Sushi Guru in Maple Ridge

The service was great and so is the food the raw fish was super fresh as well. highly recommend!

The food here is actually very decent quality BUT I ordered Pick up online and was not aware there was a tip added to my final bill... I asked the owner and she gave me the answer of Too bad you should have looked before you confirmed your order.. Therefore will NOT return to get food here

Original and Update: The Bento box combo dinners, which we ordered. included basic fare, but the contents were fresh, tasty, and filled to the rim. Plus, the Bento box meals were reasonably priced. We also ordered smoked salmon rolls and non-fried gyoza,. While in another persons review, they complained about the lack of real cream cheese, ours surely had such, and the salmon was pleasantly smoked. The gyoza likewise was savory. I added a special request, and it was followed. We ordered with a delivery service, and the delivery charge was waived when we ordered above a certain amount. The complimentary appetizer was also a nice touch. The delivery time was spot on, and the delivery driver was polite and friendly. This was the second time that we have ordered from this restaurant, and each time, there was no rue in Guru. . . . Added Update: We ordered again recently (Feb. 2023), and we were pleased with their options of some 2 for 1 dinners, a special dinner promo, freebie when ordering a certain amount, and their free delivery with a dinner delivery service. The quality of the food remained above par. They remained still on the ball, so to speak.

Order here quite often and we have had no issues! The food tasted great and they often have great deals going on. They have been very accommodating to my allergies and the portions are amazing! Definitely recommend :) Dietary restrictions: Sesame, dairy

Very delicious food and extensive menu! So many amazing choices. I was actually visiting family in Maple Ridge and decided on Sushi Guru randomly. Im from Vancouver and I thought I had seen everything in terms of Japanese dishes but I was a bit overwhelmed (pleasantly) with all the varieties. I will definitely recommend to others.

My brother and I come here at least once every 2 weeks. As someone who has tried every sushi place in maple ridge this is personally my favourite :) The price to portion ratio is fantastic and the quality of the food is one of the best our local area has to offer.

Open late , great food, great value . Waited maybe 10-15 mins on a 60 pcs platter with appetizers. Enough said .

Me and my partner ordered rolls there from there late night menu which I guess you can only get on skip the dishes. And we got a role that we dont usually get which had salmon and smoked salmon on top and I read all the things that was inside of it because I didnt want to be surprised. It was supposed to have cream cheese and instead it had cheese whiz. We also got dynamite roll which we usually always get, but not from this place and instead of it being a large one with two prawns and it was single with 1 prawns. it didnt have anything other than cucumber and prawn. where every other roll Ive got always has had crab in it and cucumber. I wasnt a fan of it and probably will never return

Food quality is great. Portion is big. The seafood don is excellent. The sashimi cut is thick. They also have a promo of tempura combo (6 veg. + 4 shrimps) for $6.

Order from here regularly and love it!! Gomae roll and agadashi tofu is my favorite!! Enjoy! Food : 5/5

I ve only ever ordered Sushi Guru from delivery apps and have never been disappointed. The presentation and preparation of everything I ve ordered( raw and cooked) has been fantastic.

I find this place to be moderately overpriced and their special menus basically dont amount to too much. The quality is definitely there but the quantity is lacking a little bit.

I ordered the beef bento box, gomae and a couple rolls. The food was great and decent value for the price. They did the substitute I requested through the dd app which was very nice. Good amount of ginger and wasabi, some places skimp on the ginger. Everything was hot or cold respectively bc they used a piece of cardboard to separate which is also appreciated!

Ordered few times from Skip. Their food are amazing! I love their Tempura. It was still crispy after delivered to my home and not oily. Their roll are good too.

Dinner with daughter food was excellent, big portions too. Served hot and fresh. Server was awesome

Regular spot for late night take out, and now my absolute only go-to for lunch. $13.95 for a huge amount of food, soup and salad included.

Amazing sushi restaurant with really good deals! Right now they have many buy one get one free deals on doordash which is a great way to save some money. Also, they have a lunch special for dine in at a really good price. The food is great too! Highly recommend!!

I just received my order from Doordash I ordered the Super Special of the day... Teriyaki chicken was good, wild salmon roll, good, tempera, no dipping sauce was with it, miso soup, good, green salad pretty small... It ended up to be expensive even with my $8.00 off... I missed the tempura sauce overall, service was great

Honestly one of the greatest sushi places around Maple Ridge. The staff are very friendly and super clean, not to mention they have AMAZING deals and you get really quality food! Please don t change and if you do, make sure is for the BEST!

This sushi may be too strong for some. It is in need of a few more orders, the palate it reached was reminiscent of some of my favourite places in Vancouver. Vegetarian options: Maki rolls.. plenty of selection vegetables available. Got spicy tuna roll for delivery. The tuna came fully cooked, hard and dry. Probably the worst sushi place Ive tried. Also came with a dead spider in the box

I order Sushi Guru through Skip the Dishes and have never been disappointed. Their KFC roll is really good, their Pork Cutlet is killer. Great food!

If you really know proper sushi and not just a casual sushi eater, this place is fantastic and a very good price. Quality ingredients and amazing taste.

Their salmon don is very good. Huge pieces of sashimi and a good amount of rice. They were also kind enough to give us extra radish when asked. I havent tried anything else on their menu but I will vouch for their salmon don.

For delivery drivers, expect to wait. And wait. And wait. After 6pm there is only one chef and wait times can be up to an HOUR.

Unfortunately I couldnt even eat what I ordered out of fear of food poisoning. I ordered 2 basic rolls (dynamite and california) and neither were edible. The crab in the california roll was so sour and the dynamite roll had pieces of some sort of shell.
