The Reach Neighbourhood Pub & Grill in Maple Ridge

I have never been to The Reach before. I simply popped in as I was early to visit friends in the area. It was 3:30 on a Friday afternoon before the Christmas week ahead. The place was packed, filled with people smiling, laughing, and having fun. I didnt order any food. The people and staff were super friendly, and the price on my favorite craft brew was an amazing $4!!! Plenty of TVs for the sports enthusiasts and KENO as well. Ill Be Back!! See you there?

My husband and I went over here for Wing Wednesday and to watch the hockey game the other night. The wings were fine, but the service absolutely tanked. It was a louder night, but not over all super busy. We were sat for over 30 minutes before seeing a waitress, she finally took our drink order and didn t come back for another 25. If we had seen her running around the restaurant, we would ve been more inclined to be more patient, as we understand things get busy. She passed us several times, each time without our drinks which could ve easily been placed on her tray and dropped off. She d run past our table, tap it and say she was grabbing whatever we had asked for or to take our order, but would take nearly 30 minutes each time to come back. We saw her maybe 3 times, and what should ve been a quick in and out for some wings, we were there almost 3 hours, had only 1 drink refill and nothing else, never asked us if we needed anything, and you couldn t catch her otherwise. Also, they cease to mention that pop refills are not free on Wednesdays, which seems like a scam to get you in the end. While it s just pop, I understand, be upfront with customers so they can decide what they want to do with that information. It wasn t until we asked for the bill (3 different times) that she finally came and had a second to stop and chat, to which she instantly brought up her children and Christmas coming, which to us felt like tip baiting. Terrible experience, which tanks because the atmosphere seemed like it could be fun, and the food (wings at least) wasn t bad.

Wings were pretty decent. Service was pretty slow and we had to get up to find the waitress for the bill, but it was busy. What was confusing was that I ordered a Sapporo and got a dark coloured beer instead. Not too sure what it was (it wasnt a Guinness), but it supposedly came out of the Sapporo tap. Thankfully it wasnt a huge deal because my second choice was a Guinness or another dark-coloured beer.

Attended the Christmas Haven Red fundraiser. The food was good and service very good!

This place is GREAT lot of regulars food is awesome...Wings night fantastic fantastic and the girls on the Bar THE BEST the waitresses 2nd to none....

Came here with for Monday night football, great atmosphere, great deal on buffet and burgers.

I like the price its close for us. The only problem is the reservations. They take a lot of reservations, so when theres an event as in a game, every table is booked.out...and honestly alot of.people.show.up.20.to.30 Min after the start. Just my thoughts but maybe limit reservations to 40 or 50%...of.the bar...

Staff is great , always friendly and have smiles . For a larger than expected pub it comes with that small local pub feel.

Tuesday Tacos and the Wednesday wings keep me coming back

Typical pub fare,had the baron of beef ,which was good with the extras added.Wont be going back,the debit card or credit card machines are set at 18 percent tip and go up from there.Saturday might,it was dead.

Tried a few months ago and actually sent food back, something I ve never actually done before as I have a pretty high tolerance for subpar food. Tried again today and was horrible again. This time just paid bill and vowed never to eat there again. Beer was good though!

Not really a food place, does allow family seating at night in a separate section of the bar, and has a kids menu, has drink deals but only for cheap things, insists on their own made up names for drinks, a margarita is not a margarita, its a single shot of tequila with slushy rather than the classic 3 p tequila, 2 p orange liquor, 1 p lime juice. Ordered a steak sandwich, what came first was well done... not in the good way, I asked for rare, in addition it was a tiny steak, I sent it back and eventually got a replacement... (my kids where finished eating) the replacement was rare, totally devoid of seasoning and probably 2 1/2 times the size of the original steak... raises questions of quantities served. It was open when we needed a place to eat... and thats about the extent of the good side, Kid-friendliness: Does have a kids menu and a second section for families.

Came here on a Wednesday evening, place was quite busy we were seated after a short wait, first thing I noticed was the wonderful east west orientation of windows allowing a nice shine from the setting sun in while I ordered a 5$ pint of Canadian, I was quite happy with the quality of the wings alot of restaurants lose quality on wing nights due to the sheer volume of orders but not here, our server Jenn provided excellent service allowing my table to maintain conversation by not hovering while ensuring to keep our drinks full and table cleared, will definitely be returning for the 6$ breakfast on weekends

Great prices on their food!! 2 dozen HUGE wings and iced tea (free refills) for $21! Left there stuffed, happy and still had cash to burn! Love this place, new favorite dinner location. Parking: Tough to find parking but not impossible.

Nice spot to stop at for a mid-day meal.

The food was awesome! Had the 3 cheese grilled sandwich with the house salad. I definitely will order these again!! Loved the salad, has everything you would want!! Downside was that I definitely knew I was going into a pub. The smell of beer hit me in the face as I walked in.

Wings are perfect.

First and perhaps most importantly... The Reach has plastic straws, this point alone deserves six or seven stars... but there is much more that this great pub has to offer. The food is good too and the service is also great. It is LOUD, but this is to be expected in a pub. Ill be back for sure. I highly recommend that you try them out, too. Its probably one of the better pubs in Maple Ridge!

It was a Tuesday night

Showed up for Super Bowl 1.5 hours before kick off. Sat at a table that was not marked as reserved. The pub was only 1/2 full at this time. I was asked if we had a reservation . We replied No and the waitress took our order. A manger came by a couple minutes later and kicked us out since we didn t have reservations. We were told the whole pub had reservations and we can t be there. If the whole pub has reservations why not mark off every table ? Why not a sign on the door ? We went to another pub and the reach lost out on a $600 bar tab. I won t be back.

Food is sometimes hit and miss but most of the time its a hit. They have the best beef dip I have ever had, pair it with an awesome ceasar salad. The service is great, I have only had one instance of poor service since we have been dining there.

This place is asleep. It used to be a fun, live, happening place. It needs to be revitalized or turned into a restaurant.

Always love the service here. We live nearby so find ourselves at the reach often! Food is pretty standard pub food but the chicken wings are good! Drinks are cheap :)

Really terrible burger. Like frozen no name brand. Maybe they pulled this out because it was a fundraising pub night and it s not their regular fare, not sure. Would not go here again.

Last time I was there was close to 20 years ago, but I was very happy to go back again in 2023. Went there quite a bit in 20s before I moved. We went on a Wednesday wing night so of course it was busy. Guests were being demanding on the hostess and waitresses, but I felt they were doing a good job given how busy it was. Pros - I was happy with the service - the wing quality was very good. A lot better than Earl s and Cactus and approximately $8 cheaper - beer prices were good too Cons - The place is getting a little stale in the ambiance department but I ll definitely go back.

Came in for wings on Wednesday night with my friends. Food and drinks were great but the service was even better. I ve been served by Olivia before and she makes the experience of eating out so much more fun. She hasn t served my friends and I for three months and when we came in she asked us about updates on our life and she remembered things from three months prior!!!! Drinks were good! But the food was really bad. We ordered fries, how can someone go wrong with fries? I felt they were double fried. We also ordered chicken and fish tacos, they were okay-ish!

Great local pub and happy that they still have a pool table the reason I took my budy there. Kid-friendliness: Think it is before 9pm kids are allowed. I take my kids for happy appy hour.

It was our first time here and Abby made so feel comfortable. You can tell she really cares about her job and went above and beyond to make me and my friends comfortable. Food and drinks were made proper and the prices are great! Five stars to Abby and The Reach

Margarita was not good tasted pre made. Burger was pretty well done and dry. Wings were good. Suicide hot is like a regular hot.

This was the worst pub I ever went to. Had a shrimp and avocado wrap. Disgusting. Shrimp were old and mushy. The nachos were also bad. Chips were soggy on the bottom. Not much cheese either. Waitress ok. We pretty much left everything and left. Waitress did credit us for the wrap. Parking: Ok parking.

The food is okay, prices are great, staff are friendly, atmosphere is super relax.....the music is good! Over all I recommend it....

I am not a football fan and wondered in to this place with my wife for a quiet drink on a Monday night. Monday night football was blasting out as loud as possible we couldnt hear each other speak, which in some circumstances could be a blessing but not on this occasion. If youre a football fan this IS probably the place to head to a Monday night.

Abby is the best server and always makes you feel welcomed, she goes out of her way to make sure you ve had a fantastic experience all around! Great food, drinks and service. WINGS are a great deal. Pickles and potato skins are also 20/10 .

I felt like a change so hit the Reach tonight for a glass of red and the Friday steak & prawn & caesar salad special for $17.95. Within a minute of sitting at the bar a server (whose name I didnt get unfortunately as I expected it to be on my bill but it wasnt) greeted me with a smile, wiped the bar down in front of me and slid a coaster onto it. Three for three so far. She continued to nail it throughout my time with her friendly attentiveness and perfect timing. Its such a thrill for me to experience five star service. Thank you! Ill be back. I gave four stars for atmosphere because every single one of the nine screens I could see from where I was sitting was showing sports. I would have loved just one showing music vids to accompany the background music. I gave four stars for the food because it was good, fresh, flavourful. I particularly enjoyed the prawns, which were tender and delicious. The bacon bits on the salad were homemade but the croutons werent.The steak was cooked to medium rare as ordered but I had to spit several chewy bits out which is typical in my experience for a steak at this price point but overall a good meal for the price and excellent service.

Come here at least 1 time if not 2 times a month on Wednesdays for wings. I always get 2 rounds if not 3. Always great wings. Always warm and hot. Best pub in ridge in my opinion.

Have been to The Reach for a long time now, back when they were The Fox s Reach and is a great neighborhood pub. Even though the pub is located in Maple Ridge, I still make the trek out considering I live in Coquitlam. I am here at least once a week for Wing Wednesdays and the odd Fridays because of Jill, Abby and Kaytee. The 3 of them are the stars here, just amazing service and a great smile, keep it up ladies! And considering the overall living in Canada now, the alcohol pricing is not inflated like other places.

Real nice sports bar/ restaurant in Maple Ridge. Reduced menu from pre-covid but still lots of choices. Great beer selection and some of the nicest staff Ive ever encountered.

First time at this restaurant, didnt disappoint! We picked a spot in the solarium which was quiet and had nice ambience. Despite being Wing Wednesday and happy hour at the same time, we were greeted as soon as we sat down and the food came out super quick. Good selection of beers on tap and lots of wing flavours to choose from!

Service is absolutely horrible. The only reason my review is not at one star is because the wings are cheap on Wednesday.

Service is extremely slow, sat down and got greeted almost 25 minutes to get greeted. Our drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive. We were told we had to wait to order food, let alone our server and walked away when we tried to order a new drink

Some of the worst food in maple ridge, beef dip sandwich was dry and flavourless. Friends have gotten sick numerous times from wing night here. Service is mediocre, wouldn t recommend. Other bars like townhall and blacksheep are much better.
