recommend
A little quiet, but food was fantastic, and service was excellent
Called in while walking the dog for something to eat. What a lovely fined. The food was very nice & staff were happy to help and were friendly. I am happy to recommend the Lantern for a tasty meal. Food : 5/5 |
Had a meal there recently and the food was superb! I never knew fish finger sandwiches could be that good! Very clean, tidy place and staff were very considerate to our two little dogs. Will definitely eat there again. Forgot to mention at the beginning of this review - very reasonable prices as well!
Visiting for the weekend and we stumbled upon The Lantern at the back of the Mount Pleasant Hotel, fantastic find!! We had tapas starters, crispy broccoli, thai fishcakes, sticky wings and red onion bhaji, main courses were Chicken Massaman Curry & Prawn Thai Green Curry. Food was 10/10, very authentic, been to Thailand many times, this food ticked all the boxes, great service, we were the first in so felt a bit isolated but it soon filled up and the atmosphere improved, there were some Indian dishes on the menu but we stuck with Thai, give The Lantern a visit, top quality food, you wont regret it!
Nice place, chill atmosphere, great food.
Excellent food, great service! Had a lovely meal at this hidden away new gem of a restaurant right in the middle of Malvern. Also has a fabulous outdoor terrace with good views. Highly recommend the brocoli tapas starter! Food : 5/5
Excellent venue, brilliant location with great views. Sitting outside in the sunshine is perfect! Delicious food, freshly cooked and friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended. Food : 5/5
Went with friends on a very rainy Saturday evening & it was very quiet. We decided to order all the starters to share & enjoyed doing it this way. The Staff were friendly & attentive. I m sure when I go back in warmer times the atmosphere will be better with a buzz of people
Opened late 2023. A new addition from The Mount Pleasant Hotel. Weve been saying for years this needed doing. This place will be busy come the warmer weather as it has lots of very nice outdoor seating. Food is Asian/India fusion. Its really good. Fresh flavours and good portion sizes. great value. Ive been for drinks with a group (10+) of lads and with friends and small children. Staff are welcoming and accommodating. Parking: You must register your vehicle registration otherwise youll get a fine.
Vegetarian options: A different, tasty selection with an excellent orientation flavour Food
Ordered a selection of tapas. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. Portions were generous. Service was attentive without being over the top. My only suggestion would be to offer wine by the bottle as well as by glass. Myself and my guest ordered three large glasses each which proved a bit pricey. Will definitely return and highly recommend
Food and service was great! Portion sizes were quite small but very filling. The sauces didn t taste too authentic and the spring rolls could be improved. Wasn t very crowded but we knew it was a new place. Could do with some dim lights and music. Nonetheless, friendly staff! and hope to see this place improve in the future! It s definitely on its way!
