Fun place to dine with the 50s theme old time diner atmosphere. Food is consistantly good. Reasonable prices so we dine here regularly. J is probably the best waitress ever. At breakfast she can handle the entire place singlehandedly and do a great job! Amazing. Recommend Parking: Small patio available in summer. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, old time milk shakes are popular with the kids!

Great food and service.

Too expensive! We ordered Corned beef, hash and eggs. Corned beef was deli beef. Potatoes were pan fried made and didn t cooked well. The dishes were lacking spices.

Bobby Sox is an awesome diner! We were there for their 32nd(I think) anniversary and they had an Elvis impersonator singing live and Marilyn Monroe running the DJ booth. It was tons of fun! The prices are fair, the service is excellent, the milkshakes are creamy and delicious but the seating is minimal! I know its a very old building but it definitely needs an update, as most times I am in there they cant accommodate a lot of the people trying to get in. Very crammed space. The vibes are always great tho! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a 50s style diner.

Food is like any other diner. Burgers sandwiches all taste like any other. Nothing outstanding. The diner it self was decked out nicely. Gives a very nostalgic feel. Lots of regulars coming in for their usuals.

Cool 50s style diner with 50s style food, cherry coke milkshakes and floats, handmade hamburgers, big portions. Price is to be expected with the portion size, but its still reasonable. Good portion sizes, ingredients taste like high quality, thrown together with simple homebred style recipes to give you real proper food. Have eaten here multiple times, never lived in Maple ridge Parking: Small lot, but generally large enough to accommodate another vehicle. I have been lucky and able to park a truck with a trailer in the lot once or twice, but theres only 1-2 spots for long vehicles. Wheelchair accessibility: Single story business, side door is direct access to parking lot, there are some bumps but no curbs, significant lips or ledges to contend with. Inside is diner seating with booths and tables and chairs, which can be moved to accommodate. I believe front door is clear access to sidewalk, if not, sidewalk can easily access parking lot and side entrance.

Cute little diner staff was good .. Servers where friendly especially the younger girl (dont remember her name) She was very chatty when refilling our coffee polite and pleasant.. Ill definitely be going back.. I dont give out many 5* but they deserve it ..

Unfortunately, this is the third restaurant weve had an issue with this week in Maple Ridge. We arent picky so, this is embarrassing for our town at this point. We had people coming from over half an hour away to meet for a first time meal... Sadly, the server was clearly over worked as although she was kind, it took more than 20 min to manage to when consider flagging her down to get drinks for the other half of our party... we decided to pay for our 2 beers and order my friends son a chocolate milkshake for take out as he was really looking forward to it. The table next to ours had fried SO burnt we could smell them and wed over heard the staff sat they were unwilling to replace them. Theyd not been touched bar one or 2 to taste. We spoke with them and they said theyd been loyal, regular customers for 25 years but, were profoundly unhappy and would be speaking to the day staff/manager as they believed it may be a new evening cook... we paid quickly and left ... ai say quickly as it was over 40 minutes to leave and head elsewhere. Super disappointed as we truly wanted to support a unique local business but, there is very little dairy free or vegetarian options which was problematic but, unstandable based on the niche. I will say... as I dont eat meat, I was looking forward to one of their raved about home made pies... which were sold out... Suprr embarassed to bring friends and their kiddo out our way to end up unable to eat and waste a lot if time while pushing our infants bed time to the point of nuclear catastrophe.

Everything was awesome but it was quite noisy.

My husband and I go here quite regularly and most of the time, the server forgets to bring our side out. One server even said, oh they didnt bring that out for you? Thats not the cooks job to bring it out. Today we went in and a young lady gave us our menu and tossed it on the table and walked away. The server there did not check on us once. This is not the first time that server has done that. There was a woman who worked here I believe the owner who was absolutely fantastic but we have not seen her in a while.

ive been there a few times got fries ,steak , milkshakes. not the best value in price or quality. i may have to give it another chance, but i probably wont. steak was over cooked and a bad cut. milkshake glass was dirty, i got vanilla and there was dried chocolate on it. the staff was super friendly and polite. Though the owners are cashing in on the aesthetic more than the quality of food, which is ironic seeing as a lot of the paint is faded. maybe a supplier switch is needed, on top of cleaning the milkshake glasses. and this place would be an easy recommendation to give. I didnt get sick so i guess it was fine.

Would give 0 stars if I could. We went for breakfast this morning and had a horrible experience, food was bad service was horrible had to ask numerous time just for water and some coffee. We asked for our bill and left the money on the table and left one of the waitresses yelled at us from the door asking if we are coming back and if we paid infront of the whole resturant like we dined and dashed we asked her if she even looked on the table where the money was and she said no. I have never had an experience like this and will never go back!!!

Great food ,friendly,attentive waitress and staff. I no everything has gone up in price these days but I got pulled pork sandwich which is delicious along with their home made yam fries and a coke and before tip it was $34.

Check out Bobby s. I did for a an old fashioned milkshake - the way they once were. You will not be disappointed. Treat your buds and mind to a tasty and visual treat.

My family s favorite spot forever.

This is a fiftys restaurant. But I wonder what was at that spot in 1955 or 1956. I know there was a movie theatre close to there, and a Greyhound Bus depot across the street, when Hounddog and Dont Be Cruel were current on the radio. I have copyrighted air photos of the area from the museum. I would like to see those on the walls.

I feel like they lack but thats the only negative thing I would dare say I had. The smoked Chipotle burger or what ever it was was freaking amazing!!!!! The waitress loved my kid they were playing a bit. Food came out fast and hot. Wife and I said we will definitely be back. Excellent old school diner in Haney/Maple Ridge on the main street in the dt core. Food is tasty with big portions & the staff is very friendly. There is parking on the street if you cant find it in the small lot for the diner. This local business is worth visiting Food

I have been to this place 2 times now with my client. This place has a very old 90s diner vibes which is kinda cool and they have got multiple breakfast options - I ordered a Rick s over Bobby sox which came with hash browns and a very delicious buttery sandwich. I have also tried their burgers which are average bcuz I think the bacon in my burger too overcooked and fries were not that great either. Their milkshakes are awesome! Also must try their French toast with whipped cream if you have sweet tooth I think this is a good place to have breakfast and milkshakes. Average amount spent for 2 people : 40-60$

Had the standard burger. It was fantastic. You can tell its handmade, fresh. Fries and milkshake were perfect. Excellent, fast service. I would highly recommend this place for a good casual meal.

Wow this place has gone down hill. Today was the worst of the worst. Go for dinner & they are NOT practicing social distancing properly. Ya, they have the 1 table apart, but theyre not following that. Had a group of 5 ppl standing at the door less than 1 foot away from other guests table, then sat party at table directly behind us...one customers head was inches from back of my husbands head. When expressing concern, the waitresss response was Well youre putting yourself at risk, just by coming here already The waitresses & cooks were not wearing masks or sanitizing debit machine between customers. but... what was the most gross was all the tiny black ants crawling all over the walls, table & booth...we did not notice them until we seen one crawling across our table towards our plate! No this sort of thing does happen, but certainly controllable & gross. I think were good for a while eatin here! Im unable to add my video here but I will post at Trip Advisor Parking: Major lack of parking availability Kid-friendliness: Apparently the staff feel its appropriate for their own children to run around restaurant pulling things out of cupboards and touching everything.

Bobby Sox is an excellent 50s nostalgia diner, more so than Rockos Diner in my opinion. Inside and out, the restaurant looks appropriately old-fashioned with its antiquated props, playlist of oldies music and selection of food. I had the Roast Beef Dinner with their Shirley Temple. The beverage was vibrant with flavours and enjoyed every sip of it. The roast beef, on its own, was great and so was the mashed potatoes. The gravy that was topped on the beef and potatoes was magnificent. Coming here from Mission was worth the extra mile and I cannot wait to come here again. Vegetarian options: They have veggie burgers, salads and french toast

I mean, its a diner it has diner food, you get what you pay for. Its comfort food which means not the best for you but comfort food isnt supposed to be healthy

1st time here. The service was very good. I had to try the milkshake. It was great. Had the a nice sandwich which was goodwd well. And the soup was very delicious. Had a great experience.

Loved this place. Great staff, excellent food, and the vibes and decoration was super neat! I loved it so much, I went back the following Sunday morning for a repeat. Was not disappointed from my high expectations the second time around.

The atmosphere is typical of a diner. If your going to a diner you shouldnt expect fancy. But overall the place is nostalgic and warm. The food is good. I had the hero burger minus the hotdog. The burgers are made in house and are tender and delicious. The popcorn shrimp appie is very good. My wife had a craving for mac n cheese and this place hit the spot for her, although they could have melted or broiled the grated cheese on top. Over all my family enjoyed our diner experience in maple ridge.

Tater tot breakfast bowl is to die for. Tots, fried eggs and onions with a side of toast. Amazing deal and super quick to the table. Ive been for both breakfast and lunch services, both times on the weekend. Service has always been great, the blonde waitress is our favourite, she is always friendly and has a smile on her face. You can tell she enjoys her job. She knows her regulars and has good banter. Food is exactly what is expected. Simple food like you had growing up before the big chains came in. Lots of menu items to choose from to ensure all are happy. The atmosphere is fun to look at while you are waiting for your food. Lots of different things everywhere. The music playing is perfect and if youre lucky, you will hear the waitresses sing along. *Menu was in June 2023*

My friend and I have had a few lunches there. It is a lovely decor as in the 50s. The staff very friendly and the food is good. I had a stroganoff and my friend fish and chips. We like to go to that location as it is midpoint between our cities. There is private parking in the back. Parking: It is on a corner. You could park along one street if there was no room in the back parking space

I have passed by this restaurant numerous times and finally decided to try the food. A friend and I went there for a late lunch. The atmosphere, decor, furniture and music were all from the 50s. The service was prompt. We both ordered the Whiskey steak with fries and Caesar salad. The salad was crispy with just the right amount of dressing and croutons. The fries were a little crispy and a lot of them, just the way I like them. I ordered my steak medium with a little red in the middle. It was perfect. My friend ordered his medium rear . He complained his jaw had a good workout as the meat was tough. The whiskey bbq sauce on the steak was tangy , tasty and lots of it and made the garlic toast soggy. Better to order the garlic toast on the side. The highlight of the meal was the caramelized crispy onions.. overall a 3.5 star for the food. The cutlery needs updating and so do the seating booths. Portion size and price deserve a 5 rating. Vegetarian options: Only one vegetarian item on the menu. Parking: A few spots on the street and some behind the building.

My first impression was expensive, but in the following days in other places I learned that its really not - guess thats the new normal. Food tastes great, service friendly, and the interior makes you feel like youre back in the sixties.

An authentic 50 s diner, loved the decor and atmosphere. They serve an all day breakfast and I could me coming back for an old fashioned milkshake! The pancakes were huge! I ordered the Tator Tot Bowl (sauce on side) it was very yummy! Also very big serving that I couldn t finish. Very busy, with a full restaurant at Sunday 9am, there is also seating outside.

Its small but a nice restaurant thats like a trip back to the 50s. Good food, a wide variety of milkshakes, and 50s music playing. Great for enjoyment.

Good sized portions, pricing was average. My husband and son got the 2 for 1 burgers; two burgers with fries for $18.99 - can t beat that! Our server was excellent and the wait was not long. You should go!

I was always a huge fan of this place back in the day but it seems that it might have fallen off. I could always rely on Bobby Sox for a decent breakfast plate or burger with a cozy diner atmosphere but I fear the best days are behind them. I went in with my friend who s never been there before for a quick bite and the waitress was really short with us and seemed to be frustrated with any questions we had. I ordered a Philly steak sandwich and my friend got a basic cheeseburger. The Philly steak sandwich s true identity was actually a very small and unenthusiastic beef dip on Ciabatta. The peppers tasted like they were being prepped and seasoned for a Chinese food dish, it was really strange. The fries had a off taste as well, as if they were cooked in really old oil. My buddy s burger was also underwhelming. It seems like they didn t make a full round patty so they kinda just like cooked two small thick pieces of ground beef on the grill that weren t put together and placed them beside each other on the bun? It was incredibly dry. When all was said and done, and mostly eaten we got our bills and I was in shock. $60 for our two plates, and I drank water! I thought to myself, this must be a mistake? But didn t want to go through the hassle of looking into it too deep. If this is the kind of experience you can expect from Bobby Sox nowadays I don t see them lasting much longer.

Had the special beef and barley soup. With the special Monte Christo. Both presented really nice. It was delicious! Totally coming back!

Atmospheres everything I expected. No diners where I grew up so this was an awesome experience for my brother and I after seeing diners in movie scenes and things like that. We got the breakfast clubhouse and the all day breakfast, with pancakes, a mocha shake and a coffee. Drinks were great, meals tasted great. The portions were plenty big too - both of us had a lot of carbs left on our plate and very (very) full by the end. Ill say one more thing even though its a bit awkward: when we got there we were 1. the only people below sixty years old and 2. the only people of colour, and at no point did we feel unwelcome or strange, which made a really nice impression. With that said, we paid about $65 for the two of us after taxes and tips and such - Im not sure how I feel about a $65 breakfast for two people.

Wow it was like going into the past with the decor loved it..food was amazing...my favorite dish of all time is a deep dip, and this was a solid 9 out 10 ...perfect choice of bum and beef with bits of fat( sorry you a little with beef dip) and the fries ,yup real potatoes...yummy. Service was also good very friendly and upbeat..and as my granddaughter says beautiful....my daughter and granddaughter had food and enjoyed as well..but I really cant remember what they had ,because I was lost in food enjoyment lol...anyways I highly recommend enjoyed every bit 100%

Friday night out for dinner at Bobby Sox and we loved it! It was our first time so we started with the 50s burger and it was delicious! The milkshake was also The staff and service were great too. We will definitely be back!

Food was ok but will never go there again. The staff let an obvious drug addict into their washroom. Something I dont want to see when Im paying good money to have a meal.

I havent been to this restaurant in years, but I thought I would give it a try again. I got there around 10:30 on a Saturday morning, I was seated promptly and offered a beverage. It seemed that there are a core group of regulars who the staff knows and they have a good banter with. I ordered the corned beef hash, the corned beef eas not cut all the way through, several of the pieces were long and you could see where the cuts werent complete. The potatoes and onions were slightly undercooked, enough to be noticeable, but not crunchy, the eggs were cooked properly. The server never did ask how my food was or ask if I needed anything else. Overall it was just OK and I doubt I will be going back anytime soon based on this experience.

This place is worth 5 star. You don t need to call server for coffee refill all the time. Server is constantly disinfecting surface. And we love the music they play so as the decorations.

The waitress absolutely rocked it!!! Every table was full, coffee never went below half a cup, orders were taken out right away and all by herself. Only complaint was that the hash browns could have been cooked longer.

I love this little restaurant it really has the 60s feel. The food is great as is the service. The music is a real treat as well.
