Bright eatery serving Canadian comfort grub, including breakfast items, made from local ingredients.
“Big Feast Bistro is an absolute gem! The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, with a great variety of options to please any palate. The cozy atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff make it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a special occasion. Don’t miss their locally-sourced ingredients and creative menu — highly recommend!”
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! As someone who needs gluten-free options, I was thrilled to see so many choices on the menu. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The only hiccup was the choppy radio, but when we asked if they could turn it off, they were incredibly kind and took care of it right away. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a friendly spot with excellent service!
Food was great!! We had the salmon benny (3.5/5) and the pulled pork hash (5/5) for brunch! The bistro was clean and has nice decor. Our service was a bit slow when we dine in but staff members were very friendly. I would definitely go back 😄
Great spot in maple ridge with really good food and service. The tacos were amazing. Gets really busy during peak times so be ready to wait.
Absolutely marvelous server :) I had so many dietary restrictions, and she made sure I got exactly what I could eat. She wasn't short or annoyed at me at all, which I really appreciated. Thank you, nice server ♡ And the salad was delicious as well. I can't wait to go back ♡
Great Little Restaurant to come have great home cook food. The atmosphere is comfortable and service is friendly and fast. Layla provided great customer with a smile. Thank you
Quite far from Vancouver. Came here to meet some friends for Saturday brunch. Ordered the Big Feast Grilled Club and sneaked a few bites of the Breakfast sandwich. The grilled club had thick crisp bacon, chicken breast, lots of mayo, shredded lettuce and a side of salted fries. The club was a bit messy/fell apart, fries were crisp and salted just right. Overall the club was good and would order again. My sneak bites of the breakfast sandwich with roti as the bun were good but the side roasted potatoes were a bit burnt and carbonized which was a bit off putting. I would try the breakfast sandwich next time but with a different side maybe with fries if they could substitute. The carbonized potatoes were just off putting and I don’t think I’d enjoy the rest of the meal because of that. Staff were nice and attentive always came by refilling beverages. I would recommend and definitely say give it a try if in the neighbourhood but not so much trek from Vancouver.
This is fantastic restaurant. I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The service is optimistic and professional. I like the design of the interior, despite the small venue space. I ate there for lunch and had the Lennon's French Toast. It was the best French toast I have ever had at any establishment. All of the ingredients pay compliments to each other and taste great altogether. The coffee was not just great, it was Grade-A quality. I hope to come back to Big Feast Bistro very soon when I am in Maple Ridge again.
The food is sooo Delicious. I would definitely recommend this to Everyone. Breakfast: Whats your story morning glory..Yummy Meat loaf...just like mama made. My friends and I go there whenever we are in the area.
The food was great, speacially the eggs benny and potatoes were delicious
Nice selection of food on Menu. Delicious food, nice ambience and good staff!
Its a smaller place with an awesome atmosphere. We were lucky to have found a seat without a reservation, which I suggest you do to get a seat. The service followed by incredible tasting food is very nice. This is a must to try.
Fantastic food and always look forward to lunch here. Highly recommend! My favourite place to eat lunch in the lower mainland. It should be Michelin rated.
Great portion sizes, friendly staff, and many great and unique food options.
This place was fabulous food, exceptional service... Run dont walk to get there!!
Great food choices, friendly staff, and mimosas!
Shannon was our server and she was awesome! The food was delicious!
We came in here for lunch/ brunch I had the eggs Benny with ham fruit & potatoes my partner had cajun chicken said it was spicy and delicious the Parmesan cream was unreal !
coffee was great although it took 15min to get to us. food was bland, our potatoes or overly oily and mine and my daughters poached eggs were almost hard when we asked for medium. over all Id stop in for a coffee but wont be going back for breakfast
I recently visited the Big Feast Bistro and was disappointed by the experience. After waiting 20 minutes without even receiving water or service, we decided to leave. We were excited to try the food from the menu, but it was frustrating not to be acknowledged at all. I understand that it can get busy, but a simple glass of water would have made a difference. The overall vibe felt unfriendly, and it left a sour impression. I won t be returning.
We have been regular patrons for years. The service and food used to be amazing. Lately the service has been less than the high bar they once had. Today we were seated at a table and sat for over 15 minutes without anyone coming to our table all. We ended up walking out and passed at least 5 servers standing around the counter chatting. We will not likely return
Had breakfast you would think a place called big feast would have large portions but this isnt the case
Good food, but the wait for them takes forever. Serving staff can be more efficient and they definitely need more help in the kitchen.
Layla provided the worst service by far. She has a horrible attitude toward customers & just people in general. I used to be a big fan of big feasts but after the last 3 times I ve gone and received her as a waitress I will not go back. I had originally gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she was having a bad day but she just has a bad attitude! Do better!
My breakfast had fruit salad ,expecting a fresh and vibrant mix of fruits. However, to my disappointment, the fruits were clearly frozen, lacking any flavor or texture. When I brought this to the waiter s attention, instead of offering a replacement or addressing the issue, they simply packed the same disappointing fruits for me to take home. It felt like my complaint was completely ignored, and I was left with a subpar dish that didn t match the quality I had anticipated.
First time there, had the Eggs Benedict, they were great.
Kenzie truly elevated our brunch experience with her infectious positivity, impeccable professionalism, and genuine sweetness. Its rare to encounter someone who embodies such outstanding hospitality. Kudos to Kenzie for her exceptional service shes a true standout!
Food is fresh and good tasting but a bit more on the expensive side.
This is our favourite breakfast place and we love bringing company when they come in town. Service and food are always consistently great but it s on the smaller side so best to make a reso if you have a larger group to be safe! I always have a hard time choosing what to order because there are so many good options (which is hard to come by in maple ridge let s be real).
Incredible restaurant. Great food, love how it s farm fresh! Can t wait to go back!
Went here for brunch on a break from work. This place is awesome! Great service, chill atmosphere and plant based options!
There was barely anyone inside and we were told that it would be 45mins wait to get serve for a breakfast ..what a joke
This place is delicious. I love that they have lots of clearly labeled vegan options!!! The staff was friendly and attentive. Vegetarian options: At the vegan tofu scramble which was absolutely delicious... The best part was their breakfast potatoes.
The best brunch spot in Maple Ridge by far. Delicious and fresh food. Definitely worth a visit. Everything is around 20-30$ for each item.
Food was amazing, service was friendly and attentive. Great experience !!
The breakfast poutine is ABSOLUTELY to die for!!!
Been to Big Feast many times and greatly enjoy the coffee and brunch. The last few times we have tried to order online for takeout it doesn t seem to be turned on so we have to call and wait. I enjoy the eggs Benny and you have to try some of the gluten free cookies.
I cant wait to come again for a nice brunch
Went for brunch, quality food & service
Great dinner and excellent food.
Big Feast Bistro has very nice patio for breakfast, we didn t wait too long for our order and everything was delicious and fresh Overall we really enjoyed our time at this restaurant If you re in Maple Ridge I highly recommend to stop and visit this place
The food is amazing
Big Feast is a fantastic establishment. The food tastes fresh and like theres thought to each and every dish and bite. The balance of fresh ingredients and the use of non conventional ingredients to make their take on dishes is refreshing. The Pull Pork Hash is the best example, using yams and sweet potatoes for some sweetness then the salty pork and BBQ balance the dish out so well. The poached eggs were on point and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and tangy to top it off. Great environment. Located right in the middle of town. The staff is friendly. The drip coffee was awesome. Great place to eat and its awesome to support the locals. They also have a huge selection of take away items made in house.
The service is friendly and fast, and the washroom was good. The crab eggs Benedict was not great... It seemed more like it was made from canned tuna, though I was expecting more like surimi sticks. Food : 4/5
I would recommend eating here the food is very good but make sure you have time to stay service is very slow.
Lovely place! Had not been here since pre-covid. The food was delish...ordered Salmon Benny & the chicken & shrimp chow mein. Both hot (temp) & very tasty. Had mango mimosas. Atmosphere is a vibe. We did have to wait quite a while for our food, not sure why. Initially wasnt as busy but got busier. I would still go back though as we spent a love time catching up with a friend.
Yum!! VERY tasty food, beautifully decorated place, and not only that, but the service is really great. I would definitely recommend this place if you need a good, filling breakfast.
Love this place
Nice place and I do appreciate the vegan options. However, I most certainly dont love that they charged me an extra $1 for a wee bit of oat milk for my Americano, not even a latte, which I would have understood. Ridiculous.
There is nothing on their menu that isnt absolutely amazing.
The vegan options are always so tasty and hearty! I got the vegan scramble the other day and it was amazing :)
Everything is so great about this place. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian selection. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly
The food was DELICIOUS. Lots of variety of things to choose from including some take-home options which would be a great easy week-day meal. The staff were warm, inviting and engaging while still being efficient and customer-service focused.
Had the corned beef hash here and it was delicious. However, it didn t blow my mind. Would be back to try other dishes when in the area. Alia was great and attentive!
Delicious food... Especially the frozen soups to go! Dietary restrictions: The have gluten free baking thats delicious! Food : 5/5 |
Food was excellent but portions quite small.
Excellent service and food. Always enjoy coming here for brunch. Recommend to reserve ahead of time
Great food, also buy some of the peanut butter its amazing.
Great staff and the foood is unique and delicious
Of the best place to have breakfast I recommend this place to all. Food
Been coming here for a long time and it has always been one of my favourite restaurants. Today the food took forever and it was awful - I ate it because I was starving but I currently do not feel well and wish I would have said something. My boyfriend s food looked worse than mine but again we were starving. My boyfriend has had a few bad experiences lately too aside from today. The place has definitely gone down hill.
Really good pulled pork sandwich. Just wish it had more sauce. I like things saucy.
I have always loved Big Feast. It still rocks. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing. A very community feel. Dietary restrictions: There are a variety of options for allergies and sensitivities, and you can usually make substitutes.
Great food. Love the local-sourced healthy approach. The prepackaged takeout options are a plus!
They have a great selection of food and drinks. Im vegetarian, and i had their Whats the Story, Morning Glory? dish, i was really. I hope they have a location in Langley too. Vegetarian options: I think they have enough options for vegetarians and that is really good.
Nice and positive experience, i wish this restaurant had bigger space just so many people can dine in. Hosts were awesome. Food was great and reasonably priced.
We stopped in randomly from out of town and we really lucked out finding this place. The food was excellent, friendly staff and we even took away a cookbook to try new recipes.
Friendly and welcoming service. Good enough sized servings but not big. Seems to be a popular place with locals.
Favorite restaurant in town. Yum.
Mike is such a nice guy! And the food . Soooo good! They don t serve food like this anywhere else! Love this place- just wish it was closer to where I lived!
Chickpea Korma was delicious! Ambience was good, service was friendly. 1.5 hour wait for the food though. Including wait to table and at table (server mentioned kitchen is backed up).
Great food and service
Went here on a Sunday at 2:20. Online says that they close at 3. We were told that they already done there last call maybe dont say that your open till 3 then. Ive been here before and really enjoyed the food but probably wont be back now.
Every time I am in Maple Ridge, I want to eat here. Such good breakfast, super high quality ingredients, creative items. All the French toast = so delish! The servers are all so great at their jobs, and really care to make sure youre happy. They cater to my food allergies with kindness and patience and I always feel safe even trying new items. Patio is nice to sit out on even during the cold season.
I have eaten here many times across years and I have never had less than a good experience. Their food is always excellent (though I wish some of their portions were slightly larger to match their name) and their service is consistently great. Keep it up!
The staff is always prompt and friendly here. The wide variety of unique and tasty menu options keeps us coming back.
Food is always delicious. Servers very friendly.
Mackenzie and Danae are so sweet!!! The food and service was amazing Food
Very delicious food. And very welcoming service. I ordered the Mac n cheese and the cheese was so rich and flavourful. I do wish they maybe added panko on top for some crispy ness. My friend ordered the fraservally chicken sandwhich and it was soooo juicy and the pesto was really delicious. The latte was also very strong which I love. The service was great, and we were seated right away. Will definitely stop by again
Another local gem brunch especially for locals!
Food was great, delicious mimosas and the staff is always so nice. I love coming here for sunday breakfast/lunch. Highly recommended!
Amazing everything here
Came in later in the day and the host was kind enough to make an order of scrambled eggs, toast, hamburger patty and fries. The coffee was lukewarm and not tasty.. The eggs were ok and so were the toast.. The hamburger patty was cooked well.. The fries were excellent.. This place has a lot of good reviews and so will try to come back again and sample more items in case i am missing out on anything special
I love big feast! This is by far my favourite restaurant. It s mine and all my gfs go to place always. Service is always great and same with food. I love their flexible options and the atmosphere in there have improved a lot recently with their new tables. Great job !
A very nice little restaurant that we went to for brunch, in Maple Ridge. The menu was large with lots of great breakfast, lunch and dinner options, the atmosphere was relaxed and the serving sizes were average. All the locally sourced ingredients were a nice touch and I wouldnt hesitate to go back!
Love their food its wonderful
Food was fantastic and their coffee was perfect. I will be back!
Cute little place. Food was okay. Little bland . I got there right at opening and the food was kinda cold when it got to me. And bacon was hard and crunchy. Im quiet so I kept to myself and I dont like feeling like a inconvenience or them try to take stuff off my bill Im not cheap Im just honest.. Coffee was great tea was Devine.
Went with some friends for brunch and it was great. We really liked our food and the people who work there are fabulous. One of our favourite places.
We love this place. Food is healthy and delicious.
Havent eaten in but often swing by to grab the prepared meals to go. They are also sold at a butcher shop we go to often as well. Good sided portions and easy to heat up.
Whistlers Mountain Pilsner (6.5) / lamb hash (23) / wild grilled salmon (27) / feast on this (18) / two big tacos, please (15)
The service was fantastic, everyone so friendly. The roti breakfast sandwich was delicious. Will definitely go again.
Best food in town!
I love this place! they have great friendly service, a cool atmosphere, a LARGE menu (theres something on it for everyone). A friend and I went for brunch last Saturday at 11:00am without a reservation, and we were greeted and seated within the hour. The price is slightly higher than average for some menu items but everything is dang expensive these days plus you are getting a wonderful meal with locally sourced products.....so treat yourself. You can also get pre made orders to take home with you in case you get separation anxiety from the place or just want a quick meal. All in all it was a wonderful time. Vegetarian options: They have Vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: They got your back.
Hidden gem! Super tasty food and just a pleasant experience in general. Courteous waiter and fast service. Recommend
I enjoy this place but as I am usually alone I always get the two seater table outside the washroom. You need to install a door closer so the smell isnt always coming from an open door.
You cant go wrong with Big Feast. Always friendly staff and the food is fresh and tasty.
Food is always good and fresh, everything is sourced locally and its definitely a plus! its one of our favorite spot for brunch.
Solid food selection here, great atmosphere!
Best burger I ve had in a long time! Friendly staff, our server was fantastic. Definitely will be coming back!
I love pulled pork and that is my all time favorite. This restaurant has many good reviews, so I went to try. Of course, I ordered a pulled pork dish and it was served with roasted yam, a slice of toast and fruit salad. First of all, the pulled pork didnt taste as it was supposed to be and was quite bland. The yam was quite cold when I had my first bite. The fruit salad tasted bad as it tasted sour, bitter and mush. And the toast was just one slice while most breakfast places serve two. I went there at 11am and the waitress wasnt that friendly, it was rather a mechanic just doing her job. The restaurant wasnt that busy, so I wasnt sure why the service wasnt that attentive. Overall it was mediocre. Do I want to go again? Not so soon. Two things I liked was that they have organic teas to choose from and the eggs were poached soft as requested.
Great food and great service... popular place so come early
I recommend breakfast. This is my 3rd time coming here from the U.S. I had the Strawberry Nutella French toast with some drip coffee on the side. The presentation was nice, and the food was tasty. Although, I would have preffered the strawberries be freshly sliced. My server was very polite and quick with service. The environment is very cozy and welcoming, which is a great start to my day. I will continue to return as I travel to B.C. Dietary restrictions: They have vegan options and milk alternatives
Ive heard such great things about Big Feast Bistro, so I finally decided to check it out, I got take out- and there was hair in my pulled pork Mac n cheese. super disappointed!
Wonderfully flavorful breakfast options, but if your groove is Eggs Benedict, this is the place, reserve ahead, or you will be waiting, it is that good! Ask for hollandaise on the side and their house sauce for the perfectly prepared potatoes.
Been here a few times now, Ive heard its the only good spot in Maple Ridge with scratch made food. Burgers are fantastic. Breakfast is on point. Cookies are top notch. My new go to spot whenever I am in the area.
Such great food and attentive staff.
My Benny was absolutely delicious, but my partners dish was cold is some spots and the hashbrowns were mushy in her dish. Other than this I loved it
Food is top notch, servings could be bigger but that s happening everywhere, at least here it s delicious and the staff are superb. Had brunch , gluten free options and plenty of other choices, deserts are delicious as well. Cute place, don t just drive by.
Food was Meh Really wanted to enjoy this place because I d walked by it many times before and heard how good it is, however the food was meh . I had the Fraservalley chicken sandwich and the lettuce wraps. For over $20 each for a meal it was disappointing. The bun was soggy and the lettuce wrap barely had any chicken. Maybe the other food is good but those items were not.
Lovely Diner and Lovely Staff! Come to Big Feast if you are in the mood for top quality diner food that is both well priced and served as quickly as you can blink compared to other establishments (Lucky Taco). Happy hour drinks are actually Happy hour priced, mimosas for $4 and mojitos for $6. So if you re in the Maple Ridge area please feel free to pop in and get your grub on.
I have been looking for a place with a good breakfast and a good atmosphere for a long time and I found you to be the best. Keep it up, you are welcome for any recommendation! I really enjoyed the meal.
Ive been here a couple of times & the food is always delicious. This time, it was Sunday brunch and it was packed inside, so we sat on the patio. It was less noisy anyway. I had the corned beef benny which was very good. My eggs were done well, if a teensy bit more cooked then soft, but all in all, good enough that I would order it again. The other two people with me also said their meals were great. One had the curry bowl (tofu) with added chicken (she lifts, lol) and the other had the morning glory plate. We will probably be back, next time we are in Maple Ridge.
Really tasty food! Friendly staff, not too expensive either.
A great place to eat. Always busy so can sometimes be hard to get a seat.
Got the big mess burger, burger and Mac n cheese were really good , service was slow it was really dead it waited 20 mins to be seated
Yummy
Ive been here more than a few times each time the food taste amazing and great . What a great local spot !!!
Enjoyable experience overall! Food was decent (the fries were super unique and in a generous portion) and overall we had a wonderful time! Recommended as a local eatery for anyone in the Maple Ridge area!
The servers are so friendly. The food is good, the price is good, and if you go to Maple Ridge, its a good place to eat~ Parking is in the back.
Great place, the food is amazing. Great atmosphere and awesome selections. A little expensive but definitely worth it. Vegetarian options: There are many delicious vegetarian options. The Spicy Vegan is really good. Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions they can easily make good accommodations for you.
Food was delicious
I got Umami burger with Asian Coleslaw salad on side, and my partner got fries on his side. There are a lot of options for the side dishes. Their meal for everyday line is very true for this reason. The burger was very delicious, andi loved takuan pickels in my salad. The fris were not oily and very tasty with spices. We would definitely come back to this place again to try other menues.
The Fraser Valley Chicken Sandwich is one of those perfect combinations of flavour. Seriously - you ll want to have another. But you ll be too full to have another so will have to wait till next time. Pairs perfect with Cajun fries or the Kale Caesar. The whole family loved our late lunch. Thanks for doing what you do.
This was absolutely delicious. I got chorizo hash and my friend got pulled pork hash - both tasted amazing. The sweet potato in her hash worked really well with the eggs and the pulled pork. Mine came with avocado and corn.
Great coffee and wonderful service.
Food and service is amazing
Great place for Brunch and Food in Maple Ridge! Atmosphere is super inviting, we sat at their outdoor patio area. Staff was super friendly and menu prices are reasonable. What I ordered: Lamb Hash (Recommend) $20 Absolutely tasty dish, hits all the flavours I enjoy. Savoury lamb sausage with a creamy hollandaise, fresh kale and radishes served under perfectly cooked sweet potatoes and topped with poached eggs. Decadent I must say and just to push your pants they serve a choice of bread with it. Overall Highly recommend this dish, I d come back to try other menu dishes!
The food is good, just missing something. Cant put my finger on it. But the atmosphere is great and definitely a place to visit.
Dietary restrictions: Very restriction-friendly Food
Extremely slow service. We wont be back.
Had the pulled pork hash. Omfg it was the best thing I ve ever had in a bowl. Serious shout out to the chef, and the wonderful lady who served us. I m going back this weekend !!
One of my favourite places to eat and spend time. The music is an incredibly beautiful blend, the atmosphere, the workers, the food, the lighting, and even the music level is all perfect. Everything makes sense. The food is very filling with fair portions, with lots of variety and vegan/vegetarian options which I love! Always feel so relaxed and happy here:) The desserts are also impeccable, they have a huge variety of drinks including alcoholic ones, coffee of all kind, and lots more! Also some take away yummies they make in house like soups! Thank you big feast<3
I usually like the place and the food is amazing but when you are treated with disrespect, this is when you loose my loyalty! Bad management! They had more than 6 clean tables and the manager, who was really not nice to the server, said that we have to wait 15 to 20 min! Why? When the restaurant was capable of having us. If they do not want our money, we can eat elsewhere! Sorry will not go back!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Big Feast Bistro in Maple Ridge, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience that left me utterly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting ambiance that set the stage for what turned out to be an exceptional meal. The menu at Big Feast Bistro is a delightful journey through a diverse range of flavors and culinary influences. The attention to detail is evident in every dish, from the thoughtful ingredient combinations to the meticulous presentation. What truly stands out is their commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, which undoubtedly contributes to the exceptional taste and quality of each plate. For starters, I indulged in their artisanal cheese platter, which featured an exquisite selection of cheeses, accompanied by house-made preserves and perfectly toasted bread. The burst of flavors and textures was a promising start to the evening. As for the main course, the menu offered a variety that catered to every palate. I opted for the braised short ribs, and I was simply blown away. The meat was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth, and the accompanying truffle mashed potatoes were a heavenly indulgence. Whats more, the beverage selection at Big Feast Bistro is equally impressive. Their sommelier-curated wine list perfectly complements the dishes, and the staff is more than happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences. The dessert course was a fitting finale to the meal. I couldnt resist trying their signature maple crème brûlée, and it did not disappoint. The subtle infusion of local maple flavors added a unique twist to this classic dessert, and the caramelized sugar on top was flawlessly executed. Service at Big Feast Bistro is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about their offerings. They are more than willing to share insights about the dishes, making the dining experience not only delicious but also educational. In conclusion, Big Feast Bistro in Maple Ridge is a culinary gem that showcases the best of local ingredients and culinary expertise. Whether youre celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, this bistro is an absolute must-visit. Prepare to be treated to a symphony of flavors, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I cant wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing menu.
Amazing, delicious food, great patio. Plan to go many more times. Dietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy free options Food : 5/5 |
Parking: the parking is behind the restaurant Food
This is become our new go-to for breakfast. The seating outside is a bit tight but its a great place to eat breakfast Service is always great and the food is always delicious. Especially Love the bacon and eggs and the cranberry bread.
Great tasting food, friendly staff
Highly recommend their Buddha bowl. Exceptional. Had a special celebration dinner and this dish made the evening even more special.
Food was great, the service was not so good. The server didnt know the menue, did not come to the table to check on us
This was my first time at Big Feast Bistro. The food was absolutely amazing. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all wonderful and super friendly. Proportion of our meals were very generous.
Terrible service, rude staff
Don t forget to make a reservation on weekends, it s usually busy but the food is amazing, definitely worth the wait.
Love big feast! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options that all taste great. The fiery vegan is my favourite sandwich and the yam hash is delicious! My boyfriend loves the pulled pork hash as well.
Awesome spot for a delicious breakfast.
Great breakfast spot with a huge menu. The name of the restaurant can be a bit misleading if its you are first timer like us. The portions are standard and not overly large in any way. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
Went fir breakfast and ordered eggs sunny side up came to the table hard as a rock. No cutlery on the table terrible service cold coffee, crowded and very rushed. They wouldnt lower one blind to block the sun shining in my eyes will not be back !!!
The roasted yam mango chutney soup is divine! Great food I will be returning Vegetarian options: Many vegan options Food : 5/5 |
Perfect neighbourhood brunch spot but with far better food. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
We recently visited with our of town family and what a great little spot for brunch. The service was amazing and the food - was great! We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Everything sounded mouthwatering! Food
Very tasty food with local ingredients!
Excellent service great food and a wonderful atmosphere
Horrible service!!! They said the wait time was 20 minutes, but it ended up being 35 minutes. It was mainly because the servers were extremely slow, and mostly hanging out in the kitchen. The washroom makes the entire inside of the restaurant stink. We accidently spilled a drink, but the servers were too oblivious to notice.
Best brunch in Maple Ridge, however, on the pricey side.
This place is Next level. Just when you thought you won t be surprised by simple ingredients like potatoes, this place will blow your socks off.
Great food but the Cesar was all ice.
The atmosphere and service are amazing. However, the vegan options here will give the wonderful partons the wrong impression of vegan food. The way many elements are prepared remind me of how I used to make food being new to plant based cooking, and unfortunately, not in a good way. Big Feast specializes in brunch, so thats what Ill focus on. The potatoes are great and the drinks are very good. Unfortunately the plant based dishes here go to great lengths not to offend anybody. For example: there are so many ways to prepare tofu to make it egg-like, but none of these techniques are utilized. Instead, it is marinated with air, infused with less flavor than traditional plain tofu, and not given any egg-like texture. Way too little to no salt is used, monosodium glutamate is at another castle, and vegan staples like nutritional yeast are severely underutilized. Another example: there are so many ways to make vegan yolk that has the correct texture and, more importantly, packed with flavor. Big Feast has a unique way of making yolk, but it is shockingly flavorless - even lacking in something as basic as nutritional yeast. The easiest beginner way to add egg-like sulphuric aroma and taste is to add Kala Namak, which is also completely missing. Ive tried several vegan items on their menu and there seems to be a general trend of healthy but surprisingly bland food. You can even use silken tofu, sodium alginate, and Kala namak as a base for a simple intermediate level spot-on fried egg over olive oil. If you really want to amaze people, you could even make vegan hard-boiled eggs. A pea-protein-based sausage could also pull the whole brunch dish together while staying gluten-free. I want to one day see a great vegan restaurant in Maple Ridge that blows people off their feet with their plant-based dishes. Paliottis Westside is closer to achieving this, but sadly, there is no true vegan restaurant in Maple Ridge, so keep that in mind. Vegetarian options: Multiple plant-based gluten-free items.
Really enjoyed the variety of choices. Good to see a menu that wasnt the usual suspects. Tasty and a good atmosphere.
Ive been there twice so far, but plan to try more on the menu, cool menu, amazing food, a hidden gem that a friend told me about, very large menu.
Good but expensive
Consistently good food and always please t staff.
This place is great. The food is awesome. The burgers are some of the best youll find. And their soup is amazeballs. I only give it 4 stars because I do find the prices a tad on the steep side, and the location is very busy so outside seating is quite noisy with all the traffic. If youve never been, go check it out. Worth it.
Bland, bland, bland. Hashbrowns are just hunks of potatoes, no seasoning, eggs bland, bacon was ice cold. The pasta and fried chicken wasnt anything special. I regret choosing this place for breakfast and spending $52 on two plates.
I got the soup, chicken, rice and salads all the food tasted good. It is like homestyle but I still recommend it.
Great spot for local ingredients and amazing food.
A favorite place of mine! I have celiac disease and I feel completely comfortable eating here. It was the 1st place I started eating at about 10yrs ago after not eating out for years because there really wasnt much around for someone with a severe allergy. Ive never been contaminated here either whereas I have at other places I have eaten at. The food here is scrumptious and I must say I always go home with 1/2 dozen of their gluten free peanut butter cookies which are absolutely delicious. I always look forward to my lunches with the gals here!
Vegetarian options: Fantastic veggie options Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly!! Food : 5/5 |
Food was good, potatoes rather greasy. Service excellent.
Havent been here for over five years or so. Mostly used to come for lunch with friends, pause, then the C word, aaand Im back. Trudged through a snowfall after perusing the menus of the suggested ten best restaurants in Ridge online, decided on Sherrys Meatloaf, which sounded delicious.I love Hopcott (and Iron Butcher) meats. Long story short, the service was excellent from beginning to end. The meal was interesting. Not being a huge foodie (well, maybe somewhat huge but not so technically foodie), I had to check in with my server regarding the seasonal vegetables. The beets were a bright pop on the plate and a personal fav, sweet and flavourful. They were accompanied by some very crunchy broccolini stems (whether the crunchiness was intentional is debatable, although the server readily submitted that they use the stems, making me think mine wasnt the first query. I couldnt help wondering though on this particular night, with a large table [assuming seasonal company gathering] in the last opening hour if they werent scooped off the cutting board after the tops had been served already, but whatever.) As foreshadowed, interesting. I also had to inquire about what was identified as celery heart, a mild, pale veg that segues nicely into a review I did about the Kingfisher somewhat recently. So, my three favourite things at the Fish used to be the Hopcott beef meatloaf, the chicken tenders (sadly now modified) and the chicken wings (now flown from the menu - whaaaat? Why?) However, I made mistake of ordering the scallops once (which is where the oh so bland celeriac comes in, scallop dish also rightfully obliterated.) Regardless, Im sorry to say that the meatloaf has been removed from the Kingfishers menu but I found it superior to the same suppliers version tonight. The beef appeared pale, but maybe that was the reflection of the snowfall outside the window?? I also found the au jus/gravy (seemed to me a limp blend) somewhat sour. I drank the red house wine but perhaps not the best pairing or...what the hey, we all have different palates. Being German and Irish, I give two thumbs up for the potatoes which were served piping hot.
