The Chester County Concert Band (of which I am the President) has had many of our holiday parties here. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The room is a great size for 50-75 people (our usual count). It is nice to have some pool tables and other games available. I also like the fact we are allowed to bring in our own desserts. We look forward to booking next year as well!
Recently hosted a third event here at this location (one personal and two business) and each time we've heard nothing but praise from our guests! Every event gets even better than the last, the attentive staff really listens and is eager to help! Wonderful location for any kind of gathering!
We had an excellent welcome and really great service. I really recommend the tomato bisque soup and the chipotle honey wings. We enjoyed those. The atmosphere was awesome, the new vibe made us feel comfortable and like in a chalet elsewhere in the country. We will give it another chance to try different food.
I had such a great lunch experience at this restaurant! I had the Cobb salad, which was amazing. They’re handcrafted Cock cocktails were fantastic.
We came here immediately after their opening to see the new decor and enjoy the elevated menu. It was a business lunch, and the bar area was perfectly suited for an open discussion without too much noise. Our food was excellent. We had a Caesar salad with blackened salmon, and the Wedge salad also with salmon, that was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed a special tour from Will and will be looking to host events here in the future. This is one of the Main Line’s top new restaurants.
Beautiful place, the ambience is second to none, great food and drinks. We were sat in the bar area but explored the rest of the restaurant and the Derby room and Triphy room were beautifully crafted. The bar same thing, unbelievably beautiful craftsmanship. We were greeted by our server promptly and she was very friendly. We started out with the oysters and a wedge salad, the oysters were some of the freshest we have ever had! The salad was cold and well prepared. Main course we got the jambalaya and Marsala Risotto. The jambalaya was very well seasoned and had the perfect amount of spice, the Marsala was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Highly recommend this place.
The Jockey in Malvern, PA, is an absolute gem! Recently opened, it’s quickly become a standout in the area. Having dined at many local spots, I can confidently say this is by far the best. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance and design captivate you—it’s fresh, inviting, and truly original. But the real star here is the food. Every dish was phenomenal, clearly crafted with care and creativity. The service was top-notch, attentive, and made the experience even better. Everything about The Jockey is exceptional. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!
We had such a great dining experience on opening day. Out waitress was great and very attentive and the renovations are amazing. Each room has its own personality and theme which is beautiful. The food and drinks were delicious. We highly recommend the calamari! This will be a new frequent spot since it's much closer to us than Wills and Bills!
Everything was absolutely delicious.
Everything was delish and the decor and welcoming staff were great!
Came out tonight for dinner and had appetizers drinks and dinners. Service was very good ice was the atmosphere, and the food was definitely above average but had potential. Some of the food was definitely over salted and the drinks were very expensive but overall you felt it was a pretty solid restaurant with a lot of potential
Top notch grub and vibe at the Jockey the other night. Came with friends and had a perfectly cooked strip steak. Dug the rustic yet contemporary ambiance as I sipped one too many white wines (oopsie). Server was friendly and attentive. Solid date or social spot to chill or watch a game. I ll be back.
Awesome weekend happy hour. Love the decor and new menu. Service was quicker. Kid-friendliness: Had a kids menu but was not online or printed yet. Food : 5/5 |
Food and ambience were excellent. bar is a little bit noisy. will definitely be back.
Had to change my daughter on the bathroom floor. Please add changing tables
Im a blogger. Will post positive experience to social media, share it with my friends, families and work/professional colleagues. Parking: Plenty. Huge family and corporate events, there are spots.
incredible brunch and lunch, went two times, both were great
I have never in my life ordered a Titos and club and been charged extra for the club soda? Seriously, shouldnt a single Titos that costs $9 get the club for free? How do they charge an extra $2.00 per drink for club soda? WTH?
The food is excellent! Everyone is very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The restaurant has been recently renovated. The decor is beautiful and very warm and cozy. Parking: Plenty of parking and easy to navigate.
Thank you for making my Birthday special!
5:45 reservation and we were approached by our first server who took our wine order. We were also seated next to a roaring gas fire. We asked for the fore to be turned down. 6 PM our server told us she forgot to put in our wine order. 6:05, another server came to take our order .again. We also asked a manager to please turn down the fire place. By 6:30 still no drinks, no food and the manager was non responsive to turning down the fire place. We left.
Everything was great! The service, atmosphere, food and drinks were exceptional! We ve been to the Will and Bills location several times and LOVE it, so we decided to try this spot closer to home. Similar decor, very comfy, cozy and did not disappoint! The only issue was being seated in the back room, which was quiet and lovely, but near the side door. It gets pretty cold when guests are entering or leaving through it. Honestly, that was the only negative and we felt bad for the couple seated directly next to it. We realized it was the ADA access door, but several other guests used it to enter/exit as well. Maybe not having tables right next to the door in the cold months could allow for a more comfortable experience, in that particular room. We can t wait to come back, and will be telling our friends to try it as well!
The parking lot was full and the bar was packed. We had reservations for regular seating for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful with a cozy atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was great! We will be back!
A group of 10 had dinner. They have a nice private room. The food was great. The onion soup was especially mentioned by several in the group.
Atmosphere and food were fantastic. Devon our waitress was fantastic! Great service and very personable. Requested to sit in her section on our 2nd visit. Definitely a new date night spot for sure!
This is the best restaurant I have been to all year, and I travel a lot for work and this was a nice gem to find.
Great food nice piano player/singer good crowd Parking: Handy can use side door for handicap. Food : 5/5 |
Company I work for had their holiday party in the room downstairs. The pool table didnt have chalk and the shuffle board table was showing its age. Had a great time good little venue for like 30 or so people.
Great menu and atmosphere! French Onion soup is fantastic! Service was great!
Waiter Jake was excellent
Devan was AWESOME Parking: plenty of room to park Food : 5/5 |
An absolute must visit!
Aside from the seating process (which was a bit rough) we had a good experience with everything else - our server was good, the drinks and food were excellent, and we love the horse theme. We enjoyed at the Jockey and plan to return.
The attention to detail is exquisite here! The food, service, and decor of this restaurant were a marvel. Definitely a restaurant I will be a regular at.
The Jockey is definitely an upgrade from their former restaurant, McKenzie s. We stopped in for drinks during their first soft opening. We didn t get food, so I can t comment on that portion. But Kelly, the bartender, was amazing and I would go back just to chat with her. I ordered a blood orange cosmo which was delicious. Having previously dined at McKenzies, I was never a fan of the cocktails. However, Kelly explained that the cosmo mix was now batched making it more consistent, which I was just fine with. My husband had a house Manhattan, which he said was ok. I think his biggest complaint was the vermouth they use, but that s probably the standard used at most restaurants. My last concern is if kid friendly again. We have three young children, of which we took with us for dinner sometimes at the former McKenzies. However, with the nicer ambiance, I m just not sure how kid friendly it is now. We asked for a kids menu at the hostess stand so we could peruse, but they said something about just asking the waiter for one when we dined in. Overall a good first experience, drink wise. Will come again with friends for dinner to get more of a a feel!
The Jockey just reopened, and it was a fantastic dining experience! The food and drinks were delicious, and the service and ambiance were even better. I look forward to coming back regularly and am excited to try the weekend brunch!
The best thing I can can say about it is the ambiance. The renovation was tastefully done. That being said, the food was just mediocre. I wasnt very hungry so I ordered a few appetizers - calamari and cheese fondue. My boyfriend got the wings, which he said were good. The fondue tasted like melted American cheese, which is not a traditional fondue ingredient. Disappointed. Ill be back but Im not in a hurry to get there.
Our server Elle was great. We meet monthly for our Book Club and she is so polite, friendly, patient and gives individual checks with no mistakes for 13 ladies. Food was good too. I had the Jockey burger. Perfectly cooked.
The restaurant just opened 3 days ago. We stopped by for Sunday brunch to check it out. The decor is lovely but the food was just so-so. Not terrible, but not great. They also need some tweaks for the brunch menu no sides like bacon, toast or sausage available to order. I had the Bloody Mary and it was also just so-so. We decided we d try again for the regular menu. I also have some friends that will need a handicapped entrance to avoid steps but it s not easy to see how they could enter the restaurant.
I have come to this location for over 12 years. This place will never make it. NFL Sunday. First week open. 3 people at the bar. Left and went to Chickies. No tables available. Jockey has no football specials. No beer specials. No wings special and listen to this 6 ounce Coke bottles ;.4.00 a bottle. 6 20 ounce bottles at store 5.24. This place will never make it. Chickies has all the football specials. Never be back. A place open in their first week should be packed.
The Jockey Tavern is a stunning transformation of the former McKenzie Brewhouse, combining upscale elegance with cozy charm. The attention to detail in the décor is impressive, and the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and not overly loud a definite plus. The large bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail and the delightful tunes of the piano man before heading to one of the uniquely styled dining rooms. We enjoyed the fondue appetizer and a variety of delicious entrees, including the Miso Salmon, shrimp and scallops in coconut curry, a tomahawk pork chop, and Chicken Marsala, all perfectly prepared. Dessert was a decadent sundae with flourless chocolate cake, and the drinks, including a Gin Springs cocktail and Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc, were excellent. Our server, Sierra, was attentive and added to the exceptional experience. We can t wait to return!
Beautiful renovation. Brunch menu is fantastic. $23 for entree and that includes 1 mimosa, Bellini, or Bloody Mary. Steak and eggs was delicious.
Wonderful place, great menu, and an even better atmosphere. Definitely an establishment I will return to for amazing food and great memories with family and friends.
Loved the experience!
Loved the Jockey Tavern! Great casual date spot, great food, super nice staff! Can t wait to go back!
Great happy hour experience. Will definitely return!
Dinner was very enjoyable at the Jockey Tavern. The servers were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The spicy caesar salad is great, and the ambience is welcoming and comfortable. Looking forward to my next visit!
Yummy food! Place looks great. Servers need a little more practice I think! Drinks are very small servings Dietary restrictions: Need a few more healthy options!
I just had the best French onion soup Ive ever had. Hand downs... they use some sort of miracle bread that doesnt get all soggy and saturated. The cheese was on point but isnt a nightmare to break apart, and the consistency of the soup was thicker than any French Onion Ive had before. Also I dont know what that last reviewer ordered that got a small drink but my old fashioned is anything but small and very properly made. And as far as service goes, Erin and Draagon were outstanding behind the bar. Im a no fuss kind of person but I dont mess around when it comes to an old fashioned and good food. Ill be back... probably too often. This was place needed. MacKenzies was okay at best
The food, service and atmosphere was great. Love the new theme and decor!
Great food, great environment, great staff and an overall top-tier experience. They went above and beyond with the re-opening -- the new decor and layout were truly well done. Cant wait to come back with family and friends soon
Very expensive for what you get. Martinis are so so small. 3 sips and your done for what you pay. The glass is so thick and short . There is nothing in it. $19 for a hamburger. Wow. The nachos were small but substantial. The atmosphere is nice and they did a great job one the renovation. but the food and cocktails are expensive. $16 for a sauvignon blanc. Its Malvern. Not the city Other portions are small for how much everything is on the menu. I understand the new branding, but prices are high. Hope Trump brings all these prices down like he promised.
