Spectacular home cooked Greek food! Georgina is one of the most lovely people around! The bougatsa is my fav and avgelomono soup!!

Parking: I always order the roast lamb or another lamb dish since I enjoy lamb and dont cook it at home. Their lamb is always so tender and deliciously seasoned. Good portion for the price that I leave with a doggy bag. Recommended dishes

The food is good but they are very stingy with the portions. They only give a tablespoon of sour cream or mint sauce and will charge you for extra. Sometimes the owner is nasty and complains about how expensive the food costs. Customers don t want to hear that. I d give them an average of 2.5 stars for the bad service

Extraordinarily poor communication regarding how long our order was going to take. We were told pickup at 6:30 and didn t receive it until 7:30. After all that, they missed one of our orders, so we had to drive back to wait another 45 mins We weren t provided an itemized receipt after being charged $50+ what the website stated. The hostess was kind and receptive, but that s was the only okay part of our experience.

We had reservations today for 6PM. We arrived at 5:55 and were seated at 6:10 they didnt take our order until 6:30.We got our meal at 7:50.??? The meal was good , as usual but a wait of nearly 2 hours is totally unacceptable.

This used to be my favorite Greek place in town. Probably used to be some of the best Greek food in the area. Went for dinner after many years...and was disappointed. Service was slow. Food was....meh. I had the roast lamb which was dry...flavorful but a little dry. Everything else was just average.

After living in Maple Ridge for two years, I can easily say that Pyrgos is my favorite restaurant in town. Im always so excited to go to Pyrgos for dinner, the food is so delicious, the prices are reasonable, and I love that the restaurant is family owned and operated. Our favorite meal is the combo platter, its under $60 and it could easily feed 3 people. It has a good variety of authentic Greek food and we have tried items on the platter we would have never ordered otherwise. Pyrgos has a quaint and cozy atmosphere and I recommend the place to all of our friends!

Came here for a big birthday party and they were awesome. Some of the best greek food I ve had to date and very reasonable prices for what you get. Highly recommend the Saganaki and the Ribs. Also lowkey great lighting for photos in the front waiting area

Food was great and so was service...our experience would have been even better if there were more staff on for a Sarurday night long weekend.

First time at Pyrgos with friends and had Option2 Dinner platter for two. Food overload, liked everything on it (Lamb, prawns, calamari, rice potatoes, Greek salad and pita) service a bit slow but we were not in a hurry, enjoyed the atmosphere and company..

Ordered take out and was told it would take 1 hour. No problem. Dont mind waiting for fresh hot food. Picked up and took home and seemed like the food was sitting for at least 30min. Pita was cold. Chicken skewer was cold/hard and over cooked Didnt seem like hot fresh cooked food. The high price did not reflect the quality of food I received.

Had the roasted lamb dish and it was tender and delicious as was the entire plate. My wife had the souvlaki chicken dish and it was also delicious. The chicken was tender and flavoured perfect. For our appie we had the spanikopita and it fresh made and perfectly crispy pastry on the outside. Overall the service was friendly and quick. Will definitely go again.

They deserve the award for best restaurant. I love Greek food and I know what good Greek food is. This is it.

Everything was good except the kalamari wasnt great. It was only ok. we ate it anyways..i like tentacles.. theres had none, good tzatziki though!! Really Good spanakopita!

When we arrived there were only approximately 3-4 tables, and half of those already had their meals. When we ordered they were very pushy for appetizers which we declined. By the time our full meals came we waited approximately 45mins for them, and the server (think it s the owner?) slammed our plates down in front of us. A server only came to us about 4x in almost the two hours we were there. You could truly tell they gave all their attention to their regulars and neglected any new faces that came in. While the food was good, for how long it took to receive our meals plus the lack of service made the whole experience terrible. Even to just get our bill and a takeout box took a good 10 mins. We will not be back, and was extremely disappointed as we spent nearly $80 on two meals but the service ruined the whole experience. Fair warning to anyone who thinks about trying this restaurant out.

The best Greek food in town! In true Mediterranean style, the service is not a fast pace, which I enjoy as nobody is trying to rush you out. Expect to be there for the evening, enjoy your appies and wine, and leave happy and full.

The food was pretty good, although roast lamb should come with tzatziki and pita, and a lemon wedge. The servers seemed to keep forgetting we were there, even though we were right in the middle of the restaurant. And quite frankly, everything was way overpriced. Ive had better Greek food from a food court.

Best Greek place in town!

Ordered from the first time from this restaurant . Thought that we would give it a try , very unfortunate decision. The food was cold and very unappealing. They certainly do not use any Mediterranean spices or Greek cooking. Terrible food! It is almost like somebody took the food through New Delhi before bringing it to us. Everything was dry and cold, some Indian cuisine flavors for sure, no lemon with the very fishy calamari and the tzatziki was SPICY!! The keftedes had some unrecognizable spices maybe Cummins.... in all fairness, the lamb chops were tasty although just as dry as everything else... Almost had to phone from the front desk to get someone to come out of the kitchen and then their machines did not work and had to go to a bank machine to get cash.... BRUTAL!!

So, so, awful. We had a reservation, but were ignored when we came in. Once at a table we waited 30 min for someone to take our order, another 20 min to get our drinks, we were there over an hour and hadnt received our APPETIZERS. We called them over to just make sure we hadnt been forgotten and she just said they were really busy, but to go orders were flying out the door! Her response when we pointed that out was that those were pre-ordered...well, so was ours! Over an hour ago! We were then brought the WRONG appetizers, and when she went to get the correct ones and brought out 4, sad dalmades, she forgot the calamari. I told her to cancel our mains. She then brought the calamari and said the whole bill was comped. We each ate one piece of calamari and left because it was awful. The ONLY reason why this isnt 1-star is because the whole meal was comped. We ended up going to Socrates for incredible service and food!!

Went here for Valentines Day with my boyfriends family. Did not make a reservation because we forgot too but they had no issues with us not doing so. Friendly staff, and dress food. Definitely covid friendly safe restaurant. The waiter was a sweetheart also. Did not rush us one bit either. We enjoyed our time and will definitely come back for more .

This was my second time there. This place is amazing. The are generous with the portions and the roast lamb just melts in your mouth. I highly recommend this place. Georgina was our server. Thought she was great. Of course I will go back.

Havent been to Pygros in a while and we took a chance, and were happily pleased we returned (January 26) We ordered a fairly large meal for 6 ppl and we picked it up. The order was ready in a short time; the food was really good (tasty and good portions) and the service was excellent. We ordered extra potatoes, and boy the gave us a ton! Looking forward to seeing you again.

So lucky to have tasty Greek food so close to home. Try a nice cold Mythos with your dinner, or two. Just want to say that the restaurant is quite decorated just cant figure out how they keep it so spotless in there. Thanks.

We dropped in at an odd time and had a few appetizers while waiting for an appointment. Food was all very tasty.

I don t like to leave bad reviews and the food has always been decent quality but when I wait 90 minutes for my take home order only to find someone else s doggy bag of chewed up rib pieces with part of a Greek salad in the container then I m thoroughly disgusted. So if you had your doggy bag replaced with my rib order then good for you!

One of the last Greek Taverna in BC owned and managed by Greek Family. Very uniq Mediterranean experience in Maple Ridge. Fantastic food, the best calamari ever, cold wine, worm Metaxa and Ouzo. Highly recommend. We will be going back soon. Opa.

45 mins wait when we were absolutely the only ones in the restaurant, waitress was so slow at taking orders , we waited 20mins before we received our water .. forget the rest

Long time favorite for us! Food is always consistent in quality (And very generous portion size). Family owned with a real feeling of home cooking. Wonderful gem owned and staffed by wonderful people.

The experience wasnt bad but it wasnt great. The pros: they took us in without reservations, there was plenty of parking in the street outside and the music was a nice enough level to set the mood without being too loud. The cons: they ran out of potatoes and didnt tell us, when we asked we were told we got more rice ???. I ordered chicken that was very dry but the lamb chops were perfect.

A real hidden gem! You get what you paid $$ for. I order a combo. Lamb is juicy. Chicken is a bit dry but flavorful. The burger is soft and tasty. Not a fan of the bread. Salad is made right. The rice is nicely seasoned. Thanks for the food.

The food was delicious and ample, the service was quick, and the decor was charming. The calamari might be the best I ve had.

1st time ordering here. Never again. Perhaps the worst Greek restaurant Ive ever eaten at. Pita was stale, salad was not fresh (soggy). Calamari stank like an un cleaned fish store. Overall disgusting.

BEST LAMB ROAST EVER! This family owned Greek restaurant is one of my favourite. Great food, good service, friendly staff, what else do you need. Roast lamb is amazing, melts in your mouth, tzatziki and Greek salad are the must have.

Shrinkflashon at its best. Greek salad container was half full. It had no peppers, no olive or onions so, tomatoes, cucumbers cheese was all it had. Tzatziki sauce tasted sour and amount cut to half the container. The pita was so stale could not eat it. YUK. Pickup service took forever. Just not a good experience all the way around. This place was awesome pre Covid. I will not return. The worse Greek place I have ever been today.

Exceptional service and experience overall. The food was delicious and the servings are very good as well. We were celebrating a birthday and were a big party, but they managed to give us the best service we could hope for. Definitely recommend this place for a quick meal, a dinner date, family event or just to hang out with your friends as well.

Family owned decent food

I always seem to feel cheated when I dine here. Its a cute little restaurant but honestly I feel like theyre really cheap when it comes to serving us. When youre charging $30 plus for a dinner I shouldnt have to ask 3 times for taziki sauce. It never seems to just be standard with our meal. They give us Pita bread and we have to eat it dry? When they finally come around with the sauce its a tiny little one tablespoon portion. They also have a very outdated billing system so they write down the receipt for us and its always incorrect. They seem to like to make up prices along the way. Adding one to $2 wherever they feel fit. I dont know why their menu prices are different than what were being charged. Overall the food is all right. Their lamb chops are delicious. I had the dry ribs they were OK I felt like they could have been day old. My daughter had the steak and she said it was bland and tasted like somebody rinsed it off and stuck it on her plate. She also only got 1 potato compared to the rest of us. Overall I think Im done with this restaurant.

OMG, just moved back to Maple Ridge. Couldnt believe it hasnt changed. The service delightful, the food delicious. Will become a regular. Brought my friend for his birthday, absolutely enjoyed it. BTW the best hummus Ive ever eaten......period, so creamy and the garlic tooooo die for.

I was so happily surprised by this little hidden gem in Maple Ridge. Probably the best Saganaki since Montreal. The lamb was also marinated to perfection. A must try place.

First time ordering from this place and WOW! We ordered the Spanokopita, Tiropita, Prawn and Scallop Souvlaki and Lamb Souvlaki. Super flavourful, great portion size, just enough. Will order again and hopefully dine in, if Covid ever goes away. Highly recommend. If I had to complain about anything, I would recommend they use more enviro friendly take out containers and more tzatziki, please! 5 out of 5...support local, these guys wont dissapoint.

First time ordering from Pyrgos and honestly I think Ive found my permanent go to for Greek Food. Ordered takeout and it was ready in less than 30 minutes. The staff and atmosphere was beyond warm and welcoming. So warm that Im excited to dine in once covid is behind us. The food is by far some of the best Greek food I have ever had. I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki and everything right down to the Greek Potato was a 10/10. Portions were perfect, flavors were plenty and hunger fulfilled 100%. If youre looking to support local business during covid, support Pyrgos. Cant wait for the next time!

I have never had bad food, nor bad service. The food is always fresh, and staff are friendly and accomodating. My MIL loves the chicken and rice soup and chicken souvlaki. Ordered on Wed night for Thurs pickup. Was ready when I arrived. Great value for the food. Highly recommended.

Old school Greek food.

First time order based on reviews and was very disappointed with the food quality. The Kalamari and other appetizers on our platter was not appetizing except for the Spanakopita. The lamb skewer was tasty, chicken was ok. For the price we paid for this order, it was way too much for sub standard food.

After a 12 hour work day, I was looking forward to good food and this was a complete disappointment. Food was bland and burnt. Was not worth the $100 at all.

Ordered takeout for the first time from here and it was fabulous! It was ready in 45 minutes and was hot and delicious. We had the BBQ ribs, chicken souvlaki and the moussaka. I would totally recommend this lovely establishment!

Have been here a few times for dine in and a few times for take out. I feel like the prices just keep going up and the portions keep getting smaller. The food is really good. IMO this is the best Greek food in the area.

Honestly, not impressed. My mums lamb was borderline inedible, it tasted like mutton. It seemed to be seasoned with mustard? I had the calamari dinner, it was a bit greasy but okay. My roasted potatoes had a decent flavour but were very undercooked. My mums potato was about better. The pita bread and tzatziki were good. Our waitress really seemed to really not want to be here. And it was the other waitress that seemed to bring our food out. People who ordered after us (but with a different waitress) got their food first. I dont think Ill be going back.

Never been here before, was in the mood for Greek food and went ahead to order pickup over the phone. The woman that answered and took my order was not what I would call particularly friendly. Seemed almost put out that I was phoning to place an order. Anyways, just not the best experience, especially when you re trying a new restaurant for the first time. Felt underwhelmed.

Not one to complain about things very often, but ordered take tonight for the family, 3 souvlaki orders and 1 roast lamb, have ordered here in the past and the food was always great but tonight not so much. My lamb was dry, the chicken souvlaki was undercooked and no flavour ,the rice, quite honestly would have been better off having uncle Bens rice,and the potatoes were blah and also undercooked. Like I said before have had great food here in the past, but this was a waste of good money.

Very friendly staff with very high quality food. I ordered a combo #1, and it came out with a very generous plate of lamb, rice, chicken, Greek salad, dolmades, and more. A perfectly large portion for 2 people. Flavours were very good, and interior atmosphere is also awesome. I would absolutely recommend a trip here.

Service was PHENOMENAL, food equally great. Went to Pyrgos after a funeral service, and when I called the night before asking for a reservation for the next morning for 25 people, they were supremely accommodating. They were kind and compassionate and got us all in without a single hiccup. And the FOOD... Every single person raved about how fresh and delicious it was! Ive eaten there before but many at the lunch hadnt but will definitely be back! Thank you, again!

Food is 3-4 outta 5 which is not bad at all. The service is friendly and this place honestly deserves a 4 star. But the portions are small and the price is high. I understand the double carb is a Greek tradition with rice and potato but honestly they are the two cheapest things you can make. They load up on rice. And a dinner for two will easily run you 100$ match that to other places that offer a fresher dinner menu at 2/3rds the price I feel this place is a solid 3/5.

Food was great we had the lamb and chicken souvalaki the rice was full of flavour the Greek salad was cut into small edible pieces greek potatoe was on point wish i had a second piece it was so good. The pita bread and Taziki sauce where just ok but Im not a big fan of those anyways so I didnt mind. Place was kind of dead but everywhere is due to covid. Beer was served with a nice ice chilled glass. Highly recommend.

Inconsistent quality. Eaten here three times, first two were absolutely delicious! But last time not so much. Calamari was greasy and rubbery, rice and potatoes were bland MUSHY and actually COLD, as if they had been sitting a while or insufficiently reheated. This is especially strange as it was peak dinnertime and there were only 2-3 other customers. The exception was the pita, that was wonderful every time I have had it. Portion sizes are on the small side considering the prices.

Been going here for 20 years, every single time I get the same thing. Greek style ribs (ask for extra extra seasoning and lots of Tzatziki sauce) so so good. Wonderful, personable staff.

Exceeded my expectations. The food is very tasty.

THE LEMON POTATOES - authentic, delicious and perfectly cooked. Meat portions were filling and seasoned deliciously. If the greek salad had been made with a little more love (higher quality feta & simple yet authentic greek dressing) I would be giving this place 5 stars. We keep going back and have never been disappointed.
