Sunday lunch time buffet menu, absolutely fabulous

Good Thai food. Wonderful buffet for Sunday lunches.

We semi often enjoy a takeaway but today we went to the restaurant for the Sunday buffet. A great selection of dishes which were regularly topped up. Helpful efficient staff. Plenty of space at the table. The boys enjoyed watching the fish.

Hidden gem. We have never been to Malvern amd wanted somewhere to eat before the theatre. You wouldnt know this restaurant was there, it is set back in the houses. It has amazing authentic decor, friendly staff and the food was amazing. If you are in the area, this is a must

Just back from a lovely meal. Liked the decor and we were really well looked after throughout the meal. We enjoyed all the dishes that we tried, particularly the Thai egg fried rice and lamb massaman curry. Decent selection of drinks and we thought it was all reasonably priced. Will return!

Im not impressed. There was some confusion over who was having what food. The starters were good but the main course was not hot. Despite the table heaters. This is the third time Ive been. Once privately and twice with a group. Im not impressed, I like my meals hot.

Always have a good Thai meal here. Service is great, food is tasty and well spiced and there is lots of choice - good choice for vegetarian dishes also. The Thai wine is also pretty descent. Would highly recommend Thai rama for a special occasion or an evening meal. Vegetarian options: Good choice, can have vegetables or Tofu Parking: Big car park, easy access

I came to this Thai restaurant on a Sunday. I originally thought I was ordering from the menu, but when I arrived I found out it was an automatic lunch, priced at £12.95 per person + 10% service charge. Lunch includes appetizers (fried food + skewered chicken, etc.), salad, Thai soup, rice, fried rice, Pad Thai, about ten kinds of hot food, including vegetarian food, as well as desserts and fruits. All kinds of food taste very good. Its worth eating such a quality and cheap lunch in the UK. The lunch buffet is only available on Sundays, and a la carte menu is available from Monday to Saturday.

A1 service and food. Already booked to go again while there.

Turned up on a Saturday lunch but was not open travelling 40 minutes apparently you have to book lunchtime it doesnt state this anywhere on the website or on Google emailed but never received a response

Third visit and fantastic meal and service. THE best - beats all the highly rated restaurants in Cheltenham and Gloucester AND less pricey. Fantastic, friendly service. Cannot praise too highly, Thank you for a great evening Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly. Our youngest was tired after travelling and they let him sleep on the sofa! It was a double birthday celebration and the staff were really on board with it. THANK YOU!

Not a review of food, but severely disappointed. We booked a table for 8.15 to arrive and be told that our table wouldn t be free for another 45 minutes due to people showing up to their bookings late. We are now left with no option but to go and find somewhere else for dinner! There was no offer to make up a table, or move people on. There was no apology, and not even really an inch of sympathy for the fact that even having booked a table we were unable to actually eat. Very disappointed.

Good service and amazing food, very fairly priced as well. The couple who run the place have also taken extra precautions to make the eatery COVID safe.

What a gem. A superb Thai restaurant with great ambience and top-class food. We lived in Thailand for 11 years and know very good Thai food when we taste it! Alas, we were only in the area overnight to break a long drive so its unlikely that we will be able to eat there again, but wed be back regularly if we lived in the area.

We have been coming to this thai restaurant for about 15 years now, and it is the best thai restaurant in the UK we have ever been to. We live 30 minutes away but still travel over as we love it so much. The food is tasty, varied and simply divine. There is always a generous serving of meat or fish, the flavours are spot on and we are never left disappointed. We have tried all the local thai restaurants in Worcester, Cheltenham, Pershore and Bromsgrove, but Thai Rama outshines them all by a country mile. The staff are friendly and welcoming and now greet us like old friends which is always lovely, and the decor and atmosphere is warm, inviting, intimate and yet ornate at the same time. The speed of service is never rushed or too slow either, it s just right. Thai Rama simply can t be beaten plus, it s great value. Kid-friendliness: The lady owner loves children!

Arrived on a Friday lunchtime to find it closed, despite being advertised as open. Thanks for your sincere apology! It would be helpful to indicate on your website that bookings are required. In future I ll be sure to go elsewhere.

Wow, what a Gem of a place, new ish to the area, looking for a Thai to replace our one from down south, ticked all the boxes, warm welcome, cosy, good selection, good value and a taste bud explosion, top place will be revisiting very soon.

Holidaying in the area and chose this restaurant as it was local to our accommodation and had good reviews. We were only collecting a takeaway but when walking in, immediately noticed the beautiful decor and friendly staff. Food was delicious and good sized portions. Definitely recommend.

Sunday lunch was delicious

Had a lovely meal with 3 friends. The first since covid, but frequent visitors. Very careful with covid measures, understandably, tho front door locked until they come & take your temperature! We shared 2 banquets which were lovely, tho in the past weve been offered top ups if required but we werent offered this time. My only gripe is that there is always a 10% service charge added without question, and that irkes me. I like to decide the tip based on service.

Im not hugely familiar with Thai restaurants, my colleagues were extremely effusive about their own meals, my own was extremely enjoyable. Prices were very reasonable, pretty much all main courses were under £10. The restaurants biggest problem is that they dont make it very clear that theyre open at lunchtime, beside our table of 5 there were only 2 other diners, with 2 serving staff and the chef you have to wonder if they broke even! If youre in the area and want something a little different then I can definitely recommend them.

Went to the restaurant last night, luxury dining with amazing staff who made us feel really special. The food tasted delicious as always. A wonderful place to enjoy special authentic food.Social distancing was in place so felt safe at all times. Will definitely be back.

As far a buffets go we were pretty impressed. Tried most dishes all of which were pretty good. Best dish for me was the chilli beef. £55 for 3 adults with 3 drinks is good value. Restaurant itself is also nice with some authentic Thai decor.

Excellent food, brilliant service, good parking, spotless toilets. And cheap - £11.95 for an all-you-can-eat sunday lunch buffet. Including dessert. Whats not to like?

It was the first time I tried Thai cuisine, great experience. Exotic but balanced flavours, dishes presented very well. We chose the non-spicy menu to avoid too spicy foods. Nice place located just outside Malvern.

My girlfriend and I went to the restaurant on a Saturday evening. When researching this restaurant, the first red flag for me was that, from the customer feedback, it appears that Thai Rama do a Sunday buffet. In my experience, no decent Thai restaurant in the UK does buffets. The second red flag was that their website looks shocking and the photographs of their food on the site didnt even look appetising. However, we were drawn to this restaurant in the end because there are so, so many positive reviews about this place on both Google Reviews and Tripadvisor. If you are after a genuinely good/excellent Thai meal, then you wont get that at Thai Rama. Itll be, at best, just below average and should be at a price point around £10 per head. The meal was thoroughly disappointing and the experience frustrating. We had a starter, 2 curry mains, a green tea, and 2 rice dishes and the total bill came to just under £45. For that price point, I wasnt expecting frozen, salty, sludgy Thai food that took over an hour to arrive at our table. Firstly, the positives: 1) Quick to serve us with a table, drinks and starter. 2) Interior decor was quite nice - they have definitely made an effort and the waitresses wore what I assume to be traditional Thai dresses. 3) The actual presentation of the starter was pleasant, with decorative vegetables etc. 4) The waitresses are friendly and helpful. And now for the negatives: 1) It took us over 1 hour to be served our mains. It was a Saturday evening and most of the tables were taken, so it was relatively busy but waiting over 1 hour for our meals was obviously absurd. 2) The starter was breaded, buttered shrimp that had blatantly been frozen. It tasted bland. 3) The green curry I had was so terribly salty. The red curry my girlfriend had was so watery. Good Thai currys arent like that. 4) The most obvious flaw in the quality of the food was the so called coconut rice. It didnt even look cooked properly and had what looked like some pseudo-coconut rice pudding poured onto it. Ive eaten in 20+ Thai restaurants in the UK and Ive never seen coconut rice presented in that fashion nor have I tasted coconut rice like that before. It was sub-par and frankly, embarrassing. The whole experience was a complete write off. My biggest frustration though is that the unbelievably favourable reviews that this restaurant has on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews, because without those, I would never have bothered visiting this restaurant based on the buffet red flag and the photos of the food on their website. I can only conclude that those who have described this restaurant as one of the best Thai meals I have ever had have simply not had much Thai. Also, I suspect that the high rating Thai Rama have received is more as a result of offering their Sunday buffet; which some customers seem to really gravitate towards. If you want good / excellent Thai food, look at: 1) Siamais in Birmingham (although, judging by their recent Google reviews, their standards have dropped) 2) Nipa Thai in Lancaster Gate, London 3) Isan Thai in Poole
