Donair Affair in Maple Ridge

We had a terrible experience at Donair Affair. We ordered chicken donairs, and they were absolutely awful. The chicken tasted off, and all five of us who ate them ended up feeling sick and even food poisoned. This was completely unacceptable. It s clear that food safety and quality are not a priority here. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your health.

Friendly staff, overall the food was pretty good but the rice unfortunately was dried out in some chunks and the staff member also handled the pita with bare hands after touching other surfaces so I wasnt comfortable eating it.

When I say I want a Donair this is what I mean.

The super donair is smaller than the regular donair from years ago. I get it inflation but come on the regular use to be around 9 bucks and was big now the super is tiny and cost more than 12 bucks, I m mainly complaining cause a couple months ago I got a huge donair and I didn t order a super today I was super hungry and I was blown away at the inconsistency.

Ordered a super beef donair. Most disgusting thing Ive ever eaten in my life. Meat disgusting and chewy. The veggies were expired. I couldnt even finish my food. Do not order from here.

I ordered a combo. Chicken donair, fries and a pop. The entire time the lady s were talking to each other which is no problem, ixcept neither of the two put the fries in the fryer. I have been coming here for years the donators are great and the fresh fries are my favourite. I was running late and was starving. Please just pay attention to the job more then you personal conversation

Beef donairs were awesome! Ladies were friendly, funny and the place was ver clean. Highly recommend! (There were lots of customers while we were there who knew the ladies, they so must be a great local spot!)

It s definitely not kids friendly. Chairs and tables not matching in height very discomforting. Lamb and chicken tasted funny. AC was on which my toddlers and myself were shivering. We just wanted to eat and leave. We had no napkins not even one piece. My toddler dropped her spoon and we sent her to the two ladies they keep ignoring her. My toddler kept asking them for Spoon Spoon she is only 3 yrs old. Therefore, I had to get up again and asked them for one spoon. The lady acted as if children are ghost and not visible to her even right in front of her. Minimum tip was 15% I was wondering if I should give any tip and why should I at this level of bad service. I ll never go to this donair shop again. They charge more and give less plus tasted real bad if you have tried proper donair. Don t waste your time and money their food and service is not worth it.

Okay i usually love to enjoy donair affair and i like to switch it up sometimes but man it was so disappointing i asked them to give me super which is extra meat and they were very cheap with the portions by the way i went to other locations and they were way more generous then there, second the dish had barley any vegetables in it it was consisted mostly of lettuce which is suppose to be the least amount and just gave me two slices of cucumber and two slices of tomatoes in the whole dish which was beyond cheap and ridiculous why do you have to be that way you guys have no expertise or in making food in any way, i had to beg to give me extra sauce and ask for more vegetables for them to give me more toppings and they were supposed to do that themselves it was a horrible experience, and the chicken was super dry

This is my go to place when I have a late appointment and they never disappoint! I went in tonight to grab a couple of the new Mayan bowls to take home and the ladies hooked me up with a donair. Love this place.

Its always good. Try the donair with sauteed mushrooms and onions its delicious. If you get Amanda make sure you tip her good! She is so sweet and will always put you in a good mood and she will always make the biggest portions if you smile.

The lady that helped didn t wear gloves while making my donair, she literally kept on grabbing veggies from the bowls with her hands, no grilling the meat, i bought the wrap but i was so off-put due to hygiene reasons, ended up not eating it, waste of 10 dollars.

The night-shift crew is incredibly pleasant with great customer service, and a great attitude. She s very kind and creates perfect meals

The best falafel out of all the locations Ive tried and a super flavourful balanced Donair, not too much or too little sauce. This is the first time i have experienced Donair and Donair affair at Maple Ridge has set high expectations. They just opened when we walk in this morning and the lady at the counter greeted us with all smiles. I think that is just a plus but when I told her it was my first time, she walk me through what is on the menu. I always wanted to try falafel and she recommended that I try the Lebanese with hummus and tabouli which was freshly made. My husband ordered the beef donair with pineapple and it didnt disappoint him a bit. They got big serving so we have take home some....thanks to the lady who I didnt get the name for the wonderful first time donair experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I ordered a Lamb donair through skip the dishes, and because Im allergic to garlic, tomatoes, and hot sauce, I add this information on the instructions and was completely ignored. So I paid and couldnt eat.

Food is always very good and service is always awesome! We tried dining in for a quick dinner today, I completely forgot to mention that I cant have any spicy sauce on mine. The lady happily replaced my whole wrap and did not charge us for it. 100% we will be going back!

The worst place to order SkiptheDishes from. My wife and I got ripped off. I ordered a lamb, and she ordered a chicken donair. They bairly put on any veggies. The person behind the counter has lost all pride in what they do. You can tell how they carry them selves. The last time I ordered in person, I could see they didnt care and had to tell them to put more of every veggie.

Was craving something new, so I tried donair. Had a chicken donair, which was pretty good. Definitely worth trying.

I stopped in here for a quick lunch, and it doesnt look like the place had been cleaned in 5 years. Literally an inch of dust covering surfaces. I thought Id just grab a bottle of water, and noticed the refrigerator thermometer showing 22°c. I quickly noped out of there.

Bought 2 donairs from this place and he charged me 30 dollars he will over charge you if you dont seem to care or notice it when I asked him to justify the amount he presented to be lost and confused himself or played dumb and told me to take a can of pop on him. Lol I dont want your can of pop that cost 1 dollar how about not try to scam people of 7- 8 bucks!

My son and I stopped for lunch. Very frieldly, clean and quiet atmosphere. Didnt know what to order so aked them to suprise us. And they did!!! It was soooooo good. Definitely going back.

This place use to be one of our go to but after our experience last night we will not be back. The lamb tasted off and sauces were not good. I have never seen a donair place grill the donairs after putting them in their sleeves.

Went to Donair Affair after not having been in a while due to the place looking quite dirty but the food was always good. So I went to check it out again and to my surprise it looked so amazing and simple but a bit of an upgrade. Perhaps new owners that take pride in their business. The person that served me was amazingly friendly, smiling and had excellent customer service skills. There was a nice new menu board. Great prices. They made substitutions for a small fee. This is very exciting for me because this is my most favorite donair place in Maple Ridge. The food was so fresh and they use quality ingredients!

Delightfully amazed by the quality of the Donair--havent had the likes of it since I first tried a Donair in Chicago in the 70s and the homemade Baklava is to have a taste of heaven!

Ordered a falafel donair and as many others have said on here, the falafels were put into the microwave. They had very little taste if any and to add onto it, there was a piece of meat (either lamb or beef) inside the donair. This place used to be good but that was awful and definitely not going here again.

They make delicious Donair and platters, made exactly as you like it. Ive tried the Falafel, Beef and Chicken all real good, but Ive never tried the lamb. I try to eat here once a week because I can feed an adult for about 7 bucks each, good job guys.

All the workers are really friendly and caring. You get your food and drinks really quick and fair price. Thats the place you want to take friends and family because you wont get disappointed.

I always eat here and they are always amazing!! But today, there are new people and my donairs were both made without a mask on as well as the 4 in front of me(Noone said anything sadly including me) and on top of that she broke the wrap and instead of remaking it she just put another over. I dont want to be complaining about my favorite place in town but apparently I am.....

Im sorry to write a negative review, but We were all 3 dissapointed with our orders today. Ive been coming here for years eating the same thing. A super Lamb donair. I decided to buy for my son and his girlfriend too thinking they would become customers as well.. My son had the super chicken donair, and the girlfriend had the rice platter with lamb. She said the lettuce was bitter and the humas tasted off. We all said it was lacking flavor and the donair meat was dry. I found it had Less cheese and dressing than usual too. In defence of the owners and their family who normally run the restaurant, today had a different couple running things,

They actually tried to warm up the falafel in the microwave!!! When I called them on it they threw them on the hotplace but doused them with so much water that they still came out completely soagy. To top it off their hot sauce was tomato paste and nobody of the people preparing the food is bothering to wear a mask! Dont waste your money and live longer by going somewhere else!

There are only a few donair places in Maple Ridge. This one is ok and the owners are really friendly. My 2.5 year old was really interested in the bags of chips, so they gave him one for free! I had the Lebanese lamb and my wife had the Lebanese chicken. The helpings are large. Im typically a big eater, but I was happy with their regular size. All that being said, Ive had better donairs, but because there are only two donair locations in Maple Ridge, there isnt much choice. Id go here again.

Avoid at all costs!! So many issues I need a list for the rice platter. 1) tried to give me microwaved falafel 2) meat from warmer instead of fresh 3) meat was overly salty 4) watery humus (very salty) 5) watery feta 6) sweet and very salty salad 7) absolutely filthy. This place should be reported. Needless to say I will not be going back and if I was you I would avoid at all costs.

Ive been coming to this place ever since I started working in the area and needed a place to go when I need a change of scenery. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is delish! I always get the chicken & rice platter with all the sauces. You can eat in, or take your food with you, packed up nicely.

Their fries is to die for with their special sauce. I had donair where it was dry and tasteless but donairs here are made with fresh meat, full of flavour and variety of sauces (not to mention their portion is HUGE). I always drive from Coquitlam to Maple ridge only to satisfy my cravings for their one of a kind donairs! Thank you!!
